I contemplated getting lasik for a long time as many do I did a lot of research online to find the best LASIK facility that specializes in lasik I could go to, and this was definitely the best of the best to find a place that fully focuses on just that is amazing. This facility is amazing although my experience was swift with Dr. Manger in and out with the surgery as that is his job but I definitely can say he does take pride in his work. He was very careful and made sure I was comfortable during my experience. His staff absolutely blew me away from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. Ive never felt more welcome and cared for by any other place. I was provided a hotel to stay in overnight and a shuttle to and from which was very convenient for me considering I was by myself. I can definitely say if anyone is considering having it done. This is definitely the place to go Dr Manger knows what he is doing, and his staff is top notch and if anyone is wondering about the experience, it is completely painless. Honestly, it really wasnt even uncomfortable. It was quick and they made it very smooth as I am already seeing at 20/15 I would definitely suggest anyone to go here hands-down 10/10

Stay away from this fraud and monster! Dr. Manger ruined my eyes and life and there is no recovery or fix. As soon as I had Lasik, I had major complications, including my left eye being permanently blurry. My up close vision is blurry. And My right eye distance is not good. Dont let this scumbag fool you, all he wants is your 5 grand for the procedure than you will be thrown out in the street to suffer with bad eyesight for life. His daughter works at the front desk and she will try to get your money too. She hung up on me yesterday and I have a one year contract for service and Im only 8 months after the botched procedure. I called 40 times over the last couple weeks to get help with my eyes and they ignored my calls or forwarded me to a call center. This is a Lasik mill and Dr. Manger is a criminal and a monster for what he has done to many people over the years including me. You have been warned people. Also, please stay away from Lasik in general, it is a scam, it doesnt work and risk of complications are very very high despite what the lying industry tries to say. Its all lies. Update: I just visited with a REAL Ophthalmologist and it was confirmed DR. Manger permanently damaged my eyes and did NOT follow proper protocol following Lasik to fix the DLK in my eye, so I have permanent damage and blurry eye. I hope you are happy Manger, you SOB!! And you scumbags that pressure same day butcher eye jobs, you should be ashamed of yourself. The daughter of Manger works at the front desk is a total fraud and liar and just tries to collect money and gives medical advice over the phone without a license. This office is a bunch of monsters and criminals and commit crimes against humanity by damaging eyes for a living. Scumbags! Edit: today at 2/13/2024 I called the office about my eyes and Laurie (Dr. Mangers daughter) called me back. She was rude, hung up the phone on me again, even though I have a year contract with them. She refused to let me talk to the Doctor about my eyes that he ruined. She accused me of slander against her father that ruined my eyes. She tried to deny that there is anything wrong with my eyes. She is a total liar and fraudster and her father is in hiding and refuses to talk with his patient that is suffering. Laurie accused me of writing 17 negative online reviews about their business which is a lie and unprovable. She said I threatened them, which is not true. They do everything in their power to NOT help the patient after they paid and have a contract. Dr. Manger IS a scumbag and a fraudster and not a real Doctor. Look at all his low reviews on Yelp and Google that go back many years. Also, I can prove fraud in my medical records them lying about my condition. Laurie: My freedom of speech about what your butcher lying scumbag father (DR. Manger) will never end, just so you know. So Go Fuc*k yourself. We will be doing a TicTok video soon about Lasik and the fraud Dr. Manger and will be providing facts, something you dont have and will be legally protesting your office all under the authority of an attorney.. Update: I talked with a ophthalmologist today (2/14/2024) and was told Dr. Manger committed malpractice because my eye flap should have been lifted during the first week after the surgery to clean under it and this would have avoided my left eye blindness now. The DLK had to be fixed that first week only and Manger refused now I have cornea melt, a permanently damaged eye because Manger is an incompetent clown that ruins eyes for a living. Dr. Manger (2/22/2024) offered me in writing $5,000 to remove this post. This guy manger is a criminal and a scumbag that ruins lives and eyes and tried to offer me 5 grand today to remove this post. Sorry, Manger, try 5 million and ill think about it. You and your coworkers ruined my life and eyes. I found an attorney today that is very very interested in my case and knows you very well and you and your business are hopefully going down. update: 3/28/2024. Eyes still very bad and its permanent. Stay away!

Being able to see these three beautiful people without having to wear glasses is the best gift of all this season! Thank you to @saddlebackeyecenter Dr. Manger and team. I should of done this years ago!!! The gift of sight is highly under rated. If you are still contemplating lasik eye surgery STOP! Their team provides shuttle, hotel, and meal accommodations along with amazing financing. There should be NO excuses. I can see a very bright future ahead. Happy Holidays everyone. P.S. @saddlebackeyecenter #fighton✌️ Dr. Manger!

If you have been thinking about LASIK and are unsure who you can trust with your vision, I wanted to share my experience and why Ive chosen Dr. Manger for my LASIK.Ive been thinking about LASIK on and off for over ten years. Like some, I have many concerns such as possible side effects, the cost, the right surgeon, and waiting for the advancement of technology, but it was time to get it done. I have friends and family members that had the procedure and were very happy with their outcomes. I chose Dr. Charles Manger over all other surgeons for many reasons. Dr. Manger only specializes in LASIK, and two of my friends had the procedure done with Dr. Manger talked about the quality & service provided. Also important to me, my friend said he takes his time to make sure you are a candidate for the procedure, and he has turned patients away if you are not. I scheduled my free consultation with the option to get the surgery done on the same day. Before my visit, I received a couple of videos introducing me to the facility and walking me through the process.I arrived at 8 a.m., and as I completed my patients forms, I noticed the room started to fill up with return patients and potential patients like myself. Despite how busy the office got, I never felt that everyone was too busy for me. From the moment I was taken back for screening to my meeting with Dr. Manger, everyone who assisted me made me feel like I was the only patient there. I did not feel rushed, and I appreciated the staff asking me to redo one of the tests to double-check the results. The 14 screening tests included an optometrist checking the health of my eyes and prescription. At the end of the screen tests, I felt assured of the process, and more importantly, I knew that I was in the right place to have the procedure done. I had a dedicated staff assigned to me who happened to have the same first and last name. He walked me through what to expect during each step, and he stayed with me, explaining what to expect next, coaching, and cheering on. I came back the next day for my re-exam, and like clockwork, everyone made me feel like I was the only patient being cared. They made me feel comfortable, and the entire experience has been excellent and, yesssss...life-changing for me!Thank you, Dr. Manger and your staff, for the care youve provided.

I am not exaggerating when I say that visiting Dr. Manger was an absolute miracle and I will forever preach the gospel of him and Saddleback Eye Center! I wrote a lengthy review on Yelp and I thought I would post it on Google as well so more people can see it. Today I am about six months out from having my surgery and I am still in shock. I can go swimming without fear of losing a contact, I can fall asleep without the hassle of taking my contacts out (or worse - having to peel them off when Ive accidentally fallen asleep with them in!), I dont have to worry about if there was an emergency in the middle of the night and I didnt have time to put my contacts in. If youre on the fence about having LASIK done, I dont know how else to convince you other than to shake you by the shoulders and yell, What are you waiting for?!? This was the best decision I have ever made in my life and I even told my husband that the day I had the procedure was the best day of my life (I suppose besides the birth of my children and my wedding day lol). I am forever grateful to Dr. Manger and everyone at the Saddleback Eye Center! Here is an excerpt from my long Yelp review:I had been told TWICE…from another LASIK doctor in Newport Beach that I wasnt a good candidate for LASIK eye surgery in the past because my corneas were too thin and my prescription was really high (my contacts Rx was -9.50 and my glasses were around -14.00). My only option was to have an implantable lens placed in my eyeballs Fast forward a couple of years to this past week and I got a mailer from Dr. Charles Manger from the Saddleback Eye Center (SEC) and I thought, hey, maybe technology has changed or whatever. What did I have to lose?…I went in, not expecting much - I didnt want to have my hopes up. All the staff members were so incredibly nice and I didnt think I was going to be a candidate but lo and behold...BOOM. My corneas were fine. Their thickness was perfectly fine and would leave more than enough left to meet the FDA requirements. I was an excellent candidate and they told me that if I did the surgery that same day, Id save $500. I was not expecting that at all!...I wasnt nervous at all. I had been waiting for this since I can remember. I was legally blind without my contacts and Ive had to wear glasses since I was in the first grade. My poor vision has always been a part of me, and I feel its been a part of my identity. But since I didnt have to drive, I gladly accepted the Valium offered to me ;) Surgery was relatively quick. It was just me, Dr. Manger, and two of his (sorry, I dont know the technical term for them) staff members. My eyes were numb from drops that I recognized from my usual eye doctor appointments so I didnt feel anything, just pressure. But no pain whatsoever. I was a little nervous that I would mess up by not following instructions or not looking at the blinking laser, etc. but I think I just fell into this meditative state (thanks, Valium) and I didnt speak one word. Dr. Mangers staff was next to me the whole time, coaching me through it all with this calming voice: Youre doing a great job, Christine. Stay still like a statue. Remember to keep your right eye open... Before I knew it, it was over and I could see!...Everyone was very throughout, patient, and kind to me. They even had an Uber take me home so my mom didnt have to haul the kids to come pick me up. I rested as much as I could when I went home (hard with two small kids), but I was able to do some light computer work that evening…Surprisingly, I didnt have the worst prescription they had seen out if the 85,000 patients Dr. Manger has worked on! But heres the big number for you: Before surgery my vision was 20/4000. Yep, 4000. I also had astigmatisms. Today, the day after my surgery, my vision is 20/25 and is only going to get better with healing. Im still in shock. I didnt think I was going to be a candidate, let alone have the damn surgery SAME DAY!

Best decision ever.It has been about 5 months since my procedure and I still can’t believe my eyes (punintended). Before having this done, there was no way I could drive, work on the computer, or go about with day-to-day activities without my glasses. I tried contacts, because I got sick of having glasses on my face all day, but I couldn’t get past the thought of having to stick my finger in my eyes. So, I dealt with glasses. The thought of LASIK was intimidating at first (since I couldn’t even handle the contacts) but I’d had enough. I went to a seminar, where I got to listen to other patients talk about their experiences and saw the laser rooms where the surgery actually takes place. Also, just hearing from Dr. Manger really makes you feel at easewith everything. The day of the exam/surgery you are taken to a bunch of tests and seen by an optometrist before Dr. Manger. Once he gives the final okay and says you’re a good candidate, you are taken back to get prepped for surgery. “Prepped” meaning they put A LOT of numbing drops in your eyes so you dont feel anything the entire time. The surgery itself only took about 15 minutes! And that was it. I still can’t believe how quick and easy it was. That night, probably about 4 hours after the procedure, I stood across the room and could read the score of the Dodger game… Absolutely amazing. The next morning at my post op visit I was seeing 20/15… I went from 20/200 to 20/15 in not even 24 hours! I even read a few letters on the 20/10 line. My vision has never been this clear, even with my glasses.I still, out of habit, bring my finger to the bridge of my nose to push up my glasses. I cannot thank Dr. Manger enough, and all the staff there, for this amazing gift theyhave given me.

I went to see Dr. Manger on the 18 of May. I wasnt expecting to do the lasik that day. I got as much info and my questions were answered by the staff and the doctors. Dr. Manger reassured me that I was a candidate. I could see so much better. If I could, I would give a big ZERO on stars! This was me a year ago talking about my procedure with Dr. Manger, unfortunately, my eye sight got bad, really bad after 8 months of the procedure, my eyes got blurry and severely dry. I should have NEVER GOTTEN THIS PROCEDURE DONE. They should have been honest with me and told me that I wasnt a candidate. I followed all the instructions given to me for after care. I cant wear glasses too much either because it bothers my eyes. I use drops and eye cleaner to help me see better. What a mess!!!

Had my LASIK done with Dr. Manger on August 3rd, and I finally got around to writing a review! I waited a long time because I usually don’t write reviews for anything, but I am just so impressed with my new 20/15 vision, Dr. Manger’s expertise, and all of Saddleback Eye Center’s amazing staff.I wore contacts since I was 11 years old. By the time I was 18, my eyes became so irritated from my contacts that I couldn’t wear them for more than 6 hours at a time anymore (and I literally HATE wearing glasses). Can’t believe I waited until 24 to do it.I read online that Dr. Manger has done over 80,000 LASIK surgeries, so I was really confident going into his office that he has the expertise. However, what blew me away even more was his staff and how caring and genuinely kind and helpful everyone was!I knew I was going to do the surgery the same day as my consultation, so I expected to be there for a few hours, but the time seemed to go by quickly! There were a lot of tests, but each one was explained really well, and I was regularly checked on to make sure I was okay. I was even given some lunch while waiting :)The surgery itself was super quick and easy. If you’re nervous, they offer Valium, but HONESTLY there is NOTHING to be nervous about! I literally felt nothing, and the surgical assistants coached me through the whole thing. After the surgery was over, the staff was kind enough to set up a complimentary hotel stay overnight and shuttle service because I live over 50 miles away. Overall, I am thorougly impressed with Saddleback Eye Center. It’s seriously the best treatment I have EVER received at a doctor’s office, and it’s a great feeling to throw away all glasses and contacts and wake up every morning with awesome vision! :D

Hi my name is Brigitte Hobbs and I had my monovision done three weeks ago. Love how it has changed my life. No worries about contacts or glasses. I wake up and can see clearly. Sometimes I forget I had the surgery and I think I still have my contacts in. It gets better day by day. Distance is a little difficult. I just keep re-reading the pamphlet I was given when I was at DR. Mangers office before and after the procedure, To remind me that it takes time for my eyes to heal. Distance and night vision can be blurry but I know it will get better as time goes on. I was given glasses for distance but I refuse to use them so my eyes and brain get used to what I have and not have a crutch. Im doing everything DR. Manger told me to do and my eyes are just getting better and better every day. Again reading the pamphlets that he gave really helps to remind me that some days will be better than other others and that its all about the healing process. The only thing I would have to say is that I wish there was earlier follow up than six months, just to be able to talk go over my concerns and make sure my eyes are progressing as they should. Happy and excited each day that passes. Thank you DR. Manger.

6 months ago I came in for a LASIK consultation with Dr. Manger and I decided the day of the consultation to go ahead and do the procedure as they had a special that I would be saving 500.00 if I did the procedure same day. I will be honest, I was extremely nervous and thought maybe I was rushing this and questioning my decision to do this, even though Dr. Manger had so many great reviews about him and his staff and very professional! Lets not forget to mention once I met them all, they definitely were exactly like the reviews said. They were all very nice and made me feel extremely comfortable! I am very sensitive when it comes to my eyes (after the procedure, my eye sensitivity also dramatically decreased which was a pleasant surprise LOL) so just thinking of something coming so close to my eyes totally freaked me out but knowing I was in good hands made me feel so much better about it. The procedure itself was very quick, no pain at all. It took longer to actually numb my eyes than it did to have the actual LASIK done. The day after my procedure I went in for my post op and I went from 20/400 to 20/15 vision, literally overnight! I am so happy to say my 6 months follow up appointment was today and I still have that 20/15 vision!! If you are thinking about doing LASIK, do not hesitate! Come to Dr. Manger for your procedure! He and his staff is once again super awesome and they do great work! I keep trying to get my family to come and do LASIK with him since I’ve had such a great experience and results! If you have any doubts, just do it! You will not regret it!
