Found one thing I was interested in. Were walking into the store felt like walking into a prison or some other kind of internment camp. Everythings chained up barred up. Just very unwelcoming. Also their prices are grossly overpriced I saw a Sega Master system for $70 untested no controllers no power cable know nothing. Definitely not worth the trip.

Been coming to eco thrift for over 8 years. It used to be such an adventure to find a good gem in this pandoras box, now its cheaper to go to target and Walmart for something brand new. Not worth coming anymore. Prices are outrageous for donated and used items. A basic tshirt used to be $0.99 and often discounted by their weekly color system. Now will be $2.99-4.99, for something as simple as a target brand kids shirt.

Used to love coming here but now they’ve tripled prices on clothes and doubled prices on cds which i usually come to buy as a hobby. it seems like they have security checking items due to people swapping tags, but if they didn’t want that they should price their items reasonably.

Writing this in favor of my mother and her boyfriends horrible experience at Eco thrift. My moms boyfriend had bought items, two pants and both had sensors, and both had tags under $10, hence why he bought them . Keep in mind, BOUGHT THEM. Again unaware of what the sensors on the pants are for, he kindly asked the lady before exiting if she could remove the sensors since he purchased the item and she just snatched the pants and said he couldn’t keep the pants because the sensors indicate that an item is “over $20” and he payed a lower price, again WITH NO NOTE OF WHAT THE SENSORS MEANT. He couldn’t get his money back because “all sales are final” and didn’t even have the pants because the lady took it away from him. So they robbed his money being unaware by this rule and the manager did nothing to help . Don’t come here unless you want to be bamboozled by non updated prices, taxed prices and robbed money !

Eco Thrift is the most inexpensive Thrift Shop bar none in the Bay Area. They have a great selection of all clothes the employees are pretty decent people. Im talking about the store in Hayward thats the only one Ive been to so far.

The one thrift store that I think you can still find a great deal. Word to the wise: every day of the week the parking lot and aisles are packed like crazy, and the crowds who go here are equally crazy for some reason?? But the staff is friendly and somehow they keep this place organized and clean. All said, check it out!

Update: I went shopping this visit. They have quite a variety of items and were very busy. I bought 7 items of clothing. Great jewelry collection. Previous visit: Well, my bad, I failed to view the hours to drop off donations which they do post on their website. Thus my donations were not accepted. Ill take my gently used designer shoes elsewhere.Seems like a very popular store, very busy with customers.Reviews are mostly positive. I may come back and shop next month.

This spot is my favorite thrift store, because it has the cheapest and widest assortment of used goods in the Bay. Every week, three price tag colors are designated at 75%, 50%, and 25% off. Highly recommend for used dinnerware sets, pots, misc home goods, office supplies, or women’s clothes (S-XL sizes).Eco thrift resells items that goodwill may not accept, making it a good spot for donation drop-offs.No returns allowed; credit card accepted.

Ever since corporate came in, everything is messed up. Prices are ridiculous, this is not Ebay. People come here for a deal, or simply because they cant afford to pay full price. Not even goodwills price increases come close to ecothrifts!This is just another example of corporate greed. Not to mention the store is always empty no matter what time you come in now.Want to give a 1 star for the price increase, however the employees are the BEST. They are always very friendly and helpful.Do better corporate! You need to come back in and change things back to what they were. Especially in this economy, you think people are going to pay MORE then what ebay has things up for?

I came by here because it’s a nice little thrift store. While on this day I saw some Kobe’s that they kept in the back where all the “collectible” stuff where. My heart sank when I found out those Kobe’s WHERE $700! I didn’t know this was a pawn shop.

Just was here 30 minutes prior and wanted to look at the item behind the jewelry case and when I asked the worker she proceeded to give so much attitude when I gave direct explanation on what I wanted to see its not even 12 who wakes up with such negativity in their heart didnt even want to shop anymore if thats what was to expect from the other workers

Its actually my husband who does a lot of shopping at Eco Thrift in Mission Blvd, Hayward, California. He swears by the very affordable prices for anything from clothes to cookware! Good finds some days, especially if you go early enough. Tuesdays are usually busy right at opening. Can be pretty crowded on certain days and times. Just be aware people dont know what manners are, so you wont find the best behaved or considerate customers, but thats just about any place these days.

This Eco thrift is the worst! Extremely overpriced items, rude employees, terrible layout, combined with pushy, grabby, horrible customers. I couldn’t wait to leave. I told my Husband that I would wait for him in the car.

I have been going to this thrift store for a while because it offers weekly break down base by the colored price mark. I dont necessary going there to buy my important daily must but rather to go there to enjoy the hunting for bargainsI have started to notice that store employees would go around the aisles, especially, Tuesday morning/afternoon changing the 75% off ticket to the non sale ticket, also, bring the 75 % off items away from the shelves.....So far, I always have a cheerful time to shop at this place and believing there are many others like myself. However, loosing the idea of bargain hunting should a bit of disappointment.

I’ve going to this thrift store for years but I barely noticed that they charge double the tax, if you look at the receipt you can see that they charge you tax on every single item that you scan and also at the very end the charge sale tax, I’m not sure if it’s even legal to do thatUpdate!I was there this past weekend and bought some stuff just to check if they were still doing the double tax, and my ticket was different this time they didn’t charge me the double tax, I did mention to some of the people who work there and I don’t don’t if that had anything to do or posting the pic here.

A shockingly good selection in this thrift store, you can really find some awesome treasures if you are willing to take the time. Prices are reasonable and generally seem a bit more down to earth than goodwill. Things are clean and organized which is sometimes rare to find in a thrift. Don’t expect “service” and the self check out registers are a little wonky.

Well, they dont have price checkers and since you get donations you should have a special day if the month where it is all 50% off everything or even have drawings for people to win things and that way you keep them coming. I am glad that they are open here in Hayward. I have donated a bag at least a week, and it would be nice to give coupons to those who donate and give so that way they can also benefit or come to purchase or even have punch cards and when you get like 4 stamps you get 50% off and or if you get more then 8 stamps you get 40% of household goods or other departments like shoes, housewares, clothing, mens clothing, or even what you sell on end caps as you walk to the cashier all the candies or different things maybe give 20% off on any misc. Items .The one in Fremont was cool. I use to go there, and they would have drawings for for men, women, and also give certificates for 20 or 30 or 50% off of purchases. Do they help the needy? Probably not

Say what you will about this place but as someone whos been to at least 10 Goodwills and 2 Savers in the Bay, this is the best thrift shop by far. Their prices are better than their competitors and they seem to rotate through items consistently. Not to mention theyre bigger than most Goodwills and Savers. I was just here yesterday and their clothing/shoes section was neatly organized. A huge bonus is that they have an organized section for quality antique/vintage stuff. I havent been here in a couple of years and wanted to slap myself for missing out on what couldve been some amazing buys.

You can get lost in this thrift store for hours and hours. They have so much stuff. And best of all there are lots and lots of employees walking around to help you find stuff. I however, did not find what I was looking for, and they dont have plus size for the womens section. The one hairdryer I was going to buy didnt work when I plugged it in. Also, they dont sale furniture, which is what I was looking for. But going there is a fun experience.

They have everything and at Fantastic prices especially if you have the right color tag. (Check the back wall as you enter) However if your item is not marked with a price, you wont be taking that item home. ALSO: note to Eco Thrift: PLEASE please stop stapling your tags to the clothing. Theyre a danger and they actually do put holes in the clothes. Otherwise we love your store. 😀

This is the BEST thrift store in the East Bay, and honestly probably the larger Bay Area. The prices just cannot be beat, and in addition to the already low prices there are also tag sales where certain colors are 25%, 50% and 75% off. There is a HUGE selection of items, especially clothes. You will undoubtedly find something you want here anytime you visit. If you love thrifting, this is definitely the store for you!

Great place to find good cheap clothes (as well as other house items). The good stuff is usually gone by midday, but dont come until 10 or so - thats usually when theyre done restocking. Correct me if Im wrong, but the Vallejo branch I frequented more so before I moved to Hayward priced their items much cheaper, however.

Another mans/womans donation is another mans/womans treasure. This thrift store is GIGANTIC and Im not even playing! It is like the size of a Walmart!!Many thrift stores are fine with just having some couple rows and thats it. This place has about 20 plus aisles of clothing, electronics, shoes.While most of the men clothing I just eh, youll find some good clothes here once in a while.The womens clothing is massive and youre always guaranteed to find something you love! The aisles are sorted by style and size and color so you dont have to spend extra time on a treasure hunt. Be aware that the dressing rooms have a six piece limit so when you go in here make sure you have plenty of time to try on the clothes. Make sure you try them on before 30 minutes before closing because thats when they close the fitting rooms. Behind the counter is where they have more expensive electronics which you will need help looking at.Dont freak out when you dont find the other shoe in a pair because they have the more expensive ones up front!The best part about all of this is that there are colored tags which specify how much more percent off you will get which comes to 25,50 or 75% depending on the tag. Make sure you take care of the clothes tag because if it is out, they will not sell it and put it out the next day!This is probably the best thrift store in the Bay Area that Ive been to

They have a ton of clothes for women, throw pillows, blankets, baby stuff, some toys. The prices for clothing are generally really great and the sale stuff is so plentiful. The average price of shirts I got today on sale was about 70 cents. At savers its really rare to find shirts under 5 dollars now even on sale. There is almost no furniture if any, only a couple lamps.

Echo is a great place for the community! The prices are for the most part are good but sometimes things are over priced borderline rediculous. The staff is great and friendly but management seems to be a bit on edge when dealing with customers, i understand the stress when in a management position because i am in one as well, but cmon, put on a smile and be more friendlier! Im a regular here, coming in at least 3 times a week for retail therapy and give kudos to the employees for the great job they are doing on the floor, organizing, refolding,putting items back to correct places when in the wrong places and not leaving it a shambles! Hayward is not San Ramon and definitely isnt the wealthiest of communities, so I think its a great store for Haywards residents to come and find affordability especially during a pandemic that has taken away so many jobs! The only thing i think should change is the sometimes high prices on toys because when i see parents or grand parents try to buy one but tell their child they cant afford it (sometimes rightfully so) it saddens me. I also see the elderly who are on fixed incomes come in not being able to afford items so a senior discount on perhaps a certain day would be a helpful gesture to our aging community. The children and the elderly are our future leaders and the very people who brought them into our world so lets accomodate them a bit 🤗Good job Echo!!! Very large location. Good used variety of items. Can check electrical with power plugs. Good clothes and housewares.Even sporting goods and large book section. Gets very busy by 3 pm most days. They have really nice things for sale but to expensive and when the color that is on sale finally hits the 50% or the 75% discount you dont find any clothes with that discount i don’t understand whats the point of doing that when they walk around the store and remove all the items on sale and i know this for a fact because i went in Saturday night and theres was so much clothes that was going to be on sale the next day so i dint buy so i was one of the first ones in on Sunday and nothing was on sale How can that be if I was one of the last ones to leave on Saturday and one of the first ones to get there and on Sunday and there was nothing. All I can say is OMG! You can spend the day at this store. Reasonably priced and each day you have discounts for the week (They change it every Sunday). Just wish the customers put back shoes with their match. Any shoe $20 or more, the match is at the register. Come on people, have some class and put things back where you found them. It is very dirty here... Like a Goodwill pretty much. Didnt really find anything, especially since it seemed like everything was pretty dirty. The things behind the counter were pretty cool, and the clothes just werent my style, but they do have a lot to choose from. Im not very good at thrift shopping, but there is a lot of clothes here. The mens selection is way smaller than the womens. The only thing I think thats worth buying are the clothes here, everything else was pretty beat up.

First time ever going & when i drove into the parking lot i was pleased with the size of the building with ample parking.I went specifically to get books & was quite suprised to find out they didnt sell them,one of the staff said because of covid restrictions which made no sense to me but o.k.,so i went into the electronics section & found a c.d player,it looked great & even had a tag that said inspected & works so i purchased it, took it home, plugged it in only to find out it didnt work.Yes the power came on but it would not play ANY cd including brand new ones.Then i read the return policy that basically says NO RETURN OR EXCHANGES & BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK..NOW THATS SOME B.S. AND SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO DO....first & last time patronizing Eco -Thrift with policies as such.

Love this Thrift Store. It has a 3 color discount ticket system - 25%, 50% and 75% off. However, the way they reorganized [space saving] the womens pants and books is irritating. The cramped spacing makes it hard to go through.Edit: they fixed the womens pants and the books are tucked away in a side area. It appears the have less selection now.

It takes a certain amount of time to go through any thrift store, look at everything, and then find usable things. When you get up to the counter to pay, only to be told they wont sell it to you because it has no price tag, and they wont price it for you, or let you take it to the back and get it priced, that is the most shoddy customer service and policy any store could have. It is insulting to the customer and absolutely ridiculous policy for a store to have. Dont donate to this store. There are better ones out there!

Its the best thrift store in Hayward. Some stuff is over priced but the mark down frequently. Down fall is if something is missing a price they wont price it for you. They tell you to come back tomorrow. They lack customer service, cashiers never say thank you. None of the workers are friendly and do not want to be bothered when you have a question.

Today was my first day there. I found a beautiful decorative piece for my bar and the cashier says she cant sell it because its not priced. I offered to wait but she says its policy to take 1 day to price an item. Thats pretty absurd when were talking about a donated item. The name should be Nordstroms thrift the way they were eyeballing two ladies like they were shoplifting all while the two ladies are having their items rung up (what was that about?). Im thinking its a type of work release program because the workers are taking thrifting way too serious. Otherwise the store is pretty organized and items are fairly priced.

Reasonable prices. Nice pieces. The cashiers tend to leave security tags. MAKE SURE BEFORE LEAVING THAT ALL TAGS ARE REMOVED. They will refuse to remove any tags without a receipt; which makes sense. I witnessed an incident where a woman said she bought a $40 blouse with the security tag left on. The woman ended up giving the shirt back to the store, since she wouldnt be able to wear it. Shortly after, I walked out with the few items i bought and the alarm went off. NOT COOL. I have a bad habit of thowing all my receipts aways, i would have been screwed if that alarm wouldnt have gone off.

This place is always crowded and its so hard to get any help. The prices here are insane but still I check them out sometimes, but not anymore.Last night, while looking through the sewing stuff, not only did I encounter a pair of hose slippers that smelled strongly of dirty feet but they were selling some sort of animal pelts!By the size and feel of them, I took them to be rabbit pelts, but OMG! I COULDNT BELIEVE IT! Animal fur, right there, $9.99 each! Right next to the yarn and lace!I will never go back to this site again.

I simply went in for a bag of a certain size which I found at your place and I was very happy with it. But when I went to purchase it it did not have a tag and because of that I was not allowed to purchase the item. Even the managerial staff stated they couldnt do anything about retagging it. This is an unbelievably frustrating practice which I will not allow anybody whos trying to make a quick Buy to deal with.

A large store lots of electronics lots of lots of clothes books shoes kitchenware and more.I like a thrift store that isnt afraid to put it out on the sales floor. Some thrift stores seem to try to look like a boutique.Eco isn t and thats a good concept. Stores that try to hard leave not to look like a thrift store leave many items they someone might buy. I remember one Salleys that had some towels that had minor small rips but were basically in good shape. I was looking for towels to put on my windshield at night to stop ice build up .those perfect for my use were only fifty cents .Store employee said restaurants buy these roles for their kitchens .thats a smart store they got money for something someone else might have thrown out .Yes ECO is that kind of smart store. So shop there or find stores in your hometown you help the employees and your local economy your landfill and the environment .Have fun I know I and my friends go there as often as we can!
