Since my selection of agents was contingent on these reviews, I felt compelled to write my own review of my experience with Eric. He seemed nice enough on the phone, but failed to prioritize my business. We had an apt to meet at my property I was planning to list with him. I drove over an hour and paid a sitter for my 3 month old just to meet up with him to view my land. He was late, so I called him only to be told that he had completely forgot about our apt and would be roughly 30 min late since he hadnt left yet.I need someone to prioritize me as a client, so I can not continue working with Eric. My time is also valuable and extremely limited. Shame.

We were so happy with our decision to have Eric Hatch act as our realtor to sell our dads house. From our first meeting with him, we felt so comfortable and confident that his expertise and experience in the area would be invaluable. He gave us great advice and recommendations, answered all of our questions, helped getting the house ready and before we knew it - it was SOLD!. Friendly, professional and supportive....couldnt ask for more.

We couldnt have asked for a better realtor than Eric! We have both sold and purchased homes with him now, and its always a pleasure to work with him. Eric has so much knowledge and experience in the field, and will give you honest and helpful guidance. He and his wife, Shannon, go way above and beyond to support you, and host many special events for their clients (like barbeques, cookie decorating and pedicures!) Do yourself a favor and go with him!!!

Eric Hatch provides excellent customer service with a full knowledge of the process. Even with the extra quirks that came up from the loan company for the property at 422 Dalton St, Grass Valley, he was proactive. Right when I had a question, it seemed a text would appear from Eric, answering the question! Always returns messages quickly and usually is available when calling.

I was very secure in my decision to have Eric Hatch act as our realtor to sell our house. From our first meeting with him, I knew that his expertise and experience in our area would be invaluable. He gave us advice and recommendations, patiently answered my questions and help steer our house from For Sale to “SOLD”. And all throughout, he was friendly, professional and supportive.

Eric Hatch is the absolutely best in the business when it comes to having a realtor who you can trust to do the right thing and either get you the home of your dreams or sell your home at the best possible price. There is a reason why he is the #1 realtor in his company. Its his combination of experience, knowledge, and wonderful personal appeal that translates into a person that truly cares for what I, as a buyer, needed to have on my team.My wife and I started the process of looking for a new home in late 2023. We started out thinking that we wanted to move to the North Bay Area of Sonoma County. We didnt realize that the homes we liked were out of our price range. We had friends in Auburn/Grass Valley/Nevada City, so we decided to look in those areas. I did a search for the realtor who was qualified, mature, and a long history with the area. Erics name stood out as one of the area specialists that we could count on.Since it was the winter months, inventory was down. We spent a lot of time looking online for just the right home. When we found a few that we liked, we called Eric up and he arranged for us to visit every one of them. It was through these visits that we got to know Eric more and learn about what type of home we definitely wanted and needed.Throughout the process of looking, Eric was always there, always answering his phone whenever I called. He gave us great advice about all the areas that we looked at. He knows the area intimately, so you can be sure that you are getting someone who can tell you the pros and cons of every community.Mostly, though, what I believe makes Eric successful is that he truly listens to his clients. He didnt try to fit us into a home. We had to find the home that fit with us. He provided us with the room to make our own decisions about what would work for us, and guidance as to how a home would probably meet our needs. Customer service is #1 with Eric!Ultimately, we didnt purchase a home with Eric because a dream home that we could afford popped up in Sonoma County. I know that if that home didnt show up when it did, we would have eventually found a wonderful home in Auburn. In fact, after we went into contract with our new home, a few inviting homes were listed in Auburn that we could easily have called home and which I know that Eric would have gotten one for us.Thank you Eric for being a great host and sharing your wisdom with us. We highly recommend Eric Hatch as the best person to help you buy/sell a home, no question about it!

Eric is an unscrupulous character. He doesn’t believe a real estate purchase agreement is intended to protect both parties — he views it as “buyer beware.” He thinks the burden should be on the buyer to do a CSI-type investigation to uncover any known issues with the house, rather than the seller simply disclosing said known issues. He also refuses to correct his clients when they make the assertion that either party can back out of a transaction after closing, based on the verification of property condition.Eric also violated CRA code of ethics by subtly hinting I should drop my own agent and use him.For more info, reference Nevada County court records SC #0000359.

Wonderful experience with Eric Hatch buying my first home. He was very patient and really listed to what I was looking for! He helped find the perfect house for me. Highly suggest him when you are buying/selling in Grass Valley, Nevada City, Auburn area.
