My father is admitted to this hospital and while he was in the emergency room his nurse name Genesis is very helpful, nice and very respectful. She is the best ! Wonderful nurse. Thank you so much Genesis for taking care of my father and everyone at this hospital. I really appreciate all of you guys. Every one is very nice here. First time in this hospital and they are wonderful

I brought my 3 year old son in to the ER, he was sick and was breathing abnormally. The ER crew seen him within 15 minutes. And helped me so much with him. While we were waiting for a breathing treatment he started going pale in the face and I rushed him over to the doctor who started working on him right away with other nurses. He was given different tests and breathing treatments right away and had an IV put in They took us upstairs in the pediatrics level right away, and the Nurses were amazing! Thank you Nurse Toni👍 for everything. You made our 4 day stay so much better, and you were so attentive. So was Frances😊 and Alma😊. Our pediatric DR. TOUNG (I think thats how you spell it) was amazing and cared so much for my son, and didnt allow him to leave til she was 100% sure! Thank you to the respiratory team here at queen of the valley, you basically saved my son!

Extremely disappointed and angry with how both the doctors & nurses did not pass along crutial medical updates on how my dad was either progressing or declining during his 22 day stay at queen of the valley hospital. my dad is extremely hard of hearing and doesnt fully understand what is said if he cant hear it.imagine finding out that your dad is terminally ill on the 20th day of his hospital stay, when the medical records clearly state that beginning on his 3rd day there. the failure to keep family members informed is very unprofessional and unforgivable, but we are also partly to blame for assuming that when we were updated we believed that we were being give ALL the necessary information. my guess is they feel if they arent asked they dont tell.also trying to get anything after discharge has proven to be impossible, 2 weeks later i still cant get the paperwork to provide my employer for work days missed, even though the doctor clearly stated hed be willing to provide any and all needed paperwork. there is MUCH more i could add to this, but have chosen not to.bottomline is queen of the valley hospital FAILED my dad and family in a MAJOR way!!!!!

I have required Emergency Room services twice in the period of one month . During both visits I was greeted with care, concern, attentiveness, and above all thorough and professional treatment. The staff work quickly, and efficiently in order to tend to all patients. Physicians, Nurses, and Techs are highly knowledgeable, respectful, and truly want to see you feel better.

Ive been here quite a few times but last yr April 2nd 2023 I had the worst experience of my life. I was a gun shot victim and came to this emergency room the Nurse which was a male was extremely rude Im bleeding out hes literally saying you could have went to another hospital u have a phone. Why did you come here. Wasnt helping me luckily my family member showed up and kind if check the dude. But honestly it was the worst service ever and it seem like it had to do with race. Honestly everyone there is rude and seems like they hate their jobs. If you can avoid coming here do so. Best thing they did was transfer me to pomona hospital.

Lets see my cousin was transported via ambulance. Chief Complaint: vomiting, severe side pain and SOB for 2 weeks, 3 months pregnant. Weve been here going on 4 hours now just for them to hand her a cup for urine and to sit back in the waiting area, shes pale, lethargic and slumped over A+Ox1 slurred speech and still nothing has been done for her since leaving the house in an ambulance besides vitals. Im deeply concerned for my family member as any normal person would be and to top it off these ER Nurses want to give passive aggressive attitudes! Do Better QOTV. This hospital use to be staffed and ran perfectly and accordingly, now they would rather risk a wrongful death malpractice lawsuit than to take a little more time evaluating their patients or just being a Healthcare Worker. Ive worked Level 1 Trauma Hospitals with more urgent matters but still will make it a priority to see a Pregnant women with those symptoms, I just hope its anything but Racial Discrimination of us Hispanics with tattoos.

This hospital allows an MRI Truck to park close to our apartments(bedroom side), and making unacceptable noise every night. Every week the truck comes at 2am and woke us up, and the truck will stay for about 4 to 6 days. Our property manager and myself went to the truck and talked to them, they promised they will move the truck far away, but this never happened. They just come over and over every week. Keep making AC or some kind of machine noise for every night. I don’t know what to do now. They hospital should be a place to keep people healthy, and not a place to make people crazy and sick! （If the hospital moves the truck far away from our apartment, I will delete this comment）

One of the most horrible experiences I have had with a hospital and a Doctor. Very authoritative behavior from staff seems as though they do not care about the patients . Treated horrible and I felt discriminated against because of how I look. Dr. Choe sung was the doctor and surgeon had me wait there then cancelled on me because I had to many questions very bad doctor probably good I didn’t get the surgery done by him. Next was treated and talked down to by Wendy Ferro Grant she talked down to me and even got in my face stating that she can do what she wants and won’t be fired. It was a horrible experience and truly traumatizing to experience especially by those that are suppose to take care of your health and made and oath to do so. I am reporting to the state board and hope that anyone else that sees this and has experienced discrimination and maltreatment here do the same. Make sure you also read the paperwork I read everything through and they tried to force me to sign the paper indicating I give consent for students to practice on me.

I checked in at Queen of the Valley emergency room. No wheelchair provided even though I complained of severe chest pain / rib & epigastric pain and got dizzy after receiving intramuscular Morphine. I was made to walk from emergency room to x-ray department. I was sent home still with same pain. I decided to go to Cedars Sinai emergency room. I was admitted and stayed in the hospital for almost 3 days.

Some nurses give passive aggressive attitudes and dont do a good job checking in on you. Sometimes it seems like they forget to check in on you when they know you are waiting for their help. They give the impression like they dont even want to work there, there just there to receive a paycheck and they dont care to provide great service to their patient.

I recently had surgery and had to stay for five days to recover. I met some of the most outstanding nurses during this.But one in particular just made my stay amazing. Darren P was my nurse for three shifts and he was my discharge nurse. I wouldnt have wanted anyone else.I hope that if anyone has to stay here, they get him as their nurse.

A couple of days ago I was transported to Emanate Health Queen of the Valley Hospital . I had no choice ambulance would only take me to nearest hospital. Worst hospital ever, not only it was dirty, but while seating at Nurses Area for a few hrs. I watch cockroaches 🪳 walking on the walls. I complains and nurse said it was a mosquito. Which led me to believe they already knew they had a problem

This place deserve a rating below 0. We came on vacation to California and sadly my daughter was having a terrible fever and cough that sounded to me like difficulty breathing. When I arrived the hospital looks and is super filthy. They placed me in an open area with all sorts of people. The doctors do not practice privacy in this place. Hello HIPPA. I could hear the doctors speaking out loud about their patients with their interns. The PA that I got would forget about us and had us waiting for hours for a simple COVID test results. She kept telling me she had to review the results and then would forget about us. I had to constantly be reminding them we were there. They checked my daughters fever right when we arrived and I literally had to check the nurse to come give her something for the fever. The nurse that checked her rectal temp kept sticking the probe all the way in. I literally had to yank it back out. My poor baby. Then she couldn’t get a heart rate or oxygen level. It was making super frustrated. The whole experience was horrific. I walked out after the doctor said oh “they haven’t told you yet? your daughter has COVID” I was literally falling asleep with my feverish baby in the middle of the hall way and then they tell me that. Like no sr obviously not because I’m still here nobody is told my anything I’ve been waiting and clearly was forgotten about.

Hi I feel the need to write a review after the experience my mother received at this hospital or doctors on the fourth floor? My mother and I walked into a room, where a pediatric doctor was accompanied by a gynecology amongst other services. She went to the far right to try to be seen by a doctor. The ladies at the front were on the computer and I was charging my phone waiting for my mom. I looked at one of the receptionist who seemed to be sleeping and the main lady talking to my mom told her that her insurance wasn’t active. My mom was explaining her symptoms and the lady very rudely told her “if you feeling I’ll you should put your mask up” it was really out of character to her and instead of offering my mother resolutions to fix her insurance or direct her to someone who could help her she was stand offish and seemed to stuck up to care. You’re in healthcare! Respect and empathy should be given to everyone and it was a terrible experience.

The wait time was long but MUCH faster than other ERs. You may have to wait a bit for test results but oftentimes they at least will get you seen by a doctor and get your tests done fairly quickly unless they are busier than usual. Good security here. Mostly nice staff. One of the front desk workers was a bit rude. They dont have time to answer all your questions but at least they will attempt to answer the most important ones.Update on 2-27-24: if you have to have an embarrasing type of test done at radiology, be prepared for smirks and snickers when you bring it up. Very embarassing and unprofessional. I wont be going back.Also there are tests they dont even do here but should. Good luck if you need one of those tests done.And if they tell you you dont need an appintment, dont believe them. Insist on an appointment! Or you will show up expecting to be seen that day only ro he told you needed an appointment. Huge waste of time.

Security is extremely rude and has no compassion for visitors. Sebastian Flores a security guard who was working the front desk the day that I came to visit my Grandmother refused to let me enter the facility to drop off medication to my grandmother. He told me that someone would be down to take the medication from me but when I asked who would be coming down he told me “he did not have time for me and that he was too busy.” I expressed that I understood he was busy but that this was my family and that I was just trying to make sure the meds got into the right hands. He proceed to yell In front of the everyone, that I was bothering him and he had no time for me. So I proceeded to yell back that he had no compassion and should work on this since he was working in the hospital dealing with sick patients and the people who love them. I added his pic at the bottom a long with a witness who was there for the whole thing.

Been in here since Tuesday. Drs do not listen. Nurses let samples sit in the room not sending them for testing. All the doctors Ive seen here are new and inexperienced Drs who are just learning. Mostly interns it seems No experienced Drs if you can avoid this hospital like the plague unless you can request a patient care advocate.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone going there. Poor quality nurses, poor quality hospital Many of their nurses are young faces and inexperienced. They don’t know what they are doing. My father was hospitalized over there, the nurse even didn’t know how to hang the IV Antibiotic bag. Rude and lazy nurse at night, didn’t even come to my dad’s room and check on him.

CNP Rosanna was a very rude lady, i asked for my mothers doctor to find out placement for her and all i was met with was rude sarcasm “it’s not that easy to get ahold of a doctor” and a smile she gave me. How disgusting. Nobody but our doctor knows whether or not my mother has placement plans, i understand it’s difficult to reach doctors but they want my mother out the day after surgery and the doctor is yet to tell any of us anything!! I tried to get ahold of RN Anna 29321 for over 45 minutes, and got one response saying nothing is set up for my mother, and again they want to send her out the day after surgery with no where to go?! The nurses seem to be avoiding our questions. My mother deserves better than this, she and her family deserve to know if she has a place to heal. This is unprofessional.

I can not even begin on how terrible my experience was at the hospital with the night nurses in the emergency room but he it goes I came in with a fever of 102.0 chest pain trouble breathing waited patiently while waiting for care that never came they just sat me down nurses making fun or patients making jokes never provided me with nothing for my fever and all while them talking loud and cussing while this hospital or any hospital should be treated with respects for patients i had to leave while nurses laughed and rolled there eyes because I wanted to speak to someone in charge with how horrific my experience came I left but felt so help less for all the other patients that were elderly patients that I hope and pray they get the proper care they need 😢 0 stars

On October 8th, 2021, I was brought to the E.R to the Queen of the Valley hospital.. after being examined by Doctors I was admitted for Back Surgery. It was performed on Oct.10th and from that moment it has been a life changing experience for me,, I realized that listening to these Doctors and nurses has made me find myself and by getting educated to know my body, my health and my well-being.. After surgery I was admitted to the 4th floor in the physical Rehabilitation / Therepy for recovery department with Dr. Lindberg a top notch doctor at Queen of the Valley hospital..I got to know several nurses that were in charge of my stay there.. Miyuki, Olympia, Chester & Carla jus to name a few.. Very special nurses that were taking care of me while I was there.. Chester & Carla never missed a beat when it came to pain management and medications..They always brought me snacks ( pudding 🍮) when i requested one ..Always going beyond their duties jus for me. Miyuki and Olympia were in charge of my discharge on Oct. 24 2021..Miyuki is very special in regards to being the best of the best in my eyes of all nurses. Showed me how important my health really is. And then there is the sweetest nurse of all, named Olympia ( honey bunches of oats) her fav. cereal. Simply a joyful to uplift your spirits and put a smile on you. Cant get enough of this team of nurses that made my stay as if I was on vacation, I have to say these nurses are unmatched in their professionalism and work ethics. I will always remember them by visiting them with sweet goodies to show how much I appreciate this fabulous crew of nurses .

I told her please for at least 1 day prescription to help my pain was severe as I have 5 herniated disk in my back. Very disappointed in how I was treated . Please treat patients better.

This place sucks sooo bad!!! The ER is terrible. Plan on waiting a good 8 hours in the ER and good luck trying to get a bed. There are people hooked up to IVs sitting in the waiting room. No one gets a room. Oh and good luck finding a seat. Multiple people begged the nurses and staff to please provide more chairs only to be ignored. Ive been to veterinarians that were more compassionate and attentive.

The ER room is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. Honestly, I do not know how this place stays open, it looks like a scene from a scary movie. The Dr we happen to get for my 19 month old was a gem but everyone else, rude! Trash on the floors, some stuff look like it’s been there for some time. A poor pregnant girl came in with bleeding and we could all hear her screaming in pain while she had a miscarriage, they didn’t even close her door! No urgency, no compassion and definitely no etiquette. This place needs some serious attention!!

My best friend who is an elderly lady who does not speak English is at that hospital with a broken arm n she tells me when I went to visit her today that she has been pressing the button for help and an idiot guy who is the nurse just comes in turn the button off and don’t even ask her what she needs n walks away she had peed on herself n her back n shoulder was hurting because they have not turn her over.. Grrr this makes me so angry because she is Hispanic and don’t speak English they neglected n ignore her.. untill I got there n went to say something they came right away. Went to the emergency for broken toe. Saw the PA and was notified I will be discharged really soon. I waited for 1 hour before asking for help. While I was waiting for my paper I overheard a discharge nurse name William Martinez talking to a Hispanic guy call him by name and said “hey buddy how you feeling. Everything will be all right.” When it’s my turn he said here’s the paper and you can go now. During the long waiting time discharge nurse William Martinez took his sweet time talking to several Hispanic patient with smile and kindness in his word and attitude. When it come to us non Hispanic he was giving the worse attitude you can ever possibly get. When he gave me the paper and tell me to leave I told him PA said I could get a painkiller shots before I finish he said yeah yeah yeah then I heard he said “Hey nurse can you give that whatever his name is a shot so he can get out of here”Not saying he is racist but I have no other description for what I was feeling. I know this probably not ganna do anything to him but I really hope the board can at least look at this. I felt disgusted to go to this ER.

Sadly, a close friend passed away today. She was admitted 4 months ago to the ER, treated for 2 issues over 3 weeks and released without them diagnosing her stage 3 cancer even though bleeding heavily from day 1. She was suddenly released at 9.30pm on a cold and windy night with an oxygen tank and a walker,no meds and told to make an outpatient visit for her bleeding. 4 days later she collapsed and was taken to another ER where they immediately found her aggressive cancer. Had it been diagnosed earlier she may have had a chance. Please review your protocol so others may survive.I am a cancer survivor so know what procedures should have been followed.Patients and families should be able to trust the hospital and medical system.

The staff was kind and the ER docs helped my mom when she needed emergency care. She never had to wait too long and always felt better after her visits. If you have a loved one who you take care of, keep a foldable rollator walker in your trunk. Instant Walker/chair. The seating is limited in the ER.

The care from Doctors and nurses is pretty good. BUT the aftercare or information thats supposed to be provided to patient and patients kin is seriously flawed. No contacts from case workers/neurology department personnel on what needs to be done by patient upon release from a stroke care was never provided. I had to drive all over town and call primary care doctors to find out that rehab/post care was needed after release from hospital and that it should have been done and charge nurse should have informed patient that post care referral was needed on the same day of release. If going to ER due to stroke is needed, DONT go to Queen of the Valley, youll have better care at Intercommunity Hospital

This hospital does not care about your health! They are running generators next to our window next door and after many complains they are not willing to do anything about it. We can smell the generator smoke in our home all the time and cannot sleep from the noise.

Good doctors, nice modern looking facility, horrible parking. Building visible from street. Restrooms are by key only from doctors office.No valet no wheelchair available upon arrival. The parking has maybe a dozen handicap and hardly enough. As huge As the parking lot is there just isnt enough and the lots are compact even for compact cars.There is a pharmacy which sells snacks but no vending machines no cafeteria. You could go to the hospital next door. Gas stations a block away for snacks.

Had to come to the e.r for a high fever. The staff was very attentive and caring. I had to be admitted and the wait for a bed was long but that is not the staffs fault. Once i was in a room the nursing team on that floor were super attentive, supportive and kind. Everything was on time and on point. If i needed help they were there quickly. They have such a high volume of people to attend to and some arent very nice to the staff that is doing their absolute best, yet the remain patient and professional. Thank you to the staff here you are wonderful.

I was taken to the hospital due to excruciating pain of my right ovary radiant to my back and down my leg. They performed and ultrasound and gave me pain meds and sent me home in terrible pain even when I repeatedly told them something was seriously wrong. They did nothing for me the following day I was taken to a different hospital where I was kept and taken into surgery because I had ovarian torsion and wasn’t receiving blood flow. The surgeon told me I was close to loosing my ovary and they performed surgery laparoscopy. I was provided with images taken during the surgery of my ovary turning purple and images proving the torsion.Queen of The Valley hospital was the worst they didn’t listen to my concerns ignored my pain and symptoms and thank to them I almost lost my Rt ovary but yet they have the nerve to send me bills and tell me they will sue me. They expect payment after I had to go to another hospital to receive proper care due to their lack of care.

HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!AVOID THIS PLACE / ABSTÉNGASE DE ESTE LUGAR!I was there for a check up that ended up me going to surgery the next day at a different hospital!I had appendicitis and they couldn’t diagnose it. Their doctors, staff and employees are SO BAD that they even mistaken me with a different customer and they were 100% sure I was the guy with the broken arm! They even measure my arm!Anyway, after 4-5 hours of agony waiting for my results, I heard the most oblivious Doctor-Patient conversations with the “doctor” applying ZERO of his education. Like: “Oh yeah, this looks really bad” from a “doctor” talking to a patient! I was outraged and I just left because I knew if I had my surgery there, something funny would’ve happened. Last night I went for a rash on my legThey left me sitting in pain in a wheel chair for 7 hours and 30 min. They leave you in this hall way and check very little on you. Because they left me so long sitting my pain. My leg was so much more worse after and my foot got extremely swollen. They said they don’t have beds or recliners so that I could elevate my foot. Instead of getting better I got so much worse. They gave me 2 pills to lower my fever and sent me home with my leg still in horrible shape. Working in health care I have no idea how they thought leaving me hours in pain and hours in a wheelchair wasn’t going to worsen my situation. They have little care all they could say is we are busy even though people that were there so much less time were helped and released faster than I was. They saw me hours crying in pain and offer no help. I had to ask multiple times to go to the restroom after hours sitting there and iv fluids being pumped in me after 5-6 hours sitting there. Make a drive and go to any other ER in any other city! This places is a nightmare! And they don’t have a parking structure you just need to hope you’re lucky to find some place to park in the limited spots they have. I’m telling you don’t go! Don’t put your babies in danger and go to this place! They really don’t care. Went to a new hospital in whitter and getting the help I really need

Came here because I am 8 weeks pregnant and experienced some bleeding and vomiting blood. I was waiting for 5 hours before finally being told I was hemorrhaging!! The nurse that took my blood bruised me! I was hearing air “hissing” as she was trying to take my blood and she had to poke me a second time to finish. Then proceeded to blame it on my vein being flat. I’ve had a kid before and blood taken many times and this has never happened before. I had the worst experience here and threatened to leave before my results after 5 hours of waiting and they finally got the Dr to tell me about my hemorrhages. Nurses are so unorganized, I had my name called twice from the lobby while they were taking my blood, because they didn’t know I was getting blood taken already. A nurse took my urine and left it somewhere so after 5 hrs of waiting for blood work, they asked if I wanted to wait for my urine results. I left without knowing and would never come back!!!!! At least not for ER!

This has the most horrible experience as a family member of an elderly patient had to go thru my father was mistreated in every way possible he was a one on one patient he needed to be feed at all times including drinking items and 3 days in a road when we arrived my father was not fed was fully uncover with a dirty room from the same stains on the floor from prior days. A cut on his chin and when I ask what happen they had no idea. Then they put him on a liquid diet because according to the nurse Miriam he was eating to slow. Mind they never notify my self 9r any family member of this. Then the nurse Sam was rude and hung up the telephone on my family different time and spoke over me . There was so much they did bad. Honestly I agreed to transferring him there was only because Kaiser had no beds available and they contract with this horrible place. I blame myself because their Google ratings were bad but I took a chance. If you love your family do not use thus horrible facility. My dad was related so bad. 2 days in a road trash cans were not empty and room smell like a dead animal and took them 3 hours to empty them.

I came to the ER for pain that I was experiencing in my private part. Some things I’ve never experience in my 28 years of living. I got to the hospital at 10am and didn’t even receive no information about ultrasound. I was sitting in the lobby til 7pm. The whole day in the ER. When the people I seen in there that came at the same time I did were all seen and discharge. I still wasn’t discharged after hours those other people were discharged. I kept asking and asking and nobody seemed to care or even notify someone that this young lady has been here since 10am. I haven’t had any thing to eat. I wasn’t able to pick up my child from school. I had to ask my mom to leave her job for the day to pick up my daughter. My daughters school charged me for a late fee and I have a warning from the school because of being late.

I went to urgent care two separate times.The first time I had trouble breathing. I think I inhaled or exhaled too hard on squat day. Whatever the case, I couldnt swallow, eat, breathe. Just the slightest inhaling felt like someone punched me in the chest. I waited over 13 hours from 7pm to 8am the next day. By the time I was actually seen the pain had subsided almost 90%. They took an EKG, told me Im fine and sent me on my way. I literally waited 13 hours to get nothing done. Infuriating.The second time I had a nasty cystic acne on my groin. The swelling took over my whole inner thigh. I had a hard time walking. But the wait time was only 40 minutes. They checked it out but didnt discharge anything. They gave me pills and sent me on my way. While the pills helped bring the swelling, I still had to deal with the excruciating pain of doing it myself at 2am.

This hospital has been such a blessing. It is the closest to my place, the doctors and nurses are reliable and efficient. (You just have to learn how to be nice as patients-dont be so demanding) I had surgery in August and was well taken cared of by the staff. I especially want to shout out my recovery nurse Minene G. who was so attentive to my needs. I felt her sincerity and motherly care while I was in the RR. Though groggy from anesthesia, I knew that she was doing all her best to care for me when I couldnt be with family during these COVID times, post surgery. She even called my husband to let him know that I was doing well. Exceptional care. I am grateful to the wonderful doctors, nurses, technicians in the hospital. They have all been so comforting.

Honestly I first want to say that I understand when you go to a hospital you may have to wait maybe up to 5 or 6 hours for tests and results but 12 hours waiting for a ct scan waiting for them to bring my mom some type of medication and I’ve had the opportunity of talking with other patients who explains to me that they too have been waiting 8 hours for a room some 9 hours for results and one 7 hours to have her legged wrapped! I’m sorry that’s not okay. I’ve been here 12 hours with my mom who’s not feeling well at all and I’ve seen nurses working in flip flops, I’ve heard both security and nurse talking badly about other patients behind there back. I’ve heard them say how they lied because they didn’t want to help a patient because that patient was annoying like this is your job do it with some professionalism. The experience at this hospital is absolutely disgusting. I came here for my wife because of severe cramping and an infection while pregnant. But little did I know that my wife had to wait 4 - 6 hours. Some of the staff is nice but others such as a nurse seemed so rude and my wife was telling her off that she was waiting here for hours with no medication to help during the wait but the nurse said if it is really an emergency woudnt you wait for it. Also besides my wife. We had to wait in a hallway where the staff would ask their patients questions that shouldnt be asked in public with other patients around. The place is severely crowded, so small and suffocating. On the other hand there were patients in need who seemed even worse than my wife, in severe and agonizing pain, but werent seen as soon as possible, it annoyed the heck out of me when an old woman was vomiting and crying in pain but wasnt seen even though its an emergency room! But another patient was seen even though they werent in as much pain!. The service is inexcusable and shouldnt be tolerated. My wife was also given the wrong prescription for her infection, Please if you are in an emergency please for the love of christ do not go to this hospital for emergency care. Instead I went to LAC+USC medical center where I had everything that was done in less than 1 hour, which was amazing!

If I could give a zero I would!!!! My sister went in last Tuesday for abdominal pain. She was told she had pancreatitis and needed to have her gallbladder taken out. She was set to have surgery Monday August 15th to have her gallbladder removed. She had high blood pressure and she was nervous about that going into surgery…. My sister supposedly went into surgery sometime between 9:00am her surgery was set for 9:20 am my sister never made it out of that surgery I strongly believe. This hospital told my mom she was in recovery and her blood pressure dropped and went into cardiac arrest. Although my visit happened a year ago, the staff within the emergency room, during the night shift .Since I went to a this place on a friday night. Did a great job in my experience. The nurses and doctors, as well as other health care providers prior, to me getting set in a room to get treated. Acted promptly and professionally to my medicals needs.such as soon as I walked in, complaining of pain. The security guard took my vitals. The MRI technician, as well as x-ray technician. Acted promptly and where professional.Before and after taking their scans. As well as the technicians, that walked me to the MRI and x-ray, from the emergency room and back. The E.R Physicians assistant that was assigned to my treatment was very thorough in her assessment. She explained what type of medication I was receiving .When I asked her what I was being given so that I understood what was going on and how I was being treated. She also asked if I felt that I was having a bad reaction, after asking about what kind of medication they had given me.while I was waiting out in the waiting room, for my MRI and x-ray results. Which she answered again, since I couldnt remember what they gave me and was just curious. Once the treatment was done, I was out of there.Its definitely a place where the emergency room staff did their job properly and correctly, at taking care of patients when their having medical emergencies.however, that was just my experience as a patient. Its a hit and miss. Sharing my daughters experiences at Labor and Delivery. 2 key points I wanted to share the 1st one was her recent time a few weeks ago. This last Delivery was her 1 st C -section for baby #4. The delivering doctor placed a wound vac on her without telling her and explaining what it does. Its more about the explaining that wasnt given. Dr. Maloney didnt leave her a prescription for pain medication after this major surgery and gave her a false impression of being able to bounce back to normal like for someone with a normal Delivery. Horrible bedside manor and no compassion.This second experience was about 2 -3 years ago having to do with an epidural. The person giving the epidural was busy and there were emergencies and deliveries which caused delays and this happens. Its a hospital but by the time the anesthesiologist came to give the epidural they neglected to check if she was ready to deliver. So while giving the epidural the anesthesiologist said if you dont hold still I cant give you the epidural. This is during contractions. While shes delivering the anesthesia kicks in and she cant feel below her waist to push the baby out. I apologize if I rambled but this needed to be shared in hopes that this doesnt happen to anyone else.To better experiences ✌

Yesterday at around 2AM I visited the ER due to chest and stomach pain.Hospital was was extremely busy. I was seen within 5 minutes from arriving. I was scared, tired, and uneasy. The Dr. on duty (I don’t recall his name) he was amazing. Watching him in action was incredible to see. His professionalism during a busy ER with the pandemic going on he kept his cool and ran that floor like a champ. Nurses on the floor were also amazing. After getting an ultrasound and a MRI from two other incredible staff who were also very very attentive.I was soon told I needed surgery. Within a few hours there I was getting my gallbladder removed. I was sent to the 4th floor. The moment I was wheeled into the floor I was greeted by desk staff, they said “Welcome” with smiles. I was wheeled into my room by another staff who talked to me all the way there. She probably sensed I was nervous. The nurse assigned to me was Alice. Thank you Alice for your help! As many times as I called for help you came right away always with a smile and waited patiently for me. I was sent to surgery room by Steven. Also, an amazing soul. Talked to me all the way to the surgery room as well. Kevin (I think that was his name) was very kind. Both funny and truly calmed me when I was in the middle of my storm. Dr. Edillon was amazing. Explained my surgery process and most importantly made me feel safe. All I can say is I felt like a celebrity. My experience at the hospital was magical !! Yes magical!! Can you imagine anyone saying this about a hospital? Thank you for the entire staff for taking care of me I can’t express how thankful I am for you all!

Absolutely incredible. I had a severe, allergic reaction to a medication and the staff was extremely quick and knowledgeable. CT scan and MRI’s were quickly done, as well as treatment through an IV. All the staff from the nurses to doctors were caring and thorough. Will never forget how great the experience was. Was also discharged fairly quickly. Stunned.

I was pleasantly surprised by this small, older hospital. To be honest, when my insurance sent me here for a CT scan I was expecting it to be awful. While not state of the art in terms of architecture (I have no idea as far as the hospital equipment), what won me over were the EXCELLENT STAFF. The young lady, Kimberely, who does the booking for imaging services was great. She called me back promptly after helping sort out my referral and even knew my name when I came for my appointment a few days later. She unhurriedly walked me over to the CT department and back and was a really exemplary representative for the hospital. Several other people I dealt with, including Josie for my intake made me feel welcome and important. Hospitals can be a very unpleasant experience for many reasons, what makes all the difference is to have kind, patient staff to ease the experience. I would not hesitate to recommend this hospital or to visit again. More hospitals should conduct their business this way.

My wife was taken to the ER by WCFD paramedics after being rear ended at a stop light. She requested to go to Kaiser Baldwin Park but paramedics brought her here by request of WCPD. My wife was uTaken to waiting room regardless of mechanisms of injuries. My wife was complaining of head pain, abdominal pain, neck pain, arm pain and ankle pain. She was not provided an IV for pain medication nor a blanket for warmth. Was taken to CT but was brought back for not having IV. The lack of nursing 101 delayed treatment and extended her time in ER. She was in ER for a total of 7 hrs ( in waiting room). I work in a ER and know how busy it gets but I’ve never had a patient wait and be treated in the waiting room. Bad management, bad charge nurse and bad attending nurse. The only bright spot was the radiology staff who treated my wife like a patient. That’s why I gave 2 stars.

I had a planned c-section at Queen of the Valley hospital, but my water broke 2 days prior to my scheduled operation. I went to the hospital at 10 pm, the nurses there at the reception said they couldnt call the Dr because she will yell at them no Dr examined me or anything, then after 2 hrs of waiting they told me Ill have my operation next morning. Up until then I didnt have any contractions or pain but shortly after midnight I started having contractions and with every strong one my babys heart rate would drop really low, the nurse said this is not good I asked to talk to any available Dr but they ignored me, I asked again to call my Dr the nurses refused. They kept me waiting 12 hrs not knowing when will I have my c section, and leaving my baby in distress, endangering her life. Until it was almost 10 am when my babys heart rate dropped very low, a Dr with 2 nurses came rushing to the room and said its an emergency and I have to be in the operation room now... Thankfully my baby was delivered safe, but their negligence and lack of empowerment almost cost me my babys life. I do not recommend this hospital for delivery, avoid it by all means as they cannot be trusted.

This is one of the best hospitals I have ever been admitted into due to an emergency I had 10 years ago and a recent one just last week. I suffered a couple facial fractures, a brain hemorhage and a busted open eye due to a skating accident and everyone from the doctors to the radiologist, to the nurses and caretakers treated with me with care and concern and in a very friendly manner. I was particularly happy with a 35 year old Asian nurses aid named Kate. She was kind, friendly, funny...the best. This Hospital deserves no less than a 5 start rating both times Ive been admitted.

Neglectful and disrespectful. My loved one was in the ICU trying to get better. Multiple nurses were gossipping and laughing loudly inside and outside of the room. They never fed them until I showed up and asked 5 times then I eventually had to make them. The surgeon came in for about two minutes eating ice cream the entire time. They laughed about that too. They also left a bucket full of feces in the room for half the day. It was difficult to get someone who actually took their job serious. I basically had to beg and plead the entire time.

I was admitted into the hospital for a half day in order to have a liver biopsy procedure. I was treated so nicely by everyone there and the food was good. The Physicians Assistant who performed the biopsy was funny, kind and very good at his job. He explained everything he would be doing, all the risks involved and then gave me the choice whether I wanted to continue or not. He even asked me if I wanted prayer, which I did. He said a beautiful prayer and then we proceeded with the biopsy. His nurse who was equally as wonderful, put her arms around me and held my hand through the whole thing. I cant say enough about my wonderful experience with my kind, compassionate and caring staff.

My sister gave birth recently here. We were assigned Elizabeth Hanke as our RN for the evening. She was so kind and made us feel like we were all family. Visited the er today 130-2021. I appreciate the staff and bless them for being heros. Working during a pandemic. But honestly the er was filthy not once in my nearly 5 hours did anyone wipe down a frequently touched surface. No segregation of possible covid patients with non covid issues that I could tell. I happen to have the same diagnosis another patient. ( this i know because they talk very loud and not much space between people) she arrived after I did but left before me. She was treated before me. The attending nurse confused me with the other patient and gave me her treatment. Honest mistake we did have the same diagnosis and treatment. But still hippa violation. I really hope upper management takes a hard look at the ER because much can improve for both the patients and the staff health. I hope I didnt get covid treating something completely different at this hospital.

This was the best hospital I have ever stayed at. It is very clean. Great customer service. I had surgery on my cervical spine. The nurses were so attentive, courteous, and helpful. I stayed there from 7/11/18 and released 7/13/18 . I stayed on the 5th floor. My nurses were there for my every need. The volunteers were so nice and took care of anything i asked for face and with a smile on there face. My physical therapist, a male was so great I wish I had him for my regular physical therapy. The for of nursing Fatima came around to check to make sure the patients were being given the best service, and we were. I say that because the lady in the room with me daughter said this was the best experience she ever had at a hospital with her mom and she is at the hospital with her mom alot at different hospitals. Then I received a call from Fatima the next day after I was released. I t made me feel so goid to know they really care about there patients. Phenomenal customer service. My brother had a stroke, was in CCU, unable to move his left side or speak, or swallow, ended up with Pnemonia. CCU staff were attentive BUT once moved from CCU all hell broke loose. Nursing staff would not call the family when he requested us to be called, we would find him in bad positions crying upon the one hour visitor window, his g-tube was placed wrong, his nursing team took no care in positioning him for his own safety. He became paranoid, not trusting any of the staff, not wanting the family to leave. Then to top it off, they start asking visitors to show proof of COVID vaccine with TWO (2) boosters. WTH!! Trying to get him moved as we speak.

I was admitted into the hospital back in March for a wound on my toe. Dr Tran and another Dr wanted to amputate my toe with the wound without giving me a 2nd opinion. Thank goodness l did ask for one because l went to my podiatrist that l was referred to after l left hospital today (8/4) and the wound went from seeing the bone and a ligament to being totally healed and closed. I felt them cut me during delivery.I delivered my first born here back in 2005, nurses were rude at the time. I had tried to deliver naturally, unfortunately I had to do a cesarean the next morning, the epidural started to go away a few hours before the cesarean (3am), they decided to then take me to have the cesarean and right away started cutting me, I screamed and the Dr. who was in call said “you feel this?” I said yes!!! He did it again and I screamed again. Next thing I know I was in my room and it was about 7pm. I then find out the medication affected my son when they pulled him out and he wasn’t breathing for a good 4 minutes. I will not recommend this hospital.

Worse hospital Ive been to. I suffer from migraines. I went in for that and also a spider bite and was having an allergic reaction. They take you in to a small room where there are other patients. They listen and they gave me two shots. One for allergic reaction and the other for pain (advil) . Then they send you to a hall where everyone else is waiting to feel better and they kick you out. Even though youre still in pain. They give you no privacy, everyone is there listening to your conversation with the nurse. You only speak to the Dr. once. NEVER GOING BACK! Stay away and go somewhere where they will listen and treat you like a human being.

Generally the nurses and doctors are accomodating, polite and kind. The main areas of the hospital are better because in the ER there are usually cops with people they bring in.

Instead of running test he was saying I had an STD and that I was unfaithful to my husband! It turns out it was a UTI! Its only natural why many hospitals get bad reviews. Patients are generally in bad mood because they are sick and when things dont go the way they prefer, they are quick to pick up the phone and type how disappointed they were.I have visited hospitals in many different occassions, as a patient and guardian/family. The staff in the ER and ICU were second to none. From the initial check in area to ICU unit, they were exceptionally professional and showed much hospitality towards the patients and their families. There are exceptions to everything and of course, there was one staff member that made me wonder how she became a RN. Other than that one staff member, everyone else I dealt with were top notch nurses and doctors. Henry, who was given a difficult task of taking care of my 75 year old father, who went through a rough surgery. If all medical staffs were as professional and sincere as these folks, the trip to hispital will be much more pleasant and I guarantee it.

Paramedics brought me to the ER on July 1st/2nd, 2019, due to my extremely high blood sugar levels. I had gone to bed Sunday nite and I do not remember the course of events or my family calling 911. All I remember was waking up in the QVH ER. Most nurses were kind and attentive. Drawing blood several times throughout the day in my left arm, which blew up twice its size. None of the nurses could tell me how long I was there. I dont remember seeing a doctor. Later that nite, I was told that I was being admitted and getting a bed. The nurses were great, at least 3 doctors were keeping me informed of my progress, my meals were okay. One dinner had flank steak ? which was so tough, I couldnt chew it. Cleaning staff were not very responsive. Trying to make it to the bathroom one nite, I had an accident, peed on the floor and wetted myself. I called the nite nurse and he brought me a dry pair of socks. Someone from housekeeping will be in shortly. A couple hours later, I had a second mishap. I called again. Housekeeping did not show up and I put down paper towels so me or my new roommate would not slip and fall. I dried up the bathroom floor. I was released on Thursday, the 4th of July. I received, my release papers. They looked incomplete to me, I dont see the care I received or all the tests/results, and my nurse said that can enroll on the Patient Portal to see everything. WELL, Ive been doing that a couple of times each week! EACH time pops up FAILED! I called the number listed on Emanates website, only to be told that their system has been down the last 2 months, now 3 months! Overall, I received adequate to poor service. My MR #, MR00891975. They charged insurance almost USD 150K for NICU (4 week) without any issue except underweight, AND they declared I should pay USD 35K caused an panic attack. NEVER sign any paper before joining, clearly add a your condition that you will not be responsible for uninformed treatment cost/3rd party services/out-of-network charges. Waiting time sitting in chairs (hours) not withstanding. Cousin brought my uncle to get seen and was ultimately sent home, only when my Cousin needed to call 911 for dyspnea was he “seen”. Even then, they had to wait with the people in the ambulance for 30 minutes before he was admitted. An rn took 10 people at a time in to do a ct and forgot to do one for my uncle until my cousin told him, they then failed to administer the iv contrast and ignored my uncles attempt to tell him multiple times when blood started leaking out and the rn kept saying “one more minute” and when he finally noticed, ran to correct it. But ended up having to do the ct without the iv contrast. Horrible lack of concern and attentiveness to their patients, maybe some people fall through the cracks but still disappointed as a veteran corpsman to see this. I decided to post this in lieu of them because of the language barrier. He’s only recently passed away from cancer.

First off the ER is horrible!!! I was brought there a while back and waited almost 9hours in the waiting room to get called back. Then my brother had to be taken there because of his appendix. He was taken back around 8am the doctor told my parents he would go into surgery within the hour. Well fast forward to 10pm te surgeon decides to show up and by then his appendix ruptured. A hospital stay that should have been 2-3 days turned into 2 weeks because of infection ans the stupid surgeon made us wait so long. When my brother was waiting for surgery my parents kept asking were is the doctor and of course it was nothing but excuse after excuse. Not only that the surgeon didnt talk to us till after the surgery to explain the procedure (Im a nurse myself and when your patient is a minor you are supposed to talk to the parent or guardian first) Overall this place is horrible but I do give a good rating forge peds nurses... they were really good and were on it

This review is for the NICU:My baby was transferred to this hospital about an hour after he was born. He stood here for 10 long weeks. The nurses and respiratory therapists are awesome at what they do. Michael Smith, Stacy in the day shift, Huang Lu, and Juan are all great respiratory therapists. The nurses Laura, Vicky G, Lilybeth, Gremlyn, Lauren and a whole lot of other that i cant think of right now. Seriously they all made this very scary situation somewhat easier with their knowledge, care and comfort. I was at the ER on a monday night ( earlier this week). Checked into ER at about 11 PM, after an automotive accident. While I have no complaints about the wait time ( typical to any ER). What bothered me were the following1. For the x - rays- they had to take xrays of my hands - they did not give any shielding fabric for the rest of the body2. The diagnosis was wrong. I had fractures in both my hands while they determined fracture only in one.3. They did a shoddy job of providing a foam splint and bandaging. ( They did not even clean the wound on my other hand which was bleeding).4. No follow up was advised.I ended up going to an urgent care ( St Jude, Fullerton) later in the week and have been advised to see an orthopedic physician since then for both the fractures.

If I could give it zero stars I would to start off this place is very dirty and disorganized, I came to the ER because of severe kidney pain. One of the nurse asked me for a urine sample which I returned back to him and after three hours of being at the ER they tell me that they can’t find my urine sample so since there are no urine test results the physician that saw me bases of a guess on telling me that I might have a UTI. Poor service. Should be in the list of Worst Hospital in the US. Me, my wife, and 3 year old daughter were taken here after a Motor Vehicle Accident in CA 60 in Rowland Heights. Ambulance took us here since according to EMT the hospital is the only one certified in Pediatric Cases in the area. I insisted to go to Kaiser in Ontario but they cant because of my daughter. Arrived in the ER department 1:45am, nobody could register us until 30 minutes of waiting....our Ambulance EMT/Driver who happens to work part time in the same hospital decided to login into the system and register us. 2 more patients were ahead of us and nobody got them registered either. Their paramedic begged to our EMT to have them registered. We managed to get to triage in 30 mins and was directed to wait in the ED waiting room. Sat and waited there until 6am with no healthcare professional even bothered to follow up on us or keep us posted. Approached the front desk for updates and info, ED is full and only one Doctor on staff. No contigency in place for a back up MD to come in and help. Contacted Customer Relations Supervisor and filed complaint requested for updates on progress in the Emergency Department but no updates took place. If I could turn back time or any incidents in the future Ill stay away from this hospital. Me and my wife are in the healthcare field. My wife already said that the hospital is the worse since they get patients from them occasionally and is already aware of the negative feedback. Im just telling everyone what we went through....so now you know whats ahead of you if you come here. The state should take away that Pediatric certification from them. Or maybe close them down instead.

Took my 3yr old son in because he got the stomach bug and was dehydrated they kept him for 2days the staff in the pediatricians deportment was awesome they tried so hard to make my lilguy feel at home the even gave him some toys to keep along with a few books and colors and coloring books while he was there and would try singing and dancing while they would check on him so he would be scared, at the end when he was getting discharged they gave him a get better and stay healthy bag with a nice card signed by all his nurse and doctors and a few more toys. I give 5 stars for the first time my Uncle was there.. He fell and had to have a partial hip replacement.. Dr. osborne did the surgery that night. While my uncle was there for almost a week, on the 5th floor, they took really good care of him. they kept him clean and dry, fed him, they even trimmed his toe nails and fingernails. They did an awesome job, all of them on the 5th floor.. My wife suddenly lost motor ability and had slurred speech this morning at 5:30 am.I called the paramedics for Emergency transfer.We arrived at the the queen of the valley ED within the hour.They rushed her to CT and had her labs drawn.Then we waited. I have her current medication list on the Kaiser App.10:30 am. The doctor cant administer tPA because he doesnt know her history.Is that the only issue? Are her coagulation levels above a safe range?4 hours with her and this is your answer.I sat and watched as her health deteriorated.The Dr says we are transferring your wife to her primary care physicians location Kaiser Permanente BP.They have her records there. They will give her tPA. We wait a hour for the transfer.11:30. I didnt have insurance when I got sent to this hospital after a motorcycle accident. Two months before this accident I was hurt at home and split my head open. I had to get 13 Staples on my head. I also didnt have insurance and Downey Regional only charged me $100. The service at Downey was great and the wait wasnt long.This place was dirty, the wait was long and they literally didnt do anything. I had very bad road rash on my right calf and butt cheek after the motorcycle accident. The dr only told me to jump, then he said, ok youre good. Nothing is broken.....I was like are you serious?? He didnt even give my antibiotics for an infection or asked if I had a tetanus shot. My bro who was there even said, arent you going to prescribe antibiotics. He said no. My bill was 305. I was outraged and asked the lady. Why was the bill so high for literally doing nothing....

Unprofessional in the extreme. MRI center is horrible. Receptionist texting at her desk while patients languish because the staff is so lethargic they are not on time for appointments. Makes you wonder if their work product is safe and accurate.

Mother died due their care, lack of treatment and proper diagnosis, failure to run standard tests. Failure to follow proper procedure lost them over 250k for an icu visit where she relapsed cause the Dr failed to do an XRAY. I notified the insurance and they denied payment. That oath they took must mean nothing to them youre just a dollar bill in the eyes of the staff. Nurses from the hood are even worse. Overheard a Dr talking to a nurse making fun of a family from Mexico saying they didnt have insurance go get care in your country. This is a place you go to when you want to die.

I unfortunately live next to this hospital. Almost every evening people are fighting or playing music late into the night in the parking lot. Today they had some ceremony, because of social distancing people are stuck in their cars and honking constantly as a form of clapping I suppose. For two hours it’s been constant honking. I called to complain but apparently they received a permit to be loud and inconsiderate of others.

Worst Emergency room! you will sit for hours before they even call you for a room and this includes with an appointment and you don’t even get a room you get a chair in the hall way where you wait to see the doctor. Please go somewhere else unless you want to die waiting. Oh forgot to mention it gets so crowded most of the time there is no chairs to sit, so you might stand for hours.

If I could give negative stars I would. This place has to be the worst hospital in freaken region. I sat there for 5.5 hours with chronic back pain, just to be told that everything was normal and that I was being discharged. But that was after the fact that the nurse put the IV in, and went fishing in my arm for a few minutes.

Usually have great services in the past with all the staff including the doctors, nurses etc.. however I got admitted 3/23/18 the doctor assigned to me was Dr. Ali he was extremely rude and inconsiderate to the fact I had severe pain was completely disrespectful he had no manners whatsoever still in pain til this moment and he did not do a single thing to accommodate me...
