What a fantastic track! The course was in great shape and place of play was on par at 4 hours. We loved the lay out of this golf course and we found the greens to be forgiving and pleasant to play.Unfortunately the service on the patio was not good. After I manage to wave a server down, he indicated he would be right back… and he never did come back! I ended up going inside and ordered our drinks directly from the bartended - who was very good.Great golf and I highly recommend this course.

This is my favourite course in the Palm Springs area. Now, I haven’t played all 64,000 of them, but from the dozen or so I have (including some of the ‘higher end’ name brand public tracks), this is the only one I continue to come back to.It almost makes you want to check your card statement once you drive up to the clubhouse - ‘wait, I paid that, for this??’Service is all class but friendly and not stuffy at all. The food is great including the BBQ guy at the turn. Cart girl was out and about. Really I can not say a single bad thing about this course. Would a driving range be nice? For sure, but the absence of one does not detract from the overall experience.The layout, condition and greens are amongst the best in the desert, and for the price it is by far the best value you’re going to get in the area - case closed.Escena is the bomb! 6 stars out of 5

Might be one of the best values in the whole desert. The course was well maintained and the holes were each unique. It just felt right for the price. There is no range but you can hit into nets before the round. The carts do not come GPS equipped but they have a free app you can use.Every time I find a value price for gold in the desert there is a reason. In this case it is just the amenities that are lacking but I understand that. The course was fantastic

We had a wonderful experience at Escena today!! Would highly recommend playing there ~ for us, we paid for two rounds of 18 knowing we were only going to play 9 and not expecting a lower rate. When we wrapped up our round we went to the Pro Shop to buy a couple pieces we saw before our round, the Director of Golf, Rich, surprised us with a $100 credit each for goods in the Pro Shop, now that’s what I call fabulous customer service!! We will definitely be coming back here next time we come to Palm Springs!!

First time playing at Escena. I havent played at many courses in the Palm Springs area, but Escena course was fantastic. A wonderful surprise to see how well groomed the course was. Hard to lose a ball unless you hit the water. Such a beautiful course.

Course and golf staff are awesome the best pro shop around in our opinion. The restaurant has been remodeled it is absolutely beautiful, food was okay our server seemed to want be elsewhere. But the other servers looked very friendly and on top of things I definitely would give it five stars and Im sure the food will get better

Grill is terrible. They changed the menu with their big new face lift. They raised prices and they left off some of the favorites What golf course grill does not have a Cobb Salad on the menu? EscenaThey took it off as well as a pasta, fish tacos and many other favorites.My salad today, which cost $18 was comprised of rusty lettuce, salami not cut all the way through and the rind on some of the pieces.Service is terrible. The waiter got the drinks wrong and the food order wrong and we sat for at least 30 minutes waiting to get our check. We had to wave arms to get his attention.The golf course is fabulous and the staff on that side of Escena are great. I wish the grill would get their act together. I would love to stay and eat and have a cocktail after golf, but I am done.I will try again in a month, and if it has not changed, I will again go spend my money where I feel welcome and food and service are good.

Escena was a great visit! My wife and I had the opportunity to play a round there. When trying to book the day before using the online system, I had some issues. I called and Deb was able to help so quickly. She was really nice, and made the trip more memorable! The breakfast was great, one of the better breakfast burritos I’ve had. Overall, great experience. I’d come back just cuz of Deb!

Decent golf course. Flat as expected in the desert.Saturday, April 27th, perfect 80 degree weather. The course was completely shut down at 4:30 PM. 4 hours before dark. No one in the restaurants, club house, or anywhere. Once again Saturday at at 4:30 PM perfect weather and the course completely closed.Not great customer service the entire round.

Absolutely one of the better “medium difficulty” golf courses in Palm Springs that is great for all sorts of players.It is conveniently located adjacent to the airport in the Escena community, but is open to the public.They have a golf and pro shop, practice greens and practice mats that players can use at no charge.There is no driving range, though. You just practice from mats to loosen up by hitting into a net, which I don’t prefer, but at least it was free.The course has beautiful surroundings and panoramic views of the mountains, and is impeccably maintained.Prices are higher than many other courses nearby, but you get what you pay for.The restaurant and bar is also always open to the public. They have a good menu and fairly good service and food.I will keep returning here!

It is with considerable disappointment that I must advise against patronizing this particular golf course in the Palm Springs area. Despite its online presentation suggesting a pristine playing environment, both the fairways and greens were found to be in unacceptable condition upon arrival. Moreover, the required prepayment of $184 per person did not reflect the quality of the facility, which suffered from incessant airplane noise and notably slow pace of play. Efforts will be made to seek restitution for what I consider to be misleading advertising and a clear misrepresentation of the courses actual condition.I have also noticed a number of overly positive reviews on their website and various social media platforms, which seem inconsistent with my experience and potentially misleading to other customers. This disparity raises concerns regarding the authenticity of those reviews and suggests a possible deceptive practice that I believe warrants further investigation.

Really fun course. In great shape. My 3 playing partners stopped after 12 holes to watch the cowboys game so I got to enjoy the last 6 holes in solitude. Pace of play was good, not great. I was able to get all 18 holes in despite starting at 1pm. Water hazards were always in play. Greens were running at a good pace. Kinda pricey, but would play again.

Immaculate conditions with smooth greens. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. 4 hour pace. A fair, gentler Nicklaus Design with pleasant on course views and magnificent snow covered surrounding mountains. It has exciting well placed white bunkers, lakes and clusters of palms. The very well stocked pro shop and Escena Grill are very attractive. High end luxury food, beverage, friendly service under covered or open patio with priceless views make this experience amazing. All at stunning mid-priced glory. Really! Half the price of Jacks cross town PGA West. And youll leave Escena smiling and satisfied, not frustrated and humiliated.

Lots of locals here for Sunday brunch. Magnificent views of the mountains and you can watch the planes taking off and landing. Sundays sometimes you will see air museum flights like the P51 on Fathers day. Summer update. We rolled in here about 10:15 am on a Saturday and service was fair and food as well. Bottomless Momo works. The key to enjoying summer here is great places like this that stay open for us locals. Highly suggest if you have guests! Service seems a bit different from high season thus the star reduction. Kitchen off a bit too...

Flew our airplane out here for a convention and decided not to bring my clubs since they would not fit in the rental car. My team and I decided we wanted to go golf on our free day that we had and it was amazing! The staff was amazing and the course was amazing! I paid for 18 holes for four people and four sets of clubs with balls. We went at twilight hours so they gave us a great special and even said they would only charge us for three rentals instead of four since it was so late in the day. We only got 9 holes in and it was worth every penny. I was a little nervous since it was a last minute deal that I could be on the edge of dress code for all of us, but since it was so late in the day they were awesome and let us go and play. We loved every minute of it and it was a great team building event. I would recommend to anyone that just wants to go and have some fun or even more experienced golfers to come and enjoy it. I will definitely come back when I get a chance to fly back out this way!

This golf course is our favorite course in Palm springs for a reason. The restaurant has good food, the staff is friendly and the greens are amazingly maintained. We did have a small incident with the cart this last time where it died on hole 17, but we were able to coax it in to the clubhouse. Just make sure your cart is well charged before you get started.

Love to give the place 5 starts but PoP is bad. 4:40 for 18 holes at 9am is not good. The course itself is in very good condition. It’s a Jack Nicklaus course so expect bunkers where you hit the ball. Oh, no range either. They have a 20 yards net to hit into. For $100 you would expect a range, I mean it’s the desert, land everywhere. All the employees I ran into where very professional.

This is the vehicle I use to pick up customers food and deliver it to them for DoorDash. This is escena parking spot I used and this is what happened as not even my back up camera showed this tree branch coming my way. The grill managers response “nothing we can do about it.” The GM’s response after I told him I can’t use insurance, “have your insurance send me a bill!” I’m out of pocket now two weeks worth of work, this place can cook.

We were recommended this course from the Del Marcos Hotel on our stay and I must say, we will be back. This course is so well maintained and just beautiful! The staff were all friendly and helpful AND we got to witness a cool airshow of old fighter planes from the air museum nearby (We heard all the planes there are in working order). We saw a variety of animals from roadrunners to jackrabbits and watched an incredible sunset behind the mountains. The couple we were paired with were MUCH better golfers than us 😜 and were very impressed with all I mentioned as well as with how the course played. A GREAT experience.

Fabulous course, great staff and wonderful accommodations. Its so nice to several working, clean bathrooms on the course! Ive played plenty of courses that just expect all its players to relieve themselves in the shrubs. This is a must play if youre in the desert. A beautiful location, exquisite dining facility and great service. Oh and the blackened fish tacos were pretty good as well. A friend of mine that is a local introduced me to this gem in the desert. I’m not a golfer, so I can’t speak to the quality of the course at Escena. But the restaurant is quite good, and the views are unmatched. If there’s a table available on the outdoor patio, grab it. It’s one of my favorite al fresco dining spots in Palm Springs. The food is quite good, there’s a full bar, and their wine pours are almost as generous as my own when I’m entertaining. And circling back to that view again: it’s magnificent! If you’re in Palm Springs and you haven’t tried Escena yet, please do.

If you are looking for women’s golf wear this is your shop! After a round of golf on a beautiful course we decided to get some shopping in and the pro shop here did not disappoint! So many options for women which is not typical in a pro shop. The staff, including Rich, Director, were so helpful and a lot of fun while shopping! Offering a beverage, style advice and so much more! Great place for a round and the staff is amazing. From the bag drop through the pro shop to the chipping and putting area (no driving range per se) to the first hole starter - fountain of course knowledge and keeps the pace of play well sorted - all the way to the post-18 bag drop and club cleaning!!! All worked to make for two great rounds.Just ensure you can navigate a bunker because there are enough to challenge even the most accurate ball striker

I recently played this course with a group of 9 players. I had pre booked my group 2 weeks prior, but was later charged a higher rate than what I had originally paid. This place is top notch for locals and visitors. Our family had a vacation home in the desert for 37 years (on a membership-only course) and only recently sold it. This gave me a chance to come back for the first time as a visitor last year, and play/experience courses open to the public. Needless to say, we have tried them all. Escena is our favorite! From the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, to the excellent food, to the amazing selection of goodies in the pro shop, this is heads and shoulders above the rest.For reference, we have played at PGA West, Mission Hills, JW Marriott, Shadow Ridge, Indian Wells Golf Resort, etc. etc. Compared to all of those, the people at Escena are super fun, accommodating (we were late once, we had a Southwest flight problem once), and knowledgeable. We spent $400 in the pro shop because its better than any pro-shop in the Coachella Valley. Buy more carts!This course is so-so, certainly not worth the cost...and greens can definitely be improved. No driving range either.Was surprised they force single players to combine carts with strangers. Perhaps that exists elsewhere but I have never seen it, certainly not in the past few years. First the positives. The course is challenging with long holes and interesting lies. The staff are nice, and the food and setting is ok. Watch out for the wind tho!Now the “room for improvement” items: there is no marshaling. The Marshalls are on the course, but not doing anything to get the slow groups moving along. There is no driving range, which is interesting bc there was no mention of it on their web site. The warm up area is a small enclosed space with netting so the ball only travels 20 yards. I played this course twice and don’t think I’ll return.

Fantastic views from the Escena Grill patio. The service was great, the food is an 8 out of 10. It was really good, but not great. I actually would have given them a 5 star review if the hostess was nice. They had a young girl at the hostess station when we arrived. She sat behind the desk and ignored us. I had to ask, are you the hostess, then she finally acknowledged us and grudgingly got up to find us a table. After that poor start the rest of our visit was great. We will ho back, but hopefully be greeted by a friendly host.

The course is great. Very good layout and challenging yet still fun.The problem I have is the way the staff handled and treated us due to their error. We had a morning tee time and was called by the pro shop that there was an hour delay due to frost. They then called and told us our normal tee time was back on. This left us scrambling to get to the course. I was able to hit 10 balls +/- before the stater tells you us we are on the box. Which was even earlier than our original time because the group in front cancelled. It seemed to them it was all our problem. Luckily for them you had to prepay. Not one person apologized. Even the Marshalls on the course said nothing even after we were rushed from the group behind. For being that nice of a course the accountability could be better. Maybe a discount (but it didn’t matter since we already paid) or some free water? Since we didn’t even have time to get some from you the restaurant.

The Grill is a must-visit place when visiting Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. Of course the view is off the charts, but the real draw is the wonderful service and the excellent food. Our starter was a heck of a nice guy and told us about the course and made us feel welcome. It offers a true test for skilled golfers from the tips and is very playable to the average golfer with their multiple sets of tees and generous fairways. This was my second visit this month for Sunday Brunch. I love taking visitors there because the food is typically good and drinks are made well along with their $9.99 champagne offer with brunch. The wait was about 20 mins which is to be expected. We decided to eat at the bar and were sitted promptly. The bartenders were busy and about 10 minutes went by and we got acknowledged. We order drinks and ordered food. Then the wait began. There were a few people who arrived before we got there so it was busy. Brunch took an hour to arrive. My very first visit to play golf here. And I was late so no photos. I never knew there was a public entrance which is located on Vista Chino by the CV-Link area.From the moment I saw the clubhouse & restaurant area I knew I had seen something like it. You can be the judge but its an Annenberg Estate ripoff. Then theres Spanish Villa stuff surrounded by the Mid-Century Modern in parts of the club. Confusing.The Nicklaus designed golf course is very playable. Although the course presents many challenges & has many hazards. Most lies arent difficult. And this layout is no where near as tight as PGA West Nicklaus & no island greens.The main reason I never played here is that its right next to the airport. As a person that enjoys the outdoors. The jet-liners, private jets, choppers, & especially the loud National Guard jets are very annoying.

The clubhouse was absolutely amazing. The food was unique and tasted great. The drinks were also good. The golf amenities on the other hand were not up to my expectations. It was extremely hard to find ice along the way. If you needed ice you had to back to the club house and ask the bartender. Also the golf carts did not come equipped with GPS. But the worst part was the groundskeepers were out trimming, mowing the lawn and driving right through the greens the entire time we played golf. It was extremely distracting. The course was in great condition. I really liked the layout and it was forgiving but yet challenging. I will go back for sure

Visiting from Singapore. We play 9 different courses in the area over two weeks, this one, by a country mile, was our favourite. 5 stars all the way, course is pristine and challenging, facilities are beautiful, and the staff treat you like family. It’s could not have been a better afternoon.

Spent four months trying to contact the club via phone and email to book a private event, NO RESPONSE anytime.Lousy checkin process for a big group that I fully paid for. We rented 5 sets of clubs ($75 each for Cleveland clubs, sad) We were berated by the lady at the course checkin. “You’re holding the whole day since you ordered 5 rental club sets”.We are paid customers.Sorry we spent $1,800 at this place. Terrible client service and miserable staff members

Third time we played this course. A challenging but fair Nicklaus design. Bunkers in the fairway near typical landing areas you have to plan your drives and second shots on par 5s. Most par 3s are long with plenty of bunkers. Staff is excellent. A must play in Palm Springs.

If you are looking for a beautiful and well managed course to play ESCENA is a must.Very friendly staff,challenging and scenic golf course with great greens.One of the nicest Proshop’s fully stocked with Ladies and Mens clothing.You will be greeted by a great staff who are very friendly and will make you feel very welcome.Make sure after your round you head over to the restaurant for a few drinks and a great meal.

Very limited menu is: a hamburger, chicken sandwich.....The best item they use to have was a steak sandwich but no more. They serve the steak at dinner but they dont have the bread to place it on at lunch. They have one of the best atmospheres/views but so so good and bad service

One of the best places for lunch. There are indoor and outdoor areas to eat. Breathtaking green golf course with old ‘King Kong’ palan tree, topped by the best Mountain View in the Coachella Valley. Food is great and options vary. Bar and TV always in action.

Course was in excellent shape.... very fair for an amateur, but challenging to the low handicapper if that is what you want. Grill and bar were also a great place to enjoy the turn and 19th hole!

Escina is a beautiful course with challenging lies, great hole locations, and tormenting hazards at every turn. Even summer golf there is stunning. They have exceptional greens and fairways. The rough isnt too rough, but just the right amount of challenge for any level of golfer. 5/5, would golf again.
