Its my first time here, and I will definitely return. The breakfast was huge, and the banana caramel pancakes were delicious. Service was very attentive. My coffee cup stayed full and the atmosphere was like home.

Definitely more bang for your buck!!! This place provides plenty of food for the heavy-duty hitters. Great price, nice facility, and not much not to like. The fresh orange juice was a surprising treat. Ordered Chicken Fried Steak and wifey got French toast, she ate it all. I couldnt finish my meal, not because I didnt want too, but I had no more room. Lol!!!

My niece and I enjoy having breakfast here on Saturdays after working hard all week. We relax and order whatever we crave at the moment, which is always a great choice. The service is nice and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for those of us on strict budgets.

The waitress was so sweet, nice and very concerned if we needed anything during our eat here. The food was not the best. They had wings as a new item on the menu, you can tell the wings were fried frozen straight out a bag, no seasoning, very dry and barely no meat. I ordered my breakfast potatoes with onions and bellpeppers and the only thing cooked was the potatoes. The onions and bellpeppers was raw like they threw them on top after cooking potatoes. The crepes were thick and not done in the middle. All in all will not return unless the food gets better.

First time here, I have to reduce a star since I waited 5 min at the door to be given a table. Place was half full, I understand and consider this situation . 3 employees past by me without saying a word to be taken care of . Once I had a table the young lady just placed the menu on the table and walked away. Ok, no problem . I took another 4 min for the server to come by and take my order without saying a word. I take away another star since I asked for over easy on the eggs and they came out well done . The server came by one more time after 10 min of me finishing my food . The service was felt as abandoned and just another walk in . I do not believe I could come back . Price was better than all price in South California. $ 15 Question is, do I tip ?

It was my first time here and was greeted with nice staff. With Mothers day approaching, it was decorated and gave the atmosphere some charm. I can only review on the chilaquiles plate. Tortillas was nice and crispy and beans were good. Overall I would come back if i was in the area again.

We went at around 12 pm on a Sunday with a toddler. The booths are pretty big and our server Gloria was great! She was honest with her recommendations. The coffee is nice and strong and the food came out fast. I got the waffle special and wanted to add strawberries, Gloria recommended I try with Nutella and whipped cream and it was the best waffles Ive had! The waffles are denser in texture than your average waffle but they add some flavor to it that makes it not your average pancake or waffle. The sausage and bacon are big and thick with the bacon being not too salty like most places definitely recommended for families.

The servers only took care of themselves, and our server was missing in action most of the time. My coffee got refilled once, and it took a miracle to get any service. But as soon as my credit card hit the table, they were Johnny on the spot. And the noise the cooks were making talking and carrying on singing to the radio playing way too loud.If you are in the area and need some food (Be warned)

This Place is known for their Giant Pancakes. We have been coming here for years after Church. Family Homestyle Cafe has a vast menu and everything is so delicious. Their staff is kind, friendly, and attentive. If your hungry for a great tasting breakfast meal this is definitely a place to try.

Great for what it was...diner food. Large space so could easily fit a family group. The food was well seasoned, except for the white gravy, which is meant to be bland anyway, just not so floury tasting. But added to a skillet, it toned down a bit of the salt. Huge portions!

The food was great as always, the chilaquiles Verde were delicious and we tried the Verde plate and that was amazing as well... The biscuits and gravy fell a bit short and wasnt that great, and the crunch french toast was missing something to freshen it up like fresh fruit, a drizzle of some kind or whipped cream as they werent as sweet tasting as wed have liked... We also didnt care for the flavor of the sausage in the breakfast burrito and hope they will be updating some of their menu items soon as they fell short to expectations. All and all Id be returning for the chilaquiles or the Verde plate and I highly recommend those.

8.2.21 @1pm - Dined in and ordered breakfast: (1) create your own omelet with sausage and all the veggies plus side of hash browns and wheat toast; and (2) bacon breakfast meal of 5 pieces of bacon, 3 eggs, home potatoes, and a side of gravy. We both had iced waters. The meals were large. The taste was just okay. The best thing we had was the gravy. It was probably the best gravy Ive ever had. Everything is definitely made from scratch here. My omelet was full of stuff but not not nearly enough eggs and cheese making the omelet not cohesive. Overall, the food and service was decent.

We really wanted to like this place. My husband was excited to try this after church and so we went the same weekend he discovered it. We were seated as a family of 4. 2 adults and 2 toddlers. We were only given 2 pieces of silverware per adult - nothing for the kids. Hmm ok. We ordered Drinks and they came fairly quickly. With an additional coffee my husband did not order. Didnt want to complain so he chose to drink and pay for it. The coffee lady was so pleasant and helpful. Refilling our coffee and getting us a new coffee since my husband tainted his coffee with hazelnut lol. She was so nice and attentive; sucks she was the waitress who cleaned up the tables and not a waitress. She would really bring character to this place. We had 3 different waitresses because we had to flag someone down for more silverware and then another for extra napkins. Another waitress brought out our food which was wrong in different ways. I ordered egg whites for the additional charge of .95 cents. Came out with regular yellow. Hmm ok didnt want to complain and just sucked it up and ate them but brought it to another waitress attention due to our original waitress still being missing in action. She said she didnt know what was ordered but just went off what was on the ticket. My husband ordered the country fried with cheese grits. His grits came without cheese and we were still waiting on silverware. His country fried steak was hamburger meat coated breading. He was expecting cube steak not hamburger meat. We took a photo for others to see. Hmm I looked at my husband and said I think this place is a no go babe. He nodded still waiting for his cheese for his grits and silverware. Then I realized I didnt get my biscuits and gravy. I hate complaining and already waved down a waitress 4 times. I waited for them to bring my husbands cheese out. Then I mentioned about the biscuits. And the lady said oh she had white toast written down I just gave a confused glare and then she said its fine Ill get the for you looking frustrated. She came out them them and they were hard as a rock unfortunately. Couldnt cut through them. Also took a photo. The food overall was very greasy and extremely heavy. But thats just a personal perspective. It might but due to the kind of oil they cook with here. We are extremely disappointed and do not at all recommend this place. Very over priced for there quality of food. The rave might bring only due to the size of pancakes here. Nothing special about a big pancake. Oh as a side note they offer no special coffee for the coffee lovers and cafe kinda drawing you to Think they may offer different flavors of coffee. Nope. We walked out feeling extremely heavy and awful. Not due to the horrible service but the food. See photos

Very, very slow to non-existant service. Poor employee attitudes. Waited about 10 minutes to be acknowledged. Was given table. Thirty minutes later, no one had taken our order. So.... we just left.They werent very busy either. I think if youre not Latino..... they dont really want your business.This was my 2nd visit in 5 years, with a similar experience both times.

As I walked into this restaurant, the auroma of food hit my nostrils and mouth water. I ordered the 5 bacon which consists of 5 thick slices of bacon 2egg home styled poppas and subed my toast for their famous pancakes. Which by the way was DELICIOUS. Their coffee is very good and the restaurant is clean. The bathrooms were well kept and the service was wonderful. Thank You for our breakfast this morning.Alejandro and Christina

Looking for a great value with friendly service this is your place. This restaurant is nothing to look at but the food, service and prices make up for it. I forgot to take a picture of our breakfast before we started eating but wow was it delicious. Coffee was also very tasty! There is construction in the area so getting into the restaurant took a bit of effort.

Love that it is a local business! Wonderful hostess and server. The turkey sausage was over cooked though and the waffle I ordered was not as yummy as I imagined. I expected their own type of recipe for the waffle batter but it was nothing extraordinary. I like that they gave me a mountain of butter though!

The food was extremely subpar. I got the breakfast burrito with bacon and sausage and it was 90% egg with maybe one strip of bacon. My partner ordered the stuffed french toast with fruit, which wasnt even stuffed. It was just normal french toast with some strawberries on top. The order only came with 1 slice of french toast and the server didnt say anything. Had she known it was only one piece, she wouldve ordered more. And the menu did not clarify how much was coming with the meal.The service was absolutely atrocious. We were sat down and no one came to our table after 15 minutes of waiting. Not even to offer water or coffee. I can understand if they were slammed and were super busy, but in my opinion they werent. There was no sense of urgency with the staff. They seemed to lazily walk on by without checking if everything was good. Had they done so, we wouldve ordered more food for my partner.Lastly, they have charged my card twice. Both more than the original price of the bill (not including tip) and both at different values. As I dont live in California, Ive attempted to reach out over the course of multiple days. They answered the first time, and when I asked to speak with a manager they ended up hanging up on me. And since then the calls are only going to voicemail. I have yet to call my bank to charge back both charges, but that will be my next step if I am not able reach anyone.

This place has gone down tremendously, we drive over 50 miles to visit here when we can on weekdays. This recent visit will be our last, rather go to IHOP, the cooks blasting Ranchero music with street hats on, the flies inside, the waitresses bussing tables and theres 9 tables open but a 20 minute wait....never again we will just go to Arthurs in O.C. over coming to just eat a large dry pancake and below standard omelets, sometimes things arent worth the drive for my family and this is now one of them.

This place is so awesome! We stopped because we saw a sign for worlds biggest pancakes or soemthing along those line. We NEVER expected to get what we got!! Omg! We laughed so much and were so surprised! It was amazing! We also had Mexican food and it was ok but the pancake had chocolate chips and was so worth it!! Great location off the freeway with wholesome food prepared fast. It was a Monday about brunch time when I visited and it was still busy. Our food was prepared fast and to order. Great service. Definitely recommend for familys or small (5-15) groups. (They add 15% gratuity for parties over 8.) Definitely recommend this family restaurant. The huge pancake is 16 inches in diameter for those wondering.

Also got biscuits and gravy and it was not great. Would give it another try but I doubt I would pick it over some similar restaurants.

We did not know that the restaurant closed at 2:00 that day but they still allowed us to be served even though we arrived about 2:00 and were very gracious. Maria was very accommodating. Very traditional style breakfast, & what I mean traditional is nostalgic atmosphere and food, Ive now visited this place multiple times, and what can I say? Its absolutely great. We just recently found this place, though its been here for a long time! The food is excellent, particularly the lemon pancakes and the chilequiles! Their coffee is diner coffee in the best possible way! It tastes like someones grandma is in the back lovingly making every pot. The only bad thing I could say is that theres so many options I never know which I should get, but thats actually more of a good thing because its all delicious! Excellent service as well, youre coffee cup will never be empty unless you say no to a refill.

Bad service, only 2 waiters and were stuck in the back plus I dont think they had AC because their fan was full blast and on us. We asked them to move us but they moved the fan on someone else instead, then those people looked unhappy. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Today was my first time coming here and I got the chicken and waffles plate with a side of over easy eggs and home style potatoes. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor as did the waffle, the potatoes had an odd chemical taste to them and the eggs were way over done.The experience was so bad that I felt I needed to speak with the manager and see if there’s anything to do to correct the situation. He offered to make me something else to eat but I was already out of the area and the restaurant also closed in 15 minutes. I asked if he could provide me a refund to which he replied “I don’t have access to give refunds” what kind of business doesn’t offer a refund in this situation?If you are considering coming here, DO NOT.There are plenty of other better options in the area.I would recommend going to House of Eggs in Colton!

The chicken was fine, but the waffle seemed less then room temperature. One bite was enough for me to leave it alone.Even if the waffle was edible, they had no maple syrup, just generic packages of syrup that contained High Fructose Corn Syrup.Even the packages of grape and strawberry jam had High Fructose Corn Syrup.I like to read the label of food products before I purchase them, and its obvious this eatery could care less about that.Granted, the place was packed. This spot was our second choice for our defacto business meeting after our first choice was closed. Even several law enforcement officers were in there getting their grub on...then again McDonalds still attracts people, so that should tell you something.

First time here, but Ive always heard good things. I love it because its old school, greasy spoon food and I grew up going to places like this. Real eggs, giant pancakes, and friendly, courteous, quick staff. My kids loved their food even the next day, and like most of us, my kids are picky.I tried the crepe special because I was shocked they had them, but I was pleasantly surprised by the chantilly cream and strawberries on top. Im for sure coming back with the family to dine here again.

This place is horrible. If you are looking for large portions with zero flavor and lots of grease this place is for you. I was extremely disappointed. My boyfriend failed to see that the omelette came with cheese and instead of saying ok we will make you one without cheese the waitress brought over the menu to prove it said it came with cheese and if this was going to change the fact that he can’t eat cheese. He acknowledged that it was his mistake and even apologized but her attitude from that point on was horrible. They remade him an omelette soaked grease needless to say we barely ate the food. I asked for a box just to be polite and she brings the smallest box she could when clearly I still had the whole breakfast left. I’ll never be back I’ll stick to R&R breakfast in Chino.

I considered giving this place a 1-Star review but my complaint is not with the quality of the food nor the level service nor with cordiality of the servers. They were all tops. I was greeted warmly by my server immediately on entering the restaurant. I joked with her about finally finding the “World’s Largest Pancake”. I looked at them for a second and thought, am I at McDonalds or Wendy’s? Shouldn’t there be bottles of ketchup on the table in SIT DOWNrestaurant where the cost of my meal is going to approach if not exceed $20?When the waitress returned I asked if it would be possible to get a bottle of ketchup. She said no, they didn’t have bottles, only packets. I continued to stare at the packets as she walked away. Then I noticed there were no salt or pepper shakers. I summoned her again asking for shakers and she repeated that they only had packets.Now the breakfast was very good, mostly the way I like it. The eggs were over easy and the fried potatoes were good, but could have had a better crust. I ordered ham steak and it was humongous, almost as big as the “World’s Largest Pancake”. I also ordered sourdough toast because I’m in California, right? I also like that they had a good selection of jellies to spread on the toast, not just “mixed fruit”I don’t blame the server. She came by my table to ask how everything was and I gave her myopinion and she said she would let the owner know. I said I would be happy to talk to her if she had a moment, but the waitress said the owner was not there.So, not the worst experience in the world but it would have been nearly perfect if they hadn’t messed up on something so basic.

Nice staff, lots of food and giant pancake that is sweet and cake tasting. Its an old restaurant womens bathroom needs painting. Booths are a tight fit as you really sink down in the seat to a point of wondering if you can get out comfortable. Food is yummy and coffee is good with my favorite creamer. Relaxing atmosphere.

Went there today for breakfast for the first time.Service was OK.Food (breakfast) was OK.Restaurant cleanliness was OK.Price was too high for just OK.$50.00 (not including tip) for 2 adults and 2 children.Compared to Norms, which would have been around $30 for the same number of people. .....plus good breakfast!If it werent for the high price, I would have rated this place 4 stars.Just my personal opinion. Hope this helps people out.I understand everyone has different experiences and/or expectations.

They let you salt your own food, so nothing is too salty. The portions are HUGE for breakfast. The potatoes are original, like half mashed potatoes fried crisp. Senior menu $8. The sour cream doesnt taste home made. The staff doesnt interrupt your meal. It was a little noisy because they sit people tight and seat large groups. The biscuits and gravy were over cooked.

Came to Loma Linda on a business trip and decided to go to this restaurant since it was so close to our training facility. We had a party of 5 we were seated waited a few minutes for our orders to be taken, 20 minutes after we made our order we were told that they had ran out of beef and could not make our chicken fried steak. Our meals were replaced by a turkey bacon sandwich wich we had to gobble down in less than 15 minutes before our training started again. Worst customer service ever, do not recommend at all. If I could give zero stars I would.

Some of the friendliest servers here, you definitely get your moneys worth of food with each plate, and you are always greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome. No matter how large or small your party they welcome you and are ready to serve. The biscuits and gravy are they best, menudo is top of the line, you will never leave hungry and with left overs.

Ive been here many times for breakfast. They have a claim of the Worlds Biggest Pancake and they are very big, probably as big as the plate itself. The bacon and eggs are a staple here and they are very good. I generally ask to get the hashbrowns crispy otherwise they seem undercooked to me. The omelets are a healthy portion, they claim to be made of six eggs each and I tend to believe them. The service is helpful and they generally seat you right away. You may have to stop them to get a refill of coffee once the restaurant gets busy. Generally, on Sundays they have NFL or soccer games on the televisions which are in the corners of the building. I really enjoy the breakfasts there and try to come back often.

This place has pretty good breakfast food, theres no way you wont be able to order from their menu. The staff is friendly and attentive. The only reason I bumped off 1 star from the 5 stars they could have had is because of what they were playing on TV. I bring my kids here because they love it, but this last time I went one of their TVs was set on the Forensics channel. I dont like my children seeing real pictures of decapitated people or listening to anything about the case regardless. I too lost my appetite. So if you do come here and see something on TV you dont like, just say something. I should have. But really, their food is delicious, I hope their common sense kicks in soon.

My first visit here and my last. Biscuits and gravy tasted like sh*+ and French toast was ruined by the fake butter they slopped on top. Server sucked forgot my drink, never gave syrupy for French toast was forgetful only came around to see if I wanted a to go box (Thought about taking the French toast to give to a homeless person but thatll be cruel punishment) and to give me the check. While staying nearby for business, I stumbled on to this restaurant by accident. It was a little later in the morning, after the breakfast rush, the service was great and the food was just as good. It tasted great, fresh, hot. It was a little more than I needed but was very happy with the visit.

Service was slow...their computers/debit/ordering were down...the biscuits in the biscuits n gravy were raw in the middle. The waitress kept trying to hand the plates to my kids over my shoulder instead of walking around(there was plenty of space on either side of the table) and setting them down...my kids are 7 and 8 and might have dropped them if i didnt take them from the waitress. I left a 2 dollar tip due to this.

Service was slow. It took a long time to get my menudo (which was horribly bland) that it was lukewarm by the time I got it. Yuck! My husband had to stop eating because his biscuits and gravy where not ready. And he wanted to enjoy his eggs with the biscuits and gravy. Im honestly not so sure what all the hype is about. In the town of Loma Linda, everyone seems to rave on and on about Family Style Cafe. Im not particularly a fan because its just normal food, nothing at all special. To be honest the food quality represents something I can just make at home within 10 minutes and save money. I eat there every week with my networking group. Were served a buffet with different items every week. We always have some sort of potatoes and scrambled eggs, sometimes eggs are also offered fried, poached, with cheese or spinach, sausage, or with sweet peppers. I am at this place for the first time and as I am writing this. I am annoyed because this is a Family Restaurant and we were treated like we were not welcome. The waitress skipped us when offering coffee to everyone. When we called her, she passed us and seemed aggravated by our requests and the funny thing is that I was the only one with kids and this is suppose to be a family restaurant.. i would have expected at least napkins at the table. Oh and when she forgot to bring our toast she looked annoyed when we asked and dropped it off so quick, she didnt waste anytime, she didnt ask if everything was ok, not once. However, she was very pleasant to her regular customers Needless to say, I will not be returning.
