I recently had my wisdom teeth removed at Desert Maxillofacial Center, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and made sure I felt comfortable. They answered all my questions with great detail and patience. On the day of surgery, they helped calm my nerves and made sure I was settled in comfortably.Desert Maxillofacial Center did an excellent job explaining the entire process before the surgery, which really helped ease my nerves. They provided thorough information for both pre and post-surgery care. I was pleasantly surprised to be sent home before the surgery day with all the necessary supplies for recovery, such as gauze and teabags, which saved me a last-minute trip to the pharmacy.Medication was sent to my pharmacy ahead of time, ensuring everything was ready for me. Desert Maxillofacial Center truly went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and care, both during and after the procedure. I highly recommend them for anyone needing oral surgery—they are professional, caring, and extremely thorough.Thank you for such great care.

Great experience with this office, great staff, very friendly. Selena at the front desk explained everything regarding my daughters surgery and was very patient with answering any questions. The office runs like a Swiss clock, and the decor hints that Dr. Jugan served in the Navy. No wonder everything is ship shape. Dr. Jugan and the ladies in the office were professional, attentive, and very thoughtful. My 7 year old had a tooth pulled, and they were accommodating in scheduling the appointment. Dr. Jugan and his staff did an excellent job on my implant. All aspects of the procedure and any related billing issues were clearly and thoroughly explained ahead of time. Very courteous, friendly and professional staff. No one wants to go through this procedure if you dont have to, but if I have to ever do it again I wouldnt hesitate to call Dr Jugan again.

The whole process was fantastic. My young daughter was nervous and scared about her surgery. The entire staff was gracious, supportive and understanding. Salena Marquez went out of her way to keep my daughter at ease, also engaged with her stuff animal to make a connection with her and gave me updates of status throughout her surgery. Front desk was kind and welcoming.I appreciate the dentist coming out to the waiting room to speak with me personally after the surgery was complete.I highly recommend this dentist/surgery facility.They made a nervous mommy feel calm and confident.

Dr. Jugan’s office is a great place for any oral surgery you may need! The front desk ladies are timely and it is very easy to set up appointments with them. I was able to book a consultation and date for the surgery all within the same week. This was the second oral surgeon I had been to and felt way more comfortable with Dr. Jugan’s diagnosis.

I went in to have a post put in, it went very well. No pain and no problems. The girls in the office are very pleasant and put my mind at ease from day one. From the consultation, to the day of the surgery, to the follow up appointment we were confident that we were in good hands and that we made the right decision to entrust our daughter with him and his staff. Our 11 year old needed a surgery that we were extremely nervous about based on consultations we had with other doctors. Dr. Jugan took time to explain her specific case and his detailed surgery plan. He then executed his plan precisely; resulting in our daughter having minimal pain and an extremely fast recovery. She was back to playing soccer a few days after surgery. As far as the quality of care is concerned I have no complaints, but their sales staff is like an aluminum siding sales person....they calculated what my insurance would cover (and I have very good coverage as well as a secondary Tricare) When the billing went through they were wrong on the coverage amounts and we ended up with a patient responsibility $708 bill!. We paid half of that immediately and they another $100 the next month...They said they would be sending the balance to collections!! the place is a rotten operation. As a nurse and a medical professional in billing with insurance although not illegal it is not a company i would recommend to anyone. If you do plan to use this facility make them commit to their mistake and allow some type of courtesy arraignments in the event of non coverage.

My deaf and blind son had to get his wisdom teeth extracted. I remember when I had my teeth take our some 45 years ago, it took the doctor four hours. I also have claustrophobia of hospitals and doctors offices. However, when I took my son, the staff was extremely nice. The atmosphere was inviting and homey. The doctor was extremely personable, as well as friendly. When my son went in he liked the doctor and staff, and when he came out, it had been like only a half and hour. I was impressed by the speed of the work. Moreover, as the anesthesia wore off, (which my son was not use to having), there was no pain. He did not have to take narcotics to dull his senses, and I am officially impressed. The next day, my son, was hungry, and began to eat solid food again, like the man he is today. I am sure if anyone is looking for a good doctor, I can tell you from my own experiences of them, this one was worthy of his time and money.

During the removal of wisdom teeth, I woke up from the anesthesia didnt hurt but was weird. Also took a very long time for them to heal and still had nerve pain for a few months after. The worst part was I paid for the removal of my wisdom teeth during a check-up about 3 weeks before the removal (so I paid upfront) and then 3 months after the removal they sent me a bill for $3k. After a month and negotiations, they settled with $1.1k and threatened collections if not paid. IDK how during the 3 weeks they didnt check with my insurance if it was covered and only did it after. Wisdom teeth removal wasnt necessary or emergency I could have waited.

Ive had 3 procedures at Desert Maxillofacial Center and have been impressed every time. Very professional in every way, with a knowledgeable and helpful staff. My most recent experience was to have teeth extracted. Rosa had everything I would need - prescriptions, recovery instructions and documents to sign - all ready for me when I arrived. The staff was concerned about my comfort throughout the procedure and successful recovery. Dr. Jugan is excellent and I was impressed by the fact he called me later that day to see how I was doing. His assistant, Alex, had an exceptional, calming bed-side manor and kept me informed throughout the procedure as to what Dr. Jugan was doing. Ive had very little pain and so far, my recovery is going very well. I would recommend this office to friends and family without hesitation. Thanks for a very positive experience!

By far the worst dentist experience I’ve ever had. I was recommended by a dentist in my area to dr jugen mind you I live 2 hours away from him. I had my appointment scheduled for 2 weeks and they constantly sent me texts to remind me that it was at 3 pm. Come the day of the appointment one of his assistants calls me an hour and 40 minutes before my appt to ask if I can make it at 2:40 because dr jugen decided to leave early. They ask that whoever you bring with you has proof of vaccination but they don’t care if the patient itself is vaccinated, pretty dumb if you ask me. Fast forward to me getting my X-rays done the assistant asks me to remove all my earring. I have 12 of them and they are the semi permanent kind. So it took me at least 15 minutes of frustration to get those out. Then I proceed to a separate room to wait for the dr jugen, he was extremely uncaring and monotone with me, he didn’t even greet me when he walked in he just went straight to the computer and began talking. He literally talked to me for about 8 minutes and told me to have a good day. To seal the deal the visit was $400 which I was not talked to about. I understand any kind of medical procedure is expensive but a warning or estimate would’ve been nice. In the end the only person who was semi nice was the lady at the front desk who checked me out. She apologized to me when she realized that I wasnt made aware of the consultation price.

I would highly recommend Dr.Jugan to anyone that needs an oral surgeon. My son is 2 years old and tongue-tie and It was extremely difficult to find anyone that was willing to do a frenectomy at his age. We were feeling hopeless until we were referred to Dr Jugan. After our consultation he agreed to do the procedure and was very confident on the outcome. He was personable and had very good bedside manners. The entire staff was great from the front desk to the nursing staff. Very friendly and welcoming. We also had an emergency after hour call at 4am and he was available and did a follow up call the next day to make sure my son was okay. Overall we were extremely happy with the entire experience.

I contemplated getting my wisdom teeth removed due to anxiety, but needed them out asap due to a bad infection.Very grateful that I found this place.Visited a few other places for oral surgery but they didnt give me a good vibe. During the consultation @ this place, I felt comfortable knowing the procedure was going to go well and it went above and beyond my expectations . The procedure was painless . Was a little sore for two days with no excruciating pain and Im healing nicely on day 3 ! ( some pain is of course expected with teeth extraction and the pain was better than I thought it would be)A huge thank you to dr. Jugan and his staff. I seriously appreciate it .😁

I loved my experience at Dr. Jugan’s office. I was very over due to get my wisdom teeth removed, from start to finish everyone was more than helpful in my experience. Dr. Jugan was very helpful in consult, I had no bruising and he did an excellent job with anesthesia as that was one of my main concerns. I was in severe pain and needed two extractions. I was referred here by my dentist. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. With trepidation and instructions from my dentist, I went to see Dr. Jugan for my very first implant. I spent the last year with the good people at the Center having to have my upper jaw rebuilt and heal, and implant inserted and tested. I had many appointments during this time period, many of them just to have Dr. Jugan and his staff ensure that the work done was healing well with no problems. Dr. Jugan answered my many questions so I could understand the procedures, and I gained great confidence in him and his skills. The staff at the front desk and the medical assistants (thank you Alex!) were always friendly and professional. I now have a new upper tooth that Im sure will keeping me chewing for many years to come!

My first contact was with the office manager, Claudia and I was completely blown away by how helpful and kind she was and how fast she was at getting back to me! A lot of doctors don’t realize how important it is to have administration like Claudia. The first point of contact is crucial!On to the appointments…Ive had several appointments and always had total ease getting an appt that works with my busy schedule. My appointments always run on time, Dr Jugan is really knowledgeable and makes me feel comfortable throughout the appointment! I required a tooth implant on a front upper tooth and was referred to the Desert Maxillofacial Center, where my dentist, Dr. James Lake, had interned and received extensive work himself. It was a long process requiring a bone graft, but Dr. Jugan would not cut corners and today I have a solid, good looking restoration. The staff, from the helpful front desk, to the specially trained dental assistants were first rate--and on time! Although this is not an inexpensive procedure, the office manager helped me obtain the most cost-effective treatment possible. I would recommend this office to a friend.

You performed surgery on me on Monday, April 14th at 2:00 in your Rancho Mirage office. I met with you on Friday, April 18th, for a follow-up and you discovered I had an infection and prescribed antibiotics. On April 25th, I returned to your office and did not meet with you, but with one of your assistants who took an ex-ray of my teeth, but never looked into my mouth. He said I was healing fine and when I got to Prescott, to have my new dentist call to get my dental records to conclude the implant process and that should take place in about three months.On May 8th, I had my initial meeting with my new Prescott dentist, Dr. Jason Campbell. After my initial probing and teeth cleaning and ex-rays, I was alarmed to find that my implant that you installed only three weeks prior had come loose and was falling out. Dr. Campbell’s office took a C-Scan of my mouth and it was readily apparent to the untrained eye that there was no back wall for the implant to grow on to. The surgery was botched from the beginning and it was only a matter of time until it fell out. Luckily for me, Dr. Campbell is a licensed peridontist and he cleared his calendar immediately and performed oral surgery to rebuild the bone and repair the initial surgery. Needless to say I have endured more pain and suffering with this second surgery than I should have and as a result of these complications, I am requesting a full reimbursement of the $4000 I paid you for an unsuccessful surgery.I’ve had a lot of oral surgery in my lifetime and know what is involved and how the healing process should progress. I think of you as being an honorable person and hope you will accommodate my request at your earliest convenience. Neither my husband nor I will be returning to your care.
