Moses was so thorough with the chimney inspection and detailed with his explanations which I appreciated. The manager Jonathan was very kind and detailed as well with any follow up questions we had. The work that was performed took 4hrs and they did the following: crown resurface, deep clean the chimney system, applying smoketite to the smoke chamber, also breastplate and joint repair. Chris and Daniel were the two main technicians performing the work (management stopped by too and did some work and check on things which was great). Chris and Daniel explained exactly what they were going to do and reviewed it again once or was complete. They were very punctual, polite and hard workers and cleaned everything up really well once they were done. I highly recommend Eco Grizzly!

The company rescheduled 4 times before actually coming out to give me an estimate.Jack, was really nice, came out and gave me an estimate. For:1. A chimney cap (online for $70)2. Concrete crown repair/replace ($20 a bag of concrete)3. Cleaning inside a chimney I didn’t use for 20 years.My total came out to a whopping $2300. This doesn’t include the gas valve that I actually need to turn on the fireplace. That can be an additional $300-400 extra with their plumber.I called another company, quoted me $750 for the job. But my local handy man will do the entire job for $320. SMH. I was speechless! Very disappointed how they take advantage of people by pretending the work is substantial and by adding life time warranty to try and justify their pricing.Always get quotes from multiple people. Be careful out there.

Eco Grizzly responded to my call about needing a chimney mason. I was aware of repairs that were needed above the roof line and just above the firebox inside. The first thing I loved about my Eco Grizzly experience was that they did exactly what they said they were going to do over the phone. The 21 point inspection was extremely thorough. They explained, with clear photos, what was working and just fine and what areas (which I knew about) needed repair. I liked that they pinpointed the problems. At that time, they offered me a gas fire log set within my budget so I could start to have some fun! I hadnt had a fire in the fireplace for seven years. Eco Grizzly sent out a crew including Poli and Mario that repaired all the structural issues. I was so impressed. They were very thorough and I could tell they were experienced. They installed the fire log set as well and taught me about its features. I just love it. The room is cozy and warm now because of Eco Grizzly and I have peace of mind about the entire chimney structure. I will be using them for regular inspections and cleaning when needed. I would highly recommend them!

Eco Grizzly inspected our fireplace and chimney. They verified that we did not have a cap, the chimney was clean, and the damper was not working correctly. We had cold air entering the room during the winter and hot air during the summer.Since our fireplace did not have a cap and the original damper was built into the chimney, the most economical solution was to install a cap with a damper.The inspection was on time and the inspector was very professional. The installation was done within the week after the inspection. We were informed when installation team would arrive vie text and phone call. The team was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and installation was done correctly. They also cleaned up after the installation.We would highly recommend Eco Grizzly!

The inspection was thorough and pictures were taken before and after the cleaning. My only complaint was the shopvac the cleaning crew had needed a new filter and blew fine dust out the exhaust. I then insisted on using my own shopvac since it had a new filter and didnt polute my air space. Other than that cleaning crew did a good job on a fireplace chimney that hadnt been cleaned in 20 years. I liked the fact that youre provided with a link to track the service reps progress to my house about an hour out from each appointment. The cleaning was scheduled within a few days of the inspection.

Tarson seemed very knowledgeable when he came out to do the iinitial nspection of our gas fireplace, but I had been under the assumption that this was a local company because the coupon I had clipped listed a local phone number (deceptive advertising in my opinion). I also had presumed that if work was needed, it would be done at the same time as the inspection. I was wrong on both counts. Turns out this company was based about 80 miles from my home, and I suspect, judging from their prices, that we were paying for their travel time. In all fairness, the repair work and cleaning of our fireplace was performed in a professional manner, they took care to protect our carpet and floors, and were polite and efficient. Also, the inspection fee was deducted from the final invoice, which we appreciated. But I still believe they were way overpriced for both labor and parts -- even with discounts applied. Our final bill came to more than $800 (before subtraction of the $149 inspection fee) for what turned out to be about an hours worth of work. Afterwards, when I checked on Amazon, it looked to me like the parts involved in the repairs probably cost less than $125. You do the math. Next time, I will stick with a local company.

Met and talked with several chimney/fireplace repair and restoration businesses over the past several months. Jonny really listened and provided options to design a solution for my home. He has done a fantastic job of providing detail on questions, responding to calls, and in reviewing every step of the process and timeline. Looking forward to having the work completed over the next few weeks and will update when the process is complete.Nov. 2022 Update: Process took longer due to issues with the city to obtain proper required permits. When we finally had permits in place - Jonny and team were ready to go and completed installation in mid-November. Team worked for a week to complete the job and were flexible with additional changes along the way. Appreciate the team removing an old satellite dish off the roof and removing items from the roof. Happy to reccomend Eco-Grizzly for fireplace replacement services. The office staff and team are friendly, respond to calls and emails quickly and provide a quality product for their customers.Below are a couple of photos - before, during and after. We plan to have a natural stone surround that will go from floor to ceiling.

I think they did a great job and would recommend them to others based on their expertise in their trade and their dedication to providing great service. Below are details of my experience...Pros:Experience: Eco Grizzly knew the trade well, more specifically my neighborhood and the kind of chimneys they historically have. IF these chimneys are damaged it can impact the value of the home. I felt safe going with them and didnt feel the same with others. That was the most important to me.Cost: It is entirely reasonable. I got three estimates, and Eco Grizzly was right in the middle.Execution: they completed the job well, left the place spotless upon completion. They returned after the job was done to show me everything and make sure I understood everything that was done. Including it being backed by a solid warranty.Responsibility: Things were done well, but there were some communication errors. The company took responsibility and rectified things readily.Con: interoffice communication- as mentioned above, the communication between the staff could improve, but this was not a hinderance to get the work done nor the quality of the work.I would absolutely recommend them and am grateful to them for keeping costs affordable and getting a gas log installed in time for christmas!

So.... just save all your time, energy, and money that Ive already wasted in the quest for a fireplace overhaul. Thats what mine needed from top to bottom. From my first call to the office, I was impressed by their professionalism. They scheduled me right away to get over and look at it. Mosas and crew showed up ON TIME and did a thorough inspection of my chimney and fireplace. Moses spent nearly an hour explaining in great detail all the problems and what we needed to do to get things back in order. Some of which could have been catastrophic. 2 days later, they arrived early, did all the work we discussed and then some. They re-mortered some of the detached bricks and cosmetic facing bricks, refitted a gas line all for free. Not to mention, the price for all the other work was cheaper than the other 3 bids I had. They left NO MESS. Which if you did anything with a fireplace, you know what kind of mess you have to deal with. So, just skip all the others, hire ECO Grizzly and you will be thoroughly satisfied. Id give em 10 stars if I could!

When I scheduled an appointment with Grizzly, the waiting time was supposed to be more then 2 weeks. But they were able to reschedule it for the earlier time. The technician explained to me what the problem was and gave me several options of fixing my fireplace to choose from. The started the following week. The team is very professional, honest and friendly. They also explained to me how to use new equipment and how the system works. After the work was completed, they cleaned up. Called Eco Grizzly when our gas fireplace stopped lighting and easily scheduled an appointment. Johnathan G was punctual, professional, and efficiently identified the issue. He was able to fix the problem without any tools, so we only paid the inspection fee. Its been running fine since (over a month). Bottom Line: Moses is the first contractor in the AV that I have worked with that I trust.I scheduled a chimney inspection with Eco, and they were prompt and professional. Moreover, when we reviewed the inspection results, Moses was straight-forward with me. Even though I ended up making the repairs myself (I am pretty handy, and his instructions were nothing but straightforward and genuine), I had to leave this review. Moses explained the smaller repairs, and when I asked if this was something I could DIY, he showed me the same products he would have bought at the big box stores and gave me clear instructions. He still offered to do it for me, but let me know that it would be a quick process if I were okay with getting on the roof myself. Finally, with the larger repair (the replacement of two refractory panels), Moses quoted me a good price. Still, when I asked if this was something I could do myself, he answered honestly: he did not know where I would procure the refractory panels (he has his own source as a business and I ended up finding only one small business in town that sold them), and the cutting of this material would require safety gear and a diamond blade. Well, my wife and I did just that, and we are grateful to Moses for conducting the chimney inspection ($149) and ALSO being direct and honest regarding our abilities.If you are willing to get your hands dirty, Moses will gladly tell you exactly what you need to do. On the other hand, if DIY is not your thing, I would trust Moses to work on my house with the knowledge that he would not cut corners or misuse my trust.

A few weekend ago when it was cold we decided to light up the fireplace after a long time we haven’t used it, after lighting the fire smoke started to go inside the house instead of going up the chimney, the next morning I called and Maureen picked up the phone, she was very informative and understanding, making the effort to send one of the technician to our house the same day. Johnny came and inspected the chimney, our crown was broken and we had no cap and a extremely dirty chimney as we have never cleaned it. We had met with several fireplace companies, but felt we were getting ripped off with every estimate we received and getting responses or availability was ridiculously slow. From my first email to Eco Grizzly, their communication was stellar. They were upfront about costs for the inspection and made sure we were clear about how the process works. I want to share my experience with eco grizzly. As a service business owner my self in the HVAC industry I’m always skeptical about other service guys coming to my house and working. I have a old chimney that I needed work on. Johnny, who is the supervisor for eco grizzly came out and preformed a inspection, he was thorough, inspected every component of the chimney system and provided me a detailed report. We sat down and Johnny explained everything that popped up in his inspection. Told me what was the solution for every point of the inspection. Highly knowledgeable, knows every little detail and code. We agreed on the scope of work (new flue liner installation) to get the chimney up to code and to be safe to operate. When they came out to preform the work, Johnny and his crew came early in the morning, set up moving blankets to lay all the equipment and rolled paper to cover every area that can be effected from the work. Demolition was clean and fast, preparation for the flue liner installation, and the installation was very professional and safe, they used safety harness on the roof. Nothing but great works to say about Eco grizzly, Johnny and the crew. After work was finished they cleaned up everything and followed up a few days later to check that everything cured properly. Will recommend them to everyone in need of chimney service or any other service they provide, honest, great communication and A+ on workmanship.

I saw Eli working on my neighbor’s chimney, so I called out & asked if he had a card. He didn’t. Instead, he came over when he was done & inspected my chimney right then… At 5:30pm! What! Who does that?! I was impressed with Eli’s customer service and even more impressed by him telling me what I *didn’t* need and what great shape my chimney is still in instead of upselling me services/repairs I don’t need. I’m scheduling his return for a deep cleaning before the colder temps roll in and feel confident doing so with Eli & Eco Grizzly.

I knew what I wanted and I got just that without pushy add ons.Deep clean return (main), deep clean ducts with roto brush tool, and system disinfection afterwards. This review is for service done back in January. The price that I was quoted for the work being done was very high and it was my fault that I didn’t get other quotes to compare at the time. I was in a hurry to get the work done. I had an afternoon window for my appt. They didn’t show up until after 4pm and it was winter so it got dark at 5. A job that I was told was going to take 3-4 hours took not even an hour and a half for 1700.00. The mess left behind on my roof was not cleaned up and the chimney brick on the roof now looks horrible. I need to find time to get up there and look at everything to come up with a solution. I recommend getting quotes from several companies. Don’t have them do it if they will be there until after nightfall where you cannot inspect it yourself.Eli was nice enough and office staff was friendly.

ZERO STARS--but they wont post this without stars. This was for chimney sweeping--not just an estimate.I consider this a scam. He came in the door saying he had his equipment and was ready to do the job. He told me of problems(that could result in issues)that would cost over $4,000 to address, upselling me right away.When he found out I was not interested in it and only wanted cleaning, he said he would not be able to do it and someone would come tomorrow. I canceled at that point.He was only a Salesman and did not answer questions. Several times he repeated dont worry about it(like when I asked what an inspection entailed) and I dont want you to waste your money( just getting a cleaning when you need more and may have a problem in the future if you dont do these things).He drove away without taking his ladder which was right next to the front door. I think this shows he was a Salesman in a hurry to go to the next person and not used to having equipment to take with him. What workman would leave a ladder?He was in his van driving away when he must have seen the ladder as he looked at the house because he backed up and came and got it.I did report this to to a woman who said she was a supervisor. I used the phone number I made the appointment with.Price-wise, the estimate for what I wanted was $250 for deep cleaning but a separate $299 for the smoke shelf.

You technician,Joey completed the job for my fireplace issues. He inspected the primary complaint that I was having with the fireplace. He then cleaned the area before patching up the nessecary areas that notably needed mending. I used Eco Grizzly For chimney inspection cleaning And repair the duct chain chain by replacing it with a new one. The work was good, The guy who did the work was very nice Im thorough. But, the price was much higher than I thought it would be. But I accepted it because the other places I called did Is not know how or could fix or replace the chain to the duct/flue. Because of the rain at the last moment my scheduled appointment was postponed to the next day because the guy had to fix somebody elses chimney because of rain coming in their house.

I called because my fireplace gas valve was stuck and I could not turn on; I thought the flue was blocked by a safety device installed by another service provider, but that wasn’t the case, the tech Josh was able to open the valve. However, he found cracks in the fireplace which needed to be sealed. It cost more than I anticipated, but I am satisfied with the work and will use them again.
