This place is extremely unprofessional.Was told Id get an email or phone when my glasses come in. Waited month called in myself and they Forgot to notify me. They had been waiting in the office. When i got them. I noticed the next day the right lens was bent. Was only noticeable at night. Came in dropped them off and made sure Id get notified when they were done because they are needed for work. Same thing happened like last time. This time I said bull, the Receptionist laughted and said ok. Never coming back, 500 bucks for this experience smh

The doctor, assistant, and eye glasses person were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Reasonable wait time and prices. Good selection of frames. Great and up to date technology. Good office ambiance in general with a friendly staff. Overall a great experience that was great for me— I have two small children and was in and out in about an hour so I could go back home to them quickly.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in. They helped me with and question since I was going through the VA. The lady who seen me before was very friendly and explained everything she was doing and why. I was seen within 5 minutes of getting into the room, the doctor was great. He explained everything with great detail anyone could understand, very patient, and left me wanting to make this my permanent optometrist. Couldnt recommend this place more 10/10.

My husband had his appointment after a long time since his last eye appointment in the Bay Area, we hadn’t found an optometrist since we moved during Covid. We had a telehealth appointment, where a doctor virtually does the vision test. Our appointment was at 10:20, we arrived at 10:12am, he got pulled to the back 10 minutes later, took about 20 minutes to get his test done, everything went well with that portion. It’s 11:52am and we still haven’t been helped to buy a pair of glasses. I just asked for the prescription and walked out. It’s just too long of a wait… they had people walking in for “pick ups” that took way too long and they had too many questions, as a new patient I don’t think that’s fair, since we’re also looking to get helped in a timely and fair manner. Anyways just a suggestion on the way they handle the list. Were going to Walmart for new frames, since it took too long here to even get helped for a new frame. I did schedule 3 other appointments for the future for myself and 2 sons at their Rocklin location and I’m hoping we have a better experience there. I am giving this place 3 stars, because the receptionist was amazing nice and really helped me when deciding on my future appointments because my sons are 4 and 8. Which brings me to another point, certain doctors only see patients 5 and older at this Greenback location, and one of my children is 4, so that’s why we have to go to the Rocklin location. Overall I would be willing to come back if they reconsidered on the their care after the eye exams.

Unless you confirm youre meeting with a doctor IN PERSON, *before* your appt, dont waste your time! Its a VIRTUAL eye exam, more uncomfortable than an in-person exam, especially for those who have light sensitivity! When I scheduled my appt, I wasnt informed that their only in-house doctor was booked out for MONTHS and this would be a virtual visit! That would have been nice to know, clearly. But, the ladies kept telling me the results were still reliable and everyone loves the virtual exams. When I had my exam, the doctor on the screen was telling me better things about my vision than Ive heard from past Optometrists, so that was another red flag. Then, as I was leaving, a patient came in saying I bought contacts with the new prescription I got yesterday and they dont work. So now, I cant rely on my new prescription enough for me to risk spending $200 on new glasses just to find out the prescription isnt good. So, now, I have to take more time off work and spend more money to go somewhere else before I get new glasses. Great. Thanks.

Went to a scheduled appointment and was put in a small room to wait for the doctor for an entire hour.Ordered prescription glasses, paid in advance and waited 2.5 weeks for the call to pick them up, which never came, per usual at This location, then called in to check the status and was told the glasses came in wrong and have to wait another two weeks for the correction. Of course they wouldn’t call me and own the mistake and provide me with the status but wait for me to call them.Time to move elsewhere.

Im a Marine Corps veteran and I go wherever the VA sends me for my annual eye exam and I am extremely glad that they sent me to EYEcenter. The office is neat and clean and all the staff that I encountered were pleasant and professional and considered of my time, in less then 5 minutes after I checked in I was led to the back to begin my exam. My eyes were thoroughly examine and Dr. Rappa clearly explained everything and answered all my questions. I hoping, that next year the VA will send me back to EYEcenter.

My experience was awesome! The staff was very helpful and the technology used is very impressive. They have scans for your eyes that help them take a better look @the health of your eyes. They were very helpful with helping me choose the right optical choice for myself (contacts), and even gave me a free 10 day trial of contacts while I wait to receive my order. This is my 3rd or 4th year with VSP insurance and they took care of me everytime I came in for the last 3 years. Would def recommend!

I had a horrible experience with this provider twice. The first time, they got the prescription all wrong and wouldnt stand behind their work. Their customer service is non-existant and they lack follow through with the promises they make. I paid my bill, received my glasses and then more than 4 months later they billed for for an exam they said I didnt pay for. Do not do business here!

I am already responding to the chat I had with staff. She outright refused to bump someone even when she bumped me after waiting 2.5 months then booked me another 2.5 months out. When people have major problems they cant continued to wait. I sought this doctor out and had very high hopes and thought he was the answer to my problem. But I got the big old NO we cant help you. You have to wait another 2.5 months.I have been waiting to find someone to care for me since 2019 and I finally found who I thought would be great and I was refused as I was walking out the door to take my almost 1.5 hours drive to get there. I just dont see what there is to talk about because there are no appointments available for 2.5 months. All she said was Im sorry well what did her sorry get me. She was the one who made the mistake. Perhaps if I someone would have had the decency to call me sooner I could have got in sooner. She didnt care why should I believe the rest of the staff cares.This Doctors office is a mess. I called the beginning of July to make an appointment and got one for Sept. 7th. I live a substantial distance away so I have to leave early. Mind you I am going to drive 1.5 hours for this visit after waiting over 2 months. I received a call as I was leaving my house that the person was sorry and she had booked me wrong and had to cancel my appointment. I rearranged my business schedules (lost money) I had to hire someone to house sit all day as we have animals that cant be left alone. And they DID NOT CARE. All she could say was im sorry. Well what does their im sorry get me? Then to make it even worse, they scheduled me for November another 2 months. She didnt even try top bother to boot someone elses appointment. She said she couldnt do that. Well she had just did it to me. I asked her if the doctor knew about this and she said yes. Horrible thing to do to a person who has a very bad eye problem. And whats worse they didnt care. So all together I would have been waiting for 4 months to see him. I really did not want to see anyone else and that is why I waited to 2 months in the first place. Now they expect me to wait 4 months? I dont think so. Who else do they do this to?Needless to say I canceled my appointment and am going to San Francisco to a specialist down there.I wish I could give 0 stars

PHENOMENAL care. My son has severe keratoconus and needed scleral lenses. Dr. Fuerst took the time to make sure his prescription was correct, even needing to order a second pair at no cost to us. He was extremely caring, and very thorough. We appreciated his thoughtfulness and willingness to make sure everything was spot on.

Very happy employees from front desk to the eye tech and even doctor Randy. Also, woman that helped me with both contacts and new glasses always had an answer. Always had been treated phenomenaly at all levels here. Except today when I was 10 minutes late. I was coming 52 miles away and got jammed up in traffic and I tried to call with no answer to let them know. I stood there at front desk for 9 minutes more then she Amber the Great said your late and must reschedule. I said I could wait till a opening she stated we dont do that and maybe be on time. I just came from so far to be denied. No compassion just a opportunity for a good geture but she denied that opportunity. Everyone else there is phenomenal though thats a fact. Thank you in advance

This is where my mom goes for her Optometry services. They have excellent customer service. The newest technology for eye exams. They have a very user friendly website that allows one to schedule appointments and ask questions. They are very informative and easy to talk to. Their selection of eyeglasses is very extensive from basic to the latest designer frames. A++

My teen daughter has been wearing glasses since 2nd grade and weve visited several optometrist over the years. Our very best experience with an optometrist was at this office! The staff is so kind, patient and happy to help us. But most importantly, both office staff and our doctor were great at explaining all procedures, the specific eye health concerns and ALL of our options. There was absolutely no pressure to go with either option. Everything during the exam that was done was explained to us as to the reasons and benefits of all the procedures and what would be helpful in our case. Previous doctors would only state that her eye sight has gotten worse and she needs new prescription. They didnt bother explaining exactly how much worse, is the rate at which her sight is going worse normal? Are there any other eye health issues to take note off? Is there anything else that can reduce the rate of decreased vision? The doctor at this office gave me detailed answers to my questions and more. We felt valued and cared by this place and I would have come here even if my insurance didnt cover my visit because I value good eyesight and a doctor who cares to helps my daughter regain her vision in the best way possible!

Im new to the area and had to find a new optometrist. I decided on giving this location a try and was more than pleased!! Had such a great first impression from the staff and facility. Best optometrist experience I have ever had. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the doctor was very informative and thorough. I was able to better understand what was altering my vision and how to better communicate what areas may be giving me problems when my prescriptions need to be renewed.

Love Dr. Gittins. Very personable and professional. Always takes all the time needed - never rushes. Rest of the office staff is great! The woman that helped me pick glasses after exam was very knowledgeable and helpful. The only negative with my visit was that the woman that helped me select glasses was wearing a strongly scented perfume that actually gave me a headache during our time together. Your office might consider a fragrance free environment - there are many fragrance allergic customers coming into your offices. Would have rated you 5 stars except for this issue.

The counter staff, the doctors assistant, the doctor, and the medical associate who helped me with my lens prescription and frames sale were all professional, kind, informative, and thorough. I felt no sales pressure and left with a sense of being well taken care of. I was able to order my first pair of eye glasses for a minor prescription that my insurance fully covered because the frames were low enough in price for it, and they look great! Everything was great with EYECenter. The gentleman who helped with all the pre-exams was very kind, professional, and took time to make sure everything was correct and 👀 no good. I had Dr Thanh Tran. She was very professional. Gave good advice and answered my questions well with my contact lenses. This office does a lot more exams than others. I’ve been to multiple eye centers over the years and no one has done as much as this office does. They really make sure they examine everything and check for everything for great eye health. And they explain that well to the customer/patient. I will definitely be returning and recommend this office to others. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because the lady who chases me out for my visit seemed irritated that she had to be there and even more so when I decided not to purchase glasses there. I can’t remember her name but her number on my receipt was Employee 278. The only suggestion I’d have is to have the front employees show more care and customer service and kindness. Other than that, my visit was great. :)

This was my very 1st time visiting this facility and boy was I impressed! The entire staff, from the beautiful receptions sitting at their desk answering calls to the Doctors and their assistants running around taking care of patients. Everyone certainly has a job to do there and they all do it very well with professionalism and friendliness to everyone. Absolutely great place. You feel welcomed from the moment you walk through the doors and are greeted by the friendly front staff. Who quickly learn your name if you are like me, and unfortunately have several eye issues. Dr. Randy is the best, he has never given up on me no matter what I throw at him. And if you just need an exam and glasses their optical staff is great at helping you pick out a pair. Theyre honest about what looks good with your coloring and face shape. Not like my husband who says they all look good. I could go on and on about this place, they are absolutely the best!!!

I have been going to this facility for many years. I have always received great care and professionalism from all the staff I have interacted with. The facility has a great vision therapy program on-site that my daughter has used. They have a great selection of frames to choose from and I love being able to have the option to have a retinal screen with the machine, instead of having to have my eyes dilated. Great place, I would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful reviews attracted us to this place. First experience was good. Now? Horrible. Poor workmanship, excuses, and broken promises. My sons glasses were made incorrectly. The lenses were sticking out over 1/4 from both sides of the frame. The lady helping us saw NOTHING wrong, even after examining them. I had to expicitly point out the problem. I was told, Well some grinders in the lab are better than others, it depends on who you get. What?!?! I insisted they be remade. She asked, You sure you want to do that? Was she kidding? A week later we got a call that the remade glasses were ready. We went, waited, then were told that the call was a glitch. The glasses wouldnt be here until after Christmas (10+ days later). Watching my young son be disappointed for the second time? Horrible. I asked them to expedite the order. They said they would. One week later, still no glasses and many excuses about the busy lab who isnt answering phones. I was told, We can tell them to hurry, but we dont always know whats happening on their end. Then, promises that the glasses should be available on the first business day after Christmas... All I want for Christmas is my sons glasses SO HE CAN SEE and stop wincing with EYE PAIN.

I’ve been going to the Rocklin location for 10 years, last week I took my son to the CH location ( Rocklin is always booked) and I was so impressed at the Doctors thoroughness, I decided to go have my exam then and went back yesterday. Doctor Linda is amazing, this is my first year of wearing trifocals as I went in for my check up, I feel like I have better eyesight then before I still wear progressives but didn’t have to get another pair!! the staff is the same so no high turn over and all staff is thorough and very helpful!!! I was happily greeted once I had approached the receptionist desk and was checked in immediately. The eye associate promptly started the optical testing within minutes of my arrival. I was given several different eye test and then I met with Dr. Linda Roppa upon conclusion of the preliminary testing and I was quite impressed by the Doctors examination skillsand the level of professionalism of each member of the eye center staff and Dr. Linda Roppa had exhibited nothing less then the highest level of proficiency. I had the good fortune of seeing Dr Randall Fuerst at the Citrus Heights location (although I’ve also been to the Folsom location and it was stellar as well). I called because my eye had been feeling scratched and painful for 1/2 a day. They took me in immediately and said my eye is very irritated. Dr Fuerst was so kind and sincerely caring. He took the time to find the best prescription with the least cost to me as well as give me several days worth of drops for pain. He took his time with me even though I was the last appt of the day and they were closing when I left. Furthermore the optician ordered 5 days supply of daily contacts for me to try free of charge to see if I do better with those! She also adjusted my glasses for me before I left. What else could one want? Best service, clean, bright and state of the art facility with knowledgeable staff and Covid protocols to keep us all safe. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The office and the guy that did my lenses was awesome. They have a cool coffee machine. The location I didnt like and front desk staff are lacking, the girl with the bright red hair either didnt know that she was doing or didnt want to help with the contact rebate info. First time patient and both my husband and I were welcomed as long timers. Were greeted by a friendly staff and even better service from Kourtney and Dr. Earhart. My husband and I were offered a retinal screening that we waived but Dr. Earhart gave us complementary deals as first timers. They have gained my families business. Definitely recommend this center for anyone looking for excellent service with the most advanced technologies.

The staff and doctors are friendly and professional. I had an urgent issue that needed checking promptly. They recognized that I needed attention as soon as possible and took care of my needs. I saw Dr. Earhart for this appointment. He was very thorough and explained everything to me. I was very impressed. I normally see Dr. Randy, and he is excellent, as well. I would highly recommend this eye center.

Doctor was very very helpful in determining my needs. All the staff was very nice and helpful. They were very quick to help me find the glasses that I needed. The doctor stated she would call in the prescription she suggested for my eyes and confirmed the Pharmacy location. I later called the pharmacy and they had no prescriptions ready. I had to call them back and they needed the pharmacy location again. Other than this problem, my visit was excellent. One should ask if medication is covered by copay before they order the prescription.

My old Dr. retired so I needed to find a new office. This office is open on Saturdays and right by my house, so I figured Id give them a try. I am so glad that I did. They had room for me, my wife and son all to have appointments right after one another. They are also professional and fun, which I wasnt sure was a possible combination. It hurts me to say, but they are better than my old Dr. and I had been going to him for the past 21 years. Anyone who can make my son sit still and do these eye tests deserves all the praise in the world. My son is 5 and they didnt mind showing him all of the machines before he put his face into them. Dr. Lilley is a great man and I will be making this my new office permanently.

I go to the Citrus Heights location only for the treatment of my severe dry eyes. I have also been going more lately because I have been having pain in my right eye. I have been able to keep the eye doctor updated through email about my eye pain. They have been treating me with nothing but respect and care. Would have given 5 stars, but I requested proof of my checkup, in order to receive benefits through my work wellness program. I confirmed my email address with front office staff and actually waited about 10 minutes after the conclusion of my appointment with Dr. Rappa, to get her signature on the form. Was promised they would email it to me. Still have not received email as of this writing. This is not, in any way, a “slam” against this office. They are terrific overall, will still go back. Guess I’m old school, if you say your going to do something, then you should probably do it. Still, I would recommend this office to others.

I have been going to the EYEcenter for over 20 years and have been very happy with both the doctors and the opticians. I saw Dr. Fred Fuerst for years and loved him. Upon Dr. Freds retirement I switched to Dr. Earhart and find him to be very thorough in his examinations, as well as kind and caring in his interactions with me. I am very picky when it comes to the style/look and also the comfort, theyve always been very patient and not pushy, but also honest when needed if something looks to small/big or doesnt fit right. The optometrist was extremely knowledgeable! She answered every question I had and was extremely kind. I didnt want to do my contact fitting due to copays and I just need new glasses. She stated my options for contacts when I come back and gave me a great recommendation for alternatives due to eye pain I was having so when I go back I know what I should get. My last optometrist center just started to get too big. Nothing wrong with that except it started to feel like a factory. Rushing people in and out, different doctors every time, I never knew who I was going to see and no one remembered me or my records. I had to explain my history everytime to someone new. After putting off my eye exam I finally decided its time for a new place. Fast forward a Google search later, Im at my first appointment. I was taken in instantly for my initial exams. I met Dr. Gittins who not only has plenty of knowledge about my diabetic eyes, but explained to me how well they have been maintained and why I have difficulty with my night vision. He was familiar with my Retinal doctors and overall made me feel great about my vision, maintaining my vision and choosing proper contacts etc, also, i wasnt rushed like at my other vision center, and the best part was I was given options so I could make a decision on what I want to use to enhance my vision. I dont like writing reviews, I think people should experience service and make a judgment call themselves. However, service was so excellent here, I had to make a review. I look forward to maintaining my vision with EYEcenter. Its exactly what I personally was looking for.

I came in for a medical appointment for chronic headaches and dizziness. Looking for answers for my symptoms that were decreasing the quality of my life, the optometrist was very condescending, short and rude. She told me she can’t tell me anything without an eye exam, which I am not eligible for another month with my insurance. It is just an exemplary and extraordinary practice.I have usually seen Dr. Fuerst, whose father founded the practice. They’ve done a great job with my eye testing.I recently experienced a sudden eye problem and was immediately given an appointment with Dr. Rappa. They have a decent selection of styles, some fair, some overpriced. My family and I have been receiving optometric care from Dr. Randy for 30 years. He skillfully diagnosed and treated our oldest daughters eye muscle problem allowing her reading skills to return to grade level. Their offices have and maintain state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. Of particular note is the retinal imaging, far superior to dilation and the ability to compare from year to year. Only reason for 4 stars is the billing department needs a better understanding of Medicare 3rd party billing. Got it straightened out but more trouble than it should have been.

Dr. Matt Earhart is the best ! I have been a patient of Dr. Earhart for over 5 years. I initially was seeing him at his previous office, and when his office moved to the Citrus Heights/Rocklin area, I had no problem driving the extra 30 minutes each way to see him for my eye appointments. He has been my primary eye doctor and he is comprehensive, knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. He embodies the humankindness aspect that all healthcare providers should ideally have. I have post-lasik eyes and now have to wear contact lenses and Dr. Earhart is the only one that has been able to help me with my hybrid Synergeyes contact lenses. I wouldnt go to anybody else.Front office staff are always nice, and I appreciate their saturday business hours.
