Dr. Meier is AMAZING... I had an issue with my back from playing many years of basketball. When I called Dr. Meiers office, I was able to get an appointment right away. When I arrived to the office, I was pleasantly greeted by the office staff, any questions I had were answered right away, and I was taken back right when my appointment was supposed to start. Dr. Meier was great in answering all my questions, he made sure to spend time with me and give me information that I could understand. I was very happy to see Dr. Meier and his team. I was comfortable and welcomed with open arms. I would recommend Dr. Meier and his services for anyone looking for an orthopedic/sports medicine doctor. I could not be happier with my experience!

I rarely leave any type of reviews for anything, but Dr. Meier and his staff definitely deserve one, and a positive one. I recommend anyone to Dr. Meier and his excellent staff, that require the services that he provides. Along with being extremely experienced in his field, he does have the classic bed side manner that we are all looking for, and his staff, whether its his coordinator Evelyne or Yessica and Jacky, they will always make you feel at home and will try and accommodate our busy schedules and particular tastes. Do not hesitate is what Im trying to say here folks.

Dr. Steven Meier office team is exceptionaly friendly and welcoming, I have been to many other surgery doctors offices and they have not been as helpful and friendly as they are at Dr. Meiers office. Evelyn is the best!! She has helped me get my appointments and set my surgery up and now on recovery she has been an asset on getting my physical therapy in place. They are a wonderful team and treat you like family. Dr. Meier has been such a great doctor explaining everything from step one and very knowledgeable and friendly. Im writing this review on behalf of my entire family to thank Dr. Meier for his wonderful care and meticulous attention in treating my dads shoulder injury. My dad is approximately three months post-op and we are all very happy with the results. My dad, Ab Ahmadpour, had sustained a shoulder injury that negatively affected all facets of his life. He had severe pain issues, difficulty sleeping, and could not participate in the regular activities that he used to enjoy. Dr. Meier handled my dads case with sincerity, compassion, and unmatched skill from day one. My dad came home from his initial consultation with great confidence that he would be in good hands with Dr. Meier; dads intuition was spot on! Dr. Meier was patient, kind, confident, attentive, and very knowledgeable in regards to my dads concerns and needs. He performed an excellent surgery and his staff was amazing from beginning to end. My dad is back to his regular activities and able to get a good nights sleep because of Dr. Meiers help. I cant recommend and thank Dr. Meier enough for all that he has done!

I was referred to Dr. Meier by a friend after I tore my ACL skiing. I am a runner and marathoner and several doctors told me I would never be the same again. Dr. Meier not only made me feel like I would be able to have my life back, but he took the time to answer all the questions I had. The team he works with is incredible, everyone is so kind and thoughtful, especially Evelyn. Dr. Meier did my ACL surgery in June 2018 and one year later I am back on my feet running and feeling like I can be myself again. I cant imagine a better experience and I am so thankful to have found Dr. Meier and his team during such a difficult time in injury. I would recommend him to anyone I know, especially athletes.

After being rear ended (again) and more damage to my neck, I went to see dr Meier. I’ve tried chiropractic care, physical therapy, steroid injections and pain relievers. Dr Meier’s treatment of me, using injections of glucose and lidocaine, seemed like something worth trying- but I was skeptical. However, after just a few treatments, I began to feel so much better. Now, after five injections (standard course) I’m nearly pain free. To have so much improvement without surgery, without narcotics, without damaging liver etc (like the steroids can do) is amazing.Dr Meier and his care team of professionals all work together competently and compassionately. I recommend him highly!

I was recommended Dr. Meier by a friend after I hyper-extended and tore the ACL in my left knee. My experience with Dr. Meier and his office was fantastic. They were, and continue to be helpful and professional.Of course I was devastated that I had incurred a serious injury; so I was initially in some denial that I was hurt. It took me a while to even schedule the appointment, hoping that I would have a miraculous recovery. My knee was still unstable after weeks, so I called and set up an appointment.Dr. Meier and his staff are completely professional. They worked around my schedule to get me in for a diagnostic. They have a very nice office just south of the Beverly Center.After the MRI came back definitive that I had torn my ACL, Dr. Meier walked me through all the options regarding surgery. He patiently answered my million questions, and was very calm and realistic with me. The office team set up a surgery date that fit with my work schedule, and helped me through the pre-surgery process.Dr. Meier met me after I had been prepared for surgery and walked me through the process again. My fiancee and I were pretty anxious, but he did so much to make us feel at ease. Once I woke up, the nurse told me that everything had gone well.In the four months since my procedure, Dr. Meier and his team have diligently checked up on my rehabilitation progress. They recommended great a physical therapy group near my house as well. I am doing my exercises regularly, and my recovery has been on schedule. Im confident that Ill be back to 100% soon!

I was in excruciating pain due to a sudden back Injury I had. I called Dr. Meiers office and spoke with Evelyn the office manager who quickly scheduled an appointment for me to meet with Dr. Meier. Upon my arrival I was greeted and promptly taken back at my appointment time. Dr. Meier is very thorough and detailed oriented. Not once did I feel rushed and Dr. Meier answered all my questions. I highly recommend Steven, him and his staff are very friendly & helpful with everything I needed to know & needed. For 2 years I had a shoulder injury that no doctor could detect until i came to Steven & he found the problem within the first time of meeting him. They’re open to plenty of options & make sure whatever is convenient & comfortable with you, they are very honest with everything that will benefit the patient. I received stem cell injections on my right hip back in early March, 2018 from Dr. Meier. The results thus far have been very good - I have less pain and much better mobility. Dr. Meier and his staff are true professionals and have been great at setting expectations for the potential results of the stem cell process, making sure all my questions were answered in detail both before and after the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Meier to anyone looking for alternatives to a hip replacement.

Bravo Dr. Steven Meier!! I am 57 years old and 1st injured my knee in high school. A simple meniscus tear turned into staph infection and, subsequently, years of pain. Ive had 10+ surgeries to clean out the chipped bones and in my early 30s I needed a knee replacement. We all know thats far too young so you suffer through the pain and get shots (really anything) to ease the pain.I moved from Philadelphia to Los Angeles almost a year ago. Things got so bad I couldnt even go food shopping without my knee buckling. They say, everything happens for a reason and if I hadnt moved to L.A. I would have never met Dr. Meier and his staff. The level of knowledge he and his staff possess is unbelievable. This, along with his kindness and compassion, places him head and shoulders above all others orthopedics I have worked with.Dr. Meier performed a robotic assisted, full knee replacement on my right leg at Marina Del Rey Hospital. The nurses and staff in the wing where I spent the night were amazing. And yes, I only spent ONE night! I had my surgery and was up walking (walker assisted) the same night. I was discharged the following afternoon!!Some people say, You were just lucky. Yes I was lucky....to be in L.A. at the right time and especially lucky to have found Dr. Steven Meier & his staff at Meier Orthopedic Sports Medicine. I would like to give a special thanks to Evelyn Cao, Practice Manager. Her attention to the details of my recovery are unheard of. I was able to email her day, night or weekend and received her personal response on how to manage my situation. If Dr. Meier needed to be involved she would contact him immediately.

Over the years, between sports injuries, car wrecks, and biking accidents, I’ve worked with a number of the top orthopedic surgeons and sports specialists in the country. Dr. Meier and his team are at the top. They did a thorough exam from top to bottom, all measurements. The prolotherapy treatments were very strategically done to improve healing without me having too much down time. I owe a lot of my improvement to Dr. Meier!

This guy is an imposter. He and his staff particularly Evelyn Cao-his practice manager- use deceptive marketing strategies to allure patients to buy their Mesenchymal stem cell therapy while falsely claiming their therapy is approved by the FDA and is 100% effective and safe. I do not recommend this physician to any patient. Move on and find a better orthopedic surgeon who doesn’t deceive his patients nor condones deceptive behavior by his staff…

I had a fall, and when I fell I hit a table causing damage to the Ulnar Nerve in my left elbow and had a surgery but the surgery did not work, I still had constant tingling in my arm like the tingling you get when your leg goes to slept. After being referred to Dr. Steven Meier he did a sonogram on my elbow and found that the nerve was out of its groove and rubbing back and forth over the bone which caused irritation and the constant tingling. I had my second surgery in which Doctor Meier cut the muscle and moved the Ulnar Nerve under the muscle and then stitched it back up. IMMEDIATELY I felt a difference it was like night and day and I felt major relief within weeks. I would highly recommend Doctor Meier, and his staff are amazing!

Had a severe torn rotary cup over a year ago, when I was referd toDr. Meier (a talented orthopedic specialist) .The first office visit, I knew this doctor was going to operate on my left shoulder. He saw the MRI images on how severe it was torn, then explain to me in laymens term. In full detail and understandable which gave me the confidence in him. To this day I have 95% movement in all directionsI also started back to working out (of coarse still remembering its only been a year). bty I just turned 59 Sep26Why I also would definitely use & recommend Dr. Meier again if Id in counter an other surgery like this.Is his office staff, all the months that Id have follow up visits I was always treated great,, even when I was running late (L.A. traffic). They understood and made things happen...Kudos to the whole staff.

When I ripped a full thickness tear in my supraspinatus, I knew only rotator cuff surgery would allow me freedom from pain and resumed use of my shoulder and arm. I talked to two respected ortho surgeons who administer groups with which I contract, and they both said they would have it done by Steve Meier. One was a shoulder specialist who just retired from active practice.I have followed many injured employees for whom we provide contracted medical care struggle with this type of surgery and the difficult rehab that follows. I knew it would not be easy. I even put it off for nearly three months.Steve is in our network, and my review nurses had only positive things to say about him. So, I had the surgery last August.I cant say enough about Dr. Meiers office and the LaPeer Surgery Center. Evelyn runs the office and takes care of patients as well as anyone I have ever seen Steve and the PAs are very professional and the office and appointments run like clockwork.I recently had my last post-op visit, and I just finished four difficult months of PT. My shoulder is already probably 90% back with regards to range of motion and strength.Not requiring medical care is by far the best, but when you need some orthopedic expertise, I highly recommend Meier Orthopedic Sports Medicine.

Dr. Meier is a top surgeon in the sports medicine field. This was particularly important to me because I was originally told by others that i needed a full knee replacement because I had too much damage from my accident and tendon repair has a low percentage of success.So, I set out to find a sport medicine surgeon for a second opinion and got lucky to find Dr. Meier. He did the mcl tendon repair and I traded in my crutches for some good physical therapy. I can walk normally again and Im pretty active to boot. Dr. Meier has a lot of state-of-the-art tools in his bag, and some new techniques as well. Youll be well-advised to pay him a visit.

In the summer of 2016, after a trip requiring a lot of walking, I was experiencing excruciating pain in both of my knees. I could not get up from the couch or walk without extreme pain. I was fearful of knee surgeries to be the solution, so I went on the Internet to find answers. I learned that Dr. Steven W. Meier, an orthopedic surgeon by training, has found a treatment, used in Europe for many years to help patients to avoid or at least delay surgeries for years. High paying professional athletes from the United States had long sought this treatment in Europe, got their pain relief and had been able to return to their lucrative professional sports career. Dr. Meier gave me hyaluronic acid shots, one to each knee. After three shots to each knee over a three week period, I was pain free. To the best of my understanding, the cartilages in both of my knees were worn out due to age and lack of collagen. With excessive walking the knee bones were rubbing against each other, causing severe pain. In extreme circumstances, Dr. Meier could recommend spinning your own blood into a plasma and shoot it back into your knees which would help your recovery faster. Dr. Meier offers stem cell treatment for those patients who need it.In the past 18 months, I have received three sets of treatment, 6 months between each set of five shots to each knee. Dr. Steven Meier and his team guided me into my choice with a professional and empathetic touch. They worked quickly to set up my preop appointment and scheduled my epidural with ease. His team made me feel so comfortable and ready to tackle the it. Postop my relief was instant. I had to get surgery on my herniated disc, Dr. Steven Meier recommended Dr. Hooman Melamed. I’m so glad he did, because Dr. Melamed was perfection. Now I’m almost capable of moving like I was prior to surgery and this is only one and a half months out.Dr. Steven Meier and Dr.Hooman Melamed don’t believe in using opiates so all of the pharmaceutical drugs that I was put on I am now clean of. It was really easy for me to stop using them because of what I was prescribed and the style of Dr. Steven Meier and Dr.Melameds procedures. I feel like a new person of thanks to them and their staff. Needless to say I highly recommend them.

Hands down the best doctors office I have ever been to!!! I was dreading my WC case and have seen alot of doctors, but to have found this place has been a GODs send. Let me start by saying that the front office, Shaye and Andrew are AWESOME!! They are so welcoming and work hard in making the patients feel comfortable. They greet you with a smile and offer coffee, tea, or water. Secondly, the office is filled with a great magazine collection, but you rarely have to wait to see the doctor. Dr. Z is AMAZING!! She answers all of my questions directly, through emails or telephone conversations. She is also an excellent advocate for her patients. Dr. Meires energy is CALM and Inviting.
