This was a great place to stay while I was on a work trip for the weekend. The pricing was great, especially for Sonoma. The standard room was really big and had lots of space. The complementary breakfast was really well put together with a lot of options. Lastly it was so nice to have the pool and hot tub open 24/7. I would love to stay here again!

My wife and I and my daughter stay at el Paublo for the first time. It was very quiet and accessible to our family that we came to Sonoma to visit.Staff are extremely friendly, rooms were really nice with a Balcony. Security Cameras on Site. Easy to park our car. There was a great selection for Breakfast.We will be back

What a great find, while it may be old, they have kept great care of the inside and grounds. The pool area is lovely, they have ice and soda vending machines. The bed was comfortable, loved that the room had a ceiling fan. Provided pool towels. Breakfast was decent with lots of choices. Only recommendation would be to mount a larger TV on the wall in the room and get rid of the cabinet is currently is in (but just my opinion). Place was really nice.

Loved it! The decor is vintage which was pretty cool. The rooms, lobby and grounds have been well maintained. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and had a decent shower. Their continental breakfast was always stocked and all of the staff we interacted with were super nice. We’d stay here again for sure.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called to book a hotel room and was told that there was a discount available that would be applied to the reservation. However, upon receiving my confirmation email, the discount was not applied. I called back and spoke to multiple people who told me they would not honor the discount and that I could cancel - cancelling has a fee however. So I was lied to, then had to pay to cancel their mistake. Completely unacceptable service.

Nice place to stay. Old motel renovated to an inn. The air conditioning unit was in the bathroom; therefore, you have to keep the door open to get the a/c in the sleeping area. The pool area is very nice and large. Relaxing.This place implements a quiet time at night till 7 am.Coffee 24 hrs in the lobby, good breakfast choices.

Nice place but was under some type of tree removal operation the whole 5 days I was there it was very noisy and I was not given a heads up before booking. The room is nice except the lamp had a short in it so you had to get it just right to come on. The atmosphere of the place is nice with the lighted fountains, and the pool and hot tub are 24 hrs a day with a nice small heated gym to boot. The small taco truck across the street open at 630 pm and had some of the best burritos Ive ever had.

We booked the El Pueblo Inn for our room block for our guests on our wedding weekend and I’m so happy we did. The hotel feels very old school California, with beautiful gardens in the courtyard and a pool area that was perfect for our guests to lounge at before the wedding. They also have a cute cabana area that worked great for onsite hair and makeup pre-wedding. We stayed in one of their larger rooms that had a patio looking into the courtyard and the room was bigger than I expected, updated and the perfect space for the weekend. Breakfast was included, which was huge a plus (and it was tasty too!). All their staff were amazing as well, really friendly and helpful. The hotel is so cute and the price is excellent for the area and what you get - we will definitely stay here again!

What a great find this place is. For the price you wont find anything better! The complimentary breakfast included hot food like quiche, which was delicious, and the pool/hot tub are open 24/7. The central courtyard area is lush and beautiful with a running fountain. The gardens around the pool are beautiful. Theres some neighboring road noise so ear plugs are helpful at night. Our room was spacious with a big couch and patio overlooking the greenery. Overall it felt like a little oasis; very relaxing. Dan, at the front desk, was super helpful and friendly. Will definitely be coming back here!

We booked a block of rooms for a wedding and were overall satisfied with the location. The rooms were very dark from morning through the afternoon, but satisfied our needs otherwise. Location was almost at the farthest distance from the square that I would really like. This was my first time staying in the area and for the price, I would probably go with another location that was updated and modern the next time.

The room was cozy and very clean. It is thoughfully equiped with a coffee maker, extra towels for the spa/fitness center/swimming pool, snack bars etc.Breakfast was awsome. The best I have ever eaten in hotels from same kind.The compound is very nicely kept with green little garden and a parking lot.The only 2 things that should be fixed:The flushing tank in the toilet is very noisy and so is the heating device.

This hotel is super beautiful. Fresh plants and flowers located all over the property. Lights light up the walkways. The pool is open 24/7 and where can you get that?!! The rooms are cute and decorated in a very homey atmosphere. The beds are so comfy and have down comforters on them. Everything looks so nice and clean and almost everything looks brand new, (very well taken care of). We had friendly service when checking in and breakfast was wonderful. We will make it a point to come back if we are ever in California again. The price was cheaper than a normal hotel with a lot more beauty. What an awesome place!

Hidden gem is the best possible way to describe this hotel. The price, which includes parking and breakfast in the morning, cant be beat for Sonoma. Its also an easy 20 minute walk to the square and all the restaurants down there. So, you can save at on and spend it all on your dinners, then walk off the dessert (or all the wine you drank) as you head back to your hotel for the evening. This hotel is especially great if youre just looking for a place to sleep in the evenings, since its California and you should be outside drinking wine, hiking and enjoying the weather anyway. Highly recommend this hotel!

Really charming hotel with a sort of Spanish/Italian feel to it. Rooms are larger than average and furnished to a high standard. Great breakfasts too, with proper crockery and cutlery! Rooms on the upper floor facing the pool seem to be the better options, with balconies, and vaulted ceilings creating a more spacious feel. Pool area is lovely too. For a family business, the owners have created a welcome retreat in a beautiful part of the Wine Centre of California, all the more reason to visit.

We stayed at El Pueblo Inn for a weekend in November. Because it was off-season, the rates were very reasonable ($146/night after our AAA discount). It was the cheapest option we could find in the area, and we were very, very pleased with our experience. There was a free wine tasting when we arrived on Friday night. We mingled with other guests and had a very nice time. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The hot tub was open 24 hours/day, even in November, and was a nice escape from the cold temperatures at night. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. And, our favorite part, the breakfast spread in the morning was amazing! We had a very pleasant stay and couldnt recommend this hotel more. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms.

This is a great value. The room seemed to be very recently updated, and was clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony. The spa was open 24 hours, which was really nice! The staff was friendly, and they had a delicious chocolate fountain running the afternoon we arrived. Breakfast was quite good but not spectacular. It isnt really easy walking distance to downtown, but it is a really easy drive. We would definitely stay here again!

The place is great but we lost 2 swimsuits that were valuable for us. we called the hotel a few hours after living. we knew exactly where the swimsuits were. No news from the hotel, we called 10 times for 2 weeks, sent emails. Our belongings « disappeared ». We were accused of not remembering where we putted them, but not even once the manager offered to help or apologized because her staff is « perfect. » very poor customer service that has ruined our experience

The name should be El Pueblo Camp or Camp El Pueblo. I wish I read more reviews and found the bad ones because I just had a similar experience. Our first room smelled like smoke so we asked for another. We tried to nap but they have single pane windows and you can hear everything in the courtyard, every footstep on the walkways, every conversation. We also heard everything from the room above. Every footstep, every small thing dropped on the floor. The bathrooms are very cold and the decor is dated. Honestly the best shots are what sold me which were of the bathrooms and the garden but I wish I looked at more. For the price it’s a giant rip off and I’d have looked somewhere else. We couldn’t get any sleep.

This hotel was reasonably priced and it was beautiful, clean, relaxing, and the right precautions are being taken to keep all guests safe. ONLY thing I would suggest is to put guests with kids downstairs. We had a family with a kid upstairs from us and the kid started running around early in the morning and the mom was yelling at the child in another language super loud. However, I requested an hour later checkout and they gave it to me with no hassles. I will definitely be visiting again. My husband and I loved the place.

We enjoyed one night here, we came in from Yosemite and were looking for a nice place to stay in or by Napa. This place is not far from Napa and the bed are nice. This place clearly started out as a motel a long time ago, but the owners have renovated the heck out of the place. The rooms open into a beautiful courtyard garden. The rooms themselves are very nicely renovated. And the pool/hot tub is open 24 hours.That said, it isnt perfect. The reservation system on their website doesnt take Discover, even though they take it at the front desk. And somewhere during the checkout flow they say check in is at noon, but its really at 3pm, and the noon check-in costs $100 extra.

The room was very clean and well maintained and also the public areas (swimming pool, jacuzzi, lobby, breakfast area, restrooms, garden path, etc. The staff was always cleaning and keeping the grounds and facilities in tip top shape! And we loved the breakfast which was simple but tasteful (especially the pastries!) ... instead of the standard Big Hotel messy waffle mix!

I livedi Sonoma all my life but recently moved away. I know which hotels are decent and which ones are not. I have been staying here due to the recent wildfire evacuations. Besides this, I always recommend this hotel to friends and family. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean as well as nicely decorated. The price is also reasonable, especially for this area. Id like to thank the woman who works at the front desk this evening, she was absolutely professional and was more than helpful (as well as so kind) when we told her we had been evacuated due to the fires near our home and needed somewhere to stay tonight. This just cemented more in my mind what a lovely hotel the El Pueblo Inn is.

This hotel is fantastic. The furniture and appliances are generally outdated, but everything comes together and makes it a cute hotel. We were a little worried when we pulled into the parking lot - it looks like a cheap old motel - but very pleasantly surprised when we got inside. The shower, in particular, is great - lots of water pressure and an open (door-less) design thats somehow not drafty.

Thanks to its lush and very well maintained garden, El Pueblo Inn truly feels like a small oasis on the outskirts of Sonoma. The pool area offers a small open lounge protected from the sun and a small, but convenient gym.There are several food options within walking distance but you might find the Sonoma Square just a bit too far to walk. Luckily bicycles are available for rent and a wonderful bike/pedestrian trail runs just 4 blocks north of the hotel.A great option for a mini vacation.

Whats not to love? The room was basic, but neat and equipped with everything you need. When you are here you dont want to stay indoors anyways! The hot tub and pool are so beautiful under the palm trees and the grounds are well kept. The reception is more than friendly and the breakfast buffet didnt disappoint. Besides your basics they serve wonderful quiches.It is located just a mile or so down the main road, and rents bikes right in location for those wanting to explore wine country by bike (we made it all the way to Nicholson Ranch up the hill, next time we will start there instead of leaving the hardest part until the end😋).A taco stand and bar with life entertainment are right across the street...Cant go wrong with this hotel.

Honest review. Outside of the courtyard garden this place was terrible. Non-working A.C., and my wife and I were so lucky to have been woken up at 4:15 am courtesy of the room above us...and kept awake for the next 2 hours as they trotted back and forth and back and forth. We also had to use a pen (ours) to hold the curtains shut. For the price, I wouldve expected to not sweat all night only to be abruptly woken and kept up once I was able to fall asleep. Save youre money, spend a little more and enjoy your stay in this beautiful town. This place will make you hate your decision to stay in Sonoma. You will feel slighted if you wind up in room 124, I cant imagine any other room being that much better.

The front desk staff is amazing, the customer service is always outstanding from the first call talking to Aranda to arrival to checkout.It’s not pricey the way it could be, beautiful grounds, huge rooms (comfortable beds) with gorgeous garden views. Stayed here for 2 nights. A bit pricey but we came in october which is at the end of peak season in sonoma. Stayed in a king room; the bed was wonderfully comfortable, bathroom was big and clean, AC was a window unit and a bit loud, lots of channels in cable tv. Theres a big pool and hot tub in the back too. The staff were very polite and friendly. Great stay!

Beautiful grounds and fantastic pool. The room was nice but the bed is extremely uncomfortable. The bed is on top of a metal box for some reason and that makes the bed creak at any movement. It also makes the bed extremely tall and hard to get in to.

We spent a week in Sonoma and stayed here. It is an older hotel, but I found it to be clean and kept up well. It is a good price for this area. The bed was comfortable. I loved the quaint courtyard in the center of the property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is not far from the Sonoma Square, which is a nice area to eat and shop. I would recommend this hotel.

My husband I spent 3 nights here on our trip to Sonoma. We had a garden view room with a quiet patio. The room was large and comfortable. Bathroom and room were very clean. The lobby has a cozy area for cool mornings to sit in front of fireplace and enjoy delicious complementary coffee. The hotel provides an excellent complementary breakfast every morning, more than just a run of the mill free breakfast.We did also get lucky enough to enjoy the pool and hot tub on our stay. Hotel is about 1 mile from the town square and could be walked. We will definitely return on our next trip!

Yes, we had to leave right away. The staff out of their mind rude. It was an awful experience.Aside from the bad staff experience this place is far away from downtown where things are open at night. It was impossible to get a Lyft to downtown from El Pueblo Inn. There was a Mexican restaurant stand open across the street that had some people at it. Other than that it was very dark there, and it seemed dangerous to cross the intersection nearby (with signs warning not to). The brewery nearby said on Google it was open to 9pm but was closed and dark at 6:30 when we tried to go.The next hotel we went to was right next to the downtown square. The room was much bigger. Whole Foods across the street. It cost less than El Pueblo and we chose between a fireplace and a hot tub in our room! I wont choose be trapped out there far away again. And their staff was really something awful at El Pueblo.--I felt like the staff was on a power trip for absolutely no real reason. Dig into the reviews posted for the place, its all been written before. The owner responds well fix it but they havent. Probably for most people the experience is fine. When its not fine, the best case scenario is I feel embarrassed that I chose this motel as stated by my friends.

The decor is from 1972 or earlier.There was a rickety chair made from scrap wood and drywall screws. No kidding. I dont know where these positive reviews are from. I dont get it. I would not recommend this place at all. Unless its the last place in town. Horrible given the price. Dont bother. Room size is about the same as Motel 6. But Motel 6 is better.

I’ve been working for Servpro as a subcontractor doing renovations on homes that survived the fires here recently, I clean carpet and upholstery and tile so I have lots of work in this region and I have been in a lot of hotels in the two months doing this . I loved this one ... I’ve stayed in much pricier ones they didn’t have half what this place does . The furnishings I would say are dated but then the hotel facade itself is kinda retro and the look just fits . Now the one rave I have is the bed itself here was so obscenely comfortable I know I’m going to hate having to get out of it and that part is gonna be my only complaint lol . But this place has it covered fir my needs and a but above the mark and I hope I get to stay here again! I can not understand how this place is rated above 2 stars. $300 a night for a Red Roof Inn? The rooms are very dated. Non-working thermostat on wall. Wall mounted heat/ac system. It is situated on a busy corner that you hear the traffic and can only turn right out of the Inns parking lot. Sonoma Plaza is to the left. Make sure your window is locked when you check in because ours was not. There is no restaurant at the Inn and no nice dining near by unless you want a taco shack. It is not walking distance from Sonoma Square and Im not sure I would walk around the nearby neighborhood. I would definitely spend more money next time to stay at a real hotel.
