Best Greek food on the planet or at least in the Bay Area. The falafel is fantssic. It is absolutely the best falafel I have ever had. The chicken swawarma is amazing. All of food here is fresh and made daily. All of the people work here are great. Jonathan, the owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet. You gotta come check it out. I promise you that yku are gonna love it.

Overwhelmingly crowded. No parking. Even during off meal hours. 1st time there at 2p Sun, ordered shawarma and plate with hummus. Had to take it to go. No space to sit. As for food, its was underwhelming at least for me as a non-Mediterranean food connoisseur. I prefer the simplicity of chicken shawarma wrap or plate with garlic sauce from Falafel Bites

Really delicious falafel! I must say, I enjoy that they prepare them as smaller balls. Makes the texture more crispy and the inside less dough-like. I definitely recommend trying the falafel. Id come back just for this.I got a Shawarma Hummus Plate recently and this was not terrible. I like that this doesnt have rice, so the plate is completely hummus, veggies, and chicken. No frills. The portions are generous, but the shawarma quality was just okay. Not super flavorful and the texture was a bit dry. Overall, not my favorite - but still a decent lunch.

Been going here for years and the quality, quantity and service is always consistently top! They never miss. My usual order is chicken shawarma on a plate with majadara. I tried their Pargiyot in a pita this time, that was very good as well but shawarma will always be my fav.This place has separate sections for non vegetarian and vegetarian, something to note for vegetarians if cross contamination is a concern.My veg friend got falafel on a hummus plate which was very tasty, I would definitely order kabob on a hummus plate next time.

My first time trying Mediterranean food. It was very busy inside and took some studying and asking questions to figure out the ordering system (you order at one counter then go wait for your food at another where you hand them the ticket). I liked that they have a separate counter for strict vegetarians so there is no cross contamination if you are on a diet.The wait time was rather long, but the atmosphere inside was pretty fun. The food was good and made well.

The layout can be a little confusing if its your first visit. If you ordered ahead then go to the middle window to pickup. If youre eating there then there are 2 sides: meat and vegetarian but you order in the middle where the register is for either side. If youre ordering vegetarian then take your receipt to that window right away and give them your choices. If you ordered meat then theyll call your number and you can also ask for your choice of veg and sides. The pickled veg compliments the meat well.Falafel are much better enjoyed there rather than to go because theyre crispy right out of the fryer. Plenty of picnic style tables and overhead heaters for those cold nights

I had a Half Falafel Pita, which has 5 pieces of falafel in it.Just right amount for me for lunch. The price is really reasonable. ($6) The staff are so kind. The vibe is nice with happy music. I will definitely come back!

They have the most amazing falafels and baba ghanoush. Pita is made fresh and can’t go wrong with the Israel salad and side of sour veggies (cabbage, carrots etc) Also a great selection for vegans and vegetarians!

Good place grab a quick bite after a short hike. The food was delicious, a little sour dominant though. We ordered a half falafel vegetarian pita and Sabich in pita. The Pita was amazing, soft and pillowy texture. The falafel was juicy and flavorful.We absolutely loved their dessert Bavarian Cream (dessert was 5/5)Lots of parking and seating available as well.Service is quick and convenient.

Delicious authentic food! The hummus was really creamy and I loved it. Portion size was big and very filling. Lots of different toppings to choose from, but I got all :) Service was fast and the chefs were really kind. Highly recommend this place if you’re down for a yummy meal!!

Really enjoyed the food here! It was cool to choose exactly what you wanted and seeing them making your food right in front of you. I had the chicken shawarma in the pita, and it was delicious; I especially liked the hummus inside the pita. The fries were nice and crispy, but they got dry and hard a little too quickly, which is my only gripe. The staff were excellent and served us quickly.

Food was good, but a bit $$$ for the quality and portion size. I ordered the classic hummus plate, which sadly only came with one pita. I recommend sharing it with another, as its not really an entree, more like an appetizer. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, there are just better places out there for the price to quality + quantity ratio.

The food here is fantastic but the high chair has no safety straps. They also only have one chair so sometimes you cant get it and I cant go with other new moms. There also isnt filtered water, just water from a tap or bottled. My toddler loves watching then make the food!

As you can tell by the >5700 reviews this place is the most deserving of 5 stars out of all the eating spots on Google Maps.To start with they prepare vegetarian orders in a kitchen kept completely separate from where meat orders are prepared. Im not a vegetarian but I still think that says a lot about how they take care of customers. Every single employee I encountered was so friendly and welcoming. It really reminded me of the family owned food stands in Hawaii. Everything is so fresh, beautifully presented and soooo reasonably priced it really is a tremendous value. It wasnt the Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean Im personally used to but I was still very happy with everything I ate. They put lentils in their rice so you get plenty of fiber mixed in your carbohydrates. My favorite: The Pita bread. Damn!Im sure the pickiest eaters on the planet would be happy with their food from Falafel STOP. My new favorite restaurant!

The best place to get Mediterranean food in town. I went there almost at closing time, but there were still many people dining inside, which speaks volumes about the quality of the food.The falafel plate and the shawarma plate are must-tries. They come with a salad, hummus, pita bread, and your choice of falafel or shawarma.I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Mediterranean food.

Really good shwarma and kebobs, comes with a large variety of vegetables that makes the meal feel that much healthierGot the classic vegetarian hummus plate, not as much variety as the other options but still a solid meal.The sabich vegetarian hummus plate is more in line with my expectations of what the plate should be like, a diverse mix of different vegetables and fillings. Great food! Huge portions and very fresh. Loved the falafels. They werent dry at all and you could tell they were freshly made. The chicken shawarma was very moist and had good flavor (I got the plate with rice). The only thing I didnt like was that it was a little confusing to order (it seemed like there were multiple places to order and pick-up). Would definitely go back for the great food.

Man, Im still thinking about the hummus plate I got there!Some of the best Mediterranean food Ive had and the pita! Oh, the PITA! It was like a homemade biscuit your grandmother made!I will definitely be back the next time Im passing through.If theres any advice I could offer to anyone planning on trying this spot for the first time is that first the ordering is a bit confusing... theres multiple widows for multiple types of orders such as vegetarian, grilled meats, and pick-up orders. And also study the menu online before you get there! It helps to keep you from suffering from decision fatigue. I hope to be an expert regular there someday.

Sitting outside under the airy orange awning, the ambience at Falafel stop is convivial, especially if youre in a group. Service is slow, so you have to be patient. The food tastes great- we ordered a falafel salad and chicken hummus pita, and the ingredients are fresh. They assemble it before your eyes. But, like I said, you have to be patient.

This place literally blew me away! I had no idea that this little establishment would have such large amount of unique flavor, especially when talking about a type of food Id had dozens of times previous.They even had outdoor seating that was covered from any possibility of rain, oh and Heat! I saw this place on the happy cow app for vegans.I asked the employee at the register for a falafel sandwich and fries but I wanted to know if the fries were cooked with the least in the deep fryer. He said yes then asked me if I was vegetarian or vegan. He then told me that they actually use egg whites in their falafel so its not vegan. The app or the restaurant messed up bad on this one.

Food is mostly good, but has gone downhill. It used to be a 5 start for authentic Isreli food. But my take out order today turned out to have a re-heated pita instead of fresh.There are a few sure way to ruin the experience, and a re-heated pita that has some stone-hard parts (usually fom micro-wave) is close to top top. Sad to see that the once guaranteed fluffy warm pita is no longer what they have now.

I got the chicken schwarma plate and my friend got the jersualem mix. I preferred the latter, but the schwarma was pretty good too. The guy assembling my plate loaded it up like crazy!! I really appreciated that. This will easily last me 3+ meals.I didnt realize the plate didnt come with rice automatically (its rice or fries) so I got the fries, next time Id get the rice. The spicy sauce is not spicy really, so dont be afraid to load it up.

Its *easily* lasting me for both lunch and dinner, and thats after I went to the gym this morning!- This place is right across from a 24 Hour Fitness gym; I cant think of a better recovery meal than some quality hummus + fresh-grilled meat!- But for vegetarians, worry not; not only are the falafels delicious (I got to sample one!), but theres a VERY separated area *just for vegetarian order prep* to avoid any cross-contamination with meat!Meh:- Atmosphere isnt much to write home about (at a noisy intersection). Here the shawarma served only in a Pita bread which is so thick since it doesn’t tastes good. Also the environment is not so family friendly comfy. Instead the walls its just covered by the screens. The food is really tasty, I usually eat meat, but here the falafel is just as good as a meat sandwich! Everything is very fresh. I like that theres an option to get 1/2 pita, I usually cant finish a whole one so this is perfect for me. Ive also tried the beef kebabs and they were grilled to perfection with a little charring just the way i like them. Very flavorful. The chicken marinade wasnt my favorite as Im used to a more tangy lebanese-style shawarma marinade with less nutmeg.Inside there are two different grills, one vegetarian and one for meat. Their ordering system is a little awkward and intimidating, but the staff is always nice and patient. You have to order in the middle and then pick up in either the left or right counter, depending on your order. Then the person at the counter will ask you which toppings you want, but its impossible to tell what the toppings are. So I usually get everything because its difficult to communicate. Ive also had some luck with saying which toppings i didnt want, so keep that in mind if there are toppings you need to avoid. Overall Im still happy with the toppings, i always end up with plenty of fresh vegetables in my sandwich.

Wow, what a value. Fresh food made to order that tastes great, big portions and is very reasonably priced, how can you go wrong. We did humus, falafel pita and a grilled chicken pita. All were excellent. It does have a little quirky aspect with its ordering and pickup structure. One line to order with online, seperate vegetarian or grilled food lines for pickup. When you know better, you do better and now that I know how great this place is, I know to go back as often as I can. Had to get my Jerusalem chicken plate over majadra rice again and I think this will always be my go-to dish. I do want to try the vegetarian sabish sometime but tonight had to be Jerusalem mix again. This time I tried the Bavarian cream for dessert and it is a vanilla custard topped with chocolate sauce and walnuts. Falafels were missing salt, green spices. The pita was great. The order and pickup counter is chaotic and stressful, needs to be remodeled. Im not sure its worth the wait if the falafels are mediocre but Ive had good meals here in the past.

It was during covid and was pretty crowded and busy. They did have a few tables for dining outside. It was our first time eating there so not sure we made the best food selections. We did try the hummus and the falafel which were both good but did not live up to the best youve ever had hype. Will give them a 2nd chance soon and provide a more detailed review with photos.

Came here on a Thursday night with my friend and this place was pretty packed but the line goes quick!Food: I got the falafel pita and it was a good size! I liked the falafel inside but it was a bit dry and the pita was extremely hard to keep together so I opted to use a fork to eat.Service: You order at the counter and then you can customize your order with the people in the kitchen which is a cool touch!Ambiance: Super casual, outdoor seating only and a really quick bite!Overall I had a decent experience but wasn’t the best pita I’ve had, would come by for a quick cheap meal if I was close by.

The Falafel Salad plate is the obvious item to order here. It comes with falafel balls, hummus, baba ganoush, and a great assortment of fresh and pickled vegetables. The falafel is fresh from the frier. Theres usually a line though it moves fast. The separation between the vegetarian and meat line is confusing but all in all the place is great. I eat here about twice a week. If youve never tried it and like eggplant - check out the sabih.Edit 2019-10-27 - 9 months later, still taking away food from here about 1-2 times a week. I recently discovered the teriyaki chicken plate. Its got all the different salads under it (hummus, tahini, eggplant, canbage), and the chicken is nice and sweet.Make sure to ask for pickled cabbage on the side, its a free extra and is delicious.

They serve delicious food. I ordered Falafel Wrap and it tasted great. Two things I would like to share feedback about. One is the size of the serving plate. It was very small (like 4inch size), smaller than the size of the falafel wrap. It was inconvenient to eat in it as food was spilling outside. Second is the water faucet. I ordered a cup to fill in the water. Water faucet and the water did not look clean, and hygienic. Hope these can be improved.

Had to discard most of the chicken - turns out, I was the only one to order this during the 15 minutes I waited. This place is AMAZING! A friend of mine who works nearby kept telling her about this place, and I took it with a grain of salt, but the hype is real! The food is super good (Try the Jerusalem mix and Bavarian cream) and I came out happy and full, the best post-lunch feeling ever. I came at 11.30 on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so it wasnt crowded, but on a normal day, Ive heard it can get really packed (My friend usually tries to come ~2PM to avoid the lunch rush), so plan accordingly. Also, the seating is pseudo-outdoors; therere 6-8 picnic tables and benches with a temporary roof in case of rain. There are also a ton of pigeons (probably feeding on scraps), but not once did I see one hear the kitchen, and theyre not a disturbance once you notice them the first time. Theres a dedicated vegetarian menu section, so there should be something for everyone. Would definitely visit again, lunch, dinner, or whenever!

Food is good value when fresh. Placed an order for pickup hours beforehand, but had to wait over 30 minutes just to pick it up when I saw my order ready on the shelf behind the counter. They do not permit you to pick up your own order b/c they give you the falafels fresh and need to add the sauce packs, but that meant being stuck in a long line when I was in a rush. The system is broken if you have to wait 30 min in a line to pick up food you ordered ahead and can see sitting there cooling down.

Awesome food and people with a nice little street food vibe! The shawarma, kebab, and chicken thigh are all good if you like legit Mediterranean meats! Some people might like the Jeruselem mix better but I think the mixed meats are little too diced/small to me so I didnt get the same level of Whole-cut like meat satisfaction. Tripped on the sliding door sil when picking up food. No concern for safety. No yellow tape, no watch your step sign. You need to warn people there is a trip hazard on the floor so they dont trip. It is just common decency to put some yellow tape down.This place has really gone downhill. There are about a dozen junk cars 🚗 parked along the perimeter of the property. Nothing has changed; why do you store junk cars on the property.Cannot and will not return to your establishment.
