This hotel was disappointing. I stayed at this hotel a couple years ago and thought it was overpriced then for the location and overall quality. It seems like it’s gone downhill fast in 2 years. Not only was it more run down, the front desk person checking us in did not say much at all. She just asked for my ID and credit card. I had to ask what she was putting on my card. Then she just hands me the keys. No direction on where my room is or other hotel information. I asked her for a couple waters and she quickly shot back saying “We don’t give out water here.” I have never heard that from any Marriott Hotel. With my Marriott status I usually receive a free upgrade. This time it seemed like I was downgraded. Horrible location on the first floor and smelly. I will not be going back to this location.

Someone else commented on this, but the curtains are extremely thin and hardly block any light coming into the room. Motels have more effective curtains. There are headlights from cars on the highway shining directly into my room on the second floor all night. Oddly enough, there are thicker curtains hanging on either side of the window that only serve a decorative purpose and cannot actually be drawn across the window to block any light. Other than that, the room is alright and service is fine, although no one was picking up the phone earlier when I tried calling the hotel prior to checking in.

Recommendation for a one night stay. The location was perfect for us. Right before LA. So we could start early and made it through LA with no major traffic. One elevator is not enough for this hotel size though. And the breakfast was ok but could be improved. Beside that the room was clean, the location quiet and the staff nice. I just missed some free snacks and drinks at Christmas eve for the guests.

You physically cannot close the blinds that actually block light...???? and there are huge street lamps everywhere.Plus the doors are incredibly loud when latching closed.

I only stayed for one night, so I cant comment on the service, but this hotel is beautiful inside, including the rooms and decor overall. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Water pressure in the shower excellent, and the heating and AC worked great with no excessive noise. I mostly chose this hotel because of location, and it was the cheapest option, but it does not feel like an inexpensive hotel at all. It feels luxurious. Only downer was the breakfast, which was very limited, and not inspiring at all. They could do better, but hey, its free. Two TVs in the room was strange, and the single remote kept confusing the two and it was nuts. I would turn one TV off, and it would turn the other TV on, and sometimes it would have 2 different channels on at the same time. Frustrating.

Rooms are spacious. Gym is also well equipped. Every stay is entitled to a simple American style breakfast. There is a small pool with a jacuzzi. Lots of parking lots available for $10 per night. Very near to Camarillo Premium Outlets and airport.

Hotel is good, nice and clean. Friendly staff.Be careful because I was charged for parking. I dont know why this hotel charge parking when is not in downtown or in a very busy commercial zone. Actually is next to a freeway and farm. They should let you know in advance.Internet is free, but they offer high speed for extra $$$.It feels like you can take a shower but you have to pay for hot water or this is the TV but the remote is extra $$$Come on guys... It is 2023.

Newly renovated but lacking. Room walls are paper thin you can hear doors slamming and shaking the entire room. Unless of you are on the 3rd floor you can hear upstairs guests walking and closing and opening doors. $10 per day for parking?

Hotel is very nice, rooms are modern and clean. The service was not up to Marriott standards. Breakfast was the worse I’m come across even during COVID times. I’ve mentioned to the front desk attendant how there were hardly any breakfast items at 8:00 AM on. Wednesday, she did not appear to care and simply said sorry.

Overall really nice room, bed comfortable & clean, workmanship for a NEW hotel... looks like it was done in a hurry. Free breakfast... 3 stars (there was no bacon or sausage). The most unusual thing was when you walk into the room it senses you & turns on some of the lighting, TV, air...kinda weird! Then at night when you are trying to go to sleep with the TV on or if you say something, a light comes on, on the ceiling as you speak!! Is someone or something listening? recording? When I called the front desk... they did not know & said maybe the carbon monoxide or smoke detector? NO. Then, when I mentioned sensors... Oh maybe thats it they said. Just an uncomfortable thing of the times.

The genuine friendliness of the entire staff is the first thing I noticed … I’ve stayed at 100’s of hotels in dozens of countries. The entire property from reception to laundry to the massive rooms that still have the brand new smell. Located less than 30 seconds off the 101, plenty of parking and then some. Stayed here 3 days with my coworker and autistic patient on his vacation and they were very accommodating to people with special needs including having handicap rooms available. Location was clean and has complimentary coffee in the front and a restaurant and gas station all in the same section (very convenient). I did express a problem with front desk about our rooms not receiving house keeping in the morning (a bit upsetting). The gentleman in the front did apologize about the situation and made an effort to correct the problem but was late by the time we got back to our room. Rooms were spacious and clean when we first arrived. Would definitely visit again.

Stop trying to make everything smart!We are four in the room and they have activated sensor lights in the bathroom, so every time someone goes in the bathroom at night, they wake up everyone with the light on.Nobody needs a smart sensor, just an on/off switch has done the job for 100 years now.

I checked in for a 2 night stay. The service at the front desk was great! Thais and Teresa were friendly and really efficient! I reserved one of the King Suite rooms. It was completely clean and had a pleasant lemon scent as if it was just disinfected. I loved the bathroom. There was a vanity with mirror area in addition to the typical sink and mirror area. The shower was spacious and clean. All the linens and bedding were bright white and clean.The king suite room is really spacious. There is a bed area with TV and dresser, a sofa area with a second TV, as well as a nice desk area. The curtains have a pull down black out shade.I do construction-type work for a living, so its really nice to check in to a place that treats you well regardless of what you look like after a long day.This was my first time at a Fairfield brand hotel and I was very impressed! The Service from the Desk Agent Ryan was outstanding. She helped with everything. The room was excellent and very comfortable. You really couldnt ask for more when your away from home. I was looking for a hotel this day and the Camarillo area. I am coming out here more often for work and Ive stayed at a few other places already and so far this is my favorite place.I think its property is a relatively new but it is in the middle of nowhere in the sense that everything is a couple of freeway exits away.The room that I was in was really nice. Ive stayed at other Fairfields Inns before and this was the nicest one by far. I believe I was upgraded to a nicer room too so this may not have been the standard set up. What I really liked is the water pressure from the showers. That was amazing and I cant emphasize that enough. The shower themselves were a tad narrow too but the water pressure is something I cant forget. The beds were really great as well and that was a great feature.There is breakfast downstairs in the lobby area. I never actually made it down there since I had leftovers from earlier. I had a fridge and a tiny microwave in my room and was able to store and also heat up my food after.I believe theres plenty of parking in the back of the hotel. The front tends to have a few limited spots and also with a bar and other businesses that share the lot it may be hard to get a spot out in front.

I’m currently here for business for an extended stay and when asked to get change to operate laundry facilities the front desk is unable to accommodate breaking a $20 bill to get the coins to operate the equipment.The washer and dryer require $5 in change, per machine. $10 in quarters per laundry.I initially asked to have $10 in change put on my card and then was told it could not be provided. I was advised to walk to the gas station and to take cash out which I understood. After returning back to the desk not 10 minutes later, with cash in hand, the individual i was speaking with is no longer at the desk and the other is unable to break the $20 bill so I can get $10 in quarters to do my laundry.If you have laundry machines that require change to be used you should have cash on hand for this exact reason. Poor business and lack of organization clearly for your facility.I don’t recommend staying here for this reason and for the fact that none of the cleaning staff speak or understand english at all. I requested a few items and they could not understand a single word that I said. How do you have a job if you are not capable of communicating with the patrons?Is this a joke? Or is this just how California operates?

As you walk in the hotel has some shine. After you arrive to your room. Its okay. Looks nice, how ever for the price your better off next door. (Not Quality Inn) I did expect a little more from Fairfield. You cant connect to the TV, they do offer apps, but do you really want to put your credentials to access your subscriptions? And apps are limited. Shower heads are outdated. Have notice some little damages in my room like loose door hanoverpriced. Also mini fridge is on a 2 hr timer, Terrible.Staff is very friendly. They do offer coffee 24hrs, breakfast in the morning starting at 6:30am.Again for me its okay. What a great hotel. The rooms are spacious, and comfy. Theyve thought of everything to make their guests comfortable, from the big shower, to the just right in firmness king bed, to the makeup area, to the coffee bar complete with micro n fridge, to the desk/work area, and even a plush armchair to watch TV. Ive stayed there a few times, the rooms were ok and comfortable enough and its convenient off the 101. There was an issue with the first room assigned, no issues moving me and upgraded my room. Staff was good, but the breakfast is pretty subpar and has gotten progressively worse. I dont plan to stay there again.

Being charged for parking for an out of the way hotel is weird. I can understand if this hotel was located next to a busy shopping center or tourist attraction. It is not. It’s next to a run down sports bar, a freeway and farm fields. The parking lot is no where near being full. And it’s mid week.

We had to change rooms because our first room had a terrible mold smell (room 105). Thought something was wrong when we checked in at night and the shower was still wet. The room had barely been cleaned, many gross things were seen such as there was a gross sticky brown smudge mark on the light switch. The motion detector light switch in the bathroom would come on at random times and not turn off. We were allowed to switch room and although the new room did not smell of mold, it did have an obnoxious odor (probably a cleaning chemical...what was it covering up?) There were also many gross things not cleaned up. The hotel probably just needs to hire a better cleaning person.

Water pressure in our room was very low. Fridge in our room served as a freezer and not a fridge, all of our fruit was frozen overnight. The selection of items for breakfast was very limited, 1st day no fruit at 8 am. No scrambled eggs, just hard boiled eggs. 2nd day the same. 3rd and final day, few apples, scrambled eggs and nasty sausage patties. So far this gets zero stars. I gave it two stars because of the nice staff.

Great property conveniently located off US-101. Stayed here for a night after hanging out at The Jolly Oyster all day. The check-in process was a breeze and the room was clean, comfortable and peaceful. The hotel also provided bottled water, bottled orange juice and bagged fruit and snacks for breakfast. There wasnt coffee in the lobby, but the coffee in the room did the trick. Added Bonus: We had our bicycles with us and the front desk staff let us keep the bikes in their storage room overnight for safe keeping. COVID-19 Info: Everyone wore face coverings, practiced social distancing and there were hand sanitizing stations near the elevators.

Don’t stay. They don’t care. I m traveling for a family funeral, and their agent Dani made a reservation for the wrong day. I booked this location because it was close to family.When I tried to re-book they were all full and refused to help; to make matter worst they have charged me three times In error. From start to finish Marriott messed up my reservation and upended my family time and tied up my funds, that I need to travel. What should have been a simple fix has now turned into an issue. The front office manager obviously doesn’t care, and has refuses to call me back after multiple calls, and is “really busy.” Thank you Marriott for wasting my family time. Do better!

Frequent traveler, normally stay at Hilton properties but company booked me at Marriott recently. I checked in today before noon and was informed that check in time is 3pm. They said I can check in but I had to pay an additional 1/2 day rate for the privilege. I am a Marriott rewards member but that doesn’t seem to matter. Hilton never charges me to check in early - ever! Guess it’s time to return to Hilton! After all the Covid shutdowns this is how returning customers are treated!A few hours after I posted the above comment I received a phone call from the manager of the property who apologised for the additional early check in charges and removed them from my bill. He offered a free stay in the future at this property for any inconvenience to me! I applaud them for doing the right thing especially while I was still here. Thank you!

Enjoyed our stay! It is surrounded by strawberry fields, but it is close to the freeway & about 15 minutes from shopping centers, restaurants, stores, etc. It is quiet & very clean. The room did not smell of cigarettes as other rooms usually do. The balcony was nice for sitting outside and enjoying a peaceful evening.

Would have given five stars. Got two rooms. Was given key to already occupied room. Door was open to my room. Not a big deal. Prolly staff prepping it. But, it does make one pause. Should I enter. Minor housekeeping fail in my room. On the plus side. Well designed property. Very quiet. Bathroom had two vanities. One sinked/ one not. There is a parking fee. Lot is not conducive to large vehicle. Use the street. Arco is very basic. No food within walking distance. Sports bar/grill next door looks to be closed.

This is my home away from home and I love it. The staff is incredible and extremly personable salt of the earth types. My service dog who is Named Lou Bogwynn Shree Ragneesh, is treated like the princess she is and everyone at the hotel gives her the utmost respect. This place was recently renovated and its an entirely brand new hotel experience. This place is a gem and once this pandemic is over, im sure folks with flock to this place once a friend or colleague tells them about it or they read my superb review. As a reference point, I have stayed at over 300 hotels in my life before the age of 23. I filled 5 showboxes full of different rooms keys untilMy wife made me throw them out. My major in college was Tourism and Hotel Management from Sam Diego State University, so one could say im sort of an expert at seeing the ins and outs of a hotel such as this. I was even the project manager for the construction of a 30 room all suite hotel in SLO about an hour 30 min north of here.

Not recommended, especially not for Marriott Elite MembersThis a a Marriott property in name only. Customer service is not a priority. Staff is minimal and unable to help with requests or when issues arise. Management is absent and unresponsive. Room furnishings are run down and dirty. Linens are worn and yellowed. For all appearances, the management company is looking to offload this property. Our room rate was changed at checkout. We never heard from the hotel and had to dispute the overcharge with our bank.

They charged my card 30$ for the fees and the parking which clearly shows on my card that they did, but refuses to give me the parking ticket because its not showing on the computer. I called customer service ten times, but they either cut me off and hang up. They basically robbed me of my 10$.

My family and I were in town visiting family and were bargain shopping for hotels. This hotel was in the mix with a few others but we chose this one based on reviews on another website. Big mistake. Trip Advisor seems to have similar reviews to what I experienced.My first qualm with this hotel was the fact that they charged $10 a night for parking. Why? Theres no gated security and its not in a big city. Just a money grab from what I can tell.Second, was the dirty bathroom. Ive included pictures of someones hair in the tub when we first got in the room. And for some reason, the water in the tub was brown. Gross on both accounts.Third, the walls are paper thin here. We were constantly awakened by the footsteps of the room above us since we were on the first floor. This happened on multiple nights where it sounds like someone was stomping on the floor. While in fact it was just normal walking that was occurring since it was different guests that occupied that room during our stay. We also could here conversations and television from the other rooms us. They also seem to not care if large groups are going down the hallways making lots of noise after midnight. We have a baby that kept waking up because people were yelling at each other and slamming room doors. All this occurring near the front desk and they did nothing.Fourth, the front desk was rude. My wife simply asked if we could have an extra pillow and this was apparently asking for waaaay to much.... For a hotel! Front desk told my wife to come back the next morning for a pillow. Doesnt that defeat the purpose of the pillow? Kind of need it to sleep during the night.Lastly, and maybe most egregious of all, the room itself was not properly cleaned. On the last night of our stay, I found two NyQuil pills on the floor by the night stand that were definitely not ours. Like I said, I have a baby and Im just glad that she didnt find them and eat them since babies put everything into their mouths.I cant say it enough that this is a hotel that I will never stay at again and would recommend that you dont either.

We put our daughter up here. She said the people above her stomped on the floors all night long and she could hear people talking in the room next to her. They also charged $10 a night for parking. Are you kidding me??? This is Camarillo, not the big city.

Brand New hotel, opened @ the end of May 2020. Replaced a really old hotel, but you cant even tell. Rooms are spacious and upscale. Much nicer than other 2 star hotels.

So where do i start1 had to wait as no one on reception2 room changed from what booked - to please them!!3 wifi - NONE EXISTENT4 see pictures of damages in the room5 Hampton Inn coffee pod, they wish and it was sticky, urrrggghhh6 two bed suite, 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel REALLY, WENT AND ASKED AT RECEPTION, WAS GIVEN 1 BATH TOWEL That was it!!!!!7 its still the night before but have been told due to renovations the breakfast will be coffee and cakes thats it.NOT WHAT IVE PAID FOR!!Terrible TerribleStay here at your peril
