Sales rep on the phone was very helpful and Lamone at the storage facility was very knowledgeable about the product and helpful as well. Great customer service at competitive pricing as well.The only thing I would recommend is clean the storage units before showing them to customers. Would have been a 5 star 🌟. Thank you.

Lamone was wonderful, he is very good at his job. He greeted my husband, and I as soon as we walked through the door and immediately started helping us. Lamone was extremely helpful in explaining the details of my contract. He answered any questions I had and offered help to upgrade my storage if I needed more room once I saw the space. Made online reservation and within five minutes, received a call from the office (Lamon; who was super chill & knowledgeable) to organize additional information and a walk-through visit. Efficient, quick and professional. The facility is clean, well kept with easy access all around. The only downside is, there’s no temperature control but at present I’m not storing anything that requires this feature. I’ve been in other storage facility these over the last few years and I like how easy-going this atmosphere is. Check it out!

Pam and the manager at the steelw lane location in Santa Rosa CA are the most professional and efficient customer care providers I have ever met. They have accommodated every need and concerns I have had and made this move as smooth as could be.iam VERY thankful for them both and if was up to me I would give them both a substantial raise in pay. This is a great storage facility. If you are moving or going to be moving and cant fit everything in your house, its good to get a storage unit. Its always kept clean as well.There are several different sizes of units too. It depends on how many things you want to store. Thank you Extra Space Storage staff! Good luck everyone.

Shopping for, and securing a unit was a breeze. Instructions for entry were clear and immediate. Unit was clean, with a lock waiting for my arrival. Impressive efficiency. Havent had any issues, so I cant speak to how responsive they are to customer service issues, but if it is anything like getting set up, a 5-star rating is appropriate.

I rented a 10x10 here for about 5 years. The facility is very clean, pest free and safe. Customer service was great. The employees were always friendly and helpful. Paying the bill was easy. Getting around the facility in larger vehicles and towing trailers in and out was easy as well. I would rent here again.

For the most part, they are one of the better priced storage unit companies in Santa Rosa, however that being said, I do feel that they should improve upon their online intake, by let people know that if you sign up with an online advertised price, it will eventually go to the normal price (almost without notice). I did receive something in the mail 30 days beforehand, but I did not know that it was going to change at all, especially not just 6 months after moving to this area.Now for the good things!! 😁 They are very prompt when helping, great customer service reps, do lock changes for a very small price (lock cut+new lock=$18.45), close to bus stops, very roomy pathways, well maintained, and not too busy. Overall it is a better choice than the original idea, U-Haul.......🤦🏻

Anytime Ive ever used these storage units before, theyve always been so nice and awesome. This one however, is not the case. The people in there have no interest in helping me. Anytime I go there they barely helped me even getting a unit. They just wanted my money real quickly and wanted me to just get going. It was obvious that they didnt want to be dealing with me or dealing with any customer for that matter. The storage unit I got was full of ants, And I know for a fact that I didnt have any food or anything to attract them into my stuff. Im very clean and very organized. Literally the same day that I had gotten the storage unit. I came back to grab a few things and theres ants all over my stuff leading into the next storage unit beside me. As I tried to bring it up to the staff I was brushed off and treated like a lower class citizen that was just wasting their time and did not deserve their time. I was extremely irritated and blown away at the way that they talked and cheated me and follow customers that were around. I will be sure to never come to this place again because like I said in the very beginning anytime Ive ever used these places before, its always been great, but this place makes me never want to use them again. I hope their corporate sees this and sees how their employees are acting.

This storage facility was absolutely amazing! I needed a unit quick and that was affordable as I am a college student. They were super quick with getting me in their facility and had excellent service when ever I needed something and I was on the property. Upon canceling my unit, Lamone gave exceptional customer service in getting me “moved out” and it took all of 3 minutes! Definitely will be coming back here for any storage needs in the future!

Upon arrival the facility was very clean. The gentleman that showed the units to us.... his name was Laron I believe ...he was extremely thorough and very professional. The degree of respect that he portrayed was refreshing. We felt very comfortable in knowing our items in storage would be under close observation and care. Although I think the prices there are higher than other places, when I considered the great location and integrity of the management.... the extra cost is well worth it. This is the first time I’ve ever used a storage unit and I have to say it was the easiest and uncomplicated process I’ve ever had!! I rented the unit the evening before online and it was ready the next day first thing in the morning. Very clean facility and super friendly staff, easy to navigate and it felt very secure. I paid quite a bit for the unit and only used it for 5 full days, once I checked out of the unit the staff noticed that and gave me a full refund and I only paid for the time I used it which was significantly cheaper. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing a place to store their stuff! If I ever need another unit, I will be going here again!

The hole process of getting my unit was incredibly easy. I did everything online, without any issues. I had my gate code immediately and had access to my unit. I loved that the price of a lock for the unit got added in, as well as having the option to get a refund if I didnt need the lock. That little thing added to the ease. When I arrived to put some things in my unit, the unit was very cleaned and the lock was inside. The unit zip have a zip tie on the outside with the inspection ticket. I have to say that when compared to my previous experience at this location, this time moving in was such a breeze.

I spoke to a very nice lady on the phone who set up the storage unit and gave me the first months rent free even though I wasn’t sure I was going to do more than one month. When I went to do the paperwork, Ryan, the manager showed me the unit which was a little difficult to close the latch which was no big deal, seriously, but he took the time to care and get me a different one. UPDATE: 1 star. Lamone, the on-site resident, is a bully w/ a power trip. Continuously harassing me about organizing and compiling the 2 units I have there.(10×30, and 10×25) complaining I was using a shop light plugged into a portable battery pack,(EcoFlow), so thatvi could see in the back of the 30ft unit. 3 days in a row, he made a point to come to my unit to bully me out of being there so much. Threatening to kick me out of both units, if I didnt stop going there as often as I was.(One unit, contains my life, being: every thing i own and use for day to day business dealings, as well as home storage, the other is my recently deceased M.I.As entire estate from a 30+yr residence.) Every time I showed up to my unit, for 3 days in a row, no more than 15 min, and he was showing up to my unit to harass me about being there. AVOID @ ALL COST. (OH AND THEY HIKE THE PRICES SO MUCH, SO OFTEN.

Disappointed. Reserved a spot online, received a call promptly from a customer service rep- she was friendly, told me theyd honor the online deal of $49/month with the first month free. I told her that I only needed it for a couple of weeks, she told me I would only be charged the set up fee due to the special they were running. When I got there, it felt like the staff was trying too hard to be friendly and lacking on listening skills...I ended up paying over $100 including the setup charge. They didnt want to honor the $49 per month, and absolutely refused the first month free because I wasnt using it for one month+. The unit itself was adequate: dry and broom swept. Extra Space Storage is A+++! Had a great experience, especially by Lamone. First of all, I booked 3 10’x30’ units. They hold them for you without any deposit or even credit card on file. Super! I originally thought we were going to move in on June 15 but our mover had to reschedule. That’s when Lamone jumped in and dealt with extending the hold for another 2 weeks by working his magic with their computer system. By the time I moved in on July 8, everything was ready to go. But it didn’t end there. Turns out these units are huge, so I only needed 2. I dropped by the office and Lamone helped me again. I asked if I could cancel the 3rd unit and prorate the charge (since I already had the unit for a few days). He said he wouldn’t ding me for my poor planning and issued me a full refund on the spot! Amazing! On top of all that, we moved in when it was 102 deg and the units were amazingly cool (75 degrees or so), even though they are outdoor units. I have used other storage companies before, But Extra Space Storage is hands down the best there is! Will definitely be my go to from now on!

I have a long history with storage units varied between 4 different companies (2 different Extra Space locations before W. Steele) and there’s not a huge difference between the facilities, physically or operationally, but what sets them apart are the people working there.It was last minute-crunch time storage unit shopping for me at 4pm on a Sat and it was down to 3 spots in Santa Rosa. In In the end I chose Extra Space because of its gate hours and location but mostly because of the employee that took the time to field all my concerns even as we approached the 5:30p office closing time.Lamone is authentic in his level of customer service- from his thoughtfulness to his pride for the facility.He went above and beyond showing me 3 different units so I could find just the right one.It was obvious that we were going to be there beyond 5:30p for my transaction but he still was able to help another customer as they dashed in w/ their payment. He was calm, congenial, and professional throughout.He made sure that I understood my lease without rushing through anything and didn’t try to aggressively upsell me a lock after I told him I didn’t have one at the time but I’d bring one from home the next day.Lamone is one of the few people left who works in a cross link job that requires impeccable customer service skills, sanitation/organization duties as well as the ability to make sales, and manage tenants WHO ACTUALLY CARES and that is why I feel completely confident in my choice of storage facilities- thank you Lamone!

First month free is a scam. We paid in full, up front, for the time we needed. We got an email a month early stating we were late and no longer had access. Evidently they didnt give us the first month free even though they told us they did. (which was only 13 days, not a full month anyway.) Originally we were told we were paid in full through August.
