I recently joined Epic Fitness Gym and I have to say, its been an incredible experience! The sense of community here is unmatched. The coaches and staff are so supportive, they really make you feel like part of the family. Epic is everything we wanted in a gym. Adam personally interacts with every one of his members, the classes are professional and challenging, while allowing the instructors to evaluate and observe everyone and help provide guidance and modifications if needed. I love that they expand to outside events which encourages people to sign up for events, knowing they have support.

Ive been coming to Epic Fitness once per week for the last 3 months since I started a new job in town. Being new at a gym can sometimes be very intimidating, but everyone is so welcoming and positive. The workouts are always slightly different which keeps it interesting and keeps my body guessing (and sore). I would recommend Epic Fitness to anyone looking to change up their workout routine. If I lived closer I would honestly go more often.

This place changed my life. I was searching for a place to work out that also had childcare for my little one. Little did i know id be getting some of the best workouts of my life and supportive friends to go along with it. Im genuinely sad when i have to miss a day. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming from day 1 and i feel like everyone is supporting each other. Every workout is truly EPIC. I cant say enough good things about this place.

This gym is amazing! The community is supportive, classes are fun, and the coaches are all knowledgeable. Ms. Caitlyn, the woman who does childcare, is so great with the kids. Idk who looks forward to going more, my daughter or me. She’s always begging to go! I highly recommend this gym for whether you’re just starting out, or advanced.

I can’t say enough about Epic Fitness and owner Adam Berezowsky. Adam has built a place of ideals. The value and genuine care for each and every individual.I was looking for a gym and had in mind something particular. More personal a place I could feel comfortable.I have been a gym rat my entire life, However when Covid came along everything stopped. I gained weight stopped all activities didn’t workout not even going for a walk, I became so self conscious. I desperately needed a change in my life.All that I was looking for I found at Epic Fitness!People call out my name when I arrive.Adam gives everyone hugs when he appears. Each individual he takes a personal interest in.We have all sorts of outside activities such as 5 & 10 Ks. Spartan is another. We had a after turkey day 2 hr workout.For Christmas Adam got a DJ, we had another long workout with all sorts of different types of workouts with a bunch of stations and a trainer at each one. It was a Blast!I am achieving my goals loosing weight and gaining strength.Full of enthusiasm and Happy!!!

I’ve been a member of EPIC for several years! There is no other gym like it around. The coaches are supportive and motivating and the members are all on their own fitness journeys and we all support and inspire each other. It’s what makes EPIC a special place. I love the classes and they are always coming up with new ways to challenge us! Now that they have open gym hours, if I can’t make it to a class i can still go in and do the workout of the day and stick to my fitness goals. BEST GYM EVER!

The classes are awesome! The structure of the classes allow all levels of fitness to participate. You can work at your own pace. The instructors are knowledgeable and pay attention to make sure you have the right form and get the most out of your efforts. I have been recommending and talking about Epic since I joined in March. I have always loved guided workouts, but man do these classes leave you sore!! Adam and the group of trainers are all so friendly, welcoming and awesome! They have really created an environment welcoming of fitness levels. The strength, cycling and grit classes will have you walking out dripping in sweat and feeling so accomplished. We’ve been tracking our nutrition to get my boyfriend and I to our fitness goals. We’ve noticed our bodies changing and our endurance getting stronger with each week. You will not regret joining this gym! Be ready to be welcomed and become Epic!

EPIC Fitness is by far the best gym Ive ever experienced. They offer a wide array of workouts, including strength, spinning, yoga, running and training for Spartan events. The fitness classes are addictive, as evidenced by the fact that Ive been a member for 12 years. Adam (the owner) treats you like youre part of his family- he genuinely cares about your well-being. If youre the type who prefers a solitary workout and being left alone- this is NOT the gym for you. If, on the other hand, you enjoy having fun and working out with people who will motivate and support you to be the most fit and healthy person you can be- then THIS is the place for you.

Epic Fitness is a great gym located in Simi Valley. They offer many group workouts for all fitness levels. They also have open-gym, spin cycling, yoga, and obstacle course racing type workouts. If you are looking to lose weight or improve your fitness level this gym is definitely a good fit. The staff is very friendly, and there is a great camaraderie amongst the members. I’ve been coming to Epic Fitness since 2014. I started here I was 179 pounds, never lifted weights or ran. Since joining here I have done many marathons and Ragnars and Spartans. Since joining, I’m down 29 pounds. Epic Fitness has helped me to get my nutrition on point and encouraged me to accomplish many goals. I love the feeling here when you come in. You are welcomed and everyone makes you feel like you a part of a family. If you are looking for a place that’s more than a gym, then Epic Fitness is the place. I have been going to Epic for over 7 years and I can honestly say this is the only gym I have belonged to that I consistently attend. All of the instructors are awesome so I never have to rely on going on certain days or times just to get the workout I want. It’s never boring and the time flies! For years I failed to keep up with the discipline of lifting at Golds. I join Epic to try something new and I am finally on track with goals. Epic has a very friendly Staff and Coaches. They will reach out if they haven’t seen you in over a week. Nothing is routine so it never gets boring. For me, at 55 I can’t do every exercise so the coaches will come up with different one. There’s no drill sergeant making you do anything that is over your head. The coaches get familiar your ability and will only push when they know you ready.

Epic is not just a gym….the coaches care about our journey and take the time to answer questions and help you, especially if you’re new to the fitness world. It’s run by a guy (Adam) who leads by example and is constantly looking for ways to give back to the community. It offers a variety of coach lead classes from spin to strength and cardio which I love or you can go solo during open gym too. UPDATE (May 2023): I still love Epic Fitness 💕. I recently participated in their Half Marathon, and while the training was grueling, the support I received from the Epic Tribe community was amazing! The facilities have improved, with strength equipment on the floor and open hours during the day. You can’t go wrong with Epic!*******I have been a member since Nov 2017. More recently I participated in their 8-Week Transformation Challenge. Theres one week to go, and I have lost over 9 total inches! But more than the results, Epic is a gym like no other - a sense of community, support from the coaches/trainers, and classes that are always interesting, unique, and tough! Forget about those other franchise gyms - Epic is doing it right! Highly recommended!

I am just about done with my 6 week challenge and I am very very happy with the results thus far. Diet has always been the hardest part for me but they made it so much easier that I was actually able to do well and it made a huge difference. I can’t say enough, how much I love Epic Fitness! I love their classes and their coaches. I have been faced with some injuries this last year, which kept me out of the gym more than I would have liked. Through my experience, I know how much the coaches truly care about their clients, as was evident through the regular text messages to check up on me. They are so encouraging and motivating and without them, I don’t think I would have participated in my first Spartan sprint, sprained ankle and all! I joined Epic back in 2011 when my wife and I were getting married, in the 2 months that we were working out at epic we hit our goals we had set for our wedding, fast forward a few years my wife and I wanted a change in our health and fitness, since we had such a great experience at epic the first time around we knew exactly where to started. At epic fitness it truly feels like a family everyone is welcoming and encouraging, the coaches at epic will push you but will also give you a hand when you are struggling. The owners at epic are the two most inspiring and toughest people I know, they will do anything for their clients from sitting and chatting about your goals to running a marathon with you, they go above and beyond to support their tribe.

After running a marathon last October, I couldnt get motivated to keep training. With running goals for later this year, I new I needed strength training and simply motivation to get moving again. So I signed up for Epics 6-week Challenge. Im completely hooked on the workouts and the amazing impact they have had. Im so much stronger, running faster with less mileage, and feel better overall. The coaches are all amazing, and all the members are also great and encouraging. I look forward to going every day. Despite the challenge ending, I will continue to be a regular there several days a week. I just had a couple friends try it, and they joined immediately. I just finished a 6 week weight loss challenge at Epic Fitness. This place is so amazing in that you feel like you’ve joined a family instead of a traditional gym. All of the trainers are so encouraging and really keep you motivated. They really care about your success. The workouts are very challenging, but the trainers are always there to help you modify each exercise if they seem to difficult. The meal plan is easy to follow with plenty of options and good recipes to keep it interesting. I’ve been so happy with my progress, and I’ve gained back muscle that I haven’t seen in years. I was fortunate enough to have found Epic fitness 8 weeks ago. I joined one of their fitness challenges. Epic is not like most gyms. The coaches are all very knowledgeable and able to help modify any workout depending on fitness level or injuries. The coaches are there to help you achieve the goals you set for yourself. The coaching doesnt end when they lock the doors at night. Kaitlyn and Adam are always organizing activities and events outside of the gym. They also take time out of their own day to come cheer on and support their members during different races and triathlons. It truly is an Epic tribe. My husband and I love working out at Epic Fitness in Simi Valley. The instructors are always so motivating especially during the 5:30am classes when we need it most. The environment of this gym is fun and all the people that workout with us are friendly and encourage us to push ourselves. Best class is the Epic Strong class because no work out is ever the same so we never get bored or stuck in a routine. The classes are very unique and unlike anything I’ve tried before. I’ve joined all the trendy gyms: Orange Theory, Barry’s Boot camp, Pure Barre, Speed Play, Equinox, David Barton and this is the only gym that I’ve actually stayed consistent with. We highly recommend joining this gym!!

I joined Epic Fitness first as part of a 6 week challenge. I went in with every intention of doing the challenge and then going on with my life as it was before. I quickly realized that probably wasn’t going to happen. The workouts are different every time you go, which makes each one interesting. The coaches are awesome and everyone working there makes an effort to get to know you. I can’t imagine not continuing my journey with Epic. Adam and Kaitlin are great and they have built an amazing place to be. If you’re on the fence about trying it out, I think you should go for it!

I joined Epic Fitness when they were offering their 6 Week Challenge. After getting used to doing the class style workouts, I was hooked. The trainers are very motivating, helpful, and friendly as are all the members there. I feel I have made some new friends. I have taken the Thursday yoga classes with Kim, as well as the Wednesday Track club with Abi and Nick.They offer a Saturday run club that is the perfect start to the weekend. This is the only gym I have consistently attended (out of many) in my 33 year quest to get fit. My goal was to get in shape by the time I turned 50 and Epic Fitness was the missing ingredient. I can even climb the rope!!

I just joined Epic a couple of months ago. I was bored with my other gym. I was pretty much on my own unless I wanted to pay extra for a personal trainer. Epic is loads of fun! Each work out is something new and exciting. The staff is supportive and energetic without extra fees. I am able to meet one on one each week with someone, weigh in, and talk about how I am progressing. Again this is with no extra fees. I am already seeing results. I am new to Epic and in the final week of the 6 Week Challenge. I have tried going to gyms before, but never have I seen such a culture that only supports, helps keep you on track, motivates, and personalizes your experience. The owners and their team of coaches have done an amazing job honing this culture that really cannot be touched by any other fitness experience I have had. The experience encompasses working out, nutriton and accountability in a motivating, fun, welcoming, positive, team environment where not only the coaches, but all of their members lift each other up. I have never been comfortable in a gym setting because I didn’t know what exercises to do, how to use the equipment, or how to build a workout plan. EPIC changed ALL OF THAT! September 2018 I had back surgery. Since then Id always find an excuse not to get back in the gym. Not sure what the surgery had to do with eating very dam thing, but thats another story. Fast forward to August and I saw Epics Facebook ad. I tagged my wife and we both decided to give the Epic 6 week challenge a try. We looked into a couple other places, but the owners at Epic were great and always encouraging.Let me tell you that first couple weeks was challenging! I was using muscles that havent been active in awhile. The instructors were always positive and encouraging. Recommending alternate exercises when doing some things I didnt feel my body was ready for; However, over time I was able to do all the exercises. Now that my 6 week challenge is complete I feel great! I actually won. Down 20.6 lbs and Im officially back in the gym. What more could I ask for. They are a tribe that welcomes new comers with open arms, and I don’t mean just the coaches. I have signed up and attempted workouts at othe gyms in the past and I always end up leaving. I will openly admit that I dislike exercise, I will have self motivation for the first few weeks and then maybe for the first few minutes of a workout after that. My husband & I started at Epic Fitness in January 2018 when we joined an 8wk challenge. We didnt know what to expect since we always went to 24 hour fitness. I can tell you it has been an amazing journey for both of us. They offer so much in the challenge and support you 100% throughout the entire process. Ive been attending Epic Fitness now for over 2 years. When I first started I was overweight and had a tough time getting through the classes. The good news is, the classes are challenging, but really fun so I kept coming back. In my first year I lost 60 pounds and became a runner. I have now run two half marathons and Im not sure how many 5k and 10ks. The people that go all support each other and we have a great time while exercising. Adam (the owner) is an amazing trainer and coach. He supports you in the class as well as outside the class. He encourages and challenges you. The difference between this place and every other fitness place that Ive been to is that Adam truly cares about you and your success. He takes it personally. UPDATED I started at EPIC Fitness late last year, I have changed both physically and mentally with the support of an amazing coaching staff and the constant encouragement of all members of the EPIC TRIBE I have reached goals and now strive to conquer more goals by the end of the year. I have lost lbs, inches, and fat %. Gained muscle, strength and confidence. Completed my first SPARTAN Race and plan to do another at the end of the year. I cant say enough great things about this place.EPIC FITNESS does not disappoint! This fitness facility is more than a gym or boot camp, there is something for every age, level or body type. The support and encouragement is 2nd to none. October 2017 Adam saw me walking on my lunch hour past EPIC never stopping in just passing by.....he messaged me to come talk to him. I did! Agreed to give it a month and have never looked back! Within a couple months through vacations and holiday season, I dropped 13 lbs, 10 inches and 3% body fat, gained 3 lbs of muscle and have never felt better or stronger. I have just completed the Epic 6-week challenge. The weight loss (25 pounds) was a motivating factor, but more importantly was the transformation and change that came with a new mindset in how I approach nutrition and eating habits. I’ve been at Epic for a year and a half and I was already exercising 3-4 times a week with no noticeable change in my weight or conditioning. The 6-week challenge providing the meal plan, the coaching, the encouragement, along with exercising yielded significant results. The key: hold to the plan, it’s that simple. Listen to the advice and coaching you receive from the staff, do not view this as a quick fix, but as a life style change. Know you are not alone; not only did I received valuable wise advice from the Epic staff, but multiple unsolicited words of encouragement from other Epic tribe members who were able to see the change. On a personal note: I have never been able to perform a Bosu roll-up/sit-up without either using my hands to push myself up, or a 15-pound slam ball to counter balance myself. Not any more, last week and hands free, I was able to do a roll-up/sit up with no assistance. A small victory, but again, solid evidence of growth and change. A huge thank you to Adam and Katlin and the rest of the Epic Tribe.

I just completed the 6 week EPIC fitness challenge and I am so excited that I met my goal! Completing this program has given me several non scale achievements like wearing clothes I haven’t been able to wear in over 3 years and completing a full set of box jumps and burpees without stopping! I was visiting from out of town with my girlfriend for the week and needed a place to get a good workout in. This gym was super welcoming to us. It was a really clean and tidy gym layout. I also found the programming was really adaptable and to be friendly for all age and fitness levels. I saw my friend’s posts about this new gym that he started going to so I was curious since I saw his successful body transformation! I walked into Epic Fitness and spoke to Jane and the connection I felt along with the wealth of information she shared, I naturally signed up for the 6 week challenge (loss of 20lbs or 5% body fat). I went to the 5:30am class every day. Who in their right mind would choose to exercise when it’s dark out?! Insanely, that was me because of transportation limitations but it turned out positively since not only was it a great way to start the day but I also got to meet awesome workout friends! Their classes consist of different cardio/strength moves that leave you dripping in sweat but strong and exhilarated!!! Even though I was there 6 days a week for 6 weeks, workouts were always new, challenging & FUN!!! Different types of classes are taught by Adam & Kaitlin (owners as well as coaches), Abi, Wendy & Roger. They’re encouraging, personable, and would instruct you accordingly to get the most from the workouts and not risk injury. Proper nutrition is first and foremost! They provide you with guidelines and even though it seemed strict, boring, & not enough food, especially from someone who eats junk all the time, it ended up tasting good, enjoyable & made me feel nourished & full (but not grossed out overeat kind of full). Trust them when they say, “Trust the process!” Adam & Kaitlin are all about community so coaches and members get together outside of class such as picnic in the park, 5Ks, Spartans, etc. If you want EPIC coaches, EPIC workouts…EPIC FITNESS IS IT!!! It has been an interesting experience at Epic. I have never belonged to a boot camp, only regular gyms like 24 Hr Fitness. The first three weeks were pretty tough and I was out of breath a lot, but soon after my body adjusted and I have been going every week, five days a week. I am shocked by the muscle definition and growth I have achieved in such a short time (2 months) .I have never been this cut and my results are what keep me going back. I like how Adam, the owner, is there every day, pumps us up, and never repeats the same workout routine. Plus, you dont just go and leave and thats it. The relationships in this gym go way past that. We run races together (half marathons, etc), help each other hit our goals. There is nothing I can say that is bad about this place. If you have ever had trouble sticking to a routine like me, this might be your place. FYI, I drive 20 miles there and 20 miles back to go this gym (Westlake to Simi Valley). Definitely worth the trip.

They have put together the perfect recipe for success and after 3 weeks we were hooked and wanting more.Now for the long one!My husband and I joined the Epic 6 week Challenge and it was important to me that I write this review prior to our final weigh in. Regardless to what the scale says I know that we have both WON this challenge! 6 weeks ago my husband brought me into Epic to meet with Kaitlin, I sat on the couch listening to her describe the challenge thinking that there was no way I’d be able to make the necessary changes to succeed. I sat there feeling broken, my anxiety was at an all time high and our stress level was off the charts (Our son is fighting leukemia). My husband made the executive decision that we were doing it and we signed contract on the spot.Our first class was on a Monday and no joke I was positive that the 10 minute warm up was going to kill me but it didn’t and I survived. I was unable to do a burpee, I was unable to do a box jump, I was unable to do a push up. We made it 3 times the 1st week, our bodies were sore and detoxing from sugar and processed food was making me crazy but we made it. We sat down with Chris (nutrition coach) and learned more about the delicious shakes he made and quickly became obsessed with Herbalife products. (I’ve tried almost every shake out there and these were the very best, in our opinion). I look so forward to my 2 shakes a day, they really helped me through my sugar/snack addiction. We made sure to get our shopping and food prep done each Sunday and Thursday, always having protein and veggies readily available. We enjoyed the recipes in our book and had fun playing with different seasonings. By the end of week 2 we were enjoying the food and already feeling change.As the weeks went on the workouts became enjoyable (I can’t believe I just said that!). Always pushing ourselves to make that hour truly count. Wendy, Abi and Roger (coaches) are phenomenal and beyond encouraging. If modifications needed to be made, they were always right there to help, never judged you and never made you feel inadequate. In fact everyone that was there working out, regardless to what class we were doing came in all different body types and all different ages. Never once did I feel like we were at the wrong place or feel uncomfortable. The tribe is truly Epic!Which brings me to Adam, Kaitlin and their beautiful daughter, the owners of Epic; they are amazing people, they truly enjoy changing people’s lives and they absolutely love the Tribe that they’ve created. I’ve never met two people that were so hands on in every aspect of their business. Their smiles, positivity and energy are contagious and they make it a point to say hello to every member each day! We look forward to walking through the door, wondering what crazy workout will be on the white board, knowing that for that next hour we will be surrounded by Epic people.For 6 weeks we didn’t have any processed food, sugar or alcohol and more importantly for the first time ever not one cheat taste or meal. We did the Epic Strong workouts 3-4 times a week. I’m now able to do box jumps, burpees and push ups. New goals have been set! We genuinely love all of our new healthy foods and continue to meal prep. I’ve learned how to channel my stress and anxiety into my workouts. I have energy throughout the day & my meals have become more about fueling my body instead of just eating to eat. For the first time in my life, I don’t care about what the scale says! The best gym in Simi Valley. I tried several gyms in Simi, Moorpark and Thousand Oaks. This place is by far my favorite.They have various classes (boot camp style, cycling, HIIT, spartan training, etc.). What I love most about this gym is each workout I go to is different from the last. If you go 4-5 times a week you get a full body workout. They provide guidance on proper nutrition and each trainer is great. The trainers modify their workouts to match your current fitness level. When I first started at Epic Fitness, I was intimidated, out of shape and out of my comfort zone. My ab muscles were so weak from having two babies back to back, I couldn’t even do a single sit-up.Thankfully, this place is run by people who are so warm, welcoming and uplifting that they gave me the confidence to believe I could make it through their work outs, even though it was a struggle in the beginning!It’s now been a year since I joined and at 33, I’m in the best shape of my life! In the last 6 months however I had been traveling a lot for work so I hadnt consistenly worked out and lets just say i was eating whatever i wanted. I was at first skeptical when I saw the “free” six weeks challenge, and thought that it’s either a con, or if not, I would not be able to complete it. At 56 years, I already had a major heart attack and my knees were starting to ache. I also consistently gained weight for the past few years despite trying various gyms, workouts and diet. But accepting the challenge and joining Epic Fitness turned out to be one of the best decisions I made as far as my health is concerned. I was able to shape up quickly, shed 14 pounds off my belly, met new friends and have fun at the same time.The key factors to the success of this program are accountability, the awesome workouts, nutrition, and constant motivation and encouragement not only from Adam and Kaitlyn (the ever energetic and smiling owners) but from our amazing coaches (Wendy, Roger, Tyler, Carol & Abi) and members as well. There is a weekly weigh in, coaching, and monitoring of compliance to the nutrition plan and workouts. But none of these would matter if one is not committed and held accountable for not complying with the minimum requirements of the 6-week program.The workout sessions are not your typical gym routines where you go on a machine or treadmill and follow certain routine exercises and calisthenics. Instead, it’s a total body workout, where you run on an actual trail and stimulate almost every muscle of your body. There are probably at least 10 different exercises in each session that will focus on the legs, arms and core. No session is ever the same. On my first day, I could not hang 10 seconds on the monkey bars, but on my last week, I was able to do the whole span like I did in grade school. Seeing other members do the workouts with gusto is an excellent motivator and the great thing is that the coaches will always help modify the workouts depending on one’s physical condition (I would still recommend consulting a doctor before doing any rigorous physical exercises).The nutrition plan is the one that I found most surprising. It is not a diet, but rather a balanced diet where you are required to eat full meals but with the right kind of nutrients to fuel your body. The foods are delicious, very easy to prepare and light on the budget. And Chris taught me how to make these delightful HB protein smoothies, which have now become part of my regular snacks. If there is a new skill set that I learned, it’s my new cooking skills, which also made my wife very happy since she also started eating and liking the food that I prepare.I would highly encourage everyone who wants to improve their health and physical fitness to try the 6-week challenge at Epic Fitness. It is not simply a gym, but a tribe and a community. My 6-week journey has not ended. It was just a beginning of more challenges ahead, better health, more pounds to lose, and lots of sweaty fun!!

Simply the best, most effective, massively supportive fitness center around. There are so many positive things I can say about Epic, but I’ll just pick a couple that are especially important to me. First, I really like the ability to use MyZone monitors. For me, it’s important to be competitive with myself - to push myself to work as hard as I can - without comparing the end result to other, better athletes (which would be pretty much everyone around me). Unlike a whiteboard situation (*cough*CrossFit*cough*), tracking your MyZone effort in real time and historically really allows you to compare yourself to how you did yesterday or two months ago, rather than comparing yourself to others around you as well. This might not be a big deal to some people, but for me it’s helpful to keep me from getting discouraged. Second, the ENTIRE tribe is friendly and supportive, and I think we all take our cue for that from the amazing owners, and all the other trainers. If you’re going to get your a** kicked (and you definitely ARE, in a good way), it’s awesome to be surrounded by super positive, knowledgeable, and friendly people while you try not to drown in a pool of your own sweat. Sorry, that was gross. But seriously - great workout, great environment. Couldn’t ask for better!

I saw an ad for six weeks challenge at epic fitness. I’m not really sure why I decided to do it other than the fact that I needed to get in shape. When I started I could not even do three push-ups, I couldn’t hold a plank for more than 10 seconds. I have struggled with workouts for the last 10 years because I have reflexive some pathic dystrophy in my right thigh. I saw these workouts and my first thought was “I’ll never be able to do this. “Kaitlin is an awesome motivator, and she encouraged me to keep coming back and that I could do it. The trainers are phenomenal, but I love Wendy and Roger the most. Their workouts are not easy, and there are some things I cannot do (yet), but they were there for me and helped me with modifications. Abi is awesome as well. I shared a “Celebratory Moment” with her - I didn’t think I could military press 45 pounds, but I tried and I did it. I can now hold my planks for nearly a minute, I can do 12 push-ups and a number of other things I thought I would never be able to do.Aside from the great trainers, and Kaitlin the motivator, this is more than just a gym – it is a tribe. When I first heard them say this at epic, I thought it was kind of corny. But once you get to know the people and you feel the non-judgements energy, you begin to realize that it truly is a tribe mentality. The staff at epic have truly created an amazing culture.My 10 and an 11-year-old have even started going to the gym twice a week. And they love it.Thank you to all the staff at epic fitness because you have change my mind about gyms. I love it there and if you try epic fitness I’m sure he’ll love it too.

This place is awesome! I was in desperate need of a program to kick start my weight loss of goal of 50+ pounds and the 6 weeks challenge with EPIC gave me the tools and encouragement to start with a 13lbs drop and a pant size lost. The environment is super friendly and the coaches work with you to push you further or modify the exercises. Worth the 6 week challenge!

My time at Epic has been nothing short of AMAZING!Doing the initial consultation and learning the parameters of the program I was a little apprehensive as to my ability to remember to eat all of the food and stick to the plan. It required me to give up some of my favorite foods and libations (but as they assured me only for 6 weeks). I found the best way to do it was to just cut it out completely. Being a creative individual I was able to find and edit recipes so I still had a lot of my favorite flavors and new favorite meals I created. Cooking wise, my cast iron skillet and blender became my very best friends. And with the variety and variations on foods now a days you really dont miss much of anything at all if youre creative enough, if not, theres always the recipe book and the internet. They do tell you that meal prep is a key to success and for a lot of people that works. For me I was able to work recipes that I could make a meal in 10 minutes or less if I needed to.Walking in for my first workout seemed overwhelming at the beginning but the coach explained each area in detail and included modifications for anything that couldnt be done regularly. I used a few as it was my first time back in a fitness location after both knee and shoulder surgeries. I will attest that if you do it right the only soreness you feel is muscular and not joint which was fantastic. Fair warning that the first week you may be negotiating how badly you want to sit down for things as your body reminds you of those long hidden muscle groups, but after that its a breeze if you have the goals and willpower. You will find yourself surrounded with support from day 1; not only from the coaches but from your peers who are in it for the same reasons you are. When you think you cant do it again youll have someone notice and tell you that You got this! or the fun and random high fives throughout the workout period. The energy of the entire staff is INCREDIBLE and you can tell they enjoy what they do! That makes a real difference in the overall experience! Adam ALWAYS comes in full of energy and smiles with high fives and hugs for everyone! Make sure to get at least one sweaty selfie with him, he loves them! Kaitlin is so supportive and loving knowing EXACTLY what we ladies are going through. Dont get me wrong, they are real with you when they need to be but its only because they want the best out of YOU as an INDIVIDUAL and not a group statistic. DO NOT forget to try the shake bar run by Chris they are DELICIOUS and the perfect treat to a workout!Being creative my ability to be bored is heightened so traditional gyms and workouts loose my interest in less than a month. I can happily say I was NEVER bored at Epic. The variety of classes and scheduling is fantastic! Theres even a 30 minute class for those who dont have a lot of time. My 10 year old daughter LOVED the Kids Tribe classes, that she too while I conveniently took the 30 minute HIIT class. IT ALL PAID OFF I lost 25 pounds in 6 weeks and feel AMAZING!And again all of the coaches, Adam and Kaitlin are there to help you too! If you see me Im always willing to share recipes or just to talk!

For years I fealt like I as if I wasnt able to join a gym like Epic due knee injuries from playing soccer. One day I saw an advertisement through Facebook and from there i decided to make a change in my life not only to accept their challenge but to challenge myself and get the confidence I once had to push myself to a certain level. Going thru the 6 week challenge was one of the best decisions I ever made. Epic not only helped me prepare meals to have better healthy diet but they also stuck with me and gave me support every step of the way of the way during the workouts. I have now come to the end of my 6-week Challenge. It has flown by! I saw the EPIC Fitness 6 Week Challenge Advertisement on Facebook and decided I didn’t have anything to lose so I made an appointment and went and listened to what it was all about. I listened to Kaitlin and it sounded amazing, but the initial investment/down payment was what initially stopped me. As I sat there and gave reasons why I couldn’t spend that kind of money on ME, Kaitlin asked me, “do you mind me asking what you do for yourself”? I rattled off things I do for my kids and activities I enjoy doing with my husband, but nothing for JUST ME. I told Kaitlin I would have to think about it more. I left and could not get that question out of my head. WHAT DO YOU DO FOR YOURSELF made the difference for me. I texted Kaitlin the next day and said I was in. I took my money I had been saving for something materialistic and invested in me. I am so very happy with my decision, but it wasn’t easy!My first class was a 30 minute HITT class. I thought 30 minutes can’t be too difficult a place to start. I was panting like a dog! In other gym settings I would feel embarrassed and defeated, however at EPIC I never feel self-conscious because there is always a smile from someone, a high 5, a hand to help you up when you need help/support, or an enthusiastic coach asking how they can assist you in form or modification. EPIC is like a family only after 6 weeks; it is a community of wonderful people (younger, older, out of shape, in shape) all with differing fitness goals. I never thought I would say I look forward to each workout, but I seriously do. Each workout is different than the next. I am never bored, but challenged in a mental and physical way. When I leave, I leave with a real sense of accomplishment like when I flipped tires across the parking lot or pushed a heavy metal cart across the gym.The coaches at EPIC are phenomenal. The coaches: Wendy, Roger, Abi, and Carol are inspiring, motivating, fun, supportive, encouraging, and energetic. They are truly knowledgeable; each workout is different and I am working muscles I never thought I had. The owners of EPIC Fitness Adam and Kaitlin are visible at the center. They teach classes, greet you by name, and genuinely care about your goals as well as take a personal approach in assisting you in reaching them. Chris is the Health Coach and can make a mean smoothie which tricks you into thinking you’re having a milk shake.I have learned a lot during my 6-week journey. I have come away with a love of exercise, lost weight in pounds, lost body fat, gained significant muscle, gained endurance, and have learned the value of meal planning and prepping. I feel great! I have motivated my husband to join me and now we are both members at EPIC Fitness. Thanks EPIC Fitness!!

I am very fortunate to have found this gym. I was weight lifting with minimal cardio for a year and was really missing a community. This gym has amazing classes that focus on weights, cardio, endurance, spartan obstacle course, spin, trx, and running classes to help get you in the best shape possible. If that is not enough they have challenges to help focus on nutrition and fun and a fuel bar for smoothies after your workouts. The owners are husband and wife and are two of the most inspiring people who conquer great goals and are there fro you. A must see gym .

This is an astonishingly good little local gym. I signed up for a six week challenge for motivation (I wanted to lose 20 lbs.) and I had heard great things about Adam and Kaitlin, the owners. The accountability was a key. It’s hard to cheat when you’re jumping on the fat-boy scales for a checked weigh in on Monday morning. The even have a “Scale Jail,” where you can drop your own scales’ so you’re not checking your weight every three hours (who would do THAT, right? ). The diet plan for me, a vegetarian, was superb and the weekly weigh-ins were super crucial to the process. Wendy Littge, our beloved fitness teacher from the much missed Oakridge Fitness Club (now Crunch) had moved over to Epic and had long spoken highly of it. Needless to say a lot of our former workout buddies were there too and all raved. It did not disappoint.If you’re into the kind of workout where you putz around, do some weights and listen to music on your headphones (me a month or so ago) then this is probably NOT the gym for you. If you want support, motivation, great teachers, and wonderful facilities with hard core cardio\strength sessions then step forward. The teachers are ever-present, supportive and guiding. They actually remember you injured your back several years ago and suggest workaround exercises BEFORE you have to ask. They’re present, helpful and wonderfully supportive. I can’t speak highly enough of Adam, Kaitlin, Wendy, Abi, and Roger at Epic Fitness. It’s my new go-to gym\fitness club.Cons? There may be TOO many workout options\configurations for my taste (they boast about never doing the same workout session twice) and I sometimes have trouble remembering what exercise is coming up and how to do it; parking is often “challenging” and there ain’t no shower sweaty Betty but these are minor quibbles in what, in my opinion, is the finest gym in Simi Valley, maybe LA.And yes, I DID achieve my 6-week challenge.
