I have been training here for over a year. BJJ was/is completely new to me. The academy has a good mix of newer and more experienced people, as well as varying degrees of competitiveness. Professor Dimitri does a fantastic job of simplifying the drills and movements for a person of my skill level that is new (and older in age) to the sport. The more experienced people have been very patient and supportive. I highly recommend giving DMBJJ a look.

Ive been training at DMBJJ for nearly two years and it made me fall in love with the sport of Jiu Jitsu.Professor Dimitrios has established an exceptional martial art school that welcomes everyone, whether youre a combat sports enthusiast or someone looking to improve fitness and learn self-defense.The coaches and instructors are always ready to assist with any needs on the mat.The classes are well-structured with thoughtfully designed and practical drills that are beneficial not only for Jiu Jitsu but also for real-life situations.The atmosphere of the academy is fantastic. This is a great school for beginners and experienced practitioners. Everyone from the head instructor to the students are willing to help you reach your fitness and jiu jitsu goals. The environment is welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend you visit.

I found a home at DM Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy. I’ve been with the team for nearly two years now and couldn’t be more happy. The students who train there are very helpful in your learning process. I’ve been training at Dmbjj for close to 2 years now and I’d definitely accredit this academy for the passion I’ve gained for jiu jitsu over these past 2 years. Professor Dimitrios has done a great job fostering an environment that’s friendly to beginners/hobbyists and a great place for competitors to grow/build their jiu jitsu. I would definitely recommend training here regardless of if you’re just starting your jiu jitsu journey or you’re an experienced practitioner looking for a new academy!

I signed up here exactly a week ago today. I have no previous martial arts experience and I will say this week has been such an amazing experience. Professors have been incredible and very patient teaching me. Also very great environment; everyone is willing to teach you. Would recommend 1000% and can not wait to learn and grow with this team!

Ive been to a few gyms throughout my time training and this is by far the best one Ive experienced. From your first day you will feel welcomed and not out of place. Other gyms have a cliquey vibe to it, but not here. It can be intimidating walking into a new gym for the first time, and have a good vibe matters a lot. Also, Professors attention to detail is unmatched. Details make the difference, and Professors knowledge will turn anyones game from mediocre to impressive. If youre looking for an academy that feels like home and that can take your jiu jitsu to the next level, then come into DM and give it a try!

DM Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an excellent place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Professor Dimitrios Mavraganis provides a good and positive environment when it comes to practice and learning. DM BJJ is one of the top BJJ academies in Southern California. Excellent instruction, clean mats, and friendly. They have an awesome 30 day free trial. If you want to get in top shape, and learn self-defense this is the place to go.

My 14 yo daughter had been going for two months. It is expensive, they want you to sign a contract and do automatic debit. There is lots of kids, all ages in the classes, lots of girls. Adult classes too. The coaches are really encouraging but tough. They push the kids to do well. Good exercise. Not a big area to sit and watch and parking is tough right in front, there are places but its busy but there is plenty of parking to the south of the buildings. The gi ( uniform) is included. They go to competetions.

I did a free trial the other day but this was a really great experience. They put you out on the mat already to learn and the people there were willing to teach you consistently to do your set so that you can actually practice the move. It was really motivating and comfortable.

I have always enjoyed martial arts, but after blowing my knees out in high school wrestling, I had a very hard time finding a martial art I could practice without re-injuring myself. I was referred to DM BJJ by a good friend who knew I was looking for a good place to train. I have now been training there for several months and I cant say enough good things about the place or the team. DM BJJ has high level instructors who make it easy to ask questions and always display a strong sense of respect for everyone who comes through the door. This high regard for respect is equally practiced by the students, which made it very easy for a first timer, like myself, to get the most out of my time on the mat.It doesnt matter if you are looking for a good workout, self defense training, or hardcore BJJ training- DM BJJ covers it all. It also doesnt matter what type of shape youre in. DM BJJs training regiment can be adjusted to meet the needs of all body types. Take it from someone with a torn meniscus in both knees, DM BJJ offers an excellent training regiment that wont push your body too hard... Unless youre too prideful to tap.

Amazing place for kids and adults to train Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Professor mavraganis is a world class instructor and the students there are like family. Really cool hobby I suggest if your thinking about trying a martial art come here first.
