Ive had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Us office for the last few months, and I cant express how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received. I have struggled with worsening Folliculitis Decalvans and massive Achne Keloidalis Nuchae (AKN), occupying over 1/3 of my scalp for 19 years. In that time, have attempted various excision, injections, laser, and cryotherapy treatments and procedures from several nationally recognized dermatologists to no avail. Im happy with what the clinic and what dr.u have been able to do for my hair restoration. I didnt know how bad it was until I saw the before and after. Dr.u was also able to identify an inflammatory issue on my scalp that was causing scarring, pervading hair from growing but because of the treatment started seeing improvements.

Avoid avoid avoid!This doctors office is the most unorganized and unprofessional office I have dealt with in years.You will be greeted by Ana at the front office (Also called ov_erwe_ight Ana) who is not competent enough to be handling even a basic position minimum wag_e job as secretary, and will give you attitude through you whole interaction with her. Then you will receive care from Dr. U who works a double shift, acting as the doctor and office manager?? (This should tell you all you need to know) The topical solution the doctor gave me made my condition worse! The doctor is severely undertrained in this field and I wouldnt let him get near me or my scalp with a ten foot pole. Horrible service, rude and incompetent staff, and doctors who are not capable.EDIT: This doctor is not competent enough to be working in this profession, nor any profession. I did not come in on the date he mentioned and I did in fact see this doctor for an appointment. He is now lying on reviews, just as many of his reviews are fabricated, and we are now currently investigating this. I have plenty of peace, what bothers me is people like you, sociopaths who scheme your way through an industry, hurting innocent people. And then you sleep like a baby as you are a sociopath are middle aged, and have nothing else going for you. Go back to school please and educate yourself.

I would sincerely warn anyone who goes to Dr Sanusi Umar or Dr U. I had a procedure done and this Dr is a complete fraud. He is unprofessional. He lied about the amount of grafts that I received. I had very poor results. The work that he did was not done well. He told me he thought I had lichen planopilaris the morning right before he was going to do my procedure. If this was true, he should have never done the procedure. He told me he still wanted to proceed with the surgery. He then told me he would take a biopsy during my procedure and test it for the condition. Weeks after my procedure he sent me lab results saying I tested positive for the condition. This condition that he claimed I had would make all of my hair fall out. Also, I confirmed with other hair Doctors that if he thought I had the condition, he should have never proceeded with the surgery. No upstanding doctor would. He was setting up his excuse for the poor results prior to the procedure. The results were bad as I did not end up with anywhere near the amount of grafts that I paid for. Since my procedure I have had my scalp examined and tested and I do not have the condition that he claimed I had. He is looking to steal your money. DO NOT GO TO HIM AND WARN ANYONE ELSE WHO IS THINKING THEY MIGHT. There should be laws protecting people from Doctors like him. I asked him to refund some of my money and I never heard from him again. I am seeking legal action.In response Dr Umar’s comments I would say that he is taking a legal position instead of a position in which he actually cares about the patient and his responsibility to provide what was communicated. Another reason why no one should go to this doctor. He is a fraud. I promise you.

I have done a lot of research on hair transplant. My first experience was with a very well known group of medical professionals. In the end I was disappointed. Then I found Dr. Umar. After learning about him and his methods, I believed I found the right doctor. He is highly accredited in the medical profession. Not only did he repair the scar left from the previous procedure, the growth Im experiencing in just four and a half months since my procedure is amazing. If you are contemplating where to have your procedure done, save yourself a lot of time and hassle and get it done right the first time with Dr. Umar and his professional medical staff. I cant thank him enough for what he has done for me.

I have been going to Dr U since May to remove the acne keloidalis nuchae on the back of my head. From day one, he has treated my condition with utmost attention. His staff are nice bunch of people and I always feel welcomed whenever I have an appointment.I have been back there to meet him a few more times for follow-ups, Dr U is making sure my AKN is completely gone for good. Hello, I would like to recommend DR. U to everyone out there who are struggling to find a specialist when it comes to needing something removed because you cannot be identify he could be the one able to help.Here is a brief background about myself and why I went to see DR. U. I went to two other specialists that deal with special cases because I had something that was growing on my skin and was on top of my head. It was some sort of an infection that was destroying my hair Filicales and my skin at the same time but none of the other Drs who I saw prior did not know what was wrong in my case. All the medication they prescribed to me did not help at all. Then DR. U saw it and he knew what was wrong just by looking at my head but of course we had to do a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis and he was right. It has been about 6 months now since the treatment and Im do well. The infection is gone but still in the treatment and recovery phase. I would recommend him to all of you.

Please notify if you had irreversible damage with this doctor like I did .He ruined my tear film and I am doomed with Dry eye disease forever. He wouldnt even have courtesy to cover the highly expensive medications I have to use on daily basis now till the rest of my life. He also performed laser vein removal on my legs that werent successful either and left me scars but at least those were superficial unlike my eyes that are not dry and veiny and red eyes that sting the whole time and the medications that are over $800 a month. He changed his location and company name but still I wont let that go since I have to deal with it everyday now and will worsen by time. Please contact me if you had a damage caused by this doctor as well. I reported to medical board.Adding to the Dr response : The small claim I filed against him was to cover the expensive meds that I am using that are worth 1400 a month. He walks in late with his lawyer, though I had asked not to be seen by temporary judge rather a real judge. My right was waived since the doctor walked in late. So it was a set up, they claimed there wasnt enough medical evidence, and I had my ophthalmologist not stating that my dry eye disease was caused due to v-beam treatment. His answer to the judge was that I have passed the statue of limitation. I would have sued him if I had enough money to cover lawyer fees as he does to get away with such malpractices.even if he tries to respond and deny it I have all the paperwork that proves it Ive all my documentation and correspondence from their previous location under a different name!

I went to Dr. U yesterday to have DPNs removed from my face, the Staff treated me so nice and everyone is very friendly, Sabrina was so Nice the first day I called to make an appointment, by her being so Nice and respectful to the Customers I decided to choose Dr. U to help me, before I called Dr. Us office I called another office, the receptionist was very Rude and Lazy. When I called Dr. Us office Sabrina was so Nice and Pleasant, thats why I chose Dr. Us office. Hudaifa is a Sweetheart, she helped me through out the time I was there, she went over and above in everything that needed to be done, she was Awesome, Hudaifa Thank you again. Dr. U is a Nice Doctor, he listened to my concerns about the Procedure I was going to have, he did an Awesome Job removing the DPNs, I am Satisfied with Dr. U. Ill be back in six weeks for a follow up visit. I strongly recommend Dr. U. If you need DPN removal Dr. U is the Doctor to see.

Man O Man....so I had an appointment today at 4:00p for a consultation, which cost $125. I got there 12 min early to fill out forms and whatnot. Unfortunately, I waited an hour until I finally left. Whats the point of an appointment, then? They really need to work on time management here. Also, be prepared to fill out a lot of paperwork. I understand the need to gather information, but this should be available before the appointment. Lastly, the ladies there said they needed to take photos to track progress. I was not comfortable taking pictures yet because I wasnt there to start a treatment or anything like that. I was just there for a consult to see what the issue is and to possibly discuss treatments. But they said that photos are mandatory. So then I said ok, but I wanted to fill out a photo non-disclosure form, which shouldve been included within the stack of forms I filled out because there are photos all over of people, even outside the building. The lady said she needed to ask another lady for it. Anyways, I never got the form, and it was already 5:00p, and I just asked for a refund and left. Coincidentally, the credit card system was down, and she couldn’t process a refund. Luckily for them, they had cash, so they refunded with cash. Everything happens for a reason, and I guess for some reason, it just wasnt meant to be.

5-Star Experience at a 5-Star Facility... starting from the receptionist Amy who has been with Dr.U from the beginning... she was polite, efficient, nice, not in a rush, and super helpful especially bc of Covid from the time we talked on the phone to make the appt to the time we walked out after our appt! Dr. U was extremely knowledgeable... not only did he help me with what I went in there for, I left being assisted with 2 other things I had questions about. A bonus visit! He has fabulous “bed-side manor” and really listens to his patients. He knew exactly what I needed and got the job done professionally, timely & with care executing top-notch safety protocols from start to finish! His new facility is spotless, super clean, organized, spacious, welcoming and updated with state-of-the-art technology. Dr. U and his staff really took care of me so much so that I have already booked my second appointment with them & cant wait to go back again!!! I found Dr Umar through researching options to treat AKN. Took a long time to finally go through with the surgery but Im happy I did. I had AKN for close to 18 years and its nice to being back to normal again. I do have some scars below the hairline from the tension sutures but glad the rest of the symptoms are gone. I want to reiterate what Odyssseus Schwarzinger mentioned in his review regarding the FUE transplant. I would caution anyone considering going to this facility, especially African American men experiencing hair loss. I was recommended to Dr. Umar because he had a process specifically for African American hair. I paid around 11K to restore my hairline and he went beyond my hairline as a preventative measure. Two years later not only is my hair line worse than prior to the procedure but there are also bumps in which he mentioned would go away after a year. Once that didnt happen he said it would take up to 2 years. They are still here and the second opinion I got from another Hair Transplants specialist indicated that the bumps were cobblestones which is a result of a botched procedure and would never go away. This was perhaps the worse financial decision Ive made. If youre considering going to Dr. Umar for FUE transplants I would highly recommend that you dont do it, save your money and find someone else.

Dr Umar is very capable in executing quality transplants. Besides, he has good intuition of how the hair will look after growth and of how to make it look as natural and useful as possible. He us probably one of the best names in tackling challenging cases like extensive crown areas or performing consistent follow up after previous procedures.Although he doesnt talk much, and dedicates a lot of time to execute the work at high medical standards, together with his professional team. Actually I didnt have the need to discuss much with him beyond first consultation, I just felt he knows what he is doing and is genuinely interested in delivering best results.The fees are reasonable for the quality of care and results. If you do not live in the Los Angeles area, I strongly do not recommend to make a booking as this doctor will schedule you and flake two weeks prior to the appointment which has happened to me twice, even though the appointment was booked months ahead.I lost over $700 from booking flights and accommodation, as I reside in Canada. They did offer to apply it to my surgery, just to cancel again the 2nd go round and asking me to reschedule again, as if I’m a local and can just come to Los Angeles anytime I please.Not only does he cancel but he puts his assistants on the front line to take the heat after cancelling which is unprofessional.The last thing that led me to make this review was after having a phone conversation with him, I just sensed zero remorse and care. I specifically asked him, if these cancellations were random and that if I were to book again, that it wouldn’t happen and the way he responded let me know that there’s more chances of cancellations happening, as if that’s part of his business model.The worst part was that he specifically said that “he operates in good faith” which was beyond disrespectful after cancelling twice and making me lose money on top of that. Shout out to his assistant Ammie for being professional and kind. But for anyone out of town, I strongly do not recommend booking with him, it’s just unprofessional to say the least.

Recently visited Dr.Umars office for an operation of nearly 7500 grafts, the donor area was half beard donor hair and half hair from the back of my scalp. Dr.Umar and his staff was very competent and efficient throughout the entire operation and took care of all of my needs, before, during and after the operation. The entire operation lasted nearly a week but i am very happy with the results thus far and look to make a follow up review in the coming months.

In my experience as the patient of Dr U, I believe strongly that he is one of the most knowledgeable Dermatologist in the country. His vast knowledge of hair restoration is outstanding. My family members have chosen Dr U as their doctor of choice.My wife has resolved her leg veins issues by visiting Dr U. The previous procedure that was performed by one of the known Beverly Hills doctor was disaster.Dr U repaired all the previous damage and the result is great.Dr U hair restoration technique is unique. My experience with Dr. Umar which consisted of a FUE hair transplant (utilizing my nape, beard and chest hair = 3,622 grafts in total) was extremely satisfying. I came from New Jersey to specifically have Dr. Umar perform my surgery. I have had four hair transplants over the past 15 years. However, Dr. Umar offers a service that utilizes hair from the entire body. Dr. Umar as well as his staff delivered an exceptional hair transplant surgery in the allocated time of three days. I healed without developing an infection and that is key. My surgery was performed in June 2017. The patient coordinator along with his surgical team were very helpful with pre-op and post-op process. I can not say enough about how well I was treated. Dr. Umar is all business and that is what I respect about him as a healthcare professional. His team performed like a well oiled machine with each member performing their role seamlessly. Dr. Umar is a very professional surgeon. He restored my hairline and covered a scar from my previous strip surgery. Now i can actually wear a short buzz cut. Theres a wait line and it takes a month to book an appointment since hes very busy, but his prices are actually lower than what some surgeons charge you for using only your head hair and not body hair. Dr. Umar is definitely an artist. He knows how to create a natural looking hairline. In fact, my new hairdresser doesnt even have a clue that I underwent my surgery a year ago. I highly recommend him.

I reckommend that you stay well clear of DR. UThe only thing this clinic is good at is advertismenet and promoting itself.Having undergone a FUE procedure I can clearly say that this clinic should be avoided at all cost. Most of the surgery is preformed by assistants. Almost none of the Hair grew and actually previous existing hair has been destroyed. My hair ended up looking much worse after the procedure. I basically paid over 20.000usd and my hair ended up looking much worse than pre op.I had to get repair surgery from another surgeon after, and this surgeon also confirmed that DR. U had many patients with very poor results.Let my case be a warning for anybody who is considdering to spend their hard earned money with DR. U!!!!

I was struggling with major hair loss that came out of nowhere and I went to Dr. U and he gave me his hair lotion and vitamins and in a couple of months my hair was luscious, thick and long again. I couldnt believe how fast it worked! Definitely would recommend him to anyone struggling with hair loss. Also, I usually go to another doctor for my Botox, but after going to Dr. Umar, I finally got the youthful result that I was looking for. I couldnt believe I actually saw real results in comparison to other Botox sessions with other doctors. Dr. U is the best, you shouldnt go anywhere else.

I was very pleased with the results of the Spectra treatments that I received for discoloration on my skin from Dr. Umar in 2016. I had tried all kinds of creams over the counter and nothing worked for me. The Spectra treatment was the only treatment to deliver results, and thats mostly due to the attention to detail and skill of Dr. Umar. He always asks you what YOU want and he does his best to deliver. The staff is very professional and welcoming, especially Ammie who will always do her best to assist you when you have questions or concerns.

My mom is a patient of Dr Umar and has been using his all natural hair product for about a year now. For the first time since she had lost a good majority of her hair she actually has legitimate hair growth. She previously tried multiple hair regrowth products, vitamins, you name it and nothing worked. Not to mention many of the products she tried were chemical based and unsafe. There was many keloids on my scalp for over 5 years. I did every treatment and helped by all the doctors you can think of. All of sudden I saw one of Dr. Umars videos on YouTube dealing with keloids. It caught my attention because he said he can remove keloids permanently when he was showing his patients before and after slides. So I decided to take on the task to help me remove these keloids once and for all. Im glad I went to go see him that day he changed my life forever. Currently on the 5th treatment and my keloids are 95 percent gone, thanks to Dr. Umar. He has really helped me and I know he can help many more! I love Dr. U! My daughter and I have been going to Dr. U for over a decade. We first visited him when my daughter had acne, which he cleared up. Then I started getting my Botox and Dysport treatments with Dr. U and have never been happier! People tell me all the time how I dont look my age (which will remain a secret!) and I send them to Dr. U. Hes an expert at treatments and Ive never been bruised. I will continue to get my Botox/Dysport (depending on my budget that month) from Dr. U; and now I have some skin issues from too much sun exposure in my youth, and he will take care of that too. Came for a laser (which is actually really cheap $250) and left with juviderm injection for my lips. Staff was courteous and very friendly. The most uncomfortable part of the process was numbing injections, Ive numbed my face before, but this time it was painful and uncomfortable. So far Im peeling which is a good sign. So far Im happy with the place.
