The Uyghur cuisine here is very authentic and tasty! Especially the lamb skewers and the noodles. We had an awesome time here! The vibe here feels very welcoming and immersive culture too. Will definitely recommend for anyone wanting to try traditional Uyghur food.Upon knowing we are first time here, the restaurant owner even gave us a yogurt and a milk tea to try out. Very friendly and welcoming.

I’m traveling in LA and this restaurant happens to be my first stop of this trip. Everything was out of my expectations!! The food was pretty authentic and the service was great! You will not regret coming to this place since every dish is so authentic and tasty. Plus Anthony the waiter gave us a beautiful desert on the house. It’s convenient to come here since it’s near Valley. Definitely will come again. One of the not many stunning dining places in this area.

Ample parking and great Ugyhur food. We tried a variety of dishes and they came out fresh and with generous portions. We tried their big plate chicken which was tasty, the laghman was totally worth the visit as well. The manta was made fresh and delicious. The Ugyhur milk tea was also an experience, salty and buttery. I look forward to visiting again and trying more items.

Why have not been here before? I highly recommend everything.We ordered:- Chicken plate - amazing flavor, chicken was tender, potatoes were soft (but not super tender). Veggies were still nice and crunchy. The sauce, I want it on everything. We got it bone-in as I find this options in most situation to be more juicy (and dark meat).- Northwest rice noodle - a good spice kick, mix of veggies and beef were great. It satisfied my tasted buds.- Uyghur Goshaan - amazingly flaky and stuffed to the brim. It was great, until I dunked it into the chicken plate sauce and it became magical. Highly recommend the comboFor dessert we ordered honey cake and baklava; they were good, on sweeter side. A great way to end the meal.As to drink - the hot Uyghur Milk Tea was not my type of team as it was salty. My partner greatly enjoyed it though as it reminded her of Taiwan.

Came on a Friday night without reservations and was seated quickly without a wait, but at the same time, the restaurant was still pretty full and lively!Food came out hot and quickly. It’s hard to describe Uyghur food— it feels in- between East Asian but with some Arabic flavors underlying? Personal favorite was laghman: hand-pulled noodles served on top a yummy veggie and beef broth. The noodles were perfectly chewy!! The lamb kabob was also really tasty and uniquely seasoned (cumin forward). Nothing was spicy or overly oily. Different from typical south Asian or East Asian flavors for sure.Service was really quick and friendly!Parking was so convenient and free, which is a big plus for me.

I came here with my family on a Sunday night. I had mixed expectations as I am a big fan of Turkish food and a big fan of Chinese food. Although the place was packed, and they could use more seating, the food was impeccable. I really like everything. It was a bit of a wait, but that’s because the food is so good that a lot of people want it. The people were nice. The food was great especially because I enjoy spicy food. The noodles were fresh and you could tell they were homemade. We ended the night with a yogurt, dessert and a honey cake which was also amazing. Everything was fresh. Ambience was great. I will definitely be back for more. the meat tasted amazing and fresh as well. It’s very unique and worth the wait. If you are a foodie, then you will definitely love this place. I have not eaten this cuisine anywhere in the world before. I still can’t get over how fresh noodles were.

Tried Uyghur food for the first time here with a few friends. Overall a great dining experience. Nice, clean interior and friendly staff. The fried naan was pretty good—almost like spiced croutons. Dumplings were solid too but the noodles were our favorite dish by far—very flavorful and fresh. I tried the Uyghur milk tea and really disliked it—way too salty. But a lot of other menu items look pretty promising. Prices were okay overall. Would definitely come back.

One note here: the first Dolan’s that comes up will lead you to the Roland Heights location, so make sure you know where you are headed to.The food here is really good. Ordered Big Plate Chicken (Small), Tiger Salad, and Lamb Kebabs. The Big Plate Chicken (small) will definitely be enough for 2-3 people. Its quite large already with lots of chicken. The noodles are a tasty consistency flavored by the spices from the sauce. The chicken was soft to the bite and leaves a good after kick from the spice. The tiger salad was a great medley of onions, peppers, tomatoes, and garlic. Its crunchy, refreshing, and has a toned down spice kick to it. The Lamb Kebabs are a minimum order of 3 and theyre very good. They strike a good balance between chewy and tender. Very juicy and the spice is more of a pepper spice than chili flake spice. Tiger Salad is definitely a great side dish here and Id recommend the others too or exploring more with the other menu items. Again, everything we ordered was somewhat spicy but pleasant. Service was efficient and very kind. The business did get packed by dinnertime, but parking space is adequate.

Everything was amazing!! The staff was pleasant and friendly. Definitely some of the best Uyghur food we have had in America. The spicy noodles with beef was very flavorful and handmade noodles perfect, firm not dry or too doughy. The diced noodles with beef was mild and perfectly cooked as well. The samsa was flaky and tasty for an appetizer, while the naan bread was delicious to soak up the amazing flavors left on the plate. There was enough food on each plate to split if you didnt want to try several different foods. We absolutely will return!!Update, we returned and found all dishes amazing. Absolutely consistent and quality. Tonight, we had pearl noodles and Big Plate Chicken. Such a fusion of flavors dancing on our tongue, so delicious. This place is amazing! It’s my first time trying Uyghur Cuisine, and the chicken is probably the most seasoned chicken I’ve tried in a long time. Buttery, perfectly spicy and perfectly balanced out with the garlic cucumbers and pumpkin dumplings.The dessert was also extremely comforting. I felt like I wanted to be wrapped up in my favorite blanket on the couch, eating their homemade yogurt. My favorite Big Plate Chicken in LA, stir-fire chicken with potato, onion and fresh bell peppers. Always remember to order an extra noodle, their handmade noodle was really good, with flavorful spicy sauce, you can never have enough of it. I recommend bone-in chicken, the chicken was so tender and was easily separate with bone.And the other must have item was their Lamb, I cant not choose from boiled lamb or lamb soup, both of them were sooo good, I usually depends on the weather or my appetite.This is a very authentic Uyghur cuisine, they have other delicious dishes and I just mentioned my top 2.

One of my favorite places around LA. To me, Uyghur cuisine is like a sweet spot between Turkish and Chinese.Excellent meat options like Tower Kebab (they dont need a 1 hour notice, that information on the menu is not true) and Uyghur Kebab, or if you are feeling like chicken, the Boneless Chicken Plate can be preferred. Uyghur Naan, Manti, and Fried Naan with Beef are good picks to order and split with your friends as side dishes.Dont forget to finish your lovely dinner with their baklava, and as a Turkish I can confirm that their baklava is good.And most importantly, wash it all down throughout your dinner with Dolans Special Tea.

(Via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Dolans has now been around for almost four years in Alhambra, but seems to be getting better and better as time passes. The San Gabriel Valley and everyone nearby is so fortunate that the relatively new restaurant survived the pandemic and has come out on the other side even stronger. The foods of Central Asia are not something that Los Angeles and nearby counties are blessed with much of, so Dolans endurance in the future is something to be tended very carefully.

Google Uyghur. Okay, first off I gotta say how amazingly good the noodles were. Wow. Havent had a noodle that good in a long time. Its perfectly made, perfectly chewy, and perfectly cooked. The lagman noodles were great. Loved the beef and veggies. The Manti were really good too, really liked the peppery beef and onion filling. And the cucumbers were great too, nice garlic flavor, not overly seasoned. They were the perfect refreshing side to the other dishes. Definitely want to go back and try more things.

This is a rare find in terms of Asian food.Uyghur food is similar to authentic Mongolian food (my ethnic background) but it is better spiced for the American palate. This restaurant serves up an excellent variety of traditional dishes and I ate until I could not fit another grain of rice. We had-lamb skewers (incredibly flavorful)-lamb polo (classic Uyghur fare)-vegetarian korma chop (chewey with a nice kick)-Uyghur naan with Uyghur salad (good appetizer combo)-the special tea (worth a refill!)If you have some money to splurge, I recommend trying a bit of everything like we did. You gain an appreciation for the wonderful variety of tastes from this culture.

Authentic Uyghur food in SGV. Came here on a Sunday for lunch in a group of three, and we were all excited to eat some noodles. Free parking is available in the lot in front of the restaurant (note that the lot in the back is for the adjacent Noodle World). Credit cards are accepted. Indoor and patio dining was available. Two single occupant bathrooms are available. No alcohol. There were a couple of larger tables for big groups.Food wise, everything we ordered was delicious. The spicy noodles were my favorite, as the noodles are thick and chewy, and came with a generous amount of bell peppers and onions. It had a hint of spice and you can get it with or without beef. The goshnaan reminded me of a minced meat pie but with more aromatic spices. It came cut in 6 pieces. The manta came with the same meat filling as the goshnaan and are your standard boiled dumpling. We also got a pot of the special tea, which tasted floral and was a nice accompaniment to the meal. Note that it was served in paper cups so be careful because it is served piping hot.Overall, I really liked the food and would be back to try more Uyghur food (with some noodles of course).

Uyghur food, as a result of an ancient civilization that has absorbed and integrated a great number of styles and traditions over several millennia, is a perfect mélange of the foods you will find on your Silk Road journey from Istanbul to Sichuan: well spiced, uniquely seasoned and skewered, with meat, rice, and noodles as staple complements. If you like Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Persian, Turkish, or Russian/Georgian flavors, then you will undoubtedly find this place a real winner on all counts.Dolans perfectly captures the artisanal, handmade noodle tradition, combining it with hearty, halal options, from chicken to lamb. There are also plenty of salad and soup choices for those wanting to preserve a KETO-friendly, low-carb, and/or vegetarian/vegan diet. I could come here almost every day and not get bored with the options.My favorite dishes are the boiled lamb leg (a super healthy protein-rich option!), garlic cucumber, and fried eggs & tomato. The food is SO good. My boyfriend is Mongolian, where the food is very similar to Uyghur cuisine and he felt so at home. We ordered the northwest rice noodle and the quyash watkins—which were so delicious and flavorful. We also got the milk tea and yogurt. Both amazing, and so unlike any other food I’ve had. Alex, our server and the manager, was so kind and gave us extra treats on the house. The environment is super clean; there’s a clean and accessible bathroom; and the music is cultural and wonderful! We’re so excited to come back soon.

Pleasant food adventure at the newly opened uyghur restaurant Dolans in Alhambra. Overall services was very friendly and attentive, recommendations from our waiter were all delicious. Ive been to many Uyghur restaurant and I love Uyghur food. Food in this restaurant is mediocre Id say, a bit overpriced for its quality. But thats fine to me. The service is UNACCEPTABLE. Everything is served in reversed order and you gotta wait ten minutes for next item to come. They serve sweet to us firstly after 10mins waiting, then water, then nann... Sat there for a hour the main course was still not served we have empty plates waiting there. In the end we have to cancel it. And there was no apology. If your restaurant is too busy to get kitchen working properly and even care about the service quality at all, maybe dont take so many customers. Sad experience.

The big plate chicken noodles are the star of the show, flavorful and house made noodle dough (machine pressed) was a perfect chewiness. The eggplant also savory and pull apart soft. The lamb skewers possibly a little overcooked to medium but hot off the grill with a spice mix thatll have you asking for more. The Dolan special tea is a spiced must get. The manta dumplings are like kafta mixed meat in a thin soup dumpling wrapping, yum. Certainly a must visit if youre looking for Uyghur food

The milk remind me of my childhood memory when my father brought back the dried milk from Inner Mongolia every summer. Nice salty milk. I wish I will have the chance to try the $468 whole lamb kebab. We got the boneless big plate chicken, fried noodles, dumplings and lamb kabob skewers. The big plate plate chicken was definitely big, and meant to be a shared plate! It very flavourful and spicy, we absolutely loves it but might be too spicy for children or those who are not used spicy food. The fried noodles and lamb skewers were delicious! I believe the noodles are handmade so definitely a unique texture! The dumplings were very unique as well, strong cumin flavour, unlike any other East asian dumplings. Overall, cant wait to go back!

Dolan’s was spectacular! We went with some friends and had an excellent time! There was a group sitting place outdoors, so COVID friendly. The food and service were exceptional—even for a Saturday night. No waits, no long delays. And the menu wasn’t abbreviated.Fried Naan was a little much with the rub they used but the Lamb skewers changed our lives. So good. So tender. The bone-in chicken was superb, as well. And on a nice, chilly night we enjoyed their “special tea.” Absolutely would return.

Weve been here several times and recommend to friends visiting or anyone wanting to try something new.PARKING / ARRIVAL / VIBE:Two small lots are available for customers and street parking if those are full. The large BONELESS BIG PLATE CHICKEN is indeed large and heaped in a mound of chicken and potato chunks atop large flat noodles with sauce; a staple order and the chicken toothsome and flavorful. The LAGHMAN hand pulled noodles with stir fried peppers and beef has a wonderful flavor and the noodles are very springy, you can even see the slight difference of thickness which proves they are hand pulled. the PEARLED NOODLES are kind of like a chopped version of the LAGHMAN - spoonfuls of beefy and chewy noodle goodness, kind of like a rich pasta dish! Dolans is truly wonderful. The food is some of the best Ive ever had, Uyghur or any other cuisine. No matter what you order, every dish seems to complement the next. Although Ive thoroughly enjoyed everything Ive tried, special shout-outs go to the big plate chicken, the kava manta, black mushrooms with celery, their special tea, and all their desserts, which are really next level great. Their food is dreamy... dreamy as in perfection of flavors. We shared three dishes with my hubby and hands down some of the best food Ive ever had. I cant even begin to explain how delicious it is. This place was amazing on so many levels! I used to live in Xinjiang and ate this kind of food every day, and since I left I haven’t had anything like it. Dolan’s dishes are not only authentic but made very high quality with the quality ingredients and cooking process. I tried the goshnaan, laghman, polo, and lamb kebabs, as well as the special tea. The space is very open, not too loud, a great ambiance, and there is plenty of parking. If I lived close by I would come often. This is a very special cuisine that the world should know more about!

First time visiting. The spicy fried noodles with beef are delicious, I did expect the serving to be a bit bigger for the price, and maybe a little more beef, but it is very tasty. Not really spicy just good flavor. The Goshnaan was also very flavorful. The Manta was not as flavorful as I expected but still good, definitely pour a bit of vinegar. The young lady was very nice.

If you havent tried Uyghur Cuisine youre missing out. Dolans on the corner of Valley and 9th in Alhambra is the best Ive sampled. The lamb kebabs could be savored by a toothless man, the cumin beef, celery and black mushroom, hand pulled noodles were all perfectly executed subtle but with just enough spice. The tea (get the special) was flavorful and aromatic, naturally sweet from the cardamom and cinnamon. Comes in a generous pot. It was beautiful with the yogurt with honey, nuts, and raisins for desert. Ambiance was lovely, with live musicians playing traditional instruments.... waiters are friendly, helpful, in the background, and very efficient. Plenty of free parking in the back. Cant believe you can eat food this good without waiting. Just go.

I had one of the best meals in my life here.I cannot say enough good things about the food here and the service is great. Uighur Cuisine is filled with ancient cooking methods which favor laborious hand-stretched noodles and from-scratch breads and dumplings. The handmade noodles are popular here for good reason.I started with a pot of Dolans special Uighur tea with sugar. The tea was served in an ornate silver teapot with matching tea cups. It reminded me of Persian tea with licorice and saffron flavor which is very soothing. Five stars!I ordered three dishes with helpful advice from my server and everything was incredible.The amb kabobs were tender and lean with a nice cumin flavor. Five stars. I loved the handmade noodles with beef and vegetables. The long noodles were really aldente and delicious. Five stars. I ordered a plate of baked dumplings filled with beef and cheese. This dish is hearty and filling, served with fresh sour cream. Five stars.The dinning room is elegant and beautifully decorated with Uighur artwork and folk instruments. I really liked the music which featured world music which varied from traditional Uighur folk music to artists like The Gypsy Kings. Ambiance, five stars.I ended my meal with homemade yogurt topped with honey and raisins and baklava. The best lagman and manty i had in west coast so far.Especially fried version of it is a game changer, not too spicy, not too greasy. And a small plate of the boneless chicken plate is just huge, I would say it’s more than enough for 2 people and I would suggest get extra noodles with it since it has a lot of sauce and they don’t offer a bread. It’s our second time visiting LA and we keep coming back to this place to have a delicious dinner with no doubts.I didn’t like only one thing, they tend to skip phone calls, I wanted to place to go order couple times but they just ignored incoming calls. I kept calling while driving but had no luck. So beside driving 35min to there I had to place an order on the spot and wait another 20 mins, which could’ve been avoided if they would be more responsive.

I heard about Chinese concentration camps of Uyghurs on the news. Uyghurs made most of the masks for the pandemic under forced labor. The noodles taste like wonton texture.• Braised Eggplant | Anything eggplant, I am getting it. Tasted so good! The flavors are different from what I am used to when ordering at a Chinese restaurant. Both cuisines are amazingly good.• Manta | Steamed dumplings filled with beef. Oddly, it tasted like lamb. Still good though. Add their sauce with chili oil to make the taste complete. The waitress mentioned it was good with their yogurt sauce. I didnt hate it but didnt like it either. Prefer without that.• Quyash Qatlima | beautifully made crispy pie, stuffed with ground beef, capsicum, and mozzarella. This was given with sour cream and that went well together. Cuz Most of the 5 star reviewers never tried real Uyghur food.Some dishes don’t make sense. As a person with abundant knowledge of Uyghur and Central Asia cuisine, I can tell the core dishes here are not well made.1. Lamb kebabs, they definitely use the wrong cut of a lamb to make kebabs. They probably use lamb rear leg which is harder drier and leaner. But real kebabs use the front cut of a lamb which is fattier but more flavorful.2, Uyghur polo, the lack of carrots and lamb or even lamb and carrots flavor in this dish is a total off. This is more like rice with lamb very separated taste not lamb polo. Dolans is absolutely wonderful. I had never had Uyghur food before and was absolutely blown away--its an incredible mix of spices and techniques from all over Eurasia. I am a vegetarian, and was a little worried there wouldnt be much for me, but there were a ton of great options: several types of hand-pulled noodles, pumpkin dumplings, a delicious tomato and egg dish, and a lot more.The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is fantastic. We were visiting from Houston, TX and were disappointed so far in the food we tried. We stumbled upon Dolans after searching on google for Halal food. Thank God we discovered this gem. We ordered spicy fried noodles and fried naan with beef. Both dishes were scrumptious. They were so rich in flavor and right amount of spices. Service was also quick and great. One constructive criticism for the owners is for the fried bread and beef dish, have the proportion for beef and bread same or at least more beef. The dish had much more bread, but overall absolutely delicious. Will highly recommend this place to everyone!

This place has fantastic food!I chose this restaurant because I wanted to try a cuisine that I hadnt had previously and I cajoled three friends to come with me. We decided to dine family style to try all we could. The service was distracted as the place was starting to get busy - but all fears of a mediocre experience were eliminated by the first bite of our appetizer - the tiger saladIt was a divine concoction of onion, pepper, tomato, something mouth numbing more than hot, with sesame oil and black vinegar, I presume.With the tingling sensation in our mouths our entrees arrived and each were delicious without being heavy. We had fried naan with beef, Uyghur polo, spicy fried noodle stir fry (we highly enjoyed hand pulled noodles), and manta. If I chose again, I would get the samsa over the manta. All of the meat in our dishes was tender, succulent, and well seasoned.For dessert we had the honey cake. Honey cake is delicious and dryer than most American style cakes so get some tea if you choose this dessert. Mmmm... I will be recommending this highly to my friends because the food was so good.The service the night I went were two waiters who also bussed and hosted. Getting water refills was slower than desired, but man, the food was so GOOD! Something to write home about.Other things to note: there is no alcohol on the menu (the restaurant is halal), there was parking in the back (maybe 8-10 spots) and street parking is doable.

I understand its a busy place but making a table wait for their food while other parties (which came later than ours) got their food first was a bit frustrating. I think they need to rethink their system of putting in orders and serving in the appropriate time frame and in the order they were received. And the fact that everything is freshly made is not an excuse for such late delivery of food. Each person at our party ate their meal at separate times. Also, servers did not once apologize or empathize in anyway. An apology can go a long way in helping customers understand such situations. Came out of town, probably wont be coming again. Food was fine though.

Service was cool and unfriendly at first but the server warmed up to just ok. Food while cooked well was not to my taste. Very greasy and oily. Lots of gristle which was tough and chewy. The spices were mild you only really tasted black pepper and cumin, maybe allspice.The lamb skewers were not as good as the ones I had on the streets of Beijing or even feng mao in koreatown.Honestly there is no reason to go here.

Delicious food and definitely an experience. Uyghur cuisine is totally unique, and well worth the wait. The service isn’t perfect, but a young restaurant needs time to work out the small kinks in serving food timely and efficiently. The special tea was amazing, as well as the big plate chicken(beware of the Szechuan pepper and the lip numbing effects, though). The second meal here was just as good as the first!!

We wanted to get the Polo rice dish but it was sold out. Apparently they only make 15 Polo rice everyday according to the waiter. The food is five stars. The waitress we had was not so… she was friendly, but clearly didn’t understand the fundamentals of service. Communication highly lacking. Any question or interaction we had left her confused and unable to be of any help. The male server was very attentive; she could learn a few things from him. If you go, try to sit in his section. First time experience, wasnt expecting it to be this good, was blown away by the dishes, the bread with steamy meat, and the noodles + sauces were so unique, it had a sweet and slightly umami taste that was so pleasant. Fish taste was really good. Restaurant just opened, really popular, just enough to fill the seats. Cuisine is a stark difference to everything else in town, mostly Cantonese style dishes, but the tea is still very good, which was incredibly strong mint.

The house special tea is delicious and wonderful to just keep drinking while chatting with friends and family on a winter night. We had a kind waiter. Food arrives piping hot and steamy, but we had a mixup where we were given a beef noodle instead of vegan. It took a long time to get someone to come over (there was a rush right after we came in) and when the replacement came out, it wasnt piping hot like everything had been before. They had just picked the beef out in the kitchen and like tiny pieces of meet were still in it. 😑 When we sent that back, we could see our server advocating for us and we were given a fresh piping hot bowl of noodles but this is basically a Hindu veg worst nightmare.

We had never tried food from this region of China before and it was really good. The Big Plate chicken (chicken on bone) is a must get with its flavorful peppercorns and potatoes. And the hand pulled noodles in the Laghman were delicious.The prices seemed very reasonable, considering the quality and the portion size. And the dining room is bright and nice.I would recommend Dolans when you are in the mood for something a bit different. If you want really spicy food, this is not the place. But it you want amazing hand-pulled noodles and good flavor, than it is definitely worth a visit. And there was no wait for Sunday lunch, which was great!

A very unique menu and dining experience. It is very rare to find authentic Uyghur food in LA, they are an ethnic group in China with Turkish Muslim influences. This place is a family run restaurant so expect a more relaxed service instead of fine dining wait service.Food is delicious, though on the pricey side, do pop-in during their lunch offer from 11am - 3pm for a bargain on some of their main rice / noodle dishes. If you like Indian / Middle Eastern food you will enjoy this place. There are also many recognizable Chinese dishes to order with some white rice.The decor in beautifully laid out with carved wooden chairs, Moorish stained glass lamps, traditional instruments in frames and colorful tea sets sprawled along the walls and bannisters. While waiting for your food, enjoy the cultural performances played on the TV sets.

I expected to be better...Lamb kabob (served in a very long skewer stick! Min 3 -skewer to order) is tender. Meat our company s tasty, but the most famous Big Plate Chicken was a let down. My friend doesnt eat spicy version, so they offered less spicy option...De-bone chicken...It was deep fried chicken mixed with sauce and potatos. This was my first time eating Xinjian Uyghur food, which I have never heard of until just recently. From what I heard, Dolans is only one of two places in LA that serves this cuisine. My experience here was quite memorable. First off, the ambience is really interesting. A lovely restaurant that has a Middle Eastern style to it, which is fascinating to see in the San Gabriel area. Second, the food: it was very good. I loved everything, especially their noodles, which are chewy and housemade. I think this was definitely the standout here, which I got with the Big Plate Chicken and the Laghman. The lamb kebabs were also some of the best lamb skewers Ive had and I didnt have that gamey weird taste that characterizes American lamb. Along with that I also had the samsa, which are their little meat pies with ground beef and onions that was kind of like empanadas, which were made fresh in the restaurant.I would definitely go back here again. Again, the food was flavorful and fresh, and the spices are quite authentic. I ordered online from their own website for pickup, the staff took a long time to find my order, feels like he doesn’t know what he was doing, I told him I ordered online for sure and I have the email receipt to show him, but he keeps combat with me that he think I ordered through phone call which I have no idea why it was such a big deal to him. I ordered laghman noodles with beef wasnt edible, cause was cold as well for other one with spicy beef. Overall was pricy bc they served too much noodles along with tiny pieces of beef and veggies. Dolans was fantastic, 5/5 stars!Before you even eat, the atmosphere is vastly different from most places in the area. The scenery is lovely and unique. Even the tea cups are very fancy looking. If I had to judge by appearance, I thought eating here would cost an arm and leg, but its actually quite affordable.One of the dishes is a large chicken platter, with noodles, and potatoes that comes in 2 sizes, which I cant remember at the moment. The flavor is similar to malat dishes, with spicy pepper and peppercorn flavors to give a numb sensation. Im not a big fan if peppers, but it matched the dish nicely.The meat filled naan and the samsa are both savory pastries. The former has more of a crunch to it, while the second is flaky. I recommend both. I had a preference for the naan, but the others enjoyed the latter.The kabobs were great as well. I got the lamb, which had a great chewy texture, and a grilled flavor that wasnt overpowering.As for drinks, we ordered a pot of the milk tea, which surprised us to say the least. It turns out this isnt the milk tea that were used to, having millions of boba places in SoCal. This milk tea is a variant which is known for its salty flavor. Its one of those thingsthat you need an acquired taste for, so it might be a good experience to try something overall.Like others have said, the food takes a bit to arrive, as they only start cooking after you order, so keep this in mind if you dont want to wait.

Dolans Uyghur Cuisine recently opened, offering dishes resembling what youd find at a Mediterranean restaurant or northern Chinese restaurant. The beef and lamb dishes are delicious and cannot be ignored. The noodles have a good spiciness to them and bring good flavor. The samsas have good crisp and flavor.
