If I could I would give 10 stars. I eat here at least once a month and the staff at the Aptos location are BEYOND friendly. They are so happy and welcoming!! The sandwiches are consistently fresh and tasty. They don’t charge extra for sprouts OR avocado (in fact they comes default on a lot of the sandwiches!)Honestly I wish it took them longer than the less than 5 minutes it usually takes to make the sandwich. It would give me more time to look at all the local historical images on the walls. Super fun to see the history of the area before taking your food out to the lovely outdoor seating.RESPECT YOUR PICKLE!! 😂😍

After dropping off the 7 Winklesticks and two boxes of Bluehanker Gobblygoons to Uutaacuss Coombaba the Sea Urchin diver from Uganda I was whipped. I think hes going to use those things to scrape the barnacles off his trawler, and I told him thats not what theyre designed for, but he just mumbled and made some popping noises like the Bantu tribesmen do. He paid me and I couldnt get out any faster. I made a beeline straight for Erics DeliCafe theyre the best on the coast.5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

We had just came from a hike in Nisene Marks State Park and it was cool to see some pictures from there on the walls. Food is always good here. We often visit the Eriks close to home so we knew wed like it here and we were not wrong. Its kinda hidden since its behind another store but easy to see the signs from the parking lot. Highly recommended.

On my way through the area I stopped by for lunch. Thought it might be a more artisan sandwich shop based on some of the sandwich photos. Upon entering and looking at the menu, its more of a mix, with sandwich, soup and salads. There isnt too much variety in their sandwiches compared to some other shops. The Dub Sub was good with a healthy portion of meat and produce. It just wasnt anything special unfortunately.

Easily one of my favorite place to eat. We grew up every summer coming out to Aptos to visit my grandma and this was always one of the places we hit every time and multiple times during each trip. Best sandwiches ive had and i love their secret goo sauce!

I love Eriks but maybe now NOT this location. Its Monday, no one was in there. I ask asked for a Pot of Tomato soup and a charlie cheese pocket. The guy asked, half or full cheese pocket, I said half because wasnt super hungry. He asked, if it was for me, I said yes. He said he cant sell me the cheese pocket because its a kids meal and Im not 12 and under. Really?!?! I replied, so you are not willing to sell me the cheese pocket? He replied no, not if its for you. I replied, so you will let me walk out the door because you wont sell me the cheese pocket? He said yes! So, I did just that, I walked out, NEVER to return. Business owners, when someone wants to give you their money make it easy for them to do so! Im sure the owner of this store will be upset about missing sales on a slow night, those $20 tickets add up.

New owners are fabulous! The new store is beautiful and very well organized, clean and spacious. The employees seemed upbeat and the sandwiches are wonderful. Ill be in here frequently as my work is one block away! Im so glad you guys are back open!

Erics has good sandwiches. I love the Del Monte Special. I like their breads. I particularly like the sprouts! Nice employees and they dont take long making my sandwich. They also have Dr. Pepper which is my drink😁

Had a great sandwich. Awesome decor, the historic pictures of the aptos area made me take my time and enjoy the experience. Other people probably agree. The line was out the door before I was done eating. BTW, I dont give 5 star unless it was truly a good time.

The people that work at this Eriks Deli are so accommodating. They always get the order right and show great customer service. The restaurant is clean, the food is good, and the atmosphere is really nice.

They have just remodeled Erics but it is in the same location. I dont understand why they waste money putting a new face on the same thing but I guess it attracts customers. To me its just a waste of money that could be used for other things. Ive always liked Eric and the sandwiches have always been good there. However my favorite in Santa Cruz County is the deli in Ben Lomond supermarket. But for a good, healthy sandwich Erics is a good place to go.

The new owner Carlos is a wonderful man. He is so humble and wants to get to know his customers by name. His portion size is larger than most Erik Delis that I have been to. He even knows how to make the old cruzen club sandwich. Im very excited to have finally found an excellent sandwich maker who knows his stuff.I have been going to this Eriks Deli since I was a freshman at Atos High back in 1977.

Very upset - DO NOT order online using the eriksdelicafe.com link. We have been ordering here instead of using Door Dash because we want to support the local store. We thought we were supporting the local franchise owner. Today, our order was WRONG - it was dripping Chinese food and 25% in value/size vs. what we ordered from Eriks (we almost thought to just accept the mistake and eat the Chinese food).When I called the # on the receipt, which is Eriks Aptos location, and explained the situation, the person on the food was adamant they do not do delivery service, and obviously, they dont sell Chinese food, so I must have ordered from Door Dash. I. DID. NOT!!!I ordered directly on the eriksdelicafe.com site. Its even linked on the Yelp page here.It turns out Eriks uses some service called Olo. But there is no way to contact Olo as a consumer and request a refund. The receipt actually says call the original store and has the stores number. We did, and were told we were crazy. Even the Olo help pages said to contact the original store. It makes no sense if this was a Door Dash service that they would make the consumer call the store. Olo is a third-party service, but its licensed by Eriks and Eriks is responsible for the screwed up door.Ive been tipping well each time weve ordered thinking it was an Eriks employee. Id ask for a refund, but theres nowhere to ask for it. They better not spit in my food next time when I escalate this issue!

One of the first Eriks Delis. This place makes great sandwiches and has that old school farm house style to it. Complete with a cast iron oven on display.Enjoy it while you can, Safeway Corp is slowly buying up the entire shopping center so that it can tear everything down and build a Mega-Safeway.

Ive been having lunch at Eriks since the 70s. Some good things stay the same even when the world keeps getting meaner, more expensive, and shallow. Eriks is partially hidden in the shopping center remodel, but its worth the exploration.

Let me start by saying that the list of what they DID have was shorter than what they were out of. OUT OF the sweet rolls for the sandwich we ordered, OUT OF sprouts, OUT OF coffee. Small sandwiches, mediocre food. WILL NOT be returning. I suggest you do the same.
