This is my first time getting a storage unit, I have a lot of anxiety about my belongings, being separated with me or putting it in the area where I don’t have 24 hours surveillance. Vanessa has been so phenomenal, I have never met anyone who has such amazing customer service, who is so friendly, kind, patient and understanding. I had so many questions that she was so happy to help me with! I feel like most places don’t work with customers and only follow company policy, but Vanessa really works with you as being a client, she really wants her customers to feel reassured when renting out a space. I am so glad I picked this place! Thank you so much, Vanessa for all your help and for answering all my questions.

BEWARE!!! Once you get the storage unit in 2 months they will charge you a good 70 to 100 dollars more to get you to stay . Then in another 3 months they raise you 100$ dollars. Im very concerned this place is ripping people off just because they can!! But I recommend you going in with your neighbors like we did theres four of us and all four of us are moving out due to being overcharged. If I were looking for a storage place I would never have picked this place every 3 months they raised their prices and now they have lost four more units that are going to be empty. Get greedy you loose 4 people. Please people especially senior citizens do not fall for their trap. Every 3 months your prices go up by the time you get out of there. Its a house payment!!!! Its pretty bad when the office cannot supply you with corporate phone number. Thats absolutely crazy. They obviously dont know whats going on with their own company. Not to have the corporate office number is not even a company. Then they put this fake message below your complaint and say call the office I already did and youre useless!! And of course the space is not guaranteed that price for life but every 3 months and how much you raise it is absolutely ridiculous. Not falling for your trap this time!!

My wife and I received outstanding, above and beyond, wow service from Vanessa! We needed to find a smaller unit because we were underutilizing our large drive up unit, which was wasting space and money. She was quick to give use several options to choose from. The process was easy and she even brought the moving carts to us. We need more pople like Vanessa who care about customers and make them feel like they matter. This place is alwasy clean, staff is responsinve, informative, and care about customers. Thank you for going above and beyond to help us out today!

I was looking for a dependable and trustworthy storage for my furniture being shipped from overseas while looking for a place to stay. The folks working at the Pleasanton branch, Vanessa and Marcos, were so friendly and helpful. I told them I needed to see the space before I booked and Marcos was extremely patient and helped me address all of my concerns with my delivery company. Marcos also took the time to explain all the processes involved as well as the terms and conditions. The place is clean and well-kept. The facilities is well- maintained. Will not recommend to use this storage. They will start you at cheapest rate and then double the price next month. When you ask them they will give you reason of its in their contract they can change price whenever they want to and its market rate. Its a scam. My rent went from $164 to $285 whereas for new customers on website for my unit size it still shows old cheap rent for so people sign up and end up paying double next month.

I rented a 5x5 space from extra space and their process to reserve and access storage is pretty simple. The only hitch I had was since my scheduled move in date was on a Sunday, when they sent me my access info I received the gate access but did not receive my storage number and therefore was not able to move in to storage that sunday as I needed to contact the office manager in order to get my storage number. But overall very nice facility and you have dolly access to help with your move. The office manager was also very helpful when I contacted them for my storage number.

Rented from this place with no promo and a rate that was expensive as it is. A couple months after storing my belongings I noticed my bill went up, I wasn’t notified in advance and was not given a reason when I contacted them. I was paying $190, my bill went up to $270. Quite a big increase, no notice. They were unwilling to lower it to the rate I initially agreed to.How many times are they going to do this over the course of what could have been a long term rental?

I absolutely love this place! Paetra was so patient in helping me pick the right storage size. We went through multiple options and went back and forth from unit to unit and she was fantastic. They sell locks, boxes, and tape so everything I could possible need is in the front office. Im really picky about storage places but this one really takes the cake.

This storage unit had completely gone down. They kept jacking up the prices. We started at around 50$ a month and even after being there for years they kept increasing the price to over 200$ a month for a small storage space. When asked about throwing away something the reply was this is not a dump take your stuff with you. Rude. Unprofessional.

A professionally run establishment that takes pride in their work. I facilities are clean, maintained, and in good working order. I was able to reserve a unit and do some of the preliminary paperwork online, showed up after work, and had my unit within 10 mins. Quick and efficient process all while I felt valued as a customer. The area surrounding the storage facility is a safe area of town as well.

As part of my job I have storage units all throughout Northern California. I can honestly say that Extra Space Storage in San Ramon is THE BEST storage facility in Northern California. The manager Jason is incredible!!! He provides excellent customer services to everyone and somehow even seems to know everyone by name. The facility is safe, clean, friendly and excellent at accepting my packages. Just last month I had a 50+ package shipment delivered to my facility which they graciously accepted and stored for me, no problems... I highly recommend this place to everyone!!

Paetra was by far one of the best customer service representatives Ive encountered in a long while. She is very knowledgable of the services, polite and helpful. The price for the first month was free, thanks to Paetra. She even showed us the storage locker and how to use the access point. We didnt have a lock and she was able to sell me a lock at sign up. My husband and I are new customers and we are very impressed with this facility and with the Store Manager, Paetra Darby. We drove up to pay for our first month rent, and didnt realize that it was after 6:00 PM, and Paetra had just closed up the office. We were going to leave and return the next day, but Paetra graciously re-opened the office to help us, staying late to make sure our password worked to open the gate, and that we could locate our space. We appreciated her patience and cheerful manner, even though we were late customers. She seems to enjoy her job and is clearly proud of this facility, which is always a good sign.

I have been using Extra Space storage Pleasanton CA since 2009 & just love the facility. Their always nice & very helpful when your not sure of size. The grounds & indoors areas are always clean. Especially the restrooms. The customer services are just Awesome, always cheerful & helpful. Never rude, even when I had an issue (&arrguement) with my son onsite & he wasnt listening to anyone, she handled it very calmly & appropriately. In 2012 I moved in apartment but had once again needed storage 6 months later & of course was so happy I returned to the facility. Also a few times I had financial issues but they were always helpful working with me which is a big big thing for me in these hard times. Very satisfied with them.

My experience with the Pleasanton location of Extra Space Storage has been incredible !! Right from the start, Paetra the location Manager made the entire process seamless, fun, welcoming while being extremely professional. In all honesty, I was worried about safety and never experienced any issue or concerns. Additionally I was concerned about rodents inside my unit (naturally as ALL storage facilities have rodents), this location not only has a proactive protocol in place just for that - I NEVER had any issue or evidence of. My concern ? I had a few sacks of dry dog food being stored. My unit was always clean and I never had an issue there. Additionally, every visit I had, I was greeted super genuinally by the employee for that day, not to mention all renters as well. I would recommend this location of Extra Space Storage to anyone !!!Its the best value in the area and with exceptional service. THEY Rock !!!

I used to be a customer with Public Storage (the one right by Stanley Boulevard) I had been their for over a year (this was in late 2013) and was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the...1. Lack of cleanliness in Public Storages units (dust, dirt, spiders, and cobwebs in my unit). I would cough every-time I opened my unit... it was that bad2. The General dilapidated state of their entire premises; it honestly reminded me of a crappy used car dealership in Stockton. My ear drums would almost burst from the horrible screeching noise of sliding my screen up everytime I opened my unit.3. The sly monthly rate increases that they would consistently reintroduce every three or six months to my unit, without any improvement in service whatsoever. I later realized that the company Public Storage does this as an underhanded business trick to offset and later profit from the cost of having to give you first month free or at a reduced rate in order to entice you for your business in the first place.Thus in the beginning of 2014, I decided to find a new storage facility and walked into Extra Space storage. I was very impressed...Paetra (their property manager) was very courteous, funny, communicated well and above all listened to my concerns about my previous experience at Public Storage and promptly and specifically addressed each and every one of them. Furthermore the general premises and the unit that she showed me, were in very good condition and were very clean (absolutely no dirt, dust or agonizing screeching noises). The premises also just feels a lot more secure and now that I am a customer I have a greater piece of mind keeping my stuff their. Honestly the reason I feel more secure leaving my stuff their is because of Paetra, and its because she genuinely cares about all of her customers, and sincerely likes her job (unlike any other staff member that I ever interacted with at other storage facilities). So if I do-- God forbid-- ever experience theft, I know Paetra will have my back and take care of me.To top all off their prices are very reasonable, and even if Extra Space does increase their rates slightly; I wouldnt mind paying extra because of the significant increases in value that I have received from Extra Space and Paetra.
