Great Drs here, definitely recommend Dr. Lissaur, super thankful for finding him, he is by far 1 of the best psych Drs I have ever came across! The staff is super friendly, office is very clean . Definitely recommend for any psych needs!

My feedback is directed only at the office staff and not Dr. Lissaur. They are all inept and not able to do their job, including whoever answers the phone, as she does not talk into the phone so you cannot hear her. My appointment was canceled before payment was received and I was not informed so I waited for an hour for the telehealth visit and no one called. I even got a reminder text an hour before my appt to confirm. The person who handles payments stated she called to make payment arrangements, but i never received a call, text, or voicemail at any time. The support staff for Dr. Lissaur is extremely difficult to work with and I feel that they lie and do not do their jobs. Dr. Lissaur lost a patient for the simple fact that his staff is incompetent.
I can’t speak for all the doctors at this clinic, but I have had a great experience with my psychiatrist, Dr. Lissaur. He is kind, empathetic & caring, and he respects me as a patient enough to value my thoughts/feelings in regards to my treatment. As an individual & longtime patient of psychiatry, I know what helps me, what does not help me, how I respond to certain medications & I am aware of side effects. It’s nice to be listened to. It’s nice to be respected as a person & not just interacted with as a mental health patient. If he changes clinics, I’ll change too lol. Not sure about some of these other providers in the reviews..
If I share how wonderful this medical group is then they will have more patients and that means it will be hard to get in or speak to anyone . Because Right now I get right in my call gets right threw everyone is amazing., and I see 3 Dr out of the there office . Out of the 3 I can say my 3 Doctors are wonderful, kind, human, and smart! I don’t know I just might be prejudiced, but I love my medical group . The only way I would change my doctors is if I’ve moved far away and wasn’t able to keep them even then I would try to keep them as long as I can.Besides God ! Im not sure where these 5 star reviews are coming from because this is no way these reviews are true. The level of incompetence of these people is shocking and distressing.Something as simple as getting a prescription sent to another pharmacy takes these people FOREVER to accomplish, if they ever do. Most times the office can call in your prescription on their behalf, but not these clowns. You have to waste days of your life calling over and over again while your mental health deteriorates.Their providers either have thick accents that are nearly impossible to understand (Slough) or they are extremely late for appointments, in some cases not even CALLING at all. (Alma)I regret ever being forwarded to this ridiculous place. Dont waste your time here. You deserve far better

I wouldnt go here for mental health unless you want to make your mental health worse. Absolutely terrible doctors that dont give a damn about you other than your money.And if you do happen to go here DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT accept Dr. Akta Patel as your MD. She sets you up for a 11:30am appointment and you wont be seen till 4:00PM and even if you try calling in to see whats going on with your appointment their front office staff cant do anything about it. Its a know fact that the Dr’s there are Late on appointments.

I just like a Dr to step into the room you are waiting in. Felt strange having to go into an office after. Not sure about the Telemed thing but will try it altho once a week is just too much. Every 3 wks or monthly would be better. Im pretty busy so dont know if Ill be able to do that. Staff was very Nice. Willing to try for awhile to see if it fits my needsAlso not taking blood test to monitor my bp when its been fine w my current meds & I dont want to change that as I had a Bad experience w a Dr. back in 2007
This was my first appointment with Dr. Lissaur, and I liked him. He starts early, and he likes to meet his patients every four weeks on the same day and time. That works perfectly for me as I set up my meeting to be before I start work. He also took time to get to know me and asked a lot of questions about the meds I am on.
Constantly scheduling appointments without my consent. Every time you sent me the message to confirm I never confirmed so you kept scheduling appointments for 2 days later until now refusing to see me because I missed so many appointments. If I needed or wanted to be seen I would have scheduled an appointment instead of trying to force me to be seen during the hours I work. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
I shoulda listened to the reviews, This guy does not know how to talk to people, my Symptoms are me complaining, I asked him it’s funny bc I thought I was seeking help but it’s me complaining? Then due to my sensitivity it’s gonna be difficult to work w me? Probably the worst experience I’ve had trying to set up an appointment with a doctor. I was a new patient who made an appointment over the phone with Alyssa and just about an hour after my appointment was made I received a call back with her saying I was denied seeing any doctor from their facility due to a incident with Dr. Ralph Lassaur being stated that I was rude to him. I don’t remember ever seeing a Ralph Lassaur, and I don’t see why I would be rude to a doctor in the first place. It was very odd, and strange. All I’m saying, is if you plan on being a doctor and taking care of people then understand what you’re signing up for. Understand that people are coming to you with mental health issues and may not always be the most pleasant to work with but it’s not them, it’s the disease and issue this individual is suffering from. Very unprofessional. I dodged a bullet here. I would not advice seeking any type of treatment from this facility or any doctors associated with this place. This is going all over social media. I have over 1 million followers on Instagram and 4.4 on tik tok. This will go viral and I will make sure no one goes through what I went through.
The staff is pleasant and warm. Dr. Patel is a good listener. She calls and checks on her patients. Her patients are more than just clients, she treats them like people. She is attentive to your request for refills on medications, and within a timely manner.
PSYCHIATRIST CAUSES PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS. I had a horrible first impression of psychiatry services at Desai Medical Group off of Magnolia Avenue in Riverside, California. I was assigned to speak with Aizzel Trieu, NP, my first ever consultation with someone who had the license to guide me toward medication that may assist with ongoing attention and focus issues, in alignment with my quitting a 25-year oral candy addiction. Initially, the meeting was going okay, as Ms. Trieu was listening to my narrative, but toward the end of the meeting I became increasingly flustered and frustrated, for various reasons: (1) Ms. Trieu was pushing to medicate the totality of my “broken brain” with psychiatric medication, while I specifically requested medication assistance ONLY with focus and attention, while my long-term therapy has been treating PTSD; (2) this NP failed to acknowledge that I have had A THERAPIST FOR OVER 12 YEARS, and didn’t even bother to ask me for any cross-exchange of information for a holistic and integrated approach to psychiatric medicine, combined with historically successful behavioral therapy and dietary changes; (3) this medical provider projected overly accusatory language about my requesting assistance with attention and focus, claiming that there is a strong history of abuse of stimulant-related psychiatric drugs in general, and her strong language made me feel like I came into her office like some kind of drug addict, even though I had never even been to a psychiatrist before, let along never even taken any psychiatric drugs. The worst part about this interaction was Ms. Trieu being disorganized and wasting my time with respect to an initial prescription of low dose “Straterra:” at the end of our lengthy conversation, she told me that she sent a prescription of Straterra to my regular Rite Aid pharmacy. Right after 5pm on a Friday, September 8, 2023, I entered my Rite Aid pharmacy, and the staff informed me that no prescription had been sent to the pharmacy under my name. I tried calling the Desai Medical Group, but they were unavailable for the whole weekend. I called in the office off Magnolia on Monday morning of 9/11/2023, around 8:30 am, and the Desai staff at the front desk proceeded to look at my chart. She informed me that no medications were prescribed—even though I spent over two hours with Ms. Trieu, who informed me a prescription was waiting for me. I became increasingly frustrated, explaining to the front desk staff that I had been waiting for over three weeks to receive any form of legitimate psychiatric assessment and treatment; she said that she would reach out to the medical provider about this problem. So, that was 9/11 at 8:30 am. Now it is 5:00pm on 9/12, and I have received NO CALL BACK. Never in my recent medical experiences had I ever been in a situation where a medical provider FAILED TO SEND PRESCRIPTION TO THE PHARMACY, AND FAILED TO FOLLOW UP AND CALL ME BACK TO FIX A PRESCRIPTION PROBLEM. This service was INCOMPETENT at best and a COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME. There WAS NOTHING PROFESSIONAL about this situation; and further AGGRAVATED MY MENTAL HEALTH RATHER THAN HELP ALLEVIATE ANYTHING. I was so angered by this entire lack of medical service by Desai Medical Group, that I was forced to change providers to another medical clinic in downtown Riverside, California. I will be reporting this grievance to Desai Medical Group, Inland Empire Health Plan, and Google Reviews.
Abysmal practices. I called for an appt on 5/18/23. I was instructed to email my photo and insurance information and I would be receiving a call to schedule an appointment in 3 business days. I let 8 business days pass before contacting them again on 5/30. The receptionist sounded completely confused about who I was. After placing me on hold multiple times, she came back to ask if I was waiting for a primary care appointment. I reminded her this was for psychiatry. Another hold. Comes back and says that I already had an appointment made. I assured her I never spoke to anyone after the email. Another hold. Comes back and tells me that they entered my information wrong and had me down for primary care under someone else’s information? She let me know they would contact me the following day as the person who had the mix up was out. Never received a call. No surprise. I called yet again yesterday 6/8/23 and after multiple holds, I was finally given an appt time of 10 am for today 6/9 via Telehealth. I got the forms via email. Filled them out and returned them. I was given zero contact after. I called today at 10:50 am letting them know I had an appt at 11 and haven’t received my Telehealth link. Receptionist apologizes and said it will be sent shortly. I call back at 11:08 inquiring. Receptionist said the doctor was running late and she would reach out to them and call me back right away. 11:55 am I call and state my name and as I’m explaining I’m STILL waiting, she sighs and hangs up on me. Are you serious? I call back and get a different receptionist and ask her what is going on. She has no answer. I ask her to please delete my entire profile and never contact me again. This feels like a medical scam. I wasted hours waiting, calling, filling our forms, calling again, emailing etc. I am lucky that I have agency over my mind and have the means to continuously reach out. I can’t imagine how many times those with diminished capabilities are left without help due to this practice. I will be filing a complaint with my insurance to hopefully ban this location from accepting our insurance. This is disgusting. From mixing up personal records to hanging up on clients in need of mental health…. It’s unacceptable. I don’t care if they’re overwhelmed with clients. That is no excuse for the poor treatment of individuals seeking mental health. Avoid at all costs.
The Doctor really shows empathy when I was describing my moms symptoms to him. He made sure she is on the right dosage and helping with her mental health issue.
I feel comfortable and cared for and about when Im there. Never too pushy only concerned about your best health. Thank you Dr. Desai and staff.

Dr. Desai is a wonderful doctor and he is very responsive to his patients needs. Furthermore, the entire team, at the medical group, are fantastic. They are always quick to respond and very flexible, which is greatly appreciated.
The doctor I encountered was unhelpful and refused to prescribe both instant Adderall and Concerta, my current medication for nearly a year. Despite explaining my 16-hour shifts and Concertas 12-hour duration, the doctor insisted on either Adderall in the morning and afternoon or Concerta alone. After a three-week wait, I was instructed to travel 40 miles and wait three more days to get my Concerta prescription. The doctors refusal to listen or understand ADHD patients is disappointing.
I have been with dr Desai for a few years now after having many doctors before him, dr Desai is so professional and caring, he makes sure to check up on me in between refills and always has an open ear. He is honestly the best doctor I’ve had in forever!

Doctor just doesn’t show up to appointments? Office is closed. They say give an hour window of wait time for appointments which is really inconvenient/inconsiderate to assume clients can do. Yeah use at your own risk I guess.
This place is a joke.My Appointment was with UCHENNA ORJII had an appoint at 3:15pm. I waited 15 minutes and called them as no one was joining the link to the video chat they sent. The person on the phone told me the nurse was just running a little late and that it wasnt a video call but a phone call. While I am literally on the video chat link they sent.I wait an hour. I call again. She says she will give him a message to call me. I wait another hour to call AGAIN. Straight to voice mail. So I prepared and waited for a phone call/video chat that never came. Despite the multiple confirmations of my appointment. They closed with not so much as a rescheduling or a sorry we missed you.
Ive always disliked the idea of going to a therapist, probably due to the facts im not used to talking about my problems. Either i feel im being judged or because ive been told im overreacting invalidating my feelings or make me feel weak. Ive always been able to move past things in life but it comes a time we overload. Dr. AKTA PATEL understood, she didnt make me feel i was overreacting and she hasnt made me try to completly relive anything of my past but helping me focus on the present and future. Worst experience ever! Provider was always late. Then for 3rd session, she never showed up even after calling and rescheduling for same day. Customer service was awful and I was very discouraged by this experience.

Called to make a new patient visit, the girl scheduled me for the wrong provider, I only knew that after the provider himself told me that he was the wrong provider for me, they called me back telling me that they had made a mistake and to reschedule the same day for 1 pm, the later call me back and tell me that I need to come in, I was sick so I called back and rescheduled for the next Fri, the girl I spoke with told me she moved my app and canceled the one for that day, I show up to the office and they tell me I have no appointment, shortly before I hear one of them tell the other one I messed up and scheduled her for the wrong provider, so now they tell me the provider is on vacation till next month, Im 2 Months pregnant and havent been seen because of inadequate training and inept front office, this is beyond ridiculous and unprofessional!

I am really impressed with Dr. Arnon Desai. He makes me feel very safe, and at ease. He listens patiently, and explains his plan of action. Its the first time I have had a doctor check on me weekly with a phone call, and because of my health complications, it is very comforting. It can be very difficult to find a doctor who is compassionate, and I feel very blessed to have found one.

He rushes through appointments, has a strong Indian accent that makes him hard to understand, and is often late for phone appointments. Instead of seeing patients in a typical medical room, he makes them come to his office, which has a home-like environment, and sit on his couch to discuss their medical issues.The staff is unprofessional, and the waiting room is small and dirty with only about six chairs. Instead of meeting in a typical medical room, the doctor has you sit on his personal couch in his office.
He is very interested in his patients and is constant in their supervision and what they need,🙏🏻

2024-05-14 19:05:07I dont recommend this clinic for its unorthodox practices and lack of care for their patients. I was prescribed a medication that was not covered under my insurance, and it took time to be prescribed a replacement. I had a follow up appointment scheduled without my knowledge, and when I tried to cancel they had already charged my copay. Their notification system does not have an option to cancel through text or email, which makes it difficult to cancel within the 24 hour policy that they have instilled. When I called, they told me there was nothing they could do about refunding my money. I wont be coming back to this office due to their lack of compassion and care. Im a student and cant afford these types of mishaps that are the result of the offices negligence.

Dr. Lissaur puts his patients on Effexor, and that’s what every other prescriber discourages because of the withdrawal symptoms. Be careful with anything you increase dosage on!!! Nice people, not good prescribers. I shared my worries, and he was admit on his patients never having a problem. Not only is this a harder drug, but he wants to taper off FAST! Not safe. Literally.

2024-03-13 05:44:30Dr. Lissaur from Desai Medical Group has been my psychiatrist for about a year now and Ive been on Xanax. He originally prescribed me to only 6 pills every 2 weeks because he said he didnt feel comfortable prescribing that type of medication. I understood why he was cautious and agreed to it. My dose was eventually changed to 12 pills every 4 weeks. As time went by, however, he told me he wanted to lower my dose even more, which I completely disagreed with since he was only giving me 12 pills a month; he complied. Since then, during our appointments, he usually asks me how much Xanax I have left over so as to not exceed 12 pills when he orders a refill. I always thought that was a bit much but I was always honest, respectful, and worked with him.I am now giving my review because I just received my Xanax from the pharmacy and instead of 12 pills in the bottle, there are only 7. My appointment was today and he didnt discuss lowering my dose at all, he just did it of his own accord. Now I need to call the office tomorrow in order to find out the reason for the lowered dose and whether or not I can continue receiving the agreed amount of 12 pills for 4 weeks. Not cool and not fun. I dont need that type of stress in my life, especially when considering the type of mental suffering I go through. The fact is, this incident is not only inconvenient, but extremely unprofessional and not even normal people would want this kind of doctor. I need as much consistency and normality in my life as possible because of my condition and this doctor is making it worse. I highly recommend avoiding him if youre considering Desai Medical Group.

2024-02-08 18:53:31TLDR: Desai Medical Group and Provider Kemerick Takang are unprofessional, inappropriate, and treating patients with misinformation. They allow providers to have personal biases that influence appointments, and don’t have resources to schedule patients with qualified professionals. They also will never reply to your emails expressing concern. Huge failures to address patient needs.I was referred here for a specific behavioral health evaluation. The first barrier came when they were using different insurance procedure codes than most practices. One receptionist incorrectly told me that I can call my insurance and get them to change the procedures codes in the referral. This is not true for any insurance policy as far as I know…After getting the referral that they needed, I rescheduled my appointment for the specific evaluation I was there for. It became clear when the provider called me by phone, no one had put the evaluation reason in the appointment description for the provider so she had no indication about what I was there for despite me actually specifically asking the receptionist to include it.Provider Kemerick Takang made me feel entirely unsafe right away when she proceeded to state outdated information and facts concerning the diagnosis I was exploring, misinformation that is so widely known it’s even practically viral on social media. Like I already knew and tried to tell reception up front, this type of evaluation could not be conducted over the phone. So she had to reschedule me for a video appointment later in the day.In the time between, I decided to research Kemerick Takang and find out what her qualifications were. I found out she has no specialization in the diagnosis I was being evaluated for, and she was a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, not the appropriate level of professional to conduct such an evaluation. For initial context: I was referred here by my regular Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for an advanced evaluation beyond her specialties and the resources of the clinic.These were already red flags that were compounded by her lack of knowledge and education demonstrated upfront. I decided to keep the appointment anyway and see what we could accomplish, when I received a text with the video link in which the name of her virtual treatment room was “GOD’S WILL”.I was shocked as I had done virtual appointments many times and it was always named after the provider. I respect all faiths and religions, and in fact do value people having the option to have faith based counseling, but I did not make this appointment for any faith based reason and in fact have religious traumas so this immediately was a dealbreaker. Also, it’s highly inappropriate and unprofessional for a medical provider to overlay an appointment with their personal religious beliefs, as folks such as myself may have trauma or just be part of an entirely different religion. The appointment should be about the patient, not the provider. I told her that I was feeling very uncomfortable and would not be moving forward with our appointment.I did write to Desi Medical Group about my concerns of both Provider Kemerick Takang’s unqualified and inappropriate approaches to our appointment. No one responded so I followed up, and was told the director would respond by the end of the week. This was 3 weeks ago and I still have not received a response.Desai Medical Group seems to have some serious breakdowns in communication that cause them to fail at being attuned to patient needs, truly demonstrating a lack of concern in my case, and I would recommend finding somewhere less shoddy to have your behavioral health evaluations done.

2024-02-15 05:27:07Dr, Lissar from Desai Medical Group has prescribed medication that has given me relief from insomnia. I have had extreme issues with insomnia beginning in 1989. Nothing I was prescribed in the past, by many other doctors worked that well. Its great to get a good nights sleep!

2024-04-04 18:04:06One of the worst office staff ive ever had to deal with. I have been overcharged for my copay not once but 3 times. I have had to call the office more that 8 times trying to reach the office manager who said she cant do refunds and will put a credit on my account to which they never do and continue to overcharge me. I have to switch doctors because of this issue so be advised to check what they charge you every month.
