As a dental assistant, my #1 priority was to find a dental office who took great care of me, as I do with my patients as well. Coming here was one of the best decisions I’ve made ! Thank you to Dr. and the assistant for treating me like one of their own, making sure I was comfortable before, during and after the entire treatment! 10/10 would tell my coworkers and family about this place !! From the moment I called I mentioned I had a severely infected tooth and need immediate attention and they said Get here NOW! I knew I was going to the right place. The staff is pleasant and care about their patients. Dr. O was great he extracted my wisdom and back moler and some other broken tooth with no problems. Im one day post work and Im feeling much better. I will not wait 3 years before going to the dentist now. I was totally impressed and will recommend my family and friends for sure.

Havent been to a dentist in a while, but I am glad I came here. The staff is very professional and friendly. They all work seamlessly to help each patient. They make you feel like you are their only patient despite attending to other patients at the same time. I would definitely recommend coming here.

I went in for an emergency visit for pain and ended up needing a root canal. They were able to squeeze me in and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with my service. Not only was it done quickly, it was done with so much care and professionalism; I have never felt so well cared for and like I was important at a dentists office. The Dr. and his staff were very attentive not only to my needs and comfortability but to the work they were performing. I have never had such a smooth appointment and procedure.

Being someone that doesn’t like to go to dentists, i went to Downey smile center because it came highly recommended by my family. I have to say that i had the best experience ever i had at any dramatist visit. The Dr. Was very experience and knowledgeable. He explained exactly what i needed and what was not necessary to do. He was very sweet and friendly also. The office staff are super nice with amazing customer service. The office is very updated and clean. Marie the office manager is so professional yet kind and sweet at the same time. They performed my dental work in a timely matter and i was very comfortable throughout the process. Their prices are also very good. I usually don’t write reviews but i had to share this one because it was a great experience from A to Z. I found my dental office for life. This doctor is the best I have 5 stars but really a full 10 stars. What a great experience after not going to the dentist in years. Took all my fears away buy throughly explaining all he seen in the x rays. The staff team is great, so that’s a plus but no need to feel afraid going to the dentist any more when this office has all the most upgraded tools needed to perform there job with a great service. I went home and called my family to change there dentist to this place and even booked a day for my husband to go in and get work done. Make your appointment now because they seem to get a lot of people you have to wait 5-10 in lobby before going in and when you get in maybe another 5 min but you don’t feel the time cause of the great music being played and the great treatment you get when you are seen. He is really fast, knows what he is doing and what a great personality. Hope this helps. Downey resident. ❤️

First time patient. Went in Monday, March 13th 2023. Friendly staff and very clean facility. I was helped in a timely manner. Staff makes you feel comfortable and always smiling! My questions and concerns were answered and taken care of. Great job explaining what dental work I needed. Highly recommend this place.

Do not come here. The only thing that was good was the sweet Dentist. First of all, Marie, if she still works there, and hope karma got her and she doesnt. An absolute witch. She talks down to you, belittles you, and treats you like a child when trying to educate you on something dentistry-wise.I came her two years ago and have thought long, hard and I have a long memory and she deserves -5 stars. Also, Andi, their, receptionsit, very sophmoric. When I asked for a note for longer time off since they forgot the tooth root, which can cause cancer and other things, Andi said, Just call out of your job...it is no big deal By the way, it has been 2.5 years and my bottom right wisdom tooth NEVER HEALED! I still dont have all the sense and feeling that I used too. Also. They should have reffered me to an actual oral surgeon, not some guy, this tall Indian guy, that they have come sometimes to the office. He seems to have wanted to make a little extra money for something he clearly couldnt, shouldnt have done. Here I am 2.5 years later, it never healed, he left the tooth root in. I had to ask for the extra time off from my job to have the hole reopened to remove the tooth root. It was their fault and they still couldnt give me more time on paper. Dont come here and dont get a hexed by Marie 😡😏

I came across Downey Smile Center while surfing Facebook and booked an appointment the next day for consultation. The building looks small from outside but really big and super clean inside. My first impression when I went inside was “WOW!” Ambiance was beautiful and waiting area comfortable. I was at ease right away.The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly, she explained every detail of my treatment plans down to the T, reiterating what the Doctor explained. The whole team were very friendly and responsive to me as a patient reassuring my comfort, they didn’t leave me waiting or in the dark like other places I’ve been. The Doctor didn’t seemed rushed, he answered all my questions and provided me with various options for the treatment I needed. He was genuine and transparent with my care. I assure you that you will get the same “A+ Care” I did. Call today for an appointment, you won’t regret it!

Everything was wonderful the staff was very nice besides the timing the Dr is always running late even when you show up 15 minutes early if only we could get a $30 credit to our account when they’re late since they have their fee when we are.

I had a very good visit . First I was greeted by the receptionist quickly and taken in quickly and the whole staff very helpful and the Dentist assured me what to expect with the rest of the of procedure to get my dentures. He was patience and very calm. I am usually very unconforable at the dentist but not this time. Looking forward to my next visit.

Ive been scared of dentists my entire life due to a horrible experience as a kid. Everyone is super nice and knowledgeable but theyre also gentle and very empathetic to my fears and concerns. Highly recommend Downey smile center. Theyre also very willing to work with you financially and developing a regimen to minimize the damage from my years of neglect. Love my dentist!!!!🥰🥰🥰

I visited this dentist 2 times now. Once for an exam and second time was for a cleaning. I preferred to complete everything in one sitting but I was told the dentist and the hygienist are not there on the same day, so I had to come back a second time. My first appointment was not on time and I waited about 15-20 min. But, once I was in I felt well taken care of. My second visit was on time and the hygienist did an amazing job removing plaque and stains from my teeth. The staff and dentist are great! I would recommend and will be coming back.

They are getting reported to better business burrow. I needed a good amount of dental work and I was told that my insurance didn’t cover the procedure. Thank god i didn’t give them money. So I decided to get a second opinion only because I saw a dentist by my house I live in Long Beach I figured get treatment closer to me. This Downey Smile Dentist was on a dentist list and they looked clean that’s why I went in first place. So when I had a visit with my new dentist by my house I cried at their office cause I was told my insurance covered everything. Don’t go to this Dentist please. Thank you.

Worst place ever, Dr. Galvez did my filling it was bothering me for months, Dr. O took over this problem shave down my feeling which it felt better but its still bothering me filling area is still sensitive and when biting very uncomfortable. I told Dr. O he doesnt want to take responsibility and he wants to send me to a specialist because I might have an issue with a nerve, first of all when I first went there I had no problems whatsoever and now all of a sudden they dont want to take responsibility on the bad job they did with my filling. Definitely will not recommend this place.

You dont feel judged, the care is amazing, and they will refer you to specialist and work with you on payments. I have referred my whole family here.

I came in with a fear of going to the dentist . I hadn’t gone in a while & I had no choice but to go in because I was in such pain with a cracked tooth . When I first walked in the female receptionist was sooooo nice . It was a fast and easy check in . When I went to the back I felt immediate relief when the dental assistant came in knowing I would have assistance by someone I felt comfortable with ( love the fact my dentist / & assistants are for the most part female ) She was super gentle and nice and made me feel at ease when I was explaining my fear. She had me feel calm and she made sure to talk with me as she was doing my check up . What I loved most is that the dentist was a woman and that made me feel at ease & comfortable . She came in and saw me, went over every detail with me and my boyfriend regarding what the next POA would be and options. They really work with you here and make you feel comfortable . I absolutely love this place and would recommend friends & family & even you if you’re reading this to come in to DOWNEY SMILE CENTER !Wish me luck I go back tomorrow 🤞🏽

I Love, Love, Love this dentist. Dr. Kooshyar and his staff are amazing. They understand my fear from childhood trauma That I experienced as a child. He pulled 5 teeth today & it was the second time I’ve ever had teeth extracted without being put under anesthesia & completely out. The first time was last Saturday when he did the first extraction. I am so excited to get the work done so that I can finally, after many years be able to laugh without covering my mouth with my hand. I’m looking forward to regaining my confidence back. When I first came in here I was sooo happy, the staff were nice and was very understanding. But when I went the second time the attitude had changed. I had to get a procedure done, my insurance had told me it would be covered, but apparently it wasn’t. When I went in for the appointment they didn’t charge me right away. When I was making my next appointment I saw a paper with a $75 charge, again no one charged me right there. They didn’t give me any paper with any billing information, so I assumed it was fine. At 7pm in the evening I get a call saying I need to pay $130 for the procedure, which was paid over the phone. I don’t know if there was any miscommunications, but everything seemed very strange. Going back to my sixth month check up, which was made 2 months advanced, I get call from them a day before saying they need insurance approval. When my dad called the insurance to see what’s going on they said, they didn’t receive anything from them. It doesn’t take 2 months for a paper to get to the insurance. Giving a 2 star review because the place is very nice and neat.

The Smile Center in Downey ca Rocks. The staff there are awesome and very professional they made me feel very comfortable right from the start. I avoid dentist and am so glad I went there. There isnt enough great things I can say about this dentist. I have the worst fear of dentists, I have childhood trauma that has caused me to neglect my teeth over a period of many years. I have never had a tooth pulled without being put to sleep, until going to this dentist. The dentist knew about my fears and walked me through everything he was doing. The staff made me feel comfortable and helped me through the procedure step by step. For the first time in a very long time I am excited that I will be able to show my smile again. My appoinment was made here in this location at a CVS in Downey, Ca. Jose and Omar were the professionals that attended me, they were so polite and the service they gave me was excellent! They answered all my questions and explained me everything about the product, the treatment and the expectations, it was a kind and helpful atmosphere in the room with everything nice and clean. I recommend going to cvs smile direct at downey, i had a great customer experience there. I will recommend my family and friends for sure, and they also speak spanish which is great too!!

The office staff is wonderful, its a very nice looking office but the actual dentist is awful. After all my wait, filling out paperwork, more waiting, full mouth x-rays, more waiting... The actual dentist took two seconds, said he would refer me else where for a root canal for a tooth I already knew was needing attention but absolutely refused to look at or talk about any of my other concerns. I have two other big issues, broken fillings and I asked him questions. Nothing, he just left and went to the next patient. Said he would talk to me after I have the one tooth taken care of...This was 110% a waste of time!

I felt very happy when I saw that the person who was going to help me was a person who speaks my same language. I speak English but I feel 100% better when I can explain my problem in my language.
