Dr. Shamsaee is wonderful! She took her time in educating me about the anatomy of the eye and how some medical conditions can affect the eye. Dr. Shamar also let me know what to expect when transitioning to progressive lenses as this will be my first time wearing them. She made sure all my questions were answered before I left. I highly recommend her for your vision services.

Dr Nguyen and Alejandro were fantastic and such a pleasure to work with today. Dr Nguyen always take her time and answers all my questions. She is very patient and explains things clearly. I appreciate her sense of humor and friendly nature. Alejandro made picking frames a breeze. He is so knowledgeable and really explained all my options. Knowing I was trying progressives for the first time, he made sure to take the time needed to make sure I was comfortable with them.

I met Dr. Shamsaee due to a vision emergency while traveling through the San Diego area. I haven’t had an eye exam in almost 5 years and this was the most thorough exam I had since I was a kid. She addressed a problem that I had with previous providers and doubled check to ensure her findings were correct. I can appreciate her exhausting every option, most providers don’t have the same level of patience or determination.

Overall great experience. I came in not really knowing if my insurance covered my appointment. And the lady in front was nice enough to thoroughly check it for me. Then I met with Dr. Linda Lin. I was not seen by Dr. Shamsaee, so I have no idea what sort of professional she may be. This review is for Dr. Tram Nguyen and for the Registered Optician, whose name is Rod, both of whom work within the same office.Dr. Nguyen was patient (especially since I tend to ask many questions!), thorough and approached the exam with a very pleasant demeanor. She was extremely professional and kind across all dimensions of my experience. I havent yet received my new glasses, so I cannot comment on the ultimate outcome of the product I receive, but the exam component of my experience was fine.Rod was really great too. He was very helpful, patient and friendly. I came in to the exam with my current pair of glasses, which lacked one of the screws that fastens a temple to a hinged (held by a thin wire instead), and Rod promptly replaced the screw for me for no charge.Based on my experience with these specific personnel, I can highly recommend this optical center. As long as the glasses I ordered work well to correct my vision, then Ill have no need to revise that recommendation.

The Dr. Was amazing. He explained everything in simple terms where I was able to understand.The vision test with the Dr. was fast but he somehow still managed to take his time and get everything right. He asked if I had any questions and was very detailed when he answered my questions. The front Desk girl named Hope that helped me was so nice and kind. She gave me her honest opinion of which frames looked better. She was very easy to talk to and funny. A thousand percent I would come back and purchase another pair of glasses especially if the rest of the staff is anything like the Dr. And Hope. Five stars. I will definitely be recommending people to come to Target Optical. Great selection of frames to choose from.

I had a wonderful experience! Rod was incredibly friendly and helpful. He spent the time to explain the measurements on the eye glasses, different types of frames and what might look best on my face, and even did a price comparison for a couple different frames I was looking at without me having to ask. His service was above and beyond and it showed how much he truly enjoys what he does.The Optometrist (by the last name Lin) was equally friendly, nice, and informative.Overall I had a great experience and I would definitely recommend to others. I’ll be back to buy frames in the future!

I was excited to be able to get an exam on my break from work, since they are located two stores away from my place of employment. My original appointment was canceled due to Dr emergency, but was put on a cancelation wait list. I was happy I was able to get in within a day. Dr. was thorough and professional. But today on my second visit, I had my eyes dilated and on my way to the car, I have completely closed my eyes and hang on to my wife...it was too bright...All places or doctors I went my eyes dilated they gave me a dark plastic glasses clipped to my prescription glasses. I wish I had one...the only bad setback of the excellent service you did.

To be honest, I didnt really know what to expect from Target Optical, since Ive pretty much only ever gotten my eyes checked with my Optometrist at Sharp. My regular Optometrist was booked until March, and I needed an appointment quickly to utilize my insurance benefits before years end. Making an appointment through Target Optical was fast, easy, and online! Dr. Shamsaee was great and was genuinely concerned about my comfort and getting the proper prescription for my eyes. I also thought they had a nice selection of glasses, friendly staff, and the office/optical store was very chic and stylish. I am a repeat patient, and this is my 3rd exam here. Dr. Shamsaee was on leave but Dr. Matsuura took over exam duties. The office is well kept and inviting. The exam is straightforward the equipment used in the exam is more modern compared to other offices ive been to. The staff was very accommodating with me especially since I had to move my exam date because of Dr. Shamsaees leave, and even called me to offer a sooner appointment when another patient canceled. Despite the office running a little late on appointments, the entire exam took less than 20 minutes (Doctor did not deem pupil dilation necessary for the exam at the time). Very satisfied with the level of service offered at this office.
