We had an awesome time! All the guys that work here are very helpful and friendly and this is the only spot where they actually let you explore the lake. Would Definitely recommend this place. Great service thank you!

Really nice staff took my booking on the spot and the instructor was very quick to adapt to my level of ability for the e-foil lesson. The spot of the lesson in the lane with boats going in and out, which made the experience more difficult than it could have been.

Designated Wakesports was an awesome company to work with! Very flexible and helpful. Ryan was our boat captain & wakesurf instructor. He was very knowledgable & helped those of our group who wanted to try wakesurfing by giving them instructions and helpful pointers on how to do better on each attempt. He also was conscientious on the boat speed when our littler ones wanted to try tubing. Everyone had a great time out on the boat!

Such a great time with this company, year after year. They keep the same staff each year and that says a lot about a company that takes care of their employees. The crew become family and are dedicated to making sure you have an amazing and safe time on the lake. We did tubing and they read their audience well. Speed for the dare devils and relaxing rides for the more timid. They make the experience a special time to be remembered. Thank you Coleman for another amazing summer experience.

My family and I just got off the boat and we had so much fun! Our boat driver, (Im so sorry I didnt catch his name) and the other staff were both so nice, helpful, and made our experience so much fun. We enjoyed the wake sports and tubing. Will definitely come back next Big Bear trip!!

We had a great time out on the lake with Designated Wakesports! Ryan was a great captain and a fantastic instructor for our first-timers. We wakeboarded, surfed, and went hard on the tube! Only wish it was longer. Cant wait for our next visit and pull behind the boat!

We rented a seadoo on 8/26/23. The staff was very friendly and professional. It was our first time visiting Big Bear in the summer. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely do this again next summer. Alex was courteous and knowledgeable. Thank you to all the staff for a fun time.

Our boat captains were fantastic. Ryan, the captain of the boat I was on was a very good coach and really cared about helping me get the surfing down. I was able to get it down thanks to his pointers and coaching. It was a very good experience!

Very friendly and fun staff we had fun and felt safe the entire time. Easy on and off and the price is fair. I do need to add that after a day I did not see the $500 deposit refunded to my account. So I went by the harbor and ask the staff about it. Was told “sorry, it doesn’t look like it had been released yet.” He said he would do it right then. That’s 3 hours ago and 24 hours after or ride and still has not shown up on my end. I’ll give it 2 days so there is time for it to cycle and check again. I really shouldn’t have had to go back the next day and remind them.

Super fun, great quality large 3 person jet skis. This is a must do activity on big bear lake. Easy to find at the end of the dock and parking is located on site. Simple check in and chill staff.

Such an amazing time. Went with my brother and his groomsmen for his bachelor party. Our guide Giles made sure we all stood up on the water and was such a chill and fun guy he made a huge difference. I cant thank the office enough for being so accommodating from some late flights of the other groomsmen. They really care about the customer and it was an amazing experience. 5/5 would recommend. Well be back! Thank you!

We had so much fun. We were a little nervous since it had been a long time since my husband and I had waterskied and our children had never done anything like that before. Our captain Giles was amazing. So patient with us and took his time explaining things and made sure we all got up on the wakeboard. He was so friendly and made us feel welcomed. This kids had the most fun tubing though. Would definitely recommend this. Had a great day on the lake. Thank so so much. Cherie

What an absolute blast!! We charted their ski boat for 4 hours and the time could not have been better spent. Chris took us out on the boat and was a great instructor. He helped my wife get up on the Wakeboard and Wake Surf Board on her first attempts. We had so much fun we plan on doing this regularly.

Myrie and Coleman deserve raises! Nice young men. We had A-blast out here in this beautiful Big Bear Lake because of designated water sports and we enjoyed Screaming all over the lake. The jet skis that we rented were in very good working order and I was able to go as fast as I wanted to the entire time which was full throttle. We will definitely return for more good times.

Fantastic place to rent jet skis! Every other place we checked in Big Bear required reservations and were booked. We almost gave up on the idea then heard about this place, walked right up and rented 3 without any issues! The instructor was very friendly with our large group and we had a blast. Cheaper than everywhere else too. Would definitely come again and check out their other water sport options!

An awesome experience! The jet skis were a blast. Carly was so helpful to make sure we were all taken care of. And Cali, captain of the boat, did a fantastic job taking us out on the water, making sure our experience was fantastic. Add, that it was! Both boys with their first time wakeboarding got up due to his expertise. We had a fantastic time! Thank you designated wakesports for making our Labor Day of last! :-)

AMAZING!! Me and my girlfriend were first time jet skiing and at first we were nervous. Thanks to Jiles everything was fine. Highly recommended very fun and a nice view of the open water and tall trees and mountains. Very professional and excellent customer service, thank you guys for our exhilarating experience! Ps .. Our group of 6 had a great time on the lake tubing. The speed boat was immaculate and well maintained. We had the option of also wake boarding but decided to spend all of our time tubing do everyone had their fill of fun. Our skipper Brian was the best. He made sure we were all comfortable in the water and felt safe. We’ll definitly be back.

This OC gal left her heart in Big Bear! This was my first time on the lake. The boat was perfect for me and my kiddos. Mikey was super helpful with arranging everything and making sure we were well taken care of. The boat was easy to function and so much fun! Im definitely coming back again before the summer ends.

This was the only place i could find on such short notice with Jetskis and i was so very grateful!! Had such a blast and got to enjoy the lake like i wanted on my vacation. Customer service there is excellent, they give everyone a chance to enjoy jet skis unlike the bigger companies there, and the no security deposit was sweet of course who doesnt appreciate saving that high deposit. All of the gentlemen there are very polite and helpful as well which goes a long way with me i believe the ones that helped us were Myrie and Kolman. You guys rock! See you next time on my Big Bear visit.

WOW. Where to begin. My husband and I recently moved to big bear and we have already rented jet skis from other places before finding Designated Wakesports. WOW have we been missing out! We rented jet skis here yesterday and let me tell you. This is the best place around!!! The jet skis are so much better and you can tell they really take care of them. But most of all.. CARLY made the experience. She was so helpful and kind from start to finish. She really made the whole experience fun!! We are going back next week to wakeboard and tube.... how cool is that?!? Do yourself a favor and skip all the other “rental” places and come straight here! You won’t be disappointed.

This is the next best thing to owning a wakeboard boat, only without the hassles! Desi the owner took us out for some wake sport fun last month in Big Bear and we had a blast! Ive wakeboarded before but it had been awhile. Desi provided great instruction, and the booming music from the boat helped me get hyped to try some jumps!! I was definitely sore the next day but it was so worth it! Theyll take you out on skis, go tubing, tell you about the lake and make you laugh with local Big Bear tales! Cant wait to go back! PS they also have jet skis you can rent!

Just went jet skiing 2nd time here today earlier went tubing, etc. folks super friendly & outgoing they do everything they can to make sure you have a great time. First time using jet skiing and they explained everything easily. We had a blast!

So, my girlfriend and I were in Big Bear for a few days, and looking for something fun and local to do. We called Designated Watersports, and had all of our questions answered (and trust me, we had a bunch!). The guy was incredibly friendly, and willing to talk us through the rental and operation process. When we got there, we found out that its just a small, one man business, and man was he a super nice, really personable guy. Afterwards, when our rental time was up, we asked if we could just do a quick loop while he took pictures, and he took a ton of fantastic ones. Cant recommend these guys enough.

Rented a jetski which was super fun. The lake is perfect for it. Originally intended to cable wakeskate, but the system was taken down due to water levels receding a while ago. You can still wakeboard/tube/waterski by boat (it has a good tower and the board selection is huge). Carly and Bob are really great fun people. Theyre super organized and efficient. Id definitely come here again

They are closed for 8 more months but their website does not have hours of operstion or an email address and all they did to inform customers that they are closed is turn off their phone. Google was also out of date and innaccurate with their hours of operation. I will change my review if they provide basic necessary info to customers who have to drive hours to get there.

Great experience for the whole family!We tried wakesurfing and it was so cool that it could actually be done as a complete beginner.Good and patient instructor who continued to sound enthusiastic, even though there was a difference in how much beginners luck we had 😉All the right equipment to be able to try just what we wanted.There were 5 of us and it was fitting that we used all our strength in two hours.
