Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. Tres tacos are awesome (you can choose all one meat or all different). The pork and chicken were the best. Their house made hot sauce are awesome!

A Mexican fast food restaurant that is way different from the routine chains like Chipotle or Taco Bell.Food is very delicious and tasty. Many varieties of dishes that Carter to ones taste buds. The dishes are so huge you bound to take home some, yummy.Great service, well lit and kids friendly restaurant. The place has very bad echoes inside the restaurant - way too much noise levels throughout and had hard time. Probably destined for Coyotes to come and enjoy the valley ;-)You are probably better off either to-go or sit outside.

My wife and I went to Dos Coyotes on the recommendation of my brother-in-law. We were far from disappointed. I am not a fan of salads, but was I surprised with the Adobe Salad. It was so hugh we had to share. It was fresh an with Chicken added as well as mild sauce made it perfect.It is a restaurant where you order at the counter and delivered to your table. I can see us going many time trying different meals. My wife is still talking about even though its been a hour since leaving. Great job folks!

I dont think Ive gone to a place multiple times because I loved the 1st time hoping it was just an off day.Came here a couple months ago and got a burrito to go... Never again most bland burrito ever.Came by yesterday because mother in law likes the enchiladas.Ordered the mahi mahi tacos.Guy at the cashier seems like he dont want to be there.Got my food with literally crumbs of chips.Usually I ask for chips I remember you used to get like a basket of them before but this time he said I had to pay. So I passed. Chips were also stale.I noticed there was a lot of cabbage on one taco and it had the tiniest sliver of fish in it and the other one was normal size very disappointing.Now we were giving the wrong sauce for a taquito plate. We said excuse me trying to get someones attention one girl looked and ignored us while the cooks all noticed us. Waited a bit and a guy asked if we had an order name and we explained we got the wrong sauce he grabbed it and told the cooks wrong sauce give me the other one. The cook grabbed it and threw it in the trash hard and kept cooking. We kept waiting another person came and asked what was our name for the order and we said we are waiting for the sauce and he said oh and walked away...Still waiting no one seemed to care and the tension felt high. The cashier that helped us asked whats up and we told him he turned around and yelled at the cooks for the sauce and thats when we got the sauce literally standing there for a few minutes.Very sad and disappointed for this location everytime seems to be worse and quality of food going down too.We wont be coming here again I recommend finding a better authentic Mexican restaurant.

I have been a fan of Dos Coyotes since my days at UC Davis in the early 90s! When Dos opened in San Ramon, I was so excited. You can typically find me there on Sunday afternoons and occasionally for lunch during the week. Im the guy with the lean and mean market burrito, no rice and about 12-14 servings of salsa in front of me. Love this place and the taste of the mesquite grilled chicken in my burrito. Sooooo Good!

Food is always good. Service has been better. Line of folks waiting to order. Only one register open. 4 or 5 employees standing behind the counter talking. Could have opened the 2nd register. Also very noisy, but thats they way it always is due to acoustics.

I always give a place 3 times to improve their service after being left disappointed. However, this is the 3rd strike and I feel at loss. For this 3rd order I called in, and asked the worker to repeat my order back to me (which he did), but I am left looking at an order which is sad. I use to go here all the time and I don’t know if it’s; new workers, management, or cooks, but this is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend going here anymore if you crave a decent taco or burrito because you will be left feeling dissatisfied.

Food is always delicious. Got the yollo manga burrito and cant say enough about how yummy and delicious it was! Hands down one of the only burritos I will eat. I also love the green guac salsa that they have. If I could eat it by the spoon full I would.

The gentleman taking my order was very polite but didn’t know completely what is In the orders on the menu. Might have been new. Which it’s totally fine.I ordered a burrito asked for no onions or anything with onions. The cashier wasn’t really sure. But he tried to help me and find out.The cashier tried to asked for help on what’s In the burrito, but wasn’t getting support from I assume the manger. Short little older guy with a mustache.He put in the order as I paid. I asked again anything with onions. He said he didn’t know.The order was made and then the manger said that the guacamole had onions and the burrito was already made.I said nothing with onions please that can be put on the side. The manger rudely directed the back cooks to re make it.The man I assume was the night Shift manager. Very rudely and loudly directed at me said. We are not going to keep making a new burrito every time you change your mind.I replied to him that I wasn’t changing my mind I have the direct order the cashier didn’t know what has onions or not. Then I told him he could work on being kinder.This is clearly a broken system on training the team on the menu and then poor and unacceptable customer service that manager. Very scary to show such poor leadership performed in front his employees. He definitely showed then how to disrespect the customer that he takes money to keep the business stunning.I will not be back to ever support that place of business.That employee definitely is unhappy and shows in the behavior. Definitely would not have someone like that lead a team and be the face of my company.Definitely could use some management courses and customers service training.l and maybe every some self help management.

The food is good. It’s not our favorite Mexican place, but it’s good. The reason I’m giving 4 stars is because we tried to do a large order for dinner for just our family (7), they told us we had to do a catering order. I’m like it’s just for seven people, the lady was so rude. I had to call back and speak to a different manager to order my food. They said they didn’t know if they had enough rice and beans for orders. I said it’s only for seven people I’m not sure why you wouldn’t have enough rice and beans. I told the owner when I picked up about my experience, and he didn’t care at all. I spent over $100 just buying food for seven people for dinner and the lady was very rude. It’s just too much money for not having excellent service and excellent food. It took way too long to order food. So unfortunately we will not be eating here ever again.

Finally getting around to a review from a visit a month ago. Walked in, greeting staff was sitting on their phone texting or playing a game and didn’t see or hear us. My husband had to clear his throat to get them to help us. Our waiter seemed annoyed with us and was not very friendly. The food all had the taste and consistency of refried beans. The salsa was good though. Definitely not worth the price.

Salads was good! Quesadilla and burrito preparation was good, except chicken was very dry and partially uncooked. It took them more then 30 minutes to bring the order. We didnt want to wait any longer, so didnt complain. I would say that quality and service has not been great recently. It used to be our favorite place for Mexican food.

I love their Yolo Mango burrito for a good alternative to the usual takeout but omg are they cheap about the chips. The website specifically lists that the kids meal comes with chips but they refuse to give them to you or tell you theyll charge extra and they are the tiniest most pathetic bags of chips to begin with. But my kids are so sad when they dont get chips so it actually factors into the decision of whether to go there or not. Seems like a petty thing but Ive often ordered extra beans and rice intending to dip chips in them only to find I got like 5 chips with my burrito.If you want in theyll ask you if you need anything else then basically tell you to go get it yourself. Cool, I dont mind helping myself but then dont ask. Long & short of this is the food is good the staff is...enforcing weird rules Im guessing theyre told to follow.

The tacos tasted authentic, and the ingredients are fresh and delicious.I wasnt as enamored with the Guacamole and Chips for the price that I paid. I ordered a burrito ranchero sytle. After I ordered i forgot to ask for sour cream on the side (my bad) so i went back and asked if they can still do it. And they were able to adjust my order(thank you!).Well i noticed everyone who ordered after me all got their food. So i went to the register to see if my plate was coming out soon. I spoke to Dre. He was amazing. He said dont worry i will help you, lets make this right. And, what happened was the food ticket fell down after i asked them to adjust my order. I understood. It was my forgetfullness of how i wanted my sour cream that caused the missplacement.As i was leaving Dre said he would comp my meal because of the wait.The food was good, It was worth the wait! This place has become a family favorite! Consistently great food, LOTS of vegetarian and vegan options, nice outdoor seating area, and salsas galore. We have not had a bad meal or menu item here. Bonus tip - we also ended up working with them to cater a small gathering of 50 or so folks - they were super accommodative, attractively priced, and had everything ready (including a host of customizations we asked for) right on time. The manager even helped us take everything to our car.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Awesome soda options. The margarita was too stiff however your mileage may vary. The food is good but the salsa bar and tables are not checked or cleared/cleaned often enough. It would help if the owner made it more clear on whether or not customers should leave their table without cleaning up after themselves. It can make their customers feel out of place.

Consistent on most location. The cook at the back should ease on cheese (for those that has stomach,.dairy, and diet issue) and should follow the order receipt Their sauce should specify if its spicy (again for those that has stomach issue) i.e. red enchilada and what not. It would help the patron make their decision on what to order. I dont like returning the food or wasting it if food is too spicy to eat and Im also still hungry because Im unable to eat. Suggestion: please offer options such as mild, medium, hot sauce. And for those who preferred extra hot, thats where the hot sauce comes in. Again, the front counter should pay attention on the order and cook at the back and prep area, please be mindful of your patrons order regardless what time of day or super busy or not. I actually think this one is better than the Davis branch which is saying a lot because there is some sentiment sprinkled on at Davis.If youre on the border about this place, yes is the right answer. This was my first visit here. It appears to be a popular place for locals. Ill start off with ambiance - Its a loud place, cafeteria style loud, kids, families, etc. Which is fine unless youre looking for a quiet place to eat, then its not for you. Its a self serve restaurant, they bring the food to where youre sitting, but youre on your own after that. Food - we ordered three different styles of fish tacos and a quesadilla. Overall the food is good, but not great, the pricing is good, so for what you pay its worth it. I had an issue with the California fish taco, too much lime juice made the tortilla soggy and gooey, otherwise the flavors were good. The quesadilla was nice and cheesy, but there was something missing which I cant point my finger on, but good. Ill go again one day, try other dishes and modify my review. Overall I would like to go again.

The got our order wrong. I ordered a veggie burrito, but as I started eating it I found chunks of meat inside. I took it back to the counter and showed it to them. Instead of apologizing, they were very rude, as if it was my fault. They said they could not make another one for me, since they were about to close. Dos Coyotes has come to the San Ramon Valley! For many years, it was the greater Sacramento area which had the access to this restaurant. This location in San Ramon, is big, bright and airy. The decor and layout inside is spacious and very inviting.The menu offers selections that will appeal to any palette. Grilled beef, chicken, seafood, salads, and so much more. One thing people have always loved about Dos Coyotes at any of their locations is just how fresh their food is. It is tasty and the flavors are amazing. The food is cooked to order and brought to your table so nothing is sitting under heat lamps.The staff is friendly, the portions are large and the experience should be first rate. The staff want you to be satisfied and happy. Talk to them and you will see. This restaurant should have a prosperous run at this location as there are no other restaurants around with this type and quality of food. I hope you enjoy it!

I am not a big fan of tex med but this place surprised me. The quality was really good. I went recently during Covid 19band like the outdoor seating area. You order at the counter but the staff brings you the food to your table. They also clean and wipe down the tables. We got chips and salsa to start. The chips were good quality. The salsa could have been hotter but was pretty good. My burrito was very good. My wife had a fish salad which was great. I will be back!

The service and the food at Dos Coyotes never disappoints. The orders are always served under ten minutes, and the staff will make it a point to make youre acquaintance. The staff seems to be a team of regulars which can also be used as an indicator as to a low turnover rate. My wife and I loved going to Dos Coyotes in Davis when I was in grad school (we still stop in when were in the area), and we were very disappointed there wasnt one nearby when we moved away years ago. We learned there was one reasonably close by in San Ramon, so a few nights ago we went there with the family for dinner. Other than the location and building being different it was just as we remember it.What do we like about it? Pretty much everything. The San Ramon location, like the Davis one, is clean and maintained well. The bathroom was also very clean and in order (you can tell a lot about a place by the condition of the bathroom). Staff were very friendly and service was good. The decor is unique compared to other Mexican food places. In fact, the style and decor appears to be pretty much the same as the one from Davis. The mens room even had the same pictures hanging in it.The food is very delicious. Our favorite is the Mahi-Mahi burrito. We love the salsa bar and make repeated trips to sample the various kinds available. Everybody walked away well-fed and happy.

Weve been long time Dos customers going all the way back to their first store in Davis in the mid-90s. Up until recently weve been regular customers of the San Ramon store, but the last two take out meals in Oct. and Nov 2020, have been served luke warm at best. Clearly staff are mass preparing ingredients prior to dining hours and then not keeping them at an appropriate serving temp before assembling online orders for pickup. Very poor practice and not safe. Will be looking to spend our weekly support a local restaurant dollar elsewhere in the future.

Ive been dining at this place for last 3yrs and the quality of food has been consistently great. Also, lately, Ive been getting takeouts from here and the quality is still the same. Taking off 1 star since I did have a hiccup in my takeout experience today. My howlin tostadas didnt come with the beans and i had to drive all over again just to get the beans. Also, i noticed the southwest burrito which used to be bigger is now much smaller. Seems like the filling has been reduced. I dont know if that was a one off incident but definitely surprised. I hope this doesnt happen again.

I’ve been very patient but it’s getting ridiculous. A simple burrito should not take a half hour to make. Maybe ordering ahead resolves this issue. Excellent food and service. I have been a longtime guest of the restaurants. My favorite Dos is the one in Folsom with the outdoor seating in the back. I would recommend the corn on the cob when it is offered. Place is noisy making normal conversations difficult.

I tried Dos Coyotes 6/7/2017. My first impression, was that the place looked nice. The staff seemed really confused. There must have been 20 employees bumping around aimlessly behind the counter. The staff didnt seem very well trainedAs a new customer, I had no clue how the place operated and the crew doesnt offer assistance either. heres your receipt, thanks After wondering around I realized I needed to fetch things like a table, silverware, napkins, drinks etc. The menu says they have Chips and Salsa, well I found a salsa area (bar), but no chips anywhere, So I asked at the counter and was told you will get them with your dinner. Well ok!....in the mean time thou, I will sit here and stare at my salsa and chew on my receipt.My buddy and I both ordered the 3 enchilada platter. When the food came out, it was COLD and mostly flavorless. The enchiladas were small and missing spice, the rice was bland and cold too. The refried beans were bland and blah. There was a few tortilla chips stuck in the food on top of the plate (finally some chips). Not sure broken chips are a traditional Mexican garnish?Later an employee came to take our mostly uneaten plates and asked are you done? we said yes and he said I hope you liked the food and I smiled and said Well? I was going to comment nicely to him on the food, but he walked away so quickly, I never got that chance.Overall this place felt like it was staffed by volunteers, only slightly trained with no visible management presence anywhere. I sure hope they figure out how things should operate and taste because somebody spent a lot of money making this place look nice, but forgot to build a attractive business inside.

Decided to try out this place in the Sacramento airport and got THE worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The lady was rude and acted like she sure as heck didn’t want to be there. I asked for an ice water with lots of ice and she got a cup, put ice in it and handed it to me. I asked where it was I got the water. She then told me “You didn’t order water just ice” I said well I want water and she filled it up, no lid and gave me the dirtiest look. The food fell out of tacos and they said they didn’t have silverware! The food wasn’t even that good either. Will never eat at a Dos Coyotes ever again.

My first visit: noted the nice decorations and the place seemed clean and well appointed. However, the open ceiling translates into a very loud atmosphere where it is difficult to talk. The next thing I observed was the wait staff. It was difficult to say who worked there and who did not. I really hate sitting on a wet seat with my arms on a wet table. They should dry the table if they leave it wet. And, Id at least have aprons to signify that they are a restaurant and that they have identified people who are the staff.I was looking forward to the 3 crispy chicken tacos, but they were not edible. I challenge anyone to try them and say they taste even 1/16th decent. Im not sure the if the people who work there have tasted them. They started out normal with deep fried tortilla shells, but then added many onions, and some highly diced/minced chicken which tasted strange. Even taco bell doesnt put piles of onions on tacos. And It wasnt spoiled chicken, but it was a horrible taste which may have been set by the deep frier? Not sure, but if you own a restaurant, you should at least know how they taste. They topped the shell off with a very strong cotija cheese and some lettuce. The bad tasting chicken mixed with the very strong cheese and it was awful. I dont think anyone has eaten it because theyd go back and reboot that plate. My wife had the Chicken salad and it was tasteless. So I give it 2 stars for the atmosphere.

There are a few taqueria type places that try for that New Mexico style. Few do it successfully. Dos Coyotes succeeds in a few ways. Their red and green sauces are fairly authentic. I always bring a little container home, so that I can have it with eggs the next morning. The green sauce has a nice heat, and is very consistent. The red sauce has a wonderful smokiness. Your choice.Tonights menu offered a special item: New Mexico Stacked Enchiladas. They were so surprisingly authentic; Blue corn tortillas, meat, beans, cheese, stacked and served christmas style (both red AND green sauces), and a fried egg on top. Took me right back home to Albuquerque. This is a special item, but Im hoping if enough people ask for it, they will keep it available. Order it with a Marguerita. They even have guava, or prickly pear flavors if you want a change from the original. All their margueritas are strong and good --- and attractively priced ($5).While the above items get a pretty gold star for authenticity, they fall down in a few places. My advice: Skip those salsas. They have a huge salsa bar full of bland to just terrible salsas. If you must have chips, stick with the pico or order the quacamole. Its flavorful, with nice chunks of avocado. Stay as far away as you can from the tomatillo salsa. It is strangely, cloyingly sweet. Other than that, Ive been fairly impressed with the quality here. You dont need a reservation, and the staff is friendly and efficient.
