If I could give them 10 stars I would !! Everyone at Downey of Hyundai are so good at what they do. They go above and beyond to make sure you leave with the car you want. I was able to purchase my dream car all thanks to Diana, Juan, Andrew, and George !!! They worked extremely hard to make sure I was able to leave with the car or my dreams. First time coming to Hyundai Downey location. Me and my husband experience with our purchases at this location was very helpful from the beginning. Jordan was our sale person and he made sure our experience was smooth. Jordan was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, patient and treated us with the upmost gratitude to make us feel like valued customers. Horrible Experience at Downey Hyundai - Avoid at All Costs!I am beyond disappointed with the service at Downey Hyundai. My family and I recently purchased an SUV from this dealership, and our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.First off, the contract explicitly stated that we would receive an extra key with our purchase. Guess what? No extra key was provided. When we approached the dealership about this, they gave us the runaround and have yet to resolve the issue.Secondly, the car was sold to us as certified, yet it has significant problems with the rear rotors. Additionally, we discovered that the air filter was old and hadn’t been replaced. How does a certified vehicle leave the lot with such basic issues?To make matters worse, there were missing parts promised to be sent to us within a few weeks of the sale. It has been months, and we haven’t received anything.The managers at Downey Hyundai are completely unhelpful and seem to be nothing but con artists. They make promises they don’t keep and avoid addressing our concerns.I strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. They are untrustworthy and provide abysmal customer service. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere.

I just purchased my car from this dealership 2 days ago and it was a good experience. Rafa Meija was my salesman and he did everything he could to help and answer all the questions I had about the vehicle before purchasing. He even drove us to their other lot to see another car that I was interested in as well. He was great and kept good communication with us even after the purchase as I had to pick up my spare key today. I wasnt a fan if their financing/sales management team as they did try to get a deal with my credit union even after being told I was already approved and NOT just a pre-approval. But once that was squared away everything else was cake. Mussa was the financial guy that we saw afterwards to finalized the paperwork and he made everything nice quick and easy. So experience overall was good just make sure you let them know youre already approved and emphasize on the fact that they shouldnt run your credit without your authorization.

This was the smoothest and easiest car buying we ever had. We got the payment we wanted, the interest rate we wanted and great customer service from both Moe in Financing and Juan Chacon in Sales. Even when we sat with Financing while we were talking he negotiating a even better interest rate for us with GAP included! Not a fan of the deceptive pricing.Went in to check out a car thats listed on their website as having a selling price of $35,565.00, but when I got to the dealership I saw that their asking price was $51,453.00. I looked at 3 cars in total while at the dealership and the lowest markup they were willing to do for me was $4,000.00 over MSRP. None of the markups are advertised on their website. Personally I think it should be illegal to advertise a price on your website and not honor it when a customer comes in. Oh well, what are you gonna do.TLDR: Prices on their website dont reflect actual prices in the dealership.

I hate writing bad reviews, but this service department story must be told so they can learn and improve.I called in to their service dept on a Thursday in hopes of scheduling an appointment as soon as possible. This was needed to diagnose a 12V battery issue on my 2023 Kona EV, which is about 13 months old at the time of this review. It got so bad that I had to jump start the car to drive it, despite it sitting for less than a day. A service dept employee (did not get her name) told me qualified technicians (for EVs) would be needed to do extensive tests in case the issue is bigger than just the 12V battery going bad. She told me these techs would definitely be available Saturday morning. With this in mind, I scheduled something for Saturday at 11AM.I arrived on time at 11AM Saturday and was told by Andres, the service advisor, that no such qualified techs to look at EVs are available today. They would be available as soon as Monday morning, which meant I had to inconveniently come back. I was immediately dumbfounded and shocked to hear that because I was told something totally different over the phone. Because I did not want to leave completely unsatisfied, I requested for a basic 12V battery test.It did not take long, but I waited and they performed a test and did not find any issues. As you would imagine, I still left with a feeling of unsatisfaction. It did not help that none of the staff apologized or tried to make it right. Their best offer was to tell me to come back Monday, without the need to schedule another appointment. Oh joy.An interesting twist a few days later: Despite having done all of my service at Downey thus far, I decided to try a different dealer. I called and scheduled an appt that following Tuesday on the same day at Cardinaleway Hyundai of El Monte. I brought the car in at 4PM, since it was late, I would have to leave it overnight for them to diagnose it. At this point I was tired of this issue and just wanted it fixed. About 2 hours later, I received a text from service letting me know the battery was indeed bad! Less than 24 hours later, I picked up the car with a replaced 12V battery. This tells me Downey didnt do the 12V battery test right or did not even do it at all since El Monte actually found that the battery was bad, which I had suspected all along.TL;DR: What good is a newly remodeled service dept at Downey Hyundai when the service isnt even doing their job right? Cardinaleway Hyundai of El Monte got the job done. I have attached pictures of the service docs from both dealers (with important info blurred out of course) for good measure.

Unfortunately had an accident and previous vehicle was a total loss, my wife and I did some car shopping and spoke with Miss Diana Lizarde who got us in the door to Downey Hyundai, we had just missed her for an appointment as we showed up late but Mister Abraham took care of us in her absence. He showed us an upgraded vehicle from the one we originally wanted to see which turned out better as it was really great deal. Came back the following day to finish paperwork and drove off in our new vehicle. Thank you both for all your help.

LOVE IT HERE & LOVE MY HYUNDAI ! Rakan was very hard working, respectful, and outstanding. This was my first time purchasing a car and Rakan worked with me to get what I can afford. I initially went in with my Dad who didn’t know much about leasing at first. Rakan showed us around and educated my dad on leasing and some of the benefits. They initially gave us a good offer but my Dad wanted to go home and do more research. My car shopping process continued and Rakan was checking in to see how the search was going. As I was shopping around at other places Rakan was working hard to find me a great deal that was even better than the initial deal(which I didn’t know but am very appreciative of). As my search wasn’t going well I scheduled an appointment with Rakan and was about to settle and purchase a used car but when I walked in Rakan went right to work. He worked very hard to get me a great deal on a brand new car ! It’s very rare to turn down an offer and be offered a better one so I would advise you to ACCEPT THE GOOD OFFER when they give it to you in the first place. Horrible. A salesman named Shay reached out to me from this dealership and when I spoke with him on the phone he told me all about these amazing lease deals they had. I was very upfront with him about my credit situation and told him I am waiting for my scores to go up as I just paid off several credit cards. So I set an appointment for a month out to give my scores time to rebound. We texted for literally a month and I asked very specific questions and he at first was very helpful and informative. I confirmed our appointment a few days before.Well I show up to my appointment and Shay isn’t even there. No explanation, no notification, he just wasn’t there. I get passed off to another guy named Abraham. About 5 minutes into us talking he excuses himself to go into a meeting which took about 15-20 mins. No apology, no explanation. After he comes back, I was VERY clear that I did not want to run my credit until we agreed on a selling price for the vehicle. He and his manager said they wouldnt be able to agree to a price until they run my credit but it would be a soft pull and not a hard inquiry. After they run my credit I get an email later in the day saying they indeed did a hard pull of my credit and it wasnt for my normal credit scores as Shay assured me of over text, it was for an Auto FICO Score which is different. Had I known that, I wouldnt have even come in because I know that score is even lower.Wasting people’s time when they are very transparent about where they’re at is pretty pathetic. THEY reached out to ME looking to buy my vehicle. Completely unprofessional. II ended up leasing from a different Hyundai dealer in Orange County and it was a very pleasant (and honest) experience. I hope that loss of commission was worth it. If these guys call you, don’t pick up.

The dealer sold us defected piece as a brand-new car price, We were the last customer and did the paperwork in 5-10 minutes, since I could not drive back 2 cars, they told me I could keep it there and pick it up any time. After 7 days I I asked for pick up so I could drive back and they promised me that they would pay for my Uber ride. Once I reached there they told me our managers were out and couldnt reimburse me Uber money. My family was so excited about the new car that we stayed cool.I did ask during the test drive a/c was not cooling but the person who sold the car said that once you start driving You will feel all ok. I called back from my car and they told me to watch YouTube about how the a/c works You guys are in good hands and can come anytime if any issues. We did try to educate ourselves on operating a/c but figured it that a/c is not working.We took off and went to the Downey dealer and they told us we needed to go to the service department and learned that the car had issues. I did speak to the manager who told me that the person who sold you the car has left the job, so we cannot do anything or any replacement. I argued and after that, I sent my new car for services. They assured me and told me there was no problem and it was just minute dirt.Finally, summer started, and tried to on the a/c, and not working, so went to the Cerritos dealer who after 36 hours informed me that there was a leakage and external impact expenses not covered by warranty were USD 1569.00.Called Hyundai customer service and they told me our case manager would call within 5 working days. Right now we are using Uber and commuting and struggling even though we bought a brand-new car. Again after this cost my cars life is a ???Please dont buy the Hyundai Sonata 2024 and Downey Hyundai dealers just sell the defective piece at the New car price. Still havent heard from a case manager and not sure what new problems will 2024 Hyundai Sonata Sel will give us.

Typical frustrating Dealership Service experience and why I dont come here unless I HAVE to.I made an appointment a month and a half ago for the recall fixes on my car. They told me it might take a day or two to do so would I need a loaner car? I said yes. Which is part of the reason we set the appointment up so far out so they could ensure I had that.When I showed up for my appointment they seemed to not know that detail and took 4 hours to get one for me making me late for and miss another appointment.The next morning I got a text that my car was ready at 8:30am. I got there at 10am, and still didnt leave till a little after noon.As Im pulling into my driveway, Im really hearing dragging under my car- they cant put undercover back on securely. I will note it was already broken, but clearly still possible if you organize the bolts properly. More broke off on the drive home.I handled it myself since I dont have another 8 hours of my week to spare to have them move a screw.I had ordered a new under cover and well see how long it takes to get it. But rest assured I plan to install it myself.

Unfortunately the dealership never returned my calls regarding the car sold to me that had a broken windshield. I understand that I bought as is but to sell a car with a broken windshield is NOT right. My fault for not checking it thoroughly but no integrity on their part to say anything and to offer to replace the windshield before I buy. Just beware, I know others are smarter at this than me, but just want to put it out there to check the car thoroughly before you sign anything. No integrity. Not happy. Will never buy a car from there again.No one ever reached out to me. But only thru this review. No call.I left a message and hopefully they get back to me to address my concerns about cracked windshield. If not, I will call again.....

What? I can say about Hyundai of Downey is that the service is impeccable. My husband and I spent no more than 2 to 3 hours verses 4 to 6 hrs which is usually the normal amount of time spent at a dealership. EVERYONE was so accommodating and friendly. Every request we had was met. I love this place and will definitely refer and shop here again.

I responded to a used car that ended up being a contracted service loaner that was not for sale. They had no car available that matched the car advertised, my only car had stopped running and my job demanded I have a car otherwise I would have walked away. They did have one car and configuration that met my needs but not the car I had responded to and been sent information on. They did work through the problem to the best of their ability and I do not believe it was intentional, but I find it would be problematic not to advise you to call ahead and ask specifically if the advertised used vehicle is in fact for sale.

Negotiations in bad faith.They gave a quote at a certain price for a Hyundai Santa Fe. we went out to get some food for my daughter and when we came back after 30 minutes, they increased the price by 5000 saying markup. And i spoke to the guy who made a deal with me and he says another customer is coming to check this, so the demand is more now, and that if i am interested in paying the markup they would make another offer.I would never come back to them.If you get a deal from other dealership, skip it for good.

Parts prices are more expensive then other dealer. Finance department does not have good options. They tried to upsell “lifetime warranty”. It would only apply that dealer and if the manger changed you would lose it, don’t fall for that scam/offer. Nice lot.

If you visit Hyundai in Downey, you HAVE to go see Ray. Hands down one of the best car buying experience I’ve had. I drove up 2 hours to this dealership to purchase a specific car and Ray had all the paperwork and details finalized before I even stepped a foot in the building. He was respectful of my time and wasted not a second. Everything was as promised and there weren’t any bumps in the rode. Found a 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid SE on AAA car buying service for a good price. Bought the car to save gas since I have to drive for work. Very happy with the gas mileage at 41mpg.Jordan the salesman was extremely friendly and helpful getting the deal done and pairing my phone with the technology. He gave me his word that the reason they had to jump it to get it to start was that it had been sitting for awhile? If I have issues with the battery Ill go back for a new one. Lots of room inside and smooth ride.

I bought my car last year a 2024 Elentra and the car has been good but last week my navigation isstarted showing an update must be done to work properly. So I called to ask about it because I still have my warranty plus its a simple update that I should not have to pay for but according to them I do. My next question is do I need this done every year or what??

Nothing but crooks.... Brought my Hyundai sonata in (before it was stolen for crying out loud) and was talked into purchasing the basic tune up package which was around $200-300 which was fine by me because it took care of everything I needed. I was guaranteed it would take two days so I rented a car and paid out of my own pocket for a two day rental before the guy at the dealership said you should of told me I could of gave you a loaner.... Ridiculous but whatever, I turn in my rental and head to the dealership to find out they didnt even start the tune up and the mechanic said it would be one more day... fine I called my rental guy and he was cool enough to give me another day for free!! I get a call that same day from the mechanic and he said there was some other issues and if I can give them my permission to fix.. I asked what was the issue and how much and no joke the mechanic said its nothing major just something with the break pads shouldnt be that much in my head Im thinking thats not expensive so I okayed it.. the car still wasnt ready the next day so I had to Uber to work and to the dealership the day after to find out my bill was $3,250....... I was so upset I honestly would have made a disturbance if I didnt calm myself down.. I asked to speak to a manager which they said none were available at the moment.. I looked over all the paperwork and just handed them three of my credit cards to split. And when I drove my car home it felt like nothing changed.... I cant speak any further on the matter because of reasons but best believe Ill never purchase a Kia or Hyundai and would never recommend anyone take their cars here..

Female buyers beware! This dealership sees a female customer and equates it to a customer who is not informed. I had my adult daughter (in her 20s) go by here as we were interested in purchasing a pre-owned Hyundai. They totally tried to take advantage of her by insisting she pay an additional $3995 in ”accessories” that “we added and can’t take off”. My daughter called and asked me about it and I told her to politely get up and exit the building. Magically, the Sales manager (Sonny) was able to “remove” all the accessories (that by the way were never actually installed) once she started to walk out. So fast forward to now two weeks after the deal was completed, on a certified vehicle and the dealership will not provide the second set of keys that are written in the contract and signed off on by the dealership. I’ve reached out to the General Manager Sam by email several times and no luck still receiving a key two weeks out from the transaction date. In fact Sam nor other members of the Mgmt. team (George/Vanessa) will even respond to my emails and I’ve been nothing short of professional with them on every communication. Learn from our mistake and DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR A CAR. You will be taken advantage of, that’s a certainty. There is no integrity at Downey Hyundai!! Worst experience, Very misleading dealership first they were trying to sale me a defective vehicle.But they know it was a defective vehicle I told them the car was defective and they admit that it was a defective. then they brought another vehicle from another lot & they that convinced me the vehicle is good, but it has a lot of defective, including dead battery. I drove it from the lot, and the battery was completely dead and they refused to take an ownership.it was a long, exhausting day then I took the car without checking or turn it off the ignition and check the battery completely dead, they tricked me & hide the malfunction battery by leaving the vehicle engine on, and I drove off but ones I left, came back to tell them the battery is dead. This dealership was a pleasure to deal with. After a lot of research to selct a vehicle we chose the Hyunadai Santa Fe Hybrid. Everything I heard about it was great so we reached out to a number of dealers because this vehicle is very new and no one can keep them on the lot. I worked with Juan and Alejandra and they were both fantastic. Juan told me they ahd the color we were looking for comming in and worked to make sure I was kept infomred as to when it would arrive. During that time I did get a better offer for a vehicle due in to anotehr dealer in a week or two and Juan was able to work to better that offer. I would defiunatley work with them again if we are looking for an additioanl Hyundai or if anyone I know is looking. Great customer service!

Had the worst experience with sales (Rakan) here. First of all, he promised to beat an official offer if I drove to the dealership. He wasnt able to do this, but on top of that, he managed to be unprepared for our appointment, couldnt locate our vehicle for at least an hour, found our vehicle and couldnt access the lot, then harassed me for not going back to the shop after moving forward with the dealer who wasnt jerking me around. I purchased my car in Las Ve gas NV and I’ve never had any problems with our dealership at Centennial Hyundai their customer service was great. But while on vacation my car broke down in CA on 3/14/2024 we took it to Downey Hyundai on 3/15/24 and it wasn’t fixed till last Friday communication with the service people was impossible. I went without my vehicle for almost a month had to rent cars to get around through the time they kept the car to get home to Las Vegas, NV and back to pick up the car. Today when I picked up the car I was told by Jordan that it wouldn’t be a problem to drive it back home to Las Vegas Nevada as it was a new engine and had new coolant. To my surprise it started to blink the service light and then car overheated. I am beyond disgusted by this place. I wish I had read all the reviews. I’m speaking to a lawyer first thing Monday.Regarding response:You will.Now I have taken my vehicle to Centennial Hyundai and they have confirmed:“Hi its Josh at Hyundai, the technician needs to pressure bleed the air in the cooling system. I called Thursday March 21st because i was looking to buy a vehicle. I already knew which model i wanted. A man by the name of Tony answered and proceeded to assist me. ANYONE THINKING OF BUYING A HYUNDAI MODELS 2016 AND UP PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH.Theres a massive problem with oil consumption that starts around 45k miles. I was on the freeway and my car gave out on me cuz it burned through all its oil, i was stranded in the rain on the freeway needless to say my life was in danger at that point. we are very on point with our maintenance.They took my car in. Reoiled it. And told me to go back in 1k miles.I was driving and my car started kicking really bad. Took it back and now theyve had my car for 2 weeks and they dont know when they will have my car ready. Theres a back order on the cleaner they need because theres so mamy cars with the same problem.We payed our car off 3 years early just to deal with this monster of a headache.Turns out there was a lawsuit against hyundai for this very reason. So they know their cars are defective and still sell them like this.Theyre trying to avoid eating the cost for an engine replacement by pinning it on the consumer by questioning your maintenance track record. KEEP TRACK OF ALL YOUR MAINTENANCE, So they cant reverse uno you.If you google hyundai oil consumption youll see that many people have and are still going thru this nightmare.Never buying a hyundai again.

I ended up coming out the dealership leasing a car for $1200. LEASING A CAR, not even owning it at the end of the term. Talk about being screwed over. Then I went back to see if they actually keep their word of 3 day shopper assurance. I read the fine print it has to have less than 300 miles. It had less than 200 miles and it had only been the second day with the car. Told me we can’t take the car back. This dealership advertises 3 day shopper assurance to false advertising there customers.

The second time I came in for and the guy that helped up front did not give me much information on the wait time or anything. 4 hours later I ask for an update and they all look lost, unable to find the paperwork and I see them walking around looking for my car. DO NOT CONTACT THIS SERVICE!!! I had an appointment for service on March 24 at 8:00. I made an appointment because the car showed that service was needed, and the brake fluid was gone from the reservoir. Arriving at the service, I said the reason of the arrival for the administrator. She said the work would take two hours. After two and a half hours, I myself asked when the car would be ready, they returned it to me. As a result, the brake fluid was not poured, they did not check why it disappeared. The hood of the car was not even opened. They did not throw off the message about the service, as it was on the monitor, so it remained. I had to surf the Internet and throw off the error myself. They wrote that they changed the cabin filter and did wheel alignment - work that I did not ask to do, but what I asked to do was not done. The most important thing was to deal with the brake fluid, as it affects traffic safety. But the feeling that the car was not taken care of at all, that it stood for two and a half hours, and I lost this time. Guys, I highly recommend NOT TO CONTACT THIS SERVICE!

Absolutely horrible experience with the service department. Purchased a used car. During the purchase LoJack and nitro tires were included with no option to remove them. On the night of my purchase they needed to put air in my tires. They could not confirm the nitro was put in. I was told not to worry to bring it in and they will fix it. When I installed the LoJack app I was told it needed hardware installed ( I was told it was already installed which is why it is mandatory). No problem set up an appointment for it to be fixed. Brought my car in Thursday for a 7:30 am appointment on Friday. Told the service consultant the 3 items that need to be completed. 1. Fix air in tires, 2 install and fix LoJack and 3 a full detail since they were unable to complete it when I bought the car. I was told I would hear from them by 11am Friday. They did not call. I called at 215 and was told ooops the people doing the detail were leaving and someone would call me back in 5 minutes. I confirmed everything else was going to be done. They did not call. I called again at 3:30 said I am on my way os my car ready. Again I was promised someone would call me back. Again they did not. I arrived at 4pm (just shy of 24 hours after I dropped it off) noone knew what was going on. I waited about 30 minutes and went back to service. First I was told it was being it was on the otherside being washed. Then I witnessed it being driven to the side I was on to be washed. When i finally got my keys (after about an hour and 20 min) I was told the only service they did was the LoJack. I asked who I should talk to that other items were not done I was again told they would call me. Again they did not. I tried all weekend to connect my car to LoJack. I called the dealer again multiple times on Monday. Noone return calls. I called LoJack Monday night. It turns put it was not installed correctly. I called again today and was told I would be called back. Again no return call. So I was forced to purchase 2 additional items LoJack and nitro tires. Neither of which I wanted. Over $1500 in items that they did not install correctly. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. Letting, and manny start returning phone calls of customers. Service manager your communication is horrible. Again I am asking for someone to fix the problem. You are in breach of contract as you have not preformed the items you made me purchase

Then they kept telling me the parts were not in yet which was fine, they told me a date and I figure it wasn’t their fault so ok, then they told me they were still waiting on the part 2 weeks after they told me it was suppose to arrive . Worst customer Worst customer service & worst car buying experience lve had. I am living a literal nightmare as a single mother of 2 with a 3rd on the way due in a couple of weeks. I wish I never stepped foot in this dealer. The sales associate lied about the miles the car had and the amount it would take to fill up. I traded in my 2022Honda accord hybrid sport and for a 2019 Infiniti gx60 & they also lied about the total price, I was told I was signing off on $34k and when I picked up the contract the next day it said $44k. I reached out to them about this and theyre saying its because of the high apr they gave me of 13% but no one discussed this before hand or made it known at the time of signing. When I went to try and dissolve this transaction a Sales Associate of Downey Hyundai came charging towards me as if she was going to harm me and harassed me with an inappropriate tone saying there is no way I can return the car because I already signed the contract. I feel they took advantage of me seeing as lm a woman and pregnant and needed a third row seating vehicle. Ive normally always gone to Honda or Toyota and now wish I stuck with them. I have been getting the run around from everyone there, lve asked to speak to the General Manager who I think is named Sam on multiple occasions and they keep telling me hes going to be there at a certain date and time and when I go he is never there apparently.

Been a customer for 5 years and never have a had an incident like this before where I get my car back from the service center and noticed I had money missing that was in my glove department. Confronted a manger on duty about situation, he interviewed all his employees that had worked on my car, and obviously everybody denied it. It takes one person to ruin everything and from here on out I will never be returning to this location ever. I hope everyone thinks twice before coming and if you do know that you’re at risk.

Dont be fooled by the advertised priced from their website.Theyll show the price significantly discounted on their website. Upon requesting the breakdowns of price, however, theyd never give you a worksheet to conceal a $5,000 accessory fee for the advertised price. These guys keep asking me to stop by their dealership though all I asked was the detailed quote for my inquiry. FYI, the model was Santa Fe 2023, which is soon to be replaced by a newer fully redesigned one in a couple of months.

This place is Ridiculous..I had an appt this morning to have something fixed from a recall. Once I got there, was told they needed to check first to see if I needed the fix. I asked the person who was checking me in if they can tell by the VIN #. He stated yes, but needed to check with another dept. He walked away and came back stating that it needed to replaced and they can order the part which will be here either Wednesday or Thursday. So now I needed to comeback next week. Then somebody else came over and wanted to know what’s going on and continued to talk over me trying to explain how it works. I was trying to tell them it’s a huge inconvenience to have to comeback after taking the day off from work and now I have to take another day off.I came in a few months ago because of a recall and was there for 4 hours only to be given a club for the steering wheel.I’ll never do business here again. They don’t care about their customers time and some of the service staff needs more training on customer care.

Terrible service. I bought a car from them and it started having issues since the first month. I took it in because it was overheating so i was advised to get the thermostat and water pump replaced so i did the car was in service for about a month got the car back 3 months later same thing so I replaced the defective water pump and thermostat and did the transmission oil change they advised but the car kept over heating and i kept having to take it back. Three months ago my car overheated once again so i took it in and now they said the motor needs to be replaced. My car has been in service a little over two months. I keep calling the dealership to know when will the vehicle be ready and Christian keeps avoiding my calls so i requested to speak to a manager (richard) also happens to not be on his desk and unable to give a call back. I really dont recommend this dealership in specific. I took my vehicle into the dealership for a recall and came out needing to spend $1100 for a broken antenna cover.My appointment was on Friday July 29 2022. As previously stated, I was taking my vehicle in for a recall. I left my vehicle at the dealership and came back for it a couple of hours later. After waiting longer than I should have for the vehicle to be brought to me, I first notice that the cover for the fuses is missing. I look around the interior of the vehicle to find that it was on the passenger seat, one of the fuses on the floor near my feet. I put this on and head home. Upon arriving at my house, I notice that the antenna cover on my vehicle is missing. I immediately call the dealership and am told that they will have to consult with the manager and to wait until Monday August 1 for an explanation.Monday comes around and nobody is reaching out to me. I call the dealership and am told that the manager stated that they will help me out by giving me a 20% discount on replacing this antenna cover, something which costs $1100. I go to the dealership and wait over an hour to speak with this manager, Angel. This conversation was infuriating as Angel kept contradicting himself, denying responsibility, denying even the possibility that this could have happened at the dealership, blaming me for it. His explanations were as follows: 1. these parts are known to be flimsy, come off easily, and the vehicle is poorly manufactured, 2. there must have been a large force required (insinuating that it was me that did this) to rip this antenna cover off, 3. we (the dealership) did not do any work on the antenna.For the manager of the service department of a Hyundai dealership to argue that they have no responsibility because it is known that Hyundai parts are flimsy is beyond mind-blowing. What confidence does this instill in customers if the dealership itself admits this about their vehicles? What else is going to malfunction especially concerning as I am driving? Furthermore, I have no reason to touch the antenna and did not put it through a drive-through car wash as Angel suggested. Moreover, even if they didnt have to do any work on the antenna, I find it very plausible that it could have been bumped as it was being washed. If the antenna was broken before getting to the dealership, it would have fallen on the way there. Rather, it fell as I left the dealership.I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Downey Hyundai, the fact that they deferred any sort of responsibility and even blamed me for having done this to the vehicle. There was no interest on their end to figure out what actually happened. Now I am left to figure this out. I am sure that it is a much cheaper fix than the $1100 if I go elsewhere but I shouldnt have to cover even a cent for damage that I did not cause.

I bought a used car from this dealership and they were very helpful in working with me through the process (Thanks Diana L and George N). In a 5 minute phone call we were able to negotiate and arrive at a fair price. I do not live near the dealership so I needed them to assist me remotely. They sent me pictures and live video to satisfy me that the car I wanted was in the condition I expected. I needed them to process all the paperwork and payments remotely and they were able to to that for me. They also worked with a transport company to have the car delivered right to my house. Buyer Beware!!!! This dealership is shady and I would avoid them at all cost or if you have to buy there watch them like a hawk. Our sales representative was nice and did a great job. The issue was the manager or finance person who tried to charge us 8k more than the sticker price for the car we were looking at in a bait and switch scheme. The car’s sticker price was 22,900, but they wanted us to finance 30,900. When we looked at the breakdown of the price the car’s price suddenly was 2 grand more. When I asked them about it they said that was always the price. They must have though we were stupid, because I can literally go outside and check. See photo below. Also, they wanted to charge us 2 plus grand for dealer added accessories. Which is ridiculous, as most of the add one would cost much less if I bought them on my own. For example, a module that makes your brake lights flash cost $20 and is easy to install, not 1k. This seemed like an obvious attempt to charge more for the car than what was listed especially since I never asked for them and they could not remove the items now so I would need to pay for them. So you have been warned I would only shop there at your own risk. It is crazy that a dealership in this day an age would try to be so shady. If they are willing to try and rip us off for a couple of grand who knows what else they are not telling us about the cars.

Dont get your car serviced here. I go to Cerritos Hyundai but I had to get a last minute service here. I showed up for my 10:45 apt with Andy and was handed off multiple times until Andy finally sat me down at 11:20 to go over the service. Car was supposed to be ready at 1:30. I dont receive a call. I call at 4:15, only to be placed on hold and then told I will get a callback. 15 minutes go by and I dont receive a callback. I finally call again, get placed on hold for 5 minutes. I hang up and call again and call the service desk from a different phone. I finally get a hold of Andy and he lets me know he is finishing up and it will be ready at 5. NEVER get your service here, you will prolly get shafted in terms of wait-time and lack of communication. Second time being at this dealer and hated both times. I was really excited to buy a used vehicle that this dealership had listed online. After I test drove it, and sat down to talk about payment, they made me aware of the $3000 worth of dealer accessories in addition to the list price that I was required to pay for if I want to buy the car. The sales person helping me was really nice and attentive, and I would have loved to buy from him. However, I had no interest in the added cost for the amplified rear brake light and the etching that was tacked onto the price listed online. Anyone looking to buy here should get full a price breakdown in writing up front, before wasting their time. An actual apology from this dealership would be to sell the vehicle at asking price without all the dealer accessories that were not transparent or shared with me before I made the trip 70 miles each way. They still have the car and are unwilling to sell it.

Please read this to save yourself a nightmare!When I purchased my Hyundai Kona at Downey, the salesman said I could super charge it, which is not true. They also never sent me the charger that comes with the vehicle, which they “guaranteed” they’d ship me! 1.5 years later and I was ready to give the vehicle back and pay to end my lease early.They gave me a decent quote. I told them I was interested, but had a glovebox full of my stuff and I’d need to get a bag for my belongings. They told me they could give me a box to put my stuff in for my Uber ride home, and they could start up the paperwork as soon as I made my decision. They didn’t give me space to think it over, interrupting my phone calls with information about other cars, so I told them I needed lunch and asked if it’d be okay to leave for a bit. They said “that’s fine, we’re open until the evening, take your time”.I went across the street for 45 minutes, and when I returned, everything went sour. They said they could no longer take my car that day because they didn’t have the staff member to do it, and to return tomorrow (Monday). Given that I live two hours away, this was quite shocking to me. I asked if the staff had been there earlier before I had went to get lunch, and they said “no, this person doesn’t work Sundays”. It just didn’t make sense; why offer me boxes for my Uber home that day, and then say the staff member wasn’t there the whole time!? I asked why they priorly said they’d start paperwork with the knowledge the staff member needed wasn’t there. Their answer was very wish-washy. The manager said: “you weren’t certain earlier”. Nothing was adding up, and I was very confused.I told them returning tomorrow wouldn’t be easy, as it’s a 2 hour drive, and they said they’d work on it, and to wait 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, they returned with no updates.When I vocalized I was upset that they misled me and wasted my time, their response was to be inconsiderate, unapologetic, and make derogatory remarks about what a 2 hour drive was worth to me. They added to my frustration, rather than sympathizing and attempting to turn the situation around. They lacked listening, communication and deescalation skills, and were NOT professional. They proceeded to take their offer off the table, simply because they didn’t like that I called them out for misleading me.They never gave me a chance to explain my charging issues with the car. As for how they addressed me never getting my charger: they said, “things were different around here two years ago”. I’d say they’ve only gotten worse, and the shiny remodeling of the store can’t hide their internal flaws.I’d appreciate a call from the store with an explanation, but they never answer their phones or get back to you when you call and ask questions. I thought going to the store would help, but dealing with the staff in person is worse, as the entire staff stares and gaslights you to your face.Time is precious and they absolutely wasted mine. There’s no getting it back. I’m happy to report this issue, so nobody else wastes theirs and steers clear from the unprofessional and misleading, Downey Hyundai.

On August 3, 2023 (about 3 weeks after this hyundai dealership inspected my vehicle) the vehicle stopped working and i had it towed to Downey Hyundai dealership on August 17, 2023.I was told I would hear back on August 21, 2023. I had not received a call, and it was getting close to closing time so I called Jaclyn Fernandes that same day (August 21, 2023) and was told that due to flooding and the hurricane, I would hear back on Tuesday, August 22, 2023(which I completely understood given the circumstances). When I didnt hear back, I reached out on August 24, 2023, and was notified that Jaclyn was out of the office but that they would speak to the technician regarding the car and get back to me. It was evening time (around 8 pm) and I hadn’t heard back until I received a call from the Sales department stating that they would like to buy my vehicle and put me on a car note(despite my current car already being paid off). Confused, I asked them if something bad had happened to the car. They said no, and when I asked for the status of the car, they said they didnt have that information. On August 25, 2023, I reached out again and mentioned the importance of an update and how the prolonged absence of my vehicle has been affecting my job (missing days of work ). I received a message back from Ms. Fernandes that same day who checked in with the technician. She had said there was an electrical issue with the car and thats the only information they had so far but that I would be told more later. On August 29, 2023 I reached out again regarding the status of the car (since I hadn’t heard back) and asked for an update. I received the update that the safety plug and relay system would be needed and with parts and labor it would be $2400. I mentioned still having questions regarding this development and asked when she would be free to explain it in more detail, no response.On September 1, 2023, I had to take time off work to go down to the dealership with a family member to speak to Brian Buckley, the service manager, regarding the matter. During our conversation, Mr. Buckley had stated that the inspection wait time should not have been as long as it was and that he would investigate the situation further. When he spoke to the mechanic, they stated that they had not had a chance to look at the car yet. He then took time to explain the car problem to us and agreed to waive the inspection fee and said that Jaclyn would send over the document regarding what they found to make up for the long delay and experience overall. That same day, we had to have the car towed back home since we no longer felt comfortable having the car looked at by the dealership given the situation. Mr. Buckley said that he or Ms. Fernandes would be sending over the inspection form discussing what was checked and the outcome. We thanked him for his assistance (he was extremely helpful during this stressful time).When we got the car back,it was in worse condition than when we brought it in. They had also left the battery cover off the battery. I tried to put this all behind me and waited for the document to be sent over to see what was happening with the vehicle and what had been done; however, I had not received anything pertaining to it. I reached out to Jaclyn and had no response. I took it to another mechanic and they had inspected and fixed the problem within 3 days. I can never get back the time I lost. I lost time off work and had I known this would have happened, I would have taken it to another location to get the problem diagnosed and fixed. This situation was not right and although I do appreciate Mr. Buckley’s assistance with everything(he was extremely helpful), the compromise we came to had not been delivered by the rest of his team. Speaking sincerely, from the heart, what I experienced is the first time in my life that I feel like Ive been taken advantage of when purchasing a car. I was taken advantage of due to my young age and inexperience with vehicles and thats not right. My biggest regret was stepping foot in that dealership.

Just a Lil over a month ago I left a glowing review 5 stars actually. But since that time I have had nothing but lies, stalling and no return emails or phone calls. We were under the understanding that the vehicle simply needed a smog check. Well that wasnt accurate, and the car needed a safety check, smog check and delivery inspection none of which were done and we were to return the next weekend to complete the smog check. In the meantime, the vehicles battery died and there was not an actual spare key inside the fob, so we couldnteven enter the vehicle. There was only one seatbelt in the backseat that worked. They had the vehicle towed. At no time did the dealership reach out directly with any updates. We had to comtact them. We originally were told everything will be completed by the end of the week. End of the week arrives with no contact or vehicle. We finally got a loaner after a week, had to figure out how to get to the dealership to pick it up which we dont live nearby. While there we asked questions and received I dont know when it will be ready, im not in service. After a couple of additional weeks, we were directed to contact James the manager. He responds with oh sorry for no communication I will keep the lines of communication open he did for a week all we need is a part another lie. More needed to be done, then its ready but no communication, then another email days later again finally its done and someone would call us to schedule the delivery of our vehicle and return of loaner. Since then no communication from James the manager we have sent emails and left voicemails and guess what absolutely no communication. If this does not speak to the integrity of the managers running this dealership. Will be back with an update after we see how they resolve this issue. Dan the other manager started out great too but handed us over to James. So here we are 10/13/2023 ready to leave for our trip and still no communication with the dealership that has our vehicle. As of right now the only thing we have left of our vehicle and proof that it was delivered are the pictures the towing company took to prove their delivery to the dealership with no damage to the Range Rover.

Went to this dealership thinking it would be better than the snakes at the Mission Hills location. They told me I needed a new manifold and catalytic converter, among other things, and this would get rid of that check engine light. Of course, the warranty is expired, and regardless that this car has been back and forth to the dealer since I got it, theres nothing they could do. It was going to cost a little over $3,000. So I took the car to a mom and pop muffler shop where he sawed the converter off right in front of me and showed me there was NO CLOG, welded it back on and referred me to a guy he knew. I went to that guy, he rest the sensor because he couldnt find anything wrong with the car either and all of this was free of charge. This review stems from my experience over the phone (Or lack thereof). I have been trying to get a hold of someone in the Finance Department, as I was told this is the department to speak with regarding inquiries on warranties. All I have gotten is a mailbox thats full. Ive tried for a few days. On another occasion, I voiced my concern about this to the reception and was transferred to another line. This time I got a mailbox, that at least was not full. I left a message with a call back number and nothing. Its been a few days. I left a message on the website with an e-mail to get a hold of me and still nothing. Once I contacted Downey, they were quick to respond, knew exactly what they had, and were read to show me the car I had sent them the stock number for. Rob El Roz was wonderful to work with. He knew a lot about the car I was interested in, showed me each unique component of it, and was able to answer all my questions. If anyone is car shopping right now, you know just how hard its been to find good deals and available stock. Always do your research and cost breakdown at home to have any idea of what will be discussed at the dealer. Rob and the rest of the Downey team were willing to work out a fair deal. Beware when trying to buyout your lease even if you have the original document that clearly states the terms and conditions to purchase the vehicle. My lease was up and they tried to tack on an additional $1490 so they can make some money as they said. I told them I didnt want this fee and they said it wasnt optional. The first paper said it was for and accessory security etch that I clearly didnt want. Over a couple of days I was able to negotiate it down to $1200 and asked them to clearly state that it was a documentation fee and not an accessory. The told me that they were going to write it up as a theft code accessory that they were going to sell me. A theft code I didnt want but would have been forced to accept if I wanted to complete the purchase. Also, I wouldnt need to bring my vehicle in to get this theft code that they couldnt provide me any documentation on. I told them multiple time that this is fraud and they didnt care. They claimed all dealerships charge this and they were the cheapest around. Typically the charge is $2k and I was getting a deal. I called a lawyer and they confirmed this is an illegal practice and I have documentation of everything just in case I had to go to court. Luckily I found a honest dealership that handled the paperwork for me for no fee even though I signed the lease contract with Downey Hyundai in 2019. #ABC7Eyewitness

This is honestly my first time writing a review but i truly felt like I needed to share my worst customer and car service experience ive ever had. I will never be bringing my car back here ever again for any maintenances or work even though Im covered for free maintenances for my first 36000 miles. My experience here has also destroyed my trust in hyundai as a company overall. I will never be buying a hyundai car ever (and this is coming from a korean wanting to support korean companies).In short, i took my car in because my rear brake light doesnt come on and my right blinker blinks faster than my left blinker. After the 3.5 hour diagnostic appointment, they said that they just have to order an electrical part and it should be here in two days and that they would contact me when its in. No one called me for 5 days so I decided to call. After being put on hold for 20min, the call disconnected. I had to try calling two more times ( each attempt took 20min) to finally get connected to the parts department who told me that the parts already here. So I made an appointment. Both the parts department employee and another employee in charge of my appointment told me that this appointment should only take 2-4 hours. After 5 hours went by, they told me they still needed 45min. After begging to get my car back sooner (because I had a flight to catch) he said my car will be ready in 20min. After 45 min after that, they finally returned my car.As Im driving to the airport today, i noticed my right blinker is still a lot faster than my left. Im 90% sure the problem has not been resolved even after one 3 hour appointment and another 6 hour appointment. This is beyond incompetent. I honestly dont know any working middle class people who has time to waste like this and still get no results.***UPDATE: i ended up taking my car to Hyundai in Glendale and they told me the reason why my lights didn’t work was because there were a couple light bulbs missing and some bolts were loose. My cars been working great ever since I took it into Glendale. Needless to say, DO NOT TRUST your car at this location.

Came in for complementary maintenance (oil change, inspection, tire rotation). When I got my car back, I realized that the tires werent rotated. The excuse I got was tech only saw the part about the oil change, (so I guess the inspection wasnt done either).Got the tires rotated, then saw that the tech left grease marks all over the steering wheel and driver side door. Came back again to have them clean it up.Tires werent rotated properly either. For FWD cars, front wheels go directly to the rear, and the rear wheels are switched. Tech switched front and back. At this point, didnt want these guys anywhere near my car.Basic things like this being missed usually means that its not the first time. Avoid getting serviced here.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I took my car in for service as the usb connector was not working. The person who assisted me, Christian Estrada, told me it would cost me $300 so they could replace it with a new part. I was hesitant at first, but then agreed. I assumed I had to make another appointment for them to get the new part. However, he said they could have it done in 30 minutes since they had a new part there. So I left my car and once I went back to pick it up, I asked him to give me the old part. He went to get it and took a really long time. Absolutely the worst customer service experience! Took my car in to get looked at after the check engine light came on. From the get go just about every employee acted as if they were doing me some huge favor in allowing me to bring my car in for service without an appointment. Yeah sorry I couldn’t schedule my car breaking down🙄. After they hemmed and hawed for a few minutes they finally relented but not before warning that I’d be charged upwards of $250 just to get the darn thing looked at. I agreed because I was desperate and didn’t want to risk driving my car out to my regular dealer in Riverside. Well after agreeing to the diagnostic fee and handing over my key with the understanding that they wouldn’t be able to look at it until the following day, I headed back home. After a week with no communication whatsoever I decided to call and check in. Erica, the service manager, said she’d check with the technician and call me back. Two days later after receiving no call back, I tried again. And again Erica said she check on the status and call back. I waited and waited, no call back. I call again and this time she actually has an answer. But the part needs to be ordered and that could take 2 or 3 days. Another week goes by, and I hear nothing. I call again. Again Erica says she’ll check on the status and call me back. I wait and wait, no call. Now we’re going on week 4. I call again, on a Monday, and I’m promised it will be ready by Wednesday, but can I please let them know what time I’m coming so they can have it washed and ready? After I arrange to take the train and get a lift from the train station, I call on Thursday and leave a message for Erica to let her know what time I’d be there to pick it up on Friday (a full day and a half after it was supposed to be ready). Friday comes and literally as I’m stepping off the train, Erica calls to tell me my car is not in fact ready, they haven’t even received the part! Just the most incompetent, inconsiderate, unprofessional staff I’ve ever had to deal with. Needless to say I demanded my key back and white knuckle drove my car back to Riverside. I’d rather run the risk of being stranded on the 91 freeway than have to deal with these clowns for another 4 weeks.

I didnt notice until a week later when I was driving the car and heard a rushing water sound. Radiator reservoir was empty and the radiator only had a bit of fluid present. My car stopped working on the road and needed a jumpstart to get it working again, I noticed something was wrong with the cars battery so I came back here to replace it. The first time I was told that the battery of the car was fine, it just needed to be charged, and then I waited for three hours, but I found it was still not working. They asked me to continue to repair the car tomorrow morning, and then explained to me that my car has two batteries, one of which has a problem, and the hybrid battery needs to be replaced. Then my car was repaired here for almost a whole day, and finally someone called and told me that the car was ready to pick up. When I came to pick up the car, there was no one in the office to help me. I asked one of the staff and he said let me wait., someone will come and help me. I just stood at the front desk for 20 minutes, everyone ignored me, and then I called and asked if I could pick up the car? The person who answered the phone checked the name and said that the car can be picked up, and I need to sign. No one gave me paperwork to sign, everyone looked very busy, no one asked me if I needed help. I decided to sell my car and avoid having the problem again. You are so busy, you don’t need me as a customer, you can serve other customers, the fewer customers you have, the better your service will be. I dont want to waste time again, I have already lost two days of my time. Every time I came here, someone would call me and ask me to give a five-star review. My previous five-star was for the technician. Front desk service is not worth one star this time.

The last place anyone wants to be is a car dealer on a Sunday. Cars are expensive and you do not always get the level of honest customer service necessary to entrust such a large purchase to the sales representatives available. We went to the Hyundai dealer in Huntington Beach on Saturday and they were aggressive and made you feel like you were about to be taken advantage of. At Downey Hyundai our sales rep was Daniel, he not only gave us the highest level of customer service I had ever seen but was kind and thorough in his explanations. If he didnt have an answer to a question he would ask his general manager. Daniel was extremely personable and honest, which was greatly appreciated after our last car dealer encounter in Huntington Beach. Once we selected the two vehicles we would be purchasing their financier Alberto took over. There was no pressure to buy the warranties or GAP coverage. He explained the benefits of the two and allowed us to make the decision based on the information provided. My spouse and I were in a time crunch as well but once we let them know they had us in and out within 3 hours. I dont know about you but it is a widely known fact that you could spend ALL day buying a car, 3 hours is a short trip for two car purchases. The customer service alone should earn you their business but if that isnt enough, know that they are patient and willing to work with you to find the exact car you want, for the right price, and without the pushy tactics used by other dealers. We are exceptionally happy with them and will be referring family and friends to them without a doubt.

I never write negative reviews because I don’t believe in being harsh to those who may have had a bad day or anything of that nature, but every last experience I’ve had here has been met with rudeness, incompetence, or zero compassion.For context, my car was broken into four months ago now. Since that point, I have been kicked around for the missing window part, which they didn’t have for MONTHS, they made me pay to replace a tire on a loaner car that had a nail in it before I even took it off the lot, and they sent BACK the part I needed before I came in for my final appointment for some odd reason. They have made this process arduous, incredibly frustrating, and have somehow scammed more money out of me in the meantime.I have even had to call for every last update, as they will sit with parts or news at the dealership without saying a word for weeks. I called twice a week after my appointment but was not given an answer (I was put on hold for a long time by 3 different people!!). And now, another week has passed and still no update from them. This place is a scam. They charge extra 3 to 5k on top of price you see online. One of the items is supposed to be a 3M clear protective film put on entire vehicle. Was charged for this got the vehicle home to find there was actually no protective coating installed on vehicle. I brought it back and they kept it for two weeks before they told me that a part needed to be replaced and the repairs would be $1,007. Great, just fix the problem. Picked it up a week later, we are talking about three weeks now and not five minutes after picking up my car and the car still has the same problem. Called both Erica and Carlos. They assured me that if I took a video and uploaded to them they would refund my repairs cost, and I can seek a more competent mechanic. I did as asked and they reneged on their previous statements. At this point a gentleman by the name of Pedro gets involved, he assures me that general manager Carlos will be giving me a call by the end of the day. Here I am five days later and neither Carlos nor Erica have bothered to give me a call back.Do yourself a favor and avoid the Downey Hyundai service department. You’ll save your money, time and patience.I am out over a thousand dollars and I have to look for another mechanic that can fix my car’s issue.

From Downey: best experience possible? -Ricardomy answer: NO...Asked for normal oil, you guys put SyntheticI was told several maintenance were required because of mileage or time, but on the invoice says *Customer Request*, meaning these ere not expected scheduled maintenance services, but I was *sold* into as if they were...The old trick of *You making money, me spending money*...One more issue:I understand you might need a drive test, and adapt a couple of things...But ALL mirrors were moved/changed/corrected... you really need one for a short test, not ALL.And the seat was also changed... I can understand somebody shorter than me might need to adjust the distance... but WHY CHANGE ALL positions of the seat? not just the distance but height and inclination of the back...Why change the steering wheel position?This car does not have a memory button to return to the previous position of all these. Most of these positions have been adjusted by me through time to a very delicate and subtle perfect position.This is NOT a nice way to return a car to your customers... not to mention that it feels stupid... unnecessary... use a pillow!!!! but do not disturb the customer long time position of all these settings...

Service forgot to put my radiator cap back on after a basic service. I only discovered the negligence after getting onto was the freeway and my car overheated. Where I was then left stranded on the side of the freeway for 3 hours with no coolant in my engine. Potentially ruining my engine I’m putting my life at risk!I called the dealership where I was instructed to try and put coolant in MYSELF and drive again. This didn’t work as my car again over heated.I called the next day when the service department was open to have my car either towed or brought to the shop. Which I then waited fOUR hours for someone to actually come and look at my car.After giving me no update for an entire day I was finally called and told my car was ready… meaning what since I was not told was damage was done to my car.I expressed my concern to the manager and how upset I was my life and car were put it so much danger. He was very nice and understanding but said that this could’ve happened at any dealership and they were going above and beyond.I don’t believe that leaving a radiator cap should ever be something that could happen at a dealership and should not be so casually tossed around that it could happen anywhere. No one went above and beyond they were only fixing the mistake they made! I bring my car here so I don’t have to go to a random mechanic and have it messed up in this way. Yet it happened at a dealership!They did take my car and check it to make sure the engine is still working however I do not feel that any mechanics or managers understood how serious and dangerous this is of a situation this is. I am hurt that my life and car wasn’t help with concern by your dealership.I will not be coming back to this dealership nor recommending it to anyone.This was a horrible experience.Jacqueline and Carlos who did assist me were very understanding and nice and cooperative I really appreciate all of their help.However I do not trust the mechanics to handle my car at the dealership anymore

DO NOT TRUST THEM. Don’t sign a credit check form before negotiating the price.I wouldn’t even trust them anymore, I went in for a car and I asked for an OTD price and when I got there they wanted an additional 9k. Walked off the lot and then they tried calling me back to lower the price. Night ended with them saying they sold the car. Next day car was still on the lot. They kept calling me trying to sweeten the deal. Then they told me they sold the car again. The convo finally ended with them telling me they sold the car I was looking at and they got a new car on shipment that they would sell me. I did my research and it was the same car they said they sold. All in all 4 different people lied to me in one way or another. The Store manager likes to play dumb and act like the customer doesn’t know what we’re talking about until you show them proof of them saying it. Then they tuck their tails between their legs and try to somehow make it seem like it’s our fault.

Full transparency i had a free oil change coupon. my client wanted me to get their oil change done at the dealer with a coupon one of the co workers had. so i thought going on a saturday at the latest appointment they had available would result in me not waiting too long as they close service at 4pm on saturday. so i make the appointment for 2:45 and i get to the dealer fifteen minutes early at 2:30. their were three people waiting in the lobby when i arrived. after those three people left a few more people left before i did. i did not get the car until 5:15. so i waited 2hr45min for a simple oil change. i was expecting to leave at the absolute latest 4pm when they closed but i was far from wrong. even though my client had a free oil change coupon, they had to pay me for three hours of my time to get the service done which they were not happy about. it would of been far cheaper and way faster to go to jiffy lube for a 15 min oil change. now we know for next time. my client also wanted me to check what they charge for their labor rate as the car does need some mechanical work. i also called several other dealerships in the area and i even called what i figured was the most expensive dealership i could think of here are the results. downey hyundai 210 an hour, tuttle click hyundai irvine 190, harbor hyundai long beach 195, & norm reeves hyundai cerritos 160. i was shocked to see downey hyundai the most expensive despite being the worst most hood location of all i mentioned. guess thats how they could afford all the exotic cars on the website ripping off hard working people in a not so good area.

Update: after having my car battery die at least 6 times since i got it in June 2021 and having them gaslight me each and every time saying it was normal for the car to die after a week of not being used, and telling me they wouldnt replace it even though i had bought the full warranty, it finally died twice this week alone when i had been driving it 6 out of the 7 days. I took it into a repair shop near me and they told me that not only was there a damaged cell in the battery, but also that Hyundai had put in a less powerful battery (H5 vs H6) than one needed to operate that car. I cant say enough how disappointing the service has been and I strongly advise anyone to not go to this dealership, and maybe not even buy Hyundai at all. They only care about saving themselves money and truly do not care at all about the well being of their customers or the performance of their vehicles. Im planning to sell it and switch to Toyota or Honda which are much more reliable and have better customer service. Save yourself the trouble.Honestly the worst service Ive ever seen. My new car has died 3 times now after leaving town for only a week at a time and they are telling me that this is normal and refuse to change the battery even though the car is under warranty. Additionally, Ive been waiting over 4 hours and have been given no updates, so after calling and waiting on hold for 10 mins, they finally tell me the car is no where close to done and that I should have left it for the day, when nobody told me that when I made the appointment. TLDR; dont buy Hyundai in general, and never come to the Downey Hyundai for service. Its been enough to make my cry openly in the coffee shop Ive been waiting at for the last 4 hours.

I called about a pre-owned Honda Civic they have listed for sale. I asked the sales rep if the advertised price is the price I can buy it at or will there be extra charges imposed for unwanted accessory packages? He said he will call me back in 5 min with the answer. 2 hours later they are texted me asking when am I going to come in! I am like, can you please answer my question?? It seems like the 1st sales rep hands over the lead to a 2nd sales rep and they just want to push you to come in, but they dont want to answer some basic questions. Well, I am not going to drive all the way from South Orange County to Downey just to find out they have $3000 additional accessories added to a $17,000 car which is like almost 20% more than the advertised price!

Went in to test drive a couple of vehicles. We were ready to make a purchase. We had a female sales associate (cant recall her name) that was very nice and very helpful in showing us the vehicles. When it came down to talk price, they add a ridiculous amount on pre installed accessories. We tried to negotiate but a rude Manager interrupted the conversation we were having with the sales associate and sat down without us asking for him. He basically hijacked the conversation from the associate and made things awkward and difficult. From the start, he was very abrasive and did not want to discuss the price of anything. I did my research beforehand and I would not allow myself to get ripped off. The conversation went south fast and in a matter of about a minute, he did not want to continue and stormed off and basically told us to go elsewhere. I am so glad we did because I couldnt live with the thought of giving this guy our business. I feel very sorry for the sales associate, she was helpful and quite honestly was off to a good start. It is unfortunate that due to the rude Manager this associate and this dealership is losing customers. Ultimately, that same day I went to a much better and bigger dealership and am now a happy customer of a Honda vehicle. Please avoid this place and dont waste your time here, seems like they arent willing to earn new customers.

I just moved to LA and was looking for a suitable vehicle. He is very patient, and provides complete attention which one deserves when buying such a big ticket item. The purchase process took longer than usual business hours, and not for once, he wavered from providing a high quality service.Another shoutout is for the finance manager: Ravi, who was very thorough at10:30pm to explain all the documents that I was signing, and answering any questions that I had. Not for once I felt rushed, or that any of my questions were not clearly answered.Overall I felt good about my buying experience at this dealership, and a big THANK YOU to all the people that assisted me (there were more than 2!), and I would definitely recommend this dealership!!!
