Extra Space Storage in Los Gatos is awesome. It’s clean, secure, and I always felt like my stored items were safe. It’s easy to get to, and I like that it’s a smaller facility. I also like that the manager is on the premises and walks the facility multiple times a day.

We just moved to this location from another storage unit leased from another rental company. The moving was a great experience! The Manager gave me a call to introduce himself in advance of our arrival and offer his assistance for any questions. When we arrived (truck loaded of items), the Manager gave us clear directions where to park and some helpful suggestions to facilitate the off-load the truck, reserve one elevator for us, and gave us walkthrough to the units, and restrooms. Each unit was very clean and had brand new locks. We spent around 10 hours off-loading and organizing our stuff. The Manager stopped a few time to check on us and for any questions. Overall, the Manager service, the quality of the units and the actual facility (new and very clean) are first-rate. Highly recommended!

This is my second or third time renting with this facility, and I can’t express enough how wonderful of an experience I’ve had each time. The site manager, Michael, is always extremely helpful and friendly. This facility is exceptionally well-maintained, secure, and clean. It’s clear Michael takes great pride in maintaining the grounds. For all of these reasons, I continue to use these units whenever needed.

Very pleasant experience! The units are all clean, secure brand new. Michael was very friendly, knowledgeable & experienced. The process was quick and painless. They also check all the units every night to ensure locks are closed and the property manager Michael lives on-site for added security!

These are seriously the nicest storage units I’ve ever seen, the place was spotless and smelled great! I’ve seen all kids of storage units before from Arizona to Boston and these are easily the best. The guy who runs it is really accommodating too !

This storage facility is hands down the best if ever used. One reason for my outstanding experience is MIKE, the manager. He is friendly, kind, and looks out for you. For instance, I once forgot to fully close my lock. About 20 minutes after I’d left the facility Mike called and let me know. I was so grateful and returned to find my items safe and sound. I proceeded fully close my lock. He didn’t have to do that, but he did. Thank you Mike for the great help and service. I hope to rent with you again in the future.

The storage facility looks new, clean and well-maintained. Michael the property manager was super helpful with quickly upgrading our storage unit to a larger space when we realized the one we reserved was too small. When I arrived with my moving truck I realized I left at home the keys to the disc lock I placed on the storage roll up door. Michael was quick to help grind the lock off with a circular saw and had a replacement lock ready all within 10 minutes’ time. In spite of my hiccups, Michael was very accommodating and I am very impressed with the quality of service :)

Given the location, cleanliness and security of this location, the rental rate is very good. The only thing that remains to be seen is when and how much the rental rate will go up.

Michael is the best. He obviously has years of experience in management and takes care every detail. He doesn’t just tell you what to do. He personally takes you to the space and shows you how to use the codes to To gain entry, operate the elevator, and find your space…everything. He’s such a nice, friendly guy, I’d like to go drop by and visit but I don’t have any questions to ask because Michael takes care of everything. Oh by the way every square inch of the property is cleaner than my kitchen table. This man is a professional. We take many different paths of life but at the end of it we look back and it’s not what career you did then matters. It’s how well you did it. Michael takes care of business. I’ve been storing seasonal items at Extra Space for years. Michael is an excellent manager. They always have shipping supplies when I need them and the service is super easy to use.I store all the items I need only a few times a year there and it keeps my house free of clutter and my stuff is always easy to get to.The facility is safe, clean and well lit. Mike, the on-site Manager, was always very helpful in answering any questions and resolving any issues. He kept a customers to do/questions list so that he could complete the task immediately or follow up with corporate the same day. I did everything online and when I arrived to drop some of my items off. I was greeted by Mike who is the property manager. He was very friendly and was already aware who I was when I arrived. Mike also show me to my unit and explained how to open the doors with the code. When I arrive to my unit the lock was already inside waiting. He provided excellent customer service. I only have great things to say about this place. From the sense of security I get to the cleanliness of the place, Im glad I chose the Extra storage at this location. But most importantly, the customer service that the staff provides is exceptional. Mike, the manager is usually the one who assists me and he is always of great help. I can definitely tell that he has years of experience being a manager at a storage space and that he prides himself in the work that he does. He has always made the transition from one unit to the next, extremely easy for me. In addition, he is always patient and willing to cater to a customers needs and I can very much appreciate that. Mike is incredibly helpful and does his absolute best to make sure that getting a storage unit goes as easy as possible. We’ve now rented 2 units from him and would rent more if we needed them. The facility is very clean, has great security (Mike jokingly calls it “pain in the butt security”), and the units are dry. I highly recommend you use this facility if you need storage.

Im surprised this place is super organized from start to end. After reserving a unit online on their website, the guy (Mike) called me immediately afterwards to confirm everything and gave me instructions on where to go and what to do. The email confirmation even has a map of all their units which is extremely helpful. This is my 4th storage unit rental experience and the most convenient by far. I like the fact that they have enough carts inside for us to use. Id say the only thing I didnt like is the sliding lock mechanism on the unit doors which isnt easy to slide all the way so that itd lock. Price could be better but I guess the good things in life costs a bit more.I had to rent a larger unit the 2nd time around and as usual, they were extremely helpful. Mike has someone else helping him and the new guy was super helpful. They made the process of entering and exiting as easy and painless as possible, haha. I guess the rate goes up every year which is the only thing I dislike. I also love the fact that its super clean and has music playing.

I was able to do it on the same day and the cost of my original unit was pro rated and applied to the new unit I like this facility since it is in a safe area and I never feel like I am in danger when I go in and out on my own. Ive seen some other storage facilities and I am always hesitant to rent from those since I am concerned about safety. Super happy with this location and facility.

I previously rented from a different storage facility and the difference is night and day. The building is only a few years old and looks brand new. The location is safe, low traffic, and convenient to get to. The units are clean as a whistle, have heavy duty doors, and even feature alarms. Finding this place has taken a lot of stress out of moving and storing my things. If you’re considering renting here, go for it.

Wow. At 10pm on a Saturday I learned I needed a place to store all of my personal belongings the next day. At 8:30am the next Sunday morning (despite the office being closed on Sundays), I arrived at my unit to find my name on the handle (to confirm I was at the correct unit) and a lock inside for me to use. When does anything ever go that smoothly? The online rental agreement process was amazingly easy and quick, and the confirmation emails provided detailed instructions on how to access the building (which was very clean) and find my unit. Mike gave me a friendly call on Monday morning to welcome me, to make sure everything went okay, and to see if I had any questions. In a very stressful time for me, Im so grateful that this ended up being the least of my worries! Thank you.

When it got to the point one has to make an appointment and still have extremely restricted and unreasonably limited accessto my own unit, enough was enough.Unfortunately, the added profit center of truck rentals for the other facility has become the more lucrative priority over the existing storage rental customers. Do ask any potential storage facility for their policy in writing as to the access a customer has to their own unit or you may be, at the least, very inconvenienced and end up spending even more money to leave when the frustration becomes too much to deal with.Michael and staff are clearly customer service driven and do everything possible to accommodate the needs of all customers equally. Been renting a storage unit for a few months here before. I chose it because I have had great experiences with Extra Space Storage on the east coast previously, as well as its close proximity to where I work.The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rates may seem a little high, but still very reasonable, and its well worth the money versus many other storage places Ive checked out. The facility is very secure. There is a keypad entry, and a keypad governing the elevator. You can only access the floor where your unit is located. ESS makes sure that your unit is always locked, and will report to you if they find it in an unlocked state. I once left my unit unlocked in my haste, and within a couple days, they called to let me know about it. Nothing was missing or tampered with, despite my mistake.The facility itself is very clean and well-lit. I have looked at other facilities that allow people to rent and live in the units, and you wont find any of that here. Ive always felt very safe with this facility. You really cant ask for more from a storage facility!

I have been through some very difficult and personally traumatic things over the last 20 months, Michael at Extra Space off of Lark and University in Los Gatos helped lessen those burdens. Michael was extreamly respectful, listened very well to what I needed, made sure that I had the correct size unit and was not overspending. He made great sugestions based on what he was hearing me tell him and it saved me a LOT of money in retrospect. I felt completely safe at this facility, everytime I was there he made the rounds and said hello to all the customers or was cleaning the elevators, halls, even there at closing time. I never had a run in with any other customers that gave me a weird vibe. Michael walks the grounds, and I know he watches the CC tv monitors closely when stopping in to say hi, in the office. Michael is a very polite and resourceful professional. He managed the movement of large contracted trucks so that everyone had clear non conflicting access to carts and elevators. AND last but not least, every single time I’ve been to the restroom in the 20 months as a customer it has been SPOTLESS! My move out was non confrontational, no questions or hidden fees or stickler 30 days in writing trying to make an extra buck, simple 10 day verbal agreement based on a professional relationship and great communication. If I need storage again, I will will definately be renting here. Give this guy a raise!! I’ve been to other facilities, rented at other facilities, Michael’s awesome!

After a recent visit to my unit, I received a call from Michael -- manager of the facility -- during a routine lock-check he discovered that I had inadvertently put my lock on without fully engaging the door bolt -- in other words, the unit could still be opened even though the lock was in place. Initially I thought the prices were high, but the representative who greeted me in the lobby matched their online price which was lower than the Public Storage down the street, AND gave me the first month for free. Great location for us, very secure. I never had to worry about anything (heat, water, theft, earthquake). Easy in and out. Staff very friendly and helpful, but to be honest, I rarely needed to reach out to them. Once, we forgot to relock our container, and they called us shortly after we left to alert us, and waited until we returned to secure our things.

The facility on University is very clean and well looked after. Weve had no problems with our storage unit, which weve been using for just over a year. My only gripe is that Extra Space Storage forces us to carry insurance on the contents of our locker. We had the option of buying it through them (relatively expensive) or buying it through another insurance company (relatively cheaper), But did not have the option of not carrying insurance at all.The insurance thing, I think, is just another way these guys have of squeezing another few bucks out of their customers. Kind of like rental car insurance. Its annoying, but what can you do?

Great place to store stuff. Clean, easy ( but secure) access, great staff. Only gripes are the security is a pain as you have to key in to use the elevator and sometimes it times out before you can get on. Also bathroom is only on 2nd floor - if you dont have space on that floor and the office is closed, you are out of luck. But overall, I am very satisfied.

I went to Extra Space Log Gatos to repair an automatic door. Usually at storage facilities it is difficult to find help and when you do it is unprofessional. I could not believe how nice this place was when I arrived from security/surveillance to overall look of building and even a nice candle smell in the lobby. Dpring was so helpful and professional it was like she was in 3 places at once. From helping me get into electrical rooms to helping customer, she is above and beyond and even got my invoice processed right away.Thanks Dpring!

This is my third time with Extra Space Storage, and the second time with Michael Berardi at the helm. Michael runs a tidy ship and is always extremely helpful and friendly. I feel safe there and know that I can trust Extra Space Storage with my stuff. Recently, a group of thugs were robbing a slew of storage buildings up and down the coast. They tried to rob the Los Gatos Extra Space Storage but Michael was ready and surreptitiously called the police, who arrested the criminals. Michael is our hero! He deserves a parade but I think hell settle for a bonus. Give our hero a raise! Well done, Michael!

Ive used your storage facility for years. Recently I wanted to downsize my space. I contacted DPring about doing so and she is amazing!!! Her help with is made the transition so simple. Celia is a real asset as well. I was already physically tired from sorting through my big storage and not looking forward to the task of moving it all, but DPring made it it more pleasant. As I was moving my items I heard her assisting another lady that had lost her key. The woman was upset and I could hear DPring telling her it was no problem as she sawed the lock off for the woman. I spotted both DPring and Celia waxing the hall floors that always do look so clean and nice. I was really impressed. Impressed enough to find a bit of time and write this review. 2nd time using facility! 1st time business and 2nd personal. Micheal (manger) is a rockstar, always nice and goes above and beyond yo help. My kids practice at Creekside, he was kind to let me use their water station to fill my sons empty water bottle. Just recently, he helped me unload 26 cases of wine (redoing kitchen/hardwood floors so we need to storage it until our project is done) and hey gave me month to month with 10 days notice to vacate( most places are 30!)
