The rooms are incredible! The staff is kind! There’s complimentary food/drinks (including alcohol) in the evening. The breakfast is huge and delicious. And a good location. We loved our stay here

What a terrible, annoying experience I had at this place. First, the good.1. People are chill. All the hotel employees I spoke to are friendly and polite.2. Breakfast is fantastic. Not average, not good, but pretty darn great.The bad.1. The thermostat in the room is merely a suggestion. Came to the room it was set at 65, I set it at 76 because I was cold, after half a day it was 69 in the room, and thats where it stayed for 5 days. Its very clear they dont let you set the temperature to where you want it to save $$$.2. Window was screwed shut. Instead of having a nice, fresh breeze I was stuck with a noisy AC/Heater and super dry air.3. The internet kicked you off at least 2-3 times per day, and made you re-log into it. In the middle of a work zoom meeting? Playing a video game? They dont care, it will kick you off. Talking to hotel guests at breakfast confirmed that everyone experienced this. From a business hotel this is inexcusable!4. Room was all dark, with muted silvers and grey everywhere, and was slightly depressing. There is nothing colorful in the room and it was very dreary. Some fun colors would be appreciated.5. Paid parking with zero security and very little shade.

I had a really nice stay except for 1 really bad customer service experience from Cheryl, one of the hotel managers.Pros of this hotel: Very nice and clean. The breakfast had lots of great choices and the breakfast staff were really awesome and friendly. Rooms were (mostly) clean and the hotel pool was decent.Cons: The hotel has a program were you pay a $15/day destination fee but then the hotel gives you a daily $15 credit to use at the hotel. The hotel staff did a terrible job communicating this perk. On the 2nd day I stopped at the front desk to clarify if the credit was nightly or daily. The lady working the front desk confirmed that it was a $15 *per day* credit, not nightly. This would imply that during my 4 night, 5 day stay, I would receive 5 days worth of the $15 credit. When I checked out after my last day I received a bill showing the last days credit wasnt applied. I called the hotel and spoke with Cheryl, who said she was the manager on duty. I explained the situation and she told me the perk was only for each night and that it expired at 10pm the day before checkout. That information wasnt stated anywhere and I also told her that a hotel employee had told me differently. She wouldnt budge on refunding the $15 overcharge.It really put a damper on an otherwise nice stay at this Embassy Suites. I believe the employee made an honest mistake and gave me inaccurate information; however, the manager should have taken responsibility for this and instead has now lost future business over a $15 dispute.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff was friendly and helpful including Mark in the restaurant for dinner last night, Mark and George at breakfast, who went out of their way to greet us and let us know where things were and Ellen from Housekeeping who inquired about our stay as we were waiting for the elevator and said “ I hope you come back to see us again”. Our suite was clean and well appointed with a great view of the ocean! Having worked in the industry for over 40 years myself, I enjoyed the enthusiasm and smiles from the staff!

This Embassy Suites is modern and enjoyed the lobby ambiance. Restaurant is delicious. Staff is so friendly at front desk. Can’t beat the complimentary daily breakfast and staff were also nice and attentive. Rooms are so spacious and we enjoyed the sunset from our room that had a balcony. Will definitely return next time we are in Monterey!

The staff and service at Embassy Suites made my multi-week stay feel like coming home. The spacious room provided the environment I needed for rest as well as work without cramming me all into a single tiny room. The location makes getting anywhere in the Monterey area easy. And the breakfast buffet is an invigorating way to start the day. Ample tasty food were made only better by the generous and delightful restaurant staff: George and Meixue, in particular became bright spots I came to seek out to start my days with a smile.

I booked the reservation over the phone and was told the room was a certain way and when we got there it was not as described by them. Upon voicing the concerns to the front desk they said that the room that they described is available for 200 dollars more. Other than that there was nothing else they would do. The room was decent, the beds were not comfortable, and the bathroom door did not close all the way. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. You can get a view of the ocean and there are some food places nearby.

We spent a night here to visit the area. We were impressed with the hotel.+ Check in was smooth. Our room was ready and we were given a parking voucher immediately.+ Our room was clean. We got a King size suite and it was nice to have that extra room.+ The mattress was very nice. We had a great nights sleep on it.+ The complimentary breakfast was awesome. Alot of choices, alot of seating and the staff did a great job of clearing tables as guests came and went. Its a great touch.+ Check out was great and they stored our luggage until later that afternoon as we went to Carmel and did not want our bags with us in case our car was broke into. My wife loved them for this as we didnt have to stress out.I would definitely recommend this hotel and also come back.

Breakfast great, room great.What wasnt great is the mandatory $15 resort credit. Not sure i would consider this a resort as it is a typical embassy suite anywhere in the US. Was here for three days and when I checked in i wasnt told about the ability to use that in the gift shop or that I had to use it daily. I believe that to be intentional.Also a bit disappointed that there wasnt any perks for being a diamond member. Not sure if its even worth having it anymore.

The servers at the restaurant for dinner were the best. I believe their names were Jennifer and Maria. Both were super friendly, personable, and genuine. The front desk lady in the morning with the colored eyes was very helpful in fixing and explaining my billing. The room was very clean. The housekeeping staff was very attentive and friendly. Great place to stay and visit Carmel by the Sea.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had the most lovely breakfast service with George. He helped my sister who threw her back out before our trip and needed to walk with a cane, every morning by bringing us our drinks and food. He went above and beyond with his help and genuine kindness. He made this hotel feel like home and we looked forward to seeing him every day.

The room was quite small for a suite. The elevator were annoying and small. The bartender Delmy was super rude. When the front desk told me there was Happy Hour. I order some cocktails from Delmy. And saw the bill and ask her I thought it was happy hour. She just rudely said oh front desk didn’t tell you, it’s over there. I apologize and said I wasn’t aware that it was a different line. She said well you guys just came up to me.Roll her eyes and Didn’t apologize for the misunderstanding. I won’t be coming back to get drinks from her again

Was there for 3 days and stayed in room 1008. Room was nice but the hide away bed in the couch was not comfortable and the main bedroom door didn’t close properly and I didn’t like how there was only one door to go to the bathroom and not double doors. Wish there was a closet in the living room. Breakfast was average. The market was not so great they only had very little treats on the shelves and not enough candy selection

It was my first time staying at Embassy Suites, I loved it. The whole experience really came down to the service at the bar. Delmy has spunk and really knows how to make someone smile. William was kind, we had him the next day. Great personalities .The only thing I would say is whoever the manager (tall bald man) he needs to smile! He stands there looking grumpy. Not welcoming. He said something to Delmy but he should have been nice which why I gave it 4 stars. Such a great team of bartenders and he just stands there looking unhappy. The other bartender I don’t remember his name but he was a little slow but he tried and still we were happy with the overall service. Delmy and William were awesome. Thank you to you both.

Great location and great facilities and great service. Clean, nicely appointed rooms. Large, and especially good for families. We were here with large family, and need three rooms. The evening happy hour was terrific as was the morning breakfast. Fabulous omelette. The staff is friendly, helpful, well trained and well managed. It’s not easy to provide great service to gobs of people especially with families. This site does it.

I enjoyed breakfast in their ground floor free breakfast cafe. This was, by far, my best such breakfast in a long time with a vast array to choose from! After breakfast, I met George, their friendly cafe supervisor, who was monitoring their breakfast cafe to assure that everything met or exceeded expectations! What a great experience!

Very busy Thanksgiving weekend and although there were hundreds of people visiting -the staff worked very hard to keep folks happy. In the restaurant, the bar, the morning breakfasts and in housekeeping! In the midst of all this, my son left his Drivers Permit in the room when we left- and housekeeping found it and kept it! We were able to get it back!Excellent customer service from the front desk as well. We will not be back for another too-crowded Thanksgiving- but we will be back for more Monterey lifestyles at Embassy Suites!

Our room was nice. One of the three elevators was not working, so it took forever when waiting for one. The lobby bathrooms were also out of commission. I waited for almost 10 minutes in the gift shop for the young lady to come back. When she did, I told her she should have put her sign up. She got irritated with me and said it didnt take her that long. All I know is I would have walked out as well as the other half dozen people did if it did not need what I picked.

They were on top of everything & the night went exactly as planned. Sonny was our banquet captain & he was the best! Easy to work with, professional & very accommodating. Update 4/2/24:Stayed here again. Upside, the parking lot has been cleaned up, felt safe and secure now. Lobby looked better as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. My room was nice BUT once again HVAC didn’t work. This time no heat. This isn’t a budget priced hotel, for close to $400/night I expect working HVAC. This is two trips in a row, in four different rooms where the HVAC didn’t work.This was my go to hotel for events at Laguna Seca. It may be the last time though. First room the fan for the AC didn’t work at all. Moved me to a second room. AC doesn’t work in this room either, it’s just the fan blowing warm air. All the staff have been very friendly but it’s obvious upkeep and maintenance has been missing. Parking was also iffy. It’s a large lot and you have to pay $20/night but there’s a good portion taken up by what look like people living out of their cars.

(The response below from management is 100% false and a blatant lie) Do not stay at this hotel. Please read.After staying here several times, here is my story. If you have a family, work hard, and pay your taxes, I implore you to read my review.Today was the day after Thanksgiving. Usually I book a room here as I have done every year right around this time and the holidays.For some reason, I accidentally booked 2 nights for my family of 4 through an agency instead of the hotel directly. I cancelled that reservation immediately (less than 30 minutes after booking it) so that I could book directly with the hotel instead.The hotel (not the agency) - this is Jackie (manager who never returned my calls), Cheryl, Jasmine, and Jennifer insisted that I be charged 1 night penalty for my mistake - $201 to be exact. I was shocked. This is the fee I am charged by the hotel (not the agency) for cancelling my booking to book the EXACT same dates directly with the hotel?Fine. I asked if I could use that 1 night penalty for the same dates and pay for another night directly with the hotel. They refused.I asked if I can reinstate my reservation (the original one) after just a couple of hours of cancelling it. They refused.And so here I am, an honest loyal customer treated like garbage. Should I be surprised? I mean, I suppose when I look at empathy in society these days, I probably shouldnt - you are not treated like a customer or even human, youre just a nuisance and noise.Im so sad and so hurt that I was punished in this way. No sorry, no I understand. All I got was you booked with a third party and this is our policy, sir.You want to charge me a penalty? Fine. Let me use the night you charged. Nope. Let me book another night with you directly and keep the first night as credit. Nope.Kindness and hospitality go a long way. Losing $200 wont make me rich nor will it make me poor - but feeling wronged in this way is just terrible.If youre a hard working family person. If you pay your taxes. If you have a family and save for the holidays, the free breakfast and the location of this hotel are not worth the shame and punishment they give for a loyal customer.

We love to stay at the Embassy Suites when we can. My guess about this particular location is that there are times of high usage as many of the areas (particularly the carpeting) could use a deep cleaning. Our room was fine, but we paid an upgrade to have an ocean view, which we did enjoy. However, I notice small details-like the seal on one window had failed and water condensed then formed some kind of mold? Or that a part of the sink needed caulking. Clearly, the bedding was clean and looked great. The breakfasts? Superb! The Managers Reception/Happy Hour-it was ok. Sadly, I remember when it used to be a fun place to meet others and nosh on yummy tidbits. Now, it is pretzels, potato chips some veggies & a dip. Also, plan on paying for EVERYTHING & ANYTHING, including parking your own car in a regular nothing special, parking lot. Nevertheless, considering this was (sort of) Monterey, I will continue to stay here for our visits.

Our stay was wonderful. The complimentary manager hour cocktails and snack was so welcoming. The rooms are so family friendly. Staff was great and check in and check out process were seamless. $20 parking pass and there is a resort fee that covers wifi, beach towels, and a small credit at the bar. We will be coming back!

I took my two year old son to the aquarium for his birthday. Called the hotel days ahead to get early check in as my son naps around noon. Was told to call the morning of for availability. I did call the morning of multiple times and was told the same thing every time; that the night before was fully booked and they would call me once a room was ready. Never received a call. Decided to go to the hotel a hour before check in and my room was ready without hesitation. It was frustrating that the hotel service could have helped my family but instead decided not to. I do not think it takes multiple hours to get a family in to a room early. On top of this they do not allow the AC to be lowered and the water takes long to get warm. There are also unexpected fees not mentioned when booking.

“Taxes and Fees Suites” is what it should be called. Upgraded to a two-bedroom (side by side) suite for two nights and cost ~$1900. Worth it if it were a nicer, more updated hotel. Beds are in desperate need of replacing. Air conditioning was not cold.All around just okay. The two star rating increased to a three due to the breakfast, which was excellent. Staff were very helpful and kind.I would not say it’s worth the price.

Classic Embassy Suites Hotel. Nice rooms with 2 rooms (living room and bedroom), microwave refrigerator coffee maker, fold out couch. Free cocktails and snacks each night. Free breakfast w custom omlets. A pool, bar, and restaurant. A small gift shop with Monterey shwag and Starbucks coffee. We had a $15.00 daily credit to use, which went towards snacks and Starbucks. Close to Monterey warf and aquarium. I suggest taking an Uber to the aquarium from here as parking is a challenge by the aquarium. Everyone in our party of 10 had a good time. Shout out to the restaurant and gift shop staff! Great service truly wanted to make you happy! Thanks for a good time.

My nonprofit organization held its annual Banquet and Conference here in Oct. 2023. The staff were very responsive, the food was superb (we had two buffet meals), and our event ran smoothly. The suites are so much better than normal hotel rooms and the made-to-order omelets are a cant-miss item. Our regular attendees said this venue had the best food they could remember. Amazing service, Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I had 3 reservations back to back, the wonderful agent that checked me in handled it like a pro, she made sure my keys would work for the full stay and I wouldn’t have to checkout and back in. I appreciate that so much!! We got an amazing room with a balcony facing the ocean, the breakfast has a great variety. We had the carne asada omelette(Amazing!) and they serve Starbucks coffee with breakfast.

We had the best view outside our window. It was peaceful and calm here and staff was extremely nice. Im only giving it 3 stars though, because the room couldve been a bit cleaner. The walls looked dirty and there was a stain on one of the sheets. We also were told they provide cribs and we got a dirty looking pack and play (without the bassinet) for my newborn. Besides that it was a great experience.

This hotel charges Hilton fee for a motel services. It’s dirty, old, filthy. My roof had non working outlets. No slippers even upon a request. No usual bathroom shower gel, shower caps etc. no complimentary water in the room, no coffee or tea. Nothing at all.

Overall accommodations at embassy suites / Hilton are very nice. But be aware of added fees such as parking and not being allowed to use in hotel discounts on the day of checkout. My feeling is that as long as I am registered with the hotel, I am a guest until I check out, and any discounts should be honored. I am certain the Hilton family does not need my extra nickel and dimes. My family and mine stay with the grandchildren was to see the Monterey Bay aquarium in California, which was nearby. I think a shuttle service could also have been available.

Solid 3.5 stars. Id give them 5 stars if they would change out their old mattresses and furniture for newer ones. They allowed me to try multiple matresses from different rooms, but they were all the same. I dont enjoy feeling springs or hearing them when I sleep. So I ended up buying an air mattress so I could sleep comfortably. The couch and loveseat also looks really old and outdated. It resembles the couch we had in the 80s. The balcony in the room and their breakfast is the reason why the family and I always choose this place.

Nice place to stay. Away from the traffic but close enough to everything. Only downfall was I got charged about $50 extra fees a night. Destination fee, suite fee, just to name a few. Breakfast was good for being free. They need to get more c r am cheese for the bagels.

It was about asking the right person. The pool and fitness area serve their purpose with operating equipment. The staff were mostly very friendly. We were on the 12th floor facing the bay it was beautiful. The rooms were big had a private balcony had a little living room bedroom bathroom was big. We have stayed at embassy suites many times never had a problem until this one. Was sitting on the toilet and something flew out over my head come to find out it was just coming from the air vent behind the toilet when I looked I found that it was full of lint it didnt look like anybody had vacuumed there for years. This was our second day as I was looking out the window in the bedroom I looked down and in the slide area for the window there were bugs that had died that were not vacuumed out and dust. I was pretty upset with this this is not the way the embassy suites usually is. Wed also about Haagen-Dazs ice cream downstairs the night before and you know how expensive Häagen-Dazs ice cream is but its good. That night we had some cake we wanted with the ice cream My wife went into the freezer and our ice cream had turned to milkshake we both were not very happy at all. Hope youre going to advertise refrigerator freezer you should make sure that your freezer is working right. So all in all it was a good stay I would probably stay here again mainly for the view and the rest of the room but I would definitely make sure that it was clean and everything was working before I took the room. And the breakfast are always good theyre not the greatest like if you were to go out but they do a good job.

This hotel is a decent staying place if you want to be close to the highway and happen to be Hilton members. They dont give you any free upgrades or perks for being gold/diamond members, but you can use your points for stays.The hotels age shows in the rooms. Rooms are updated, but there are very visible signs of wear and tear on the furniture, in the balcony area, windows, etc so do not expect a luxury stay.Service at the hotel was top notch and so was the breakfast. If you are in the area for views and walks to cute towns, stay in the towns. If you want driving accessibility and 10 minutes drive to Carmel, Monterey, etc., then this could work out for you.

My family came to Seaside for a weekend getaway. This hotel exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a nice ocean view, dont stay here. All you hear is very loud road noise, no ocean waves even at night. You have the view of a little lake/pond beyond the busy road below and a tiny bit of the ocean in the distance. For $350 per night on a Monday, its not worth the money. The shower curtain does not fully contain the water so you will have an additional pond on the floor. Oh, and dont slide the pocket door all the way closed in the bathroom or you wont get out. It gets stuck. I wanted to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view but it was just too noisy and I dont mean crashing waves. And the coffee in the room was stale and nasty...again at $350 per night...no...The breakfast was good but again the coffee not representative of what one would expect for $350 per night. The customer service was impeccable and the room was clean and comfortable but I can get that at a Hampton for way less money. Im thankful for the excellent customer service which is non-existent these days as the front desk rep took us to see the potential upgrade before upgrading. It was a downgrade for me unless I had a few more people with me and needed two bedrooms. The view was non-existent.

This is probably the greediest hotel I’ve ever had to deal with. I booked a birthday trip for my son and reserved a room here. A month before the trip i found out we would not be able to go due to an important matter. A month before my reservation date I called to inquire about a refund and was told i would not get a refund and would be charged the full amount.. keep in mind the reservation was already paid in full and has been since the day I booked it. So since they wouldn’t give me a refund, i tried to change the date of the trip to a later date we would be able to attend and that was not granted as well. Giving someone a month in advance notice and still not working with them is unacceptable. That is more than enough time for someone else to book the room. I will never book at this hotel again. To take that much money from a hardworking single parent is just wrong especially when I went about things the correct way.*Update*: the response they commented below is not true at all lol I did not receive a discount on my booking but people will say anything to save face🤷🏻‍♀️ as a person who believes in second chances it’s disappointing to see so I’d give them a 0 star rating if I could and like i stated, will never book with them again!

Visiting the aquarium and expected to pay up for weekend rates because of the area. Experienced pros and cons here.Booked two separate 2 double beds with pullout sofa for party of 10. All double beds were terrible and sunk in like a deep valley in the middle. One suite didn’t have the security latch to stop door from opening in, while the other did. Pullout sofa is fine for kids, not adults. Weak water pressure for showers but the water was hot. Loved the extra air purifiers in rooms inlight of the pandemic but don’t know how well maintained they were as far as changing out filters. Ac worked well.Free parking and breakfast buffet as expected from Embassy Suites. Big, open parking lot is a plus. Staff bussing tables and dishes were awesome and quick at cleaning tables and clearing dishes. They deserve a raise. Plenty of food at buffet consisting of scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, apple, and orange. Coffee drinkers in my group all said the Starbucks branded coffee was weak and watery. Love the Minute Maid juice machine, especially the passion fruit juice. Breakfast buffet seating is limited with our group size and avoid 8-9 am if you want a seat even if you have a smaller party. Made to order omelettes, eggs and pancakes was a long wait with 12 people in front of me. Both cooks were great and got all of the orders correct. Management needs to provide more help with the rush. It wasn’t worth the wait as my party had to wait for me to finish eating.On side note, Hotel staff should either tell guests or have signs that show buffet setup has 2 serving lines. Everybody was lining up on inside line with the bread facing the seating area but there was another serving line with the dry cereal and hot oatmeal that was completely empty. I happened upon it while wandering around after my party had already got food and sat down to eat.

This may be my favorite hotel ever! We were lucky enough that our whale watch got canceled due to high winds, so we were able to come back a couple of days later for another night. The staff here was the best! Super friendly, super accommodating, and just made the experience that much better! Nice view from the room. Lots of space, and the room was very clean. We had a great time at the evening social, and breakfast was excellent. Starbucks coffee, and made-to-order omelets and pancakes along with a huge variety of other choices. Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife while on vacation. Frequent fliers of Embassy Suites, and this location is exactly on par with what youd expect from the brand.The location of this hotel is fine, with close proximity to a variety of restaurants, a gas station, easy to get to the wharf area in Monterey.We stayed in a standard king room, and it is the typical 2-room suite layout in most Embassy locations. The room as clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower worked great the first night, but the second night it did not get very hot. It was late, so we did not bother trying the front desk about it. Both TVs in the room were equipped with a Chromecast that had a web portal you could sync a device to. Very nifty being able to cast from our phones, something every hotel should adopt!The breakfast was top notch for a complimentary buffet. Eggs/omelets cooked to order, a variety of other hot and cold breakfast items, juice/coffee/soda, baked goods etc. The happy hour at night (included in the room rate!) was great, and had 2 specialty drinks, beer, wine, and well liquor available. The drinks are very standard, but they are absolutely free! There are also light snacks available. We did not use the pool or gym, though both looked clean. The pool is indoors, but did not appear to be heated.One thing to note: parking fee is $20, and there is also a resort fee of $15/night that is charged. The resort fee includes wifi, bike rental, and a $15/credit for the gift shop or restaurant. We figured either way youre paying $15 per day extra, so we used $15 at the gift shop both days for snacks & coffee. There is a Starbucks inside the gift shop which this applies to!

First time at this hotel and we loved it! My family and I decided to stay a distance from the main attractions and Im glad we did. The hotel offeres an indoor pool, restaurant, free breakfast and evening reception. The food was great and atmosphere was enjoyable. Only issue was with Housekeeping. I felt rushed! They will keep knocking on your door before check-out to rush you out, even if you tell them not to. That wasnt enough to bring down the hotel star rating.

Stayed here while attending a conference in Monterey. Location is perfect and left is with a small drive to the conference center.Chose this site because of the addition amenities that accompany the stay. The included breakfast buffet and made to order pancakes and omelettes are a great way to start the day and a great value. There was an evening reception that included lite snacks and drinks in the bar/restaurant. Just be sure to tip the bartender...that dude is hustling!There is an large indoor pool and a very well planned fitness center, along with bikes that can be rented just outside the lobby doors...which would be great to take a long the seaside trail towards Monterey.Best of all is the attentiveness and communication of the front desk. You get a text just after checking in that can be used to get things like an extra blanket that seemed to be missing from the extra pillow and blanket bag for the hide-a-bed in the couch.

This hotel has quite nice large rooms, with comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, and large open spaces to relax in.The complimentary cocktails and breakfast were a nice touch too! My drink was actually quite good considering it was on the house and breakfast was hot and fresh!The reason for four stars is because I had an issue with the AC in the rooms, but they did promptly move me and my gf to a new room immediately after calling about it. Unfortunately, the new room wasnt able to hold a steady temperature either. We had our AC set at 65 and the first room kept slowly increasing and got up to the mid 70s and the second room seemed to hover right around 67, not bad. It was the middle of May when we stayed and the outside temperature was in the low 50s at night, so it could have been quite uncomfortable if this had happened during the summer.The windows do open, but youll be listening to a busy intersection and freeway, so if youre a light sleeper that wont be an option for you.Overall, it wasnt a bad experience. Staff was very helpful and attentive and the included (not free, but still a good deal) drinks and breakfast makes this hotel a great experience.

I was with my husband and children and our room was the king bed and living room with balcony view of the ocean. Was lovely and size of the room worked great for us. Best hotel experience ever. I was there for my sixth wedding anniversary. We were initially going to stay at Monterey Tides because of the view. We were devastated when we found out our room would be facing the parking lot with an $1100 price tag. We scrambled to find another hotel and were told at every other hotel that they were completely booked. We would have needed to book in advance after leaving the parking lot of Monterey Tides and calling multiple hotels before the sun went down. We saw a large hotel and decided to try our luck going inside, fingers crossed that we would get a room. Room 1210 was the best saved our weekend. I am an honors member. The hotel was beautiful and clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The amenities were attractive, and they even let me have a late check out due to me having an ER emergency and spending the night in Carmel. I am forever grateful and cannot wait to return to this hotel—top Tier quality and experience. I couldnt ask anything more. Truly the best.

Im severely disappointed by the service at the Embassy Suites Seaside. I normally prefer Hilton locations because of their higher standards, but this experience will have me looking at different options. The stay in itself was fine, its what happened after my check out that made me extremely disappointed. I left a jacket in my closet, and called the front desk the same day, they told me there was nothing they could do about it. Called a second time and was told to fill out a form and that they would follow up. I Finally gave up after multiple calls and messages, when I was told the person responsible for room service was out for a week. I wanted to think that my jacket was in a lost and found bin somewhere and that it was not taken by the staff, but them being so adamant on providing updates or checking makes me believe otherwise. The only reason I received a response a month later was because I called corporate for help. Ive forgotten things in the past, at different locations, and when the staff finds it, they have been friendly enough to ship it to me. In summary, double check before leaving or avoid this place overall. Either they dont want to help you, or are keeping lost items for themselves.

We travel frequently and Embassy is our go to hotel. We were sent an upgrade before checking in. I inquired with front desk manager Elihu Banuelos. He indicated that it was not in our system. Along with getting everything to our room, The staff was so kind and helpful. Once in our room we noticed a awful strong odor of cigarette smoke in the bedroom. We called the front desk they sent someone up and they sprayed the carpet with a orange chemical. The smell went away briefly but came back so we aired out the room and one of our guest brought a air freshener, problem solved.I noticed several areas in the room that look damage from water or even slightly moldy above the sliding doorway. In the bathroom the wall paper had bubbling from water damage. We didn’t think much of it and cleaned what we could and brushed off the rest.We went to the pool it was great my 3year old had a blast. When we came back up to the room we noticed the carpeted floor in the bathroom was wet. We thought one of our guest left a wet towel and put down a large bath towel to soak up the damp carpet. After dinner I came back to put up the towel to dry and it was FULLY SOAKED. We called the front desk they sent the engineer to check the problem couldn’t find one they gave us more towels to soak it up. Our bedroom was getting hot so I went to turn the AC on and it was blowing out warm air so we called the front desk and then sent the engineer again they check the ac found the valve was shut off. Sweet another problem solved and we thought also the water problem. Wrong right after my son went to sleep I went to shower and the carpet was soaked all the way to the sliding door of the bathroom. I called the front desk and told them the issue they sent more towels and apologized for the problem at hand. Thankfully we only booked for one night.Breakfast was great but you better be quick to get downstairs in the morning for breakfast especially if you want to have their made fresh egg omelette. Which was delicious. Breakfast was nice. Seating was hard to come by.On our was checking out we noticed water damage outside of our room immensely worsened overnight so much that the wallpaper was pealing off!Over all service was always fast and helpful. Great view from the room but couldn’t have the windows open because of the fans on the roof on the build below were so loud. Over all I’d say the embassy suites were good but it could use some serious upgrading. “it would have been nice to switch rooms, to avoid the problems” we did file a complaint and were comped Hilton Honors points.

Our room was not clean at all. There was sticky stuff on the mini fridge. Hair all over the bathroom. Pillows on the couch had grease and food on them. Some of the lights didnt work. It was obvious the room hasnt been vacuumed. We called about our complaints because we dont like leaving bad reviews and we wanted to enjoy this beautiful view. There was no response.However- the view was lovely on our dirty patio. Staff interactions were good. The free breakfast and evening reception were so great. The room was very soundproof. I would have been happy to give five stars if I didnt stay in a room full of someone elses mess with very little attention to detail.

The incredible bartender Derrick that we met on Friday evening was fabulous. We had heard that he was the best Martini Maker around. We started with Raspberry Martini’s, then went with the bartenders choice. A great decision on our part for sure. The next up was an Elderflower Martini, and Wow!!! It was marvelous, both sweet and dry. I would definitely order that one again. Then we had a Nigroni Martini, and again it was just perfection! Another one to have next time we come… Next up was the Hot and Dirty Martini. This will now be my go to Martini forever. A bit spicy and a bit dirty from the olive juice. We stayed two nights. Evening reception is nice, breakfast was also good and staff very friendly. My concerns are related to the cleanliness. The first night we stayed my son started sneezing non stop after we pulled out the sofa sleeper mattress and asked for a blanket as there was none for the sleeper. After looking at the door tag I saw our room was a pet friendly room. I asked if the room had pets stay there recently and the lady at the front desk informed me ALL their rooms are pet friendly. I may have overlooked this online but we didnt know upon checking in. She did say there were TWO rooms ( in the entire hotel) that had air filters built in. I dont know that it wouldve made a difference but my son was miserable. Carpets and furnace obviously not cleaned of pet dander. I asked if they had an air purifier that we could use, long shot, but no they didnt. I could see the sofa pillows were not clean, literally a different shade of yellow from where they were exposed to use. I know its not a luxury hotel but cleanliness shouldnt be based on the price tag. Also we gave our babies a bath and the tub was chipping, there were white paint flakes all over the bath water, toxic! We brought in take out food and took out the garbage outside our room to the larger garbage can near the ice machine on sunday night. Tuesday morning when we were checking out, it was still there along with other peoples garbage piled up, pizza boxes, take out bags. Not sure why it wasnt getting picked up. Even though the amenities were convenient, I would think twice before staying here.

I brought my 13yo son to celebrate my birthday. Checked in through the app it was simple. My digital key worked perfectly. Our bay view room was clean and comfortable. The view was inspiring. We ordered a movie and relaxed. In the morning we had a cooked to order omelet and pancake. Delicious! The staff was professional and pleasant. We went to Cannery Row, explored all the shops and bought souvenirs. The aquarium was sold out…so buy tickets in advance. I stayed at this Hotel 2 night this month with my young adult kids for old memory sake, we would stay there twice a year for a week while my ex husband would go to work. we always made wonderful memories and always went perfect. their father passed away last winter and we went back but this time with out him but to remember our time there as a family. It was remodel and a bit different but never the less it was a wonderful experience. I stayed on the premium ocean view king suite on the 11th floor and it was beautiful and clean, always enjoyed the afternoon lobby snacks and their breakfasts buffet all is fresh and their made to order egg omelet is always a great bonus. We do miss the Koi fish pond that would surround the table and buffet area that was always fun and lovely I guess it was too costly yo keep them or wasnt part of their re-model plan so e will miss those.

The location is great! It’s closed to the state beach with walking distance, and it’s closed by Carmel by the Sea. The service here is excellent, and staff are friendly as effective. The complimentary breakfast also has fresh to cook omelette on demand, and afternoon snack/drink. Some of guests here do wear masks and follow the guideline in the elevator with limit of 2 people, but most of the time people just try to squeeze into the elevators. This is a very nice hotel and our room had a partial view of the bay. The location is good for visiting Monterrey, but maybe just a little too far north. The bed in the suite was super comfy. The breakfast was good and they have made to order omelettes.It is a little older, but you can barely tell because it is well maintained and updated. We did have to call because the electrical outlet in the bathroom was worn out and didn’t work, but they fixed it right away. The front desk staff was always friendly and accommodating with no long waits.I was disappointed they have no daily housekeeping due to Covid even in fall 2021. This is the first hotel I have stayed in since the pandemic started that had this policy. I expect more from a higher end facility.

Love Embassy Suites and I have been a Hilton Honors Member for years.Great location with a clean environment however.......I knocked off 3 stars for charging a mandatory DAILY destination fee of $15 ABOVE the cost of the hotel.They advertise the fee by saying, SMALL CHANGE BIG FUN. They will give you a credit of $15 to spend in the hotel.By charging this mandatory fee above the cost of the room they are increasing hotel revenue while making sure they look competitive in the search engines. After all, you may not have chosen them if the price was $15 higher. Since you HAVE to spend the credit in their hotel they are showing an increase in sales for the department you spend your credit. That SMALL CHANGE adds up to millions of dollars in additional revenue.We, consumers, have choices, and I will not be choosing this hotel again for this reason.SMALL CHANGE = Equaled loss of 3 stars and a customer.

The hotel staff seemed rushed when they checked me in. I pointed out that called ahead about a pet fee they said it would be $75 I said I had already agreed to that then they never gave me the pet agreement form. Then I went up to my room and I got a phone call from the front desk saying that I forgot to sign the form before heading up to my room. When I got back down to the front desk they acted like it was my fault for forgetting to be given the form which was super confusing and I felt pretty rude (This was a different person Im guessing this lady was the manager?). The breakfast in the morning was actually pretty fantastic it was really hard to get downstairs because there were only two of the three elevators working Then when we went to leave our room on the 7th floor it became clear that it was going to be impossible to get down without walking down seven flights because someone had shut down one of the two remaining elevators. Based on the size of the building with just three elevators its barely serviceable for the amount of people that can check in when its full. When its down to two elevators its pretty hard to get downstairs without waiting 15 minutes. When its down to one elevator the elevator always goes to the top floor and picks up people and by the time it gets to the middle floors its full so you can never get down. Its extremely poor customer service and just downright inconsiderate to not let your guests check out of the hotel so they can get about with their day. The rooms were clean.

The layout of our corner suite was perfect for our family of three adults. It had a solid bedroom door that was helpful when someone wanted to be up early or stay up late without disturbing sleepers. The view of the parking lot was disappointing, but the beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was quiet. When I first checked in at 4:30pm, the person couldn’t find my name on the reservation and asked me to tell her what room I was staying in. I found the one I had selected on the app, she gave me the keys, and I went up to the room with my things.Later at 9:30pm, I charged an item from the gift shop to my room and walked around. I assured her it was not empty as I held the key to the room in my pocket and my possessions and family were currently in the room. The woman continued by aggressively asking me the name of who checked me in. When I told her I didnt know, she made me describe the woman. It was extremely unprofessional.The room and the entire hotel felt unclean and poorly managed.Our suite was perpetually damp and musty. We ran the A/C the entire time (even though we were cold) trying to air the place out with no success. The carpets were very badly stained, and there was dirt all over the floors and walls.The pool area smelled badly of human waste, causing us to miss out on an amenity we had expected would be available.A fire alarm was set off at 6am causing hundreds of people to flood the stairwell just to be told that it was an electrical problem and to return to our rooms. However, the room keys didn’t work without the mobile app. With a small child in our group, it was a very unpleasant way to start our day.I tried to submit this complaint through the contact support form but the webpage is broken.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a delta vacation package. When we checked in I was advised that a $15 credit was part of the package and I could make a purchase at the restaurant or gift shop and charge it to my room and the credit would be applied. I made a $19 purchase at the gift shop and charged it to my room. Later that evening I got a text notification from the credit card I used for incidentals for a $36 charge. I stopped by the front desk and spoke with Phoenix (no name tag) and she took my contact info and promised to look into it and call me back, but never did. At 6:30 am the next morning the fire alarm went off and everyone was evacuated to the parking lot. After over 1 hour we were allowed to reenter. Since we were checking out that morning I stopped at the front desk to inquire about the charge and to request a copy of my bill and was told due to the fire alarm the computers were down. The same girl who promised to investigate the charge was there as was her manager. I explained everything to the manager again. She went to the back and grabbed the gift shop paper receipts and found my charge and was able to confirm the charge was $19 not $36. She assured me she would fix it once the computer came back up and would call me to confirm the correction. It’s been 4 days and still no call from either person. I have no clue if the issue was corrected and have not received a copy of my bill. I am a Hilton honors member and expect a minimal level of customer service and professionalism… I am very disappointed and frustrated.

I didnt enjoy this hotel at all and would not recommend. Front desk was not helpful or friendly at all. I requested a quiet room and they didnt even attempt to accommodate, made me stay right near the elevator on a middle floor. Bed felt like something our of a budget motel, very hard and sagging in the middle. Its also very loud and I was woken up early every morning by neighbors and hall noise. Window didnt seal and the outside air & sound came in. Room also smelled very musty and had water stains running down the wall. Save yourself the disappointment and stay elsewhere.

Embassy Suites are one of the best hotels in the world. We always try to stay with them every time we take road trips and we have never been disappointed. For a few extra money,we received the upgraded room with the ocean view..which was super beautiful and very roomy. The hot breakfast is excellent and you get special made omelets and pancakes by professional chefs 👨‍🍳..staff members are very well trained, in the sense that they are courteous, have great knowledge of the hotel and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is a great experience. Staying with the Embassy Suites is your moneys worth and where great service and hospitality is utter most important.

Love this property because its several stories high, pleasant staff, complimentary breakfast and happy hour. No hot tub/jacuzzi which surprised me; there is a gift shop, pool, fitness center (water dispenser not working when we were there). Generously-sized suites! Looks like its not as maintained as well as when we visited in 2019. Quick access to everything in the area (17-mile Drive, Pebble Beach, Carmel, etc).

We were a little bit nervous booking far from Cannery row and so close to CA reopening from COVID but the location was GREAT. We were able to ride our bikes safely with our three small kids directly from the hotel to the aquarium and it was perfect. The breakfast in the morning was great- kid and grown up approved. They have an app and text feature that make it super easy to ask for whatever you need- towels, etc. We actually added another night to our stay.

Prepaid for a stay here through expedia. My wife had a serious life episode which required us to be in the hospital. I cancelled 2 days before reservation and the hotel refused to refund my money. Basically said who cares about your wife we are more interested keeping your money. Very poor customer service. All I say is this property is not concerned about you at all just the money. This ends my stays at embassy suites from now on.

I always choose Embassy Suites when I can. I know that I will always get a clean room and good service. I enjoy the indoor pools so I can swim year round and the cook to order breakfast is a family favorite. Having a suite is the best situation for us as we are one early riser and one who loves to sleep in. In Monterey, we had a two bedroom corner suite. The balcony and the views were perfect!

Breakfast has cook to order(omelet and pancake), buffet bar(breakfast sausage, scarambled egg,fruits,yogurt), teas, coffees, hot water, also a bakery. Those are all complimentary.This is so far the best hotel that I have stayed so far, enjoyed it and look forward to be staying at Embassy suits in other cities.And one thing to remember, bring some dollars to tip your server and chef that cook breakfast for you. I think most people forget because it is morning....

The shower head needed to be updated. Very slow water pressure & the mattress is very uncomfortable. But wed stay again for a short trip. Not too long with that mattress though. And I never understand full size beds. How are couples supposed to sleep comfortably?The room & hotel was very clean. Good parking. Good location. Very nice staff.

Love this place! Always been a fan of Embassy Suites and since it had been awhile since staying in one, we were very much looking forward to staying here. The room was clean, comfortable and the premium floor service was outstanding.The night before arrival I was able to use the HH app to request a specific room that was not showing available for check-in. Ended up with a great view of the bay and Monterey, thanks to the rep. We appreciated the snack bags however would love for juices to be included as opposed to soda. It is likely that if asked, they may have switched the sodas for us but it was fine. When my 9 year old called down and asked for another snack bag on our 2nd day, they graciously gave her another. Not sure if this is typical, since due to covid the bags are kept at the front desk and not left in the rooms.Breakfast was awesome as usual. Clean and efficient. Always best to get your food early. Between 8-9 AM it was packed and with most not wearing masks and just carelessly not trying to socially distance, we appreciated the to-go plates and lids. The pool was clean, warm and not heavily used when we went for a swim one evening.I love the water bottle fountain and MB Aquarium visuals in the lobby and the rental bikes were super fun - the front desk provided free helmets and locks. There are two trails within 100 feet of the hotel however sadly noted several people without shelter posted up along the way in tents/forts - this is an unfortunate city/state of CA issue though. Regardless, we definitely plan to stay here again.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. While its always a challenge trying to navigate the pandemic hurdles, the hotel did a great job of making it a safe environment. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and most importantly for us (traveling with a toddler) pretty quiet between rooms. The only complaint I had is the road noise being so close to the intersection and police station, we heard all the traffic. Our fridge was also VERY cold and froze all our food/ drinks although that is likely a room by room situation.The breakfast bar was great, the omelet station was very good and chef was wonderful and very accommodating for us and my daughters food allergies. The happy hour reception was also nice, i wish we could have utilized it more (again toddler fun lol). When we come back we will definitely be staying here again.

We live about an hour away and usually venture out to the beach for a daycation. We decided to spend Christmas Eve out in Monterey and picked a lovely family friendly place. This particular location is awesome. They have great staff and front desk employees. The hotel was super clean and well lit. Our suite didnt have the ocean view, but we didnt mind. Their happy hour and free breakfast buffet is fabulous. We liked the amenities and extra snacks for the kids. Just a great place to stay. We will stay here again.

It is little far form centre of montrey bay. We stayed there for one night. It was mentioned on website the pool is hot, but water seems to be cold in the month of November. Also they have evening snacks thats complimentary.

Excellent service with modern facilities. The rooms themselves were a bit dated e.g., furniture but overall did not detract from the experience. I was greeted by John on arrival and he helped switch to my preferred accommodations. Everything from the complimentary breakfast and nightly reception to the central location and beautiful modern architecture, this hotel sets itself apart from the competition. The only thing that was missing was a hot tub!

I had a wonderful stay. On Wednesday morning The Omelette I had was so good that I went back on Thursday to get the same. The gentleman on Thursday didnt know how to fix an omelet that was up to par. It is very near the beach and everyone is friendly. The gentleman who work the evening reception for wonderful. Especially Danny. Breakfast was decent if you like eggs and pancakes, however not many options for my vegan wife. The bathroom floor was sticky and had a stain and the biggest let down was the pool. The pool was literally frothy, it didnt look clean or even remotely inviting. Which was a big let down and will avoid staying here unless I have to, for that sole reason.Overall I could have stayed at a nicer place for the price/points.Other things to note- there are a ton of families that stay here, which means noisy, sometimes badly behaved kids everywhere. Running down hallways and more.The wait for the elevator is always long.On the plus side, they have 1 kid free hour at the pool. Which would have been wonderful, but the pool was filthy, frothing and had tons of foam on the top. Did not look safe to useThey do not have a hot tub

My wife and I had an overall great time at the hotel ... room was pretty clean (sink/toilet needed more wiping and window had some mildew or dirt), bed was comfy, food was good and overall it was good. Our main issue was the non-functioning AC in the room. There was no circulation at all and made the room stuffy and hot after a shower. Also there was no fan in the bathroom to recycle the air. Won’t having a bunch of rooms with no air circulating cause mold and mildew? Hilton should fix this issue ASAP before a bigger problem arises.

Good amenities. The happy hour was great for our kids, and breakfast was good. Unfortunately, some issues with basics. HVAC in room doesnt seem to do anything and thermostat buzzes. TV having issues. AVOID AVOID AVOID - unless you like hauling your luggage up multiple flights of stairs because the elevator is out of service, you love old sagging mattresses, showers that turn ice cold midway, slow-draining bathroom sinks, 1970’s furniture, $20 parking charges, mysterious $15 “fees” that you’re supposed to redeem for “an item in the lobby shop” the day before you check out…Feels like $75 a night would be the fair price for this hotel. The $350+ they charge for one night is a crime.

I love this location. Best customer service anywhere. The first room we were in didnt work for one of my guests so they found the perfect room to move us to. They always are willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy even if it is not their fault. Breakfast is amazing and evening receptions are nice as well for a quick snack. The hotel is very clean and everything looks new. It is a little more pricey for the location but totally worth it in my opinion.

I usually love this embassy but it has seem to go down hill with no disrespect to the staff. The room wasnt as clean as it should have been. So I cleaned it. I was thirsty late last night and realized all the vending machines on every floor didnt work/ were broken. The heater only blew in cold air so it was freezing because the hotel is near the ocean. The bed mattress is clearly broken but I endured during the night by sleeping on the couch because I was extremely tired. At 9am they literally shut down breakfast. Dinner was great last night though at the silvertide. I really didnt see a wide variety of customer service beyond the bar and restaurant. I wasnt satisfied with my stay. Hopefully this will improve at this restaurant

A pleasant hotel just off Highway 1. This isnt the first Embassy Suite Ive stayed in but I was surprised to find how similar they are. Got an upgrade for bay views with no additional charges which was nice. I did come during the off season however. Good things include a serviceable gym, pool, free evening reception and breakfast. The room is recently renovated and really nice. Staff is friendly and professional. Downsides include little privacy for breakfast, the noisy youth leadership conference held during my stay (though not the fault of the hotel) and a little on the costly side. Very comfortable place to stay if youre in the Monterey Bay area. Id book it again.

The rooms were comfortable and had a great view of the ocean. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We got a nice little welcome bag of candy though its probably because we have Hilton status. Breakfast was decent. Custom made omlette was good. Loved that the bathroom was outside the bedroom so we could get ready without disturbing people that were sleeping.
