This location (Placentia, CA) had flooding in a unit and took zero responsibilty to help clean up, move, or relocate safely. With no repairs made and future rain coming, they only offeted me a similar unit along the same wall that flooded. When I asked for temporary use of larger unit so I could move in (by myself) more easily and separate the items to dry out, the supervisor referred to it as compensation instead of properly considering it mitigation. The worker in the office helped me use a loophole to get a larger unit for a free month, which I moved into by myself just before more rain came.I have heard nothing from anyone apologizing, asking if I meed help, nothing. They truly dont care about their customers.I also learned theyve been overcharging me by 3-fold for over a year.I am using this weekend to find a new facility.Edit to the reply: Not sure what else is needed to be known. Denny was there the entire time and called 2 supervisors, one of whom was made aware in real time and didnt take action. Hes the only one that was helpful at all, so why do I need to call him to explain this again?

I have always thought that this place in the best. And I always want to go to this storage company, the only thing that is worst is they have workmen in the street cutting off thepeople that would like to come in andget your things put away and all.Workmen they were putting upApartments there. This is hands down the best storage company I could have ever worked with. My unit was exactly the size I signed up for, I never had any issues accessing my stuff and the customer service is second to none as a member of the military my pay didnt come through while I was away in Washington and I obviously couldnt pay for storage and when they called me about my card being declined and I explained my situation they gave me time and worked with me instead of pressuring me and after I left the area I never canceled my unit with them and again they verified my space was empty and didnt charge me for the full month which was super generous and unexpected of them Extra space storage comes with my highest recommendation!

***Update 4/22***It wouldn’t let me make another review. So i just finished my time with this location. I was with them since December. The whole time they were so nice. I told them that I might not be able to get all my stuff out in time (I did) and they offered me an extra 2 days to move my stuff out. Super grateful to them and would definitely recommend them to anyone going thru a tough time.Very friendly staff especially Ali super friendly and helpful. Very easy to apply online.

It has been very convenient for me to go back and forth several times at the beginning and end of each holiday. Its always been very clean and a safe environment. The staff over the years have been friendly and helpful with any issues that have arisen. Its been a very positive experience over the last 17 years. The only reason I left is because we are moving. I reserved online site unseen. The unit is upstairs down a long corridor in a poorly constructed 2nd level. Unit looks patched up due to water damage. App doesn’t work, had trouble with my access code (now working).

This spot is so clean its ridiculous. The chick at the front desk is awesome . kinda of a dork but its pretty sexy.. All staff are cool here they work with you on payments if your in a bad spot. I really miss going there . the hours are amazing. Open everyday and late . right down the street from home depot and sams club.

Except the downstairs unit got a little pricy for me.when i moved in a 5×10 i paid maybe 100 including insurance ..and went up to 150 ...other than price and a few interesting characters who come in there i definitely suggest this storage space

This is a great storage space. The manager is very thorough and makes sure you know everything in your contract and about your site. Even double checks that your codes are right. The staff is nice and helpful. I made a great choice.

My family and I searched all over Yorba Linda and Placentia for a storage facility and made a decision on Extra Space. The units are so much nicer than others we have seen and the staff is leaps and bounds above the miserable employees at the ones we have seen everywhere else. I think we were helped by the manager himself and he was so helpful and happy to deal with our hundred questions and request to check out different sizes and units. We have been at this location for almost 6 months now and the customer service is still always exceptional and the place is always spotless.

THEY RAISE YOUR RENT!!The staff is very friendly. Everyone is so nice.But the reason why they have a 4.9 rating is because the staff pretty much begs your for a rating. They want to see you do it right then and there. I’ve rented here twice. The first time I had my storage for about 2 months and the girl asked me 3 times for a rating. I told her I would. The third time she got me to take out my phone and she showed me how to give a rating right here on google maps. She asked me to write something with her name on it. The second time I rented here the guy who helped me also asked me for a rating. He also asked me to put his name on my comment. I told him I had already given this place a rating because I had rented before.THEY ASK YOU TO COMMENT ADDING THEIR NAME!!! That is why all the comments have a helpful employee name.Don’t get me wrong. The employees are genuinely kind and helpful.If you are renting a storage here I think you should update your rating. THIS PLACE DOES NOT HONOR THE ORIGINAL RENTING PRICE THEY GIVE YOU.

Terrible Experience - Storage Unit was broken into and I was not informed until days late. Furthermore, help was not given from the manager Danny or his employee Hannah. It was an inside job and this is not the first robbery. They make false statements, neglect security and camera footage, and they do not cooperate with you. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY AT ALL - I WAS NOT THE ONLY CUSTOMER WHO WAS ROBBED! I took the company to court and they lied their way through to the end. They claimed In the contract we state we are not liable or responsible for damage or loss of property due to fire, flood, robbery, or anything whatsoever. So why do they have a business? What are they responsible for? Zero stars!

I rented a unit about 3 months ago and just got a notice in the mail let me know they were increasing my rent by 58%. I was paying $224 a month and they want $354 now! I went online and the online price for the same unit is $42 a month cheaper. I went in to try to have them fix this and they were unable to due anything stating that supply and demand caused the rate hike. Be warned that there rates posted will go massively up without little to no warning.
