Second trip today. Bought a vintage Argus for $5 for my collection and a Pentax 35mm SLR for $20 on the junkpile that is fully operational with new batteries. Their store us a goldmine. Amazing service and an amazing store. Consider me a massive fan.

Dexters is incredible. I dropped off my 35mm roll at 2PM and asked for their expedited development option. They mentioned it would be same day or next day, but they were closing at 4PM so it was likely to be next day. Email in my inbox at 4:15PM with all the photos! 2 hour turn around!! Go Dexters.

Really happy to have a place that still develops film. Dexters also provides a scanned copies of your film photos, so you can easily have them digitally.Tons of used old school camera equipment to check out as well.I found Dexters when I was trying to find a place to clean the sensor on my mirrorless camera. Another camera shop was difficult to deal with, but Dexters was super friendly and got the sensor clean (I couldnt get it clean after many attempts).

What a gem of a find for a film shooter on holiday. Bought a Nic example of american camera manufacturing and picked up some new film stock. I wished we still had stores like this in the UK.

Excellent customer service by the tall guy with darker short hair. Greeted instantly in a laid back manner, had a charismatic smile also–like he was really happy to be there.Their service method seems dialed in; very knowledgeable staff on drop off and pickup, casually made sure I knew my options for 4x5 negative development. Offered scanning, didnt pressure. Kind of them to hang on to film not retrieved timely by their customers. Very kind of them.I usually develop my own films and have a pro-grade scanner, but I love supporting businesses like this and will definitely return. Thank you.

I love going here and browsing around or buying film. Getting film developed is an excellent process and proce. Really nice and down to Earth employees, too that have helped me with some difficult to answer questions about photography and related gear.

Best whole hearted experience. Had a battery swell up while in my camera, dropped it off at the shop not knowing what to expect. Well, Greg got it out! They didn’t want to charge me for removing it either. Will definitely be going back! Neat looking spot too!

Always a good experience with Dexter’s! Learned about them not too long ago and have been shipping my film to develop and scan. Easy process with shipping out film, scans are received through Google Drive. Will be continuing to use them and recommend to others :)

Its a pretty inviting environment the employees are very helpful. I did have an issue with one of my rolls i wanted to get developed it came out blank. So they were very generous to honor the deal and gave me credit for the next time. Overall experience this is totally worth it and the time to get my photos developed and scan which I love they can email them to you took about 5 days. Thanks so much for staying open and for great customer service

Its such a pleasure to have a camera that not only sells cameras, repairs them, and still does developing and printing. I thought the camera places had pretty much all closed up shop everywhere. Something was going awry with my camera, so in desperation I was able to find them. I came in, and in no time at all the friendly staff were all over taking care of my problem. Thank you! I used Dexter’s to develop my film while I was living in Ventura. Staff was super nice and they always did a fantastic job, in a timely manner, at a very reasonable price. I recently moved to the east coast and was heartbroken when I found that the only place to have my photos printed nearby was a CVS. Luckily I found out that Dexter’s takes mail in orders as well! They made the process super easy and affordable. I’ll be continuing to use dexter’s for all my photography needs, even from 2,000 miles away!

Only place I’ll let develop my film. It’s hard to trust anyone with my precious rolls of film, so I strictly use Dexters Camera and Lab. They package your negatives carefully when shipped back. The scans are impeccable. The customer service is amazing. And with the developing price so low, it keeps film affordable and I don’t have to build a darkroom in my house.

I just got my scans from them, and WOW! Of course, turnaround times are very different for everyone, especially depending on season and all, but I got scans for 2 rolls in less than a week. The scans were A+ quality, and Greg is very quick to answer questions through email. This is my new spot for film developing!

Develop your film, and you get to KEEP your negatives! Prices arent Walmart prices from when I worked in the photo lab back in good ol Y2K, but not too shabby! They sell film, cameras, and other items and services, like camera diagnostics and repair. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Repeat customer, for sure!

The Dexters team is friendly, supportive, and very knowledgeable. Ive been going to them exclusively for several years to get color and b&w 35mm film developed and scanned. Theyre incredibly affordable and the quality of their work is outstanding! Since Ive moved out of Ventura County I continue to mail my rolls of film to them. 5-5, highly recommend.

This place is great. Specializing in film cameras, the staff are enthusiasts for the art and very wiling to share their knowledge with newcomers like me and my daughter. Weve learned a lot from them in the few times weve visited for film processing. Well definitely keep coming back, even though its a bit of us to drive. Its worth it!

Great amount of options with down to the ground employees allowing you to feel like youre talking to a friend than a stranger. Would recommend anyone getting into film or is taking a film class requiring a camera. 100% would recommend people to come here in need of anything film related.

The prices are extreme, but Id be willing to pay for that if I had timely and quick service. Ive been here two times and each time its the same. I can understand having one bad experience but two with different clerks?! Im done, Ill be shopping elsewhere.

Its the only store I can find that still does film processing! Only $10 too, awesome! Takes about 1-3 hours to get it processed, not like at other stores where it can take more than a week.
