I was recommended to go see an acupuncturist by my doctor for pain and I was all for it because I had it done before years ago somewhere else out of State which was an amazing experience and it helped me tremendously! I came here based on all the 5 star reviews. Firstly the clinic is clean and clam. After explaining all my pain complaints Dr. Joo was nice and explained all that I needed. The first session went smoothly even the massage was really nice, he explained that I needed to buy his teas in order to help me heal, I truly believe in herbs and remedies as I do them myself, but he kept saying without it I won’t heal as good, I’m sure his teas are good and do help many. But he sells them very expensive which I understand that each patient is different therefore not everyone gets the same herbs in their formula as he explains. The sessions after that the needles kept falling off (I did my best not to move) and it hurt more for days each time. The thing is I felt a bit pressured into buying the tea at everyone session which I cannot afford and even so, I’m allergic to some. It would be a good idea if he were to give or sell small samples of it for a lower price so people could try it and make sure no allergic reactions or so. Don’t get me wrong, he’s nice and very respectful. It’s just that, this place wasn’t for me, I felt no better and no benefit just more sore

My experience with Dr. Joo was great. Under his recommendation, I am taking a herbal tea that has stabilized my mood swings, decreased my menopause belly, gave me more energy, and also improved my sleep. My digestion has also gotten better and I no longer feel bloated. The few hot flashes that I experienced before have stopped.

My brother has been under Dr. Joo’s excellent care for the last three months to relieve the pain that he has been experiencing for the last three years in his neck, left shoulder and his left arm and hand. After seeing many medical doctors with no relief from medications or physical therapy, his neurologist recommended acupuncture treatments. After talking to my brother’s insurance company and doing much research we chose Dr. Joo because of his outstanding patients’ reviews. Upon meeting Dr. Joo for a consultation and assessment of my brother’s symptoms and medical history, treatments began. Even after the very first treatment, my brother’s pain subsided greatly giving him much needed relief. During my brother’s three months of treatments the pain is totally gone. Dr Joo has a very clean and peaceful office. He has been treating me for liver issues due to being overweight for 2 weeks and amazingly I have lost 10 pounds and will continue to receive treatment, the tea is a bit bitter but I dont think about it and just chugg it. I feel lighter, sleeping better and overall happier.I recommend this doctor ten fold!11/10/2023I have now been treated by Dr.Joo for eight weeks and have lost a total of 25 pounds to date. The key is to stick to his meal plant without deviating. I feel rejuvenated and super healthy.Hi, here is my latest update: I went to GI doctor in January and she has realized me from being her patient. She was amazed not only with my appearance but what my blood reports were showing. Cholesterol and liver enzymes are now normal. I have continued to watch my eating and feel so much better. I have a serious neck issue and my pain management doctor recommended me to acupuncture. I feel incredibly lucky that I found Dr. Joo. He is very nice and extremely knowledgeable. He always spends time with me understanding where it hurts and if I have any new issues. Ive been getting acupuncture for about a year, and Ive added cupping for the last 4 months and have felt so much relief. What Dr. Joo has done for my neck pain in one year is 100 times better than what my other doctors have done for me in the past 3 years. Another great thing about Dr. Joo and his practice is you can text to make an appointment and you dont have to wait weeks to get in! I highly recommend Dr. Joo.

I had vertigo for two consecutive months, day and night and was not able to function. I decided to visit Dr. Joo based on all the positive reviews he has. He told me that he was going to help me get rid of the vertigo and also with my allergies (hay fever) that I have suffered for over 30 years and have to take a daily pill. After the 3rd accupunture session and tea treatment, the vertigo went away and to my surprise, I have been able to suspend my allergy medication and have not experienced any itching in my skin. I am extremely thankful for everything Dr. Joo has done for me so far. I keep hoping that none of this ailments will come back. I will recommend Dr. Joo to anyone who is doubtful about accupunture and herbal treatments. Dr. Joo is the best.

I went to see Dr. Joo for help with really bad sciatica. I have been receiving acupuncture for about 6 weeks now, and the improvement is life changing. I started taking the herbal supplements, Dr. Joo prescribed, and I believe they have helped in my recovery. He also recommended that I lose weight and he gave me a diet to follow. I am pleased to say that I have already lost 10 pounds, which has also assisted with my recovery.Dr Joo is very respectful and professional. I would recommend his practice to anyone nervous about trying acupuncture and eastern healing methods. I have had back for as long as I can remember. I have tried medication, chiropractic care, physical therapy and I still had pain and would throw out my back about once a year. Ive been a patient of Dr. Joo for almost 6 months and have seen significant improvement in my chronic symptoms. I have an autoimmune disease that Ive battled with for over 10 years now; I have tried diet changes, lifestyle changes, stress management, Eastern medicine, Western medicine, yoga, turmeric etc. You name it, Ive tried it, multiple times at this point. My symptoms were so bad I had to go on disability multiple times in the last 2 years despite being on Western meds. I decided I would try a combination of Eastern medicine and Western medicine again - enter Dr. Joo.He spent time taking down my health history and current symptoms in great detail. He offered to mix a custom tea specifically made for my symptoms to drink twice daily for a month. I drank the tea and came to see him weekly for acupuncture and sometimes cupping, and each time he asked about my symptoms and gave me advice on my diet and water intake. After I finished the first batch of tea he reviewed all my symptoms again in detail and mixed an updated tea recipe for me based on my progress.His advice and treatments work. Dr.Joo is the best there is when it comes to healing your body through functional medicine and physical therapy Acupunture. His techniques and nerve knowledge is one of the best around the Southeast area. I went to him with pain due to an over usage pinched nerves which Kaiser Doctors called it Carpool tunnel from my neck all the way down to my finger tips. I couldn’t even feel my finger tips on my both hands. I went to his 10 session took his herb medicine and my body began its healing. Most other acupuncture places were closed or couldnt see me. Dr. Joo made room for me the same day, I came in crying with pain on my upper back. He told me it was a pulled trapezius and that it would maybe take 3 sessions to take care of it. I didnt believe it because the pain was so strong...however later after the 1st session, I felt 70% better and was able to sleep. The cuppings helped a great deal too! After my three sessions I was as good as new again! I am very grateful to Dr. Joo and recommend him and his services to anyone in need of relief. Thank you again Dr. Joo!

I went to Dr. Joo because I had skin problem behind my neck for 5 years and no dr or dermatologist was able to help me they would only give me creams that would calm my skin temporarily, also I had irregular periods after I had a baby.Dr. Joo did acupuncture & cupping along with the tea he custom makes for you, Chinese medical herbs. I decided to try acupuncture with Dr. Joo after having chronic neck, shoulder and back pain for the last 2 YEARS. I had tried the chiropractor before but the pain would always come back. After I saw all the reviews for him I decided acupuncture was right for me & I was right! Dr. Joo is patient & listens. He always follows up with me after every visit & asks how Im feeling. I still have 3 visits & although my pain hasnt fully diminished, it hasnt came back as painful. I no longer have chronic pain! And look forward to my last 3 visits. Went in for pain on wrist,ankle,shoulders,back, and headaches. Acupuncture helped me significantly, and is a relaxing self care act. Dr Joo is great. Calm, friendly, reassuring. Each time i come in i let him know how i feel and he addresses it accordingly. i feel better at the end of the sessions! I went to Dr. Joo with migraines, neck pain, upper left back pain, constipation problems and most of the time; I always felt tired (after sleeping over 9-10 hours.) Dr. Joo recommended me some herb teas that he personally makes. I purchased the teas and Im noticing a big difference in my body. My skin is getting better, my constipation has improved, I dont feel as tired and overall I feel so much better than 2 months ago, but of course his acupuncture services have also made a big difference in my body. I love the fact that he takes his time during his procedures and most important he listens to you as a patient. He is the best acupuncturist in town. I highly recommend him as an acupuncturist. Ive had knee pain and inflammation for over a year. The pain was so bad at times that it made it even hard to sleep at night. I couldnt do my much activates, cause of the discomfort 24/7. I was noticing that was making me depress as well.... Dr. took x-rays and couldnt find any damage in the bone or arthritis. Mentioned I had tendinitis. I took therapy and did special exercises, that helped release some pressure and pain at times. But the inflammation was always there. I was tired of always suffering and thought of trying acupuncture as an alternative. Im so glad I did! I started seeing results in about a month. Less pain and inflammation. Its a slow process, but it has been very helpful. I been attending Dr. Joo for about 2 and a half months now. I think Im 85 % better! I can sleep better, I can walk long distance and I started working out with cautiousness. I also took his herbal teas, and feel that was also helpful in the road to recovery. I cant wait to be 100%.

Amazing!I was in a car accident back in November and was suffering from bad bad lower back pain. I was referred to physical therapy but after some time I saw no difference. I was still experiencing lower back pain. PT told me the accident caused a misalignment in my pelvis but didnt treat properly. Anyway! I Finally decided to go back to my doctor and see different options to treat my pain. I was referred to acupuncture and it was the best thing my insurance did for me. I have been seeing doctor j for about 2 months and a 1/2 and it has been the best thing. During our initial consult he took the time to figure out ALL of my medical history, how I felt, where my pain was & made a plan to treat me. He explained that for the next three months the pain would fluctuate but would eventually get much much better. He found underlying causes that have been causing me pain for quite some time. This pain would make me cry during out first sessions as he touched to figure out where it was coming from. As time has progressed I am so pleased to say that I no longer cry and I am a firm believer in acupuncture, cupping, and electro therapy! Acupuncture doesnt even hurt! I barely feel it! I fall asleep during treatment and Dr. always makes sure that Im doing okay! He is always so nice, courteous and respectful! If youre skeptical I truly truly recommend JW health, it has been a life changer. I am much happier than Ive been because I dont have my back pain like it was before. I had a bad back injury that was also affecting my stomach and digestion system. I was referred to Dr. Joo after taking steroid injections and over forty sessions of physical therapy. He not only treated my back and my stomach but also noticed a prior injury to my neck and worked on that as well. After twelve sessions of therapy my appetite has improved and its been easier to be able to hold down food. As for my neck, I have much more mobility, less pain, and can can move my arms and shoulders with much less restriction, pain and numbness..I recommend it for anyone in chronic pain or discomfort. Especially if you do hard labor or a constant activity. Dr. Joo also speaks fluent Spanish and is very organized in his timing and scheduling of his appointments.

Ive been coming to Dr. Joo for 1 1/2 yrs, place is clean, he and his wife are very professional and honest in dealing with patients. I had several issues that he was able to address, neck pain due to TMJ, back pain, now Im still undergoing treatment for my Vertigo and arthritis. Cost is reasonable in fact it cheaper considering the treatments that each patient gets each visit. This clinic is highly recommend. You will be assured of your moneys worth.

I have gone to Dr Joo for a total of 6 treatments for my lower back problem L4 L5 degenerated lumbar discs and bulging disc. Since then from pain level #9 Im at a level #4 and still being treated. For now I go twice a week and possibly will go less in about 1 month because of the improvement to my back. I am very pleased and highly recomend Dr. Joo not only is he very professional, but he is very caring and kind. I was diagnosed with Sjogren’s syndrome, Chronic pain, Chronic fatigue and Edema in May of 2014. I also suffer internal heat that caused me to get blotches that burned all over my neck and chest (this was particularly embarrassing since I am fair skin) and a sluggish metabolism causing some severe digestive issues. I have pain in my lower back and a constant throbbing in my right leg that starts at the knee, to the side of my thigh and to my lower back (this was every day, all day). I suffer from mental and physical fatigue to the point of not being able to do my daily duties (at home & work) as expected. I was prescribed medication by my rheumatologist but it didn’t improve my condition. After trying several treatments without any improvement, I asked my doctor for a referral for acupuncture treatment, as a relative of mine had shared how acupuncture helped his condition.I began my treatment (acupuncture, cupping and tea blend) with Dr. Joo in October 2017. I am happy to report that since I’ve started the treatment I have felt much better. I have much more energy. My pain is improving. Swelling has gone down. The burning blotches and overheated sensation has greatly improved. I can use a sweater during cold days!!! My joint pain is gradually improving. I don’t want to make this too long so I’ll try to be as brief as possible.I’ve been suffering from severe chronic migraines for over 23 years.I’ve been on all types of migraine medication. When my migraines get too intense, I go get an injection for the pain. Recently (about a month ago) I was suffering from a 3-day long migraine. I went to “urgent care” to get an injection for the pain which did not work at all. I was so desperate for some relief that I was willing to try ANYTHING to take pain away, then I though about acupuncture and I Google’d clinics around my area.And that is how I found Dr. Joo’s office. After being in a terrible horrific car accident and had started experiencing extreme pain from a lower disk injury and sciatic nerve damage so intense that it would make me so depressed and wince at even breathing. I was so feed up with all the doctors visits, prescriptions, injections, massages chiropratic adjustments, etc. that made no improvement, until one day I was so severe I fell down and couldnt get back up to even walk, that my co-worker suggest I go to this acupuncturist he know that was close by. I had heard from my ex-husband that he had been to one and it helped some.. I just couldnt believe that it was truly going to do any good and was skeptical since my ex was such a deceiver. Where do I begin?I was living with chronic, horrible, horrible pain every day. I had pain in my lower back that would come and go to where I would not be able to do anything for days. I also suffered from chronic TMJ pain on my right jaw to where yawning, brushing my teeth, and eating were things I reluctantly had to endure due to the immense pain (and I love food!!!).I went to the chiropractor countless times and I’d feel good just for the moments I was there and then the back pain would always come back. (It never helped my TMJ).I went to a few regular MDs and they just prescribed me ibuprofen, which I never picked up, and said I basically have to live with the pain while looking at me with sympathy.My mom suggested acupuncture and I am so glad she did. When i first came to Dr. Joo i was walking bent at the waist with an 8 always on the pain scale and using a walker. Medications from my regular Doctors could never really control the pain i felt in my lower back and especially in my legs. I have suffered from muscle pain for years and two people recommended that I go to the doctor until I decided to visit him. He gave me the consultation and recommended the tea box. THE NEUROLOGIST RECOMMENDED ME TO TRY WITH SOMETHING DIFFERENT, SINCE I AM NOT A VERY LOVER OF MEDICINES AND HE GAVE ME THE REFERENCE TO GO TO SEVERAL ACUPUNCTURE PLACES, THIS ONE WAS CLOSER TO ME. BUT THANK GOD I WENT BECAUSE AFTER ALMOST 14 YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING WITH MIGRANIES AND ABOUT 3 OR 4 WITH VERTIGO; AS BY MAGIC AFTER THE FIRST WEEK OF TREATMENT, MY WORLD CHANGED.
