My bestie and I went to Emerald Desert RV Resort and stayed in the Allegro Villa #2. When we arrived, we called the front desk to get the code to the entrance gate. We checked and followed the map to our villa. Our room was gorgeous. It was clean, smelled good, and the air conditioning was on, so it was a great transition from the heat outside. Every single staff member we came in contact with from management to the landscapers were all the friendliest and most helpful people. We rode our e-scooters everywhere. On a trip back from the store, my friend hit a patch of gravel and took most of the skin off her knees. When one of the staff members saw us sitting on our patio cleaning my friends knees, they went and got the emergency kit to help her out. They definitely earned our loyalty, and we are adding Emerald Desert RV Resort to our yearly vacation. They have a lot to offer, 2 pools, a gym, a dog park, tennis & pickleball courts, a pool table, washers & dryers and a lot more.

Nice R.V. park. Lots of shade trees. Decent pool although the pool and grounds have not seen the upkeep that they have had in the past. Not bad but the pool doesnt get cleaned out often enough and the grass and tree limbs arent taken care of like it used to.We still love it here and the location is pretty good for the valley! Well be back!

Dont waste your time and money. Visited a few times now, and will not be going back again for a few reasons, mostly due to unfair business practice by new management, and reading reviews looks like I am not the only one. If you reserve a spot you BETTER end up going, because if you dont they will keep all your money up front and then try to rebook the spot they refuse to reimburse you for, will say its your fault because you booked when they were having a sale. We booked months in advance, then attempted to cancel over 1 week before we were scheduled to stay (well within cancellation policy timeframe) due to an emergency surgery. Was bluntly refused any reimbursement whatsoever, refused to work with us in any regard. After the first phone exchange, we called back to make sure we at least got to keep the spot if they refused to refund us, but sure enough they had cancelled our reservation, they were trying to book the spot again to another customer AND keep all our money! After finally giving our spot back to us (that we paid for), they then called multiple times a day to see if we still planned on coming, probably to try and cancel us again.The previous times we visited, can confirm the pool is always green and murky as other reviewers mentioned, so dont plan on swimming. Trains and Planes are loud and close to the resort as other reviewers stated. Ride share cars have to wait outside the gate, so hope you dont mind walking across the entire resort. All in all was never really impressed, but gave it a few chances. Much better options out there.

We booked a weekend with our two children. Checked in on Friday and checked out on Sunday. Saturday was our family day to hang by the pool and enjoy our time there. Your main, big, family pool was closed from 12pm-8 for a Luau event ($50 per person). When I booked this trip there was no mention of this. When I checked in on Friday, no one mentioned this to me. On Saturday, after discovering your main pool was closed by reading the signs on your gate, I was told we could use the adult only pool. I want you to know that this was not an acceptable alternative. You had primarily elderly people at your resort in which its about a 50/50 (maybe more like 80/20) shot on if they would rather not be around children or not. When we took our whole family to the adult only pool I was tasked with having to explain to every single person who came to this pool why were there because everyone knows its the adult only pool. There was a couple who rounded the corner, saw kids in the pool, looked at us, and we explained the big pool was closed they turned around pissed off and walked out. The first comment made by a woman on a lounge chair was a sarcastic comment of “Oh great, kids”. We felt like intruders in our own vacation. I paid a decent amount of money to spend one full day at your resort and instead I had to be on guard to protect my kids and their right to also enjoy your amenities. That was not relaxing or enjoyable for me at all. Then – we kept telling our kids all day that the main pool would reopen at 8. When we got there, a lady from your staff told us the pool isn’t open. We told her we were told it reopened at 8 and she said it was closed. We voiced our concern to her and she could care less. I need you to understand that this situation was extremely frustrating. If you have event like this where the option is making families use the adult pool, maybe you could post some signs to let people know so that I don’t have explain on your behalf why I’m in an area with children that is designated for adults only. We don’t plan on coming back to your resort. It’s disheartening because your website makes it sound like it’s so family friendly from Spring break through the summer but that was not our experience at all.

We stayed in a Villa, and it was very strange. Dark, cheap, but mostly clean. Air conditioning is locked at 72 or above! Tiny shower, slow internet, and fuzzy cable. Thermostat was down a long hallway, so bedroom was much warmer than the permitted 72. Made for a long, sweaty night. Dirty old carpet and unsafe door locks with old school keys. Choose a real hotel if thats what youre looking for.

We booked originally for 4 nights but after having such an enjoyable and relaxing time we added two more nights. The staff are very friendly Steven Christian and Kara (i hope thats right) were super friendly and accommodating. Upon check in their detailed information set us up for an enjoyable stay complementary bag of ice every day trash pickup at 9 everyday. The amount of activities and events is amazing you would think you were on a cruise ship. We played bingo the first night and enjoyed the pool the rest of the week staff set up a speaker which was awesome because before that random people brought their own so you were hearing 4 different speakers all day. The pool gets busy when the park is full so get there early to claim a chair or rent a gazebo and not have to worry about it. Also very dog friendly the dog runs are nice and well kept. Also had Kleen Tank flush my tanks while we were here which was great that they let certain vendors in the park to service your RV.

This was our first visit to this Park. Friendly staff and clean environment. Easy to reach off the freeway and not too far from major stores and fuel. Pads are concrete and grass with plenty of room to navigate. Dog friendly with multiple sectioned walks with gates, etc. We stayed for several nights and would not hesitate to do so again. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here, nice grounds and sites. This WOULD be our go-to spot...IF we could reserve a specific site. We requested an end site overlooking the chipping green. When we arrived we NOT assigned what we requested. We setup and stayed our first night thinking someone else was in the sites we asked for. In the morning we noticed no one occupied those sites. We inquired if it was available... It was and we were able to move. BUT - why werent we assigned this site from the beginning if it was available? It was a hassle to move everything the next day and was pretty frustrating. Would also be nice if they would provide a schedule for mowing. We were on conference calls when the mowers were right around our site and it was very disruptive. The ONLY reason we havent returned is that we cannot guarantee our site. It is a long drive for us to get there and we prefer to spend most of our time outside. If we cant guarantee our location we would rather go elsewhere where we can. Very unfortunate.

The place was great. I ended up using my Starlink Internet as their Internet was limited. Sites were nice and had a lot of room. I wish it had hookups on both sides as I was there with a friend and we couldnt have the doors facing each other. Overall it was a great stay

Although the staff is friendly and grounds are very clean, pools and hot tubs are nice…but…wish we would have known how close to freeway and round the clock train tracks we were. Thankful we brought our sound machine. We’ll be staying elsewhere next time! Oh, and the biggest draw was pickleball courts, but they also didn’t inform us that they were currently “under renovation”! A big let down….especially when they advertised pickleball clinics and tournaments!

Great RV Park with flat pads. Make sure to book the Platinum sites. Otherwise you may get a spot close to the highway and train tracks. This is a perfect location for us to stay when visiting family in LaQuinta.

I usually place reviews on Campendium for RV parks.----------------31 nights stayedSite #147Stayed here mid-Nov through mid-Dec 2023.Back-in 50 amp FHU concrete pad. Site #147.Would stay again.Campground WiFi:-Per usual RV park wifi, worked when the park was empty but could not connect once other folks started showing up.Cell/hotspot using booster:-AT&T (2 of 4 bars—4G)-Verizon (3 of 4 bars—4G)General note: Our site is near the pool and hot tub so lots of people cutting through sites here during this latest (3rd) stay.Staff: All new staff compared to our stay last year but still are very helpful.Sites: Pavement sites with grass. The sites back up to one another in many parts of the park so double-check the map for your preferred site if that bothers you.Sites: Flooding. They water every night and the sites tend to flood a little bit.Campground Road: Nicely paved.Grounds: Clean and maintained well.Bathrooms/Showers: Lockable shower stalls in an open bathroom. Not bad but could use some owner attention to broken things.Laundry: Great laundry facility! Came here to relax for a weekend.likes:excellent customer service by the front office staff. assisted me with the tv cause i couldn’t get it to turn on at first lolhuge villa. you walk into a corridor and it has 3 doors and each has a small villa attached to it.this was a bit confusing to me in the beginning cause i didn’t know the villa was attached to 2 other ones.but it was very spacious, clean, and quiet.they had a huge dog park, a pool, gym, a pool table area with tv to watch for sports etc, and a bbq area.this was great to have all in walking distance and accessible until like 9 or 10 pm i believe.dislikes:tv was extremely small for the size room. not too big of a deal cause that’s not what we were really there for but they could upgrade that.check in was a little confusing cause if you don’t make it there by 5pm, they leave a key for you with map to find your room. so if you’ve never been there before you have to find your own way around.luckily they placed me close to the office and i made it to check in right at 4:55pm.wifi suckkks. you will get basically zero reception here with t-mobile.pool was a biiit dirty with bugs but hey, we’re in the desert with wind. it was understandable.my dislikes are minor and i would definitely come here again!

What they dont tell you...amid the beautifully enhanced pictures on their website, is that their property is split in two-haves and is located within 100 yards of a cargo train line that runs regularly all through the night (see pic) The roaring vibration sounds like the train runs right through your RV. One half of the resort has the showers, pool and pond shown on their website, while the other half is packed so tight that you cant look out of any of your windows without seeing the front or back of a vehicle. There are also no showers or bathrooms available on this half. Beyond the train track runs the I-10. So when your not hearing the train you hear 24 hours of trucks and traffic. Once there you are stuck. You cannot get your money back and they make sure you sign the paperwork, which contractually constrains you (before you are able to see the truth about your situation). Would have been better off at Walmart. Talk about bait and switch! For this we paid $1800.00!!!!! Never again!!!!

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Emerald Desert RV Resort. The resort is clean and tidy. Staff is friendly and helpful. The train and highway are a little distractive. Dog run is fantastic. Park wasnt full, so we didnt have anyone on either side of us. Sites might be just a little close if it was busy.

The location is great. It’s a pretty park. We’ve stayed there many times before however, currently many of the facilities are not available making it not such a great deal. If noise bothers you, there is a train nearby, but it doesn’t bother us so much.

Reservations: Made online because the phones were down and stayed down for a few days. Chose the Luxury Site because of the length in the description of 50-57. Motorhome is 34 w/ a 12 cargo trailer. Made a note on the reservation for a 50-57 site because I would have a cargo trailer on the back of a motorhome. No communication for 5 days. Day before we were going to check in I called to make sure everything was good. Was told they didnt have any sites other than a pull through that could accommodate that length even though the description states otherwise. Was told the Luxury sites are up to 57 not that all are 50-57. Yea, nice play on words. Pull through, another $135 for 3 nights for a total of over $500. Was told they were filling up fast and I didnt have a choice for a site and that I could leave the cargo trailer in the storage lot, not. The last was told that I couldnt use the street or parking spots for the trailer. Walking around the park you see peoples vehicles being towed behind motorhomes parked in the street, so whats the difference??? There were sites available at 50-55 our entire stay. So to me this was a way to make more revenue through dishonest practices. Main corporate phone number was somewhat helpful and more understanding but the front desk far from it. They need training on customer service and accommodations to ones that are paying the bills. Stay: Show up and the park is not full and has not been close to full the entire stay. The only difference in sites is that some have brick / stamped concrete. So dont pay for any upgrades. All sites are the same w/ amenities. Park: Not worth the rates being charged. No picnic tables or trash dumpsters available. Trash needs to be set in front of the site before 0900 for pickup. No other amenities outside of Hookups. Sunland has really ran this park into the ground. Needs a lot of TLC. Power boxes are original, Some of the power boxes need to be replaced. Plugs are melted and some are very loose. 80% (est) of the grass is dead other than around the reservations and other office(s). The noise from the freeway and train is too much. You can feel the train vibrating the motorhome and little rocking. A sound wall needs to be installed. They should have sold part of the park against the railroad tracks for condos not the part they did sell. Site: The pull through which is actually a back to back site. They are long but the issue is the width. They cemented the sites too the width of approx. 120 and a wider area where the door on the RV is located. You will be cocked in the site to stay off the grass, which they require. Most likely will not be returning to this park, will stay in the others between Indio and Indian Wells for more amenities and less $. Its sad my parents loved this park before Sunland Purchased it.

Staff is outstanding and grounds are well maintained, but even in the more expensive spaces, youre on top of one another. No outdoor living is comfortable as youre literally on top of one smother. No outdoor tables provided, no fires, and so close to freeway and trains all night long.

Lovely, clean, spacious place with sliders and big windows with shades and wrap around patio and fruit trees. It was very private and safe. I loved walking my poodle around the whole gated community. I also loved that there was a pickle ball pro ready to teach! The only negative was the dull guy at the front desk who was very rude while we were checking out on 10/23/23 ... very unprofessional. We stayed 3 nights 10/20-10/22 in #2 casita.

Maybe my expectations were too high considering this is supposed to be a luxury RV resort but heres my experience. I arrived on Saturday and went to check in at the office. They were pleasant, assigned me a spot and gave me a map. I went to the spot they assigned me, and someone was already there. So, I went back to the office and told them. They apologized for the inconvenience and told me to go pick an open spot and call them to tell them where I ended up, so I did. They then said that someone was going to be arriving at that site on Thursday so I said ok just assign me a spot near this one and they did so I moved one more time and ended up in spot 8. I have a very manageable 21 foot class B but it would have been a major pain to have to move around a bunch of times for a bigger rig. Still, I had a long day of driving and just wanted to get set up and relax so the situation was less than ideal. Spot 8 is nice, however, there is a gate behind the site and people have been using it so I wouldnt recommend this spot if you would be bothered by people walking through your site. Monday I decided to run some errands so I left for a couple hours. Again, I have the class B so it’s also my vehicle. I left my chair, a dog leash and my rug set up at my site. When I came back from my errands... my site was empty. Also, I should note, the empty site to the left of me had a sewer hose hanging out of the sewer hook up for the whole time I was there and the site to the right of me had a water hose hooked up. No one had come to clean or remove items from those empty sites, but I leave the site I have rented for the week for just a couple of hours and they took all my stuff. I called the office and they apologized. They admitted it was them that cleared my site accidently but were only able to locate my chair which they brought back to me. Somehow the other items were nowhere to be found and they said they didn’t see them when they picked up the chair which I find difficult to believe since the leash was in the seat of the chair. Im guessing they tossed it all into a dumpster and could only find the chair. Luckily for me, since I now have to replace them, they weren’t expensive items. But they were my belongings and Im pretty salty about the whole experience. I’ve been traveling for months and have never had anyone touch anything at my site. Location is ok, the road and trains are loud. The bathrooms/showers re nice. The resort texts upcoming events, things like line dancing and pickle ball, all for an additional fee of course. Overall, overpriced and a bad experience, not planning on staying here again.

When you consider that you are just yards from a main railway line and very close to a major freeway which you can hear both, the price to stay here just seem way too high compared to other five star resorts in the area.

Wonderful place to stay! Feb 10-19,2023. Lots of activities that are included in the fee, swimming pool, pickle ball, and great dog park plus other activities. Excellent laundry and shower facility. Very clean but could focus a bit on a bit of maintenance on some items. Just minor repairs. A good suggestion would be to have an Exit Resort Survey available to the customer.Staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The grounds are nicely manicured and maintained. The size of the parking pads is good. Great location in Palm Desert. Hope to visit it again!

Nice clean Park. I liked everything except the laundry which at $10 for wash/dry was obscene. SomeT dryers dont work properly and half my laundry didnt dry. The office refunded my money, but it was a major inconvenience and it took 3 different people in the laundry room to help and the 3rd person said go to the office for a refund

Couldnt have asked for more. Last minute idea, somehow found this little gem on Air B&B. Peaceful, quiet, easy, clean. Checked in after hours and with the thorough instructions given had zero trouble everything was in great shape, very nice sized room and bed. With the pools and everything else they had there that I would love to go back and try it was simply perfect.

First off- don’t believe the photos on the website. It appears since the photos were taken, they stopped paying their water bill, fired the landscaper and turned the place into a goat ranch. All the grass is dead, “ponds” are poop-brown colored, several piles of dead grass through the park, dry/broken water fountains, empty dirt flower beds. The place feels abandoned. Two RV’s next to us we’re empty the entire time. We checked in during their lunch and there were two sheets on paper w/ZERO information. No laundry codes, no Wi-Fi info, no trash protocol etc… there was no phone number to call to speak to the office, only a text number. So I texted to ask what we do with trash… hours went by before I got a response. I was told the protocol is to have your trash outside of your RV before 10AM. Several people had their trash out all day/overnight. Animals got into the trash and had strewn trash all over. Twice we saw a worker drive by in a golf cart and no attempt to pick-up the trash. By the main entry, there was a torn-open trash bag w/ trash all over the street, IT STAYED THERE FOR THREE DAYS. This is a perfect example of how poorly kept/managed this place is. See the various pics I took for clarification. We could not wait to leave this place. Full-time living for 10 months, moving to a new park every week or less- this was the worst. It was depressing walking the dogs and seeing all the neglect. I saw people walking pit bulls (not allowed), even a woman walking a Cane Corso- the dangerous dog that’s been prohibited in 8 states. Lovely…We won’t EVER return.

This place used to be amazing. Hot tub- jets barely worked. All the interior was coming apart so it was rough to sit on. The pool decking was coming apart so you have to watch where you walk. They stopped watering so everything is brown dying (plants and grass). It used to be beautiful.Front staff wasn’t very nine either. For the price they are charging things should definitely be nicer.

The landscaping is terrible. Children are unsupervised. The dryers and washers are always out of service at 5 dollars per wash and dry. It takes your money and they dont refund it. They ask you to call a 800 number that doesnt work. At the current rate of decline thousand trails across the freeway seems a more optimal experience for the fraction of the price.

My husband and I stayed here in early October for a birthday celebration. The location is extremely easy to get to, staff was helpful and welcoming, and the amenities and room were all amazing. I booked a cabanas to relax in with a friend while our husbands were golfing; I still rave to everyone about the attention to detail and how kind the staff was.

Very nice park. Enjoyed our stay. Everything was spotless. There is a train nearby but it’s not that loud. Concrete slabs and grass area. Very nice Gym, pool, bathrooms, although they can use cleaning supplies inside the gym for after we use the machine or before (a roll of paper towels and disinfectant spray) I would definitely stay there again.

I was using their laundry room. It wasnt working so one of the employees came to help me and ended up swiping my card nine times. $45 to do laundry. I went to the main office and the guy in there refused to reimburse me. He was extremely rude! My suggestion to you is do not do your laundry there. Complete and total ripoff! I wasnt the only one having issues with that, there were two other people and theyre having issues. Maybe thats why he was so cranky because so many people came into the office to get reimbursed. Regardless I should not have been treated that way

Weve been coming here since 2009. This year, I have to say, was a little disappointing. Prices are way up. WIFI SUCKED! A lot of the grass and plants were dead. If you need to wash clothes, its $5 to wash & $5 to dry! That is crazy!

We really enjoyed our stay. The customer service was one of the best we ever had at an RV Resort. The free indoor movie with complimentary popcorn and cold drinks was a real plus. Our little dog even got a treat and dog toy for the dog park. Tesla at registration desk is very personable and has exemplary customer service.

We only stayed here one night. We were traveling through. The space was roomy and perfectly level. The light was out at our site and we arrived after dark so it was hard to see where it was. We were way in the back all alone so it was very quiet. We did use the hot tub and showers, they were good. I wanted to swim but the pool was very dirty and the outdoor furniture was old and torn. They need to take better care of their pools their jacuzzi, their shower facilities, but other than that just a nice relaxing place thats close to a lot of different attractions in the area.

We had to come to Palm Springs in June for business for a couple of days and stayed here. It was 104 degrees while we were here so no surprise but the park was pretty empty. In winter I am sure this place is busy.Nice facility and amenities and very well maintained . They have a chip and putt course, pickle ball courts, horseshoe pits and of course a pool. Lots of trees for shade and well placed so no problem infringing on your coach.We have a small dog and they have several areas for dog relief as well as 3 fenced in areas for off lease.The park is next to the 10 freeway and you get some traffic noise all day and night. Also train tracks run next to park so you do get some noise when trains go by but no train horns. The trains run in both directions day and night so might be an issue if you are a light sleeper.Their wifi is pretty marginal if you choose the free option but cannot speak for the upgraded pay version.We came back to the park the 1st of December for 2 weeks when the weather was nice. It was nice to have warmer weather than at home. Still enjoy the park but one complaint is they keep watering their lawns so much everything is soaked and damp at least this time of year.Overall we like this place and will be back but probably in the cooler months as there is a lot to see and do in the Palm Springs area.

Our first time visiting Emerald Desert RV was New Years 2020. The property was beautiful! The grass and green space was abundant throughout the property. All of the facilities were excellently maintained and clean. The staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful by delivering games (like life sized Connect Four) directly to our site! We played pickle ball, enjoyed the heated pool, and appreciated the breakfast offerings. The dog run was a perfect compliment to the other amenities and was used often by our active pooch! We enjoyed this RV resort very much. We had a very relaxing stay. The grounds are well kept, green and clean. The pool, fitness center and bathrooms were well maintained and the staff was very welcoming. We met some very nice folks while we were there as well. Lunas Pizza is just down the street we picked up a pizza one night and it was great. Another night we had dinner at The Steak House at Agua Caliente Casino which is just about 10 minutes away. We will definitely be back!!

Very disappointed in the pool. This is our second time here. We were very excited to bring our 3 kids to the pool being that its a warm week and they keep it heated. We get there and the pool looks dirty and there are green stains everywhere (algae.) Nonetheless I let them swim hoping that they keep up with the chemicals. Well, my 7 year old ultimately finds backswimmer bugs. Which I had to google to figure out. These bugs live in ponds and thrive and lay eggs in algae, and deliver painful bites. I was mortified. What does that say about the cleanliness of the pool?! My husband requested one of the staff meet him at the pool via text. They sent a man named Khristopher to check it out. He listened but didnt seem too concerned. My husband had to follow up to ask what was done to fix the problem. To which his response was that they keep the chemicals going all day and keep it clean (obviously not!) but he would look into having maintenance add some acid. This is terrible. This is supposed to be a nice resort and we are paying over 150 a night to hook up our 5th wheel. It completely ruined our stay. Disgusting! Also the ground around the pool is all cracked and coming apart. You really cant even walk around barefoot.

Beautiful resort....but this year they are charging to use the cabanas at the pool! The entire time we were there, week and 1/2, not once were they rented. Plus the pool was not the cleanest as in past years. No parties either, just a couple guys performing for a couple hrs. around the pool, a couple days. This is my husband’s and my first extended stay away from home with retirement barely in our rear view window. We could not have found a better place than Emerald Desert to begin our journey. The staff are delightful and ever so thoughtful. A special thanks to Jennifer, the general manager, for her kindness and professionalism. The grounds are spectacular with lush lawns and trees and beautiful flowers dotting the landscape. We have taken advantage of many of the planned events and have found that sense of ‘home’ in the activities. The resort is large enough to provide a feeling of spaciousness yet small enough to feel a sense of belonging and community. We are completely and thoroughly pleased to be here.

We had a great experience here! Jenn was amazing. We got there late and were put in a temporary spot. If you are arriving after 5pm make sure you talk with them first so you dont have that experience. I am SO upset with Emerald Desert RV Resort Palm Desert. I booked our RV spot 2 months in ADVANCE for the Jimmy Buffet Concert in Palm Desert on March 7, 2023. We paid in full AND wanted to store our beautifully remodeled 2009 Wildwood (looks excellent inside and out).We got a call on 2/24/23, and they WILL NOT accept our 25 Camper. The refund will be 7-10 days. I am SCRAMBLING to find a place to stay instead of losing over $500 worth of Jimmy Buffet tickets. Hubby called and spoke with the manager, Godwin; turns out he is an unpleasant and non-cooperative manager!1. They initially said we could not get our refund, BUT wound up refunding it this morning- or dealing with an AMX complaint!2. Refused to take our old RV for fear it may break down in the spot and would need to be towed (it is a 25 Wildwood trailer, NOT a motorhome).The employee took my reservation and money yet failed to mention this policy. Not a problem after discovering this issue since we have done this in other upscale parks; we sent multiple pictures, but they still refused our stay. Ironically, despite their stringent policies, we have stayed in Malibu, Ventura, and Newport Beach MULTIPLE times; we had NO issues.I will NEVER give them a good review or my money. I am upset with the lack of care, professionalism, empathy, and company ethics. Shameful!! As RVrs/campers, we all need to do our due diligence and write reviews for others about our stays or issues; this prevents others from this same issue. Second year we have stayed at Emerald Desert. Location is ‘perfectly positioned’ to everything in Palm Desert and easy drive times to Palm Springs, Indian Wells, Indio, etc. love it. We’ve played pickelball almost every day on the courts, biked a few times in Palm Springs - tour of movie colony area of homes, hiked the Bump n Grind. Lots to do though you also see other RV’ers taking it easy lying in the sun at their spot or hanging out at the pool.

We camped with multiple families over the NYE holiday and this was truly the best service and amenities that we have ever experienced at an RV resort...and we have been trailer camping for the last 7 years. They did everything that they could to make us feel comfortable during COVID from keeping spaces open, limiting people at the pool and having contactless check-in. The activities list is too long to write out but we went to their Activities Center and they delivered a bowling set, a huge Connect4 set, pickle ball sets and ice to our site. Next time we visit I need to remember to bring my golf clubs for the golf hole and practice green they have on site. The pool we used was heated to 90+ degrees and the free continental breakfast was amazing. Jennifer, the Assistant General Manager, went above and beyond to make sure that all of our sites had what we needed to enjoy our stay. We will definitely be visiting this property again and checking out the other properties that they own!

Nice big park, but somewhat secluded on the Premier side. Train noise was there, but never overpowering to the point it would wake us..although at times you could feel them shaking the RV, but just barely. The staff was great, very helpful with any needs. (Brought out the Bocci ball set immediately for us.) Showers were clean - never used them - not very private. Pool and hot tub were great, workout room was adequate. Easy access to I-10, and all of Palm Desert area. (Took full advantage of the muffins and mimosas on Saturday moorings!) Immaculate grounds, felt extremely safe here, would come back again. Bit pricey, but weekly discounts get it down to a manageable rate.

We stayed at the ED Resort for two weeks and not only is a lovely, well kept resort, it offers two great dog parks for our dogs. The grounds are pristine and the sites are good size for larger rigs, with flat, easy to back into locations. There are trains that are going by on a regular basis, but we were towards the back, where the resort has put large garages between the sites and the tracks to help absorb the sound. Great location and great resort.

Only shock on arriving was....NO PICNIC TABLES! Never entered my mind to ask if there were picnic tables. Never been anywhere without one! Turns out there are none. So now we had no way to eat outside at the Camp. Turns out this is apparently SOP for Palm Springs RV Resorts when I asked the Office. So if you come with your own table and chairs it is really fine, as long as you expect the typical parking lot tight places for RVs (with real estate the cost it is, who can expect more?). The full hookups work well, the grounds are well kept, with tennis court and golf. No playground etc for kids. More of a place for folks without kids. But they were quite tolerant of our little ones walking around everywhere and playing mini golf around the grounds.

This place is Amazing, and a year ago, so was all the staff. Magically, however, all the knowledgeable empowered staff disappeared during their late transition and now we are dealing with people who1. Do not have ANY power of decision making.2. They are fed contradicting information, and as such, say contradicting things to the clients.Here is one. A whole entire row of sites is open at the moment. I got told repeatedly at booking and up until day of arrival, that they cannot possibly at all, even almost pre-assign a particular site to ANYBody. Yet, today I requested to move to a different OPEN Site, and was told, no the chart shows that particular site is pre-booked, pre-assigned. So SOMEBody could make a particular request, just not me.Here is another one. The staff just are not as happy as they were in the past. That usually means nothing good. Happy staff very directly translate into a happy experience for the guests. At these kill-joy prices the company that took over this park better perk right up. People like us Will Move to other parks. Oh but Wait!! They ENSURE you dont just up and move, because they will charge you UPFRONT for the entire month all of a sudden ... nice right?Terrible management is ALWAYS visible in terrible little details of things that used to Just Work. Like happy employees. This new management utterly sucks

We have been spending varied amounts of time at Emerald Desert over the past ten years. We have noticed the park is not as well maintained as it had been in the past and it has lost it’s ‘high end’ feel while the rates are still very high end and continue to be increased. Also we did not realize that if you want your unit washed and waxed, we found out later you have no choice but to use the company within the park. I had a quote from them and they were extremely higher - almost twice as much as the person I wanted to do my unit. I asked at front desk if it was possible to use the company I was recommended from our Luxe Rv group. The office said yes but he would have to register at front desk. Not a big deal. So I proceeded to book the company. Afternoon before he came in I phoned front desk to let them know they would be here at 8. No answer I left message. Well they came in at 8 all set up started washing (office doesn’t open till 830). The park manager came to our site right away and informed me this is not allowed. I explained to him I talked to office and was told me I could use the company provided they would register. I explained to the manager about the high cost and a person should be allowed to choose who washes and waxes our expensive units. Long story short I was allowed to have him finish the wash/wax job and they did a fantastic job. But found out that management wouldn’t add this mobile cleaning company to the. preferred list of the park because it is required we only can use the company stated on the park list. Not right. The preferred company does not use chemical free water and just hook up to park water. Not right. The company I used has their own water and it is chemical free. Not right that you have to use a company that charges double to what it should be. This is a public park not a private park so everyone should be allowed to use who you want to do your work or wag on your Rv.Brad

I want to give this park 4 or 5 stars. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The pool, workout room and common areas are beautiful and meticulous. The sites are level, cement pads and pretty spacious with nice lawn and shade trees. The issue is the noise. It is on I 10 which is LOUD- totally ruins sitting outside to enjoy the weather and pretty park. Sounds like you are in the highway meridian. Add in several trains a day right on the petimeter and people speeding on Frank Sinatra Drive and there is no pretense about it being peaceful. Loud white noise machine cannot totally drown out the obtrusive noise. It is a really nice, well cared for park with beautiful amenities but....the NOISE.

Great employeesI first have say I’m not an RV’er. My father and mother have been coming here for more than 20 years.Unfortunately my father was here in July and had a mild heart attack. The paramedics came twice he wouldn’t go with them the first time. They came a second time (in the park both times within 5 minutes). They took him to Eisenhower hospital. After a 3 day stay in the hospital he’s doing fine. Now we have a motor home and car to get home. They gave us a villa to stay for below current rates.They helped us disconnect the RV from there services.Helped us hook up the vehicle we were towing.This review is a thank you to all the employees.As far as the facility, it’s awesome. Anyone can make a awesome facility but most don’t have employees that really care about the people who visit.

Weve camped at ED for 10 years to visit the Indian Wells pro-tennis matches in March; that is, prime season price-wise. Great facility with tennis/pickle ball, pool, gym, even a little pitch & putt golf hole. We thought it was a very good value for 7-8 of those years. Only after prepaying my husband looked at Google maps to discover that this was at an RV resort. We have stayed at this resort numerous times and really like it because of its size, well-maintained grounds, lots of grass and shade, clean facilities, and nice pool. Over the last couple of years however, this property seems to have gone downhill. During this visit, the grounds are not as clean as usual, the pool area was disgusting (the trash cans were always beyond full and there was trash throughout the pool deck area), and the pool lights didn’t even work at night. Also, the prices seem to get more absurd with each passing year. It is by far the most expensive resort weve ever stayed at, with the least amount of amenities!!The worst part of this trip however was check in. When I made reservations, I requested two specific spots for us and our friends. Upon check-in I realized I requested the wrong two and asked the person at the front desk, Brianna if we could trade spots. She checked the computer and said they were empty and that was fine. We pulled into the spot, got all hooked up and unpacked and an hour and a half later she called us and told us we were going to need to move spots because someone was “already in that spot”. We told her there was no one in the spot nor in the 15-20 spots around us, but she still said we had to move. First, she tried to tell us that someone had that spot reserved and was coming in the following day. We reminded her that their policy- as we have been told multiple times- is that customers cannot reserve a specific spot, but only make a request. Then, she backtracked and tried to tell us that someone was actually in the spot and had been for a month, but they had disconnected and left for the day but they would be returning. My husband asked to speak to a manager and after a run around on that request she said she would try and reach the manager and have them call us. About 10 minutes later she called back and said that the people in the spot had actually checked out early and we’re gone so we could stay in our spot. Something similar to this happened on one of our other visits about 2 years ago: We checked in late at night and hooked up in the spot listed on our paperwork and then at 7:30 the next morning, an employee came knocking on our door, woke us up, and told us there had been a mix-up in the computer and we were going to have to move spots. He was very rude about it too.Another time, my daughter (14 years old at the time) was told by an employee that she could not be riding on her scooter without a helmet. She said he was mean about it. We made note the rest of our stay during that trip that we literally only saw 2 people wearing helmets, and about 40-50 people riding on bikes and scooters without them!We keep giving this resort 2nd chances, but this may have been the last.

Customer service: 1 Star. Several interactions with the folks behind the counter (except Donelle who is the only one that seems to try) over the 30 days we stayed there were borderline incompetent.Maintenance: 1 Star. Mowing of grounds was mostly non-existent during the 30 days we stayed at Emerald Desert in the Elite section. Residents would have to complain about the long grass and piles of leaves in order to get anything done. However, Maintenance would show up to clean the pool just as the residents would start using it in the morning....unbelievable.Amenities/Utilities : 1 Star. Cable TV is included in rate so hard to complain but 90% of the channels were so fuzzy one could not watch them. The electricity for the entire resort was out for 10 hours. Water pressure was very low. Pool tables in the clubhouse were off limits due to a water leak that damaged the pool table legs. The only other pool table in the resort was in very poor shape (stains on felt, pockets with holes and bumpers that went thud). On a positive note, the hot tub was always warm and they did keep the swimming pool around 80 degrees all day/night.Security: 1 Star. We had our $1,500 road bike stolen from our site on Dec 17. Resort security was in force on Dec 15 and 16 but was mysteriously absent on the 17th. Ours wasn’t the only bike stolen on that night as a neighbor got his $3,000 electric bike stolen and it had two cables wrapped around it! Video feed from the security cameras was reviewed by corporate and according to Jennifer, the General Mgr, “nothing was found” leading me to believe either the cameras weren’t working or the perp knew where to walk/run...combine this with the missing security and one can deduce an inside job.Communication: 1 Star. In the two weeks we stayed here after the theft, I got one update from Jennifer and it was only because I went to her office. In addition, there were no locks on the gates leading out of the resort so anyone could come and go as they pleased. It took 10 days and several broken promises before they had locks.We (and several other residents) will not return to this resort.

This RV resort was nice and the staff we encountered were friendly. Depending on where you are parked its kind of a quirky way to exit the park. If youre parked in the spots to the right of the the entrance, you cannot make a left to go back out if the park. You have to go around the entire park to exit. Other than that little inconvenience the park is well maintained and all the facilities are clean and in good repair. The laundry room is very nice should you need it.

Emerald Desert RV Resorts Villas are amazingly beautiful; We rented a Villa to sell our Bluebird Bus there at the RV Resort. A couple from Canada flew out to see our Bus at Emerald Desert; we didnt want to sleep in our Bus because it was ready for showing; in other words it was cleaned and ready to be sold. So we rented a Villa Suite there on the Resorts premises; and all I can say is WOW!!!! The Villa was beautifully decorated in Mid Century Style, tile floors and carpeted living area along with a well appointed Master Bedroom. Called before before leaving home to confirm site I requested (620) was available. Was told they couldnt confirm until noon, but site 621 was open. I cancelled my alternate park reservation and left home. Arrived and was told neither site was available! Sorry the trainee told you wrong. Im now trapped and had to accept the only site available.Arrive at my site only to find the site was nasty dirty with tree trimmings. spent 4 days blowing off my pad every day before debris was finally removed.Proceeded to the pool the next day late in the morning to find a nasty dirty pool as the result of a dust storm. All pool furniture also had not been cleaned. Im also suspect the main pool filtering system was not functional. a portable system was used for sweeping the pool and at no time did i ever see water circulation. As a result we never stepped foot in the pool and only went twice the entire time we stayed (8 days).

The noise from the hiway and trains is never ending. At check in I was only given one choice of spots, after asking about other availability I was given more choices. There was no one available to take me in the cart so I had to drive around the park and then call the office to tell them of my choice. Sites are pretty tight, no privacy. The music from the clubhouse yesterday made sitting outside unpleasant. A visit to the clubhouse asking that the volume be lessened was unheeded. For more than 100 bucks a night I expected a lot more. After only two nights, I am moving to a different park. There are nice, mature trees for shade.

Came out was rude telling me how to back up rig. Guy was a complete idiot driving a 24 ft trailer no comprehension of what pivot points and turn radius on 56 ft is. Stayed 8/15/18-10/31/18. Crazy hot (we expected), biting flies were terrible as were biting ants. Facilities and grounds were immaculate. No discount for long term. Staff was unfriendly. Pool area is gorgeous. The bad feelings: told we could fit our truck in the drive. Nope. Had an argument w Genl Mgr who needs a Dale Carnegie course and clear they didn’t want to do the work to get us into a larger site. Had to park 100 yards from site. Told all the places were taken but there were probably 15 RVs in park out of 300 spaces for next several weeks. How would you feel? Told we could not extend RV over the grass and then everyone else was doing it and parking their trucks in their drives. 3x at the pool mid day when worker adding chemicals to pool. Everyone left. We complained and they continued to do it anyway. They had tent canopies at pool that we enjoyed when first there. Then they cordoned them off w yellow crime tape and noted “reserved” for named families that stayed cordoned for weeks, saying you could “rent them”. I thought this was extremely tacky to do when so few RVs there. We would not stay again bc we felt unwelcome and not worth the expense.

Nothing is perfect, but Emerald Desert comes close. As mentioned by others, this place is hard to beat. The grounds are very well maintained and cared for. The individual pads are concrete with lush green grass and trees everywhere else. Our 36 foot RV (3 slides) had plenty of room. There is a staff member who drives around in a golf cart that will address any concern you may have, including helping with your hook ups if necessary. Daily trash pick up right in front of your pad keeps things fresh smelling in that there are no stinky dumpsters except in the far corners of the resort. This is really a nice touch and it help keep the flies to a minimum.The facilities are first class. The pools, tennis courts, spa and gym are a nice as you will find anywhere. There are many excellent restaurants just a short drive from the resort. There is also an RV wash and wax service crew available that will clean and shine the outside of your RV right in your space.We had no problem dealing with the trains. After one day, you hardly know they are around. For the most part, the office staff is very helpful and friendly. Our only issue was with an office person who did not appear to know how to work the reservation program. That was a little frustrating.We plan on coming back in just a few weeks. We have stayed in most of the nice RV parks in southern California and this is one of our favorites.

This is by far the worst ever resort I have EVER stayed at! Waaaayyyyyy over priced and not kid friendly. We went with another family with kids, we paid twice as much for our site as them, and they put us three rows apart. Children are not allowed to ride bikes or be kids no matter what age (ours were 16 and 17) and we were harassed about them not being with an adult! We will never go back! Please if you plan a family trip choose elsewhere, the kids were miserable but you gave to pay per kid per night!

Weve stayed here several times over the past few years. Even referred friends and acquaintances. In the past weve had a pleasant stay. However, this visit was quiet different. For a resort your sites are way too small for the modern big rigs. You are NOT big rig friendly. For the prices you charge you should have sites big enough to park on and be able to put your chairs on the cement. Your 50amp circuits continue to kick off and need replacing. Cable is next to nil and the reception is less than adequate. Wi-Fi is poor. The sprinklers totally soak everything even your freshly detailed rig, we just paid 350.00 to have detailed. Oh and then theres the ANT issues, they are every where. We were bitten a number of times while setting up. A number of people we spoke with had the same concerns about the ants biting our animals, not to mention the fear of them getting inside our rigs. Its like this place is one giant ant hill. Totally unacceptable. Ants were even in the rest rooms. Im sure this rating will go out the window and will never be addressed. Dont become like the rest of California, by not having the pride to keep things nice. California roads are disgusting, roughest roads in our country oh and so much litter.

Our biggest disappointment is they allow smoking at individual campsites. The sites are WAY to close to allow this to happen. This evening, our neighbors smoked a cigarette every 5 minutes and then they lit a cigar which forced us to get in to our RVs and turn on the air conditioner. We were here with other Rvers and we will absolutely not be back in this park unless they put the smokers in another area. I can’t imagine how those battling cancer would feel about this park allowing this to happen. We were considering wintering here but have changed our plans. We will not be in a park that doesn’t promote a health6 environment.

I will never stay here again. First, when I arrived, I stood behind someone else trying to get a better site and the 1 lady at the desk never acknowledged me. I stood there for 15 minutes until someone else finally walked in. Next, we get to our site and it is not level. When making the reservation I asked about the freeway noise. didnt know about the trains at that time. The person making the reservation said it was a very quit Rv Park.I have a 25 foot trailer the spot to park was a reverse v and the guy directly across the street had his car was parked in the street and no was no where to be found. After a wonderful stay at Sunland Emerald Desert RV Resort last March to attend the Indian Wells Professional Tennis Tournament, we decided to book our 15 day stay there this (2020) March as we volunteered to work the 2020 14 day tournament. We were so excited to volunteer at the tournament and to stay again at the beautiful RV Resort. A week and a half before we were to arrive in CA, we knew the COVID-19 pandemic was dangerous, especially as my husband and I are 71 years old. I suspected that the tournament directors would have to cancel the event (which they only did 1 day before the start of the tournament), and so we regretfully cancelled our reservation at Sunland knowing we might not get our deposit returned due to the late cancellation. To our delight and surprise, Jennifer at the Resort called us and said they were returning our entire deposit. I know the Resort was losing money, losing reservations because of the epidemic, and I know this was a great gesture of ethical business practice on their part. Sunland Emerald Desert RV Resort has been a place we looked forward to visiting, beautiful plantings, kind and informative staff, and a pickleball court right near our RV camping site. But now, we definitely will be telling people to support such an ethical business as well. Thank you. Patty Reed

My wife and I booked one of the Resorts villas for a month from January 18th through February 18th, 2018.We had familiarity with the Emerald Desert RV Resort because our friends had stayed there for the past couple of years and they really liked it. As such, we thought wed stay there as well and join them for their 2018 winter vacation.Emerald Desert RV Resort is primarily for RV owners, and in particular, those with late-model and pristine condition units. You wont find any beaters in this park.The Resort is immaculate! From the minute you drive in you know youre entering a classy place. The green space is manicured and the roadways and RV parking sites are clean and well-maintained. There are two outdoor pools that are also very nice. One is an adults only pool and the other one (the larger of the two) is for all ages; however, youll rarely find any kids in this pool as the area caters mostly to snowbirds and those who are members of RV caravans and groups.There is a laundry facility located at the adults only pool that is nicer than any Ive ever seen at a camping facility. You dont need to fuss with coins either because they allow you to use a pre-pay card system that is reloadable.There is a state-of-the-art work-out centre on site that helps you melt away those excess pounds you will undoubtedly gain from enjoying all the wonderful food and drink that Palm Desert has to offer.The washrooms are immaculate and even have spinning machines to take the excess moisture out of your bathing suits.There is a social aspect to the Emerald Desert RV Resort as well. They regularly hold get-togethers that appeal to a variety of interests. While we were there, they held a Super Bowl party, complete with a great barbeque; the game was broadcast on a huge projection TV. On Wednesday afternoons they have entertainment and food around the pool and that was also very nice. There were also other scheduled activities that were available for those with specific interests such as painting classes and flea-markets.As I mentioned at the outset of this review, my wife and I booked into a villa which is a real neat idea for an RV park. There are about 10 of these on the property of varying sizes and they are designed to allow those who want to visit this exquisite park the opportunity to do so without having to bring an RV. It is perfect for friends and family of RV owners who cant accommodate their guests in their own units.I wouldve rated this resort as a 5-star without hesitation were it not for the condition of the villas. Although the layouts of the villas are quite nice, they are in need of some upgrading. I understand that management is working on this and once this is done it would be hard for anyone to rate their experience at less than a 5. This said, we had encountered some disappointment in the condition of our villa but upon speaking with Divisional Manager, Michael Carle, all was sorted out We truly appreciated the efforts Mr. Carle went to to make things right. He is a very kind and considerate man.

Stayed here Thanksgiving 2017. Didn’t have enough nice things to say about this place. Stupidly, came back Thanksgiving week 2018 and my children have been harassed since the moment we got here. Kids under 18 have to be supervised by an adult AT ALL TIMES. That means, if they want to ride their bikes, you have to go, if they want to walk around, you have to go too. Don’t come here for a relaxing time where your kids can freely ride bikes like they can at 99% of all campgrounds in the US. My kids are incredibly well behaved and respectful at campgrounds. I am not a fan of resorts who pick and choose when they want to enforce their rules. Thanksgiving 2017, not one person told us our kids had to be supervised at all times. I would have never, ever come back. It’s going nice to be a miserable 4 days here of my kids being bored to tears or me having to chase them around. If this place wants to be a “resort” they should shut it down to families and make it for 55+. Of my kids can’t respectfully ride their bikes on the roads, that’s ridiculous. I will never come back here. EVER. AND IF YOU HAVE KIDS, DONT BOTHER STAYING HERE. This place sucks. What a colossal waste of money and an awful way to spend my Thanksgiving vacation.

We attended a Tiffin motor coach rally at Emerald Desert RV Resort April of 2014. This was a very disappointing experience with the park. The site that we were assigned was not large enough for our 40 foot motorhome, it was impossible to level the coach. The sites in the park are small and the roads are narrow which make it difficult to park the your coach. Along with that you hear trains all night long, maybe you might like the sounds, we did not.The park is gated and one would think that would provide some margin of security. It does not. I left two bikes parked on the cement pad next to the coach and the next morning someone had taken a bicycle from another site, left it in our site and took mine. I reported the theft to the office manager and received very little concern. Her comment was that with conditions in our country these things happen. I was advised to contact local law enforcement and that was the end of her concern. Two days later after the two bikes were taken a notice was posted on each RV door, stating that personal property should be locked up and secured. Noting like a a day late and items missing.The park does offer a nice pool and exercise room. This however does not make up for the lack of personal concern for the residents needs or security. At the daily rate one would expect a much better experience. It would not be recommend by me for these reasons. You could say not a happy camper.Final comment: The Tiffin rally was wonderful.

Nice but tight. I suppose thats because the resort was designed and built before bigger units were manufactured. Still a great Winter destination for the Palm Desert area.

By far one of the worst rv parks I have ever stayed at and have stayed at quite a fewNothing but harassed since the day we checked in by security and constantly felt like we were being followedWere told one day we could park on the street by a security guard then the following were told it wasn’t allowedThey pick and choose which rules they feel like enforcing from one day to the nextThink for the park being nearly empty they would do their best to make the very few guests they had feel welcome but they did the exact opposite I could go on and on about the horrible customer service my family and I ExperiencedDo not recommend staying here especially if you are coming with a familyWould give 0 stars if that was an option

Nice RV park. Noise level is to high. Noises are from the cars on the freeway, trains going by multiple times a day and the daily use of leaf blowers.

Really beautiful RV resort...but nonstop traffic noise from interstate I-10 and freight trains.... Even in the spots as far as possible from the highway and train tracks, youre going to hear non stop tractor trailers and freight trains
