This store is much faster and better organized than the Palm Ave west store. It usually takes 20 minutes or more to check-in with an employee even if you have an appointment on Palm. The Broadway store will be my new home base.

I have purchased my tires at Discount Tire for years and years. This is the first time at this location since I moved back to Chula Vista. A friendly help me pick out my tire I needed something very economical I decided to buy two tires for the front that day and next month Ill buy two tires for the back the salesperson stared me to a tire that was economical and would be in stock when I came back as my rear tires I wanted to replace concurrently but he said that I still had good tread on the back. I took a trip to LA and felt very safe having two front new tires and that drove very well I purchased the Sentry brand, which is an economical line of tires that they feature. I bought them last time also and was very satisfied with the road handling of these tires. I have a Nissan Altima GL 2015. Thank you Discount Tires Ill come back in a month for my back two tires and of course for my free tire rotation. Service was quick and they had a nice seating area inside and outside the store is nice and clean and the salesman were very courteous and knowledgeable

Sent my sister in law in to get a tire replaced, becuase she had damaged the sidewall to a dangerous point. The salesman only offered to sell her a tire at retail cost or sell her the house insurance that they offer.... EVERY TIRE COMES WITH A FREE PRORATED ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY... her tires had less than 5k miles on them and should have costed her about 30$ instead they charged her 144... because that was cheaper than buying it at full price, she was never offered her free prorated road hazard warranty. Now I need to return to get the paperwork fixed and refund the purchase of the insurance that the salesman manipulated her into buying.

Got a crazy puncture in my tire and couldnt wait for anything. Drove right over and they took great care of me. I bought previous tires there in the summer but I guess I cheated out and didnt buy the hazard protection. They still took great care of me and now have a new tire and hazard protection. Went in to fix a flat and Discount tire is usually very good with that. They informed me the flat on the new tire was unrepairable for which I understood. The associate offered me a tire that didnt match at around $300 as I declined since it didnt match. Then he offered to sell me a used tire for $70. To my understandind, Discount Tire doesnt sell used tires so I declined as the transaction felt FRAUDULENT. The tire offered wasnt even the right size for that matter. Felt the salesman was a bit shady and decided to go to a different shop.Never had issues at this location but Ill never go back there again.

Got a bolt stuck in my tire and went to Discount Tire on Broadway in Chula Vista. After seeing really good reviews and making an appt online (super easy btw) they patched my tire for no charge. They seemed so happy to help me. Ill be going there when I need to buy tires. It was my first time doing business with them. I highly recommend this location. 👌

They DAMAGED 2 Wheels stripping 3 lug nuts!I have used Discount Tires (Arizona) in the past and was pleased. BUT this Discount Tires location damaged my wheels. I bought one tire and rotated the rest. All but 1 of the rims were stock Toyota rims. My spare was stock rim which I had them swap out so I could run on all stock rims keeping my spare as the non-stock rim.The staff that did the grunt work (actual tire exchanges) were extremely fast - maybe too fast. In mounting the rims they managed to strip 3 lug nuts, two on one wheel and one lug nut on another. When the manager brought this to my attention he appeared extremely nervous and defensive. He actually blamed me for faulty lug nuts? He said he could guarantee the one wheel, with only 3 of the 5 lug nuts in place, wouldnt fall off and suggested I get it fixed asap. He didnt apologize maybe because he felt it would be admitting guilt. Also worth noting our conversation lasted all of about 60 seconds and he abruptly just walked away. Only sorry I didnt catch his name. I was only in town for 2 days and HAD to get this fixed before the 1,100 mile drive back down to Cabo.Nervously driving around, at times on the freeway, I managed to find another local tire shop which replaced the lug nuts ($180). He said this was not the first time he has replaced lug nuts that were stripped out by Discount Tires.Side note:Before I pulled out of the Discount Tires stall I pointed to the laborer that my low tire pressure light was still on. He said it was a battery inside the sensor on the tire which had to be replaced. Well he was wrong - turns out the light went out on its own after few miles of driving. This is normal behavior on a 2012 Toyota Sienna.Never again Discount Tires.

This location is usually always on point. There was only maybe one or two times they are not. Usually, I get an excellent service. It would have been excellent if the wipers they installed on my daughters car was correct. Since its been since January and my daughter no longer live in SD, we decided for her to buy it somewhere else and get it replaced. Although, the store was willing to replace it with the correct size, my daughter decided to get it done at Walmart instead.

After the wait, they told me they couldnt find the socket to remove my tires.. you would think that they would have everything ready seeing as how they knew i was scheduled that day.. 1st and last time going there. I left this store having had maintenance done.. while on the road my tire started deflating. I had to return immediately and wait to have my vehicle reserviced. This is the second time this happens. At another discount tire out of state my vehicle completely deflated.. I was traveling out of state how safe is that.. not reliable employees or under qualified, careless? What is it?

I had to take my wheels and tires from my 2017 MX-5 for flat repair on 6/6/18 morning. I intentionally took just the wheels and tires, already dismounted from the car with center cap off, marked the section of the tire with the nail, to make it simpler and minimize potential error for the shop. Discount tire was not crowded and was greeted by Hiram, went over the wheel/tire, condition of the wheel (flawless), and asked him to be please very careful as its in perfect condition. Hiram assured that it will not be scratched as they uses the touchless machines. Ive also asked to be careful when balancing the tires as that metal mount can often scrape up the center part of the wheel (happened before). Hiram mentioned that he will communicate to the worker to be careful when working on the wheel.The job was assigned to Louis who I observed the whole process and you can tell he was trained to go quickly as possible. In the observation, I did notice he was using the metal pry bar without the plastic cover and leveraging into the paint side of the rim to get the tire off. The job was done quickly, in about 20 minutes. I checked the wheels immediately after it was completed, focusing on the where the pry bar was leveraged and sure enough, it was scratched, as you can see in the picture. I showed it to Louis immediately and he was very apologetic. Also in the conversation, I did find out that Louis was only on the job for 2 months as tire installer, so I would really question why Hiram had him do this job when he knew I was specifically requesting to be very careful. When I showed it to Hiram, his immediate response was pry bar or installation wouldnt cause this type of scratch, etc., typical defensive response. I know all it takes is not so clean pry bar, not protected by plastic cover, leveraging and sliding against the painted rim edge would exactly cause this scratch as I observed.I had to get to work and I just didnt feel like spending time arguing so ended up leaving the shop without resolution.When I got home, I also did notice the wheel center sections has also paint chipped along with several chip marks in the wheel barrel as well.They are fast and their workers do try hard but once issue arises, it would be difficult to resolve. I understand painted wheels are very difficult to manage without scratch but lack of responsibility when issue arises is concerning.I cant recommend this Discount Tire for the reasons above.

They were nice friendly people working at the tire shop. I needed a tire balanced at American Tire. I purchased all six tires from American Tire. It was a different manager at American Tire. He refused to balance the tire. I asked him why? He said that the tire is no longer good and that violated California tire code. I asked show me the code. He said no. I called B.A.R. and it was suggested by the representative to go to a different tire store. Thats why I was at Discount Tire and they balanced the tire on my work truck.

This place is amazing. For me it was a hour out of my way, and I had a scooter tire that was leaking that I needed looked at. I picked this location because it’s easy to get to by public transportation, bus stops you off at the store, there are also a lot of shops walking distance away while you wait. Victor went out of his way to get me fixed up in a timely manner. They may not have the right tools to work on motorcycles tires like they can on cars, however I have noticed that if you can met them 1/2 way they are willing to work with you the rest of the way. Please don’t forget to tip for special repairs. Well worth the trip. Highly recommend.

This place is a legit 5 star location. Every member is respectful from the staff at the counters to the guys changing your tires. I had a few issues with my tire sensor that got messed up after installation and they owned up to it and corrected the issue without any hassling. I somehow managed to leave my stuff at the store and they called me back to let me know, then returned it back to me.Seriously, is hard to find good people like that these days and these guys got it. I’ll end this with… if you’re looking for knowledge people who are friendly and can offer you fair priceson brand new tires. Then this is a one stop shop. If you don’t believe me because this might seem exaggerated then stop by and see for yourself.

Got a screw in my tire. I got air in tire to make it to discount tire. The store was about to close and I was told to come back tomorrow. The store at 600 Broadway St left me and my dog with a flat and no way to get home in the rain. I have had tires patched. It would have taken 15 minutes to patch. They tried to make an appointment for the morning. I will not be returning to Discount tire ever. I’ll go to Costco for tires from now on.

These guys rock! I bought my tires at a different discount tire and I had a flat. Called this discount tire because they were closer and they told me to come on in. On a Saturday they fit me in their schedule to repair my tire. But the most impactful thing from them was their Grade A customer service. I’ve never felt so welcome in a tire shop before, not throwing shade at the other location cause they’re great too. But, these guys were extremely polite and I felt very comfortable that these guys were going to do a solid job. Definitely coming back and recommending them to everyone. I love these guys... I got a low air light and popped in to have it checked. Super fast and very friendly. Less than 30 minutes in and out. I love these guys...I needed new tires anyway.. Kyle at my Discount store on 600 Broadway in Chula Vista took care of me.I made an appointment so it was very fast. I had a bad tpms sensor so it was replaced. While trying to reset the system another turned up bad. It’s best to replace them in pairs anyway. This was not an upscale, but legitimately necessary.Thank you does not express enough of my gratitude for the care these guys take with my cars and my family members. Great Service. The service technician was friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly priced out some options as I was deciding whether or not to get just tires or a wheel & tire package. I was a walk-in customer and they were able to install all four tires and get me out in 45 minutes. I cant speak much to their prices since I didnt compare to anyone else, but they were kind enough to give me credit on my old tires that still had plenty of tread.

Great experience every time, the place is clean and well maintain for a tire shop, which are normally dirty looking or old. But this place looks new and clean every time. Staff is friendly and know their stuff, free air checks, and prices are really competitive. Only downside is, their always busy so sometimes you may have to wait a little bit, since its busy and there a bit of a line and if theres no line their phones are ringing like crazy. But still by far the best place to shop for tires.

I really like Discount Tire, I have bought my tires off of this company for every car I have owned. They have outstanding customer service. Today I had a slow leak on my new cars tires and even though I did not purchase these tires from them( they came with the car) they still fixed it for free. The culprit was a screw in the back passenger tire. I recommend this company for tires, they are worth purchasing here if for no other reason than their great service!

Ordered 4 tires online on a Monday night. Tires supposed to be in 3-5 days so I set up appointment for following Monday morning. Tires came in 2 days later on Wednesday morning. I went to 4WP and was advised to buy some wheels that were “absolutely” going to fit my truck. After being assured multiple times that they were good to go, I went to Discount Tire to get my tires mounted on them only to find out that they were the wrong size after all. Erik went above and beyond to find me wheels in my same price range (they were actually higher quality), and even drove to another shop to pick them up for me in the middle of a busy day. He and the staff were friendly and attentive, and even offered me a great military discount. This is the ONLY place to buy wheels and tires in the San Diego area, and someone give Erik a raise for the great work he does!

We were visiting family in SD for Thanksgiving and got a flat tire the day after on I5. We spoke with Marvin, and he showed us a variety of options for replacements, ranging from the lowest prices to their premium. At no point did we feel pressured to buy a certain product over another. We selected what we wanted, and were told the wait would be roughly an hour and a half. Keep in mind it was Black Friday, they had deals, and the place was packed. A 1.5 hour turnaround was more than ideal for us.My wife and I walked across to the street to the mall, and received a message that the vehicle was ready after an hour and fifteen minutes.The whole process was smooth and efficient, and the staff was courteous and professional.Can not recommend enough!

I dont take advantages of the free services they have here for checking your tires, but I bought two tires here that they do not carry at the Navy Exchange where I usually shop since there is no taxes over there. However, the tires I found was recommended on forums and reasonably priced even with all the extra add-ons they charge you on top of the actual tire price. If there werent all the add-on prices, I would give five stars because the service was good. You have to make an appointment, and they didnt have one for a few days, but they pretty much started working on it once I got there a little early, and they told me it would take 38 minutes, and they had it done in less than that for 2 tires.

Fast service when I brought in my car to get all new tires. The only problem I have is the sales-person lied to me saying if i didnt purchase the certificate of repair that day, I wouldnt be able to purchase it after that day. In reality, we are allowed 30 days from tire purchase to purchase the certificates. I could have went to another company down the street, but I put my trust in discount tire. I do not like being lied to...

The free tire tread and pressure check, rotation and rebalance on tires purchased here has saved us a lot of hassle; on this last visit they also found and patched a slow leak in one tire that I hadnt noticed yet. Called and made an appointment. Asked for a specific tire in a specific size. Guy on the phone assured me they had 4 of that exact tire in stock and plenty other brands in that size as well. Arrive for the appointment the next day and turns out none of that is true. They dont have any of my size in stock and will need to special order them.Had them check one tire I had an issue with. Still took them over 45 minutes.They did not offer anything for their mistake. Not even one of their free water bottles.

So, I called in advanced for pricing, I was told 20 dollars each for mounting and balancing. keep in mind I have my own brand new tires and valves and so this is for 3 tires. One of the better customer service experiences I’ve had this year. I arrived at 8:03am and was out by 8:20am. I only had a free tire rotation but the team there worked on my car like a NASCAR pit crew.They’ve changed the checkin process - which is to take a pic of a QR code that in turn pulls up a checkin page on your phone. I was skeptical at first because I personally do not like having to download yet another app on my phone that I will sparingly use - this process bypasses the need to download an app and made the checkin process easier to adhere to social distancing during Covid-19 restrictions.Each person working these seemed courteous and were all engaged in their duties.Well done, Discount Tire!

Prices are what you expect from this type of chain.... customer service was an unpleasant experience. Sales rep Hugo, had a very short attention span and when I tried to ask him a question he was distracted and eventually walked away without answering my question. I will say or give him the benefit of a doubt that this is a very busy store but regardless of that the customer has priority. Hugo I just closed a deal with me for 2 tires for my trailer for $157.54 the least he could do was answer my questions. But at the end he got what he wanted and I got what I wanted he made a sale and I got my new tires but service still suck.

Ive been a long time customer with American Tire Depot. This is where I get all my car needs done. My schedule is tight and I needed a tire patched ASAP. I showed up at 8:15am on Monday & they told me 1.5 hours wait. I asked him to schedule me in & he said they dont do appointments to patch a tire. I used to like going to this location because Anthony has always taken great care of me & my car. I had to drive all the way to Lemon Grove to get my tire fixed. I like American Tire Depot but do not reccomend this location instead make a further drive to Lemon Grove it will be worth it. They have good prices and services is fast, but I had a couple of issues with them.1. They lost a wheel cover and claim it was lost already. At some other shops they tell you before the repairs if something is missing.2. They damage the tread on a nut and they claim it was like that. They did offer the service of some one who would repair it for free, but it was only after we complain about the missing nut otherwise they would have try to let it go like that.

I had one tire that I brought in they didnt have to pull it off or put it back on the vehicle, they only had to put one tire on a rim and toss it in the back of my truck. I asked if they could rush it and they said no problem, will have it done in 30 minutes. That didnt seem like a rush for one tire. Been sitting here for an hour and they havent even started on it yet. If you have a choice, go to another discount tire.

I cant say enough about Discount Tire. They have saved me when my tire was flat, without a penny in my pocket a few times and they took care of me at no cost. Others can say what they will (penny wise / pound foolish), but I always include the Discount Tire Certificates with every tire purchase I make. Invaluable when we need it most. My last time here they assisted us with my wifes car. We had purchased some wheels from a place close by (just the ones she wanted) but something wasnt right about the balancing (they couldnt get it right). We took her car to Discount Tire and they checked everything, to find that one of the wheels was bent. A couple of days later we purchased new wheels from this location and took the other wheels back for a refund to the other wheel store. Saved again by Discount Tire.
