The view sitting on the couch next to the fireplace with the disappearing glass doors open, listening to and watching the waves took my breath away every morning. The home is spectacular; comfy beds, modern, clean. Communication with Drift was quick and friendly.The day after check in, our daughter was proposed to on the sand in front of the home. It was absolutely beautiful and the spacious outdoor patio area was a perfect place for a few loved ones to watch and congratulate.The home was so peaceful and comfortable that we extended our stay an extra 2 nights. Lucky for us, it was available!

We stayed here for 10 days and had an absolutely amazing time! It was so clean and had everything we could have needed .. not to mention the great location to walk to the beach and a great surf spot (tourmaline) .. we made great use of the rooftop fire pit and the grill. Overall an exceptional experience and we are sad we had to leave!

Such a lovely home. Nice and quiet on the bay. House was fully equipped with what we needed in the kitchen, and if you were going to the beach. Rooftop patio was lovely, we had too many rainy days to enjoy it fully but did bbq one rainy evening. Very clean and comfortable. Drift Vacations was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a cute house!!! We loved this adorable rental! Its just as nice as the pictures show. The beds are comfortable, the appliances are nice, and it has a great bathroom set up. The patio is lovely. The view of the bay is fantastic and its a very short walk to the beach side. We loved the location, its off the main “party” part of the beach so its quiet but close enough to get there easily. We rented bikes for the kids and they were able to get around town easily. The management company was super responsive and very helpful.A couple of reviewers commented on the airplane noise, we heard planes every now and then, but it wasnt bad. They stop at night and Im pretty sure you could hear them from most of the beach. The only thing I found mildly annoying is that a lot of the closets, drawers and cabinets are locked which makes storage limited. I would definitely rent this house again or recommend it to others. Loved it.

Amazing stay! What a beautiful place with a great location... walking distance to food, the boardwalk, shopping and even the amusement park! The beach right outside your door is priceless. I cant wait to come back. The hosts were great and very helpful.

We had a wonderful stay. Place is just like in the pictures and location is just two blocks from the beach. We will definitely come back next summer. Our only suggestion will be to have a fire pit on the outside sitting area. Other than that everything was great.

We stayed a week at the oceanfront Mission Beach property in San Diego -- It was absolutely amazing. The home was immaculate and has everything you need! The provide all of kitchen and bath essentials. The views were fantastic. The text service and responsive times were within 10 minutes (only had to contact them because we wanted to extend our days at the home, we could not get enough of it!).Overall, amazing rental properties and customer service! I would not look anywhere else when trying to book your next vacation rental! Thanks again!

Nicely kept, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, nice amenities, beautiful condo! Love the peaceful sound of the ocean no matter where you are in the condo. Watching the surfers all day every day was enjoyable and the sunsets were beautiful. Communication with owner was easy and quick. We had no issues and would definitely come here again! Had fabulous dinners at World Famous, which was walking distance, and The Fish Market. Walking the boardwalk and on the beach every day was lovely.

This was the same beach house that I would go to as a teenager almost two decades ago but in the last several years they tore down the old beach house amd built a three story beach house in its space. They kept the same color scheme on the outside from what I can remember but I decided to rent out the penthouse for nostalgia sake and also to see the new build in person and it didn’t disappoint. It definitely felt like staying at a luxury condo. They did a real nice job on the new build and after I think 6-8 years since it was built, they have kept it nice and clean. The management company was very responsive to my messages whenever we needed anything. Ultimately, we went there as a family to enjoy the beach house and make awesome memories that the family and I could remember forever and that mission was accomplished. Thanks for a great stay. We already have several vacations planned for next year but I could definitely see ourselves coming in a couple years to make even more fun memories!

We recently stayed in this home hosted by Drift Vacation Homes and we loved the place! It was extremely clean and comfortable and had a very well equipped kitchen and amenities. The place is in a great location, especially traveling with 3 children - very close to the beach, the bay, Belmont Park, and great restaurants. Also convenient to theme parks in the area. Would definitely look to stay here again next time were in San Diego!

A beautiful place right on the beach to relax & soak in the sound of the waves! I slept in the master bedroom which faces the ocean and listened to the waves crashing as my lullaby every night. It was so therapeutic and just what my soul needed to relax and reset! It’s on the top level so I really enjoyed the deck off the living room to look at the ocean, surfers, & even saw dolphins in the morning! The kitchen had everything we needed & then some and the 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms were beautifully done. It was a wonderful stay on Mission Beach in San Diego!! Thank you so much!🙏🏻😁😎🏝️🌊🐋🏄‍♂️

All of our needs and wants were satisfied and then some. The location on mission beach is perfect and the view is outstanding. Wonderful stay on Kolmar Street! Great location in La Jolla and a quiet neighborhood. One block walk to Windandsea Beach. You can ride a bike along the beach all the way to La Jolla Cove from the house. This is a great family home rental, but it was perfect for our two couples. The house was very clean which is one of my top priorities. We cooked dinner all but two nights during our 2 week stay, so I was very pleased with the well equipped kitchen. Our favorite area to hang out was the seating area out in the front of the house. You can see the sun go down from there. Great place for late afternoon cocktails. Also, great star gazing from the rooftop. Drift Vacation Homes were super easy to work with. Christy was amazingly helpful with getting us setup with the house rental. I had no doubt she would have gone above and beyond helping us during our stay, but we had no issues with the house and she had already sent us lots of info on San Diego and La Jolla ahead of time. Such a relaxing trip - it was really hard to leave to go back to the east coast. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Christy!

Great place. The home made incredible use of the space. It had three bathrooms to go along with the three rooms which made those immediate after the beach showers super quick for everybody. The one room with the bunks and trundle worked out wonderfully for our small kids. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. We enjoyed eating outside each meal at the table with umbrella. The location was incredible. We walked to the bay or beach (usually beach) almost each day with the provided sand castle shovel/toys/supplies and the beach chairs. We really enjoyed driving to La Jolla more than once as well as the zoo / Balboa and it was an easy short drive. The boardwalk is totally overrated and unimpressive. It’s very walkable for those who want to go there but fortunately this location next to the beach and bay feels far removed from it and very peaceful. Also, there is a nice park on the bayside going north that is very popular with the kids. Just be mindful of the garage. It’s built for a compact car. We still parked our minivan in it but it is VERY tight (and you have to take your roof luggage rack off given the low ceiling). Overall, the rental company staff was incredibly responsive and helpful and good to work with.

I will never stay in another place in Pacific Beach! I have stayed here twice during my daughter’s college years, and it has become one of my most beloved places. The home blends perfectly with the ocean before it - with its picture windows, classy but simple decor, and subtle hues of blues and whites. You feel like you are on the beach even when inside! It is divine!

Took my grandchildren to this property and it was wonderful. The views are amazing. The surrounding area offers a large variety of things to do. The home has everything you could possibly need. Well maintained and cozy. Our favorite spot was the large patio. Plenty of room to play games and cozy up to the fire pit at night. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

For years I have been bringing my family from Idaho to mission beach for family vacations. I have honestly rented 15 plus properties in mission beach and ocean beach. This property and the management are by far the best I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The management was on point, very responsive and helpful beyond expectations. The property itself was amazing. I was able to park a suburban in the garage at the house which is very rare. The house itself was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Very short walk to the head of the beach and boardwalk. Was perfect for my family and had everything provided you would want. I can’t recommend this property or the management enough. Excellent house and location. Four of us stayed for 3 weeks this month. The house has all quality items.. beds, appliances, artwork, and a well equipped kitchen. For example, every bed has a reading light. One block up from awesome Windandsea beach, so coastal walks are close. This is the house/location you want to rent ‘cause it’s unaffordable to buy. This house is FABULOUS! We rented for our daughter’s college graduation with aunt, uncle and cousins 13 in total and we had plenty of room. The house is modern and very clean and has everything you would need. The most spectacular sunset from the backyard. We were all sad to leave. The host were unbelievably helpful and very attentive. Where to start?!?! This place is amazing! Such great views, easy to get to everything, super clean and updated, all the amenities you could ask for. Beds are comfy, balcony is just perfect for taking in incredible sunrises over the bay. A quick walk to the Oceanside or a little park down the way.Great local eats - the Blue Palm cafe on Mission Blvd & San Gabriel is adorable snd soooo yummy! Draft right on Mission Beach (next to Cannonball) had amazing Fish & Chips! Drive to Ramona for beautiful scenery & sooooo many wineries! Definitely go to Old Town and eat at Cafe Coyote - legit Mexican food and don’t forget to get churros!!! And the waffles at Cafe 222 in Gaslamp Quarter is heaven!We can’t wait to stay here again!

Loved the location and proximity to Belmont park and beach, easy parking on location and best of all, the patio seating overlooking the bay, making it a perfect spot to have your coffee and drinks while people watching and enjoying the view. It was clean and super comfortable and had anything and everything we needed to enjoy or stay. I really don’t have anything negative to say, but…the upstairs noise and hard stumping through the evening, not really the owners fault and i’m sure they would have been quick to react if I needed to address any situations. Overall, I will most definitely book again! A small fire pit would have been great, just not sure if that’s even allowed on the property, but would have made our time on the patio perfect :)Thank you for a great weekend stay!

The Drift Vacation Home we stayed at in San Diego exceeded our expectations! It was beautiful and very large, with five full bathrooms and five large bedrooms. The kitchen is very large and well appointed with high end appliances. The home is about a five minute walk to the beach and even closer to a grocery store. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We really enjoyed our stay! The Drift team communicates very well and is quick to respond with any questions you have. We would definitely recommend and stay again!

Love, love this property and definitely will stay again. Beautiful view of the ocean through big, clean windows. Great location, interior design very appealing. Love hard surface floors that can be easily cleaned.The king bed was comfortable, nice furnishings and nice size closets with hangers. Also, an ironing board and iron and hair dryer provided.Queen bed was a bit hard and not very comfortable. An added 3-inch gel-foam topper would solve this issue.Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and utensils for cooking. Nice stove and refrigerator.The home is nicely thought out and beautifully remodeled.It is great there is an outside shower to wash sand off.Loved the deck and furnishings.Location was great and there were some restaurants that were a short 5 minute walk.Also, so nice to have screens on all the windows! We were able to enjoy the sound of the waves and feel the ocean breeze and not worry about flies and mosquitoes entering. You can also hear the ocean at night from the bedrooms and it made for a restful sleep.They have great staff that were very responsive when we had a question.We absolutely loved staying at this property.

Perfect location for our family with 3 kiddos 6 and under. Loved the proximity to the bay for quick sand play and the beach, just across Mission Blvd. Perfectly stocked and the single tandem garage was a bonus; we could park a small truck and store the bikes. A few things to note when staying here with littles. There is not a latch on the front gate. And there are steps to the outdoor shower that are not gated. My grandson took off while we were rinsing the others off, and flew down the steps to the alley. We just blocked the steps with the beach wagon and rinsed off out front. We would definitely stay here again.

The pictures are what you get and what you get is fantastic. Direct access to the beach and easy walk to the bay to watch Sea World fireworks at 8:50pm every night. The boardwalk in front of the unit is a pedestrian highway with walkers runners rollerbladers bikes - constant reminders to get out and explore. This section of the beach features less crowds and much more sand volleyball. The beach is safe and there is heavy lifeguard coverage. Walk to Belmont Park and all the touristy stuff is a breeze. Sea World is a close drive and the unit is 15 min to airport. The spotless unit has a first class master and guest with a great bunk room. Perfect for our family of 5. The kitchen is well stocked and some basics were there including spices oil flour etc and enough coffee and laundry detergent for our stay. Appreciate that and all the beach toys chairs etc! I had one issue with the grill - lighter was out of fluid and the market nearby didn’t have one. Management delivered a new one within 2 hours. They even sent back an errant Amazon package and some personal items to my home. Nice touch and attention to detail. It is worth the extra $$ to be directly on the beach if you can swing it - and this bottom floor unit is the best one we could find. We booked directly through Drift and I recommend that. We had a long stay and they provided a small discount which they can’t always do but we appreciated it! Would stay again! Great place + great management = great stay!

Absolutely perfect house for our large family. Every room is like a master bedroom with big comfy beds and plenty of privacy. Ocean and bay views from every room and the huge private deck! The house was extremely clean and well stocked. We rent 2-3 homes per year and this was one of the very best. We will definitely look to rent this place again when we return to San Diego!

This was an amazing condo! Beautiful views, beautiful accommodations, steps from the sand, short walk to the ocean front and Belmont Park. It is kid friendly and our family really enjoyed the top deck at night which had comfortable seating, outdoor dining and kitchen as well as a fire pit. We could also see Sea Worlds fireworks every night. The only thing I will say is parking is tricky with a larger family vehicle. We have a suburban and it was a challenge. Well worth the challenge though! There is a carport and a two car garage to use. We would love to stay here again!

I booked this gorgeous beachfront rental for my Wife’s birthday weekend and could not be more satisfied. The view of the beach is incredible, as is the evening sunsets you will view while you’re feasting on your favorite bbq dinners. The house is equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We also loved looking at the stars on the rooftop patio over the warm fire. Being so close to the beach is such a treat since we were more inclined to go walking on the beach with our little one daily, picking up seashells along the way. The living room literally turns into a large patio when you fully open up the sliding door enclosure. Also, the restrooms are very nice, very clean towels in every bathroom, modernized recently, and spacious. I will definitely come back again! P.S. The Swell team is amazing! Thank you for having us as guests at your beautiful property. We absolutely made some memories and my Wife was over the moon happy which is good for me.

Fantastic location!! Super clean Easy check in and check out process. We were in town for our son’s Navy graduation. This house is one block from the beach, bars and restaurants and a short drive to the naval base and airport. The supermarket, Ralph’s is right behind the house. We brought the beach wagon to the store to make it easy to walk our stuff back to the house. Would stay here again.

We own and manage 20+ rentals and this property exceeded our expectations! It was perfectly clean, very well maintained and had everything we needed! The location was amazing! The chalkboard wall in the unit was cute for our kids. We loved the rooftop deck and hot tub. We had no issues with noise. During our stay there was 4 large SUVs parked there, although it was tight we all fit with no issues. My husband pulled out for me to put kids in their car seats. You could easily walk to so many things! We loved the decks during naptime. You are literally steps from the beach! My son has been begging to go back already!

We were really excited about our trip to San Diego as we had booked this Oceanfront accommodation which looked great in pictures. This was coupled with apprehension due to the fact that we had never really enjoyed an Airbnb as the Reality was very different than the pictures and online depiction.But this property from Driftwood completely changed our opinion. The place was very beautiful, tastefully decorated, and felt nothing short of a luxury hotel. The furniture, the bedding, all accessories and linen, towels, the decor was all top-notch.We ran into some problems due to the road closure and access to parking, but the host driftwood was extremely cooperative and responsive, and worked through the situation quickly. The owner allowed us to check in a little early which helped us since we had flown in early in the day. Rented an oceanfront house through Drift and was not disappointed. The house was exactly as described (even better!) and the Drift people were responsive before and during our rental. We had an issue with the house (no hot water) while we were there and I got a response from my text within two minutes, then constant updates through the day while the issue was being fixed (hot water needed to be replaced). Things happen with houses, particularly when the house is so close to the ocean. This was no different. But the speed with which it was dealt with made me confident to rent with Drift again. Loved my stay here! The house was clean, updated, and perfectly maintained. The main feature is of course the front patio and it did not disappoint either - we enjoyed our nightly west coast sunsets! The location was also quite good - close enough to tourist areas to keep drives short but also had its own nice sidewalk along the beach, direct beach access, and a grocery / couple restaurants that were about a 5-7 minute walk away. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked as well with your expected basics.It’s always appreciated when a place is as advertised. The pictures and notes were all helpful and relevant.As noted by the homeowner and other reviews, the garage is very narrow and the street is semi-busy so I’d suggest avoiding large (or even small) SUV’s if possible. The garage is also not attached to the house so entering and exiting with garage door, gate, and door codes was a bit cumbersome, but not too bad. There is also a small parking lot directly across from the house where beach goers park during the day and some people seem to live out of their vans at night. They were not bothersome and it never felt unsafe or excessively loud, even with our small child, but it is something to be aware of.I’d definitely stay here again - wonderful experience overall!

We stayed for almost 9 days with another couple and I cant say enough about the condo and the management company. The condo was exactly as described. It was wonderful! The views of the water are amazing and the location is perfect. We saw dolphins almost every morning! The condo is located right between the Pacific and Mission Beach busy areas directly on the boardwalk. So, you can walk to either easily, but it is much quieter in front of the condo both on the boardwalk and on the beach. There was anything you could possibly need inside and out. We were two adult couples and it was a great amount of space and privacy for everyone with a king bed for each couple. The primary bedroom is at the front of the condo and the other bedrooms are toward the back. Even though the primary had a bit of a more straight on view of the water, all three bedrooms had water views and the two back bedrooms had private patios. The condo is stocked with everything you could need and has lots of toys to use on the beach. The managements communication and flexibility are extremely responsive. Check in and check out was the easiest Ive ever experienced. We wanted to check in early and add an extra day and they were very accommodating with reasonable rates. Christy was fantastic for anything we needed. We had an amazing vacation and we will definitely be back again!

This is the most beautiful vacation rental we have ever stayed at. The home is decorated in an ocean theme, has all new appliances, a gorgeous ocean view from the upstairs bedroom, and very luxurious bathroom fixtures, including rain shower heads. We had the most amazing stay at the Windsor estate !! The property was gorgeous and we loved the views. The property has so many amenities that make it feel super luxurious At night we would sit by the fire pit and look at the views. Having a heated pool was a bonus as it was colder out. The only thing is the washer was very loud and might be due for upgrade.The bunk beds configuration in the 2nd bedroom is better with a regular full size and twin size in my opinion for adult guests. Communication with management was effective. We enjoyed our vacation and will return for sure!

All of the amenities are incredibly updated & awesome!Love the shower, the comfy beds, the hot tub and everything that they offer (didn’t use the surfboard bc I had my own) but there’s a single fin mid-length board available and a twin swallow tail + many beach towels…& more!Thank you so much for the lovely get away!everything was spectacular. The property managed by Drift Vacation Homes was private, cozy, well-equipped, centrally-located, and immaculately clean. We appreciated the little extra touches--a coffee maker; top-notch appliances; safety features; ample storage for clothes, shoes, and suitcases; device charging station; and large screen TV. Keyless entries were safe and very convenient! It was the perfect place to relax--one could hear the ocean from the property or walk about 100 steps to the beach entrance to see the waves and spectacular sunsets. Similarly, there were many shopping and restaurant options nearby, making the property extremely walkable and convenient. Communications were proactive, helpful, quick, and friendly. This was the most smoothly run vacation experience we have ever had--the perfect way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We cant wait to return and stay longer! We celebrated my mom’s 77th bday and had an incredible time. The place is very big and so many nooks/places to relax and enjoy. The kids loved the back/converted garage with the pool table and kicking it room. The front deck and yard were AMAZING to take in the ocean and gorgeous weather. Plenty of seating everywhere. Front yard was great for bocce and other yard games. Kitchen was large and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable and just about every bedroom had its own bathroom attached. Seemed like tvs were everywhere if needed but we only used the one in the main living room. Place looks like it was recently remodeled and the boat theme was super cool. Some windows couldn’t open or stay open but enough did to take in that ocean breeze. Loved the lighting everywhere. Nice and bright if needed. Jacuzzi was a great way to end the evenings. Off street parking was available if needed but the back secured parking area can fit a lot of cars. Think we had 6 at any given time and still space. The automatic back gate for cars was nice for security although the area seems quite safe. Our family really loved it. The daily sunsets were a hit. It was my mom’s 77th birthday and she couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll be back for sure.

Awesome condo, location and amenities! Has everything you need for the beach and more. Belmont is 10 min along the boardwalk, bayside and ocean are 5 min and Sea World is a 15 min drive. This beach front house was perfect for our week in San Diego! Clean, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen & all the extras needed for time on the beach…chairs, umbrellas, sand toys. Nice having a garage to park the vehicle. Great location for Mission Beach/Belmont Park shops, restaurants, bike & watercraft rentals. The neighborhood has a good vibe. We enjoyed the patio & fire pit & daily walked or biked the path through the cove. It’s a quick drive to the airport, downtown districts, and main visitor attractions. We had a wonderful experience with Drift Vacation Homes staying at The Boat House on Sunset Cliffs!The Boat House at Sunset Cliffs is the perfect home for a beachside getaway. The location is directly across the street from the world famous Sunset Cliffs - where we enjoyed views of the sunset from the front deck every night, and walked along the beachside cliffs to the cutest breakfast spot Little Lion in the mornings.And the house! Beautifully and comfortably decorated, it made for a dream home away from home. Every amenity including beach supplies were available. The home is designed so well. Every bedroom had a unique beach or boating theme with the most comfortable beds. And there was so much room in the house for relaxing! From the wrap around couch in the living room, lounging on the patio, the pool table in the playroom, the large dining area, and of course the hot tub!I highly recommend The Boat House and working with Drift Vacation Homes for your next getaway!

We had a 5-star experience from start to finish at this property. This place is better than described and better than the pictures depict.You will love being a block from the beach and centrally located to all the activities available in San Diego. We even enjoyed a camp fire on the beach one evening.You will find the garage stocked with all the things to enjoy a day or two at the beach in king a wagon, chairs, boogie boards, beach games and more.We traveled with another family and the property gave our party of 10 plenty of space and comfort.The kitchen is a dream and has everything you need and more. Enjoy your coffee of choice at the coffee bar.Comfy beds with extra bedding and blankets, we all slept very well.Outdoor spaces are perfect. We enjoyed both the outside dining areas, the pool and hot tub as well as the outside fireplace.We found the neighbors friendly and welcoming.Trader Joe’s is a little over a mile away and Costco just a few more. We stocked our kitchen more than once given the ease in finding them.We hope to visit again soon!

I booked one of Drift vacations luxury properties in La Jolla for a big family reunion. We stayed at 2808 Bayside Walk #F, in Mission Bay, August 2023. From the very start, we had a great experience with Drift Vacation Homes. We were able to get into the condo early and were blown away with it. I’ve stayed in a lot of short-term rentals, this is one of the rare places where I felt like it wasn’t a rental, it felt like my own home. Very roomy, clean, all the amenities we needed. The private roof top deck with a natural gas bbq and fireplace made hanging around the condo relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and equipment needed to make breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We plan to stay here or another Drift Vacation Homes property again next year.

The house on Tangiers Ct was simply amazing. Picturesque views, comfortable beds, a prime location - we were visiting the zoo, safari park, La Jolla cove - all within a relatively short driving distance.
