This restaurant serves the traditional Chinese dishes. Would be good for a family get-together as your parents will enjoy the old time cooking. There is plenty of parking. Prepare for Wait time at lunch. There are waiting seats which help with older folks. Dinner is less crowded. Prices are on the high side. Be prepared to spend. You will enjoy a delicious meal though, with fast waiter services.

We had a large party of 13. They allowed us to put two large tables together to accommodate our party. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed all the dishes. We ate family style. We had 6 dishes for our side of the table. We ordered a beef dish, chow mein, curry, baby bok choy with mushrooms, green beans and a whole chicken (soy chicken with ginger scallion sauce) everything was very flavorful. The curry came with paratha bread which was so good. The service was friendly and attentive. We had some leftovers. Would definitely return to try more dishes.

Cool retro style HK cafe in Diamond Bar area, definitely has some of the 90s feel to the interior (by design) and even has a hanging SNES overhead.The atmosphere is quite cool, laid back. All drinks get free refills, including the specialty ones like Iced Lemon Tea or HK Milk Tea, which is a nice touch.The food is decent, while not the best HK Cafe, I can see why people come here for the consistency and the service. Their BBQ meats are decent at best.All that being said, it’s a cool spot to hang out and enjoy HK style food with friends and family.

Pretty good canto food. Fried pork was good, buns were good, cauliflower was good, bbq plate not that great. Seemed like it was a couple of days old. Decor was upscale hole in the wall. I hear the dim sum is not bad, so will want to check that out sometime. Was also a little upset my kumquat lemonade didn’t have any kumquats in it. But oh well, think this place is a solid 4

Came here on a long weekend Sunday at 9.30 and there was already a wait. Luckily not too bad of a line. Strongly recommend the buns. If you buy some to go, warm them up in the microwave for 5-10 seconds and they will still taste amazing. All other food are good too. Come early to avoid a longer wait. Their lemon tea is refillable. Enjoy!

(8/31/2023) Come back here again for good Cantonese food, and its always good in general. Service is good and very quickly. Unfortunately, This DFC price is way higher than other locations of DFC or other Cantonese Cafe. Recommended the dishes in the photo, they are all good and big portions as well. Also, Lemon Ice Tea is worth trying. Overall, probably one of my options if I wanted Cantonese food again.

Very famous Hong Kong restaurant; still very busy at 8:30pm (they close at 9pm). Unfortunately they only serve pineapple bun with butter till 2:30pm, so not a dinner item. All other dishes are still very good and tasty. The clay pot rice (not really cooked by a clay pot) is so good - you can find the rice very crispy at the bottom of the pot.

Typical HK style breakfast that really hits the spot. Good selection of items including porridge, noodles, steamed rice rolls and more. The bbq pork steamed rolls were tasty and the porridge had a ton of pork and preserved egg. The pineapple buns were good but too small. They also give free refills on milk tea. Short 10-15 minute wait around 9:30AM on Sunday.Cons: the soy sauce noodles came out barely warm and after 5 minutes it was already cold and chewy.We ordered takeout and had to ask them three times for it. The third time they brought out the drinks but still forgot the pineapple buns.

Today is the soft opening.Service is FANTASTIC and attentive, despite they are SUPER BUSY !Drinks are GREAT !Kumquat Lemon with honey = Taste Grade ALemon tea with passion fruit flavor = Taste Grade A-I love the FREE REFILLS on the REGULAR lemon tea and it tastes great and NOT too sweet.The food are just ok in my standard.Soy sauce chicken = Taste Grade BHoney BBQ Pork = Taste Grade C+Roasted Duck= Taste Grade D+The skin is NOT crispy at all and the meat is dry.Pan fried jumbo shrimp with tomato sauce = Taste Grade C+I will be back again for breakfast because they include a FREE drink.

This place has a big selection of food on the menu, and a lot of big tables for large parties.Very crowded! So dont go during the peak hours to avoid the long wait.Most of the drinks come with free refills which is a good deal.All the dishes we ordered were pretty good, but not the best. The egg tofu with mushrooms was a bit too sweet, and the store fried veggies was a bit oily.For the price, the flavor of food, and the crowdedness, Ill only go only when I have a big party.

New location just opened very recently! The food was great for a takeout experience. Their service was accommodating, they gave me a free iced tea to go since I was waiting so long. Definitely recommend ordering ahead online or on the phone for takeout. Will have to go again to experience dining in! The restaurant is very clean and gives me strong diner vibes! Huge variety of Cantonese breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes that are all freshly made. My favorite was definitely the Chicken Congee, a soothing savory porridge that is surprisingly flavorful.

It’s a chain- can hardly go wrong with service. This one is their newest one I think- I watched it being renovated when I drive past on my commutes. Found this location to be very clean and the waiters extremely helpful.Directed me to where I could pick up my to-go order.Food is solid. Congee, noodles, bbq pork…Usually depends on what I’m craving because their menu is HUGE. And what time. I grabbed lunch here and I just love salted fish and chicken tofu pot. It’s hard to find nowadays. Their rice bowls with the hk preserved meat is super good too as well as honestly- all of their dishes. Sometimes depending on who the chef is the dishes can come out a bit salty so I always order light salt (or maybe because I eat at home and don’t use too much seasoning….)

Breakfast is good, a big bowl of porridge and a sandwich for $15 is not bad as it is good enough for 2 people. And the food is good.But for lunch, it is expensive. This restaurant lives up to its name. Simple no frills Chinese style comfort food at good prices. Lots of varieties, although I wasn’t able to find the typical won ton on their menu. With all the food we tried there wasn’t any dish that was subpar. Even the simple curry fish ball had good taste and flavorful. Their Roast Pork skin was crispy and not too dry. House Special Stir Fry vermicelli hit all the right notes, and their beef chow fun was done with minimal oil. Wait staff was busy but still attentive as they kept our HK Style milk tea and other drinks refilled. The beef stir fry udon had a good blend of flavor, and the chicken wings (although came later in the game) was one of everyone’s favorite.

We went on Saturday evening and the place was packed. We ordered the wonton soup, salty fish pork patty rice pot, and their house string bean. The wonton is OK; the soup does have the flavor of roasted fish, as it should for wonton soup.The broth is on the salty side. The house string bean with a mix of sliced ginger, onions, and ground pork is stir-fried in perfect harmony and is the tastiest of the 3 dishes we ordered. The salty fish used for the rice pot is of high quality. The pork patty is done smooth and juicy. It is overall as expected. The service was good and courteous unlike another HK-style bistro in San Gabriel that I dont want to name in this review. No, it is not their Rosemead location.

Food is good. Im not going to say its perfect nor its under graded. Its just about right. Location is great too, just off the highway. I think the place used to be a cocos restaurant. Anyway, the price is average, around 15 dollars/person if you dont order anything fancy. Personally be there for a couple of times. No troubles have been faced and hope will not face in the future. I have been living near to this restaurant for 3 years but have never known it is a gem in town for authentic Hong Kong food. Every single dishes is so delicious just like its name. My family came here to eat for breakfast, it was so good so they came back on the same day to eat dinner and dinner was excellent too. We came on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm with a party of 7 and were seated around 20 minutes later.We ordered preserved century egg with pork congee, pineapple bun with butter, three combo plate with duck, roasted pork, and honey bbq pork, fried squid with spicy salt, steamed shrimp flour roll, filet mignon cube with mushroom, beef chow fun dark soy sauce, and more, as well as drinks. After tips, our whole meal came out to be $30/person. All the food and drinks we ordered were yummy, authentic Chinese food, and they were very generous with the portion.The servers were very on top of refilling our drinks and checking in on us. They were also patient with us when everyone at the table was ordering their food.Overall, I would definitely come back again. Great food and great service!

The price is unreasonable. The service is bad. The food is low quality.Serving tea each person per cup of $3.5, then 4 person got charged of $14, comparing to the same style cafe, where may serve tea with a teapot per table with only $1 or even each person with complimentary cup of tea.The Tofu hotpot with duck meat costs $16.50. As a main course, it was cooked more like by a housewife instead of the chef.The waitress was never shown after the order. They are lack of people. We saw the tea was ready on the serving counter for a while but nobody took it to us. You may have to serve yourself.

I consider the food to be good, no doubt. However, warning that the portions are small on top of the menu price being high to start with. The duck has a unique taste and the fried rice is good (it can be hard to find a good order of fried rice with that essential sauté/wok taste here) but an order of whole duck looked nothing like a whole duck and they have fried rice for $18- and the smallest portion/amount I have ever encountered in the US. No exaggeration. I like that they serve Hong Kong food that is not dim sum, which is difficult to find, but for these prices and sizes I personally will pass on returning. Also - dont order the Hong Kong coffee. It doesnt even taste like coffee, it tastes like nothing.

Whether youre looking for an hk breakfast or lunch, this is the type of place to go. It has been a few years since I last came to a Delicious Food Corner, but still great food and great atmosphere! It is slightly pricey if you want more food and wanting to try some new things, price point wise it did go above $20 per person. But food was worth it!Best dish definitely for this trip goes to the fried squid! Nicely crispy on the outside, but very tender center. Yummy, even though it was the last dish that came out and we were mostly full, it was still good. Thats how you tell if youre not hungry anymore but the food still taste delicious and you want to eat more. The shrimp rice roll was great too. Cant really compare to Joes in NYC but still great with a little soy sauce and the chili oil. The chili oil is fragrant spice which complimented the rolls nicely!It was about a 20 minute wait for getting seated so not too bad, cause I remember in the past, it was closer to 1hr waits pre pandemic at other locations.

Place is very clean. Ordered the preserved meat clay pot rice and cart noodle. Cart noodle has good portion but I chose the BBQ duck and it was just skin and bones. The clay pot rice didnt come with a sweet soy sauce that Ive gotten at other places so I had to add my own since its flavorless without. On this Saturday mid morning, when I got to the parking lot, I waited for a car to pull out. Then some stood right on the parking space and waived to their friends to park. This is not right. There was no other parking available. Luckily after 5 min or so, several group of people started leaving. Probably morning crowd finished their meals.We waited about 30 minutes and got our seat. The food was decent Cantonese food. The Pineapple bun and curry fish balls tasted good. The fish balls didnt have the bouncy texture like the ones in Hong Kong but that hard to expect in US. Other dishes like roast pork and char shui were good as well.When we were ready to leave and handed the in the credit card receipt, the waitress complained about the tip. We paid 15% pre-tip. Watiress were expecting 15% on top of the tax. How rude. Could have been a good experience but ruined by parking and staff.

Wonderful place for Cantonese food. Got an assortment of items, lotus, fried pork belly, crispy fried egg tofu, and more. Generous proportions and great service. Im glad and appreciate that Diamond Bar is getting more restaurants. Especially those of Cantonese/HK type cafes so I dont have to drive far. LOL.But given my experience, I hope things get ironed out for them. Ive been here twice, once as breakfast/lunch and once for dinner. Both times the service was really slow (both times they attributed to under staffed). Dinner food wasnt bad, breakfast was mediocre at best. Also sister (as a medical professional) was appalled by their communal seating arrangement since pandemic isnt really over.At dinner, the group that we shared the communal table with, got sat and ordered after us, but still managed to get their food first and was mid way through before me and my sister had to (try with quite the intensity) to get the wait staffs attention to inquire where the hell our food was. LOL. Then when we were asking, the waiter that helped us cut us off mid question with a raised hand for us to stop talking (this happened twice). Personally, I thought that was kind of rude. Water that we asked for never got served until we asked again when we were also getting our check (even the staff that took our order realized that our water never came, although I appreciate him apologizing profusely). We ordered a shrimp scrambled egg and a 3 bbq choice noodles, they got the second order wrong and it was WAY too salty. The shrimp scrambled eggs was decent though! Quite liked how the eggs were moist and soft, the shrimp wasnt overcooked (dish was $19 after tax and tip).For breakfast, I ordered their spam and egg breakfast. My partner ordered their cheung fun and HK ham and egg sandwich with a side of iced tea (this has unlimited refills). The spam and egg dish was not appetizing at all. It was served cold, and portions were tiny. Two slices of spam, an egg and a few frozen fries (you can tell by the inedible rock hard texture). The flavors were bland and it was over $15 after tax and tip. The most expensive mediocre breakfast Ive ever had. The only slightly redeeming thing was their bolo bao and cheung fun, those two was served fresh and hot at least.Will I come again? I dont know. Im really hoping for better quality breakfast from them. Especially for the prices theyre charging.

I never had such horrible and disrespectful service at a restaurant - and also from a chain restaurant I loved and was a loyal patron to in other cities.This is my second time at this restaurant and Im glad to have gotten this second experience to fully write this review. My first experience had slow service but I never expected my second experience to be this low, unfair, and plain rude.Stating the facts, my parents and I came in the afternoon around 1:40 pm, specifically after the lunch rush so we can avoid the large crowds and get fast service. We were ignored for 25-30 minutes and our food wasnt even put to order in the kitchen due to incompetence. Our iced waters didnt even come out.Our order was simple. We ordered congee and a veggie dish. Two simple dishes. My dad and the waiter spoke Cantonese. Our waiter, male with dark hair and light brown highlights, suggested the fried pork dish. We respectfully declined his suggestion. He said he would put this service ticket in. My parents and I think he may have been upset we didnt take his dish suggestion and didnt see our bill as an expensive bill to give good service to. Judging by the look on the waiters face when he left, I dont think he cared much for us. We found out later he didnt even put our order in to make.It wasnt we called a woman waiter to ask if we got our order. We said wed been waiting for a while for a simple congee and veggie dish and asked if she can check on it. She went to the kitchen and came back and said the kitchen never got the order. We were confused and shocked. Although the kitchen closed, she said she would tell the chef to put in an order for us. We pointed the guy out, standing by the kitchen service window. Again, our waiter was male with light brown highlights, heavy build with dark eyebrows. Our woman waiter apologized for our service from this guy.Our woman waiter said she would talk to him and since we didnt get our food, or even waters, we just left, disappointed and hungry. My parents are very patient and understanding people and taught me to do the same. We waited patiently for our food and talked amongst ourselves until we realized the wait we had. I never seen them both so disappointed.It makes me sad to write this since I never ever want to bring negative energy on 1 restaurant for 1 waiters mistake. 1 star reviews are harsh. This is my first 1 star review. I feel the 1 star is fair for the amount of time we wasted, the treatment we received, our hungry stomachs, and my parents disappointed looks on their faces when we left. I never felt so embarrassed for taking my parents here.I wont ever visit this restaurant again based on this experience, nor will my parents, or my family members and friends who I tell this to. I understand I am just one person and Im not telling anyone to not visit, however, be warned of the service by that particular guy. I understand this may all be a misunderstanding at the end of day but the facts are true. We waited for 25-30 minutes, our waiter never put in our order or checked on us, we didnt even get our waters, and we left the restaurant still hungry and disappointed. I hope the owner or manager sees this review and offers better training to their employees. Thats all!

I observed the kitchen worker was using the urinal without washing his hand on the way out! I won’t come back here! It was disgusting.Replied update: I still remembered the individual was using the restroom without washing hands before walking back to the kitchen. I hope you can identify that employee and timing for the time using the restroom then washing hands it took sometimes instead was in a hurry to get out of the restroom. PLEASE KEEP THE PUBLIC SAFE WHEN THEY DINING IN YOU ESTABLISHMENT.
