Dr. Kent and her team were fabulous. She is compassionate, efficient, and thorough. We went the mobile vet route to reduce stress on our cats and they were very comfortable with her. We received valuable feedback, resources, and tools. It was all very seamless. Dr. Kent and her team are a well-oiled machine and they easily gained our trust and the trust of our cats. Dr. Kent and her team are outstanding! I have always gotten great results with her where other clinics have failed. She and her team are professional, efficient, knowledgeable, willing to accommodate, and responsive. Ive never had such a comprehensive experience with any vet Ive ever been to. I highly recommend her. I also just discovered that she has alot of training/expertise with cats and opened the Cat Hospital in S.M. several years ago. I love her no-nonsense approach along with her compassion and empathy for both the pet and owner.

Dr Elyse Kent knows Cats-Plain and Simple!! Her 25 + yrs with Cats really shows. My 2 boys(cats) both needed a Vets attention, they Fight each other as Brothers can do. Don’t underestimate a Vet that specializes in House Calls- it can make a Huge difference in your pets anxiety level!!And yours!! Just an Awesome Vet and staff!!

Charged me $100 for a supplement that costs $48 on Chewy. It’s hard to find a vet that doesn’t take advantage of people when they’re worried about their pets.Update1 : they tried to pay me to take this review down.Update 2:They did not phone me to discuss or resolve, their reply is untrue. I agreed to their inflated rates on vaccinations and exam so I’m not complaining about that. Charging 200% of the retail price for a product is usurious. Maybe their affluent clients don’t notice or care. How many other reviews did they pay to remove to help their rating, I wonder?

I highly recommend Elite Veterinary Care. I had them come to my house recently to care for my Frenchies ear. They were on time, thorough, and really accommodating. Not only did they treat my dog, while they were at my house they jumped in when I asked and took care of my two cats as well. Just wow! Will be using Elite exclusively from now on, no more driving to the VCA after waiting weeks for an appointment.

It’s public record that Elyse Kent was disciplined and put on probation by the veterinary licensing board for 5 years including when she came to my home, which she never disclosed. If you care about your animal -- visit the Veterinary board website and read the 40-50 page case against Elyse Kent that resulted in her being put ON PROBATION for years by the Veterenary licensing board (until 2020). What I read and the legal findings are alarming and appalling. I had Elyse Kent visit my home while she was on probation, and she was very rough and insensitive with my elderly cat who is old and weak. She took her into a bathroom and put a hood over her head which she secured around her neck, and then proceeded with her “exam.” She wouldnt let me be present (which negates the point of paying $500-$1000 to have someone come to your home) and when my animal (who is generally very peaceful and never loud or vocal) cried out from the bathroom, I opened the door and saw her little head had been hooded. This grossly insensitive treatment was totally unnecessary because she is a sweet, docile and cooperative sweet little animal. It’s the kind of thing you can never “unsee” as a pet owner. My neighbor later told me he had a terrible experience with Elyse Kent. So did my real estate agent. I strongly recommend to every pet owner to read for themselves the 40-50 pages published by the VETERINARY board documents available online—about Elyse Kent which are publicly available online— and do your due diligence before you let her into your home, or entrust her with caring for your beloved animal. It’s public record (for a reason.)

My rescued puppy love had bloody stool and I was scared. I was relieved to avoid ER and make an appointment with Dr. Kent on Yelp for the next morning. She and her assistant arrived on time and took great care Prince... and me too. They are efficient and effective! I was surprised that they had everything they needed for treatment, from an IV to several meds. Dr. Kent is very personable and talked me through everything. Her assistant wrote down her med instructions very clearly, thank goodness, because I couldnt remember all the details for 4 different medications.I would much rather call Dr. Kent than wait in an ER parking lot or waiting room for hours. I depend on ratings and recommendations when considering a new business or service, and that is how I found Elite Veterinary Care. You can absolutely count on Dr. Kent for great pet care and quality service. She cares, and it shows.

Service has been top notch, the crew that comes in is extremely professional and courteous, theyve made us feel listened to in good hands. We have a feisty kitty that likes to show vets that he doesnt like them and they managed him very well. Whats more, if we have questions or issues to follow-up on Dr. Kent responds lightning fast!UPDATE: Our aging kitty recently had issues with arthritis and was having pretty significant mobility issues. Dr. Kent suggested we try Solensia, a relatively new drug to help felines deal with arthritis pain and I have to say, its the closest thing to magic Ive ever seen in a drug. In less than 24 hours, our little fuzzy friend was bouncing around like a kitten and just back to his old ways. We couldnt believe how effective it was!

Dr. Kent was the very first vet our little guy saw 5 years ago when he was a puppy and ate a wood chip at the park. Dr. Kent was there for all of Choppers itches, upset stomachs and nervous flights! But most importantly Dr. Kent and the team from Elite Veterinary Care were there when Chopper was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma and until the very end. They did everything they could to make sure our little buddy was as comfortable as possible and guided our uneasy nerves while we navigated difficult choices. I am so thankful to Dr. Kent and the entire team for being such a positive light in a very dark time. A very special vet and a very special team.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Elite Veterinary Care. Dr. Kent and her team were very helpful. I have an older cat with a few health issues. Dr Kent provided more effective solutions for my cat’s care than I have been able procure elsewhere. The home visit was particularly effective for several reasons. First, she spent a fair amount of time with me and my cat. Second, she could see the environment I have created for my cat, and make specific recommendations for effective changes. Third, the home visit was much less stressful for myself and my cat.

Very thankful for Dr. Kent and her staff!She came when I was out of the country for a scare; they were very flexible and understanding about the difficult situation. The first time I started using a mobile vet clinic, wow, a fantastic experience. Transporting our pets to a clinic can be quite time-consuming and stressful for the owners, especially our furry friends. The ability to fool them with we have visitors is terrific.They also created International Health Certificates for my cat and dog, and the Dr and staff eased much of the moving stress. Im very grateful to the team. They arrived on time in all situations and had excellent communication. All members of the team genuinely care about our pets.

Dr Kent was amazing! My dog, that normally hates going to the vet, was much more at ease with the at home visit. My husband and I recently moved to LA from NYC, and our poor puppy couldn’t stop scratching herself. Dr Kent visited her, gave her the right medication and within hours the scratching was fully resolved. Dr Kent was really lovely, and answered all of our questions. I definitely recommend her!

I am so happy to have found Dr. Kent for my cat. My longtime Vet. retired recently and I have an older, and difficult kitty. My experience having Dr. Kent and her 2 assistants at my home was great. Dr. Kent was able to examine and treat my cat, give the rabies vaccine, and provide excellent guidance to me about medical issues. I was present for the whole exam and saw my cat treated with great kindness and even though she needed a firm hold for part of the exam. I totally recommend Elite Veterinary Care!

Elite Vet Care is a godsend for my 20 year old cat, Grace! She is too frail and elderly to be passed off at curbside to a stranger, albeit a caring one. What and incredible staff of people that arrived at my house last week to see my French bulldog Remy. He is not a fan of the vets office and gets very anxious so having in home care is the best thing for my little guy. For 28 years Dr. Kent has cared for our various sets of my felines (of both genders). Dr. Kent is most professional, caring, thorough, personally involved, and very attentive. I simply would not have anyone else take care of my cats. I even brought our church cat to Dr. Kent years ago, and I always use her as a referral to friends. Dr. Kent is always so happy to see Winston ^..^ ~ and Bentley ~^..^ who are currently under her care (they are rescues from the same litter). They are aging now so the mobile service is key as well. A dear friend was with me at the most current visit, and before leaving on vacation said that she could not get over how wonderful Dr. Kent was compared to other veterinarians that shes experienced with other mutual friends. Dr. Kent and her dream team are truly amazing! I have seen a lot of vets in my life, and recently have lost a cat because of another vet’s negligence. And my 2nd kitty, who’s about 14 years old, has been diagnosed with kidney failure a few months ago. The previous vet misdiagnosed the stage he was in and wasn’t very helpful. Dr. Kent took initiative from the get go. She knew immediately what my cat needed. She walked me through his condition, and assured me that with proper treatment, Jack, can still have good several years left without suffering. Her assistants were amazing...they were so gentle with him. And normally Jack freaks out with all the vets but he was calm. I’m ecstatic that I have found Dr. Kent. Dr. Elyse and her staff arrived on time, we’re very friendly and professional. They attended to my sick cat and were did everything I needed in just 30 minutes. They saved me an all day trip to the vet.Unfortunately, my cat was diagnosed with cancer and Dr. Elyse pulled up her records from her phone and then emailed them to me. She also showed me the tumor in my cat’s mouth and explained what to expect in the future. I have nothing but great things to say about my appointment with Elite Veterinary Care. Dr. Kent and Tamar arrived on time, worked with our new tiny puppy in a very careful and gentle manner, and patiently answered ALL of my questions. My Dog was not doing well. He was itchy and his biting on his Legs made them Red.My Vet and others had protocols that I did not care for. Mainly cause you could not be present with your Dog. When my dog’s paw became infected, we tried to get an appointment with our regular vet, but they were booked for weeks! We came across Dr. Kent and she was able to come over right away and take care of him. She had everything she needed to wrap up his foot and gave us medication. I found Dr. Kent to be very good with my cat, she seemed quite knowledgeable, and knew exactly how to help me make him comfortable when it was time to give him hospice care. She also answers emails if you have questions.The fact that she had some knowledge of FIV was very encouraging to me, as Ive had vets from coast to coast who had clearly not given the disease a second thought in their careers and it showed when it came to caring for my FIV cats.I dont drive, so finding this service was not only great for not upsetting my sick kitty with the carrier, car ride, and weird exam room, but very convenient for me. The visit/exam fee is quite reasonable for a home visit, and other services seemed comparable to a vet office visit.While my one kitty has passed, I will definitely be using her for my younger one for vaccinations and anything else she may need going forward.

At a moment when it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a first time appointment for a dog (everyone adopted pets during COVID), I was able to get a last-minute home visit from Dr. Elyse Kent. She and her tech arrived exactly on time (also a rarity in LA), sat in the spare bedroom on my only chair and quickly examined Olive. She gave her the overdue vaccinations, answered my questions about a medication she was prescribed and recommended a pet dentist and a groomer. Obviously, this kind of service is expensive. If my financial situation changes, I would work with her every time as she is lovely and patient and makes it very convenient. I was nervous about the dog being unvaccinated in a new place for too long. She resolved all my issues in one visit.

I have known Dr. Kent for over 20 years and she is unquestionably the best vet I have ever known! I dont live in her immediate service area but when my cats are in need there is no one else I would ever be comfortable with treating them. I have experienced some very rare and unusual situations beyond vets in my area yet in every case she was able to correctly diagnose and treat. Just recently my cat developed a very unusual cancerous cyst on her back leg and my local vets were in a quandary so I immediately sought out Dr. Kent. It was a very aggressive cancer that literally popped up over night yet she helped with an immediate plan and literally did surgery the next day. My cat has made a full recovery thanks to Dr. Kent and my family could not be more grateful. She is not only the most experienced vet but also one of the nicest and most caring professionals you could ever meet.I think the set up of her current practice is really great where she can come to you for many services yet she still has full access to a modern animal hospital in Culver City for more advanced needs. I have had many animals and many vets over the years and truly she is a unique and special doctor and about the only vet I would ever write a review for or so highly recommend.

I dont know where to begin as Dr. Kent and her team have been the best Vet experience we have ever had! We have a beautiful Pit-bull that has been terrified of going to the vet office. Having the team come to our home to have an annual physical was nothing short of amazing! There is no fear, Dr. Kent and her team are so gentle and compassionate towards the animals it puts everyone at ease. Our other child, Marley, is a wonderful cat that unfortunately is not very nice to anyone outside of the family. At the traditional Vet office (VCA) they would basically wear a hazmat suit to see her. We warned them multiple times and once they took her in the back room apparently she bit one of them and they reported her! Dr. Kent and team simply had us medicate her slightly and put on a muzzle, Marley was fine with everything!!!! OMG. I Will never go back to a vet office again! Have just moved my service from VCA to Elite Vet Care. So glad I did! My dog has a fairly negative reaction to going to the vet, as Im sure a lot can relate. There is no need to stress out my fur babies any more in the clic unless it’s for something she can’t do in our home. She take as much time as we need when she is at our home to answer the many questions we have regarding the care of our pets. When we had to let our dog go she came to our home and we were all able to be close and hands on our baby as he passed. A hard moment in our life that made it so much more special and easer to say goodby in our own home with all the family. Dr. Elyse Kent, Board Certified FELINE PRACTITIONER has been my vet since just after I came to CA almost 30 years ago. My cats, even those that have chronic health issues, are happy, healthy and long-lived. Unless they get FIP or some esoteric cancer they live to 19, 20, 21. She picks up on things other vets do not even think of, often from a single symptom. She examines, diagnoses, treats and medicates differently than regular vets. We pet parents are able to do wonderful and comprehensive home care as well because of the support we get.Lucky are the kitties whose moms and dads use Dr. Kent as their vet.

Dr. Kent and her tech (Tamar) were fantastic with our Lilly - who is NOT an easy kitty to treat (picture full fighting mode, growling, hissing, teeth snapping and spitting). With pre-medication, Lilly was caught up on her vaccinations, chipped, and had matted fur taken care of in 10 minutes - significantly reducing her stress (and ours).

Dr. Elyse Kent is a specialist in cat veterinary care. She treated one of my cats, Pouf, who suffers from a condition called megacolon. Pouf (named for a small pouf of a tail which at times foreshadows megacolon) is now thriving on specific prescribed medications for life although she is admittedly a little overweight (a little too thriving!). She has survived now 7 years despite this serious condition and is still going strong.Recently, Dr. Kent treated my 16 year old wonderful kitty, Vinny, (named for Vincent Van Gogh) who developed numerous adenomas in an already compromised ear (like a wrestlers cauliflower ear) which has been extremely hard to treat as a result. Given his age, unlike a suggestion from another vet, Dr. Kent did not suggest surgical removal of the entire ear, but rather cleaned out Vinnys terribly lesioned and bloody ear, treated the ear with a strong liquid medicine infusion, prescribed an antibiotic for a simultaneous ear infection, in addition to another medication to be applied weekly for as long as needed. All this for, in my opinion, a very reasonable fee, as she came to my house with an assistant because I did not want to drag Vinny to yet another of his many office visits to several clinics. Dr. Kent is my go to vet when the going gets rough.

Dr. Kent killed my cat.I took my cat to Dr. Kent to get her shots. I said I preferred to have her get one shot per visit in case she reacted to multiple vaccines, but she insisted there was no problem doing them all at the same time. She said in her arrogant way Im the doctor. So I reluctantly trusted her. Immediately my cat started having a reaction, like a seizure, right in front of Dr. Kent. She told me it was nothing and to just go out and pay, and she took off. That took 20 minutes. I opened the carrier as soon as I got in the car and she had vomited and was unconscious. I ran back in and was told Dr Kent went to lunch. They called her but she wouldnt come back. She told the receptionist to give her oxygen. She left the room and the apparatus kept coming off. Dr Kent returned about 90 minutes later and said I should just take my cat home. By the time I arrived home she was totally unconscious. I rushed her to an emergency vet clinic who tried to save her. They said that if she survived she would have brain damage, and that I should had been told to bring her in immediately. My sweet baby died in the hospital 2 days later.I went back to Dr. Kent to tell her what she had done and was crying, but she wouldnt see me. She had a receptionist whisk me into a room (so clients wouldnt see my distress) and I waited 45 minutes until she came in. Instead of being sympathetic she she was arrogant and said her death had nothing to do with a multiple drug interaction. In the end she said she would order an autopsy to prove this. When the results came back they said my cat had no underlying conditions and her death was caused by multiple drug interaction. I never got an apology. And youd think she would have refunded what I paid her for this mistake. It wouldnt have mattered to me as my sweet kittys life cant be measured in money. But it shows what a money grabbing person Dr. Kent is.1. She should have only done one shot per visit as I requested.2. When she saw the reaction my cat was having she should have done something to help her before going to lunch, or told me to rush her to the emergency vet right away3. She shouldnt have told me hours later to just take her home.4. She should have taken responsibility for her actions, learned from it, and been sorry. But her attitude was clear--she couldnt care less.

I was able to schedule them right away, great service, vet & tech both come. if you go to the vet youre not getting in for a week, youre waiting 2 hours in your car and spending $200 regardless. These ppl come to you, write the scripts and youre with your pet the whole time.
