Dr Michelle Nguyen is AMAZING. She is incredibly thorough, takes time to listen, and provides great care. She is super responsive if you have any follow-up questions. I felt in such care with her during my surgery and I cant thank her enough for her professionalism and expertise. She helps to work towards getting to the bottom of any health concern you have. Thank you, Dr Nguyen! Only piece of feedback is that her office is impossible to reach via phone, so you will always have to access via the portal (which hopefully you arent a new patient trying to get ahold of the front desk).

Dr. Nguyen was wonderful. The office was clean and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Dr. Nguyen listened to my concerns and provided numerous solutions. She assured me that we would partner to figure out my health complaints. I waited to get in and I traveled a great distance to come see her in person and would do it again without hesitation.

I started developing GI issues a few years ago and it’s remained undiagnosed. I communicated this to my primary care provider in Fresno where I currently reside. He referred me to a local GI specialist and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. So I decided to start looking for options outside of Fresno and found Dr. Nguyen. She received a lot of good reviews, so I decided to schedule an appt with her. This was the best decision I’ve ever made. She’s fantastic! She’s kind, caring, very knowledgeable, and thorough. I really appreciate her conservative approach and the time she puts into responding to my messages through the online portal as well as in person. She always communicates my lab results to me as soon as she receives them. The staff members and assistants are amazing as well. Always very helpful and kind. I know it’s a little bit of a drive for me, but it’s worth it. She really is as good as everyone says she is and I’m lucky to have found her!

Dr. Nguyen is such a joy to work with from meeting her until I was done with my procedure. She walked me through exactly what she was planning to do and was careful to answer any questions that I had. The entire team and staff were all extremely friendly, caring and fun. Dr. Nguyen is extremely knowledgeable, patient and promptly answers my questions through patient portal all the time. I started to have some weird chronicle GI illness 1.5 years ago which later was diagnosed something that has no cure yet. Dr. Nguyen did not give up on me. She worked closely with my primary physician to come up with customized treatments to help improve my daily life quality. In the meantime, she also looked for more ways to diagnose my conditions. At one point I had to take 12 weeks medical leave from my work. Dr. Nguyen and her office staff also helped dealing with a 3rd party company to complete my application and process all required documents. I really appreciate their patience and professionalism. Highly recommended!

I couldn’t believe I had to wait 2 months to see Dr. Nguyen and you know what, she was worth the wait. Dr. Nguyen was so nice, incredibly knowledgeable, showed me how things work, or don’t work, what could be the problem and the tests we should and will do. I’ve lived with stomach problems my entire life and I finally feel hopeful for a better life. Btw, all the office staff were wonderful and very professional. I now understand why there was a 2 month wait to get in to see Dr. Nguyen.

Dr. Nguyen is a blessing in my life. She has such care and warmth for her patients and treats me as if I am family. I have been struggling with a bad SIBO case but she has never wavered in her support for me on my health journey. She explains things, is very patient during meetings, and always willing to answer my countless questions. She also truly listens to my input about what I am comfortable with in terms of medications / tests, which is quite rare now with doctors. She expressed true concern for me. When her schedule was packed until September for a diagnostic follow up, she had her assistant squeeze me in within one week of my June 22 initial appointment with her because she felt my issues were urgent and should be taken care of ASAP.Dr. Nguyen is truly a very good and caring doctor and person. I have had two colonoscopies somewhere else and not once did the doctor - “surgeon” - at Adventist address my main issue I was seeing him for. During my initial consultation meeting, she was very generous with her time: in addition to a clear explanation of what colonoscopy is and what to expect before, during and after a colonoscopy, she was able to help me understand something that has puzzled me for many years. I didnt realize until afterwards that I used some of her lunch time, but she didnt rush me at all. I could feel that she really cares about me and my health. The colonoscopy today went smoothly, just as she promised. Dr. Nguyens smiles and confidence greatly eased my nervousness before the procedure. I feel very lucky to have her as my doctor. I went to see Dr. Nguyen for my colonoscopyConsultation for the first time. She explained to me the different grades of polyps with pictures on the website and what occurs with each type. Dr. Nguyen also told me she does not use blue dye like my prior doctor to see the polyps. She uses a bright laser light. BTW, she listens and communicates well!I also would like to commend Dr.Nguyen’s staff. They are very friendly, accommodating and thorough.

Right from the beginning it was a good experience, I was greeted warmly and given my forms by Kim to fill out. Shortly after that I was taken to the exam room and Twan(not sure I got his name right) took my vitals and asked routine questions. He was friendly and kind and then said Dr. Nguyen would be in shortly. What kind and engaging woman, so made me feel cared for and was so understanding. She was uplifting and thoughtful, I felt like I’d made a friend. All the procedures were clearly explained. This made the whole experience a pleasant which isn’t always the case when getting a colonoscopy. Staff was also friendly and helped me get everything i needed. I seemed a little nervous and both Dr. Nguyen and the staff checked on me and went through al other details to make sure i was okay and clear on the process. I scheduled my Follow ups with ease and was told who Id be seeing, why and what to expect every step of the way. Also love that they send text confirmations of your appointment so you can’t forget. Overall super helpful and couldn’t have asked for better when I’ve never had to see a specialist, especially with no referral.

I had several visits with Dr. Nguyen in 2015 for some...er...unpleasantness I was experiencing. She was wonderful! Very kind and understanding. These types of appointments can make a person feel self-conscious and vulnerable, but she was thoughtful and compassionate. I even had to bring my toddler with me to one of my appointments because I couldnt secure childcare and it was no problem! I wish I still lived nearby so I could keep her as my doctor. Its so hard to find great doctors who never make you feel judged or otherwise uncomfortable (especially if youre a woman). Dr. Nguyen is a keeper!

My wife and I decided to get colonoscopies at different doctors this year to compare experiences so that next time wed pick the better one. Well, she got hers at inSite with Dr. Nguyen and she got the better experience. Both our doctors were competent and everything went through without complications. However, Dr. Nguyen spent far more time with my wife during initial consultation visit and during the prep regimen. Her staff also correctly billed the consultation visit with the proper preventative code (S0285) so even though it was $40 more than my doctor, it was covered in full by my insurance, whereas my doctor insisted on billing mines as a general office visit and so it cost me $120 out-of-pocket.The surgery center where Dr. Nguyen did the procedure had older exterior and reception area, but inside was all up-to-date and staff was equally friendly. Insurance negotiated facility charge was $300 higher, but it was covered as a preventative. Anesthesia charge was the same -- the anesthesiologists each made almost 2x more than the doctors doing the colonoscopy!So, more quality time spent with patient, same competency, proper billing of preventative visit, makes Dr. Nguyen the winner for my wifes next colonoscopy ...and mine!

Office in Los Gatos is easy to find, parking can be an issue with this location but it does have underground parking. The office is clean and the staff is very helpful. Dr. Nguyen took the extra time to delve deeper to see if there were other contributing factors to my abdominal distress. I have been suffering from intestinal issues for most of my life and after several doctors, including other Gastro doctors, I had no answers and felt dismissed and dejected. I found Dr. Nguyen after much research for a GI specialist and the effort was well worth it. She is an excellent listener and explains things very clearly so you understand what exactly is going on. After suffering from IBS and self-managing it for 10-15 years, I finally went to her and she has helped me in very short order create a plan and feel like a normal human again, which i had forgotten. There’s not enough words to express how grateful I am to have Dr. Michelle Nguyen in my life. I went to a doctor a year before I saw Dr. Nguyen and he prescribed me PPIs for my heartburn and told me to take them forever and that was it. A year later, my tummy was getting worse and I spent a long time researching what doctor would be a good fit for me. Thankfully I found Dr. Nguyen! My visits have been virtual, but I’m also very fearful of the pandemic and they were very understanding. She has never been late to a call either!It has been a journey with her, but a very pleasant one. A year after seeing her, I hardly have any heartburn and I am no longer on PPIs! I am currently being treated for SIBO and the antibiotics did not work, but she prescribed me a more natural route and it’s been working! She will also back up everything she is informing you with medical journals and she is more than willing to send them to you if it interests you. I also asked for tests that she didn’t offer and she was happy to provide them to me. If you always wished your big sister was a doctor, Dr. Nyugen is that person for you. She once even told me, “If you were my sister, I would tell you not to do it.”On top of being my gastroenterologist, she also helped me during a time where I could not get my PCP to help me understand some blood work I received. I reached out to Dr. Nguyen for some guidance on what specialist I should reach out to and if she had any referrals. This had nothing to do with my stomach, but I knew Dr. Nguyen cared about me and I trusted her. She messaged me in less than an hour with what specialist I would need to see and referrals to both the specialist and a new PCP. She didn’t have to do that, but she did because she cares!!!!! I was so relieved that someone was willing to help me when I felt so lost trying to navigate the medical system.I can’t say enough about Dr. Nguyen and how much she means to me. Without her there would have been many times where I would have been crying and left alone to feel helpless and confused. She is so much more than a doctor and I promise you will feel the same too.

I had some significant intestinal issues that went unresolved for several years before I saw Dr. Nguyen. The previous doctors I had seen said there was nothing to be done but when I turned to her, she came up with ideas and a plan for changing my diet. Its been over four years since we instituted the plan and it has been working great. I really appreciated her taking the time to figure out what was wrong and come up with a solution. She listens well. Recently, she performed a regular scheduled colonoscopy which turned out to be the least uncomfortable prep Ive ever had and a very smooth procedure.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Nguyen after my rare and severe DRESS (Drug Reaction with Eosinophilia & Systemic Symptoms) Syndrome diagnosis in August 2018. DRESS is an adverse reaction to a medication and an auto-immune injury that compromises and damages organs. My skin, nervous system, liver, pancreas, thyroid, and immune system were compromised. Ive have experienced chronic migraine with light/sound/smell sensitivity, nausea & vomiting, and orthostatic intolerance where I faint multiple times a day. Due to the severe nausea and vomiting, I was losing a lot of weight and my neurologist recommended that I see a gastroenterologist for further testing. I completed two outpatient procedures with Dr. Nguyen as well. Ill never forget the compassion and kindness that Dr. Nguyen showed me within minutes of meeting and during each procedure. Truly the best bedside manner Ive ever experienced and Dr. Nguyens office staff are wonderful. Thank you for everything, Dr. Nguyen! Im truly grateful for your time, support, and expertise! I was experiencing stomach issues for years and all my other gastro doctor did was tell me to take previcid or meds like it. My primary doctor recommended that I switch to Dr. Nguyen. After I met with Dr. Nguyen, she had me take a test for a certain illness which I ended up testing positive. After taking meds she prescibed, my issues went away. I have a background in health care administration, policy and consulting. It became painful to cross over the line to becoming a patient. But i still have my research skills and they have guided me to the best. I recently have had several months of severe gastro issues to where i could not even lie down to sleep. I was fearful I had cancer. I went through a full range of testing and procedures with Dr. Nguyen. Knowing my interest in my own health, actually drew me pictures to digest the many issues. I have moved and she is still there for me. My moves interrupted my testing and will stick with her as far as possible. She also arranged for me to see her friend in the area from when she did liver transplant work in the past. I moved to over three hours way from where i lived. I traveled further north to see her in the past. But this time too far. She is one of the best doctors I have ever had. I encourage all to go the extra mile to insure their best outcomes.

She has been my gastroenterologist for at least ten years now. I have had two unrelated but both serious problems. Dr Nguyen resolved one of them entirely in a methodical way, such that all the pain is gone and full function has returned--the issue is gone from my thoughts! The second one came several years later, and I went back to her and she has been working on my very complicated case methodically again. The last time I went for an appointment, she also told me about the results of research study that was important to me. She does ongoing research on my case, to figure out the best plan of attack. I have a lot of faith in her, from little things like a colonoscopy and medication to major things that require surgery and lifestyle changes. I routinely recommend her to others.
