I have been going here for years and have always had great service and pricing. I took a set of tires/rims in to have them balanced (they were off the car, so no lifting/jacking or removing/replacing was necessary) and was quoted $20/each which is almost triple what I had previously paid. The owner wasnt there and it was one of his guys guestimating, but still. Maybe things have changed, so I wont go back and wont recommend them anymore. Which is a shame because I like supporting local businesses.

DG Tires is a great place for tires & service! The owner (Tony) is very honest and professional and will do his utmost to treat you right and help you select the best tires for your needs. Personally, I’ve purchased 3 sets of tires from Tony and his honesty & integrity are the best. The last set of K02s I purchased had balance issues and Tony was able to return them and get me credit towards another (Toyo) set. Also worth noting, the K02s went on sale (after Tony had ordered them for me) and he passed the savings onto me, when he didn’t have to! He saved me serious $$ because he is honest and I really appreciate the savings. Everyone makes an occasional mistake, but the length that Tony will go to “make things right” is astounding and proves that he truly cares about his customers happiness. I would recommend DG Tires to anyone in the central coast area👍

They are awesome! I took my car to Big Brand three times and they kept telling me there was nothing wrong even though my tire pressure kept going down, took it to DG and they immediately found the problem, patched it up and I was good to go!

Definitely recommend this shop. Went above and beyond for me, my car, and sutuation. I was stuck in San luis with a flat tire on a Saturday afternoon. I called just as they were about to close. They told me they would stay open and wait for me. I was able to get a tow truck to tow me to them. They were in the driveway waiting as we pulled up. Took care of my tire immediately and got me back on the road again. Thank you DG TIRES AND SERVICE for your service and helping me. You are the best!

One of the few tire shops in SLO that have the knowledge and ability to service exotics properly. They were super helpful with finding the best price of the tires I needed too… better than the dealer, other out of town shops, and even Tire Rack. DOT numbers match exactly what was promised.I highly recommend making an appointment; they’re usually completely booked 1.5 - 2 weeks out. However, it only needed an hour to install and mount all four tires with that appointment (less than a 5 minute wait from scheduled time).

I would highly recommend this place. Tony gave me a price of $80 over the phone for the wheel allignment on my Lexus but ended up charging me $50 since I only needed adjustments in the rear wheels. Thank you Tony for your fairness and super duper service. Your waiting area was extremely clean and comfortable, it was a pleasure doing business with you.

Went in because I had a bad shimmy and suspected I needed an alignment. Turns out my tires were just wearing unevenly, so the guys balanced and rotated the tires. Boom, problem fixed. I appreciate that DG saw they didn’t need to do the alignment and told me so— they definitely could have made the $100+ on me and I wouldn’t have been any the wiser. 5 stars to quick and honest service!

These guys are really the greatest. I had to leave my truck there for several days once and they accommodated me without complaint. They once did a relatively simple repair, but it took an hour -- and they didnt charge me a thing. They start with a perspective of, well, we could do X ... but if you did Y it would be just as good and a lot cheaper. They really seem to care about their customers. Highly recommended. But ssshhh! -- dont tell anybody! :)

My wife and I were looking to replace the wheels and tires on our old Jeep; and were curious why DG tires keeps getting consistent five star reviews. We vowed to include them to compare the experience with other local dealers we visited based on their excellent reviews.Tony was incredibly helpful on the phone, he seemed to know exactly what I wanted and we gave him the go ahead to order 5 custom wheels and tires.I have been buying tires for four decades, and without doubt this was the best experience ever. I just got my Jeep home and I couldnt be more happy with the whole buying experience. Great caring service, courteous and efficient and a very fair price too, how can you beat that?Thanks Tony, you have a new regular customer!

The most fair pricing, best service, and likeable staff of any service provider in SLO, not just for car repairs. Seriously the best customer service, quick turnaround on repairs, and honest pricing. I have never had a problem with the repairs theyve done for me. I have only not used them for a repair once in the last few years, and Ill never make that mistake again! They also went above and beyond to find me a cheap spare tire in good condition. Cant say enough good things about these guys.

Im super happy my friend recommended DG Tires to me! I had been having no end of trouble finding some rather rare, staggered, 21 tires for my car, I live in San Diego and for MONTHS all the local chains that come to mind when you think tires have said we dont carry those or there are none out there right now, call back in a month or so... Well, the next day my friend gave Tony and team my tires size and speed ratings: within hours they had located all 4 tires and advised he could have them in a couple days so we set an appointment. Given I was traveling, they were great at accommodating my need to wait and were SUPER fast. All considered it was an excellent experience and I have zero hesitation in saying that Ill be making the drive to SLO again the next time I need tires in order to give DG Tires repeat business!

My engine light started blinking in the middle of my work day. Tony was recommended to me by my neighbor. DG Tires immediately answered the phone call and offered me prompt service if I could get my car towed to the shop that day. They diagnosed the issue and had the car fixed by the very next day. Great tire shop! I recently switched to DG from Costco for my tire purchases. Ive done two cars and a trailer including some white walls for an old T Bird. The guys were able to get even harder to find tires ordered and installed quickly and at the right price.We lost the lug key for my wifes car and they were able to get the nut off and replaced the nuts for free!

From the other reviews I guess I just got unlucky, but I had an appointment for an alignment check but the machine was miscalibrated and they were great about calling me and letting me know, saying that they had someone coming who could fix it and theyd call me to reschedule. They didnt call me back and the next day I reached out since I needed it done and they said itd be done and one of their guys was in Santa Maria getting parts for the machine so they could fixed it that day. Then I called again today and they said it still wasnt fixed. Not blaming this on the machine at all but I was kept waiting and I had to reach out even though they said theyd call me, and it just felt like my time was being wasted. I found a new place to get my car serviced at, but Ill make an effort to come back here and see them at their best

I got a nail in the sidewall of my tire a couple of blocks down the street of DG. After I inspected the tire, I called DG if they could fit me in real quick instead of having to hassle with my spare. Although they were scheduled out until the afternoon, they had me come by real quick to check it out. They immediately jacked up my car when I arrived and gave me fair prices for both new and used tires. After a bummer start to the morning with a nail, they had me back on the road and ready for the day in about 20 minutes.

Took a chance on this small shop and was impressed when I was given a quick estimate that was a fair price and the work was done quickly. I am most impressed by the character this family team has. They quote a price and dont try to upsell you or suggest unnecessary work. I worked as a fleet manager for a company and have dealt with all types of mechanics. From shade tree to ASC certified and these guys are your best bet. I have sent three of my friends already and I can suggest them to anyone.Bill

They don’t know how to run a business I have been getting the run around from them for months saying they can’t get the rims I wanted, they are still saying they may not come till next year so I called anthony’s Tire in Paso I will have my rims next week. They kept blaming it on their vendor witch is all lies. And plus they were going to charge even more then anthony’s, so if you want your rims and tires at a real price and don’t want to be lied to don’t to to DG. I would even trust this place to rotate my tires!! This place not worth your time!
