Warning!!! Quality of their water pumps are extreme cheap and poorly designed which also is rebranded. My costly purchase lasted only 3 non-consecutive hours. If for whatever reason your Digital Storm Computer or parts malfunctions during your warranty, you will be required to ship all the defective part(s) ship to their warehouse using their original packaging and box. Plusss you will need to keep the original box and packaging for the entire year or they will charge you 100 additional dollars as you will be required to use their shipping box Only. First time purchase and will be my last. If you spend 3000 dollars you will get a 1000 dollar computer.
I’ve been curious about DS’s products for a long time now. The mixed reviews were the one thing keeping me from taking the plunge, until a buddy of mine got a computer and loved it. After playing on his, I knew I needed one of my own. My only regret is that I waited so long to purchase one.
Digital Storm deceived me. I just bought an $8,000 PC from DS; after taking four months to get, I put in my other 2070 Super GPU, and it gets FRIED immediately because DS only connected two power cables up to the passthrough power board. I call them up, explaining what happened and taking ownership of my mistake. I probably should have checked that they only hook up the bare minimum. The ads say this is the best Built PC on the market, and I paid an extra $70 for you only to give my two cables. Nevertheless, it was my choice to buy the PC from DS. After all, they have lifetime upgrades, right? WRONG! I called them up and told them all of this and even got a quote for a new GPU or even a Dual 3090 Setup that they wanted to charge me $5600 for. Now after the sale was over was told they wouldnt sell me an upgrade; not unless Im buying a new whole pc will they do it. Now, if youre going to spend a small fortune on a pc, with crazy markup on it, would you expect top-notch service. Not with DS; it was a straight take the money and run. So, save your money and shop at a different builder. It will save you upfront, and youll probably get better service.
After two months of ownership with my Bolt X, the custom loop leaked. GPU was toast, & I then sent it in for RMA. I chose to upgrade the GPU upon arrival. Paid a reduced restocking fee & a minor discount for the 2080 TI. Total price now exceeds $5.2K. After three weeks, & an issue with the shipping back to me, the end result was a possibly damaged case since my unit arrived back with fresh liquid in the case. I obviously sent it back after a week of waiting for an approval. Its clear Digital Storm has issues with shipping, & a lack of quality insurance. Combination of these two problems in my opinion can be the companies undoing. Everything else is great, but sometimes I get that dull customer service were all used to by now. Idk whats really going on, but I want to believe in the companies goal. They offer a sweet package for a reasonable price, though if youre spending this kind of $. You should probably do it yourself tbh~
I wish there were no character limit so I could explain my entire story of my experience with this company in which they claim to build the worlds most advanced computers... But my entire experience so far with them has been a legit, living nightmare. I placed a custom order for a Bolt3 with CPU+GPU liquid cooling w/ hardline tubing. After prolonged waiting of over a month, I finally received my system. When I received my system for the first time, I carefully unboxed with extreme caution. Upon setting my system up, it would NOT power on at all. I had to get on tech support and the rep. instructed me to unplug certain cables and replug them in. Luckily it finally powered on. Huzzah? No. Literally 4 days later, I find a leakage from the CPU water block. I was terrified and immediately powered down my system. By the time I noticed the leak, it had already done damage to my GPU hence the sudden severe performance drop while the system was on. Immediately called tech support, again, for an RMA. Danced around with their tech support for RMA and finally got that processed. After I received my system from RMA several weeks later I discovered something even worse. Upon unboxing carefully as I did initially, I witnessed a true nightmare. Fluid was ALL over the clear side panel, BOTH memory sticks were let loose as if they were just tossed in there and the cracked water blocks were still there. It seemed as if they didnt fix anything just took my system apart, put it back together, refilled the fluid, and tossed BOTH the memory sticks in there RATTLING in the case. I assume the whole waiting process was just to wait out my warranty so I can not retaliate what so ever. After spending literally thousands of dollars for such a high tier computer, absolutely a nightmare come true. For $4700 definitely not what I had expected. Tech support seemed lacking, the labor done on my system definitely careless and had 0% passion for their job, so says on their website they have passion for. I am completely fed up with them and filing a dispute with my credit card company because this is definitely not customer satisfaction, and I feel as if I was scammed and just sent $4700 of hardware and a computer that doesnt even work and/or will NEVER work. If I send it back I have a strong belief, especially now, that nothing will ever be fixed or replaced and just sent back to me the way it was. I would honestly prefer a brand new system with new components but that will/would never happen accordingly to their policy. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. For being such a high tier computer boutique, truly a disgrace. If I had a different experience or better, I would or may not even be writing this review. I could go on and on about the details of what I went through, but I couldnt be any more heart felt about this, its so depressing and stressful to just think about what I went through. Better off building your own PC or look towards another company. Any but digital storm. Thanks digital storm for wasting my time, money, and emotions. Certainly the opposite of the worlds most advanced computers. I had much faith in them I gave them a second chance to correct the faulty hardware they sold me, but no I was only just played once again. Heed my warning people because I was confirmed, baited. And you will be too if youre just as ignorant as me.
Tried multiple times to get them to send me to a proper computer place to get my desktop looked at to get it running properly. But I never heard back from them beside a couple emails saying we tried to call. Even though I put to contact me through emails due to bad phone reception while I work my job. All in all the computer was nice when I did work. But the text support isnt really all that indept even with the included support they offer
I built my pc this month I wanted it to be able to play Diablo 4 and I spoke to advisors they recommended this site my computer arrived exactly how I wanted it and arrived one day before release day, loving it makes no noise I LOVE IT,
Im on my second Digital Storm machine (the first one is still going strong, by the way), and the service from top to bottom has been nothing but awesome. There was a mix up on the time the laptop was supposed to go out, but Selina - one of the CS reps - was able to track stuff down and get everything lined up the way it should have been.My purchase was the Avon 15.6 laptop. Once I have that in hand, Ill be doing a product review on the site. In the meantime, though, I cant talk enough about how well customer service kept me informed on the order, from beginning, to mix up, and to shipping. They might not get back to you right away, but when they DO respond to an inquiry you have, they usually have everything you need lined up with additional information instead of having to pry everything out of them. This is a HUGE plus when youre placing an order from halfway across the country, and one of the many reasons Ill be back for a third when the time comes.
My gf and I both got our PCs from this company and we really like them. Sometimes our friends come over to play and they’re lowkey shocked by how good they run. Other PCs just aren’t the same after playing on these.

Horrible experience with this company, I would strongly advise to stay away. Purchased a $3500 custom PC and the mother board went bad after using it for 6 hours. They charged me $158 to ship it back so they can fix it. Bad MB and issues, they should pay to ship it back not me.
Builders of the most unreliable PCs is a more appropriate name. They are unscrupulous scammers who are incompetent in building a functioning system. I have had four RMAs and my system is still broken.
Bought a computer from this site a couple months ago, and it did NOT disappoint!! Excellent build, great quality, couldn’t be any happier. I can’t recommend them enough!
Just make sure you check their work, mine had loose hardware / wires running against fans. Def not worth the $5k I spent + warranty. Don’t recommend.
My wife helped our 16 year old son in purchasing a custom built computer from Digital Storm do your homework and read the online reviews for yourself its a little scary to spend almost two thousand dollars with a company on the other side of the country but these guys are great from taking the order to building and shipping quickly and safely and continue to offer Tech support after the purchase Very Professional

Digital storm got it fixed and RMA’d the motherboard for me super fast. Philip, Cole and the rest of the team was super professional. Since it was in the shop I went ahead and upgraded the cooling system and I couldn’t be more happier. Thanks much.

2022-10-03 21:40:57I have had great service and felt well taken care of by Digital Storm. My experience was with an Aventum X and Bolt X custom ordered from their website. Ive built my own computers many times, but wanted to have the water cooled design and assembly without stressing on my part. The experience went very smooth and granted with COVID, there were some delays, but nothing unexpected for the time. Both systems arrived and worked extremely well. I have realized that on the Bolt X the PETG tubing may not have been the best with a smaller form factor for CPU (I did hardline on the Aventum X for both CPU and GPUs which has worked FABULOUSLY). I decided to switch out the PETG for the flex tube, as I wanted the fewest connectors to work with whenever I rotate fluid, and they had my fluid tubing switched out within days from when it arrived at Digital Storm. They have been extremely communicative throughout the process and even noticed some cosmetic damage from when I was identifying the tube issue, and they gave me a chance to get it all repaired. This is the kind of service I was hoping for and they have exceeded. I would recommend them and will definitely return in the future if I have the need. Thanks Digital Storm!

2023-04-25 05:59:05Leaks leaks leaks leaks and leaks. Leaked on day 1. They ignored my emails. QR code on the package was illegible and my power button was haning out. I got someone on the phone and they sent out parts, I got it fixed after a painful conversation where neither of us understood eachother. Then I discover a 2nd leak a few months later, which was probably always there but I didnt notice because it was a slow leak. I found the leak, and waiting for their response to help. Then my water pump just stopped working, so now I cant even power on my computer because the cpu overheats right away, even before it can boot the bios. Great. Im a remote editor and Im loosing money every day. I dont get paid unless I work. This has caused me so much money, credibility and damage to my reputation that far exceeds the $5K garbage system I purchased. As a remote editor my computer is my livelyhood, and I made the mistake of trusting Digital Storm with something so important. This will be very difficult to recover from.

2023-07-10 01:30:371 year and 3 months in the plastic tubing starting leaking and fried the motherboard and the graphics card. I’m still in the labor warranty but out of the parts warranty… how convenient. Terrible terrible build. To buy a 10k computer and have it fail after just a year is crazy.

2023-10-07 20:22:02Update: Bought a second PC from Digital Storm and have had a bad experience. In the build phase I received countless inconsistent estimates and inaccurate info. No one short of the manager i got eventually took any responsibility for what other people said. Computer was received late and had a minor port problem and side panel fit issues in the first 2 weeks. Now 4 months in it wont power on and I am being forced to pay to send an in-warranty machine back for repairs. Communication is slow, turnaround times are slow, and seemingly parts quality is not great. I dont know if things have gone really downhill with DS, but this experience has been bad enough I wont ever buy from them again.Original review: It took some time to get my PC but Ive owned it now for 3.5 years and the workmanship of Digital Storm is top notch and the customer service was great. If you want a local, high-quality custom built PC, check these folks out. Ill be buying my next gaming PC from them for sure.

2023-07-08 20:55:57My PC was faulty on arrival. I did in-depth troubleshooting, but none of the video output ports would display video on any of my monitors, TVs, etc. even swapping out multiple video cables. Support had me try to re-seat most of the internal components in an attempt to fix this. Whats the point in purchasing a pre-built PC if I have to take it apart and put it back together myself anyway? Re-seating every component still did not fix the problem. I eventually had to hang up the phone and follow up the next day. The 7-day tech support claim is very limited. The tech support agent that assisted the day before doesnt work weekends, and they would not let anyone else help me. I am told that I will receieve a call on Monday (when I am at work) to get support. This is a very, very poor system... A few thousand dollars, over a month of waiting, a full day of troubleshooting on my part, and a weekend left in the dark with no support. I am not impressed at all.

Might as well start at the beginning. I usually build my own PCs. Its fun, and as I have come to find the hard way, it is without a doubt the best way to go. Due to constraints on time I decided to purchase a pre-built and researched around and found Digital Storm to supposedly be the best Bang for the buck sort of deal but I would come to be horribly mistaken.I purchased two PCs spending roughly 5.5-6k all in. The ordering process was smooth, and Im coming to believe the only reason buying was smooth was due to the fact it was all automated and no Digital Storm employees involved in that process.The PCs arrived roughly a month... maybe two past their due date. When you try and get assistance thru support, you get the same generic responses with no explanations.After arrival, I had to immediately cut away the zip ties used for cable management. I had to cut them away and redo them due to how tight the board commections were being pulled on at bad angles. I also had to redo the closed loop cpu water cooler due to it being incorrectly installed, which could lead to CPU overheating. Thats most the issues there.After 2 years, the computer has now been down for over 3 months due to issues, and I am still unable to get resolutions from the aforementioned stellar Digital Storm support. From what I can tell, they get all their parts from China. I guess that because every part they think could be the problem has to be sent off to China for them to send me a new one (takes about 1.5 months per part it seems) and the PC is still down. Every PC I have built has lasted 5+ years. Digital Storm PC that costs twice as much lasts less than half the time.So my review personally is they are a 0 star company and youre better off building your own and if you cant...... Wal-Mart would be better than Digital Storm. However, their support while incompetent are nice and courteous, which counts for something.

The build is very premium and awesome, I am definitely impressed with their quality of build and customer service. They have been very responsive, professional and just awesome. I will be going back and recommending them to others, its good to know that there is a company like this to help you with all your computer needs. I am very happy I went with this company and I think you should as well. If you want a PC with no issues and works like its supposed to then go with these guys.

2020-12-28 00:17:56Ive just received my second Digital Storm gaming system. Its as awesome as expected and worked right out of the box. My previous DS machine is 7 years old and still running like a champ. Ive only had to contact Tech Support for assistance twice in those 7 years. Tech Support is terrific, responsive and extremely helpful. I recommend Digital Storm to anyone looking for a good quality computer.
