I cant over emphasized how well this storage facility is run. I have been a customer of various storage centers in 4 different states over the years. Marion & Elizabeth offer the most professional of service and experience. They take oversight of the property seriously & with professionalism seldom seen any more. Id only add that they do so in a personal manner.Glad Im rid of my stuff, sorry I wont be seeing them anytime soon

From the moment I called to inquire about a unit, Elizabeth was there for me and made the rental and move in process quick and easy. I love this facility, it is in a great neighborhood and everything about it is user friendly. Drive through Security Gate shuts behind each car so you feel safe. Parking is located right in front of the building-no stairs! The Office has a visual on people in the lobby and there are plenty of carts parked by the elevator. There is a clean bathroom with nice warm water to wash up after moving, it’s such a bonus. I have rented storage all over the US for 40 years and this Extra Space Storage facility is truly my best experience. 5⭐️

This place is amazing, well maintained and the staff is great. I had my storage at this location for more than a year, and never had an issue or complaint about it. Recently, I was in need of a second unit and they immediately found the solution of a unit which perfectly suits my needs. They will increase your rent between 60-100% 3 months after you move in. They know that most people will not want to bother with finding another storage unit and moving all of their stuff again. Theyll post a comment on this about market values blah blah blah, nonsense. This is pure greed. They are capitalizing on predatory practices and squeezing every cent out of the working class already hard up for space. I wish they didnt operate like this because everything else is great. The office staff is very helpful, no issues with storage, and payment is easy.

Buyer beware!Started at $265 for a 10X10 and within 2 months, they raised rent to $385. At 12 months, raised rent to $425 per month. A 60% increase in one year. The contract did say they could raise the rate, and if you paid the new rate, you accepted the new terms. I assume they figure you’re not going to go through the expense of moving out. I had no idea or forewarning they would raise the rent so much. LOOK OUT FOR THEIR DECEPTION!

From the outside looking in....its clean, the lady in charge is just enough...she gives everyone just enough room so they/renters do not feel like they are being watched and jugded. I recently returned to Extra Space Storage in Monterey, CA. after being with a different storage company for several years. Upon my return I was greeted as an old friend, the manager was so kind and helpful. She made it so easy for me to check move in to a unit that was less than half the rate I was paying in the Bay Area. She was so helpful, kind and considerate. She made sure that we had everything we needed and found the perfect unit for my storage It felt like coming home! What a great experience.

I have rented storage spaces from Extra Space storage on Dela Vina for almost 4 years, since I moved to Monterey County (PG). I have found it to be EXCELLENT in every way!The managers are so nice and go out of their way to be helpful and to make moving in and out easy. (I even got a call from Marion telling me I had closed, but not locked, my padlock.) For the present, I have 3 units and Marion found the extra 2 to be close to the first.The spaces are clean, they offer climate-control, and I have had no problems with pests. They have a large, fast elevator (between 3 floors) and large carts. No lugging items from the car and up stairways, and with some covered stalls if its raining. There are security gates and cameras and I find the prices to be very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Liz and Marion are amazing! This is the first time Ive ever rented a storage unit so I had tons of questions. Liz and Marion both helped me over the phone and answered all my questions. I was able to set up my account over the phone with them. Super clean facility, it feels really safe and secure too. The elevator is large and they have carts you can borrow to move boxes on. Staff is so friendly and helpful here it just makes the place that much better knowing you have great support if you ever need anything while renting there.

Spent the last couple of days looking around the Monterey area for a good storage place. This facility works very well for me. Feels secure and weather resistant (cool and humid around here). But what really sold me are the folks that work there, especially Cindy. She met me the first time I was there and showed me around, graciously foregoing diving into her lunch at the time. When I came back a couple of days later to rent a unit she was just as gracious and thoughtful, along with Marion, who was also there this time. Customer service with a smile! It started out ok. But when we got to the facility, typed in our code, gained entry, we got locked in. The code didn’t open the storage locker door, nor did it let us leave via the gate. We sat for a long period waiting for phone assistance since the office was closed. Overall, it was not a great experience and we are hoping it improves. We are also a little worried that some interior doors were left propped open with no supervision and some door exit out beyond the gate. This facility is not nearly as secured as others.

The staff I encountered the day I initiated my space lease, two ladies, were very helpful and courteous. I actually first attempted an online reservation, which was completed, and then got a phone call from the staff within one hour of my confirmation. They are very on top of their flow of vacancy and spaces.When I physically arrived, they gave me accurate and detailed descriptions regarding the spaces available, and were straight forward about pricing and the pricing fluxes that I may encounter throughout the year depending on the market. Good to know so I wont be surprised about anything later.I felt my belongings would be safe and they conveyed that impression very well. They became aware I had just moved into the area and were extremely welcoming in their attitude towards me and my wife as newcomers. They clearly explained the logistics of getting into and out of the facilities and efficiently handled the computer process of my leasing agreement. They also answered plenty of my hypothetical situation issues and I definitely have peace of mind with my belongings here. It is a good location with adequate parking and loading spaces. If youre on the fence, stop hesitating before your ideal space gets taken.

This was a wonderful experience. I was driving around Seaside, Ca looking at different storage units, trying to get quotes from different people. Two of my phone calls were never returned. One place would not show us the units and said that the squares on the floor were an approximation of the size. Then I went to Extra Space Storage! I met with Marion and she was amazing. Not only did she take us around to show us different units, she found one that was close to the elevator for me so that I would not have to move my stuff as far. Their cart to take things to the units are easily to handle and you can actually stack quite a bit on top of the carts. I have dropped of numerous loads and things have been so easy and simple. I unloaded about 18 boxes from my car and had them unloaded on the third floor in my unit in under 5 minutes. The customer service was amazing and I have already recommended Extra Space Storage for one of my coworkers. An added plus is that it is gated which makes me feel secure dropping things off at night.

The staff at this location is very friendly and very helpful. I was driving into the area with a truck, but would arrive very close to the end of their office hours on a Friday. They called me several times to check on my progress, and when it became clear that I would arrive after they closed, they checked my route, found another Extra Space Storage location, and arranged for me to stop and sign the lease at the other location.When I arrived, they were more than accommodating with my initial move-in.I very much recommend the Dela Vina, Monterey location!

Plenty of easy access to get your stuff in and out, from the first phone call after signing up on the web, you are treated like family. Yeah I know, cliché, but it’s true. Integrity from the start and all through the informative and simple contact process. Cindy let me inspect the last unit of the size I wanted on the first floor. Both ladies were knowledgeable, friendly, funny and helpful. You will not be disappointed when you choose Extra Space Storage. It was nice and cool walking the wide halls, there’ are carts available at the entry points, lights are automatically turned on & off as you move through the aisles.It is by far the cleanest storage facility I’ve seen and I’ve been to more than a few. A guy with a truck, is always the first person you call on moving day. Yep I’m that guy. Go see this friendly and very funny Team off professionals at Extra Space Storage, you won’t be sorry. This company really knows what customer service means. I had some questions after I checked online. Called the number and they made the reservation for me. Minutes later, this AMAZING lady, Cindy, called me to confirm the rental and explained everything. An hour later I went to the site to sing the contract. Cindy greeted me like she has known me for a lifetime. She was very helpful and took the time to explain everything, even the smaller details. I feel so welcome at this place. Thank you Cindy!!! They take the time to explain and make sure everything is to the customers needs and liking. The facility is always clean and carts are readily available to aid in moving. The front desk was really helpful and if you start off with a big storage unit but sell some large items, they will find an open storage that is smaller and will cost you less money. Where do I begin? How about with customer service? When I received a call from Marion after signing up on the website, I knew I had found the right place to store my belongings. I had quite an attitude when Marion called and I rudely said Well if I could get off the phone with you then maybe I can let you know what time I will make it. I was having a bad day and rushing to pack and Marions kind tone did not waver. She did not respond to my rudeness but instead asked what she could do to help me and that I could talk to her whenever I got a chance. I did call back and apologize and Marion never was rude (she had every right to be) and was totally professional and helpful. When I arrived, she and the staff greeted me and my son .like we were old friends. Marion even explained some questions I had about the location of stores in the area and wished me the best in my move. Marion then went on to explain everything about the rental agreement and sent me an email that included a copy of the contract. Taking possession of the unit was extremely simple and COVID-safe; everything was done online and I was able to put my own lock on the unit in completely contactless fashion. The associates were nice and helpful. They were kind to our daughter who was with us and showed us multiple units so we could determine the correct size. Unfortunately, the unit size we settled on was a smelly unit, like cigarette smoke. We will have to spray the unit ourselves to try to get the smell out as we are not smokers and dont want our things to smell of it. Even though these units are not environment controlled, we got a 2nd story, indoor unit, which should be sufficient. We are storing our entire house temporarily, due to a military situation. They had a good deal online, which they honored in store and will pro rate the final month. They supply everything youll need for packing and the really nice locks. Just signed a lease today, so well see how it works out.

I rent storage there from time to time. Management always does a great job of making it easy for me to be a partner with them. Would recommend them to anyone who needed quick storage space or long-term storage

I moved to Monterey and man was I lucky to find this spot! The ladies in the front office are so wonderful and easy to work with. They always have a smile on their face and have answers for any questions I have. My husband and I picked this storage facility because its in the center of Monterey and thought it would be expensive. However once we got there, the front desk ladies took care of us like one of their own and made the whole process pleasant and the prices were reasonable.Definitely recommend!

Obviously the customer service! I look forward to going to my storage unit and especially when im in a bad mood because the staff always cheers me up! Their all great but Liz has the best sense of humor :). They are the best of any business with follow up calls and application procedures! No B.S. Or complications! There also lenient with some protocol, for example i wanted a different storage locker, not only did they keep an eye out for the one that i was hoping for but they let me transfer at no cost! I believe that is actual better for business in most circumstances in the long run! Ive been there a year now and dont think ill be leaving anytime soon.

I just have to give this facility a major %110 in customer service my experiece is alway amazing, you see I have rented here in the past and I wouldnt go anywhere else Ms. Marion & Liz are truly two awesome team players. Always professional and anticipated my needs as soon as I walked in the door. Safety is a very big issue for me, because of some personal set backs my family has been misplaced and its extremly important that our things are kept in a safe and secure facility . And just knowing the caliber and integrity of your facility and Marion & Liz I can rest assured and not give it a second thought, as well as Im able to sleep at night . This is THE place to store your stuff. The staff is friendly, understanding, and always there to help. I like the way the office is set up, right when you enter the building, then take the express elevator up and Im right at my unit. One time I lost my key to my lock, the girls really know their power tools, brought in the big saw and cut that lock like a pro!! Really a humble kind of crowd, never a dull moment at this storage place. And a restroom for customers that rivals most 5 star resorts! Climate controlled units, totally secure and in beautiful down town Monterey. A great place to store your bike, Del Monte bike trail is right there!

This Extra Space storage location is your worst nightmare. I went to help move my mother in-law who is 80 years old. The elevator was broken so we had to wheel her boxes down 2 flights of stairs to get them out of the space. In addition, the sensors for the one way direction gates were broken so you could not get out of the facility! Customers were climbing over fences to go around to the front gate to get in and out. How is an 80 year old woman supposed to do that? In addition, the managers would not answer their phone so customers could report the hazard! What if someone had a heart attack or serious health issue as a result of the moving? Extra Space, was completely unresponsive when we shared our experience. Thank God all their locations are not this disrespectful. It was one of the worst customer service experiences of my life.

I am a Monterey local and have been so about 20 years. I have moved around quite a bit in the area and have always found a storage useful and necessary. I have certainly had a rollercoaster of emotions when it comes to the search of and the hospitality of the workers of a storage facility. it was not until very recently that i went to Extra Space in Monterey and met with Liz and Cindy. They are the sweetest and most down to earth women and they made this stressful experience, make me feel extremely welcomed and memorable, hence the review. I am not sure that i would have rented a space here if not for Liz and Cindy. They were kind, and they offered me compliments as well as compliments of my 4 year old daughter. Like the other reviewer, I called several places before renting from Extra Space Storage. I found the other places to be overpriced, and got the impression that they couldnt really care less if I rented from them or not. Marion at Extra Space made me feel welcome, and was extremely helpful. The fact that the unit price was literally almost half of what the other mainstream rental place wanted was a bonus.

Marion the manager went up and beyond to accommodate my needs and request (which were a lot because I dislike elevators so needed something on the ground floor and I wanted a convenient location. She was very knowledgeable about the available units and what would best suit my needs. The other office assistant is very pleasant and friendly as well!
