Reviews give it the look of a nice third wave coffee joint. Unfortunately didn’t pass muster :( was served a flat white instead of a cortado. Super sweet staff remade it in the proper glass. Ample seating and fairly clean. Also dopeeee outside patio with heaters (that I suspect they’d turn on if asked!)

Came here twice on my week trip to Palm Springs! The iced dirty chai and iced white mocha were delicious. House made syrups with great espresso. I also love that they put a lot of ice in their drinks (it’s the same amount of espresso)! It was busy on Saturday morning so just prepare for that.

This is a delicious coffee shop that is worth the usual Palm Springs caffeine wait that occurs on the weekends. The line is out the door but goes fast. The offerings here come with a lot of great options. The coffee is solid and of course I’m happy that it comes from the Pacific Northwest. The baked goods are tasty too and the bathroom is clean. The staff is nice and I look forward to coming back here on future trips to Palm Springs.

Excellent local coffee shop. They use Stumptown beans, and they use it well. Flat whites are perfect temp and texture, and their iced drinks are great for a hot summers day. Awesome and friendly staff too!

This place has great coffee AND pastries. Just tried their Pistachio Rose Latte special and was very happy with this drink. Paired it with a muffin for a great way to start the day as I sat out on their clean patio. Staff is attentive and quick. I’ll be back!

FINALLY a good coffee shop! I’ve been really struggling with finding a decent coffee shop and after all of the disappointments from what were supposed to be amazing places, I stumbled across this place with no expectations and they absolutely killed it! Coffee was great, baristas are friendly and helpful, and I will be coming back every time I’m in Palm Springs! Their syrups are homemade and they have different size cups to choose from!

Went here for a coffee at 8.30am and the lines were already out the door. I had mocha and also tried Spinach Feta Croissant and Guava Cheese Empanada. Everything was fantastic! The space is pretty good, too, with lots of seating and really nice ambience. Highly recommend it. If youre looking for good coffee in the area, definitely give this place a try.

Great spot, with outdoor seating as well.Good coffee as well as some snacks. They also do a mean Mexican hot chocolate around the Festival of Lights parade.The cherry crisp and the ham & cheese croissant are both great.One interesting note ... the outside patio is shared with the Tiki Hut next store, and Ive seen their staff ask minors (with their parents) to go inside because of license laws forbid anyone under 21🤔

This place has some of the best coffee available in Palm Springs. Really liked coming here a lot and willing to give it a good rating, but havent been here for a long time because sadly, they seem to have cut their hours - even during regular times of the year they close at 3, in summer at 1.They are mega busy on weekends which is probably (wisely) most of their business focus. Wish they were open later, for sure....not too much open for those of us who want a coffee after work. But check them out if youre there early in the day!

Ernest coffee was the perfect place to hold our networking discussion. They have a nice open seating area, and offer outdoor patio. You will find all the espresso drinks of the big chains and brewed coffee. They dont have a large selection of bakery items, but its adequate for a snack with coffee. The blueberry scone I had was fresh and delicious and my husband enjoyed his croissant.

Terrible experience. They were out of pastries by 9:45 AM. They had no drinks for children. Only room to park one bike then they told us after we bought drinks that no children are allowed on the patio. Very very unwelcoming. place. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Cappuccino was great. And that’s it.Barista and stuff were rude. I don’t need extra politeness, but basically normal way speaking would be much better than shouting.Plus unpleasant situation with outside seating. We were told twice that we can set outside but left asap as we finish our drinks because it’s patio belong to nearest bar. It’s not relaxing at all.We’ll never come back and would not recommend it to our friends.

Probably the best coffee shop in Palm Springs. They brew Stumptown and its very smooth. Service can be hit or miss and the line can move very slowly. Often the internet is down. Nice seating inside and out. Parking can be hard to find nearby, no lot of its own. Donuts recommended.

Amazing coffee. Quality drinks that are hand crafted! The care that this team takes to prepare drinks is next level!!Its a shame that we could not have the whole experience, but it was comforting to know they were taking precaution by rearranging the store to flow really well as the line gets pretty long! Allowing for space between waiting people is very thoughtful given our current worldwide situation.My aunt was the one who I went to Palm Springs with to get away. It was really nice to create some memories with her! The friendly girl making my drinks, Shannon, and the other young lady that took my aunts order worked together to make sure not only our drinks were properly made, but that the drinks came out in sync with the line of people waiting. They seem to have it down to a science! Such a fun time and I will be back again!

Updating my review for my one of my favorite PS destinations.Great coffee and people. They brew Stumptown and brew it well. Strong and Hot and flavorful for cool PS mornings. The lemon latte is delicious! I had it hot. It was really smooth and well balanced with just the right level of lemon flavor. If you like lattes and lemon flavored desserts it’s a must try. Good paired with a glazed donut. The staff were really fun and welcoming. For some reason they thought I was a banker or a realitor, not sure why 🤔😂

Update: Hard swerve! They charged me $4.50 for an 8oz Americano. Inflation is bad but not a 50% markup.Do yourself a favor and go to another coffee shop.Best coffee and baristas you’ll find in PS. Fortunately, or unfortunately, they serve Stumptown so you know the roastery is legit. It has a nice south facing patio which is nice to warm up during those desert winter days. And if you’re adventurous, wander thru the best homes in PS in Las Palmas.

Very very cute place and my coffee was great. The register gal must have had a rude customer belt we arrived as she was somewhat short with us when my friend asked a simple question. I jumped in and made small talk and cracked a joke and that seemed to turn the register person around and and she was more fun then. Good looking pastries as well.

Try to come early because the fresh baked muffins, croissants, and scones are to die for. I cannot say enough good things about Ernest Coffee. The staff is very friendly and ordering is made easy. This is a very pet friendly place... honestly whats better than a place where everyone is welcome! 🌈 🐕 💕 There is a good amount of inside seating where you can choose from light and sunny or sit farther back in the room to have more of a phone/computer screen friendly less bright experience... There is one gender neutral bathroom which has always been clean on my many visits. Big plus is the out door fenced in covered patio with excellent views of the mountains. The patio has lots of sunny and shaded options. The cactus 🌵☀️😎 decor is lovely. I would say this is a dont miss especially if you crave a little night life because in the late afternoon they have a night club in the back.

This place has some intriguing flavor options and unique local atmosphere beyond the average coffee house. Their seasonal offering of Toffee Walnut Latte thoughtfully paired with almond milk is possibly the best coffee drink I have ever experienced with exceptionally rich yet smooth flavor and texture. Well worth my half hour drive to check it out; best find in the area so far. Looking forward to trying their other seasonal drinks on the board. You should. Highly recommended.

If they tell you they sell cold brew here, it’s a pack of lies. They sell “iced coffee cold brew”, which is basically “iced coffee”, which is basically a weak version of cold brew designed for people who can’t handle it. I found coffee bliss in the desert! Ernest Coffee is THE best coffee house in Palm Springs and serves Stumptown coffee. Having moved from Seattle two years ago, I was so happy to find Ernest and have been telling everyone to go. The pastries offered are also incredible and should not be missed! The crew is smiling and nice and the cafe is a comfortable place to hang and enjoy your beverage. Expect a line during the peak morning hours but it moves quickly and is so worth the wait.

Came here during Coachella week and got a dirty chai latte with oat milk - I was so surprised by how creamy and tasty and fulfilling it was! Definitely would come back and the only downside is that the line was pretty long. The staff were super nice and it was a very clean modern interior.

Super friendly staff, they were helpful with questions about the menu and baked goods. The line is long and decently distanced, and that actually leads to pretty quick turnaround on coffee orders because the orders are coming in more slowly. I tried the vanilla lavender iced latte and it tasted like melted coffee ice cream. I should have asked for it to be lightly sweetened. Ext time I think I’d just skip the flavors because it was really too much. I also got a croissant, and couldn’t resist trying the lavender lemonade because it was all made in house and because I figured I could use the hydration. The croissant was good, nothing special. The lemonade was fresh, and weirdly could have had more flavor and been a bit sweeter—they should have put some of the syrup from the coffee into the lemonade instead. There’s a little enclosed patio space for those who want to sit.

One of, if not THE Best Place to get coffee in Downtown Palm Springs. It has variety in its choices, the atmosphere is great! Such nice and kind people that truly know their coffee, and what truly sealed the deal was the bread. Ernest has some of the best bread and it surprised me when I had it, I never expect much when getting bread at a coffee shop but this time it truly shocked me! Under normal circumstances, I’d give this place 4 stars for their quality of espresso. However, a member of their staff was extremely disrespectful to us making us feel like unwelcome. This person was very nice to others customers (of certain ethnicities) — making me feel like she’s discriminating. Therefore, I’m giving them only one star. Certainly some employees need to be trained to treat people equally.

I love this place! Its cute and the coffee is amazing. Kudos on Stumptown Roasters by the way... one of the best espressos served and done right! Awesome people, reasonable prices and more importantly... amazing coffee, tea and pastries!Only thing I have noticed is that a couple of the employees can definitely be a little nicer but I understand the constant pressure of getting things done right and quickly... this little spot does tend to get a little busy. Coming from a retail background, I can understand the frustration being behind the counter but overall, they are always nice people.I place Ernest up near Augies and Lyft Coffee for some of my favorite brew spots.I guess my only complaint is the fact that there isnt much of a parking area... You kinda have to find a spot next to the street or behind the building, and if you are lucky... catch someone leaving and take the spot! So if you wanna step in, get there early and pray to the parking gods!

Went there this morning with my young daughter. The coffee and pasteries were good, but a bit overpriced. The shop faces East, and was very hot inside. Also, this is definitely not a place to bring your kids; the staff was great, but they seem to have designed the shop to discourage families with young children. Ill go back, but definitely not with the family, and probably avoid mornings in the summer.

Even before the pandemic, which theyve adapted well too by hosting the POC outside on their patio with misters. Visiting Palm Springs on a cross country drive and needed coffee! My sister found this place online and we drove over. Great customer service, excellent almond milk lattes, great atmosphere. Saw the tiki bar on the way to the bathroom and loved it. Wish we could have it again tomorrow morning!

They have delicious drinks, but when they get busy, the service is really slow. There was only 2 ladies working the Sunday rush, and one of them was texting on her phone for the first couple of minutes of us all waiting to order. Then, she started helping make drinks. It took probably about 10 minutes for her to turn around to take our order, and by that time, the line had gotten pretty long. Just be sure you are expecting a bit of a wait during their rush

The coffee is great however while I appreciate your effort to try and keep everyone safe, when your staff is making demands on where to stand and what to do and makes you feel on pins and needles, it doesn’t make for a warm and friendly atmosphere especially when you’re trying to enjoy your morning and have a cup of coffee.If that’s the case, which is totally understandable, why not set up a table by the front entrance and take orders there to avoid people walking in altogether to avoid such an awkward environment and experience for your patrons.

My 8 year old son and I went one morning for coffee and hot chocolate and enjoyed the experience. However when I stopped by later in the afternoon to get a coffee to go I was advised that I had to leave my son outside on the sidewalk because the shop was now a bar. Not wanting to leave him on the sidewalk I asked if he could stand just inside the door so I could keep an eye on him while waiting for my coffee. The woman at the counter said “no” and if I didn’t like it, I could leave. I happily left. It’s not worth drinking their coffee if you have to leave your child on the sidewalk!

The people here really helped me and my family out. We were stuck driving through in Palm Springs on our way back from CA to Phoenix, AZ with our AC out and our 3 kids with us. We couldnt drive because we had a 3 month old in the back and she was burning up. it was 110 degrees out. We had our car at a mechanic, and we were walking the streets of Palm Springs when we finally found this coffee shop to go into. While trying to cool everyone off and fanning our 3-month off with brochures we found in the coffee shop, the employees were offering us ice and tried to help as much as possible. This place is great for working on your laptop, catching up with a friend or chilling and doing some creative work on your iPad. Theres WiFi (obv) and the people who work there are nice, efficient and quick. The drinks can be a bit pricey (like $6), but if youre hanging out there for a while anyway and using the space, I think its worth it. Plus theyve got some cool summer drinks. I choose this place usually because its not super crowded and I can always find a seat within a few minutes, both indoors or outdoors.

I give Ernest Coffee 5 stars, when really they deserve so much more. My family and I had been traveling from Temecula back to Phoenix, when our A/C gave out just outside of Palm Springs. In a desperate attempt to fix it before our 4 hour travels in 103 degree heat, we dropped the car off at a mechanic. My husband, two young boys, 3 month old baby and I walked a mile in search of cooler refuge. Thats when we came into Ernest Coffee (looking like a hot mess, quite literally). We had every intention of ordering drinks, but first rested a moment to cool off the kids. The staff, concerned, immediately offered ice and cold water. The hospitality these employees (afternoon of July 1st) displayed was extraordinary-- and I now see why your business has such rave reviews. I regret not asking the two women who helped us what their names were- but please know that your place is being represented with the utmost standards of service/kindess. Thank you!!

Yesterday I witnessed two older couples coming in the exit to the shop and being reprimanded by staff. It was obvious they have never been to the shop before. They then proceeded to the front and were reprimanded for walking towards the front without going outside and coming around. While they were reviewing the posted menu one of them leaned against the a booth where people used to sit before the pandemic, they were again reprimanded for touching it. I felt very bad for these people it is not the way you treat customers. Fortunately the two couples exited without ordering. Customer service can go a long ways.
