1. My 10 month rental experience at Extra Space Storage was exceptional. The facility was very clean, and easily accessible. However, what absolutely made my experience outstanding was the manager, Rodrigo! He always answered the phone with a warm, relaxed voice, and was happy to be of service. Whenever I asked him for assistance, because of some disabilities with my hands, he always helped me. I am humbled by his extraordinary kindness. I am grateful to know him. His assistant, Paul, is also very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this Extra Space Storage location to anyone.

I was able to take care of my business there in less than half an hour. I received a thorough explanation, toured the facilities, and made my payment without any hiccups. I’ve had a storage unit at this facility for years, and appreciate the staff at the front, they have alway been friendly, accommodating and professional.They keep the building clean, which is very appreciated.They negative issues are that lately, every time I enter through the front gate, someone tailgates me inside. It also looks like people are actually living in their vehicles on the property.Recently, when I called to try to talk to someone, the automatic response just takes you in circles with all the prompts and you can never connect to a human.

Check this out.Got kicked out of my house at the beginning of summer. Given I had to be out by the end of the day, I looked for a storage place to fit my whole room among other belonging and personal treasures. Went into this location looking for help, and Rodrigo explain the type of rooms available and what usually fits in them. Gave me a storage room and keys to fit my belongings instead of leaving them in the streets at a price that didnt hurt my monthly pocket. Now, I could continue my casual California living in my new spot, like any other lower middle class, filled with everyday living, corruption, drugs, women, filthy air quality and the occational selfish day to satisfy my soul. I tried to rent a storage today and Rodrigo was extremely mean. After I asked the price he told me I have to leave the premises. I asked why and he started threatening to call police on me. Then he was helping other people who came in after me and was begging them to give him a 5 star review mentioning his name and he will give them a discount. To me that is not fair business, the 5 star reviews are basically fake. Then rodrigo started hinting to me that because I am black, he thinks I will steal and I am not allowed to rent a storage. Then Rodrigo became very hostile and followed me 100 ft away from the building to my car and kept taking pictures of me. I can’t believe this happened, this is the worst service experience I have ever had in my life

This Extra Space facility is, in my opinion as a 10+-year customer, superbly managed. I love how clean it is and that the doors on the units are rugged helping assure that my belongings remain safe and sound. Its well lit and has a cool temperature range inside, perfect for storing things. June has been extremely helpful through the years whenever I had questions or needed assistance, and so has Larry. I love that they have cameras throughout, and that they have an on-site manager living there... that gives me REAL peace of mind about my belongings. Thanks for all the great service. Ive been a customer at this facility since 2002. Management is great, June is the best! Larry and Shaun are friendly and always helpful. The facility is clean and safe. I have never had a problem or security issue in 13 years.You have access to your unit 365 day a year from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. I personally would like access earlier and later from time to time but because of the location around residential buildings, I dont think they can extend the hours.My only issue is with corporate. Count on regular price increases like clockwork. Little consideration for customers in good standing that have been loyal for many years. If it wasnt for this, would have given 5/5.That being said, if you need to store important personal items for long or short term you need to consider this facility.

One of the managers, Louis was his name I’m almost positive, helped me beyond what I could have expected or asked for. He truly cared about my comfortability and offered me water since it was a hot day, and he made sure my unit was clean (spotless) and made no attempts to overwhelm me or get money out of me, in fact Louis made my entire day better to be honest. I’m so happy to have come across this location. Not only did they provide amazing service, but they turned a very stressful situation into a problem solved! I sincerely appreciate the help when nobody else was willing to take us. The only place that let us store a non-op vehicle when every other place denied us because of so many requirements (literally every place in the sfv). They were also very understanding and worked something out with us to have extra time at a very reasonable price. Overall, we are more than satisfied with the place and and all the people that helped us! Highly recommend extra space storage in Sherman oaks!!! :)

This is my second time renting space with ExtraSpace and found both experiences to be exceptional. Greg at the front desk was professional and courteous, and the staff in general is friendly and accommodating. Facility is clean and modern, and I had no issues with security. Greg set me-up with a first month free rental which really helped me out when I first moved to LA, and wasnt settled. Prices are competitive, but like all storage space costs in LA, storage is a premium. I would definitely rent space here again.

Id give it more stars if management actually cared about keeping customers long term. After 1 year renting, they suddenly jacked up the price substantially. It was not a minor hike and it was more than the others nearby. I wanted to stay and asked if there were any specials that I could get in on, and he said no as I am an existing customer. I gave notice and moved out because I felt disrespected. To be clear, I did not have a special year long discount so the big increase was uncalled for.

I was in a terrible last minute situation when my apartment approval fell through. I saw the sign that said First Month Free made a phone call and was moved in a few hours later. You do have to pay for insurance and your own lock pad lock (which you can get from target for $3). They were very accommodating and I had no issues concerning the storage. Even if I needed the gate access time extended they always accommodated for my needs. Highly recommend.

Nice customer service. Spacious storage. However no light to see in your storage so make sure to have a light with you. Also, after 90 days which was not explain at initial sign up I received a letter with increase of $16 of my rate. They use sale rate to get you in which doesnt include insurance cost than raise your rate at any point in time they feel they want to. As long as they give you3 30 notice its legal. But as I said that was never said upon initial purchase. But its pay the fee or terminate contract. Typical Capitalism Usary especially in a state where rent is already INSANE for no Fn reason except greed!! Only have access until 7pm. All the storage places I have previously used were 9 or 10pm access. Its the closest to me so I have no choice.

I stored my stuff at two other storage facilities before I ended up at the Extra Space facility on Sepulveda in Sherman Oaks, and it was my favorite by far. The place is large, clean, well-maintained. It feels secure and the staff has always been courteous and helpful. I like that theres plenty of room to drive your truck or van in (at one of the other facilities I used, I had a lot of trouble getting around corners with a small U-Haul truck, but at this Extra Space facility, no problem -- plenty of space). The pricing is fair, with some great deals for new customers (I hate that the rate goes up every year but I believe thats true of all storage facilities). And they have a nice variety of unit dimensions. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later than 7pm every day, but if that means higher rates, then never mind. Otherwise, highly recommended.

I had the BEST experience at ExtraSpace Storage! June was such a delight to work with. She literally saved the day twice for me! I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles and at 5pm the night before I was to move into our new home (the movers were to arrive at 8am the next day), I found out there was a problem with the closing and I couldnt move into the house as originally planned. After calling several other storage facilities in the area none of them were helpful whatsoever because they didnt have any appointments available that same evening despite my pleas of being desperate for a unit. I drove passed extra spaces and ran in at the very last minute and June was more than helpful at showing me around and assisting us to purchase a months worth of storage. Not only did she help me with that but the next morning when the movers showed up she assisted us with keeping the gate open for an extra long semi truck. Ive been a tenant renting at first two units and now one for over five years. I lived in Sherman Oaks for a very short time in 2009 before transitioning to the west side. I needed a convenient unit (s), one very close to where I was staying. There are a multitude of storage units everywhere in Los Angeles, including Santa Monica and the surrounding areas. As long as I need a storage space I will never Extra Space Storage in Sherman Oaks...and its because of June and Larry. June has been extremely accommodating and just plain nice!! Always pleasant, always happen to see me, even if shes busy and I feel as if shes a friend. Now I realize we dont necessarily have to befriend those we do business with. But we should! And June does. Kindness, courtesy and service go a long way. And so does cleanliness. The facility is absolutely spotless, well lit...easy to access and completely safe. For all of these reasons, but especially June and then Larry, Ill drive across town and leave my business with Extra Space Storage in Sherman Oaks. I recall a time when I was first moving in carrying one of my bass guitars out of storage for a gig (yes but when you have abundance of musical instruments and limited space) Larry spotted the instrument and asked me about my playing and where I was headed. Hell still ask me about playing from time to time. And June and I have shared info about our families, our children. Now do I do this with everyone? Do I want to? No, but I certainly enjoy with June.... Its clear she loves her job and that love extends to the customers, people like me. Great place for Storage. Very reasonable prices, fantastic storage sizes, very helpful and friendly staff, especially Mark who helped me with getting a space and once with opening the door since my stuff was on the way of the door and it would not open. There is a ton of parking space and the location could not be more convenient it is less than 5 minutes from either 405 or 101 Freeway.I highly recommend you check this place out first if you are looking for a storage.

Ive been a customer of Extra Space Storage in Sherman Oaks for 16 years thanks mainly to June the manager. I was one of the first customers of that facility but was about to leave after the 2nd year because the previous manager was so difficult. Thankfully June arrived and made things right. I learned quickly to rely on June to alwaus be there to help with any problem, large or small. She is is amazing! She knows everyones name and even remembers your unit number. She treats all her customers like family and is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this facility as long as June remains the manager.
