Great location close to LAX, across the street from Ralphs, Starbucks, In N Out and so much more. A Brewery within walking distance. A very nice courtyard with pool and rooms with balcony (on request/reservation). The staff are what set this place a part. Friendly airport shuttle drivers who get you to the hotel quickly! Very nice front desk staff who go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. I have stayed here many times and one time I had a major major issue but the management provided excellent compensation which is appreciated. I look forward to staying here again.

I was there for 3 days and I enjoyed the entire duration of my stay. The room was clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They addressed issues we had quickly. The breakfast was great with lots of varieties. Also love the convenience of getting coffee or tea anytime by the lobby.The best part is that you can actually reheat left over food using the Microwave in the cafeteria and just eat there. I will definitely stay there again next time I visit LA area.

Airport shuttle is a joke. they make you wait for over an hour at the airport then place you on hold. when you finally get through to an agent, they treat you with disrespect and disregard.DO NOT BOOK if you care about your time. Or factor in the price of an Uber into your booking.the AC in my room was broken.hallway noise was audible from the bed throughout the night.i was given a smoking room when i booked a nonsmoking room.then during and after my stay, every interaction with the staff at this hotel was downright hostile. this hotel clearly does not care about its guests. avoid if at all possible.

A true 3 star hotel, not very luxurious but good for a quick stay.The rooms are nice, but there is a slight smell in the rooms and hotel in general. The bathroom is slightly outdated and the temperature knob for the shower didnt work (you either get hot water or no water at all). Most of the channels for the TV dont work.The breakfast was good, I specifically booked this hotel because I saw in the pictures that they had a waffle maker and it did not disappoint! There were also muffins, toast, bagels, yogurt, scrambled eggs, coffee, and milk.The hotel staff were very nice and friendly!

Do NOT stay at this hotel. Our company reserved over 20+ rooms for our corporate event. Some reported bad smell, mildew, and what’s worst, they didn’t clean my room twice in a row. I did NOT have the do not disturb sign out and I also called them the first night to tell them pls clean my room tomorrow morning as I will be out by 7:30am. Came back at 5pm and all I hear is excuses from them.They will add some points to my Marriott membership. Well, I don’t need points, I need my room cleaned and trash taken out and refresh the towels.Don’t stay at this hotel as it also looks nothing like what you see in the photos. More like a cheap 2 star motel.

The staff were absolutely incredible. Everyone was so warm and kind and just generally really nice. They were able to answer all of our questions and provide recommendations. The hotel is nicely laid out and feels very fancy. The only downside is that the elevator is small. It was hard to fit four of us with suitcases in the elevator.

Very close the airport with 24 hour shuttle service on the hour and half hour. The room is nothing special. It’s a decent room for a great value near the airport. Perfect for an overnight stay. The staff I interacted with uniformly friendly and pleasant especially the guys at breakfast. It has a very decent buffet in the morning with lots of choices. There were three or four helpful staff in the place which is pretty large size.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I did a lot of research on hotels in the area and settled on Fairfield, and Im glad I did. The customer service was fantastic! Our plane landed quite early at 10 am. The hotel shuttle picked us up, and we arrived at the hotel around 11 am. Knowing check-in wasnt until late afternoon I was concerned about what we would do for so many hours without a room. Thankfully, the staff held our luggage in a secured room and put us on a wait list for early check-in. After eating lunch across the street at In n Out Burgers, we received a call to let us know a room was ready around 12:30pm. Wow, what a relief. The staff was so kind throughout the whole process. The room we initially got had a broken AC, but within 5 minutes, we were brought keys to a room right next door with working AC. The rooms were spotless and the beds were comfortable what a plus! Great balcony views as well. We enjoyed having so many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. This was another reason I decided on this location. Without transportation, I wanted to have restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel is what I would call vintage, but they have done a great job keeping it up to date the best they can. The only issue we had was that you have to take the tub drain stopper completely out of the bathtub for it to drain. We didnt figure this out until the 2nd day as we all had to stand in a pool of water to shower the first day, kinda gross. As well as the TV reception was a bit of a pain because they had direct TV, and satellite reception was pretty bad while we were there. Regardless, I would absolutely recommend staying here. If we ever are in need of a hotel close to LAX, we will definitely stay here again. Thanks Fairfield El Segundo, for a great stay!!!

I booked this hotel thinking it was a nice hotel closer to LAX airport that what it was. Our stay was from June 1, 2024 to June 2, 2024. The room was humid and smelled like straight mold/mildrew. I brought it to the attention of the front desk clerks. The clerks were very nice and tried to fix the issue. They had no other accommodations. Maintenance was supposed to came freshen up the room and they never came! I had two children age 10 and 8. We sat in the vehicle most of the day and evening. We had to purchase a candle to drown out the mold/mildew smell. The staff agreed to refund 33% of there fee at the completion of the reservation (used GoSplitty to book). 20 days later I’m still waiting for a refund but I think that is more on Gosplitty end.Be careful when booking this hotel! On June 22, 2024, 20 days after the completion of my reservation, Fairfield Inn tried to charge my credit card $50 for unknown reasons, it my bank declined the charge because the hotel did not have all the required information to process the payment. When I called the hotel, they claimed to be refunding my deposit. Mind you this is a charge not a refund and no previous charge for the deposit showed up on my statement!

Super close to the airport which was convenient and easy- hopefully you dont mind the noise knowing its so close to the airport. The amenities were good like the commentary breakfast, gym, in room mini fridge, and the noise machine in the room to help cancel the noise at night. However there were a few things that could have been better. The room was super outdated and mine had a few things that could have used repairs. Also the blanket was super thin and basically just had a sheet over it, so was not a comforter by any means. The walls were also super thin and I could hear the neighbors coming and going, talking and late night activities.. if you need a fairly responsibly priced hotel and close to the airport, its not bad, but I would probably consider staying elsewhere next time.

Perfect to spend a night close to the Los, Angeles airport. A heated pool is a big plus- kids loved it. The only advice - bring the ear plugs for a good night sleep, walls are thin and you can hear the planes too. A free shuttle bus from/ to the airport is big bonus. See the sign for the collection point at the airport in my pictures. You need to call the hotel to let the driver know you need to be collected when you are at that sign.

We were a little disappointed with the service and staff. We had 3 rooms.There were no hand soaps or any body lotion in any of our bathrooms. When we asked we were told the shipment was delayed and we would not get any. After couple requests 2 rooms got a small bar each.One of our rooms needed cleaning. We requested it 3 times but the room was not cleaned even once.The drawers in one of our rooms were broken and would not close.The lamp in one room did not work either.Definitely not staying here again.

This place is a maze. Its hard to find your room. The room is nice, but the wallpaper was coming off the walls. The bathroom was not the cleanest. The ac/heater has a constant click sound in the room i was in. The tv remote wasnt working. The bed/pillow had a smell of vomit on it. Not sure i should even give it 3 stars. The breakfast was decent and the staff was nice.

Had a great stay here. Heated pool, 24/7 gym, hot breakfast, tea/coffee 24/7 and free shuttle to and from the airport. My only complaint is their thin walls; I could hear every suitcase being rolled outside my room, but there were white noise machines in every room which helped. The front desk staff were extremely kind and accommodating. They even got me an early check in and their checkout time is 12PM! I would definitely stay here again.

We had a really nice experience here. Our room had an issue with the bathroom door and the front desk had it fixed while we were at dinner and extra towels came super fast. The room was tight for 4 adult-sized humans, but worked fine. Everything was clean and the balcony was a nice add-on. Breakfast was good.

A very fair hotel for the price and location. Parking is a bit annoying if you have a lot of luggage, but everything else was good.Gabriel, from desk staff, was extremely friendly. Room was big enough and the bathroom was new and renovated.It’s just across the street from a supermarket and Starbucks. Very convenient.

Staff is nice, upgraded my room after several requests. Didn’t like housekeeping walking in my room at 8am. when I informed the front desk they said “oh I’ll have the supervisor look at that.” Look at what? Why is housekeeping entering my room at 8am? No apologies either. Their TVS don’t have any internet TV, so stuck to direct TV. Pool is heated so that’s nice. Room smelled like mildew and mold. A very strong smell, our bed and towels also had pieces of hair on it. Being here was just for the convenience of the location. Wouldn’t stay here again.

I was visiting LA for the first time. Check in representative Gabriel was nothing less than AMAZING. He was very polite, showed enthusiasm in his role, and made us feel welcome. He provided suggestions for food & shopping, which did not disappoint us. However, the first room we were placed in (427), had a terrible mildew smell, with a huge honey bee nest on the balcony, and they were swarming. We were then moved to 2nd floor, where we stayed first two nights to only realize this room was infested with ants( 217). Ants were all over bathroom floor & also crawling in the bed. We only noticed after being bitten a few times. Contacted hotel staff immediately and was moved to another room. Spent our final night on the West wing (485) .. at that point we were exhausted from this hotel stay & all of the room transfers.

Needed a quick one night stay after an evening arrival into LAX. Shuttle pick up took a bit after calling, but it worked fine. Easy check in. The hotel is old, but the lobby and outdoor courtyard is nice. 24/7 coffee was available. Bit of a maze trying to find our rooms. Rooms were definitely not up to Marriott standards...they smelled awful...smoky/body odor/litter box scent. Rooms are really small and insulation was poor...we heard every door slam and people coming and going all night long. They do provide a sound machine, which helped, but obviously they get complaints about the noise. Bed was comfy. Location is great... walkable to lots of restaurants and a grocery store across the street. Worked for 1 night, but would probably choose somewhere else next time.

Had the worst experience at this Fairfield/ALoft Hotel.1) The hotel doesnt have working A/C or heat half the time so they give you a crappy tiny space heater or a fan.If they dont have either they give you a blanket which is just unprofessional service to any guest.2) The Internet/Wi-Fi doesnt work properly in the guest rooms, so I wouldnt do any business trip stays at this hotel because you wont be able to get online.3) The phones, TVs, fridges, outlets & lamps dont function as they should. Youll be calling for maintenance constantly for repairs for a room they told you was ready.4) Its a very old building and the plumbing for the sinks and showers are busted. Shower handles will fall off when you shower. Tub/sink gets clogged ALL the time.Toilets leak water out the bottom base. Also sinks have really slow water pressure.5) There is mold in the rooms. Especially in the bathrooms to shower. Absolutely disgusting!6) They have a parking lot with guest cars that get vandalized and broken into. There are no security cameras in the Fairfield parking lot so park elsewhere.7) Housekeepers do not clean rooms properly as you can see dust clogging in the air vents, lamps are crooked, trash behind cabinets & dust/spider webs in corners of the wall.8) Maintenance doesnt repair anything correctly. Stained carpets, water ceiling damage, rusty balcony doors, GFCI switches and so much more they ignore.9) Shuttles are late, not always on time.10) Elevators constantly malfunction all the time. Take the stairs!

Decent hotel. Definitely old bones to the structure and could use some work. Smaller rooms and not as nice as most Fairfield Inns. And they definitely cut corners on the breakfast and did not have all the items that a Fairfield typically has. Wouldnt go out of my way to stay there again.

The rooms are nice, but my heater didnt work, and after sleeping two nights in this chilly room I finally got a space heater. They were nice enough to give me a credit and Im happy about that. Theyre very nice and I will be staying here again. The breakfast is very good, love the oatmeal and theres a decent variety. And they have a shuttle service.Update on another recent stay, absolutely the beat check-in, the front desk reception made me feel so valued and recognized my Marriott status, she gave me a welcome bag and was so very professional and pleasant. I stay at a lot of different hotels but this one is one of my all time favorites. Im a flight crew, but I also stay at this hotel for family visits, if I need to stay someplace I always prefer to stay where Im valued no matter the cost or reason for my stay. They value me and I value them. Really nice staff, most of the time.

Great convenient location for layovers and overnight stay. Very close to the airport, about a 10-15 min ride with the hotel shuttle.The hotel is old but has renovated most areas that we went to - our rooms, lobby, dining area. Our room was spacious and clean. Hot breakfast in the morning, plenty and nicely spaced out food stations so there are no line ups. Walking distance to restaurants (literally across the road).Hotel shuttle was very good, left on time going to the airport(every top and bottom of the hour). You need to know which terminal you are departing from to know where to get off, the driver will announce which stop is coming up. They stop at every Hotel/Private Shuttle stations marked as Red on the airport map. Pick up from airport can be quite a wait, shuttle will come every half hour from the stop you are waiting from.Staff were polite, friendly, and attentive.Overall great experience for us for an overnight stay.

Great place to stay if you are going to or coming from the airport. Free shuttle bus that leaves every 30 minutes from the hotel. Only slight issue was the pickup. If you are coming from the International terminal, aka terminal B, you will need to walk up to the departures level and walk to terminal 3. Look for the red zone sign. There is No shuttle bus pickup from terminal B. Finally, breakfast was free and available at the hotel and was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Can not recommend this property when need to fly out of LAX if you need rest and convenience. Location wise, there’s shuttle to airport, but it’s first come first serve, so be prepared to “fight” for seats, then listen to commands of the driver as if you’re prisoners, just end up being dropped off super far from your airline even had been asked multiple times for the info. You’ll just be told to walk over. Better just take an Uber. Then car rental companies hotel shuttle do not come to this hotel as it’s considered too far.Room wise, when first assigned room, all special needs were ignored. Why even bother to ask in the first place then. But upon insisting we got a room that fulfilled our special needs but had major electricity problem! There’s no heat in the room, in mid of winter, even LA it’s cold during the night! Electrician had to come to the room, provided a portable heater but only to have power and electricity to completely go off 3 times during our 1 night stay. Have not had this much problem at a hotel forever, stay away from this property if you want a restful night prior to flights. They did refund us in full for what we paid but the stress and anxiety’s uncompensable.

Not great. The tub drain backed up so standing water while taking a shower. Pretty gross.TV remote didnt seem to want to change channels in any normal way, i.e. up/dn channel. Had to enter individual channel number, and then could only enter 1-9, no double digits. First world problem, but it matters when traveling.Sink hot water never did get hot after letting it run for several minutes and even turning on the shower.Bed sheets felt clean and crisp! Well done on that front.

Nice airport hotel with shuttle. Free full service breakfast daily and bar in the evenings (Tuesday-Fridays) with nightly popcorn. We stayed the 1st week in December, so there was a gift wrapping station, letters to Santa area, and hot chocolate bar. Stayed in room 329. The view was perfect of the pool, gym, nightly firepit and lobby area. We didnt want housekeeping, so I cant comment on their services, but they seemed friendly and competent. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Robert checked us in early and always was smiling and helpful. And they ALL ALWAYS say welcome down (when coming downstairs) or welcome back when walking into the lobby. Overall nice clean hotel, friendly staff, and great amenities.

My stay provided me with the basic necessities I needed such as a shuttle bus to and from the airport and breakfast. I liked that they had a pool but I didnt have time to go in it. The building and halls are easy to get lost in, we couldnt find our room at first because it was located in a different tower. Housekeeping never showed up.While I was doing research for a hotel to stay in, I called to see if they had all the services I was looking for and how much I would be spending in total for my stay. I asked how much a certain room would be for 2 guests for 2 nights and the person with me on the phone didnt know. They said for me to check the website because it had all the information I needed there.After looking through the website I booked my stay with this hotel because Im on a budget and I thought it was affordable. My Total for Stay came out to be $284.19 as said in the confirmation email they sent me when I made the reservation. They did not make it clear when I would be charged for my stay but it turns out you pay when you check in. Later after looking into my bank app they charged my card $390... I couldnt do anything at that point because we were already there and we had business to attend to. Then when I got my receipt after we checked out, the balance they charged me was $411.98.In conclusion I felt played and lied to. They arent clear about the amount youll be spending to stay here. Fairfield lied about the amount I would be paying for my stay.

Room smelled of mold and mildew. Opened the sliding door to the balcony but couldnt get rid of the smell. Asked to be moved to another room and they moved us but that room also smelled. Could not take the smell. Was refunded and the hosts were very good about it. I love Marriott properties but this one needs an overhaul.

Im going to write a Pro and Con review, to justify my reason for giving 3 stars instead of 4.Pro:Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable.Service is friendlyFree airport shuttle that leaves promptly on the hour and half hourLarge breakfast area with lots of seating.Included breakfast is pretty good. There are scrambled eggs (good ones, not that powdered crap), bacon, cold cereal, breads, english muffins, sweet muffins, hot oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit.The small bar area is wonderful. Here, you can purchase a variety of wines, beers, cocktails, and liquors. This is a fantastic addition for a small, budget property. It is open Tues-Sat from 5-10 PM.There is free popcorn from 5-10 PM.The hotel is built around a courtyard, with a pool and nice seating, and a fire pit. The fire pit was great on a chilly evening.There are a variety of restaurants, a Ralphs supermarket, and a CVS, all a couple of blocks walk from the hotel.Con:The room smelled a bit of mildew. I am very sensitive to mold and mildew, and it wasnt strong enough to bother me, but the smell was noticeable upon entering the room.The hotel is on a busy street, so there is quite a bit of traffic noise. I live a block from a busy street, so I am used to it. Others may find it too noisy.It is on the flight path of LAX, which is VERY close, maybe 2 miles at the most.Some of the balconies on the rooms are in a terrible state of disrepair, with rotted wood, or missing wood, underneath the cement slap. This really ruins what could be a very nice place to stay, as it looks unsafe, and this is my main reason for a star downgrade.The design of the building is odd, with steps up and down everywhere. There is one elevator that requires no stairs, so for anyone with mobility issues, be aware.Overall, the property was perfectly fine for a one night stay post-cruise and pre-flight home. I would certainly stay here again for a night. It is a terrible location if you plan to vacation in the area, as it isnt really close to much of anything.

This is a very cozy little hotel. We had to book a two night stay last minute for an unfortunate event, and this place was just right! The staff were very kind, the breakfast was pretty good, and the rooms were very cozy. Not luxurious, but thats what makes this hotel work. Its comforting, inviting, and warm.I would highly recommend this hotel if youre looking for a budget friendly stay close to the airport.

Good stay! The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. The breakfast was quite good. The building is a bit old and smells as such. The beds are decent, not amazing. We had a broken bathroom door that was a bit of an inconvenience but not a deal breaker. The location is perfect, everything you need is within walking distance. The pool area is nice! Laundry room has great washers and dryers for only $3 each. They also are willing to hold your bags after checkout if your flight doesn’t leave for awhile.Definitely would stay again, good value.

Its 2023 and they still use an air freshener in the room, not getting that many people are allergic these days. And it just so happens, this air freshener smells like a cats litter box. Actually, thats putting it nice, it smells like cat piss. I know this because I changed rooms three times and all of them smelled the same and all of them triggered my cat allergy.... Or maybe my air freshener allergy. Either way, my worst experience at a hotel in my life and Ive been a pilot for 20 years. Thats saying something.

The staff is very nice. Location is nothing to write home about. It is an Airport Hotel. A nice one. Complementary airport shuttle available. The lobby is modern. Complementary breakfast is a plus. The rooms are very clean. Compliments to the staff. Only negative is the horrid 1970s colored carpets and orange wall paper that clash with everything. Hotel definitely needs a refresher. For that Id give it 2 stars. Putting my personal opinion aside I give it 5 stars because the place is very well maintained and the staff is very nice.

A surprisingly quiet spot convenient for LAX. We arrived from Australia early in the morning and had booked the previous night so we could check in straight away and clean up and get some rest. No problem sleeping during the day as it was so nice and quiet. Next morning I used the pool which was a comfortably warm temperature and nice and clean. Handy location with shops and a brewery close by. Great stay, we would do the same next time we visit LA!

First I’d like to thank Gabriel and Tania and their awesome customer service skills at the front desk. Both were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good and fresh. They live on the east coast, and have used this hotel repeatedly before they take cruises out of nearby Long Beach. Alert - Barn door for bathroom door with no lock! Didn’t honor late checkout per the Marriott guaranteed term.Avoid this hotel if you are not okay with a barn door for the bathroom! They are heavy to move, no lock, and no sound proof. Imagine someone is taking a shower or using a hair dryer while someone is trying to sleep in the room, all the noise would come to the room... bad design. This is the first time at a Fairfield hotel that I encountered which has a barn door (normally they are in SpringHill), hope this is not a new trend.For Plantinum+ members, if you plan to stay here and request your late checkout at 2pm or 4pm, avoid this hotel! They couldn’t honor my request and said the latest they could offer was 1pm. It’s a guaranteed offer per Marriott term, except “Late checkout subject to availability at resorts and convention hotels.”, which I don’t believe is applicable to this hotel. This hotel works with a lot of airline crews, so it often gets sold out. Avoid it if you want to get early check in or late check out.In my room (Tower tower), the toilet isn’t fully secured/tied to the floor, so it would wobble and would hit the back wall. And also the layout of the AC unit and desk is terrible. The AC/fan couldn’t be turned off (probably an issue with the thermostat), and if you are trying to do work at the desk, the fan would be right next to you blowing air to your head… whoever designed this clearly didn’t take any practical user experience into consideration.The attitude from the receptionists was just okay. They are a very busy hotel, they don’t seem to appreciate my business. We didn’t use their parking, as there are plenty of free street parking spots if you drive around the block.- Shuttle to the airport is a huge plus for this location (I believe it runs 24 hrs). They run every 30 minutes, and when it gets busy, they run additional services. They have 4-5 shuttle buses in total (shared with the next door hotel Aloft) which is pretty good.- Nice courtyard with lots of seating and a nice swimming pool. Very chill.All in all, it’s an okay hotel to stay. Just knowing what you are getting so you don’t come in with the wrong(higher) expectation like the normal Marriott standard.

I stayed 2 nights here. Even with parking fee the overall price for staying here is still fair. The parking lot is a 1-2 minute walk, so that wasnt a problem for me. Didnt know the stay even came with free breakfast which was nice, however, it ends at 9/9:30. Room was good, but the only complaint I have is that the walls are thin so you can hear the guests in the room next to you. Staff were great and helpful. One of the best attributes of this hotel in my opinion is its location as it is safe. There is a gas station next to the parking lot, an in n out and chick fil-a nearby, and also a Ralphs store and more. It is also not too far from the beach. Id definitely stay here again next time.

The bed was very hard as a rock. Woke up with sore hips and face and Im only in my 30s. I reserved a double queen room about 2 months in advance and when we arrived, the guy checking us in said they were over booked and only had King size beds available. The shuttle service was very frustrating to use. When we arrived at LAX, we called for a pick-up. Even though arrivals are on the first floor (as are most passenger pick up services), their pick up is on the second floor with the departures, which was not information we were given until we had been waiting for 40 minutes after calling for a pick-up. We called again after migrating to the second floor. For another 40 minutes, we had to wait and watch multiple shuttles for other parking services pass by. I understand LAX has monstrous traffic. We had requested accessible rooms. Those were not available. We were given shower benches. The bathroom and the rooms are way too small. Wheelchair could not go in. The beds are on one side stuck to the wall. So I would not wake up my wife, I had to sit up in bed yoga style, turn, squat, stand up and walk out of the mattress. Extremely uncomfortable. This looks like a cheap hotel design in Tokyo, not Los Angeles. They dont offer housekeeping. You need to ask for towels and schedule room cleaning. Even the garbage we took out and placed behind the room door sat there for two full days. The corridors also have a design problem. Only a special lift can be used by disabled people. Then the distance to our room was much too far. My two disabled guests really suffered. Breakfast was good. The hotel is full of foreign young people (noisy) and stewardesses from third tier Asian airlines.

We booked through Expedia but then did Marriotts check in online about 4 hours before we flew into LA. We had an email that said the hotel shuttle came every half hour on the hour and half hour. We were there before 4pm, waited 20 mins and called the hotel to find out the shuttle only comes when a guest calls. The shuttle dropped us off at Fairfield which had our reservation but was overbooked but would put us up at the Aloft hotel and our rooms were already ready to go. Aloft only got our info as we arrived and had us wait until they could get us in the system. Later we saw breakfast is an extra $15 and asked about it since it was supposed to be included in our booking, then we were told we could go back to the Fairfield for breakfast tomorrow. I booked Fairfield. I even checked in Fairfield and Fairfield never bothered to contact me (I got an email hours after I checked in the Marriott system). Very poor experience with no communication. The rooms were great and up to the predictable Marriott standard. Things were clean and tidy and up to date. The gym was adequate for a good workout for both strength and cardio. They had enough equipment and dumbells to have a solid, although lighter workout. The hotel itself looked like they had cobbled together several hotels to create the one. It made accessibility to the rooms awkward and very confusing to get to the west tower. You could seemingly only get in from the front door, even with your room key, which meant a literal maze through the hotel to get to my room, which was as far from the front desk as possible. I didnt mind the extra steps, but I definitely got lost a couple of times by thinking there may be a shortcut. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful, but it would have been nice to have the route to my room mapped out a bit more for me. It would have also been nice to have had other keyed entrances so I could come and go more easily without the entire maze through hotel.

The good: great location relative to LAX with abundant dining options, the breakfast is above par for a hotel complimentary affair, the property benefits from outstanding housekeeping overall, and the front desk staff is always very friendly and usually accomodating with late checkout requests or room upgrades. This hotel is a good value for the area with appropriate corporate discounts applied.The bad: bipolar rooms - the unrenovated rooms smell like an army surplus store and are poorly soundproofed, so you hear the people in the rooms around you yelling and acting crazy, as well as the giant subwoofers blasting away in local vehicles. In my experience, this continues even during the early hours of the morning 0200-0500, which is very frustrating. Additionally, the upper wall mounted A/C units in some rooms produce almost no heat or cold and are completely silent even when the fan is turned up, further aggravating the noise issue. These negatives are all eliminated by booking one of the newer, renovated rooms in the west tower, but these rooms sell out early.The hotel shuttle tends to be problematic as well. The drivers are friendly and good at their jobs, but some are not fluent in English. However, the real challenge is that the shuttle for this property is a smaller model, serves two hotels (the nearby Aloft as well), and only runs twice an hour. In particular when looking for a pickup from a higher number terminal when a lot of flights are arriving, such as the early evening, I have found myself left behind as many as two runs in a row because the van is already beyond capacity with passengers from the lower number terminals, delaying my arrival to the hotel by about an hour.

It has a pool and stuff. The TV is not smart. Or maybe it is but the remote is a standard universal remote that doesnt give you any options for YouTube and stuff. During the course of work, I stay at many hotels all across the country. Two weeks ago I stayed at the LAX Fairfield Inn. This was hands down the worst hotel Ive stayed at all year.The first room I was assigned felt damp and smelled strongly of mold. Luckily the desk worker was able to get me a new room quickly, she was friendly.Things that are normally standard such as lotion/mouthwash in the bathroom, full soaps, and plastic laundry bag were ALL missing from my room. Both ran completely out after just one or two pumps.Additionally, there was an extremely loud cleaning worker in the hall right outside my room that was banging their cart and trash around until midnight. The cons:Rooms smell of mold!! My church group stayed here and all of them said their rooms smelled damp and moldy as well. Same was true for the first room I checked in (#211). Asked for another room and they put me in room #119. We made a reservation for two nights, and were getting in close to midnight. I called the hotel TWICE that day to let them know we would be arriving late. When we got there, they told us that are rooms were not ready and that if we wanted to wait, a room could be available anywhere from 45 min to 2 hrs later. We are a family with kids, and i couldnt believe they would expect me to wait until 2am to get into hotel room that i had already reserved.They said that we could either wait or make a reservation at another hotel. I asked them where would i call to get a room at midnight. They reluctantly suggested to call their sister hotel next door, after which i insisted they call to see if there was availability. They were able to transfer the room rates to the next hotel.At least we were able to get a hotel room, but this was just plain unacceptable to begin with.

5-Star customer service and stay! This is one of my new favorite hotels! I will definitely stay here again. My room was very spacious with a beautiful balcony view of the pool and the fire pit! I love the dining hall area where they had FREE breakfast! The dining hall area was very clean, spacious, and had lots of breakfast options. You can eat outside or inside, which is very cool!I love that there were a lot of restaurants in-walking distance outside of the hotel.

I had a ground level room, I heard my upstairs neighbors every night I was there. Sounded like they were stomping around for hours, kept me up for most of the nights. When I would finally get to sleep I would wake up to different neighbors shower getting started. The pool was way smaller than what I thought. The breakfast was good. I asked to extend my stay just for 4 hours but they said they werent too busy to accommodate me and needed the room for other guests. They suggested they hold my luggage and I could return to use the shuttle which was a hassle. Wont be going back to this location.

Breakfast was as expected pre-packaged, processed, etc. Staff was fairly ambivalent to our needs. Property seems in good repair inside, but step to the courtyard and you’ll see the balconies are crumbling and rotten, unsafe.

Plus the dark and small room was just not inviting. The hotel itself is close to food options and well located for LAX and attractions. Its a business hotel. Take your holiday business elsewhere. Plus there is a short off-property walk to an unsecured parking lot. The neighborhood is not the best. The parking was a little unnerving. Finally the staff was a touch irritated. However, there was no microwave in the room, and the bathroom could have used a couple of cottonballs, q tips and lotion. The bed was really hard on my pressure points. I had to make a makeshift pillow top with three pillows to ease the pressure on my hips and back.

So, my check-in and check out were pretty pleasant. Dequan (I hope that I spelled it correctly) checked me in and was pretty helpful, precise, pleasant, and welcoming.My room, however, was pretty stuffy but tidy enough. The furniture could really use some TLC.I had breakfast downstairs, and it was fresh. When I returned to my room, I noticed that my toilet wouldnt flush. I returned downstairs to get assistance and was met by an uninviting desk agent with a slight scowl on his face, addressing me under-eyed, telling me that help would come soon. No apology or anything, and Im a pretty bubbly person, so there was no reason for him to meet me with such weird behavior for something that wasnt my fault. I waited an hour....I went out for the day, but when I returned around 3:30ish p.m. I found that my room hadnt been touched. I returned downstairs and asked if there were a reason that housekeeping hadnt touched my room because I really needed fresh wash clothes and a floor mat and trash taken out. I was then told, in a manner as if I was supposed to know, that housekeeping only comes the third day and that im only staying for 2 nights. I said, Well, I didnt know that, and if California is different about things, then Im unaware, but I need fresh towels at the very least.She confirmed my name and room number and said that someone would bring some up. I stepped away to grab a bite to eat and was gone for about an hour and a half. When I returned, there was not one change. I took a nap, and when I woke up, STILL NOTHING! I was done dealing with everyone, so screw it!The site had a really weird stinch that started the second day that was almost unbearable. I was leaving at 3 a.m. so I didnt care anymore. I CERTAINLY wouldnt recommend this site to anyone. If I could get some of my money back, I certainly would because the treatment was overall trash! What a shame!

I didnt like the door on the bathroom which rolls but didnt actually touch the wall on either side so theres no true the door is closed. When using the bathroom in particular I wasnt a fan of this. My reason for minimal stars on service however was due to the shuttle service. Our flight was delayed and it was midnight when we landed. We called the service but we ended up waiting 30 mins and having to call back a second time. The driver said he came thru and we werent there but we 100% know we didnt miss his bus with the big Aloft sign next to the smaller Fairfield sign. Once he finally came he was extremely rude. He asked if we were going to Aloft and even we said Fairfield and he scoffed at us, when my cousin asked if that was an issue he just rudely replies our suitcases go in the back. The front desk staff was extremely apologetic for our experience.

The room smelled like cat urine covered up with air freshener and there was a soft/sinking spot under the carpet near the bed. We were on the first floor near the lobby and it was very loud—thumping music, heavy foot traffic and partying voices well into the night. Breakfast was adequate due to the waffle maker, but otherwise unremarkable. I also did not appreciate housekeeping knocking on my door in the morning asking me what time we were going to leave. The best thing about our stay was the airport shuttle and its driver, who was timely and courteous.

Believe the other bad reviews! Gave this one a try because of location and price, never again. Hotel rooms need new carpet. Room smelled musty and old. Wanted to change rooms but nothing was available and they wanted to hold our luggage and move us while we were gone once something came up. Long walk to room with luggage. Was not informed about housekeeping needing to be requested a day in advance, beds were not made, trash was overflowing, yet on our first day housekeeping came as if they didn’t know we were there. Daily breakfast hours are too early & short, not much offered to take advantage of it. Parking is a walk, thank goodness we were able to find street parking got free on the back side of the hotel but coming in late alone could be an issue. I had to have my bill adjusted as I was charged for 3 days of parking instead of the 1 that I used. This was a very disappointing experience for a Marriott hotel.

The staff was very accommodating when we need to switch rooms because the A/C was dripping water onto the floor (it was above our heads) and was barely blowing cold air. The rooms look a tad on the older side but clean. There was a mildew like smell in some of the halls but it was not throughout the entire hotel. This is in the top 10 worst hotel experiences Ive had. Booked here for the long-term parking while I flew out of LAX. Stayed the night for one night. I didnt expect much for the price but when the front desk said they no longer carried pack n plays which I requested for my toddler, I began to worry.The real reason for the single star is the sleep (lack of sleep). The bed is rock hard and slopes in the middle. The bedsheet has some crusty material still stuck to it near my leg that Im afraid to touch. There were zero extra blankets or pillows, and as I write this its nearly midnight and there has been a constant, and I mean constant, thumping, banging and crashing, around me from at least 2 different locations; either they have party-goers in the room above me or this hotel structure is completely in-insulated from noise: I have to get up at 5AM to catch a flight so I will be flying in no sleep.Perhaps the worst part is that I already booked a non-refundable room for the night when I return from LAX. I dread that nights sleep. Please Marriott, give this property some care, or sell it to protect your brand.

This was a last minute getaway with the wife so we searchedfor hotels and this one came up. We have been loyal Marriott guests for a few years now. Getting to this hotel was easy. Plenty of parking spaces. There is a ton of different restaurants near by and Ralphs super market is across the street. The front desk is decent size and checking in was smooth and fast. Great job to the front desk clerks on Monday 27, June, 2022, they did a badass job. As a Platinum Elite member I was up graded to a nice room and was very happy with the room up grade. Room was very clean. Hotel was very clean. Continental breakfast was decent and well stocked. Gym was small but well socked with all the gear for a great workout. Swimming pool is small but it is nice to chill out. There is a fire pit by the pool to relax at night, nice addition by the way. Did not hear any noise in my room so noise cancellation is badass here. Overall, I definitely recommend this place and will return here in the future.

We had a one night stay at this hotel to begin our trip in Los Angeles. It was a childhood dream for my friend, Bryan, to go there. I asked the hotel if there could be a little attention for him. They wrote a full letter with kind word, and also adding gum and chips. Louis at the front desk was doing a great job. I am handicapped with mobility difficulties and was given a room I had to walk a football field to get to; it was across from the hotel laundry. There was an extended power outage at hotel this morning and no light&wifi was available. I had important business meetings this morning and had to change my plans because of this. The disruptions is really annoying and I was stressed about it. After communicating with the manager, they said they can do nothing for that :( I’m aware that the power outage affected more than one hotel but it surprised me that they have no generator/other backup plan for it. Our room was large but there was an intermittent and rather loud mechanical buzzing noise that was really disturbing - probably the elevator. This 1 guest was livid mad waiting till the hotel got a tow truck to move that car. He was blocked in for over 1 hour.

Theres a 24 hour coffee bar with tea and hot chocolate as well. The hotel also had free parking right across the street. The are several food options including 2 coffee shops, a subway, a 7-11, and a Ralphs within walking distance. There are even more food options within a 15 minute radius. Its conveniently close to the airport and they have a free shuttle.

Hotel was located close to the airport with shuttle service to and from. Lots of nearby fast food restaurants. Free hot breakfast selection (breads, eggs, waffles, cereal, yogurt, sausage) good with ample seating areas. We were able to check in early which was much appreciated after our international flight. The only downside were that it was somewhat noisy at night and the hallways outside the room did not have heat.

Good experience with a hiccup.My assigned room had a pungent smell of mould. I called the front desk and reported my concern. Sarah and Denise efficiently moved me to a another room and followed up with a phone call once I settled in. Room has a musty odor, not sure where .. when I complained the front desk staff responded surprised, I thought this is the only room, looking at other reviews its a common problem, why were the staff surprised at my complaint? . The sheets had sand in them !!! How is that possible if you clean it?? I requested for new sheets and changed them myself at 11 pm.. the other problem is bad bathroom door design.. my room had sliding doors that dont shut completely, it leaves a 2 inch gap.. everyone knows the why one needs to completely shut the bathroom door . This hotel is ruining Marriott brand name..

I stay in hotels every week. I have been doing it for 28 years. THIS was the worst experience ever!! Had to call 3x to get shuttle. Waited 50 minutes. The front desk was not accommodating, told me wrong information, and every question or request I had, they were dismissive and less than helpful. I do NOT recommend this hotel nor will I ever stay here again.

Front desk people are very nice but the organization of the check in line is nonexistent. The parking for checkin can be tricky if the shuttles are there too. Hotel has gym, pool with handicap chair lift, continental breakfast and is fairly sleek in style. The rooms are small but comfy. It was a bit strange to have steps right at the elevator though. Could make it tricky for those with a lot of luggage

I have no complaints about the hotel itself. Room was nice and clean. ample towels and pillows. Nice breakfast. I did however encounter 1 problem. I stayed One night over the weekend (April 6th check out April 7th). At 2 in the morning I was awaken by 2 strangers entering my room, front desk issued them keys to my occupied room. My nights stay was adjusted for the inconvenience, but I was mistakenly charged for an additional night. Mr Mendoza the supervisor reached out to personally apologize for the inconvenience and correct the charges.

We have done a road trip during 15 days in USA with différents hotel every nights, this one has the worst service of all. Rooms are good, there is wifi, à sport room and a good bar on the main floor. The employees at the reception are slow, not polite and don’t really don’t care about customers issues.

Brittany & Tania are absolutely amazing and what hospitality is all about. They are very kind, accommodating and super friendly. Our room smells like a damp basement that someone peed in, the ac and fridge both dont feel like they are working and the ac sounds like a toilet constantly running (no cool air coming from it just noise). It is soooooooo loud and inefficient. Combine that with what sounds like 30 people running up and down the halls all night. Super great for an early flight..... DO NOT STAY HERE.

Marriott should really be embarrassed by having this place. Staff was not as pleasant as I’m used to, even calling to ask for extra pillows and towels with having a family of 5 here sounded like a hassle for whatever guy was at the front desk - very cold tone. This place is just run down and dirty. The pool and courtyard is messy and not kept up at all. Room was “comfy” but AC is not as functional as normal for a hotel room and it feels damp. Shower is nice and good pressure and temperature, which leads me to give a 2 star. I hope they can straighten the attitude and overall appearance of this place. -Sincerely a Titanium Elite Member.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere was very laid back. The front desk is always accommodating. They set up is a little unusual, it almost looks like 3 different hotels transformed into 1. There is a lot of people that stay here because it is right next to LAX. Some of the rooms have balconys that over look the public pool and fire pit/table. The hot breakfast was good as well. The only gripe I had was the bathroom door slides open and somewhat closed. I say somewhat because there was always a slight gap in the door that all made you feel a little vulnerable even in your own room. Also this place is really close to the beaches as well!

Front desk guy was amazing! Very personalized customer care, remembered my name and always greeted me with a great attitude. The rooms were a bit small, the bathroom door had a sliding door, and the a/c worked but was blowing out very slowly so it took a bit for the room to cool down and heat up. The breakfast bar was sufficient and free. Items included fresh fruit, waffles, yogurt, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, veggie sausage, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, and bagels with cream cheese. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. Will stay again!

I would give this hotel a 5 star because our stay went really well, but 3 days after leaving I noticed I forgot my Nintendo switch in the hotel room. Called to see if anybody turned it in and was informed that I would get a call back or email within 2-3 hours, but didn’t receive nothing. I ended up calling them after not receiving any information and was told that I’d have to wait 3 days for an answer so that they can speak to their manager. This place has a bunch of liars and thieves and will not be retuning back. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY👎🏽

We enjoyed our 4 night stay here. The room is nothing special, but the staff are really friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is actually pretty good and lots of variety to choose from. Good location too, there are great places to eat just right across the street and very close to walgreens and grocery store. Not within walking distance to beach but less than 10 minute drive.

Worst Fairfield Inn I’ve ever stayed at. Room 133 - Checked in to room with broken/open window, strong musty odors, and water bottle on floor. Requested new room, but was told they were sold out even though steady stream of flight crews were checking in throughout the night. AC room unit did not work, which made the room extremely hot. Called maintenance down to fix unit, but he showed up with fan and said known issue that the hotel’s AC system can’t keep up in summer. Avoid this place.

I parked my car here to take a trip from LAX. The process was a breeze. You need to arrive early the shuttle leaves every 30 minutes. You check in leave your name with check in/out dates. Have your parking ticket validated before/after you leave. The shuttle arrive to pick us up at 1130pm was quick and painless. I would use this hotel to park again. For 9 days of parking I paid around $93, a lot less than Uber from where I live.

It just needed a little cleaning(refrigerator and toilet) but other than that, it was good.They offer a Grab n Go breakfast, but I always missed it.Parking isnt free and its across from the hotel.I believe WiFi is free though.🤔It was quiet, for the most part (which I appreciated).I would recommend this hotel.

The check in process was efficient. All front desk staff were professional and courteous (even remembered my name and greeted me by name when I walked by). The breakfast was robust and tasty. A staff member was dedicated to the breakfast area keeping things neat and tidy. The room was modern and clean. The downside to this location is the parking. Parking is in a seperate lot a two minute walk away from the hotel. The lot is not secured and the hotel charges a separate fee for parking. While the parking fee is disclosed during the reservation process, I expected the parking lot to be secure. Perhaps a security guard is on duty, but I did not see any guard the time I was there and the automatic gate was up and had a sign not in use posted on the automatic gate. Parking aside my stay was good.

The price for the hotel would actually fool you because its so affordable. I stay at another one that was three times the price and the service made it worthless. But I have to say that I did have one misunderstanding, and I received an email twice that took me from the Assistant Guest Manager. Marcella London.. She is Fantastic! Without her knowing who I am or what I represented she jumped on everything as well as following up!! this review is a little late because I simply forgot with time and being busy. But what I didnt forget was that Im back there again soon for some huge events and Id rather take the drive to the water in traffic just to stay at this hotel. And for me, that says A LOT. So, please know that this hotel has a small appearance on outside, but the inside is filled with professionals that truly care about service.

My stay with this hotel was very upbeat and positive. I got to the hotel a few hours before check-in so they held my bags for me while I walk down to the beach. I had a great view of the pool area. Please stay away from this place as much as possible!!! I called ahead to confirm/secure a late arrival for a prepaid reservation. Upon check in I observed how they upgraded (for free) the person in front me to the same room type I had reserved. When I arrived to my room I noticed that they gave me a lower cost room without even letting me know. I had to go back to the front desk and they told me they did not have more of my room type and I would receive a credit for their mistake. Upon check out I made sure to get a receipt that showed the credit, just in case. I waited a while and did not see a credit in my account. Since I reserved via T-mobile concierge, I had to do claims through them. Long story short: The hotel is refusing to refund they amount they clearly stated on their own receipt. This is a dishonest business and people should know about it.

Location is a bit far from the airport, but the shuttle bus will get you there quick depending on how messed up the road around the airport is.... Location has several restaurants nearby including an In-N-Out, a 24 hour Starbucks and grocery store. Neighborhood seemed fairly safe and I was not afraid to walk the mile over to the El Segundo Downtown. Hotel was either recently renovated or brand new and in good condition with a gym and outdoor pool. Good selection of TV channels too. Rooms were large and clean - mine had a refrigerator, but no microwave.

My stay was excellent because the staff unknowingly made my day by treating me with genuine human kindness. My wife and I had minutes before canceled an AirBnB reservation elsewhere because we were uncomfortable with the privacy of a unit we had booked. We started to shop around for alternatives, a quick google search brought up Fairfield LAX/El Segundo as a possible place to stay. We simply walked in, and were promptly greeted by Grace at the front desk. I cant say how many places Ive stayed at where that very first acknowledgement really sets the tone for the ENTIRE stay! Even though it was apparent she was new, (she needed a bit of assistance on the keyboard shortcuts from her supervisor Marcella), her genuine kindness made me feel comfortable right away. Their stated rate matched what I had found online, so there was no need for haggling down the price. It was a quick check in, the room was modern, clean, and all that we needed for a good nights rest. My wife and I slept well, and we kept bringing up how thankful we were to find a good spot so quickly.

Hotel is new (last 5 years or so, probably newer). Rooms are a little small for my taste. Breakfast is included and had a good selection of eggs, meats, oatmeal, yogurt, baked goods, etc. Lots of seating as well. Staff is pleasant and accommodating. Lots of restaurant options nearby. Starbucks across the street. The walls are however, rather thin. I heard at least two late night activities going on in what sounded like two rooms or so down.

It was a power outage for more than an hour this morning, and unfortunately they don’t have any backup plans. It was on the day that I have lots of events going on and I couldn’t prepare myself or have wifi/food. Other guests also have complaints that they have trouble getting to the airport. But unfortunately the front desk and manager have no empathy or compensation on this. They said it’s citywide so they have no responsibility for this. The entire hotel has an old musty smell. The 1st room they gave us smelled like old urine and the A/C unit did not blow cold air just hot. They switched us to a different room it smelled old and kind of moldy but we didnt want to move again. After getting settled in i went in the bathroom and there was somebodys hair still in the shower. The only redeeming factor for this hotel is that they have a free shuttle to the Airport.

Great Hotel. The pool area is very nice and cozy at night. The King Suites have plenty of room and are very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of places to eat and things to do. Staff is very polite and professional. Will be coming back in November to stay. There is also a van that picks you up and drops you off at LAX for no charge.

Very bad service gave away our rooms we booked 2 weeks ago waited for an hour to fix it at 11 at night now 103 still dont have rooms. Probably sleeping on the floor because Im too tired to deal with idiots do not stay here made our vacation way worse. And no one tried to help so it was sleep on the floor in our small room or sleep in the car. Ive been to way worse hotels with way better service than this place.
