Suggest to go on weekdays. Some areas has less queues. Try to come early to enjoy more places. Bring your own water container, they have water fountain. Small snacks if you will spend full day there to spend less on their kiosk. Before going there, start doing your research what are the places you would prioritize to visit and don’t forget enjoy each moment. Have fun

Had a great time with my family, and it was not too bad during the week. Had a chance to see the new Pixar fest, fireworks, and ate some really good food. We had an awesome time. I would recommend buying your tickets in advance and making a Park(s) reservation for the day you want to attend.

Very nice, but there is more to look at then there is to do. And when it comes time for the fireworks, you see nothing but staff everywhere with lights pointing and yelling to go a certain way which was a bit stressful and confusing. But, nice fireworks show

The entire experience in the park was amazing. The staff exceeded our expectation ensuring we were completely assisted when we had questions or needed directions or needed help with the app. The rides were of course great. The park was clean. You would never know there were thousands of people making the messes that people do.

Amazing first experience at Disney!! Had a wonderful time using Disney genie, I was able to ride all the rides I had on my dream list(except for Haunted mansion and Tianas bayou as they were closed at the time.) So excited for my next adventure back!

What an amazing (and tiring) trip to the magical kingdom. We came with a broken arm and broken leg, and the cast of the theme park helped us every step of the way. We spent 2 days and there was still so much to see and do. The food for the most part was better than expected (with the exception of Pizza Planet, that place sucked). To maximize your time there, be kind and dont be afraid to ask for help. They go a long way to ensure youre having a great stay.

Not feeling Disneyland. California Adventure was so much better.Disneyland is too crowded. Rides takes a long while, broken, or on a delay due to technical difficulties? 👀Even though you can get water from any restaurant, it tastes gross. Idk what is wrong wit the drinking water.Lines for everything spilled out into the walking areas, this makes it so hectic and hard to understand where the line was 👀....yall got peoples waiting 45 mins for a ride, have some shade!Star Wars area/land was awesome though! Only two rides there (one was down👎🏻) but I would have like to stay there all day!Slushy things from a cart in-between small world n fantasyland was good.Breakfast burrito in Tomorrow Land was really good. They run out of food so if you see something you want to eat you better get it. When you come back around it may be sold out.. that goes for the whole park.

Disneyland is great. Gets crowded. It does cost money, but they try to make it better with the app and the Genie pass is a must. The shows, the rides, food, entertainment on the streets, fireworks. The view really is very cool. We love it.

Out of the two parks in California, I prefer this one, but Im biased because Im such a Star Wars fan. Disney did an absolutely incredible job with the newer Star Wars section of their park called Black Spire Outpost. The detail is amazing and you feel like you are actually on a movie set. I tried to get some good photos but I still dont think they do it justice. I had such a good time here. Could have spent a whole day in just this section of the park. The detail of the buildings made it so realistic and the characters walking around were in authentic costumes. The rise of the resistance ride was a lot of fun and entertaining. I also had a really good time on the millennium falcon ride. I was also very impressed with the detail on these rides. Hope my pictures captured some of it. The only part that was a little underwhelming was the cantina. I was hoping that it would be more like the classic Star Wars cantina with a lot of the characters versus just a robot DJ.

Its my happy place! Its so packed now that everyone gives tips on social media, but a bad day at disney still beats a good day at work!I would recommend being at the park before they open. Also, dont over plan! You dont want to end the day with fighting and tears! Enjoy the small things and keep some time for breaks for everyone in the group.

Disney is always good! Map was a bit confusing on the app. Had awesome Star Wars popcorn buckets and drink holders. My son got Jaba! The Nemo submarine ride was really unique. Its about a 15 minute ride. I also liked the storybook canal ride!

This was my 58th visit to a Disney Park! I have always loved Everything Disney!! I was a little bit disappointed this time to see that customer service is declining. We had cast members roll their eyes at us when we would ask for help navigating online services that you offer, like the Genie pass? Nothing but smiles is all we expect at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Very crowded. Most of the staff nice. There in off season first part of February. Long waits without Genie. They found another way to get your money. Then good luck getting to schedule more than 3 rides during the day. Sometimes it is better to just go stand in line if the wait is under 45 minutes. Parking is a bear...waited the longest for that. Doesnt really even compare to Disney World. However, we still had a good time. I think given the highly populated area it is in and the amount of land they have to work with, not sure what they could do better. We were there just Days after the flooding rains when they had to shut it down early. So perhaps that explains why so crowded. People returning to finish exploring when they had to leave early. ??

Legendary park, awesome cast members, surprisingly good food at the Galactic Grill: chopped salad, amazing!!! Went to the park on 3 different dates. Rise of the Resistance ride was probably designed and built by Jar Jar Binks, Inc. Stood in that line for hours on 3 different dates only for it to break down...repeatedly!!!

I always have a nice time when I visit Disneyland. This was no different. Crowds werent bad in the morning, but definitely picked up by late afternoon. The food was great as were the rides. The longest I waited for a ride was about 50 minutes. Id say go to your must do rides first thing in the morning so you dont have to wait too long. Pirates of the Caribbean was pretty much a walk on first thing in the morning. I cant wait to visit again in the near future!

Great visit for the most part but really miss the fast past system. Genie + just wasnt affordable for a family visiting from Canada. Had some great staff/cast experiences though, and the parade was great. If youre going with a toddler, bring a stroller and something to keep them busy during line waits. Def download the ap so you can see wait times. Food is quite pricey, nice for a treat but cheaper to bring your own.Lots of parking but it takes quite a while to get parked and through security and the tram.It is cool at night, dont wear flipflops, do bring a sweater, do bring sunscreen.Loads of characters were out all over the park all day. No fireworks during our visit.

Disney is always a good time. Have not been in so many years.I was VERY disappointed with the prices. How can a family bring their children unless they have quite a lot of money? Disney should be for everyone, and you should not break the bank to take your family. I dont have children, so it was not as big of a deal for my husband and I. Still, I cant imagine I will be going ever again, as it was just not worth the $185 per person to get in on a THURSDAY.... A company like Disney can afford to lower prices, they just wont, and that is sad.That being said, it is beautiful, clean and fun. Sadly, I cannot say it is the happiest place on Earth... Especially if you dont know if you can pay your rent/mortgage the following month.

Its freaking Disney... of course it was great. We didnt stay at the resort but made reservations at Goofys Kitchen. Its a lot like Mickeys Kitchen in Florida. The restaurant is right off the pool, which leads straight into Downtown Disney. So we could walk through Downtown and hang for a bit and then cut through to go eat. It was a great night.

Disneyland is always such an incredible experience. We used Genie+ and bought lining lanes for Radiator Springs and Rise of the Resistance so we never waited more than 15-20 mins for a ride and many times just walked right up to ride. It’s definitely worth it to buy the add ones if you are able to do that you can have a quick and fun experience with low wait times. We got to ride all the big rides and everything we wanted with no problem! The firework show on the castle at night was also spectacular. We had minor encounters with rude or frustrated cast members so some had big attitudes but over all we did not let this ruin our trip. It’s always such a great time to experience Disneyland. Of course things are pricey but I think the experience is worth it. They have great food and treats as well as alcohol throughout the park for adults. It’s a very fun place even if you do not have kids. The Disneyland app is also amazing as you have everything you need in it. If you get Genie+ you also get the photo pass and can get ride photos and the professional photos you get from cast members for free. It’s awesome! We also used a locker for only $7 for the day which was very convenient. I cannot wait for my next trip here. We did have to miss the incredicoaster since it was shut down for refurbishment and haunted mansion is being renovated, but overall all other rides were up and running.

I love Disneyland Park. We used Lightning Lane with our Genie Plus and unfortunately we couldnt plan anything before entering the park which later on resulted in going back and forth inside to the park. Disneyworld allows you to plan your first two attractions at 7 am which sets the whole day with a better plan. The bands are not popular yet in California although they cut the lines as you can enter attractions and pay for everything with the band.We bought dinner at the Skyline Terrace which actually wasnt a served dinner as they advertised but a box with mediocre food. Gluten free option was bean dip without any chips and fruit salad. We could use the place as a lounge until 10 pm with unlimited drinks but they went out of hot water!!!! So no tea. Nobody bothered to bring hot water for multiple guests asking for it. Tons of Im sorry but no water.The new parade is great and we enjoyed our day at the park.

The new parking and bag check entrance was much improved. Star Wars land was cool and uncrowded in the early morning on a Wednesday, but the Cantina could use a little more vibe and food. As the day progressed so did the crowds, making the park more difficult to enjoy. Disneyland is scheduled to continue growing after Anaheim o.kd their expansion permits, but I will forever miss the simpler times there in my youth. God bless the dreamers!

Its ok overall. The new app is still needing much improvement. The genie feature/option is questionable at best and its expensive for how it works and when. My app crashed I had to go to the green umbrella customer service which were extremely helpful and tired to help, I still landed up at the end of a 120 min wait for the guardians of the galaxy ride which was definitely worth it after all the mess 😃 I had a few off experience this time out. Like a few rides I wanted to go on were closed or something happened. (Carousel had a situation, the rockets closed, jellyfish half open, and one other that I cant seem to remember) our 2 younger kids were first time visitors so lots of the smaller rides/experiences were not so ideal. I was in line at a two line stand and the attendant just walked away I was the last person in line and never got served. A second experience my parents got in line at the cones at the cars stand when I placed an advanced order 25 minutes before they were in line and got through the line before my pre placed order was ready. So the app isnt as convenient as its cracked up to be. I have 4 young kids and Im trying to make it an exciting experience. They are young so the excitement comes from all the bells and whistles. Most of us got the majority of the Disney experience we needed to be reasonably satisfied. However Im only fairly satisfied but my kids dont really know any better so they were pleased within reason.I think most of the positives made it ok.

The Black Spire Outpost was amazing! A great example of the type of modern experience and adventure we are looking for from modern Disney. Experiences like building droids and lightsabers, characters interacting with visitors, exploring the shops, and eating thematic food. Awesome!! Our only big complaint is that it was difficult to experience Rise of the Resistance due to three breakdowns in one day. But we persisted and so should you, because it was super fun! Other than that...some of the staff in the trading area were not exactly thrilled to have their jobs. Suggest mystery shopping them and replacing them as needed (the girl in the droid building shop was super awesome though).

I was surprised with a trip to Disney by my partner. I was skeptical I would enjoy the park as an adult but I was wrong. Getting to walk around all of the different lands is so fun. The theming within the park is unmatched. You really feel transported walking around the park. The park was not as busy as I expected on a Sunday. I had a blast and I cannot wait to go back to see more.Extremely fun for all ages!

1st timer today. The crowds dont seem as bad as Ive heard but might have to do with it being a week day. The only real complaint is that some rides are temporarily closed and the park is closing early today for a private event. The 4 starts instead of the 5 is because of Pizza Planet is awful, tasted like school cafeteria pizza. The rest of the food at the park is either average or great! 4 stars will come again

My favorite times to visit the parks to get the extra affect of its beautiful magic is during the holidays. They have things decorated so beautiful for Halloween and Christmas is such a beautiful site that you must experience. As well as seeing the characters in their special outfits getting to enjoy delicious seasonal eats and treats.

I must admit, even though I live about 90 mins away, this was my first visit to Disneyland since 1996. Im really not a huge fan of theme park rides, but I do enjoy fun attractions. This January visit was definitely much more crowded than it was when I visited in January 1996. The lines were an average of 45 minutes to an hour, so we got about 6 rides in for the day. We only did the main park, mostly to see the Star Wars area. Star Wars is so well done, it really feels like youre in one of the towns from that movie. And the rides were so much fun. I would go back again soon just for those attractions. One thing we did say was that, next time, well pay the extra for the VIP passes. It would be worth it to shorten the wait between rides.

First time and let me tell you it is AMAZING I’m an annual pass holder here in Florida, yes is a smaller park but it is perfectly made so cozy and it caters to the classic Disney characters, they also have rides that we don’t like Casey Junior Train, Matterhorn to name a few.Extremely organized, clean, great variety of food is magical and worth every penny.

Ordering food thru the app was amazing. Super fast, accurate and easy to do. Kept the Littles from crashing on a long day. Wish the lightning lane allowed you to book more consistent rides for the extra money. 2 rides per 3.5hrs is best we could average. The rest of the time we were looking for rides for the shortest wait and standing for 30-45mins. Kids loved the street parade and my son thought the star wars exhibits were the best but hes a huge fan. Biggest complaint, genie watches were dead despite them saying they would be 50% charged! Had to purchase charging devices to get them to work, then updated(4 of them). Phones die quick cuz you are constantly on them booking rides, food and searching maps. Bring a CHARGING DEVICE!!!!

Well lets see what can I say besides Disneyland has changed a lot. Its been a while since Ive come to Disneyland due to the outrageous increase in prices. But I got to say that I was impressed with a lot of the things around Disneyland the new rides and Exhibits. Still that magical place enjoy laughter smiles left and right. Probably the only place that I know that can turn an adult back into a child. We got a discount from this special thing that they were offering so I said why not bought some tickets came. And let me tell you what the only reason why Im here is if it wasnt for that discount but also the Star Wars area. And I have to say it did not let me down. If anything it exceeded my expectations. The characters were man on it they interacted well with the kids. Not only that I finished it off with making my own lightsaber what an experience that was like I said I felt like a kid again boy did I geek out though. I cant really tell you about the food prices I didnt eat there I know I checked one thing and it was ridiculously overpriced. I just got drinks and even that was a little too much. I wasnt too crazy about the Star Wars middle I cant even explain what that tasted like but I dont know I guess people other people like it me it wasnt the greatest but there was a coffee that I had there with Cocoa Puffs on it and I think cream cheese or something I dont know that was fire that was good. The Buzz Lightyear ride was great New Orleans was closed down for the most but more or less we were able to get on a number of rides. And we had a blast it was fun. Disneyland park is amazing, Adventure park is filled with rides so if like thrilled and amusement rides go for Adventure park 1st but if you like more of Mickey minnie,rail ride,horse ride,including fun rides then go with Disneyland visit 1st. My recommendation- Disneyland 1st! Difficult to cover both the parks in 1 day, so if you have just 1 day with hopper option-do the best ones based on waiting times else break your journey in 2 days. Overall its nice 1 time experience!

The Happiest Place on Earth has sadly become an expensive outdated relic surviving off good marketing to round up crowds. Fast lane tickets are essentially just a waiting queue that can easily be 2 hours long. You can spend a whole day here just waiting in lines for a couple of rides. Kids up to 9 years old might still be impressed. The fireworks display was lovely, but beware of those directing people as you can lose your family as I did in the commotion. You have some compassionate staff in those instances, and others who could care less if you are trying to reunite with your young family members. Overated is an understatement.

Ahhh... theres nothing like the feeling you get being at Disneyland. Its exactly as I remember.... except for absolutely everything you must do before you enter the park... Reservations, Prepaid tickets at double the price, and Security.Reservations: Gone are the days of waking up the kids at 3:00 a.m. with a spontaneous Disneyland trip. Tickets must be prepaid. When you go to the Disney official site, it shows you a price of $94. Fine. *click. Then, it prompts you to choose a date. Excuse me? Choose my date? Oh and which park do I want to enter first?Say again? I cant change parks until 11:00 a.m? Ok. Fine. *click.Whoa. $198. Apparently, the mandatory reservation is $100... (If its mandatory, why not begin with $198?I dont like feeling scammed at the official Disneyland site.Security: All of your basic human rights are stripped as you enter Disney Land. The security is more thorough than TSA at LAX. As you are walking towards the gate, I looked on as numerous K9 Officers roamed freely through the approaching crowd.Signs prompt visitors to open all enclosures, of all bags. With a smile, you wait while (what can only be described as a deep dive cavity search) they search through your belongings with a fine-tooth comb. Im not really sure, but I doubt theres a weapon in my lipstick case. Which I was summarily interrogated about my having money there.I dont remember giving up my right to privacy, having to explain why I had $2 in my lipstick case seemed a little intrusive, even for Disneyland security.After you get through security and through the line trader Park, everything else is the same, plus so much more!The overall atmosphere is the same wonderful feeling I remember every time I stepped onto Main Street.Its the feeling of Disneyland.

This is absolutely a magical place to visit. Customer service is above and beyond with rides, food, and drinks equally great. The only reason this is at a 4 star is the amount of people in the park. I visited on a Tuesday during down season in March, and the crowds in the afternoon and evening were horrible.For a one time visitor it makes it almost impossible to see/do everything in the park in a day, which may be by design, but so disappointing. As a California resident (without a pass) this was a little disappointing and lets be honest, who can really stay happy when you have swarms of people cutting you off or packing in front and around you.Still, if long wait times and crowds of people dont bother you, its a great place.Id love to visit again, but only if it was a little less crowded.

So much better than I expected. As a family from the UK we have visited Disney World Florida lots of times but this was our first visit to Disneyland. I know the castle is a little underwhelming but trust me, there are so many rides here that are superior to their Florida counterparts with Space Mountain and Pirates of the Carribbean topping the list. The water and lights show at California Adventure is unmissiable (definitely see the second showing as the crowds are halved). 4 day park hopper ticket is a must. Yes its a long way to travel from the UK but give it a go. You wont be disappointed.

We had a great day at Disneyland and there were a few things that helped it go better than expected.1) Download the Disneyland app. Its your key for everything. You can be signed into the same account on multiple devices so if one phone dies you have a backup. (Or bring a portable charger.)2) If you can afford it, the Genie pass will save you time in line and in turn get you on more rides. It allows you to reserve a time where your line wait will be significantly shorter than the standby line.3) Star Wars Rise of the Resistance is one of, if not, the most popular ride(s) there. The line will be long all day, so your best bet is to hoof it straight there to start your day. You cannot reserve a time with the Genie pass for this ride so everyone waits in the same line. We arrived when the gates opened and there was already a 45 minute wait when we got to it. Within 5 minutes of us getting in line the time jumped to a 70 minute wait. For most of the day it will be between 80 and 120 minute wait. The ride is a blast so I would highly recommend you do it. Smugglers Run is also a lot of fun and you can use the Genie pass for that one.4) If you want to save money, bring your own water bottle and snacks. I carried my backpack around all day and it was not a problem getting anywhere or taking it on rides.5) If you have a young kid who fits in a stroller, bring a stroller for them. We saved our five year old about 12,000 steps and he lasted much longer because of it. There is stroller parking by every ride.6) Wear comfortable shoes. We walked about 7-8 miles in the 11 hours we were there.Hope you have a great time!

Just wow. We go to Walt Disney World multiple times each year. I found Disneyland to be so much better than Magic Kingdom. Meant more things to see and do. And, if the same attractions are at both parks, the Disneyland versions are just so much better. Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Big Thunder Mountain are all so much better than their counterparts in Florida. The attention to detail and the many (much better quality) quick service restaurants available in Disneyland, when compared to Magic Kingdom, put the Florida park to shame.

As a Worlder who had always heard Land was cute or huggable, let me say... I am a Land person now! It is so spontaneous! We flew in on a weekday. We did Downtown Disney and stayed on property, then hit the ground running the next morning. We saw everything in 3 days. EVERYTHING. You do NOT have to be on your phone the whole time trying to book LL/Geanie+ rides! They only allow reservations for those passes once youre physically scanned into the park, and you can literally walk on to the classics early in the day (before 11am). We did buy Geanie+, but it was only used maybe 2x/d. Thank GOD its not a gambit of clicking and running and guess well rest when were dead feeling. We even went back to the hotel to change and rest midday, without any feeling of FOMO or loss. Magical.I had never been to Land, and now Ive been twice in 8 months! Both times WITHOUT my teen kids! Ha! Trip 1 was a 2-day spouse date, trip 2 was a 3 day retirement present for my dad, and we had the best time being retired from education together in the happiest place on earth. (Do 2 days Land, 1 DCA, unless you just love big rides. Even then, just get park hopper tickets.)If youre a Walt nerd or travelling with one for something special, I really reccomend the Walts Main Street Story Tour. This is an adult-centered nostalgic tour where you really feel the love and care (and a bit of the I cant believe we only have 365 days to get this massive project done urgency to the build). Its a once in a lifetime kind of tour for a I could live here kind of place.

My recent visit to Disneyland left me with mixed feelings, warranting a 2-star review. And its not why you think. The long lines have always been a tremendous issue for patrons. Thats not what bummed me out.The initial shock of having to pay $26 extra to ride Rise of the Resistance, on top of the steep $215 entry fee, was disheartening. The inability to simply access Disneyland and the enforced purchase of a park hopper pass felt restrictive and contrary to Walt Disneys original vision of affordable entertainment. If anyone cares. Its as if the parks pricing structure has morphed into something resembling a visit to a luxury store rather than a whimsical amusement park.Despite the anticipation, many of the rides I hoped to enjoy were either closed or plagued with technical issues, even after using the lightning pass option. This led to unexpected costs and a sense of disillusionment. The exorbitant prices for food and beverages only added to the frustration—$20 for a extra sugar coke (Disney gets a special recipe syrupz Im told) and lackluster meal hardly seemed worth the expense. Even worse, the quality of the food left much to be desired, with soggy fries and rock-hard sourdough bread bowls being the norm.Adding insult to injury, the struggle to find a functional charging station for my phone exacerbated the inconvenience caused by the parks reliance on apps and the internet. Dead by noon. Thanks. While I encountered a few helpful staff members, the overall atmosphere felt increasingly impersonal and lacking in the legendary Disney magic. Despite the kindness of some cast members, the absence of iconic attractions like the bobsleds and Thunder Mountain further diminished the experience.The decision to charge an additional $26 for Rise of the Resistance felt like a blatant attempt to extract more money from already paying customers—a move that seemed more focused on profit than on providing a memorable experience. Considering the inflated costs and limited ride availability, I cant envision returning to Disneyland anytime soon. The promised $94 experience turned out to be a far cry from reality, leaving me disappointed and disillusioned.

Definitely go in the single riders line, as that cut the wait time from 2.5 hours to 30 minutes. The ride is amazing. It is exhilarating with its speed and the feel of the wind in your hair, but not too scary, as there are no steep drops. The best part though is the attention to detail on the animatronics. They look life like and its by far the most impressive display of that kind of machinery Ive ever seen, from the way their mouths move to how shockingly good their eyes look for being a projection. 10/10 ride, no notes.

Happiest place on earth...? More like a little slice of hell on earth. The most overcrowded, overpriced, underwhelming and outdated amusement park ive ever been to, by a large margin. I had very fond memories of visiting here in my youth, and wanted my kids to have a similar experience. Instead we stood in line for well over 90% of the time we were there, despite buying the genie pass and spending nearly $1,000 for one day. Only a lunatic would think this was enjoyable, or even acceptable. The food was subpar and expensive. On the plus side, the staff were great. Super helpful and very friendly. A FEW of the rides were mildly enjoyable, but overall it was something an extreme Disney fanatic (or the mentally deranged) could tolerate.

I LOVE Disneyland!!!! Being here feels like your in a whole different world. I love the different areas and themes. You never run out of things to do! I recommend at least 2-3 days to be able to experience most of the park. There is A LOT of walking to do. My biggest complaint is I feel like they allow too many people in the park. It was so packed full of people you are literally shoulder to shoulder and trying not to walk on other peoples heels. The wait times are outrageous for most rides! If you want to ride something other than little kiddos rides, be prepared to wait upwards of an hour to 3 hours per ride! There is literally a wait and line for EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO DO HERE! Security, tickets, Rides, food, drinks, and yes even the restrooms! We spent 3 days here and still didnt get to do everything. There were also multiple times with multiple rides that would temporarily be closed throughout the day which got frustrating.

It definitely is a great place to take your kids and the family.Keeping it real; expect to spend 10 hrs a day per day you are here and to spend about $150-250 in addition to tickets. Your kids will want food and will want to get souvenirs etc.Best times for rides: before 10AM and after 10PM if we are being real. That’s when you can get on whatever you want with minimal wait. Otherwise you will be in line for 2+ hrs. I didn’t do the genie + but we got to ride in most things during those times.You can bring your own snacks and water to save on costs. It is recommended.Download the Disney App and use it. It will help with finding rides and ordering food online. It does get busy but it’s manageable during the day. Also, temporarily unavailable doesn’t mean it won’t be available later. Some rides get serviced or maintenance so be on the look out for quick changes and get in line asap when they open up.Bring comfy shoes and a backpack if possible. You are going to walk. And start lifting now because you are going to have to carry your babies by the end of the night.Have a blast! I know we did.

There were hardly any disney characters walking around. The Star Wars character Storm troopers were down right rude and refused to pose for a picture. If they cant pose for pictures why have them. Otherwise, they do nothing to heighten the Disneyland pleasure experience. Lots of attractions and rides for all ages, theres definitely always something to do. The wait times for pretty much everything is long though. At least one hour for rides, there are some exceptions, but be prepared for long lines. Prices are really high for most things. For food expect to pay $15-20 for adults and $10-15 for children per person. You can bring your own snacks to try and minimize your spending, but check with park guidelines for what you can and cannot bring. Overall, great place for the family to visit. Who wouldnt give Disneyland 5 stars? Its a magical place, full of magical experiences. I recommend getting the Disney Genie+ with your park passes - the lightening lane opportunities are great, but I really LOVED the photo pass! There are lots of different locations all over the parks to get your photo taken and its uploaded into your Disney app. They are some of our favorite keepsakes for sure! We also got to visit during the end of September, so Halloween decorations were in full-force and it was really cool to see everything dressed up differently. Plus so most restaurants, cafes, dessert stations, drink carts etc. all had special Halloween dishes or take-home containers. The app is great for booking reservations at restaurants on site - although I suggest doing that a few months before going to the park because they fill up quickly. On the app you can also add some must-dos or favorites to your list and it will help plan out your day and guide you towards some rides that have lower wait times etc. A highlight of this trip: We went to the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure at the Grand Californian Disney Hotel & Spa one morning, and it was absolutely amazing!! I would highly recommend taking in that experience if you can get tickets. The food is first class, and you get the opportunity to spend time (and get photos) with at least 6 different princesses while there. The ticket comes with free valet parking at the hotel, which is a really nice touch.

We went Friday Jan 19th and it was a black out date for members. Had so much room to move around and short lines. Great place to be at try some tasty snacks. Disneyland as always is amazing and beautiful! Some nit picks though I wish they told us the fireworks werent gonna go off due to wind so we didnt sit for three hours waiting to get a good spot and freeze our butts off. The character experiences and the atmosphere as always is just magical. Though the rides like haunted mansion had a lot of stopping and sitting and quite a few rides broke down while we were there. Not to mention some of the projection effects and even effects like in Pinocchio or the tunnel in Space Mountain were broken or looked really bad. All of the cast members were kind and friendly. Kind of sucks that you have to make a reservation places and you cant go and walk in to eat anywhere anymore you have to order an hour ahead of time or make a reservation if you want to eat somewhere. What Im saying is you cant eat when youre hungry anymore unless you want a churro or a corn dog for dinner. Also you couldnt find Mickey sillohet shaped waffles anywhere! Thats my favorite Disney food!!!! We had to go to the service counter (I forget the name of the place) at the California Grand Hotel. Besides that we still had a ton of fun. I miss it and wish I was still there. Post Disney Depression really hits when youre back in the real world. Tomorrowland DESPERATELY needs an update. We spent Christmas at Disneyland and it kept to its charm. A cast member helped us find a bench on Main Street to watch the parade. We enjoyed a show from the Dapper Dans and even some fake snow when leaving the park. Most days were jammed with people from overbooking tickets. But Christmas wasn’t as busy and families were just happy to be there. The app, lighting lanes and dinner reservations are a must. The parade was wonderful as well as the train ride. Parking is expensive at $35 per day. Not sure if Uber would be a better deal. We had someone in our group who has panic attacks so we got a DAS pass. The DAS pass is a great help to get through the long lines. If you are looking for a magical experience talk to a custodial cast member. They can make magic happen but make sure you get celebrating buttons at the City Hall. Plan your favorite rides during the fireworks and parade times to decrease wait time. Bring snacks and drinks to save money. Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, Rise of the Resistance and Haunted Mansion are favorites. If you have problems with 3D rides, be careful on Rise of the Resistance, Smugglers Run, Star Tours, Space Mountain, etc. If you are a Star Wars nerd, Galaxies Edge is awesome. Plan to watch fireworks at the millennium falcon instead of the castle. Olga’s Cantina is great. They do jam pack people and some people have to stand. Ask for a booth with a view of the DJ for the best experience. They removed Fantasmic but have a water show with some jazzy frogs. All the Christmas decor is great. Make sure to bring some battery packs for phones as you will need the app for everything and you will want to take lots of photos. We averaged 23,000 steps per day. If you can’t do that, there are mobility scooters available across the park. My biggest complaint is that there were too many people there on most days and cast members were often exhausted. Prices are on the rise and most products are duplicated throughout the park. Character breakfasts are your best bet if you are wanting personal and meaningful character interactions. Breakfasts are expensive, plan to pay $50/person. If with a group, have each member wait in a different line to get multiple of the breakfast item for everyone. This will allow you all to eat together and to allow your food from going cold. Or if you don’t care about the food, eat ahead of time and just spend your time meeting characters.

I have so much to say about disneyland. Firstly, we know disney world really well but this was our first time to land. I heard park hopper for 3 days... I wish we would have just done full days 2 of each because there was so much to do and it was so crowded for February. We are used to disney crowds...but because of it being smaller it felt more congested and lines did feel longer even with a DAS pass. Disney land has it all which is really cool. The castle may be underwhelming but my kids loved they could run through it to see the sleeping beauty story and we ran through it 3x. In fantasy land I absolutely love the alice in wonderland ride and snow white ride. The boys loved Mr toads wild ride and thought it was the best. I loved that we could see characters but my kids are little and too timid to push past people like others do so they didnt get any interaction with the characters and when they did cast members would say walking and talking keep moving which made me so sad. I like how disney world meet and greets are and you get a few minutes to spend with them any way you want.I loved how star wars land was there too which was great and rise of the resistance is one of the absolute best rides. FANTASTIC PLACE!!! FREINDLY Cast members willing to go the entire that extra mile to enhance your visiting pleasure(s). The park is kept very clean. There is something for everyone, no matter how old you may be.However, there is room for improvement:Parking - I was parked at Donald Duck 3G. Clearly marked on the parking structure. However, what is missing and desperately needs to be annotated is what level this location is.Because it said 3G, I thought it was on the third level. So I went to the third level, which is Mickie Mouse level. Since my family and I spent over 12 hours at the park, it was very difficult for me and the wife to walk up two flights of stairs. We were dead dog tired.What needs to be in place is a sign where the escalators are clearly marked where each level is and what escalator to use.Next, there are few and far between water fountains in the park. NOT EVERYONE wants to pay $5.50 for a bottle of water. Especially when it gets warmer and warmer as the day wears on.Signage is needed describing your location and where you want to go. This will help prevent you from walking aimlessly. There was a time when this was the case, but no longer, Im sorry to say.Next, an increase of places where you can sit down to rest. There are places that have benches and outside places to eat where you might find a table to rest, even places where you sit along the boarders of the landscape, however, when you have a lot of people in the park with you, it is like musical chairs where there are only 3 chairs left and a 100 people competing against you. The park is designed to keep people moving, I understand this. But, being 68 years old, I can say I can only move so fast for so long before I need to sit and rest.Lastly, restrooms 🚻, they need to be prominent and clearly marked. Be it on a Disneyland map or signage as in sign posts.Make these changes, and I would be dancing in the clouds singing Disney toons. ❤️❤️❤️

For the very first time in my life I got the magic key pass in Jan 2023 along with some friends and I felt nervous at first but it was definitely worth waiting in the queue to purchase it. After that, I immediately reserved the first date to go to the park for the following week. I havent been to Disneyland in over 20+ years but it didnt matter I just couldnt wait to go with friends and family. As soon as I stepped foot inside the park I couldnt wait to try my first Churro in over 20 plus years plus an iced cold sprite to go with it (Dont judge me until you try it yourself). And let me tell you how crazy the mind works because as soon as I took that first bite, it took me back to the last time I was there 20 years ago! Love it! Star Wars Galaxys Edge is my favorite, along with the parades that pass through main street, the firework show at night, The fantasmic water projection show before it got cancelled and all of the other endless attraction. Oh and California adventure is a whole different experience on its own! Overall 10/10 experience. Food is 9.5/10.**Warning** I dont know if youll feel this but as soon as you turn from Ball Rd into the street that takes you to the parking structure there is an adrenaline rush that you might get because of the excitement!

We really liked this one. 2 adults 2 older teenagers in a deluxe studio wasn’t terrible. The second bed pulls out of the wall and collapses the couch. Additional short bar stools along a fair size breakfast bar the length of one wall made a great place to sit and snack. A vacation in LA this Summer brought me to Disneyland Theme Park. The park is huge, one day is not enough for you to truly enjoy this magical place. I adore meeting the characters and taking photos with them. I loved the rides, enjoyed the parade, and was amazed at the fireworks.If you want to save time, maximize the places to visit and rides to take, and get your money’s worth, here are a couple of tips: 1) buy your tickets online, it can save time from the long queue at the ticket booths which take hours; 2) download the Disneyland app on your phone. This app is your AI buddy to know attractions, activities in different locations, the places to visit, the wait times for rides, and order food online. It also shows the map location and guides your mobility at the park; 3) Genie Plus is a paid skip-the-line service where guests are allowed to go through a special lane avoiding queue for an additional fee of $25.00. I loved the Genie Plus service as it helped us maximize our time for the fun rides, watch shows, and park attractions.All staff are helpful. Steve, the Disneyland Railroad Conductor was awesome. He is the only friendly staff who tirelessly shares a big smile with everybody. He willingly shared with us about the rides he loved and some tips to fully enjoy. The park is clean and well kept including the washrooms. The downside is the expensive ticket price and the long line for the rides.A thrilling day full of fun and excitement to be in fantasyland. It brings out the child in me.

How do you even rate Disneyland!? Ill give a general note for planning but focus on the app. You need to determine the most important goal for your trip. If you want to factor in time for parades, sit down dining, character interactions, or you have a large group of people, you need to go more than one day. If you only have one day, let go of the fact you wont see everything and just enjoy what you can. If theres two of you and you want to run through the park, have at it! And for those with littles, prep for nap time.Each ride is 20 to 45 mins so you will spend the bulk of your day in line. One good thing is you can grab a snack on your way to another ride and eat it in line if you dont want to lose time sitting to eat. I wont give you all the tips and tricks, there are plenty of Disney blogs out there.Heres my rating for the app and why. First Its important to know there is a Disney Genie and a Disney Genie plus.. below is my thoughts on the Genie plus(+)For context: At each ride there is a standby lane(general line) or a Lightening Lane(fast pass using your Genie+)You can use your Lightening pass one at a time. Schedule your first ride the moment you get in the park. Once the pass is redeemed(used), you can immediately schedule your next.Pros: Using the lightning pass is great to get in a shorter line and shave off your wait time to get on a ride. (Pro tip Matterhorn Bobsleds best lightning pass line for sure).I also loved being able to take advantage of the Disney photo pass. At specific locations in the park you can have the Disney crew take photos with some really great cameras, in front of the castle. Those are ours to keep at no additional cost. We got some great photos! I heard the Disney trivia wiz can be useful for waiting in line, but I never tried it as I wanted to conserve my battery.Cons: Many of the lightning lanes did not take you to the front of the standby lines so although shorter, we still waited 20 mins. Also half of our rides were temporarily unavailable or cancelled all day. Its important to keep in mind this technology is expected to run every single day. Things break or need maintenance. So there is the risk you take(we took) when half your day is spent chasing a new ride or lightning pass because they keep going down. I reached out very kindly in the Genie chat about this and was told passes are non-refundable. I asked if there was a possibility we could transfer our pass to another day (they were $30 per person per day!) They kindly suggested we use the Disney trivia wiz to kill time. Ultimately no.So if you plan to mosey through the park, I wouldnt spend the extra money on the Genie+ for one or two fast passes. Definitely take advantage of the Disney Genie only. This part of the app is really helpful in telling you how long the ride lines are expected to be, where the characters, bathrooms, food etc. But its free.Additional thoughts, bring a power bank. I had my phone in airplane mode most of the day and still managed to get down to 40% before mid day. Be patient, bring sunscreen, enjoy a Dole whip and have fun!

Nice clean rooms. Its out third visit. The rooms are accurate to the photos and description. Room service food was decent.The service was great.The bed and pillows were very comfortable.Unfortunately, The water pressure is horrible and the water in the sink doesnt get very hot. Do if you shave dont bother bringing your razor.This time we stayed in the Adventure Tower with the downtown Disney view. We had a corner room. It was a great spot/view at night. You could see the Disney park to the left along with the fireworks. To the left you could California adventure, ferris wheel, swings, other rides ect.We did have a building roof in our view but it was decorated to look like a baseball diamond which was better than looking at a dirty roof. Make sure to ask for a high floor otherwise palm trees will block your view.

We were walking in and were told by security that we were not permitted to bring our Jeep Wrangler Stroller Wagon into Disneyland. I had my two kids in it (one who was celebrating their 4th birthday), but was asked to remove them from the wagon and rent one of the parks strollers for $35. After running back to my car with the wagon and some other belongings, I lost about an hour total and ran about 3 miles before even entering the park. The whole park experience was crowded, and the first ride we chose (Alice in Wonderland) broke down after waiting 30 minutes in line. The kids favorite rides were Haunted Mansion and Meeting Mickey Mouse. Later, we saw others with the same type of Jeep Wrangler Stroller Wagon inside the park. The security guard told us that people YouTube what to say so they can get away with using them. I think there should be some sort of PSA regarding the hazard of wagon type strollers if it is truly a hazard.I will add that upon entering, we rode the horse-drawn trolley to the front of Snow Whites Castle and a Fairy offered to push our stroller for us. The magic lives on due to the happy and hard-working staff at the Resort.

I love DLand! The new Star Wars world is fantastic, and their newest ride is AMAZING. Wait times were not terrible, but it was crazy packed for a Tuesday in January. My only gripe is that the Indiana Jones ride kept breaking down so it was closed most of the day. Haunted Mansion was closed too, but we knew that in advance. Definitely get the Genie+ pass to get on rides quicker -- and you get access to photographers all over the park to take free pics! Just remember to bring lots of money for food and merchandise...you will need it. Still the happiest place on Earth though...worth the $$$

Disneyland resort...so much to do so little time. Disneyland is the place Ive been to as a child, and where I took my little ones when they were small to see the magic and fantasy. Fast forward to today, kids are all grown and we went back to the parks to enjoy the many updated attractions, and new additions. Yes.. its expensive but worth every moment when you see the entire family smiling and making memories. We did Disneyland from 7 am to Midnight and took advantage of the Genie+ services (almost a must if you plan to do everything). We recently went to celebrate Disneys 100 years of Magic and the park looked beautiful. Be prepared for crowds and walking but the atmosphere and beauty of the park is enough to make the day pleasant and magical. A true gem to Southern CA and a must visit location if you ever visit Los Angeles. With plenty of Hotels on and off the properties. And plenty of parking. Restaurants to accommodate each palate, and plenty of attractions for all ages.

On my birthday, my partner surprised me with a trip to a place I hadnt visited in about 20 years. It was an amazing experience, especially at the Guardians of the Galaxy ride/area where characters roam around. The experience is great! I would suggest to buy the ticket in advance and buy a genie to allow you to reserve the ride while waiting for another. I would recommend to stay in one area and take all the rides as much as you can. But if you have chosen a ride in opposite area, you should take Disney Railroad, it will take you to different area of Disneyland. My kids and I were able to take 11 rides. Whats not to love about Disney? Ive been there many times, but this was my first time back in about 8 years. My adult son and I liked the Lightning Lane Genie service. The app is easy to use and fortunately lasted all day (12 hours for us). The new to us rides were fantastic and I was surprised how much the crowds dropped as soon as the sun went down. The mobile food ordering is easy to use and quick. We liked it. Ogas Cantina was awesome!! Tasty drinks and excellent service. Tropical Hideaway (I think its called) in Adventureland was great for food. We each had a tasty Bao. Disneyland is pricey, but I feel like we got our moneys worth.

It’s Disneyland :) I enjoyed the rides and scenery while getting steps in. I’ve went several times this year and finding that lines seem to be shorter for many rides (genie app is awesome as a tool to planning your day). I finally got to ride haunted mansion while it’s changed for Christmas! Usually it’s a 2 hour wait and this time it was unusually quick! Like 30 mins or less! I also love the Starwars rise of the resistance despite not being a Star Wars fan (I know.). I appreciate the work of the people who create the ideas and also execute them for our enjoyment. Fireworks are always 🔥and it’s just great to come at least once in a lifetime. They keep updating things and it’s a sense of camaraderie. Churros. Also park hopped and enjoyed the new scenes of the San Franskoyo Square. It was prob the busiest area 😆 - feel immersed in this “world” from any age!

Not what it used to be, it was extremely crowded for a normal weekday and the lines are crazy. Yes, we had the Genie+, you can’t use it on all rides, you have many restrictions on how and when to use, it is pretty annoying to be scheduling and running from place to place that way, and it takes away the fun of it all. I have gone to Disneyland since I was little and this is one of my favorite places in the world, just to walk around is so fun, or should I say, was fun. You can’t even walk anymore there, I am not exaggerating, it is extremely crowded and it is almost impossible to have fun. The rides where we had to make a line were huge and its annoying to see adults smooching in front of you, Disney is becoming un kid friendly, our experience was couples just all over one another. The rides are mostly all the same, no major changes, just some rides closed for renovation or whatnot, but it is the same Disneyland, which is nice. The downer is the big crowds and the employees that look so miserable, they often complain in front of us and it was just uncomfortable as we are trying to have family fun and paid a lot to do it. Food is not great, overpriced and the only restaurants that might be good priced and good are fully booked, at this point just take your own sandwiches and drinks. Just know that it is expensive, everything has a line to be made, even statues in Main Street, and you have to make a line to take pictures almost anywhere, which was shockingly funny to me. But yes, everything in Disneyland has a price tag and a line, time goes really fast in there, just waiting and waiting… and waiting! By the way the Disney app sucks and we had to wait in a line for employees to schedule our events because their app was just having problems, a lot of people were having a hard time scheduling their rides, Genie+ sucks and the entire process does too, it was horrible and a lot of waste of time.

Love going to Disneyland! Its always been a fun time for me and now my wife, who went for the 1st time, loves this place too. You can get a free 1st time pin from a cast member or other fun celebrating pins too.We got on 22 rides in our whole day there, 3 of them twice, saw 2 shows, ate at 2 places in the park, and got some goodies to take home with us. We did have the Genie plus pass purchased, which did help on the popular attractions. With that we also, stopped to take photos with the photographers around the park and saw some of our favorite characters! Using the app helps when looking at wait times, if rides are down, lightning line reservations, ordering food and so much more. We did visit for only a day and we wanted to so much more, so well be back Disney!Make sure to see the new Mickey and Minnies runaway railroad ride at some point. The ride might have moments when its temporarily down, but it was worth it, along with so many other rides.

It had been several years since we last visited Disneyland. It was really amazing!The star wars stuff was so fun! We got to ride Pirates twice; Small World, Materhorn Bobsled & Haunted mansion once. My bestie & I rode the carousel, Toads Wild ride, and a couple others right before the park closed. It was amazing!

As a pass holder we frequent the park regularly. Let me say its a lot of fun and just overall a great experience, just the crowds can be a major turn off. At times its nigh impossible to comfortably get anywhere due to the sheer amount of people and lines for rides can back up pretty badly. With that being said as long as you come in with a plan and are okay with sacrificing certain things for your experience its always a good time. The rides are a classics the food is always fun and the seasonal experience always has us coming back for more. Just be prepared to wait and stand and also spend. Theres always something or another to really dig into your wallet. So if anything just temper expectations of being perfectly magical and just enjoy the environment and park for what they are! A great place to spend the day and enjoy yourself despite the crowds.

We had a wonderful day at California Adventure and Disneyland, but Disneyland definitely let us down with several rides not operational due to breakdowns. Mickeys Runaway Railroad, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain Railroad were all down most of the day. Cast members are not as engaging and helpful as they once were. When we asked where to locate a Lightning Lane entrance, the cast member there did not look up from the phone or device and just pointed (a no-no of Disney service) toward the direction we needed to go. Park restrooms were not in good condition regarding cleanliness. We have been going to Disney parks for years and years, and this trip (November 2023) revealed the lessening service and engagement by the Disney cast. The BIG disappointment was 2 minutes after the fireworks were supposed to begin (park was darkened and people were standing round ready and waiting) l, they canceled the show and played a brief video on the side of walls around the castle and Main Street area. It was like we had been invited to visit, but they were not ready to host. The Christmas decorations were up, but they were not opulant...seems to be less excitement overall. Not sure we will do Disneyland again soon. We may stick with the Florida parks for a while. We did enjoy our visit but also had a lot of disappointment along the way. We recommend the Web Slingers ride!

I had a great time with my family. This was the first time Ive been there for Christmas. I really enjoyed all the Christmas lights. I did think it was a little strange that after 10:00pm on Christmas Eve all the rides started breaking down. It started with the Haunted Mansion so we went to use our Genie+ pass on Thunder Railroad it was not working either followed by Indiana Jones and Space Mountain, we spent the last two hours of Christmas Eve standing in lines and not getting on any rides.

I have been going to Disneyland since it opened. I love going but the corporate greed exhibited by the Disney corporation has made it impossible to enjoy it as fully as I have in the past. I paid $25 for what use to be free fast passes. Then $25 just to get on one of the Star Wars rides. Neither is necessary if you don’t mind spending 75 minutes in line for a 5 minute ride multiple times throughout the day. The food was mediocre at best but breakfast with the characters still cost $110 for 2 adults. The buffet breakfast foods were dreadful. The service was fantastic! There were not as many people in the park as I have experienced in the past but the over crowding was still scarily too much. The parking was $30. Why should it be that high? It is gouging, plain and simple. But…you can spend $50 and get preferred parking. My friend did and his car was 5 rows away from mine. Take your children somewhere that doesn’t expose them to crass commercialism, too many people crowded on top of each other, too much loud noise, and exhausted parents worn out from the same.

The Genie pass for lightning lane is not always worth it because the waits are still so long. Small kids waiting in 60+ minute lines... Can be challenging for their attention spans. Rides and Genie are not very efficient. It can be a waste of money, especially if you add the 2 park hopper. There was no one in many of the Genie lines, and you could only use the Genie during your 2 or 3 reserved slots. Both parks are very small in comparison to Disney World Orlando.

7/24/2023Ive been to Disney World 100s of times, and I should say Im a cast member, but Disneyland has a unique feel and crams a lot in a small space. We are done with one day of our two day journey so Ill need to update with details from California Adventure.Disneyland has two rides that I prefer their version over Orlandos: Space Mountain and Its a Small World. Space Mountain is smoother and has a side by side riders configuration. Its a Small World starts outside allowing the white building to shine in the sun. I also like the perspective during the ride. The elevated boat made me feel more in the scene whereas Orlandos I feel like Im passing by.We had tasty treats and rode many of the rides. It was a hot day and the park, here and Orlando, doesnt do a great job of protecting from the heat. If asked, the restaurants would give cups of ice water.Night time is where its at. The park is beautiful at night. I can see where Walt was inspired by Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.

Returning to Disneyland after a long absence, things have certainly changed. 1. You now have to make reservations using their app for the day.. Really? Im old school, luckily my daughter had the app to make reservations to the restaurant. While the kids were in line for 60 mins plus for Indiana Jones, me & hubby went to the Tiki Tiki bird show. Wanted to buy a Dole Whip, but I was told Mobile order pick up only! and was directed to another location for cash payment! Stood in line for Pirates for 45 minutes only to reach the last leg before boarding the boats. Suddenly, we were told they were shutting down the ride.My last stop, my favorite desert place, the Carnation Cafe. We entered only to be turned away because they only accepted mobile check ins.Disneyland has lost its magical experience, and as to their statement, the friendliest place on earth, well thats flown the coup too! I realized Disneyland was no longer a place of enjoyment for me, yet the kids of tomorrow seem to adjust nicely to the new technology demands. Sadly, the Disneyland that Ive loved & enjoyed of the past is gone for our age group. Its app has replaced genuine customer service. I was wondering if Walt Disney would approve of these changes, but I doubt it. 🤔
