I have been coming here for years. They have always been quick and easy with great customer service. They have plenty of inventory of different styles and tires to choose from, and great warranties as well. Edward helped me out today, and I’m really happy with my new tires (and windshield wipers)!

Also known as Americas Tire. Clean facilities, very helpful staff. No matter where you are they take care of you. Fix flats,new tires, rims. NO alignment. Go back every 5-6 thousand miles for free tire rotation and balance. Nothing to say but good things about this company. Lifelong customer.

Dropped my car off around 12 noon, stating that I had AAA pump up my tire 5 minutes away so I could drive over, as I was sure I had a flat. The person helping me said they would get me helped by 1:55pm, which I felt was really long considering how many people are working versus 2 people waiting. At 2pm, I asked the supervisor about my car....to which he apologized and said they must have forgotten to tell me it was done.I was called to the counter, where they said I could buy a new tire but patching it wouldnt be possible. After considering my options, I did a price match...which is when the guy helping me had a full change of attitude. He then told me he would accept the price change but that my new price wasnt even legit, since it was for a used tire and not a new tire. I showed him 3 places on the website, where it has said new tire, not that it even mattered. I left paying a little under $200 and being in there 3 hours.Also, I left my very plain Travelers cup in the lobby. I had a friend call to see if they could hold it for me, but they told me it wasnt there. I called back 2 minutes later and thankfully she supervisor apologized to me and said he was trying to wave me down, while I left, so I didnt forget it, when he was on a phone call.

Just disappointed. Been going here years and this last time may have just been my last. Went in for a tire rotation and was told to make an appointment or wait and leave my car. Well no Im not leaving my car for a 3 hr wait. Call me when it gets closer and Ill right over. Nope, wont do that leave it or make an appointment. Ok fine Ill make an appointment. I get to my appointment just to have the kid tell me they WONT rotate my tire because theyre too low on tread, wont make a difference, but I suggest buying new ones Seriously?! I just wasted my Saturday afternoon to be told this? Why didnt the first guy check this out before hand? I could have kept my plans with my family intact that day. I was only in town for the week.Lazy and rude guys.

Ive been buying my tires there for several years. Appointments are available. They offer free tire pressure checks. The technician explains whats going on with my tires. Very helpful. Theres usually a line of the or four cars waiting for the air pressure check. Its worth the wait.

I stopped in for the free tire air check. it was so easy and Obed provided great service.i had some tire related questions. he answered all my questions and was knowledgeable and patient. i dont need tires just yet - but when i do i will come here.there was zero pressure and no gimmicky sales tactics. he was honest and let me know i dont need tires just yet but keep checking.

I had a tire patched there a year ago and they were friendly and quickly fixed the problem.I recently had them put 4 new tires on our Tesla Model 3 and they happily matched an online store for prices on the tires. I was in at the appointed time and also out in the scheduled hour.They do get busy so make an online reservation to save some time.

These guys are the absolute best!! Ernesto was extremely helpful in making sure my car was in and out in a timely manner as well as giving me all the possible scenarios for repair of a punctured tire. Went to the dealer for a routine check up and they noted a nail in one of the tires but said it couldn’t be repaired and had to be replaced. The Encinitas Discount team took and look and said it was repairable, fixed it, and got me on the road before my next meeting. Big thanks to everyone there for all the help!!

Simply the best experience I’ve ever had. Driving back from San Diego I ran over a nail, 4 hours from home. Every place was closing and I was going to be stranded as I had been turned away from 4 places unwilling to help. My spare was also undrivable even for 1 more mile. They took me in minutes before close and showed the kindest heart I think I’ve ever felt. I only wish I would have taken a picture with them. I’ll never forget you guys. As long as I live I’ll tell the story of this moment. When I have kids I’ll teach them to follow your example of kindness. I’m just so thankful!

We were on vacation and we found a gash in our tire. We took it to this store and Adrian was awesome. He checked all our tires and found another tire that needed to be replaced. He found the tires we needed, and made arrangements for us to come in the next day to get them replaced since we were supposed to drive home the next day. And he worked with the manufacturer to make sure we got the rebate we were due. He helped make sure our vacation plans werent ruined and made sure we had safe tires for our drive home. Well definitely use Discount Tire again when we get back home and I highly recommend this store.

Great service and a great job, every time. They honored the mileage warranty on the 3 year old tires I had purchased there, and then gave me a great deal on another brand of tires I wanted. I made an appointment for installation later that afternoon. Adrian said it might take about an hour. Well, they had the tires mounted, balanced, and installed in about 30 minutes! Back on the road, and now with a much smoother ride! Thanks!🏁

Ive been bringing my vehicles to the Encinitas CA Discount Tires for the past 25+ years and wont be back in a win for Costco.I just walked in to buy tires and stood in line (with no one in front of me) for 15 minutes watching the two guys behind the counter stare at their screens with phones in their hands but not talking. They never even made eye contact. Im pretty sure I could still be standing there now and they wouldnt even know it.Wow. Seems their ftont desk ppl just graduated from an anti-sales program.

Worst staff ever. This location is filled with guys with passive aggressive attitudes. Not helpful at all. I do business with this location constantly and every time I come in I’m met with a rude demeanor. I am not to blame for your shop being busy nor do I have anything to do with other customers so there is no need for the attitude the guys have. Adrian in the only helpful employee in the entire shop. Everyone else gives incorrect information as to when vehicles are to be brought in and when they will be finished. I have had nothing but bad experiences from loosing my wheels to having to wait days for my car to finish.

I am very impressed with this team. I brought in a tire with a huge nail thinking I was about to spend hours of my life and a few hundred dollars to repair this thing. The team took my tire and fixed it overnight, telling me I could come back quickly and they’d pop it on in the morning—all free of charge! When I returned in the am, the line was out the door. I had to head to Orange County for a meeting so I said I would return later that day. Bring that safety is a big concern for them, they said they’d move a couple things around so I didn’t have to drive all the way up there on a spare! I was in and out in 30 mins! That is why I will continue to buy my tires here.**UPDATE**I was just there this morning (Thursday, 12/29/2022) for a flat tire without an appointment. Joe checked me in and was very helpful and friendly. In less than 2 hours I was texted that my car was ready. Greg checked me out. He was pleasant and friendly and thanked me for my business. The repair was FREE, even though I did not buy my tires there (this time). All the staff were running around busy but happy and with a smile. Thank you!!!

You can tell everyone is trained very well and the culture is to do right by the customer. They even told me the torque specs of the wheel lugs, clearly very attentive to details. Super impressed!

I am a mom with 2 little kids and I discovered a screw in my tire of my huge SUV and started freaking out so I came here to see if they could fix it for me. There was a 2.5 hour wait or I could make an appointment for 2 days later! With car seats in my car and no other option, I was in a panic! Thankfully the nicest guy, Will, was the one that helped me and he said he would do the work himself and fix it!! I couldn’t believe it. Within minutes he was taking my tire off and fixing it for me. This place has the best service ever and I could not have felt luckier to have Will help me today!! I can not recommend it enough. If you come make sure you ask for Will!!! He is the best!! This is by far the worst Discount tire I have ever been to. The manager at this location is extremely rude. He mistreats his customers and down talks and degrades the employees working at this location. Their is also another person at this location who treats other workers very badly including cussing at other Im assuming subordinates. I felt real bad for one employee after I heard how the ones in charge disrespect and mistreat the other employees. It is very saddening and troublesome that in 2022 employees are still getting treated horribly. To the upper corporate/management for regions and or districts please look into this as soon as possible. Whether you have to go undercover to get your answers please for the employee who was getting mistreated today upper corporate needs to look into and investigate this issue. I love Discount. Love it. They really know how to put customer service first. I took a tire with a nail in it to them, unsure if the tires had been bought from them (it wasnt my car), and they took the nail out and patched the hole AT NO CHARGE with no questions asked. I love the tire check station they have out front where they check your pressure and fill up if needed... again, at no direct cost.And yes, Ive actually bought tires from them before. Their prices are very competitive and they get the job done fast and efficiently.I really cant think of anything to add that would be a negative. If you drive a car and need tires, definitely give this place a try.

My Service Tire light came on in my car so I did some online research and came to the conclusion that the TPMS sensors had gone out in at least 1 wheel. I ended up buying the sensors online and bringing them to Discount Tire to have them put on. These guys did a turn key job for the bare minimum amount of money. 5 stars! Buying tires at discount tire was very easy and pleasant. When I dropped my car off for its appointment I was quoted 45 minutes. I knew I had one front tire that had not worn well, and visited Discount Tires to replace it. The Service person who waited on my walked out to look at my tires, and pointed out a screw in one of my rear tires. He showed me my options, and it made sense to replace all four tires ( I want to do some exploring of the West coast this summer.) It took around half an hour to install the new tires. Great service and they made me happy.

Best price of all the local tire sellers. Professional and competent from start to finish. Jason answered all my questions on the phone and ordered the tires I wanted for my Prius. On Friday at noon, he told me he could order them and theyd be in the next day before noon. Saturday at 10am he called to tell me that theyd arrived and I could bring my car in at 12:30, and they should be installed in under an hour. I did, the they were done in under 45 minutes. I would be happy to but tires there again.

Discount Tire is the best, here is what makes me say that. It was Saturday evening at 4:18, I had a nail in my tire and I really needed to purchase 4 new tires. I had called Evans and they quoted me a price but couldn’t get the size tire I need for 3 days. I really need it done Now. So I pulled into to discount tire in Encinitas, they had the tires I need in stock, I ask the young man what time they closed, he said 5:00, but we are here till we are done. I really liked his attitude especially when he beat Evens Tires by 28 dollars. He told me that my car will be ready at 6:30 and will send a text when it is ready. I received the text at 6:00 that I could come and get my car.That is what I will always do my business with Discount Tire.They are excellent in every way from price to a great attitude.Thanks Discount. Great service, great prices, nice people. I never go anywhere else. I typically get an appointment, but my daughter hit a curb and destroyed two tires. I showed up at 8AM on Saturday and was out by 8:30AM with 4 reasonably priced tires. They are closed on Sunday so that their employees can be with their families. They could make more money by being open on Sundays, but they dont.

By making an appointment it saved me at least 2 hours of waiting. Jason at Discount Tire was incredible. No unnecessary chit-chat, he took my keys and said your car will be ready within the hour and it was ready in 30 minutes when they were telling other people the wait was 3 to 4 hours. From now on I will always make an appointment and my new tires are amazing. I forgot what a difference it makes to have good tires and the correct pressure. I would never consider going anywhere other than Discount Tire in Encinitas!

Took the rental to Discount Tire, they couldn’t fix the tire because the screw was too close to the tire wall... so they replaced our tire for FREE & told us they wanted us to be able to enjoy our vacation. Why Do You Make An Appointment? To save time. Made an appointment showed up early and was told it should be about a half hour before they could pull me into a bay.I then asked for another appointment for first thing in the morning, any morning you pick, and the response you may still wait for walkins that may have come to Discount Tire between 8 and 8:30. Note: the person stated the first appoint is always at 8:30.This is my first time to this Discount Tire. I have previously been a customer for the 11 years at the Point Loma store. For my wifes car a set of tires is $1,500 and for my truck a set a tires is $2,400 plus tax.Given the inability to schedule an appointment, no matter how far out from today, the appointment time will not be honored, I will most certainly not be returning to Discount Tire.

I was in and out 123 without an appointment. I needed my tires rotated and they also checked the tire pressure. I got quotes for two new front tires and trade ins on the rear tires. I must say its quite costly in comparison to other tire shops. So do your homework. Also I purchased there plan where if you get a flat tire, they fix it for free. If unable to be patched they give you a new tire. So thats totally worth it!!!

I would like for whoever manages this place to write a book. I dont know what kind of compensation system they have in place. But, everyone here is hustling and super friendly.I took a car here with a flat tire on a busy weekend. It was actually the fourth tire service place I went to (including another Discount Tire location). All of the other places had 3 hour or all day wait times to do the repair. I guess this is because there isnt a lot of margin in tire repairs. But, this place found a way to get me in there faster than their estimated time (they were busy also).They patched the tire (it had a screw stuck in it), checked all the tires, replaced the spare and put the spare away neatly. For... $0.00.

I didn’t appreciate the service they have given me. I came in the one day with a flat tire. They adviced me that I repair it, but it will take up to 2 hours. I didn’t mind waiting 2 hours, because they were busy. 2 hours came and my car was still not taken care of. After 5 hours my kar was done, after telling me it would only take two hours. They promised a repair that would last the same as the life of my tire, but it didn’t, it lasted two weeks. To make it worse, they didn’t put the one nut of the tire on right, it was skew. I would never go back there again, worst service ever!

My review is based on customer service, the price was right but when I arrived the guy behind the counter tells me to come up then tells me hang on Im going to get someone and then leaves, 3 more guys walk up who i assumed were supposed to help me, they were busy talking to each other then 2 guys call the people behind me up and the guy who I thought was there for me gets on the phone and is ignoring me so I say hey....I was waiting to be helped, they were helping the people behind me... the guy acts annoyed and says thats why we have the sign that says wait here I said well the guy who called me up here told me he was going to get someone and to wait here!! he reluctantly starts helping me but is looking and talking to his co-workers instead of engaging with me... ( he seems really annoyed)he tells me theres lots of people ahead and Ill be waiting a while plus they close in an hour... which is a bummer since I work near by and I called earlier and they told me it would be no problem to come at 5 I would have come at lunch if it was a problem . he walks to my car with me, gets the tire.... doesnt say anything so I stay by my car, then I see him back at the counter looking for me.... but he never said meet me inside. I come in and again hes acting really annoyed with me... Im assuming all of this was because I notified them that I was waiting to be helped earlier. the whole experience was lame like I was being punished for coming at 5pm and also for speaking up that I was the first in line when they started helping people behind me. very unorganized.

Bought a new set of tires and had to leave for class before they could install them. I have the employee my spare key and asked if I could just pick it up in the evening after they closed and for him to just lock the car and leave the spare key under the driver floor mat and he said it was no problem. I come to pick my car up and the driver window is rolled down and the driver door is unlocked and the spare key is no where to be found. Thankfully nothing appears to be stolen but regardless its very careless and now I have to go back Monday when they open again and hopefully they have my spare key.

I have gone to Discount Tires for years. They have reasonable prices, friendly, knowledgeable staff and I can stop in to have them check my tire pressure anytime. They do tire rotation for free and if I get a flat from a nail or hitting a curb etc they repair it at no extra charge. Thats my kind of people!

You don’t normally feel comfortable at a place that will be working on your car, and to make matters worse, in the midst of a pandemic. Discount Tire Encinitas is a discount place only in name and price. I had a screw in my tire and wandered in and found friendly people, a very safe environment, and they did an excellent job. You don’t normally think of a tire place as an asset to the community, unless you’ve got something sharp sticking out your tire, but Discount Tire helped make a potentially difficult day into a very good day. I have purchased all my tires for multiple vehicles at the Encinitas store for the past 20 years, and have been very happy with their services in the past.Today I awoke to a flat tire and took it to the store. I was told that I had a leaky valvestem and was told that the would not be able to fix the tire since it was 15 years old.John advised me to replace all four tires and offered me 4 tires without the certificates for $286 out the door.Since I am planning on selling the Jeep I didnt want to spend much money and ask him if he could do it for $250.He recommended that I talk to the assistant manager Lan since he would be able to give me a better deal.Lan acted like a total jerk towards me, and told me that he could do two tires at that price and not four.When I imformed him of the previous offer from his colleague he told me that would not honor it.Therefore I drove the Jeep with the flat tire across the street to Evans tires.The manager at Evans tires was very accommodating and offered me four similar tires with road hazard certificates for $300 out the door.Shame on you Lan for mis treating a loyal customer.Moving forward I will take my business to Evans tires.

After bouncing back between Costco and Discount Tire for several years, Ive recently decided to get all my tires at Discount Tire. The one advantage that they have over Costco for me is convenience. It is very close to my place of employment, so I can show up early in the morning in the middle of the week, and my car will have its tires rotated and balanced in no time.Discount Tire will fix tires punctured by screws, nails, and the like, so long as the damage is not done to the side wall. They do it for free, even if you didnt purchase the tires from them. They will also rotate your tires for free.

If I could leave no stars... And ONLY stopped by this company because it was the ONLY option at the time.I stopped by the Discount Tire in Encinitas this afternoon with a flat. An “expert” in tires came out and with a look at the tire decided it was ruined and needed to be replaced. After explaining it was a rental and that it made no sense replacing it he said good luck... I ended up calling AAA and got to the rental where they themselves took it to a competitor of these cats where they proceeded to fix the tire.[ By the way, I drove from Encinitas to Mission Valley with a bad flat, stopping along the way 3X to put air on that tire so that it would literally come off...!!! This put my safety and that of the drivers around me in jeopardy because of the negligence of a second rate company/employee. ]I could have just gone with my day as my time is extremely valuable but this is not the first time this company has tried to use pressure tactics to sell their product. The last time I was there I intended to buy a pair of tires that were advertised with a discount. The salesman advised they were out of that particular tire but could install another comparable brand but without the discount. As I thanked him and proceeded to walk out, he walked out with me and said: “If I happened to have those tires you want, would you buy them?”I laughed in his face and walked away. It was then that I discovered Costco Tire Center. These outfit is truly fantastic — and the customer service is second to none. The membership is worth the money just for the tire center alone. True story: I walk in with a badly damaged tire. They don’t have it but could order it and install it in two days. However, because of the damage, a Costco Tire Associate (not a manager mind you) decided to purchase the tire at *retail* cost somewhere in town at a higher cost than their actual purchase price — thereby incurring a loss...! What...?In my personal experience, Discount Tire Co., is a second rate outfit that does not put the customer’s interests (or that of his/her safety) first. If you are considering Discount, try Costco — you will get a better overall deal and a support second to none in the consumer sector; certainly in the tire space...

I found myself at Discount Tire in Encinitas with a dog, a cat, and a toddler. The gentleman that helped us (wish I remembered his name) was so nice and helped me get everyone inside. He even gave the chihuahua a bowl of water and a milkbone as large as his head 😆. They patched up my flat tire (which someone elsewhere had told me was irreparable and I needed to buy a new one) and put air in the others as needed and I was on my way no charge!
