So our server was juan Carlos, and let me tell you, he had me wanting for nothing he was very attentive and pleasant and if you come eat here, please have the combination plate with the two soft tacos with the carnitas rice and beans . Soooooo good 👍 thank you juan Carlos 🙏

A bit of a hidden gem, that seems to be attached to the Los Arboles hotel next door.Walk-in entrance just off Indian Canyon but it’s kinda hidden unless you know what to look for, ample car parking in back, but mysteriously accessed through the Movie Colony gates, next to the hotel of the same name.In front, Merisol has paradise-feeling garden patio seating and inside it’s a desert decor with banket booths & table groupings.Very attentive courteous and welcoming service, excellent healthy food, overall, a satisfying diverse menu of beverages & food choices. Very satisfying meals, we had tacos, burritos, and salad.We were there for a very late lunch and so we did not see the live music (my table companions tell me there’s live guitar if you arrive at the right time).

I had the taco and enchilada special. The chicken enchilada was phenomenally seasoned and the carnitas taco so so jammed packed with meat I could hardly pick it up. Lily was our server and she was very attentive and knowledgeable. I loved the outdoor atmosphere. They had misting fans, which made the summer afternoon heat unnoticeable.Of note, homemade tortillas. I shouldnt have to say more.I highly recommend this restaurant and will bring family and friends next time Im in town.

Chips and salsa were great. My Cadillac margarita was also pretty good. My husbands double Bombay Gin and tonic was watered-down 80% tonic and 20% well gin. He told the waitress and she was very appoigetic and had another one made but it was to late. The beef Enchiladas Rancheros had no flavor and the Shrimp in Pipian was also flavorless. Good beans and rice.

I had breakfast at this place and i was so happy to see that its pet friendly! Garden is nice and cosy. Service is great, staff is always in a good mood and the best part is if you are there at the right time you will be serenaded by this amazing gentleman on the guitar singing like a pro! Food was delicious and I recommend a visit at any time! I forgot to take photos of the food sorry! I just enjoyed the atmosphere and my meal!

We were on vacation in PS and had really liked El Mirasol our last visit..this time we were so disappointed!!! The enchiladas were cold with very little flavor, the margaritas were barely average, the service was poor and very slow. They only thing that saved the day was the atmosphere, the salsa and chips and the music. What has happened to this place?!?!?

Had brunch here on a girls trip and it was pretty good. My only gripe is that the pollo adobada was a little dry. Other than that, the queso fundido and guacamole were delicious. The tortillas were made outside by a beautiful woman and were warm and amazing.

The entrance to the restaurant is little confusing but we made it. The atmosphere was awesome. Food was really good, it arrived less than 10 minutes. Will definitely go back to enjoy the music while eating on the patio.

We have eaten at El Mirasol a number of times, it is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants here. Very nice patio with misters for hot days. Yesterday we tried the machaca, which was a beef and cheese dish, along with a chicken enchilada and two Cadillac margaritas.

Went here in the afternoon while traveling near palms springs. We were seated with no wait on the patio. The dish selections for dinner were each unique and intriguing. I ordered the chile con rojo and my husband got the traditional chile verde. Both sauces were delicious. I also ordered a virgin house margarita. I loved the flavor and would recommend. Given the atmosphere and quality of the food we would definitely come again.

Bland across the board, save for the corn tortillas. The chicken mole was just white, unseasoned shredded chicken with enough sauce sprinkled on top to cover 80% of the chicken. The machaca had about as much flavor as a Le Croix.Bad: the service. Super slow at every stage.

My hubby had a cravings for Margarita and so we looked for a Mexican resto.We ordered regular and strawberry margarita. Unfortunately we couldn’t taste any tequila at all. Too mild to be noticed.However, we were impressed by the food particularly the chorizo mini tacos. A must-order dish! Chips were good too, thin and crispy, not greasy at all. Just that Salsa can be improved, maybe a little more kick and flavor. It didn’t taste like a homemade Salsa though. The main dish, pork in salsa verde, was quite outstanding. It would be even better if it’s served in a hotter temperature instead of room temperature.Service can be improved. We ordered flour tortillas but served with corn ones. We had to remind the server about it. We ordered margarita with a salt rim but they didn’t come with any.All in all, the restaurant ambience was good. I liked the entrance a lot. If you are at this area, worth paying a visit!

Disappointing food. I’ve never seen booked shredded chicken masquerading as chicken tacos. Pollo pepitas came with the same shredded chicken with sauce on top. Both items came with tasteless refried beans and rice. 0 for effort and -10 for authenticity of flavors.

This place is such a good find! The service is great, the salsa is even better and the food was delicious! We got the carnitas plate and the carne asada plate, which were both really good! We also ordered a strawberry margarita which was good. But what I couldn’t get over is the outdoor eating area, it’s got cute lighting and just a nice atmosphere. This place is a little hidden, you enter from the back but that might be because it’s part of a hotel near downtown Palm Springs. Definitely recommend!

El Mirasol at Los Arboles is one of my favourite places to dine in Palm Springs. The al fresco atmosphere is charming, the staff are attentive and delightful and the food is consistently great every time I eat here. I’ve enjoyed date nights, group birthdays and even our employee holiday party. It’s not your typical SoCal-Mexican cuisine/ style of cooking, but that is what I appreciate about it. Dishes are not greasy and tortillas are made in-house. They also have a lot of great plant-based options. If you’re contemplating a visit, look no further.Fave dishes include: shrimp en pipian, chicken mole and veggie machaca with their house margarita.

Food and live music was wonderful, but things I would like to see improved. 1. Skinny margaritas dont have triple sec or any sugar in it whatsoever. What you have is a margarita not a skinny Margarita on the menu. 2. Try soaking the chicken in the marinade and cooking it in it, instead of just pouring it over the top. Chicken breast is bland unmarinated and the sauce wasnt much flavorful either. The Diablo sauce came in very handy. Next time Ill get the carnitas. 3. Chips were good but you do need spicier salsas for the non American taste buds. I did buy a big bottle of the Diablo sauce because its delicious I cant wait to make shrimp Diablo at home with it. Im very happy I visited and appreciate the great service.

Food was ok. I ordered the shrimp in tomatillo sauce. Shrimp nice and big wished it had the taste of the tomatillos. The taco and chile rellano was good. The taco was the best and the salsa that came with the chips was excellent. They did not put the flour tortillas in and that is on me because I was told to check. Service was good and although we did not eat there I could see that the patio was nice. Over priced will not go there again.

Went here with family and LOVED it! Everything we ordered was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. We made early reservations which was a good idea because the place was packed. Despite being in the thick of the dinner rush, we had excellent, prompt service. We sat on the patio, under heaters, and got serenaded by a guitarist all evening. Someone I met at our resort recommended this restaurant to me. We loved it. We came on a Saturday around 2pm. I was surprised to see there were still lots of people which is a good sign. We sat outside in the courtyard. Great atmosphere and pet friendly. Though it is close to the street and there is some noise, with its surrounding trees, we feel we are in a secluded oasis. And oh, the food is great. Though I am no Mexican food connoisseur, everything tasted great to me. Portion is quite large and filling.

Wow! This place has great food and great service! The Chicharron en Salsa us outstanding. They have fresh corn and flour tortillas. Parking is a little weird. Youll need to park in the back and the direction I went took me through a neighborhood. But I figured it out. The margaritas were pretty heavy on the lime juice side so if you dont like it as tart, order with a slight modification. Theres inside and outside dining. Be prepared for a wait if you get there too late.

The courtyard is a spacious oasis with twinkling lights off of a busy street. We had a date night with vegetarian choices. The Margheritas were huge (we opted for the 15.00 large ones), strong and tasty. We got some yummy nachos and a combo cheese enchilada and Chile relleno. Both were solid, if not amazing, and the beans and rice that came with were tasty. The ambience makes this spot and we would return for sure. Great place to eat while in Palm Springs! It is inside a hotel, so its a little harder to find. However, it is worth it to go on the hunt. The frequent attentiveness to their customer is refreshing. The food was fantastic and was brought in a timely manner. I would highly suggest going here. I would go back to this restaurant again when I come back to the area. Had dinner at El Mirasol at Los Arboles last night and frankly, I was not impressed. I initially ordered one of the house specials, Shrimp in Pipian. I was told they were out of pipan (our reservation was at 530PM.) First disappointment. At our servers suggestion, I ordered Shrimp Picado which, in retrospect, I should have passed on based on our servers less-than-enthusiastic comment, Its pretty good. When our dishes arrived, I experienced my second disappointment. The food was very bland, lacked seasoning, and the preparation was basically equivalent to throwing some shrimp (5) and some chopped onions, green pepper, and tomato quarters into a skillet and heating through. I make picado dishes at home that are far more flavorful. The third disappointment was the bill: $66 plus tip for mediocre (at best) food.My cocktail (from their Mezcal list) was good as far as taste, smoky after-taste as described, but the glass was 90% ice and 10% cocktail. The guitarist was very good and did an awesome rendition of Sound of Silence in Spanish.Overall, very mediocre Mexican food that really needed some pizazz to bring some (any) flavor to the table. I would not recommend or return. There are less expensive Mexican restaurants in PS that offer superior food.

Plus on Sundays they have musico to sing and play the guitar.So what’s good, everything. Today we did the queso fundido, freshly made corn tortillas, fresh guacamole, for out appetizers.For our meals: breakfast burrito our all time favorite to go to for my other half, me I had the waffle, glutton free with fresh capote made in-house, my son had the chorizo quesadilla, and daughter had the pillo en mole( now mind you she does not like Mexican food just this place). Very impressed with the food! I had a burrito and the guacamole, but cant remember what other things we got. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, especially the guacamole. They even made accommodations for me (Im picky about onions, which sucks because most places wont compromise on that) and the food came just as ordered. The waiter was attentive and polite, and though there werent many people at the time we were there (it was late) there was still a pleasant atmosphere. It seems a little bit pricey if you arent used to good Mexican food, but you do get what you pay for here.

We were staying at Los Arbores and decided to get food from El Mirasol since it was conveniently located right next to the hotel. We got takeout. The food was quite good. Our food was prepared quickly (15 minutes after we called them to order). I got a veggie burrito and my husband got a shrimp and vegetables dish. Ingredients were fresh and tasty, but I think it was too pricey for the type of food. There wasnt anything really special about the food to warrant the price, although the location of the restaurant and a dine-in experience might explain the price.

Loved that I could swap out rice and beans for a mix of real veggies. Margaritas were wonderfully inexpensive. Such relief a from some of the spots along the strip which just dont seem much of a value. Seems like a very well run establishment, efficient but not rushed and the owner is lovely. We have been to both El Mirasol locations in Palm Springs, despite being from Colorado! We absolutely love El Mirasol. Their food is incredible. We happened upon them on our first visit to the area and made a point to go out of our way to visit the other location on our next trip out. During our last visit the Manager that is the owners daughter turned to be so rude and careless. Saw her the way she treated some costumers. The atmosphere around was not the same. The drinks great. Prices are very fair. Drink prices are inexpensive. We try to go every time we are in Palm Springs. The view of the mountains from the patio is beautiful. From the beef burritos and enchiladas to their spicy salsa - it all was a hit. It seemed a bit tricky to find, but you can park behind the hotel and enter from around the back. Definitely worth the effort. The salsa is delicious and full of flavour. They make their own bottled hot sauce fresh and without preservatives, which can be purchased in two sizes. My favourite item on the menu is the sauteed shrimp enchaladas, but they have many other house specialties. The shrimp have a mild garlic flavour which you dont usually find in Mexican food, but it works!Next time we come to PS, we will be back.

Authentic Mexican tastes... very good food service and ambiance. The place was a little difficult to find with the phone GPS but it wasnt far off.Well worth our 25 minute drive, especially their big choices of margaritas.

There were 4 of us who had lunch here and the experience was good. I had their mole and and a cocktail. We had a great conversation over lunch. The place was packed. Service was fast and efficient.

Huge portions of authentic Mexican food. The outdoor patio is very nice. It was a little hard to find because it looks like its part of a hotel and the host station is not at the entrance on the street.

The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. The service was slow and at times nonexistent. Our water glasses were never refilled, we were never asked if we wanted more drinks, we had to ask multiple times for the heater above us to be turned on, etc. This might have just been an off night, but it was a disappointment after reading all of the positive reviews.

Amazing mexican food resturant. Free chips and salsa. The mild salsa comes with the chips but ask for the spicy salsa it is excellent. Lots of vegetarian options and a dog friendly patio. The freshest, best spinach enchilada I have ever had.

Are you in Palm Springs? Have you had some drinks today? Are you feeling Mexican food tonight? Then you need to stop here.The homemade tortillas are amazing. The queso fundido is a huge delicious portion - dare I say its the best queso fundido Ive ever had. And I love me some cheese.The diablo shrimp were actually spicy (!) in the best way. Next time Im out here Im absolutely coming back!

Margaritas are so good. Pork Carnitas, Beef Rojo or Chile Verde, cant go wrong. Some of the best!! Patio is the place to eat. Lots of shade surrounded by lime trees & other vegetation. Our favorite Mexican restaurant.

OMG...their carnitas dish is the best we have ever had. Carne asada is great too and so is the chicken mole. Margaritas is good and strong and the freshly home made tortillas is fantastic. We can eat here everyday and not get tired of it.

Ordered shrimp pipion and received chicken that is stewed with sauce. The spice in it gave me a migraine 😩. My fault for not sending back but felt bad because I didnt want to waste food. They waiter didnt offer to take it back let alone did not compensate for his mistake.

Really good authentic mexican food. They also have black beans by request with your meal which are yummy. The combinations are incredible. Try a taco with carnitas in the combo.My wife loves the carnitas salad. Very tasty and a nice portion of their yummy carnitas. They are a little crispy. Margaritas are wonderful and actually have some alcohol.

The spinach enchiladas are great. Good margaritas...its worth it to get the double. There are 2 locations one a few blocks north of downtown hidden away and 1 south of downtown palm springs. Also good wine bar called Dead or Alive is next to the south el mirasol.

Love El Mirasol! Tasty margaritas, crispy chips, spicy salsa (when you ask for it), and the best Camarones a la diabla. So good!
