Dan from Product Labs joined our team at Tyro at a time when one of the businesss strategic products was struggling to identify a clear path forward.He was at ease wearing multiple hats from managing external strategic partners, the leadership team, and all the way to breaking down stories around product features. He brought in with him a wealth of knowledge from his experience in bootstrapping and launching products.As an engineer on the team, I had many takeaways from my interactions with Dan, enabling me to view product decisions from a business perspective. I also found him to be pragmatic and efficient in his ways of working.Dans engagement with our team was a great success, in terms of being able to pilot our product and identify multiple strategic avenues to enable further growth.The team at Product Labs is doing an amazing job and can bring in a lot of value to a business/product at any stage in its life cycle. I had the opportunity to work with Dan from Product Labs whilst he was engaged with Tyro Payments. I found his approach refreshing and inspiring. He was able to operate effectively at many levels (strategic, tactical and operational) in order to deliver the value needed. His primary focus was to develop a clear product strategy and start building momentum with the product and partners. He has done a terrific job here and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Dan.

Dan provided valuable tips and advice with our Product Roadmap in the early days of Typsy. He has a great understanding of the product lifecycle so was able to help us prioritise our feature development and develop a strong plan and process to reach our development goals. Dan has a vast knowledge of current tools and programs available that can help to make your product team work efficiently and effectively to achieve the business goals. He is easy to deal with, has a passion for developing products and has a get it done attitude!

Daniel Harman joined our team in a crucial phase of our product. We lost one key supporter and had not a great idea on how to move forward. As our product is different to the other products in the company it needed its mission and vision statement on top of a roadmap and clear strategy, none of these artefacts were present to the delivery teams satisfaction.The first thing he did, was to evaluate every aspect of the product, product team, engineering team, product artefacts and how it all fits together with our companys prospect. He met with key stakeholders, communicated findings and consulted on the impact of possible changes.From day one, he brought his positive and start-up mindset and drive into the office, which was contagious for the rest of the team.After roughly two weeks in the job, he gave us all the artefacts the delivery team desired. In a kick-off meeting, a clear vision, mission, strategy and roadmap were communicated, and feedback was taken in, and feasibility checked with everyone involved. Changes were implemented, and four months later, we had the first public release of our product live.Not only consulted Dan the team and stakeholders, but he also communicated to the CEO, shareholders and key customers and got all of them aligned and excited about our product.Our product was so successful, in such a short period, that we were given time to present to the companys board.Before he left, he was involved in searching for his successor and made sure everything was handed over duly, and the new way forward is driven and owned by the recruit.If your product is not taking off and you want to evaluate the current situation, are open for change and need some passion and drive in the team and across all stakeholders, Daniel Harman is your man.He has proven his expertise in other projects with our CEO and his own ventures before.If I am ever in a similar situation, he will be the first person I will call.
