Worst experience ever. I’ve replaced one time the lens. Didn’t work. Lost $400,00 there. And my need is just for eye relaxation.Cannot use that glasses without interfering my quality of life. Better without than with them.Terrible!

Havent has a problem for years, but now their warranty repairs take 10 days because they renovated, removed the in store lab and changed the name from Eyeglass World to Americas Best (same company). Dropped off on March 2nd for a (10 day) warranty repair. Then the store went under renovations. Today went in and found out they were ordered wrong and never got processed to offsite lab (10 more days from today). So now it will have taken about a month to get my daughters glasses repaired/replaced under warranty.

Was there for an eye exam last week, everything was great until a couple days ago and the new contacts that were pushed on me are not sitting well with my eyes. I called and explained, I was told by the manger Zeke that all I had to do was clean them, didn’t help. Told him they didn’t fit and that one eye was blurry. Had to call the vista store to get actual help and it straightened out.

The overall experience was very good. However, my direct interactions with employees, Lucia and Sean are where these 5 stars are from.I do have some concerns with the lens quality, but hopefully that’ll work itself out and not become an issue where I have to go back and buy different lenses.

Eye Glass World was recommended to me by a friend who recently got glasses and contacts there. I made an appointment same day, went in for eye exams for both glasses and contacts and placed an order for two pairs of glasses that same day after receiving my prescription. It took exactly one week to receive my new glasses and I absolutely love them!!

I had an eye exam and picked out a couple of frames for my new prescription. The staff here was friendly and helpful and I had a great experience with Zeke. I had my new glasses within one business day and when I went back to pick them up, Zeke made some minor adjustments to the frames, which helped them fit perfectly.

I had the most amazing customer service experience at the oceanside location last week! my daughter yeeted her eyeglasses into the ocean thursday afternoon- a day before we were supposed to see the one and only ms taylor swift in LA - we were visiting from out of state and miguel went above and beyond to help us get an apptmnt and talked to the lab to explain our situation. caila also helped us get the frames and lenses picked out and made up so my daughter did not have to miss one second of her moms favorite singer -i wished we lived closer so we could get all our eyeglasses here!

I had a great 1st visit with Dr. Vuong at Regency Eye Care inside Eyeglass World. She was professional, knowledgeable, thorough and had a great bedside manner. I was then transferred to Lorena who was super friendly and just as professional and knowledgeable as the doctor. Lorena helped me with cost and picking out my glasses which were reasonably priced. I did not feel forced to up grade or make a purchase right away. Both ladies including the gentleman (Nathan) and the other lady sorry I forgot your name that took care of myinsurance and started my eye exam all had wonderful customer service. The place was clean and safe. The whole staff took their time with me even if it was lunch time. I appreciate you all not rushing me out the door or passing me onto someone else, because picking out new glasses, is no easy task. Everyone’s customer service was very much appreciated. Thank you all so much. I can’t wait to pick up my new glasses in a couple of days 🤓

[This is the text of an email I sent to the district manager back in Dec 2021.]Dear Monica,I wanted to write to you and share about the excellent experiences my family has enjoyed at the Oceanside branch of Eyeglass World this year. All of our family members have been serviced by the wonderful Liz S. for many years (5+) and we actually followed her from the Vista branch to Oceanside when she transferred locations. She is always friendly and positive when addressing our individual needs, and personally helped me put in a tricky order for two pairs of glasses shortly before I left for an international trip earlier this year. My father especially has a difficult time when he needs to update his prescription, and Liz took on his case with the patience and understanding that everyone wishes their parents could receive in healthcare. Although she was promoted to Dr. Nguyens assistant after her transfer, Liz personally took the time to walk my father through his first visit from the appointment to picking out the correct wide frames and explaining all the different lens features. My dad can be nervous when it comes to these kinds of errands, and Liz often referred to her own experiences sitting on the other side of the table when answering his long list of questions. Her combination of empathy and expertise make her an especially capable representative that Eyeglass World should be proud to employ, and I hope she continues helping other families for a long time.I also want to recognize the entire team at the Oceanside location for their dedication to customer service and getting things resolved right, no matter the complexities involved. Liz and Edgar had to put their heads together to help identify an unusual issue that my Dad was experiencing with his initial set of eyeglasses. Liz must have spent over 60 minutes sitting with us, making adjustments, and patiently hearing my Dad describe what was going on with his vision. She never made us feel rushed or too picky, and emphasized the importance of my Dad getting glasses that worked properly for him. Eventually we realized that the glasses needed to be remade and had to be picked up a few weeks later. I called a couple of times in the weeks that passed, and Odessa always picked up the phone with her friendly and helpful attitude. She took down my number to personally follow up a few days later, which I really appreciated.During our latest visit last week to reevaluate the new lenses, we were finally able to nail down the root of the problem with teamwork from Spencer, Adriana, and Alina. We were so lucky that Spencer was at the store that day. Her sharp eyes and persistence in problem-solving allowed us to finally determine that the unusual thickness of my Dads lenses, paired with the angle of installation in the frame, was affecting his vision. Again, we were helped for over 60 minutes with the utmost understanding and patience, and Spencer kept on making adjustments until my Dad was completely satisfied. She is really the rockstar you want in your corner when faced with a headache. Adriana and Alina helped input the necessary changes in the computer system to have the glasses remade properly, and we were glad to pay the extra add-on for thinner lenses. Not once were we rushed or dismissed in our concerns, and Alina helped explain the remainder of the process as we concluded our visit. As a daughter, its a huge relief that I can trust my parents eye needs will be met by such capable professionals.From Dr. Nguyens excellent care in the initial eye exam to the friendly, expert attention of the representatives, the fantastic customer service of the Oceanside team really cannot be understated. Chop shop that cares more about the bottom line than patients. Would not recommend this location. Dr Nguyen placed me in new contacts that was more inline with the company that pays him than what works for me. Also made an appointment for my son, and the office wanted to charge me twice for the same exam. I also purchased lenses from here. They were delivered late and the quality was poor even for the supposed low price. Would not recommend

Update: Dont go here they use and sell your personal information even though theyre under the law not to. When I question corp and local management they refuse to answer me. If you like signing away your information then be my guest and go here.The Dr seemed very rushed and annoyed from start. He seemed more annoyed due to the fact that I chose differently then machine did. Acted like I was lying and annoyed, made me due it over. Then claim that eye machine is better.

They were great with me! Everyone was so nice. I was able to get my glasses (frames and lenses) and sunglasse (just lenses) just about 170$ including 1 year warranty for my regular glasses 😁. I think thats a pretty good deal myself. Id rather go there than to the other place I was going to go to, more expensive. I was able to get both my glasses ordered them, and received two days later!!! Good experience!! If I have any issues I can always go back with them. I had no problem. My glasses are better now thank you! What a difference! 😁

I had a great experience at Eyeglass World. I had both my exam with the optometrist and a consultation with the optician here and both were speedy, efficient, and reasonably priced. The optometrist clerk was very friendly and helpful and took care of me without much wait. After I was done with the exam, they sent me to the optician with my prescription and the optician asked me what I wanted to do...buy new frames? use my current ones with new lenses? They catered to what I wanted and I did not have to endure hard sales, no nonsense, and no pressure to buy premium expensive new frames/lenses like you get at a specialty eye practice. They have a lab onsite so they had my glasses ready the next day. I am very happy with my experience here. All staff members wore masks and they made sure customers wore masks as well.

I came here for a routine eye exam, Dr. Was very thorough and glass frame selection is great and affordable. Service was good, I was seen right away and someone walked me through my lens options shortly after my appointment. Received my glasses a few days later. I was so pleased with my experience that I brought my grandmother a few months later for her routine eye exam, and the Dr. Again was very thorough, so thorough in fact that he noticed something unusual and referred us to a specialist where my grandmother was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had to get emergency surgery. In other words, they saved her life. I am eternally greatful and absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone.

When I needed an emergency pair of glasses for my four year old son, they went out of there way to make sure we got them, even though his prescription usually can not be made the same day. Oceanside Office: Overall clean facility and courteous service but sadly thats where my satisfaction starts tumbling. I had a full eye exam then ordered 2 sets of glasses, one clear and one sunglasses. A week later I went to pick them up the Rep. discovered the sunglasses scratched before I even tried them on so she immediately made up an order to remake them. Why had the lenses not been examined when received from outside lab? When I tried them on to see how they looked I informed them that my vision was unacceptably blurred so another rep. came to remark those glasses and notations were made to the order. I tried on the new clear glasses and pointed out a blurry vision with these glasses also so I was encouraged to try them for a few days to allow my eyes to adjust. So I did as they asked. I never received a call informing me that the remade glasses were ready so several weeks later I stopped in to pick up the sunglasses. Again I reported the sunglasses still blurry as were the clear. After much consultation among staff it was realized that the old prescription from a completely different doctor at a different branch location for my glass order 2 years ago had been used for these new sunglasses at their location. Really! No apology, they just ordered new sunglasses again! When I questioned the blur with my new clear glasses explaining that I had to pull out n use my old glasses to read small print in the store so when I changed back to new ones upon entering the Eyeglass Store my vision was again blurred. The gentleman from the eye lab asked me to give the new glasses a serious try n I agreed. No concers nor followup calls were ever made. Another week later I picked up n wore both pair of new glasses supposedly with correct prescription. Intererestng thought.. Why was the eye doctor never consulted about the accuracy of my prescription? I found them impossible to adjust to so walked into store this week, asked for and received a full refund for both pairs of useless glasses and walked out a dissatisfied customer. Im going to take their supposedly correct prescription to a new eye establishment and compare to new doctors findings. Ill let you know how that goes.

Walked in with broken frames and ten minutes later walked out with new frames. Tianna was great and helped me out with my needs and i couldnt be happier. She was incredibly friendly and answered all my questions. Customer service like this is often over looked and i greatly appreciate it. For Tiannas wonderful customer service i would rate my visit a 10/10 and will definitely come back here again for my glasses needs.

I have had the best experience here, and since I needed several pairs of glasses, plus a change following surgery, I was lucky to have their customer service numerous times! I think this is such a well managed store, with a responsive and dedicated team. Their manager and staff are remarkably conscientious and determined to meet the customers needs, and I honestly cant thank them enough for their efforts and consideration. I cant imagine going elsewhere for glasses.

Would not recommend. Daniel the manager has horrible customer service.. We purchased 2 pairs of glasses for my husband which by the way this place is not cheap dont be fooled by the 2 for deal. The girl who was helping us didnt apply the discount they offered I had to ask to look at everything line for line that they were charging and had to show her where she didnt apply the discount. If I hadnt have dont this we would have been paying about $200 more than we did. The girl told us 1 pair should be done in a couple of days the other a little longer because they did not have the frames there. After a week of waiting I called to find out what was going on and was told there was 1 pair ready. I asked why they did not call to tell is and was told the system was not set up to notify when each pair was done. It would notify us when both were done. Which is completely ridiculous when there are Humans working there that could easily call and notify us. I then asked about a receipt for my insurance to submit and was told my husband had to go inside to get the receipt I could not get it. Which fine but when I told them the insurance was under my name and I paid for it with card and said I Mean This Is My Freaking Husband.. DANIEL the office manager hung up on me. My husband called and the same Daniel so oh yeah we just needed a verbal from you she can pick it up... Why didnt Daniel say Im sorry we cant give it to you but he can call and just get an okay from him and there settled.. nope I called to complain apparently Daniel is the Manager there. When I asked his name and asked if he was the one who hung up on me he said yes because anytime someone start to cuss on the phone... umm I didnt know freaking was a cuss word.. he wouldnt give me the District Managers number who apparently is his boss.. Horrible experience from beginning to end.

Odessa was really helpful, and made sure I had everything I needed for a quick turn-around and the best product/deal. 🙏 One quick tip.... buy direct from the manufacturer especially if you already have your prescription and arent in a huge rush. For example, my Prive Revauxs were 2 for $129 and an extra $120 for Polycarbonate.... direct from the manufacturer was 2 for $189, Polycarbonate included. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Dr. Nguyen did the exam. He didnt have stigmatism contact for one eye to try and said they had to order some more. He gave me another set to try which didnt work. When I didnt hear anything for about 3 weeks, I drove by to see if the other stigmatism contact had come in... It had, yet no one called me to let me know. I tried it and it was blurry and moving around in my eye. I called today and scheduled follow up appt. for this afternoon. I then received a voicemail from Ezekiel telling me the appt was cancelled and that the doctor shared he had already given me the best prescription possible. I called back, but Ezekiel was unavailable and never called me back. This doctor never even checked the new stigmatism contact in my eye to make sure it was correct or fit properly. This is unethical and unprofessional. I will be filing a complaint and disputing the charge for this doctor prescription.

This place is by far the one store you want to avoid. Do not get your eyes examined by the, I am going to be very carefully how I describe the one QUACK that gave me not one but TWO INCORRECT PRESCRIPTIONS FOR MY GLASSES, Doctor. I wonder if he was licensed? They offer the choice of Very poor quality lens,or really poor plastic lens and the frames are equally as inferior. At a wonderful bargain price. The degree of service like: being told the truth, given a fair and honest price, and a actual guarantee that the glasses were going to CHANGE MY VISION for the better, was never there. Im sorry but I am giving you the HONEST TRUTH of my nightmare encounter there. Maybe wearing a fishbowl over your head works for you, and I see from your reviews, it does. Spend the $200 dollars and get a real Optometrists exam and fitting. Get precision ground lens and come back and tell me your glasses you OVERPAID FOR are this great bargain you are claiming. No youre going to want your money back, just like I did. I made Eyeglass World pay for a third exam, from a real Optometrists office and 9 pair of glasses and they never even got any of the 9 pair of glasses made correctly. Now thats just sad. They removed my first reviews. Figured they would continue to deceive the customers of the real truth. Beware of the BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS. EYEGLASS WORLD does it to every customer. They did it to me, 3 TIMES AND EVEN AFTER WE HAD AGREED TO new glasses with frames I wanted. I got these LUCKY BOY frames that were as cheap as the plastic jug they were recycled from. Yes I got shafted by this company and so have a lot of others. But you keep coming back and getting your FISHBOWLS. This place is bad news.

Exam went well, I left with a pair of contacts for a reasonable price along with an updated prescription. I brought my own frames from another site and had eyeglass world make and instal the lenses. Overall it was a good deal, but they told me there was an $80 rebate. There isn’t. The “rebate” in question is a credit towards future purchases of contacts. I hardly wear contacts and my eyes need a new exam ever year, so the amount of contacts I purchased was how many I needed. When I heard the term rebate I thought, “ a bunch of mundane steps to go through in order to receive money back that I had spent”. It’s a word dispute and that’s why my review isn’t less stars. Also they said rebate and then I had to bug them by calling about it on more than one occasion, without receiving it just to find out that I wouldn’t be rebated. My advice for Eyeglass world? Steer clear of false advertising. I need 80$ more than I need to pledge to you that I’ll come back with my business.

I had an excellent experience at Eyeglass World. I was asked some questions to determine my risk of being COVID-19 positive, my temperature was taken, then I was given some paperwork to fill out. I did arrive a few minutes late, but thankfully I was still able to be seen. The optometrists assistant was very nice. She conducted two tests before seeing the doctor. Dr. Vuong is awesome. Her bedside manner is great. She listened to my concerns and laughed at my jokes. Plus shes beautiful, BONUS!After my eye exam Shari helped me pick two pairs of glasses. She totally helped me jump out of my comfort zone. Shari is a blast. If you dont like to have fun or be a decent person, or enjoy an excellent retail experience, dont mess with Shari. She takes her job seriously and will go out of her way to make sure you get exactly what you need at a very fair price. Plus, you might even get same day service. I highly recommend this place. Plus Dr. V and Shari make it a great experience.EXTRA BONUS: If you are afraid of COVID and cleanliness, this place is constantly wiped down. They wont let you in if youre a COVID risk.

This turned out to be a much quicker, cheaper and easier trip than I expected. I came in to replace a missing screw from my sunglasses, and was immediately greeted and assisted. I was expecting to pay 5 bucks and wait 10 minutes - instead, I paid nothing and waited 2 minutes. I was even given a microfiber cleaning towel, would recommend to anyone looking to save money and time without foregoing quality.

Do not waste your time. They will tell you to come in and they can fix your glasses. Then the snobby tech will refuse. I then tried to just buy another pair but of course, even though their inventory in the computer says they have two more pairs they can’t actually find them anywhere in the store. So in order to get a new pair I would also have to buy new lenses too! I was not offered the option of ordering in another pair of the exact same frames I have. The best advice I got was go to ANOTHER store that they do not own to get them repaired. I will NOT be back. Absolutely ridiculous! I guess I will just super glue them and find another place to bring my business to !

This place is awesome!!! Wide selection of frames and lenses. Even their designer frames are very reasonable. The 2 for one deal allowed me to get an additional pair of sunglasses!!! I called before going in to get some information. I spoke with Jill and she was so helpful! When I arrived I was greeted by Hermila who would help me with my glasses. As we were speaking, Jill came over and asked me if I was Magi and I said yes... she introduced herself and assured me I was in good hands with Hermila. Hermila was so sweet and helpful. She helped me pick out awesome glasses! I never felt rushed through the whole process. I love this place and I will go back when I need glasses again. I recommend Eyeglass World very highly!!!

Eye exam was great but the people there that help with the choosing of glasses were no help I ended up with glasses that don’t let me focusI would recommend having an eye exam but go somewhere else for your glasses unless you do not need special help in choosing the right frames for your face

Have been coming here for a couple years now. Otherwise have had a pleasant experience, except today. Took off work mid-day to bring my daughter. I arrived 4 minutes late and was told I had to reschedule. Dont waste your time if youre a working parent. Staff worker was incredibly rude and unreasonable.

I have had vison issues my whole life. Its quite difficult to function with out corrective lens -7 astigmatism with myopia on right eye 😢Unfortunately my lens were broke. The eueglass world store in vista helped me so much. They were sincere and kind. They realized i an unable to function on the simplest of levels with out corrective wear. My lens are expensive and hard to cut and it usually takes almost 2 weeks ANYWHERE to get replaced. These people had them ordered and they Personally delivered them to my frint door. Today that is a 5 day turn around completly. On my eye care order. With the best persinal service i have ever received. I wiuld recommend EYEGLASS WORLD TO EVERYBODY. Had a very hectic experience, they had bad communication, too many problems. Paid over 400 to get two pair of glasses that took forever to get because they messed up my prescription and it took two visits for them to realize. They also messed up my contact lenses trials. Had to cancel.

My eye glasses broke. I went to LensCrafters where I normally go...they didnt acknowledge me when I walked into the store and werent friendly when I approached a staff member. I left and tried Eyeglass world. They acknowledged me immediately and fixed my glasses within two minutes, free of charge. Ive found my new place for any future eye glass needs!

I lost my glasses in the Pacific ocean at about 4:30 pm. I was told by eyeglass world if I got an eye exam and the script to them by 5:30pm they could hopefully get me a pair of glasses the same day, since I had to go back to Colorado the next day...and they did, despite me even getting there after 530. Thank you to Sherry and Tiarra for helping me get my glasses so I can drive my family back home. PS- Dont wear your glasses in the ocean :)

Do NOT get an eye exam here. The optometrist has a God like complex and insists the staff and patients refer to him as doctor despite the fact that he is in no way an eye doctor. He is not an ophthalmologist, did not go to medical school and does not know anything outside of the very basics of an eye exam. However, he pretends to be an expert in all fields and all medication despite zero training or ability to prescribe outside of basic contacts and glasses. Overall an egotistical know it all who will prey on peoples lack of knowledge of the field or medicine. Better off going to Costco or Walmart because getting care under someone who does not know their limits can be very dangerous.

When I called Eyeglass World to book an eye checkup, the staff said the checkup was covered by my vision insurance. Then when I got there they claimed they couldnt confirm my benefits with Blue Cross PPO, Bluecare, When I showed them my card and called Blue Crosss they then claimed only certain locations took Blue Cross. The staff tried to force me to pay up front and then submit to insurance for myself. I refused and left. This is a deceptive bait and switch tactic. I will avoid this company in the future.

Terrible service since December I had my eye exam, its March and its the date they dont give me my prescription. I have called thousands of times and they only tell me that they are behind with the request for contacts. I have never had such a bad experience. Be careful, they practically made me lose my money and now I dont know what to do because I am going to be 4 months old and they havent resolved me. nothing, I dont know where to call and complain because they only know how to tell me that they are behind. With the order and thats all they practically scammed me
