My experience with Target Optical once again was seamless from making an appointment to checking out. Dr. Griffith is a gentle caring doctor that puts you at ease. Hes knowledgeable and professional, and the staff does not try to sell or push you once youve received your prescription. Hands down the best optometry visits Ive experienced and Ill be going back every year.

I had a great experience here. The doctor was very passionate about getting my prescription correct and addressing my eye health concerns. I have a family history of retina detachment so the retina pictures they offer were fantastic. I Would definitely recommend adding this on to the treatment. They are able to make sure everything is in good shape without the hassle of a dilation. Helian (not sure if I spelled correctly) helped me at checkout and was super friendly and knowledgeable about my insurance benefits.

Wonderful experience! Dr. Jason and Sergio were both so patient and friendly with my teenage daughter who was getting contacts for the first time. The optometrist was thorough and very up-to-date on the latest and greatest in contacts and testing equipment. We weren’t sure what to expect since it is inside the Target, but it was fun to look at makeup and convenient to pick up some necessities after her appointment. They take vision insurance and you can use your Red card on contacts and glasses. We left really happy with the whole experience.

It was my first visit and I’m very impressed by the quality of service. Everyone was professional and friendly. The optometrist took the time to do a thorough exam and answer all my questions and concerns.The receptionist explained all my insurance benefits and Billings in detail so I know what I am paying for. They also have a nice selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses. I will definitely come back here. :)+++++++++++++++++This was my second visit to Target Optical in Thousand Oaks and I absolutely had a positive experience like last year. Doctors and staff are all very professional and friendly. In both of my visits, doctors explained the process in detail and answered all questions. They took the time to make sure I am well taken care of and not rushed out. Staff helped me take full advantage of my insurance benefits and I got the best deals. I also love Target Black Friday sales and the red card discount. I received my contact lenses at home couple days after the exam. It was quite a fast delivery considering Thanksgiving holiday. Overall, I couldn’t ask for a better experience and I highly recommend this place.

My eye appointment at Target Optical (Dr. Griffith) was actually with a substitute doctor and I cannot recall his name. But his manner was wonderful, reassuring professional and kind and any disappointment I may have had when I realized Dr. Griffith was not there, was immediately forgotten due to the substitute doctors demeanor. So yeah, I thought it was a great experience! Booked online and voila a few days later, new glasses!

Hes a very down to earth, dedicated person to help you find the right frames. Extremely helpful and passionate. I hope that guy gets a raise. The eye exam went smoothly, very fast and efficient. My optometry check up done by Dr. Griffith was awesome, he performed several tests using electronic devices to check not only to prescribe glasses but also for any degenerative disorders like glaucoma or any other problems related with my eyes, Also he show me computer images of my eyes and comparing with old ones to see how much had changed my vision from last visit! The exam went well. Dr. Griffith is a wonderful optometrist.My only huge complaint is as follows:. Target optical solicited me for an annual appointment thru text/email.I received a voicemail late in the day before my appointment that my insurance was no longer accepted. I left a vm cancelation.I showed up anyway because the same scenario occurred with my spouse, which turned out to be completely false information. And shazam! Target and Dr. Griffith are a contracted provider!Target optical has to stop screwing with people!!!

Two people working glasses department. I said I wanted an estimate for my lenses. The male told me to start with finding glasses because that’s they easiest way. I start looking. The female asked if I needed help. I told her what I was looking for and I was continuing to look for something else under the $200 frames I was holding. She then told me the progressive rx would be $285. Then she told me I was looking at $600. (So she didn’t add those two numbers, did she?). Then she pointed to frames for $79 and was trying to add $285 and $79 in her head but stalled. Her attitude was as if I was a poor person who was looking for the cheapest option. I was looking to see if I liked anything besides the $200 option I selected. I think she thought she was being helpful about the expense, but it felt like she was treating me as a poor person. Ironically, I needed at least two pairs, was prepared to spend over $1k, but it won’t be at this store. The original guy should have told me the price of the lenses when I said that was my question. Her attitude sealed the deal and I walked out.

Visit with doctor was great. Staff was great but did not enforce Covid 19 precautions. Let customer in area without wearing mask properly. She wore it below her nose while less than three feet from staff. Staff was talking directly to her so definitely saw the improperly worn mask!

Dr. Griffith is an exceptional optometrist. My husband and I followed him to Thousand Oaks from his previous practice in Ventura, and we still live in Ventura! He doesn’t over-correct like lots of optometrists do, he’s friendly, personable, takes time to get to know you and explain things that need explaining, and makes yearly eye appointments a pleasure.
