Love my assignment & my recruiter Alexis Dunbar! Compliance was easy & Alexis was by my side all the way. Even though we are many miles apart. She goes above & beyond in all she does. My rate is great & not those low ball offers I see elsewhere. If at all possible I will always go the Epic Travel Staffing & Alexis. I will be starting my very first assignment on the 29th. This was my first time working with a staffing agency being that I am new to travel work. I am so happy that I ended up choosing Epic Travel Staffing. The process was not only very smooth but my recruiter Danny Riccardi was wonderful. He was transparent, pro-active, eager to help, always has a positive attitude, efficient, and professional. He was always available when I had any questions or changes needed to my contract. I completed my first travel assignment in April of this year thanks to my amazing recruiter, Eliza Dawson. I’m eternally grateful for her because she treated me and fought for me like a human being and not just a number. She constantly checked in on me, sent me reminders, and the sweetestcare packages. She helped me see my strength during a time I needed a cheerleader. I honestly wish I could travel more, but I know if and when I do I’ll always come back to Eliza. Emerald Health Services has been my Travel Nurse Agency for a year now they helped me get my first travel nurse contract and my Recruiter Jeanine Duperron has been such an amazing recruiter helping me along the way which is a huge deal for me because I’m a first time traveler and I had no idea what to do or where to start . The staff at Emerald Health services in general has been amazing from Compliance making getting documents and test together and setting up my appointments to the licensing department making getting my California License an effortless experience to time keeping always sending me reminders about time cards and never missing a day . I’ve completed two assignments recently with Tricia as my recruiter and she has been amazing! Getting into travel nursing, there are so many opportunities and so many different companies to choose from and it can be very overwhelming. From my first conversation with my recruiter Melanie Gibson I had a strong feeling I would go with emerald. From the beginning Melanie has always been very professional and responsive and upfront and has always gone the extra mile for me!! She is amazing . I have been traveling with Emerald Health Services, which is now referred to as Epic Travel Staffing since 2020. I used to travel with 2 other different agencies, but I must say that Epic Travel Staffing (Emerald Health Services) is one of the best travel agencies out there. The main reason I continue to travel with this company is because of my exceptionally phenomenal recruiter, Michelle Villafuerte. She is the greatest recruiter and am truly grateful for her. Michelle not only want you to succeed, but consistently goes out of her way to ensure that you have everything you need for the travel assignment. For instance, she would check up on you to see how you’re doing, if there are any error on your pay check she would make sure to follow up and find out the issue, and if there are any problems with the contract she would make sure to follow up. She consistently answers your call and/or texts as soon as possible, and always goes above and beyond for her travelers. Never had an issue. Great rates and they send little gifts throughout the year which is sweet. I had a problem with a contract in 2020 and felt like the facility was unsafe. Emerald listened to my concerns and was very thorough. Did not give me a hard time about wanting to leave the facility much earlier than expected. My first travel contract was with a different company and that recruiter was fantastic to work with. However, his company no longer had contracts in the areas I was hoping to stay around. I didnt want to give him up as a recruiter because he was so great to work with.I spoke and texted with many different recruiters from all different companies and not one was helpful. I felt like each of them were excessively pushy and trying to act like a shady car salesman! If I wasnt interested in the job they thought I should go for they wouldnt text me back. One recruiter completely ghosted me and didnt text me back for 2 months and then asked me if they could help me find a new travel contract!A friend of mine recommended Lauren V of Emerald health. Lauren was a breath of fresh air! She is WONDERFUL to work with. She is patient and informative. She didnt once seem annoyed with any basic questions. I completed my assignment with Emerald in April. I liked the hospital and they loved having me. They wanted me to extend but for a couple reasons I was not able to do so.. The agency itself is fairly solid. However, what generally differentiates one agency from the next is your recruiter. Steve O was my recruiter. He is one of the least responsive and most self centered people Ive encountered in over a decade of travel. He is highly unprofessional and petty. He is always bad mouthing and lying to the travelers then telling them not to say anything. Despite the fact these other travelers are your coworkers and friends. His deceitful practices are everything that is wrong with a contact with an agency. Be forewarned. Emerald is fine as an agency, but if you are assigned Steve, refuse his services. Ask for one of the other more professional recruiters. Steve had himself in mind for your career. Not what is best for you or your interests.

I was a Telemetry RN with 3 years experience and am a creature of habit. I do not like any sort of change whatsoever so I was nervous jumping into the world that is travel nursing. I was referred to Emerald agency from a travel nursing friend and was referred to my current recruiter, Ronnie Lewis, who is now my ride or die.There are some criterias that I value when looking for an employer or an agency and that is respect, support, and transparency.I just remember the genuineness that Ronnie displayed when answering all my questions with no indication that he just wanted me to sign a contract to put money in their pockets. He always mentioned that I should talk everything out with my wife and respected my choice to include her input and never felt any sort of pressure to do an interview which I did not feel was a good match. I have been submitted to other positions/specialties in the past (at another travel agency which I will not mention)which I have been pressured to do the interview and it left a bad taste in my mouth in how I thought travel nursing was going to be like but that wasnt the case here.I actually had tested positive for COVID along with my wife towards the end of my contract. Ronnie had asked how my wife and I were handling everything and I just mentioned in passing that we have been doing a lot of Postmates/DoorDash. Then Ronnie tells me to check my email and I found out Emerald sent me a gift card to DoorDash for a very generous amount!Not only that, but when I got COVID, Emerald HR and Ronnie ensured I was still getting financially compensated while I was sick at home not working. The support from Emerald is world class and I am going to sign another contract with Emerald again along with a friend.
